Places to stay in Grand Mound
Looking for some seclusion? Awake to nature in this cozy treehouse for two! Enjoy verdant views from the loft in the double-sized bed. Newly constructed private half bath below the treehouse & shower house near the parking area. Private fire pit with propane grill, access to grocery stores & take out restaurants within 3 miles. Located centrally between Mt Rainier & the Olympic Mountains. (There is a 220 lb weight restriction on the ladder and ceiling height approx 5’9” upstairs in loft.)
This unique treehouse is a great getaway for nature lovers or those looking to do social distancing in style. There are many walkways through Douglas firs, cedars, hemlocks and rhododendrons as well as back wood paths that meander though grand firs and old growth of a few hundred years. In the spring, a ceremony of frogs lull you to sleep, summer months bring cool nights out on the wrap around deck. Autumn leaves from maples measure as wide as 18" and winter brings sometimes a rare snowfall that is magical. This is an experience, not a hotel. On windy nights, you will feel the treehouse sway. Everyday amenities are a little different--even the walk to the treehouse itself is a little journey. The treehouse half bathroom was built around the base of a large cedar and is just at the foot of the treehouse with a composting toilet and sink with hot water. Our new beautiful outdoor cedar shower house has skylights to showcase the trees above it and is available when temperatures are above freezing. Your stay includes a private fire pit with pre-cut wood, tv with assorted DVD movies, and an electric fireplace to keep you toasty warm. Near the private fire pit is a propane grill with an additional private seating area. On the deck is a large cooler to keep your food and beverages fresh. There is no microwave or stove. Plates, wine glasses with bottle opener, silver ware, coffee mugs with coffee and condiments, instant oatmeal as well as tea and hot chocolate are provided. Other things to note: The treehouse is approximately 190 sq ft. This treehouse is NOT suitable for large or tall persons, or persons with mobility challenges. The bed is a full size, and the ladder leading to the bedroom loft has a max weight limit of 220 lbs. The loft height is approx 5’9” at its highest. We are a strict non-smoking site, that includes the outdoors and woods. If the treehouse smells of smoke —even by association of smoking in your vehicle, it will still permeate in the fibers of the treehouse. There is an extra $400 cleaning fee for smoke scent removal of the treehouse. (Very difficult when dealing with natural fibers and tree bark.) Composting toilet: ALL MUST SIT! Sit until you feel the seat compress. You will hear/feel a little click. This is the back sliding door of the bowl opening to allow solid waste and paper to enter. If you do not follow these instructions and cause liquid to enter the back compost compartment, or damage the blue sliding door by not allowing it to be open during use, which then damages the door by having waste collect on it, you may be charged the following: $75 extra cleaning fee, $200 for sliding door bowl replacement and labor. Lastly, bed linen staining. If the sheets are stained, you may be charged any or all of the following: $100 for sheet replacement, $100 for pad replacement, and $200 for comforter replacement. We do host small weddings on occasion, so please inquire for details to set up a preview appt.
A mixed area of tribal-owned land, and private home/land owners. Close access to I-5, Hawks Prairie shopping, grocery stores, and restaurants are three miles away, one exit south off exit 111.

Visited Pints Barn just down the street - perfect neighborhood hangout place to grab some drinks (with some outdoor seating too!). We enjoyed the farmers market the next day and were sad to say goodbye to our good friends trooper, moo moo, & little moo!

See photos for map.
  • I brought my son to Stephanie’s place to celebrate his 7th birthday. It was such a lovely experience for us to get away from the flow of our normal routine and spend time just the two of us. Stephanie was outside when we arrived and greeted us warmly. The space was clean and cozy. We loved that it felt so close to nature but was so easily accessible. We loved going for a walk with Stephanie and the goats in the morning. She has truly created a special place!

    Melissa2020-03-09T00:00:00Z
  • Stephanie's place is comfortable and was just what we needed. There is a nicely stocked kitchen. The setting is lovely and quiet.

    Chris2020-03-08T00:00:00Z
  • I don't think I could have found a better spot to stay in Olympia. I used Stephanie's spot as a home base while at a training in Tumwater. It was a great location for all forms of transportation. I walked and biked everywhere. It's also very close to Watershed Park, one of my favorite in the city. The place was tidy, super comfy, and Mac/Dutch the goats were even cuter in person than pictures. Stephanie was easy going, communicative, and very fun to chat with.

    Emily2020-03-05T00:00:00Z
  • Stephanie was wonderful and made my stay comfortable and peaceful. Exactly what I needed.

