  • Brian is a lovely host and the room was a nice place to stay in.

    Laurence2018-04-13T00:00:00Z
  • Lovey little BnB in a very nice location. Also very close to public transport such as the DART and buses. In fact, very easy to get to from the airport as you just take one bus (703) and it stops around 5 mins walk away. The breakfast was great. The only little improvement I have recommended is to improve the pressure of the shower in the bathroom. Otherwise I greatly enjoyed the 2 nights there!

  • Lovely house in beautiful surroundings, lots of walks to do. I particularly enjoyed the home made meals and the fact that my daughter got to toast marshmallow on the fire with the family. Very thoughtful and kind hosts

    Óscar2016-07-23T00:00:00Z
  • My stay at Lus Mor has been more than amazing. James collected us from the bus stop and drove us to their b&b where he told us some nice places to see and hike to. The area is incredibly beautiful and there's little doggies in the house and horses roaming free. The place is so peaceful and I felt completely at peace there. I really didn't want to leave after those 3 days there. Aoife made delicious food and lunch for when we were out hiking. I was really grateful as I'm vegan and she went out of her way to make me some delicious meals. I would definetly recomment staying there as they are such lovely people and the atmosphere is simply amazing and very calm. You meet people from all over the world there and learn from each other. I felt very welcome there and I just had a great time!

    Kristien2016-05-16T00:00:00Z
  • James place was perfect!! The house is a beautiful modern home that is clean, bright and welcoming! James went well out of his way to insure my time in Wicklow was the best it could be! You are close enough to town to eat and shop and within five minutes walk to the hiking trails that make this area famous. The breakfast provided is amazing and there is something for everybody. I highly recommend staying with James and exploring this wonderful garden of Ireland. Thanks again James!!

    Andre2016-09-29T00:00:00Z
  • Mountain biking was class and paintball was good fun!

    Cathal2017-05-15T00:00:00Z
  • Amazing everything! House looks fantastic and its located in a really good area of Wicklow. Food was all organic, delicious and home made. Really nice and friendly people. Really helpful, gave us many tips for our Irish tour. Definitly will stay there next time.

    Ádám2016-04-30T00:00:00Z
  • We loved our stay at Lus Mor! The atmosphere is just wonderful, a big living room where everyone can relax and have a chat, good music around and very nicely decorated. The breakfast was the best we had in Ireland. Homemade delicious bread, yoghurt, fresh fruit, a free smoothie, scrambled eggs, sausage, bacon, baked tomatoes. The dorm is great, too. Lots of space to put your stuff, enough room to other beds. Two bathrooms for all guests - might be a little crowded in the morning but we got along. The area is just wonderful and James gave us a lot of advice on where to go to have the best view or walk. The Wicklow National Park is just truly beautiful. If you have a car - and I would recommend this - you can park next to the house. Thank you very much for this great day we had at Lus Mor!

    Natalie2016-08-06T00:00:00Z
  • James was a great host. He didn't hesitate to leave his beer to show me the Guinness lake just after my arrival :D What else can i say about him ? The house was great and decorated very well. There was towel at disposition and the bathroom was clean. The breakfast was good, there was plenty of choice. I highly recommend this place !

    Samuel2017-04-23T00:00:00Z
  • Lus Mor is the perfect getaway from the hustle and bustle of life! The places James showed us will be forever embedded in our hearts and minds:). Breakfasts were top notch, the bus service he provided was invaluable and the information, hidden gems and locations he shared with us were better than any tour we could've taken! The house itself is immaculate and decorated so cute! Sheep surround the property and Bob the amazing dog was quite the sweet house greeter! My family and I loved the stay and recommended it to anyone who needs breathtaking views and fresh air!

  • Only a brief one night stay but a very warm welcome from the first minute. Room was very cosy & comfy, and a great Irish breakfast in the morning. Only 10 mins drive from central Bray so great if you'd rather not stay on the seafront/ centre

  • Tony made us so welcome in his lovely b & b. Perfect location for exploring the area and his full Irish breakfast is the best way to start the day!

