Places to stay in Grant
Situated at the gateway to the Kenosha and Guanella Passes in the gorgeous Colorado Rocky Mountains our humble yet cozy abode straddles a beautiful river just one hour from Denver. Our property offers guests views of blend Aspen and Pine trees and towering mountains which host a variety of wildlife including big horn sheep, elk, moose, bears and many other little critters. We offer guests a chance to relax riverside while sitting next to a campfire.
Our rooms offer Roku tv and Netflix for those who wish to just kick back and relax away from the hustle and bustle.
On our property is a historical building that housed the US Post Office in the 1800's that became a gas station in the 20's and is now a very convenient liquor store that though smaller than some shoe closets has a nice variety of craft beers, liquor and wines and a few snacks. Within 10 minutes are a myriad of hiking trails including the breathtaking Colorado Trail.
  • Really liked there were several firepits and right along the river. A very nice getaway and very dog friendly.

  • Fantastic communication and just what we needed during an impromptu day-of booking. We appreciate that it was dog friendly! It's a cute little motel about 50 minutes from the city, nestled in the mountains next to a stream. The room was spacious with a king bed. The owners are currently undergoing renovations, do we would love to stop by again to see their progress!

  • No road that goes straight to keystone, though it may be near keystone, it takes 2 hours to get there, I’m not sure why it showed up when I said keystone stays

  • Brad's place was very clean and cozy. It's walking distance to a supermarket and strip mall with restaurants/other stores. The neighborhood was generally quiet and peaceful. Parking is plentiful in and around the area. Brad was very helpful and was available to answer any question I had. The kitchen had all the necessities to make your own meals. Would definitely stay here again.

  • Brad was a wonderful host with a beautiful condo. The location is perfect and close to Denver and Red Rocks. The place was clean and modern with a nice, home feel. Brad is knowledgeable, friendly, and an awesome guy. He was able to give us tips and directions to locations that were ideal for our trip. He was available when necessary, but respectful of our space. I will definitely book with Brad again in the future.

  • Such a wonderful place to stay. We come to Bailey every year and do a trip and I definitely would pick this spot again and again!

  • Whether it’s your first time in an Airbnb or your millionth, Mark and Bianca will provide you with hospitality and views far beyond your imagination! We celebrated a bachelorette trip but we all could imagine a couples retreat in this space as well. It’s truly the little things that count, and M and B take into account everything!

    Samantha2020-03-01T00:00:00Z
  • Mark and Bianca are great hosts. Communication was a breeze and their place is spotless. We really enjoyed our stay!

  • This has been our favorite Air bnb! The place is so cute and cozy and not to mention it is a gorgeous mountain oasis. If you are looking for the perfect Colorado stay, look not further. The hot tub was a great way to end a long day and there is a beautiful Mountain View just a short walk away. I would stay here again and again. Mark and Bianca were we’re absolutely amazing hosts. Everything was so clean and they really helped make this stay amazing. From shuttling us up the driveway in the snow to cleaning off our car and helping us with a little dinner, this place truly has it all. We will definitely be back in the summer!!

    Konrad2020-02-11T00:00:00Z
  • Mark and Bianca were wonderful hosts with a gorgeous property nestled up in the mountains just west of Denver. We thoroughly enjoyed our winter getaway at their place for the weekend. The property is gorgeous, and the home very comfortable. They did a great job plowing the driveway for us so that it was easy for us to get up the driveway in the snow. They are extremely considerate hosts and had some great recommendations of places to eat in the surrounding area.

“The Refuge" is so named because it’s a peaceful escape from the hustle and bustle of life. Nestled into rock-outcroppings, my home has two decks, one tucked cozily by rocks and one with an expansive view of the mountains to the west. This guest room has the best view in the house. If you are wanting a mountain getaway for an extended stay or on business, this place will soothe your soul. I live here too, with two cats, two small dogs and a downstairs tenant. Week or longer due to corona virus.
Great for individuals or couples mostly. There are stairs to get up to the bedroom and main floor. If you are allergic to cats or dogs I do not recommend staying at my home. I keep it clean and vacuumed, but the pets have the run of the house. This home is a smoke free, drug free home.
The neighbors are friendly and the neighborhood is fairly quiet and it feels remote even though it's not. You will likely see birds, squirrels and deer while here or maybe even a fox.
  • Justin has a beautiful home in the mountains. It is incredibly relaxing and we had a great time enjoying the hot tub and hiking in the area. His directions on how to get to the place are very helpful - we arrived at night during a snowstorm but had no problem finding the place thanks to his instructions. His pets are very friendly as well!

    Kate2020-03-29T00:00:00Z
  • This is a perfect little get away tucked in the mountains with an excellent view. Justin is a great host and his place is clean and has everything you need for a comfortable relaxing stay. His fur babies were wonderful little companions. Highly recommend!

    Kari2020-03-11T00:00:00Z
  • Nicest place I have stayed so far...

    Cliff2020-02-24T00:00:00Z
  • Justin’s place is beautiful surrounded by nature super comfortable and well located I highly recommended and would stay again and Justin is a great host very welcoming.

  • Great place, nice host and amazing pets.

    Aikaterini2019-11-24T00:00:00Z
  • Justin's refuge was one of our favorite Airbnb stays we've had. Justin is very hospitable and his cats and dogs are fun and adorable! We stayed for 4 weeks, and it was exactly the experience we were hoping for coming in... peaceful, serene, and simply difficult to part with afterwards. It's rare when we return to the same Airbnb twice, but this is one of those rarities that would bring us back.