  • This space was wonderful!! I love the ceilings and your accommodating notes in the binder. It reminded me how I want my future studio to look like - so cute and homey! It was inviting, inspiring, and comfortable! Also very peaceful and quiet. It looks exactly like the photos.

  • Great space, excellent location! Beds were comfortable, very clean space!

    Lisa2020-03-08T00:00:00Z
  • I’ve stayed here a few times and will be back. Cute space, great location and just what I need. Fully recommend!

    Tara2020-02-27T00:00:00Z
  • My sister and I stayed in the Bungalow for two nights. Check in and out was easy and the hosts were great and super responsive. It was a great size for the two of us and very cute, with everything we could have needed. I appreciated that it had staples like coffee and olive oil. The mattress in the bedroom is quite firm, which I didn't mind, but just fyi. The pullout bed in the sitting room was a futon. The location is good, not too far from downtown. The walk from downtown back to the bungalow is a bit of a climb, but doable. I would recommend the bungalow!

    Carmen2020-02-23T00:00:00Z
  • Clean and comfortable space. Safe, quiet, convenient, walkable location. Would definitely recommend!

Looking for a personal retreat site, a central location for adventure, or just a place to spend a night or weekend? This quiet hillside home with amazing views is ten minutes from I-5 and just outside of town. The spacious living room with writing desk, bedroom, bath, mini-kitchen (no stove), grill, patio, outdoor fire pit, and private coded entrance are on the lower floor of this rural mid-century modern house—our family home since 1960. (P.S. There is no cleaning fee.)
Watch the sunrise over Mt. St. Helens, meditate from the barn door in the misty morning meadow with the deer, read a book in the garden, enjoy your complimentary coffee and continental breakfast on the patio, and hike into the Seminary Hill Natural Area directly adjacent to the property. At night, watch the moon slip down the valley from your bed as the coyotes howl. Ideal for one or two people.
Three of Earth Farm is located in the "country" just a mile up the hill from town.
  • I would highly recommended Gretchen's place. It's very relaxing with patio chairs to sit and enjoy the view of the valley below.

    Ruth2020-03-02T00:00:00Z
  • Gretchen's space was located perfectly adjacent to a large forested park. It had all the right amenities and I loved the colorful creativity throughout the huge apartment. It felt like home, but with a beautiful view, and definitely a great deal.

I would definitely stay here again next time I’m in Centralia :)

They even had real cream in the fridge for coffee. We will try to stay here again on our next visit to Olympia.

  • Amazing place to stay can never go wrong.

    Ruben2020-02-19T00:00:00Z
  • Literally a perfect place to stay for an in state getaway!! The bed was insanely comfortable and the amenities were more than accommodating. The only downside to the location is finding Uber or Lyft to get to the casino and back LOL other than that which I wouldn’t count against the house, was absolutely stunning, clean and the homeowners were great. We got to check in earlier as well! My favorite small touch is the guest book ♥️ thank you for an amazingh birthday weekend stay!!

I have some wonderful rooms available in our historic hotel. These rooms have a vintage look and feel to them. They are nice and clean with premium features. The rooms include a sink but share nice common bathrooms and a lockable shower. 208 has a full size bed. Enjoy our outside terrace overlooking one of the nicest parks in Lewis county. Sorry no TV's or swimming pool. But we do have wifi. Enjoy the hotel’s excellent restaurants and walk downtown Centralia.
  • Such a cute 1920s boutique hotel. Definitely wil come back. They were so accommodating.

    Rei Rei2020-03-15T00:00:00Z
  • I have stayed at the Centralia hotel a few times and always appreciate their hospitality, character of the old hotel, and good value. The beds are comfortable and the rooms, Euro-style baths and showers are always nice and clean. I was pleased to see that they've also installed an elevator recently, which will make the old hotel much more accessible to guests with mobility issues. Be sure to learn about the mural on the second floor, in the front (a fascinating and sad chapter in local history). Berry Fields restaurant has tasty breakfasts and really good pie.

  • This is the best place to stay when visiting family and a great hidden gem for exploring the area. We’ve stayed twice and will stay again. Love that the downtown is becoming a great place for food, drinks, and wellness. It’s quaint and charming.

    Shannon2019-12-14T00:00:00Z
  • Stayed in the smaller room with the shared shower/bathroom. Bigger than I expected! Shower was a single stall so that was a nice surprise.

  • Great spot for an outdoor adventure. WiFi is not the best but you don't need that with the scenery outside your window. Sue and Ron will answer any questions you might have and are very attentive to your stay. The bed craddled you to sleep.