    David2016-08-29T00:00:00Z
  • Tony & Connie are very welcoming hosts with a great sense of humour – nothing was too much trouble. The Hillside B&B is in a great location with beautiful mountain views and lovely walks along the coastal path. The breakfasts were delicious. We will stay again whenever we are in that location.

    George2017-09-10T00:00:00Z
  • Very kind hosts and a comfortable appartment with a spectacular view and a perfect full irish breakfast. It is a bit closer to Bray than to Greystones. Absolutely recommendable.

    Bernd2014-05-30T00:00:00Z
  • This B&B is perfect! Everything we hoped for in Ireland...out of Dublin enough to rest but within driving distance of a lot of neat towns and things to see. Tony was incredible...made us feel right at home and made breakfast hot to order every morning whenever we came in to eat....he was so so accommodating! The beds were comfy, the view is breathtaking, and the hospitality was the best! Highly recommend!

    Rhandi2016-05-27T00:00:00Z
  • Tony was a super host - since we were travelling without a car, he was very generous in getting us to the pub, to the Cliff Walk trailhead, and to the shuttle bus to the airport. Fabulous breakfast, the place was clean and welcoming.

A beautiful 4-bed house in a quiet estate outside Bray, Co.Wicklow. The children have moved out and there is a beautiful, spacious double bedroom available. It's a welcoming family house and we would love to welcome new people to our home and treat them like a family member.

  • Peter and his wife were wonderful hosts! The room was very nice, and his home was lovely. He was very accommodating, offering to make us breakfast and giving us a ride to and from the train station for our arrival and departure. They were also a great source of information for how to get around and the best sites to see. Overall, a really wonderful experience!

    Becca2018-06-16T00:00:00Z
  • Peter's place definitely exceeded all our expectations! The room was big and bright, the house was beautiful and extra clean and the location was perfect, only a short walk to the city centre and the seaside. Peter and his wife were very welcoming hosts and answered all our questions about what to do in Bray. I strongly recommend to stay with them!

    Catherine2018-08-28T00:00:00Z
  • Peter is an amazing host, everywhere is spotlessly clean. We were staying for 4 days for my brothers wedding. We were given a lift to the wedding by our hosts lovely wife, we were told how to get to the dart, and the best places to eat. As this was our first ever stay at an Airbnb we were delighted that it was a perfect one. We would defiantly stay at Peter's again and hope to do so in the future. The room was very spacious and had everything you would need for your stay.

    Bernadette2018-08-26T00:00:00Z
  • Peter and Trish were great hosts, kind and interesting people. Peter even gave me a lift into bray on arrival and departure. Happy to recommend.

    Sarah2018-07-23T00:00:00Z
  • Most amazing host ever! He made us tea and fresh baked scones every morning, such a warm and kind host! He always made sure we got around ok. Would definitely recommend this place to anyone that wants to stay in Bray! He made our experience so much better!

  • We had a great time at Peter and Trish's place. They really went out of their way to make us feel comfortable, welcome and at home. By the way Peter bakes the best scones we had so far and we are really grateful for the great advices concerning what to do and see.

Luxury living in restored Georgian Villa with modern kitchen, modern conservatory/orangery and TV room with period open fireplace. This private Guest Room( No 1 of 2-see separate listing for Room 2 of 2) is beautifully decorated with high ceiling, period cast iron fireplace ,dado rail, picture rail modern art wall paintings/prints and solid American oak flooring. Our period home is located in a quiet neighbourhood at the base of Killiney Hill. This is in the historic area of Killiney with it's many period houses. It is near to the splendid Killiney Bay with its beach that will suit hardy swimmers, but for the less intrepid it is still a wonderful place to go for a seaside stroll. For more details see; http://www.tripadvisor.ie/Attractions-g212297-Activities-Killiney_County_Dublin.html The historic Heritage Town of Dalkey is nearby. With it's numerous restaurants and bars and added to it's literary past it is a place well worth a visit-from our home as it is just a short one stop hop away on the DART. For the more strenuous guests a lengthy walk to Dalkey could take in Killiney Hill and it's obelisk together with the spectacular 360deg panoramic views that this location provides -this includes views of: Killiney Bay from Dalkey to Bray Head( that has been rightly likened to Sorrento Bay in Italy), to Bray Head and the Sugarloaf Mountains in County Wicklow and to Dublin Bay and Dublin City. The Dublin & Wicklow Mountains, including Glendalough, are readily accessible by car, or again for the more strenuous guests these may be accessed by bicycle-we ourselves are keen cyclists and hikers and can advise on many routes of varying degrees of difficulty. Cyclists and their bicycles are most welcome to our home..
  • Tony and Cathy are a wonderful couple. The family is a very good host, the room looks great and everything is prepared with Engineering precise,), beautiful bathroom - very luxurious, with warm colors, just perfect! :) The house is located very well - there are many things to do, definelety two days is not enough to see everything. I can really recommend this place to stay. Ewelina