    Marcus2019-11-14T00:00:00Z
  • The Refuge is truly a home away from home. I've stayed here before and will stay her again. Justin is incredibly kind and a wonderful host. The setting is beautiful and peaceful. I can't say enough good things about this home.

    Gus2019-10-14T00:00:00Z
  • Stay with Justin!!!! Colorado is a beautiful place and Justin’s place was awesome. Justin is a great host that makes life easy. His animals were friendly. We saw deer twice on his front porch while we were there. Beautiful sunset on his back porch every night. First time using an Airbnb and I was nervous but Justin made it an enjoyable experience. If you’re going to Colorado, stay with Justin! He’s very welcoming!

This space is the lower level of our home and is a private rental unit which is newly remodeled for the purpose of Airbnb. We are located in Pike's National Forest. A beautiful bedroom, full bathroom living and limited kitchen. It has a small dining table and bar top. High speed WIFI is provided. There is a patio with chairs to enjoy the wildlife and views as well as a private entrance. You can get this unit as a 1 or 2 bedroom. The one bedroom sleeps 2; 2 bedroom sleeps 6.
We are roughly 90 mins from Breckenridge and 70 minutes from Denver and 40 mins to Red Rocks. We have local restaurants and bars as well as local activities aside from what nature brings. There is a local zip line adventure park and ATV rental locally. Fishing is a mile drive at most. There is an archery range in walking distance.
We live in an area where wildlife and pets are the boss. We do not advise night time walks as we do have mountain lions, bears and all other walks of life in our neighborhood. We do have pets on the property. We also have 2 resident dogs that lives upstairs. Dogs are not allowed on bedding or furniture as it is difficult to remove the hair. Toys and treats are provided for your pet! Security deposit will be refunded within 48 hours of your departure.

Take a break from the world and enjoy 3.5 wooded acres at 9,000 feet in the Rocky Mountains. This home is designed and inspired by hygge (hu-geh), a Danish word and lifestyle that evokes the feeling of coziness, well-being, and simple pleasures. An outdoor steam sauna, 2 decks, and amazing views await you. Get cozy, explore, play games, hammock, read, take day trips, and make unforgettable memories with your loved ones. Refocus, rejuvenate, and relax in this intentionally curated space...
COVID-19 UPDATE: The chalet has been closed since late March. Plans and preparations to re-open for June are underway. Please be aware of changes that override anything else written on this listing. June and July now have a 4-night minimum for Coloradans and a week minimum for out-of-state. Only those driving are able to book. If you are flying, please do not book. 2 guests max. Only families, friends, partners, etc. who live in the SAME house can book together. For bookings that fall on the same day as another reservation, check in is 4pm and check-out is 10am. I will let you know what times your booking will fall under. This allows more time for extra sanitizing and cleaning. During these last few months, I have made a lot of updates to the cabin, which are not yet reflected in the photos. These changes are for the better, of course, so I can't wait to surprise you with them! With the gift of time, I also discovered miles of private trail from the property into the national forest, complete with huge aspen groves and a stream the entire way! Details will be given upon booking. Please message me for any other questions or concerns you have. Follow on Instagram and tag your stay @hyggechalet_co The Hygge Chalet is located in the rural Rocky Mountains of Colorado, It is only 1 hour from downtown Denver and 1 hour to multiple ski resorts. There is an abundance of outdoor activities nearby that make perfect for day trips in the mountains. Upon booking, a personalized website detailing all the things to do and see will be provided. The home is a 1970's A-Frame, inspired by Scandinavia. It has a modern and clean design with a cottage vibe. Living Essentials: The home is 1400 square feet with an open floor plan. There is a full kitchen with granite counters, high-quality cookware, and all dining essentials. Basics such as, cooking oil, salt and pepper, a few spices, condiments, etc. are provided. A fair-trade and organic hot drink bar with Chemex coffee, tea, and hot chocolate is also yours to indulge in. The home is stocked with good reads, lots of board games, an iPad for movies, music, and information, a Bluetooth speaker loud enough to fill the home, a gas fireplace for ambiance, and a drawer of candles, incense, and oils to help create your own hygge vibes. All high-quality linens, towels, robes, and slippers are freshly-washed. Bed & Bath: Both the loft and bedroom have super comfortable memory foam queen beds. The bathroom has a walk-in shower (no tub) and many toiletries and extras you might need. Sauna: The barrel steam sauna truly sets this place apart from all the rest. It's easy to use and allows you to sauna bathe in the traditional Finnish way by pouring water onto heated rocks to create steam. Most nights in the Rockies are clear enough to see the Milky Way and star-gazing is exceptional here, especially when taking a cool-down break from the sauna. Outdoor Living: The 3.5 acres of land is mostly wooded and backs up to National Forest. There are 2 decks and a porch area with stunning views, cafe lights, a picnic table, a gas grill for cooking out (seasonal), and plenty of hammocks (also seasonal) and Adirondack chairs to keep you content. Behind the home is a street art-inspired mural with an Aspen and Mandala scene created by a local Denver artist. Please Note: While the home is very private and at the top of the hill, it is in a neighborhood and has proximity with the main road. Depending on the weather and traffic (especially holiday weekends), the sounds from the road vary. If you're expecting absolute silence and seclusion, this might not be the place for you. In winter, this proximity to highway is appreciated by guests because of the snow. Like most mountain homes in the area, there are a few neighbors nearby. This lowers the environmental impact of development, but also means you'll see a few other homes on your way up. While the home sits at the top of a hill and is surrounded by trees, private does not mean secluded. The closest neighbors are Nicki and Damon. They are very friendly and hospitable. Nicki is the cleaner/assistant for the chalet and Damon does general maintenance along with snow plowing... so feel free to wave or say "Hi!" if you see them! They're great to have nearby if an urgent need should arise.
Upon booking, you will be provided with a website I've created that is filled with day-trip itineraries, lots of information on places to visit, things to do and see, places to hike/snowshoe, and places to eat and drink. It also includes an interactive map with categories and distances from the chalet to help you plan your trip! I am passionate about Colorado and dedicated to making your visit one for the books! The chalet is located just off of 285, which is a plowed, well-maintained highway to get you safely and easily exploring. The home is right next to Guanella Pass, which provides an incredible mountain drive of spectacular views, other-worldy landscapes at 12,000 feet, big horn sheep, winding streams, waterfalls, and lots of hiking. The pass takes you to the cutest mountain town, Georgetown and other neat places along the i-70 corridor. This is also one of the most sought-after locations for aspen leaf peeping in fall. The pass is closed in winter (late-Nov to late-May) but there is still plenty to do in winter and Georgetown/i-70 is accessible through Evergreen all year. Going over Kenosha Pass takes you to South Park (yes, the town from the TV show), Buena Vista, Salida, etc. which is an area loaded with things to do and see all year round, including 2 exceptional hot springs! The cabin is close to stunning hikes of various difficulties, world-class fishing, adventure activities (zip-line, whitewater, etc.), cultural and historical activities (ghost towns, mining for gold, dinosaur fossils, etc.), surreal leaf peeping in the fall, horseback riding, ATV, train rides, sleigh rides, snowshoeing/snowmobiling in winter, cute mountain towns to explore, and so many fantastic local breweries, distilleries, and restaurants. The are a couple cafes nearby where you can experience true mountain friendliness. The closest and the best (just down the hill) is the Shaggy Sheep. Make sure to stop in and say "Hi!" to Sarah and Chris. Red Rocks Amphitheater is just 40 minutes away. This is considered one of the best places in the world to see a concert and doing so should be on anyone's bucket list. Check the website for the schedule. Even if you can't make a show, the park is on the way to/from Denver and well-worth a visit. The closest ski resort is Breckenridge at just an hour's drive (and a beautiful one) and is a perfect day trip to ski/snowboard or just hang around in a beautiful ski town (there is a lot to do and see here no matter the time of year). Vail is 2 hours away and there are a handful of others just 1.5 hours away. There are plenty of mountain activities to fill your days with during ALL of Colorado's incredible 4 seasons! Each season provides a different experience, but no matter what time of year you comes, no matter which direction you go, and no matter what you decide to do, the drives will be beautiful and there will plenty to keep you occupied and content.
  • This was a magnificent getaway. An easy drive from Denver, and yet you feel totally secluded. The Sauna was the best amenity, so, so lovely! Plus, the small touches of the chemex coffee maker, the snacks, sparkling water, and extra toothbrushes and toothpaste made us feel so comfortable. I also loved the sustainability that is at the forefront of this place...natural bath products, seventh generation toilet paper, reusable mugs, recycling is a must, and organic and fair trade food items. Every detial is thought of in this place! We will return again soon!