Waterfront cottage on Black Lake in Olympia, WA. Access to a private dock, kayaks and a fire pit area to relax at night around. Shared kitchen and bathroom, Queen size bed 500 sq ft loft (no door) with cable TV. Paradise is waiting for you.
Kitchen, bathroom, private dock for relaxing or fishing, kayaks and fire pit area.
Capital Mall, movie theater and several restaurants within 10 minutes.
  • Andrea’s place is the best for a quick weekend getaway, complete with a beautiful view and calming atmosphere! I was a little nervous to stay here at first because there’s no WiFi in the cottage and the loft room, which is the actual Airbnb space, within the cottage doesn’t have a door on it and the bathroom is shared with Andrea’s mom who lives in the room underneath the loft. BUT I had absolutely nothing to worry about! Andrea and her mom were super welcoming and kind. I really enjoyed talking with Andrea’s mom every morning and I also felt I had enough privacy. One morning I woke up to the sunrise over the lake, which was gorgeous! I definitely recommend staying here and I plan to come back in the summer when it’s warmer out and I can swim in the lake!

    Rayna2020-02-18T00:00:00Z
  • The room I stayed in was lovely. I could open the curtains and see the lake and at night the light reflection on the water from the homes across the lake was lovely. The room was cozy and nicely decorated. The kitchen was convenient and I had my space in the refrigerator. My stay was during the winter so I enjoyed seeing the snow and the ducks on the lake. Andrea and Cheryle were so welcoming and I really appreciated their hospitality. And I must say that Fifi (a beautiful poodle) became friendly with me after only a day. That was very special.

    Cherry2020-01-18T00:00:00Z
  • Very beautiful location and stunning views of the Black lake. Great hospitality and would stay here again if I am near Olympia!

    Alex2019-12-16T00:00:00Z
  • We had a wonderful time! Cheryl and Andrea were amazing. The house is beautifully decorated, clean, and smells like warm scented candles. Cheryl was such a warm and welcoming host, and her small dog Fifi was really sweet. She did a great job of balancing getting to know us with giving us space if we wanted. Staying with them was like staying with a family friend. Would highly recommend!

    Robin2019-11-17T00:00:00Z
  • Very good accommodations. Place was in a wonderful area and the home was beautiful. Would definitely consider staying there again. Highly recommended.

    Eddie2019-10-30T00:00:00Z
  • Quiet relaxing time and wonderful view. Kind and sharing hostess.

    Maggie2019-10-27T00:00:00Z
  • Beyond grateful with Andrea and her mom for having this place up on Airbnb. Waking up to the view every morning was priceless. Not to mention Cheryl’s hospitality, showed me around the place and I enjoyed talking about her travel experience (I hope to have as many places under my belt as she has haha) For my travel purpose, this was the perfect location. I got to drive down to Mt. Reiner, then head out to Mt. Ellinor in Olympia National Park and finally made it to downtown Olympia which is like a 10-12min drive. Everything was spotless, parking was excellent, bed was comfortable. Geez what else can I say, it was everything I was looking for. Can’t wait to come back in the summer! Thank you again Andrea and Cheryl.

    Karen2019-10-22T00:00:00Z
  • This Airbnb is awesome in every way possible. Andrea and Cheryl are very warm, friendly and inviting. They are easy and quick to communicate with. The property is beautiful and well-maintained. This little cabin was built for my daughter Who is now 27 And being busy busy busy, so we have staged it for guest because when she comes home she sleeps on the couch lol My property is 5 1/2 of Pristine Northwest forest. My property is basically one big hill with my house sit at the top, the small cabin you will stay at is on the lower landing next to an amazing tiny house, the goats sleep half up the hill in the Goat castle, currently under a major remodel. please walk up the hill and see
I am working on the city slicker dream of home steading and growing mine own food, this has been a work in progress for the last 12 years, with some bumps in the road I continue to work on my project keeping my dream intact. Although it is close to Highway 99, I hope you enjoy my little slice of the forest. I live on a hill, so it is is very diverse property, The cabin is on the lower lot next to another tiny house, it is very private because the tiny house people keep to them selves, unless you knock on there door for tour, yes it is that cool you will want to see inside! There is a fire pit by the cabin, and sometimes you will find a nice stack of wood to enjoy a fire,if not feel free to gather some.
I know the owners of two great restaurant 2 min from my place , one is Don Jaun’s Mexican kitchen and the other is T90 pizza $$ If you are into beer I recommend Matchless brewery about 11 minutes from my place. Also close by is the Cidermill, about five minutes away. Wolf Haven is also close.
  • We loved staying here. It was super cozy and the goats on the farm were super cute. The place had great amenities like snacks in case you forget and firewood to make smores

  • Tom was very friendly, came by to say hi shortly after I arrived. While small (as expected) I found the space very comfortable and well appointed. Tom even generously left some food and drink for guests to enjoy. The bathroom is separate, but warm, clean and with plenty of hot water. Great spot.

