“Rent a pontoon and take in the sights. Or fish. Or bar/restaurant hop. Or just simply float. Great way to spend the day and enjoy the vistas.”

“This restaurant has great casual outdoor drinking at the gazebo bar and dining on the large patio. Inside there is also a large bar and dining room. It's a great space to watch the boats go by in the summertime! ”

“NJT Bus lines 197-198 (local) and 196 (express) can be used to get to and from NYC. Bus stop (at Furnace Ave) is about 1/4 mile away. This bus line can also be used to travel locally between West Milford, Greenwood Lake, and Warwick. ”

“Free live music every Friday night (& some Sat nights) at the town beach. Bring chairs or a blanket, your own food and drinks and enjoy the view from the NY side all the way to NJ. Life guard on duty during the day for kids and theater productions some evenings. ”

“Greenwood Lake is one of New York State's largest recreational lakes. In the summer people enjoy the beachfront and boat rentals. Over the last few years its becoming more or more popular with great restaurants. The Helm is open Thur-Sun and is a gastropub which is extremely popular (read you may have to wait a while for a table). But when you just want to sit outside and enjoy the views of the lake with food/drink - you can head over to Emerald Pointe - they have a big outdoor space and outside bar/gazebo. Try the veggie pizza! ”

“Though small, this place really has almost everything you would need in a pinch. The owner is also a butcher, and the meat selection is great - better than any supermarket, and much closer.”

“Best for its proximity to the Cottage, they have recently upgraded their lakeside patio. Sadly, food is barely adequate. Inside is a relic of another time. Check-out the bar for its Delft tiles, but best to go on a nice afternoon or evening for a cocktail. Some evenings will feature a singer/guitarist. ”