  • Truly a beautiful space. Amazing sunrise and sunsets cast across the mountains. The big bright moon shining into your bedroom window (if you choose to leave the curtains open). The perfect getaway spot. Will return for sure!

  • This place was the definition of serenity. It’s cozy and elegant and me and my girlfriend couldn’t have had a better experience here. The views are amazing and the decor throughout the house is delightful. There is plenty of things to do around the area. If you want a private exclusion in the mountains with wonderful amenities this is the place for you.

    Blake2020-03-06T00:00:00Z
  • The hygge chalet exceeded our expectations! The home is warm and cozy with thoughtful touches as soon as you walk in the door. Very private and Serene. With it being so private make sure you load up on grocery’s before you get there the nearest store is 30-40 minutes away! Just be prepared and you will have a lovely time. I throughly enjoyed our stay and look forward to staying again when we are in the area! Thank you for sharing your lovely home with us!

    Crystal2020-03-04T00:00:00Z
  • The Hygge Chalet is outstanding! Everything we wanted and more in a weekend getaway in the mountains. The pictures, although accurate, don’t do it enough justice. The chalet is an ultra cozy, sparkling clean, tastefully decorated and well appointed home. I thought twice about leaving such a glowing review for fear it would be booked so often we’d never be able to get back there again. But....everyone should have a chance to experience such a jewel. Book it, you won’t be disappointed!

    Tanya2020-02-23T00:00:00Z
  • This place is WONDERFUL! Highly suggest staying here. I had no issues whatsoever. Great location, super clean, and very stylish. Plenty of room and Amenities. Loved my stay!