    Greg2019-06-07T00:00:00Z

The setting sun splashes across the dining table flooding the home with sunshine. Newly remodeled with gorgeous bamboo floors and modern lighting brighten up this old country mobile home. Covered porch is nice for sitting and watching the wildlife coming to eat the apples. Comfortable stylish furniture throughout. Each bedroom has a comfy bed soft, but firm. The larger room has a queen bed and built in desk. The smaller room has a full size bed (6 inches less than a queen).
IN AN ABUNDANCE OF CAUTION, WE ARE TAKING NECESSARY ADDITIONAL MEASURES TO BLEACH CLEAN NOBS, HANDLES, AND COMMONLY TOUCHED AREAS. We have several homes available on Airbnb. They are several hundred feet apart with plenty of space all the way around. Yet you can rent more than one house if they are available and you need more space. The home is surrounded by apple trees and the deer are quite at home here. It's very likely to encounter at least one deer here every day. The apples are free for picking, they are wild organic, and they aren't pretty but they bake delicious. Help yourself. A simple easy is to chop some up in a bowl with raisins or nuts, some spices like cinnamon, syrup or honey to sweeten or not and bake till soft. Yum. Serve steaming with ice cream!! YumYum!!
You are right across the street from McIntosh Lake and the Western Chehalis Bike Trail. Swimming, fishing, biking are all right there. Your neighbors are us and our permanent tenants who are all friendly and helpful.

Little Blue is a newly updated 400 sq ft guest house. Located in the heart of Tumwater. It is short drive to all our favorite eateries, coffee shops, breweries, and downtown Olympia. The space is modern and clean, decorated with subtle nods to all the things we love about the PNW.
  • Christian was a great host! Little Blue was a very clean and convenient stop on our road trip. He was very prompt with his communication and made us feel right at home!

    Roman2020-02-19T00:00:00Z
  • I really enjoyed my stay at Christian's place. The small backyard apartment is exactly as advertised! Very clean, it has a great vibe and the bed is very comfortable. I appreciated the coffee and sparkling water left for me and Christian's responses were quick, even offering a few local recommendations. I spent the night here to do some hiking in the eastern part of the Olympics and it's an easy hour's drive to the park (more or less depending on where you're going). I'd stay here again!

    Hannah2020-02-15T00:00:00Z
  • This place is absolutely adorable. It was immaculately clean, incredibly stylish, and the hosts were beyond thoughtful. We stayed there in during a winter month, and with the space being separated from their main house, it was so nice that they had the heat on for us upon arrival. Christian reached out before my stay to ask about beverages that I like, and gave many tips and suggestions when I asked about the area. Check-in was easy, and communication was very quick. I would most definitely stay here again.

Whether you're coming for an evening or a week, find yourself at home in this newly renovated 1940's home. Put your feet up in front of our fireplace, drink a cup of coffee, and relax. Within walking distance of Centralia College, less than a mile from I5 and about 10 blocks to historic downtown Centralia. Although it's a busy street, road noise is minimal but does exist. The home does have newer windows and doors that help. We offer a Chromecast and WiFi, so you can stream from your own Netflix, Disney Plus or Amazon Prime or YouTube and countless other steaming services. We don't offer cable TV. Although we allow up to 6 guests, this home is smaller. The additional single beds are for use by guests who pay for additional guests. These single beds are cots.
  • This little house was a great space for 4 adults and 2 kids to spend time together. The chromecast was easy to use and the fireplace kept us nice and cozy all weekend! We hiked a few trails at Seminary Hill Natural Area and went to a couple different playgrounds nearby.

  • Super cute space! Amazing touches all over the house. It’s a close place to a lot of fun places.

  • Colin and Lhea are great hosts, responsive and clear. Everything met my expectations. Comfortable little cottage conveniently located not far off the highway, and close enough to the historic down to take a nice little stroll over there and check it out.

  • Nice little house, close to town, the creek was lovely. The beds were very comfy and the water was nice & hot! There was lotion next to the bed. You can hear the train but it isn’t that loud, it didn’t affect my sleep at all. Quiet town. Overall a great place to stay! Would love to come back again.