  • This was our first airbnb experience and it was much more than I expected. Antony cares for his guests perfectly. We now know all about self-baking the bread we had for breakfast. If you do not know exactly what to do on a day, Antony wil give you detailled advices and draw a map for you where to go.

    Dietrich2016-07-04T00:00:00Z
  • Anthony was a great host and he helped us by suggesting a number of attractions in the area, train details etc. He was always welcoming and ready to ensure we had everything we required. It was great to meet Cathy and the family as well. We enjoyed Anthony's home made bread and jams etc. for breakfast. We would highly recommend staying at Anthony's place.

    Kevin2017-04-30T00:00:00Z
  • Cathy and Tony are fabulous hosts! Their beautiful and comfortable home is in a very quiet and lovely residential location near Dalkey, where we used to live years ago. Dalkey has several lovely restaurants and pubs, and like Killiney, offers a fabulous starting place to just womble around, hike or bike along the spectacular coastal roads and cliffs and take in the fresh breeze from the Irish Sea to rejuvenate your mind and body. Cathy and Tony provide a cozy bedroom with ample storage for our clothes etc. for a five night stay. The bathroom, located immediately across from our bedroom, was very modern, clean and for our exclusive use during our stay. Most of all we enjoyed great conversation with Cathy and Tony, talking about our travels and more; and we really enjoyed Tony's milk-free seeded brown bread! What a treat! We do hope to return on our next visit to the Dublin area!

    Pinkard2017-02-27T00:00:00Z
  • This place is just as beautiful and luxurious as it appears. I only stayed two nights and wished I had longer to linger in the area. Every detail was superb - from the comfortable bed to the delicious homemade bread. The host was very friendly and helpful.

The bedroom is cute and well-decorated. The breakfast is also good with a delicious homemade bread. We totally enjoyed our three days here.

Beautiful Double Ensuite Bedroom - 2 minutes from Bray Seafront and DART station . Stay in a Victorian House with original cornices and fireplaces. Great location for exploring Dublin or Wicklow ,The Garden of Ireland. It is the gateway to Ireland's Ancient East. Wide choice of Restaurants, Pubs and Entertainment locally.
  • Irene and her lovely husband Damian could not have been more hospitable. Our ferry was delayed and we did not arrive in the end until almost midnight. Damian was up to welcome us, he even stood in the middle of the road when we could not find the house lol. The room was all we needed and the shower hot and powerful. We had a lovely breakfast with them in their pretty sunroom and my American girlfriend got to try Irish bread for the first time, she is hooked. The area looked adorable and the property is very close to the sea, sadly it was just a quick layover before we left for Malahide, but would like to come back and explore Bray some more. Thank you so much to both our hosts for a nice stay.

  • This is an amazing place; stylish yet periodesque; on a lovely leafy street right off bray promenade. The best air b n b hosts too with lots of friendly advice and a super breakfast next day. Highly recommended!

  • I booked with them, but because the room was already booked, Irene and Damien contacted me immediately explaining this and making sure I would receive my money back. Because Airbnb processed the transaction immediately, they transferred the money back immediately and maintained a good communication with me. I think they’re a very nice people and I’d love to stay in their place sometime.