  • If you are looking for a unique and cozy get away in the mountains, this is your place! I’m this busy world there isn’t a lot of time away from electronics. But here we spent time playing games listening to music and laughing! The perfect location! Gorgeous drive to Breckenridge and other ski slopes or you can be in Denver in less than 2 hrs. The place was easy to get to with a 4 whee drive. Very spotless and had everything we needed and more. Highly recommend

    Nicole2020-02-19T00:00:00Z
  • I don't normally write reviews, but I felt compelled to leave this review here. Julie has created an incredibly special place in the mountains and I would 100% recommend it for anyone looking to get away at any time of year. The Hygge chalet is better than it is in pictures. Every single detail has been thoughtfully considered and selected--down to chemex and delicious coffee and snacks, to the Scandinavian furnishings, bedding, sauna, and bathroom extras. This is one of those moments where the pictures don't do justice to the place. We stayed here with friends visiting from out of town and the whole weekend, we were surprised and delighted discovering one detail after another. Julie's list of activities was also perfect. We are new to CO and don't know the area that well, but we had a magical weekend driving through the mountains and snowmobiling in Breckenridge, per Julie's suggestions (about 1 hour drive away). On a personal note, I lived in Denmark a few years ago and Julie has truly captured and essence and joy of "hygge" in that she created a beautiful space of rest, relaxation, with little notes of luxury that are appropriate for the mountains and a weekend away. We all felt in awe of nature, quiet, and the joy of good friendship after this short weekend. And finally on a side note, Julie was an amazing host. I had a number of questions, changes, and reservation issues with Airbnb and she addressed them immediately and was very concerned with us having a great weekend. (Airbnb also did eventually address the issues.) We will definitely be back!

  • Jill is Fantastic !!!!!!!!! Amazing views. I loved hiking with goats and feeding wildlife.

  • Great space, very kind, and a beautiful view

    Aryonna2020-03-13T00:00:00Z
  • We had an excellent time at this cabin! It’s so cozy and inviting. It was exactly as described with all the amenities you’d find at your own home. Jill was extremely flexible with our check-in which we greatly appreciated! She answered questions quickly and gave excellent driving directions on how to get to her place. (Make sure you have AWD!) The location was private and the views were outstanding!! We would absolutely stay here again when we go back to Colorado!

    Jessica2020-03-07T00:00:00Z
  • The photos you see absolutely do not do the place justice. It was absolutely perfect. There were deer, birds, squirrels, it was just a perfect winter wonderland. It is a perfect getaway from everyday life. We took our Nissan Rogue AWD (no snow tires) and we needed to get some snow chains (we got stuck) to make it out the mountain. Make sure you have AWD or 4WD (the mountain is no joke, you will get stuck during winter), or some snow chains, they aren’t too pricey. Just expect to see the most beautiful view everyday, and a family of super friendly deer every morning. Hopefully you get to meet Martha (super badass old lady next door). If you’re thinking about staying in the city instead, DONT it is beyond perfect here. Just book it!!! Jill is amazing you will love the trip here. Make sure to visit coffee bean and bakery, about 5 minutes away from the place (just have to make it out the mountain). I would drive back from Texas just for their bread. We loved biker Jim’s gourmet dogs in Denver and Marcos coal fired pizza. Also if you need something warm, pho haus (Denver) is perfect for that. Visit evergreen!! Oh and there is over 100 acres to hike in around the cabin!! You will have so much fun. Thank you Jill!

    Elizabeth2020-02-26T00:00:00Z
  • Definitely better than expected, my stay was absolutely amazing! • The studio was amazing. Jill made us feel like we were at a home away from home. She gave us amazing recommendations and was very easy going and accommodating. She was there for us whenever we needed but also let us have our privacy. The house was very clean and cozy, pictures do not do this amazing piece of property justice.

  • It is a cozy place, I loved it. all very clean, enough space, very comfortable. You want to have a peaceful vacation , this is a perfect place.

  • Allen's place is as described and with a few extra unexpected touches like a hot tub and a washer and dryer. The cabin is located right off of 285. If using Google Maps it might take you into Guanella Pass. Ignore it and continue on 285, about a couple of 100 feet after the turn for the pass on your right you'll see a road leading up the hill, that's the drive to the cabin. Had a good time at the cabin and would return if I'm in the area again.

  • Allen and the property are fantastic! Allen was timely and helpful in his responses, and nice to meet when we went down to Al's Jerky Shop. He kindly had wine and jerky waiting for us there. The place is as advertised: clean, big, good for 6 people, wonderfully quiet (especially in the evening, because it's right off a major road), and really close to some great hiking. Great value for it's price!

  • Randy’s cabin style cottage was a perfect secluded get away my girlfriend and I were looking for. The location is about 35-40 minutes from Breckenridge but is off the beaten path. The views of the snow cover mountains and hills were great. The cottage is quaint and comfortable. The antique iron fire place was the best element in the house. Find the location and checking in was a breeze. If you are looking for a quiet and affordable place to stay and take in the outdoors for skiing, hiking, or maybe even hunting, this is the spot.

    Jon2020-03-14T00:00:00Z
  • Loved our visit to Como, excellent hiking, snowshoeing, and snowmobiling. The cabin was great, clean, cozy, and well appointed. Easy check in and out. We'll be back!

  • We loved our stay in Como. It was the perfect place for our family. Our kids absolutely loved playing in the loft and being able to bring our dog is kind of a necessity for us. It is really a fun cabin with everything we needed. Como is kind of a cool historic ghost town with beautiful mountains all around. Can't get much better than that for our family. We were all sad we had to leave and wished we could have stayed longer.

Cute rustic studio on a hill, with patio to view amazing sunrises! Near Mt. Falcon, about 9 miles from Red Rocks, and easy drive to Denver.
    Quiet, rural neighborhood.
  • Great place to stay if you're not trying to be in the city and want to be close to Red Rocks. About 12 minutes to the south lot and 15 to 20 to the north lot. Perfect for 2 people with a great view on the porch to sit and have your morning coffee. Will definitely look to stay at this place again when we come for more shows at Red Rocks.

  • Katy's place was absolutely perfect, and everything that you could want or need. It's close to both the city, and the mountains so you get the best of both worlds. The place itself is incredibly cute, and very comfortable. Can not reccomend it enough!

