“Grand Central Market on South Broadway is always a hit because there are so many choices of food in such a little area! It is has bit of a large loft type feel to it (It’s been around since 1917!) but as it is so casual, it is fun to just take it all in and try all it has to offer. The soups at China Express are fantastic and I’ve had some really good pizza there! ”
“DOWNTOWN While visiting the Grand Central Market, be sure to pop accorss the street to this hidden Architectural gem (also seen in lots of movies!). ”
“The fact that gay bars are opening again on a regular basis in DTLA is a thrilling one. The fact that we got one as downright excellent as Precinct is the cherry on top. In terms of the space itself, Precinct isn’t exactly a jaw-dropper, but its large open floor plan works well for the massive crowds that are flocking to this place. And everyone is lining up for some of the best nightly entertainment downtown. Whether it’s Latin or Madonna night, or the bi-monthly bear celebration, Precinct is the craziest party in the neighborhood right now.”
“You can find the bar in the back of Bar Clacson, replete with pinball machines, arcade games, and a general 1980s bar with young men in socially acceptable crop tops talking to women with highly-flammable hair type of vibe. They sell a couple of beers, but it’s really all about the highballs.”
“Their breakfast is one of my favorites in Los Angeles. I used to go out of my way to their silverlake location but am SO happy now they have this downtown location!”