  • Colin and Lhea's cabin feels just like home. The beds were comfortable and the kitchen had everything we could have needed. The location is perfect as it is just a short distance to downtown, stores, food and quick I5 access. We can't wait to come back.

This freshly remodeled studio apartment is located right in the heart of downtown Centralia. Within walking distance to several shops, restaurants, and movie theater. In town for a wedding? Located one block from both the The Aerie Ballroom and Centralia Square. Yoga anyone? The room sits above Embody studio, offering a variety of different levels of Yoga classes each day! In addition to Yoga they offer Nia, Barre, Pilates, massage and more!
Updated from its 1907 construction with just a touch of old, this room has the original hardwood fir floors, brick accent wall, and a clawfoot tub. Three large windows let in lots of natural light and sunshine. The kitchen has been brought up to date with new cabinets topped with a fir slab countertop and gas stove. This room is perfect for one or two people looking for some space and comfort whether you are in town for business a wedding or just for fun.
Centralia has a unique downtown with many of its 1900-1940s buildings still intact. This once booming logging community is now known for its huge number of antique stores. Its location being exactly in between Seattle and Portland makes for a perfect stop for travel and business. The Amtrak station (one of a handful still in use along this route) is a short walk away.
  • Very cute loft in downtown Centralia. Great access to shops, coffee and restaurants and was a very quick drive to Chehalis where we attended a wedding. The loft was fully stocked and has a great little kitchen if you want to eat in. Bed was super comfortable and there was a little white noise machine which we enjoyed. The tavern across the street was a little noisy and it was just enough to cover the sound. Not something I would have previously thought about but the claw foot tub and shower were not ideal for my husband who had a stroke 18 months ago and is still a little wobbly sometimes. There are no hand rails in the shower (probably not possible this type of situation) and quite a step up and down for him with nothing to grab on to for stability. Tub aside, we enjoyed our stay very much!

    Jean2020-03-01T00:00:00Z
  • Very nice place, great location.

    David2020-01-31T00:00:00Z
  • Very clear checkin nothing complicated, I felt super safe. Bed was comfy, space was clean and organized. The Clawfoot tub is amazing for bubblebath. Very quick responses too!

  • This place is absolutely amazing. Centrally located downtown 1 block away from Mcmenimins across the street from a coffee and wine bar.

    Javier2020-01-25T00:00:00Z
  • We stayed at David’s home for one night and loved it. His beautiful space is located in the heart of downtown with cute little coffee shops and restaurants close by. He was super responsive, given our impromptu decision to spend a night out of Seattle. His place is super clean and cozy. The location was on point, as explained in his instructions. I definitely recommend this hidden gem!

    Marjan2020-01-19T00:00:00Z
  • I absolutely loved this accommodation. The building is historic and charming. The apartment is lovely, very clean and comfortable. The location was perfect for what I wanted to see and do. David's listing description is accurate and honest about the possibility of noise but I had no difficulty sleeping. I appreciate that David was quick to respond to my questions and was also proactive with a back-up plan in case I had any problems with check-in (which I did not). I certainly hope that I have the opportunity to stay here again in the future.

    Deborah2020-01-12T00:00:00Z
  • Communication at first was a tad skeptical and came off rude, but other than the first initial interaction the stay was perfectly pleasant and welcoming. The stairs were so loud entering the apartment building it was funny because we were requested to be SUPER quiet, but it was impossible while entering 😅 so glad it worked out! I would stay here again for sure - especially knowing what I know now. The special touches like the mirrors and bedside stand was very nice.

  • Peggys place was beautiful. This was my first AirB&B experience and I would recommend anyone coming to Olympia stay here. The place was easy to access. It was cute and stylish, with small thought touches such as breakfast bars and coffee. The bed was comfortable, even the rugs were super soft. The place was sparkly clean. It had a great view of the backyard which was spacious. Peggy was always responsive if I had any questions or needed anything but also respected my privacy. I would recommend staying here for sure!

The quaint space offers a queen size bed and a futon sofa, comfortably sleeping 2-4 people, with a kitchenette for your convenience. You'll love it!
The entirety of the guest suite.
The neighborhood is very safe, and the house itself is located on a very private lot seperate from the main road.
  • Terrific location and wonderful hosts! My husband and I really enjoyed our stay here!

    Sherry2020-03-05T00:00:00Z
  • An amazing view! Quiet neighborhood, cute accommodations. The bungalow is quite small, as advertised, but was more than adequate for myself and my adult son. The shower, while tiny, has amazing water pressure and the towels were very nice. The bed was very comfortable but the couch sleeper sofa was less so. All in all it was a very fun place to stay. I would recommend it for its view and price point. Definitely an excellent value.