    Beth2019-06-04T00:00:00Z
  • The french doors let a lot of sunlight in during the morning. The birds are amazingly entertaining, I suggest you take time for coffee on the deck. We explored Evergreen near buy, great shops and quaint places to eat, music too. You can rent bikes there as well. Hiking everywhere. If you rent a car I'd suggest an suv or 4wd, makes for so much more fun exploring mountain roads. Just make sure you can always see a place to turn around before you go further. Bring sun screen and a water bottle.

You’ll love our cabin because of it's proximity to outdoor activities and the amenities in Denver. The Cabin is great for couples, solo adventurers, business travelers, families, and furry friends (pets). This two bedroom , one bath cabin has; a bedroom with a queen bed and a bedroom with a fullsize bed and two bunk beds, a livingroom and a kitchen. Feel free to hike the millions of acres of open space behind our property, or just lounge around at the fire pit. There is a cell signal booster 2
The cabin is approximately an hour drive from the Denver city center. We are a mere 2 miles from Santa Maria Catholic retreat and a 1/4 mile from the Ben Tyler Trail Head. A Great fly fishing resort is a mile away also. We are 6 miles away from a cool hike at a waterfall on Guanella pass.
A launching point for great Mountain activities. Or just chilling. The best cell service here is Verizon. However, there is a cell booster installed in the cabin that will allow you to hotspot/ Wi-Fi. Hopefully, you'll leave your cell phone in your car and enjoy the mountains instead.

  • My young adult daughter and two golden doodles and I had a most marvelous weekend at Ward's. We were lucky enough to be there to meet their St. Bernard's puppies and enjoy the company of their sweet children. The place was spotless, had an ideal kitchen, and plenty of roaming spaces for our doggers. When the DVD player didn't work, Ward promptly brought another in and connected it for us. Ward and his family were kind, responsive, and frequently checked in with us to make sure we had all we needed. They also gave suggestions on nearby hikes and scenic locations. We even got a guided hike from their son. Our firepit last night was amazing and really capped our weekend. Would definitely come again!

  • Loved staying at Ward’s cabin. He was very helpful, with anything my family and I might need. Great deal, for a cabin, close to lots to explore.

    Hannah2019-08-02T00:00:00Z
  • Ward was very responsive and made sure we had everything we needed for a great getaway. The right amount of privacy mixed with the offer to help when needed. He even provided us with S’mores ingredients and utensils on the last night when he saw us by the fire.

    Mick2019-07-31T00:00:00Z
  • The host is very responsive and available. The cabin is located in a beautiful mountain setting and is private with plenty of space. It is like having your own mountain retreat.

This cozy, natural lit apartment is located on 125 acres of beautiful mountain space. It is perfect for a couple or single traveler to stay in comfort and enjoy all the beauty the outdoors has to offer, such as surrounding pine and aspen trees, and wildlife such as deer and chipmunks. It is a small and cozy apartment with a bunk bed, sleeps 2, fridge, microwave, and uses a community shower and bath house directly underneath the apartment. Linens and towels are provided.
Because we are located on 125 acres of property, there is so much open outdoor space for guests to enjoy and explore. We have several outdoor seating areas, hammocks, a sand volleyball court, gym, and open soccer field to enjoy. There is a relatively short hike up to the top of "our" mountain that gives a 360 degree view of the surrounding mountains and valleys that is breathtaking. The deer and chipmunks are very accustomed to human interaction and presence, so they are hardly skittish at all. They are so fun to watch in the mornings, evenings, and even throughout the day. Pets: In order to accommodate a diverse set of guests and most of all to protect our really active wildlife at camp we don’t allow pets of any kind on the property or in the vehicles of guests
Our neighborhood, named Friendship Ranch, is a majority residential and quiet neighborhood just off 285.
  • Great space in a great location. Perfect accommodations for what I needed and a great price. Will definitely stay here again on on of my upcoming colorado adventures. Great Hosts.

  • I was so impressed with how helpful and accommodating Brent and Tanja were to our large wedding party. My sister was married at their beautiful venue and many of her guests stayed in the various accommodations around the property. While I didn’t have any personal experience with the cabins, I did stay in the crows nest apartments with my family and had a great experience. The apartments were clean and maintained, the beds were comfortable and the mini-fridge and coffee setup was an added perk. As for the wedding itself, it went off with out a hitch, much to the credit of Tanja and Brent who bent over backwards to help make the event a success. They helped make and serve drinks when the bartenders were swamped, they mopped, they cleaned, they greeted guests, they fielded questions and opened the entire place to us. I have such an appreciation for people like them who have a great deal of trust in others to respect their property and to use their items and amenities with care. Which we did! I cooked food for my kids in their dining hall and stored food and drinks in the various refrigerators. I felt at home and welcome. It’s a great place for groups, weddings, etc. and absolutely beautiful.

  • Found Brent and Tanja's place as I was looking for a place to stay on my way back from Leadville. Had hiked Mount Massive and needed a place to crash on my way back home. This place was perfect! The campground is beautiful, peaceful...a fantastic retreat. Sitting on the deck in the evening soaking in the sounds, watching the deer and hummingbirds, smelling the pine in the air. In the morning the sun greeted me in full force through the front window...didn't even need to set an alarm! Waking up to a warm shower after sleeping hard in the soft comfy bed...I was rested and ready for my 12 hour drive. Highly recommend and will definitely be staying here again.

  • Hosts were very hospitable, sent detailed instructions and directions. We got in late, around 9pm, and they showed up as we pulled in, to help direct us where to park, and orient us to our room, which was very clean and comfortable. I highly recommend this to anyone looking for quick and convenient accommodations in Bailey.

