“If you are in the area in late summer, be sure to check out the Elkhart County Fair. The fair is one of the largest 4-H County Fairs in the US, and it offers a wide variety of things to do.”

Bar
“They don't serve food but the staff are friendly and they keep your glass full! They also promote a BYOF (bring your own food) environment, which is great with so many other restaurants downtown. I like to get tacos from Los Primos or something from the deli at Maple City Market. ”

“Another movie theater that shows artsy films. Check them out on the web, they're sure to be showing something interesting. Even on Monday nights!”

Park
“This park was recently created around an old stone quarry. There's a nice walking trail that goes around the entire lake (former quarry) with nice park benches along the way to enjoy the views. Kayaks and canoes can be rented, although I would say the park is better enjoyed walking than boating given that the lake is fairly small.”

Music Venue
“Iconic Theater located on Main Street and going under a huge remodeling through December 2019. This theater is a gorgeous theater that will once again host shows, music events and local vibe shows and events. Make plans now to come back for the Riverbend Film Festival held each year the first weekend in May. One of the best midwest film festivals.”

“There are several local places to jump on this renowned trail, one of which is just northwest of the Maple House & Guest Inn, off of LaSalle--within walking distance! It's perfect for walking and biking. The scenery is so charming, and depending on where you hop on, you might also pass by grazing horses, camels, and bison! ”