  • The coziest stay I've ever had away from home! We felt so welcome and taken care of, and the view can't be beat. The reviews about the highway made us a bit nervous but you can't even hear it inside and the location is so worth it. This is definitely somewhere I'd book again, can't wait to go back!

Whether passing through, coming for work, or exploring the area, our Lacey home will be perfect for you! We are less than 2 miles from I-5, with easy access to the surrounding area of Olympia, JBLM, Tacoma, Mt. Rainier, and even Olympic Nat. Park. Enjoy a comfortable room with private, in-suite bathroom, a continental breakfast, and a TV set up for streaming with Netflix included! Restaurants/shopping including Costco, Safeway and Starbucks are located nearby. Other info. listed in guidebook.
Total privacy is what you can expect! You'll enjoy a cozy, warm room with a very comfy bed and a private bathroom within your room. In your down time, hope you take advantage of the TV equipped with an Apple TV for your streaming pleasure...with free access to Netflix. Also, enjoy some goodies with your coffee/tea during your stay or take it to go:) The room has a door lock for extra security and piece of mind. Feel free to use it or not depending on your preference. Upon departure, please leave the key in the lock and the door to the bedroom open. If traveling with someone but sharing a bed is not the preferred option, there is a nice, thick floor mattress pad with additional bedding readily available, in the closet. You may notice that check-in time is 5 PM. Since both my husband and I work full time, we need a bit of time to get the room ready in-between guests. The 5 PM check-in will allow for our accommodations to be available more frequently rather than having it blocked out for prep time. In our experience, guests check in after 7 PM so this should not be a problem. You are welcome to send a message and check if the room is available before 5:00 PM.
We live in a fairly new neighborhood that's quiet and safe. Garbage day is on Monday so you may hear the garbage truck pass through. Also, landscaping is taken care of on Wednesdays by the homeowner's association.
  • This room was perfect! Totally exceeding our expectations. The location is secure, with no worries. The price was cheap for what they provide in a room and amenities. I think Sylvia and Gary should charge more for this place. *****

    Mark2020-03-17T00:00:00Z
  • We were very impressed! Sylvia and Gary's place was even better than we expected and a wonderful value.

  • This room was AMAZING. There were many amenities! The hosts were really nice and responded fast, decorations were beautiful, the bed was very soft and comfortable as well as the pillows, and there were many options shows/movies on the tv . Very private, relaxing and quiet and the hosts left a very sweet card on the bed with a chocolate upon arrival! I enjoyed my stay here very much and would highly recommend staying here!!! This is definitely worthy of 5 stars :)

  • Sylvia and Gary extended hospitality that was well-beyond expectation. Their home was in a nice quiet location and the suite was clean, organized, well-appointed. It was obvious they did everything they could think of to make their guests feel welcome; from the "welcome" card on the bed to the plentiful snacks and breakfast food. The suite was cosy and comfortable. I could not think of anything lacking. I feel we got much more than we paid for. Generous hosts.

Our home is 6 minutes or less from the best Centralia has to offer including historic downtown Centralia, NW Sports Hub, Outlets, easy I5 access, Centralia College, Mcmenamins, pubs, museums, Antique shops restaurants, coffee, hiking, Amtrak station and more. Easy street parking directly in front of the house. This also means you will hear street noise. Newer windows and doors help lessen the sound.
We purchased this Little house just a few months ago. It has housed Centralians since 1900 boasting 450 sq ft of living space. It has newer windows and Cadet heaters with thermostats keeping the place cozy. Please make yourself at home. The living room has a new sleeper sofa that sleeps 2 comfortably. Monitor, Roku, wifi, art and vintage touches throughout. The kitchen is small but full of vintage charm. It has a microwave, apartment sized refrigerator, coffee maker with coffee from our local coffee roaster, Santa Lucia. Dishes and utensils for four, hot air popcorn popper, more art and vintage. Bedroom has a comfortable queen size bed, fresh linens and plenty of hooks and hangers to help make yourself at home. Currently there is a curtain in the bedroom doorway while we’re deciding how to best fit a new door. Of course more art and vintage The bathroom is little and a little quirky. There will always be clean towels, shampoo, conditioner, body wash, hair dryer and of course more art and vintage touches. Please, no smoking, parties, or events. Check-in is anytime after 2PM and check out is by 11AM Self check-in with keypad We ask guests to please clean any dishes or kitchen utensils they use so they are ready for the cleaning crew to put away. Please place dirty towels in the bathtub before leaving.
This is an older Centralia neighborhood. Easy walking to Centralia College, downtown antique shopping and dining.