Our family built a straw bale and earthship home off the grid on 44 acres. We are opening up the straw bale home to airbnb guests and are happy to show and explain how the earthship works. We provide wood and a fire pit seating area for beautiful nights under the stars. (The house is located at roughly 10,000 feet and from the highway the house is two miles on unmaintained roads. It is possible, although rare, that the house may be inaccessible by car during the winter months. Dec.-Mar.)
The straw bale home is very cozy and comfortable with two new queen size beds, a stove, nice living room with a great view of the mountains to the west, a bathroom with a bathtub shower and a fully equipped kitchen.
The south park valley is huge and ranches are very spread out. We often see antelope foxes and big jack rabbits in the area.
  • If you are looking for an oasis of solitude, beauty, hospitality, and overall get-away-from-it-all-ness, this is your place!

    Rebecca2019-11-25T00:00:00Z
  • We enjoyed our stay at the straw bale house! Peaceful and quiet, beautiful mountain views, and a fireplace to keep things cozy! Our 5 year old son loved playing with their friendly dog! There was no WiFi and we didn’t get good cell service, but that is ok because we just wanted to unplug and enjoy some family time! If there hadn’t been a fire ban, we would have loved to have a cookout at the fire pit! The place was clean and well stocked and Kip and family were very friendly!

    Candice2019-10-21T00:00:00Z
  • Place was so peaceful!

    Kyle2019-10-02T00:00:00Z
  • Loved our stay at the Strawbale house! It was quiet, peaceful, and comfortable, and you can’t beat the views of sunsets and stars. Not too far from places to pick up supplies, and miles upon miles of beautiful hikes and drives nearby. The house is clean, warm, and cozy. Minimal cell service was a plus & helped us unwind. Thanks for a great stay!

  • Thanks for another great stay!

    Thomas2019-09-15T00:00:00Z

Completely updated and recently remodeled vintage Airstream. Ever wanted to know what life in an Airstream would be like? Experience it in a serene Colorado mountain setting. An ideal getaway space. Great for anyone who wants to luxury camp in the mountains, having someone else do the set up work for your mountain life getaway experience. Summer outdoor activities await. So does your cute, cozy, home away from home. (This is a new listing, so prices are low to get bookings going.)
This is an Airstream Land Yacht RV. With that comes the ability to experience lots of fun and adventure, as well as some things that are different from staying in a house. We make sure that the water is full - filled by Rocky Mountain well water - at the beginning of your stay. However, water conservation is extremely important during your stay. Water comes from storage tanks, which take time to fill from a limited well. Please use water sparingly (shorter showers are recommended). Another thing to note is the toilet. It is a composting toilet. With that comes specific usage instructions. We have provided instructions (in 2 places) in the bathroom. We will send more information (at the time of booking) about using a composting toilet. It's not that different, but most importantly... everyone must sit down to pee. So if you're used to peeing while standing up, you'll need to sit down - every time. If you pee while standing, your pee will go into the wrong part of the toilet. Peeing into the wrong part of the toilet can damage the compost and cause odors (that won't exist otherwise). You may not enjoy those odors, and neither will we when we do the cleaning (and replacement of the compost - from scratch). So, when you book, please know that you'll be sitting down to use the toilet. Standing while peeing = not an option (and if this happens during your stay, we will charge an additional $50 cleaning fee). The TV does not have any TV signal. So no Netflix 'n Chill time. But, we do have a DVD player and provide a solid collection of DVDs. There are also RedBox locations in town (which is a short 10 minute drive away).
Idaho Springs has a lot to offer - 2 breweries (Tommyknocker and Westbound and Down), a great BBQ place, 2 famous pizza places (BeauJo's and Pick Axe), and a really nice recreation center. It's the gateway to a ton of outdoor activities including hiking, white water rafting, hot springs, fishing, bird watching, mountain biking, gold mine tours, and more.
  • Airstream was perfect for what we wanted and needed. I was climbing Mt Evans so this was a perfect base camp. It was so clean and more spacious than I imagined. The couch is so comfortable and the beds were so cozy! Loved the blankets too. It’s a camper - so the compost toilet is different, but works just fine!! The instructions were informative and hilarious at the same time. Highly recommend and I hope to be back again in the future!! Had the chance to meet Jon and he was very friendly and nice!

    Terri2019-09-23T00:00:00Z
  • This air-stream is a true gem. We absolute loved all the stylish touches, kitchen equipped with everything we need, surprisingly roomy bathroom and the oh so comfortable beds / couch. Just what we needed after a day of hiking Mount Evans. If you're going to be in the Idaho Springs area, I high recommend staying here.

    Jeanette2019-09-15T00:00:00Z
  • great place, very private place but stores are minutes from camper. definitely would back again

    Piotr2019-09-06T00:00:00Z
  • What a hidden Gem! This airstream is incredible. If you love to get away from the hustle and bustle and want a comfort, quiet, little get-a-way, this is for you! Just a short one hour drive from Denver airport and 30 mins to the Red Rocks Amphitheatre. Idaho springs has cute little shops, great coffee and lots of restaurant options for a night out. I feel so blessed to have found this wonderful little place in the mountains. When we return to Colorado in the future, we will for sure stay here again! I already miss that comfy leather recliner! Thanks again guys for a one-of-a-kind inexperience!

    Jessica2019-09-04T00:00:00Z
  • What a cool way to do airbnb! I wanted to spend a couple nights doing some night sky and Milky Way photography up at Mt. Evans and this was the perfect location to use as a "base camp". Also very convenient to Idaho Springs. Snug, cozy, fun space. Sure ya gotta conserve water, there's particular instructions for the toilet and wifi is limited, but those conditions didn't bother me in the slightest. I needed to use a lot of internet bandwidth for video conferencing during my work day, so I just headed down into town and used my own wifi hotspot from a local cafe (and from local brewery in the afternoon :-) ) Jonathan was great - got to chat with him a bit when I arrived. Highly recommend - if'n ya don't mind a bit of minimalism!

    Kevin2019-08-30T00:00:00Z
  • Quick booking with detailed information. Very clean, updated Airstream with clear instructions.

    Brian2019-08-28T00:00:00Z
  • A fantastic spot to spend the night after exploring Idaho Springs. We did some hiking in the morning, window shopping and got spring soaking in the afternoon, and bar hopping at night. After such a full day, we could not have been more pleased to have such a cool airstream waiting for us just up the road. Huge thank you to the hosts!

    Olivia2019-08-23T00:00:00Z
  • This airstream is absolutely perfect! It made me want to get one of my own. Such a cozy and beautiful spot to spend the night. I would definitely stay again!

  • I cannot say enough about the cabin! Firstly, the view! Sitting on the mountainside of Mt. Rosalie, you have amazing mountain views and you overlook the community below. The cabin itself is very well decorated with Jocelyns sense of style. My wife and I both were in awe of the view from sitting in the living area. Between the activities in the area and a great place to call home while there, this was the perfect end to our trip. Highly recommended!!

  • What an absolute dream it was to stay at Sarah and Jeremy’s beautiful place. My boyfriend and I stayed here as a Valentine’s Day getaway and we both were absolutely blown away by everything. From the thoughtful touches, grand walk-in shower, cleanliness, and the view! Waking up with the view that we had of the mountains made our trip so much more amazing. Everything about this place was perfect. Never have I ever stayed at an Airbnb that accommodated just about everything you needed for a stay. They supplied robes, slippers, guides and a well stocked coffee bar! Also nothing beats being greeted by their sweet pup Lou! This has been the best Airbnb ever and you won’t regret staying here.

    Alessandra2020-02-19T00:00:00Z

  • Sarah and Jeremy made this place a home away from home for us! We were greeted by Sarah and Lou, their adorable pup, and received great recommendations on where to go for dinner and things to do during our stay. The place itself is sparkling clean with a beautiful view. The bed was comfortable, the room was spacious, and they even left some beer in the fridge for us to enjoy! We look forward to visiting this relaxing mountain retreat again this summer. We recommend Sarah and Jeremy's place to anyone looking for a getaway in the mountains!

Secluded mountain getaway on 17 acres backing up to Pike National Forest. A year-round stream literally feet from the deck helps you truly escape. This beautiful 1940s cabin is within easy distance to Wellington Lake, Staunton State Park, Guanella Pass, Red Rocks, South Park City, Evergreen, brew pubs, wine rooms, and home of the Sasquatch Outpost! 70 miles from Breckenridge Ski Resort, 50 minutes to downtown Denver, 1 1/4 hour drive to DIA Airport.
This is a fully self-contained 1940s cabin with two private entrances. The main house is attached to the cabin to allow easy access to owners if needed and also complete privacy. The cabin itself has a living room with a full futon, fully-equipped kitchen, bedroom w/queen bed and two closets and dressers, small desk office space and bathroom. The back patio offers a picnic table, hammock, patio table off the deck, gas grill, and seating area for abundant wildlife and bird viewing. A year-round creek on the property offers soothing sounds of waterfalls and clean mountain air. Shampoo, soap, toiletries, coffee, teas provided. We are at 9,000 feet. The mountain air is incredible. Although the cabin will sleep four, it is ultimately more comfortable for two people. We are remodeling the bathroom!! Pics to follow. Should be a fine upgrade. A fire pit by the creek may be used during Low Fire Danger. Just let us know if you want one and we'll provide what you need. The driveway is a half mile one-lane dirt road. Remote! Easy access to Pike National Forest and Mount Evans hiking trails.
We are at the end of the road in a residential neighborhood. We respect any and all fire restrictions, and our neighbor's need for privacy and peace.

  • This cabin and property are perfect in every way for a forest retreat! The cabin was complete with everything you need and more. There were fresh flowers in the kitchen which was a nice surprise! There are many places to relax near the cabin and find solitude. And hammocks are everywhere in the loveliest places! The cabin is connected to the main house but you feel like you have the property to yourself. I didnt end up hiking within the property, but i will next time I visit. It's a great getaway for solo travelers, couples and even small families!

  • Complete & utter relaxation- even though the cabin is attached to the host home; we felt completely alone & totally relaxed. The porch, the flowing stream,The hummingbird & mule deer coming within yards of us having having our morning coffee on the porch; it was the R&R we were looking for. A sense of home only in the woods in the best & coziest way. Would recommend highly recommend Polly’s cabin.