  • This is a very nice place to stay in the middle of Centralia. It is close to the college and easy walking to "old" downtown, Tower street. The cabin was good for my family of four, and would be great for a couple spending time in Centralia. I liked the Art on the walls and the farm house charm. Holly and Jay were very easy to work with and I would highly recommend their place.

    Joe2020-01-05T00:00:00Z

    Megan2020-01-01T00:00:00Z
  • Holly and Jay were quick to respond to questions, the house was clean and comfortable. Great place to stay for a night or two when visiting the area, not having a cook surface makes it more difficult for a longer stay. Would definitely rent here again.

Your private entrance (double doors) leads from your patio to a spacious bedroom and bath in this northwest neighborhood of Olympia. You are invited to make yourself at home and enjoy the patio and the indoor space as if it were your own.
Your private bed/bath is a great place to relax. There is a queen bed with comfortable mattress. If you need to get some work done, there is a desk, chair, and wifi. The space is best for one or two adults, but kids are welcome - send me an inquiry before booking and we will work out the details. The bedroom and bath have many of the amenities that you would find in a hotel: coffee maker, microwave, compact fridge, television, iron/ironing board, hair dryer, towels, linens, and toiletries. Please note: the shower is rather small and is not wheelchair accessible. I hope to upgrade the shower in the near future. You will also have an electric kettle, disposable plates/cups/silverware, fan, and space heater. We ask that you keep the space tidy and let us know if you need additional supplies. The rooms are cleaned thoroughly between guests.
This home is within walking distance, short drive, or bus ride (depending on your level of mobility and preference) of many destinations: downtown Olympia (1.5 miles), Washington State Capitol (2 miles), the Evergreen State College (4 miles), Percival Landing (1.4 miles), and Capital Mall (0.7 miles), and the Olympia Farmers Market (1.7 miles). Looking for a bite to eat or some coffee? Vic's Pizza (0.1 mile), Koibito Sushi (0.3 mile), Olympia Coffee Roasting (0.3 mile), Phoebe's Pastry Cafe (0.2 mile), BITS Cafe (0.7 mile), the Iron Rabbit (0.3 mile), and Hash (0.2 mile) are among the local restaurants/coffee shops that are a short walk from your room.

  • This space was perfect for my girlfriend and I to stay in over a weekend while I attended my orientation at Evergreen. We were actively surprised at how many amenities and small touches that Sue had provided in the room!

    Tyler2019-12-08T00:00:00Z
  • I loved my stay at Sue’s place! She added very thoughtful touches to the bedroom with travelers in mind. Snacks, drinks, mini fridge, microwave, disposable utensils, wine opener, ironing board, hangers, and even an umbrella! The place was also very clean. I did not meet Sue in person, but she left a nice welcoming note on the table. I’d love to stay at her place again!

    Jackie2019-11-20T00:00:00Z
  • It was great coming back to Sue’s place again. By now, it’s really come to feel like a home away from home. On this visit, I had a little more time to explore the local area on foot, and was able to find a nice selection of both inexpensive casual restaurants and fancier fare for special occasions. At both restaurants I went to, the staff was friendly and the food was very good, so it’s nice to know that you have reliable food options within walking distance for when you’re tired and don’t want to drive anywhere. Sue also has takeout menus at her place for some of the nearby restaurants, as well as other helpful basic info. on the local area in a handy binder that’s kept on a desk you can use to eat at or work on. As with my previous stays, everything was spotless but the place also still feels homey. Indeed, everything was as good on this stay as on my first stay several weeks ago, and though I’ll be moving on for now I hope to come back sometime next year. Sue’s also very good about giving you space to do whatever you need to do, but she’s also very responsive if you need anything. Very much a five-star experience all-around—thank you for being such a great host, Sue!

    Albert2019-11-15T00:00:00Z
  • Sue's place is comfortable and cozy with lots of extra touches like ground coffee & yogurt to get you started in the morning. Her place is easy to find & very conveniently located. We are happy to find such a great place to stay when we come to Olympia.