This space is in the lower level of our home converted into a private rental which has been newly renovated. It has one bedroom, one non-conforming bedroom (no window), bathroom, living room and small kitchen with fridge, with an eating area and living room. There is a patio with chairs to enjoy the wildlife and views of the mountains. There is a hot tub that is coming May 2020! It does have a private entrance with french doors that open 180 degrees.
We are roughly 90 mins from Breckenridge and 70 minutes from Denver, 60 minutes to the hot springs and 35 mins to Red Rocks. There are local attractions as well: Hiking, climbing, fishing, Treehouse Adventure Park (zip lines and climbing) and Coney Island Boardwalk.
We live in an area where wildlife and pets are the boss. We do not advise night time walks as we do have mountain lions, bears and all other walks of life in our neighborhood. We have 2 resident dogs that lives upstairs - both are quiet dogs. One is friendly though she may bark at new people upon arrival this ends very quickly and may show aggression towards other dogs she doesn't know - I will always be with my dogs when outside. The other does have special needs and is kept with me at all times. Please keep your dogs leashed on the property, an outdoor tie is fine for them as well as long as you are on the property. There is an archery range in walking distance. Hunting and fishing are local and quite good - please follow local licensing requirements.
  • Couldn’t ask for more, it was wonderful on every aspect. Dont doubt spending your trip on this place, everything its 5 stars. Amazing host.

  • This home along with the one at Last Chance Ln. are stunning and well maintained. Mike and Gail are very sweet, thoughtful and all around great hosts! As said, both homes are beautiful and I absolutely love the hot tubs:))). Definitely hope to visit again soon! Thank you both! !!! =)

  • Snowberry is a great space, plenty of room. Mike and Gail were great hosts they invited us to dinner with their friends on checkin night. You will need a car or uber a bunch if you stay there as it is in-between Keystone and Breck (a little closer to Keystone). The hot tub was HOT too and the boot dryer was great after a long day on the mountain. They also have a guitar on site if you want to entertain everyone. It was by far my best Air BnB experience. Thank you Mike and Gail.

  • Shawna was very responsive and helpful. Roommates in the house were polite and did not spend much time in common space. The master bedroom had plenty of space for extra bags which was a big help! Getting in and out of the house through the keypad garage was easy. Very convenient walk to the Boreas Pass bus stop. The bed was so comfortable it was hard for us to stay awake past 9pm after a full day of skiing! Hopefully we'll get the chance to stay again!

    Maureen2020-02-26T00:00:00Z

    Brian2019-01-21T00:00:00Z
  • Shawna ensures your private bedroom and bathroom are sparkling clean. Awesome shower, definitely relaxes you after a long day on the mountain. It was awesome to have to hot tub, but it wasn’t working on our second night. All in all a great clean place to stay that’s reasonably priced in Breck!

    Hunter2019-01-06T00:00:00Z
  • Very nice, clean place. The bed is comfortable, the bathroom is really big and nice, and the location is good being close to the bus loop as well as a 10ish minute drive to Main St in Breck. We never met Shawna, but her directions and preparedness made our stay very easy and worry-free.

Our guest room boasts stunning views of Mts Evans and Bierstadt. We are close to both Evergreen and Conifer; each offers good food and fun. We find that when it comes to wildlife viewing, we see more here than when we go other places expecting to see them.
There are nice outside spaces. You’ll enjoy the views! As far a “kitchen”, we have coffee pot, dishes and silverware, mini-fridge, and microwave. There is not a stove or oven.
Our own little neighborhood has the Bistro at Marshdale. It's a three minute car drive from the home, and is a true bit of history. Dining and Happy Hours. Evergreen is noted for its quaint mountain vibe. The downtown has the Old Feel, but offers lots of amenities for visitors. RedRocks is 1/2 hour from our home. If you haven’t experienced it yet, that’s a must. Whether day-hiking the park or attending an evening concert, you’ll love it. Car-hiking around our area is excellent. We are situated close to both I70 and US 285. My personal favorite is 285 South through Bailey, Shawnee, Santa Maria and Grant, before finally going over Kenosha Pass (10,000 ft elevation) and into the most amazing sights of landscape. We can offer other car hikes, depending on your time allowances.
  • 5 stars all the way around! Evergreen is a beautiful town and perfect getaway destination! Linda and Dan were awesome hosts! They communicated everything we needed to know prior to arrival. My fiancée and I stayed for 3 nights and loved it. We had a couple of random needs, that they were able to accommodate! They were really friendly and very informative. I would stay again and will recommend to any friends headed to that area! Thank you Linda and Dan for making our stay easy and relaxing!

    Michael2020-02-02T00:00:00Z
  • This place has an amazing view - you have clear line of sight to Mt. Evans. Linda & Dan are wonderful hosts, and their dog Navy is very friendly. I was glad to have my dog Rosy have a friend to play with while I was there! Evergreen is a really interesting and fun place...highly recommended A+

  • Linda and Dan’s place was perfect. We loved waking up to an amazing view. Location was great; accessible to highways and all that while still up in the mountains. They sent us instructions, directions and everything beforehand so we didn’t feel like we needed to ask how to get there and how things worked. We loved that our dogs could stay with us. Navy, their dog, is very friendly and cute.

  • Very beautiful location!

    Anastasia2019-12-09T00:00:00Z
  • I had an absolutely wonderful time staying at Linda, Dan, and Navy’s beautiful mountain home. It was so hard to leave! They are super kind people, going above and beyond - from inviting me to have brunch in their home after the huge snowstorm, to letting me use their snowshoes, and taking me snowshoeing on Thanksgiving morning. Their love and kindness is wonderful and I would have actually extended my stay if there was room- but others had already booked. I’d return in a second! The views are incredible up there, and the neighborhood is full of super friendly neighbors I met walking (snowshoeing actually!) around. The apartment is clean & comfortable with views of the pine trees and mts. Super safe and easy and quick to get into the downtown Evergreen and Lake and to Three Sisters Park, among other places. Or you can relax, watch the snow, and a Netflix or Amazon Prime movie or two 😃 in a blizzard! Thanks so much Linda, Dan, and Navy! Can’t wait to see you again soon. :-) Nicole