This small cozy log cabin is nestled in southwest Washington green wilderness. Find yourself peacefully snuggling in the swing on the front porch, listening to the birds chirping, hawk calling and frogs croaking. We are close to the airport, Amtrak station, art and culture, parks, and city center. You’ll love our retreat...the outdoor space, the comfy bed, and the amenities. Couples, solo adventurers, business travelers, and families alike will enjoy the comforts of home away from home!
The Cabin in theWild Wood is conveniently located between Portland and Seattle, just 3 miles off the interstate. We are a very small, family owned business who have owned the property for nearly 25 years! It wasn't until recently that we have decided to share our piece of heaven with you! We love the outdoors and have wonderful memories of camping in this cabin with our kids and grandkids and hope that you will too.
Bring some apples for the cows, deer or elk. We are on a private dead end road. But, neighbors are close.
  • Quaint. Serene. Wooded. Very large bed. Fire pit. Everything needed for a weekend getaway. You'll love it.

  • I had a fabulous experience at the cabin. I needed "long" short term accommodations and Jack and Kay made it possible for me. They were great to work with, very friendly, quick to respond to my questions and needs and made me feel very welcome. The cabin was a perfect fit for my needs and I'll just say you won't regret spending a day, a weekend, or a week at the cabin.

  • Better than a five-star resort! Besides being a perfect cabin in the woods to escape for a few days, our hosts left us plenty of coffee, fresh cream, baked treats, fresh linens, toiletries (including a brand new loofa), and everything we could have possibly needed to entertain ourselves for a few days. We slept like bears in the lofted bedroom and the fire pit in the woods was the perfect venue for our final night to have a few family guests over, complete with chairs and makings for s’mores! 10/10 would visit again. Thanks Jack!

  • This is definitely the place to come if your looking for a quiet little get away!!! The cabin is beautiful & cozy! It’s fully equipped with everything you need & probably a few things you didn’t think of. Has a little pasture outside that we enjoyed while sitting on the front porch watching the cow. Wonderful place!!! :)

  • What a lovely warm and generous host and home! This was a cozy retreat that was much better even than the stylish photos. I can’t wait for my next opportunity to be her guest.

Welcome to our home—a 116-year-old Farm house on 0.6 acres. Feel free to roam the property and enjoy seasonal flowers, foliage, and fruit. You will have two private bedrooms on the first floor, next to the guest bath and just a few steps from the kitchen, where you will have access to dedicated shelves in the fridge and pantry, washer/dryer, coffee and tea. You are quite welcome to hang out in the living and dining rooms, and when the weather's pleasant, there's some lovely spots outside.
This listing includes two bedrooms, one with a queen bed and narrow twin and one with one twin. They share a bath, and are on the first floor with easy access to kitchen, living area, and front porch. When guests are staying, we spend almost all of our time in our upstairs suite or outside (and often stay at our other house), so you will be able to spread out, cook, and relax like it’s your home. The house is more than 100 years old and has had many unique custom updates. I hope you will enjoy its charms as much as we do—relax out back by the fountain or on the front porch swing. Lots of birds and the occasional deer or raccoon! There is fresh well water from every tap, and dedicated shelves in the pantry for you. If you just want one bedroom, click on my profile to see my other listings.

  • Amy's house is a cute little surprise in the middle of the city but nestled back off the main road. The house is cozy and comfortable. Amy had our rooms nice and toasty when we arrived after dark on a cool night. The extra bed in the first room was quite small but ok for our daughter Cute little town too. Had a great breakfast at Hash (in Olympia).

  • Since I'd booked awhile back, so, when I walked into Amy's place, I was shocked at how beautiful/awesome/ big/ magical it was. My kids and I enjoyed breakfast each morning watching the birds and squirrels out the picture window, and spent our sunsets on the swing in the backyard, chittering to each other and to the stellers jays. It was a special space that felt like rest and vacation and magic should feel. Thank you!!

  • This is a darling restored farmhouse. My husband and I stayed in one of the bedrooms, while my sons shared the other (with a twin/trundle bed). The beds were a bit short for them, but they are tall (6’3” and 6’). They were fine, though, and it was wonderful to have a whole home, including a kitchen to cook a meal.

    Cathy2019-09-08T00:00:00Z
  • Amy's place was clean, roomy and quaint with delightful touches.! We were pleasantly surprised with the place being so spacious and the grounds so well-kept! The location was great. You will not be disappointed when you stay here!

  • Staying with Amy will be an experience not to be missed. She is secluded country, with birds and squirrels and deer, within Easy reach of town and the freeway. Olympia, Tacoma and Seattle can all be accomplished. And the hospitality she offers is 5 star. I would vacation here again just to stay with her.

  • Beautiful home for an amazing price, stores are easily accessible & a lot to do around the area!

    Elizabeth2019-05-05T00:00:00Z
  • Amy is super fast to reply and was gracious enough to let me visit the space after I had rented it for an event. The condition was amazing and the price was fantastic for all the amenities provided! What a charming home and wonderful owner.