This fabulous old house with such character is located less than 5 minutes walking time from the main street, harbour and lovely beach in Greystones. PRICE IS PER ROOM NOT ENTIRE HOUSE -- PLEASE, KINDLY REMOVE YOUR OUTDOOR SHOES BEFORE ENTERING
The price is for one bedroom in a shared house.
Greystones is one of the most connected and friendly neighborhoods in Co. Wicklow. Everyone is extremely friendly and everyone always compliments the people. We have great facilities all walking distance which include leisure centres, pubs, cafes, many restaurants, stunning scenic walks and views, golf courses, driving range etc.
  • In a great spot just a short walk out of town. We only stayed one night, but checkin was fine and we had everything we needed for our stay. Zoe was very friendly and hospitable and made sure we had everything we needed - she organised an early breakfast for an early departure which was lovely. Only negative was the cost (£130) for 2 rooms, which felt over priced, but that may be in line with other places in the area.

    Ryan2018-09-16T00:00:00Z
  • Zoe was very friendly and cooked a lovely breakfast

    Catherine2018-07-22T00:00:00Z
  • Due to flight and bus schedules we arrived several hours before checkin time. ZOe was very gracious and welcomed us with warmth and a quick tour of her home as she was running late for an appointment. Greystones area is really lovely and Zoe's home was in an easy walk to the station, shops and cafes. Zoe was very helpful, fun, easy to talk to and very helpful. We enjoyed our stay with Zoe - the first 3 nights of a 14 day holiday in Ireland. Thankyou Zoe.

    Jillian2016-08-16T00:00:00Z
  • Zoe is incredibly warm and welcoming! She clearly genuinely cares for the welfare of her guests, and enjoys looking after them. The food she laid on was absolutely fantastic, more than I was expecting and very tasty. Her house is a short walk from the centre of Greystones, and is a good base for exploring this great town.

    Jennifier2017-11-02T00:00:00Z

  • If you want a comfortable, homey experience mixed with friendly and helpful service, you should stay at Zoe's place! This was our first Air B&B experience. Zoe made it one to remember! Accomodation will make you feel at home and if you want, you can be a part of her family and friends. Great experience in getting to know Irish culture. Zoe is a good cook as well and your breakfasts will be a thing to look forward to in the morning!

Situated 2.5km from Roundwood village and 10 mins from the Monastic Settlement of Glendalough, our home is in a peaceful, secluded spot in the foothills of Wicklow Mountains. With easy access to the Wicklow Way it is a walkers paradise!
We have 1 en-suite bedroom which has a double and a single bed. The room can be used as a family room to facilitate a couple and two children as we can provide an additional guest bed. An additional fee of Euro 12 per child over 10 years old per night applies.
The neighbourhood is in quiet sheep-farming countryside. Roundwood Village has a selection of pubs/restaurants and a mini supermarket. We are about 30 mins drive to the seaside (Bray/Greystones beaches) and 1 hr from Dublin.
  • Anne Marie was a lovely host. She gave us great tips on what to do in the area and answered all our questions. Her house is in a beautiful, calm area. The room is spacious and has everything you need. Especially great was the breakfast she served us. We were amazed by the variety and quality of the food! We would absolutely stay with her again!

  • Anne-Marie is a fantastic host, so warm and friendly. The house is beautiful, very clean. We liked the idea of no outide shoes upstairs :) Breakfast was delicious and had all we needed to start our busy day. Will definitely visit Anne-Marie again!

  • A great quiet spot to unwind. Perfectly located to access the Wick low way and Glenda lough. Anne-marie was a very welcome. ING and atentative hostess.

  • Anne-Marie was an excellent host who made us feel very welcome in her comfortable home. She provided us with a lot of useful information about the local area and helped us to plan our itinerary for the west coast. In the morning, we very much enjoyed the selection of fresh fruit, orange juice, yoghurt and cereal followed by a cooked breakfast. We also appreciated the peaceful and quiet rural setting. All in all, a very relaxing stay with a most considerate host. Thank you Ann-Marie!!!

  • This was our first experience of airbnb and what a wonderful start to this new way of seeing the world. Anne-Marie and her husband Damian made us all very welcome and most helpful with local information. Wonderful breakfast and lovely peaceful surrounds. Would love to come back again. Thank you so much

  • Lovely home in the woods. At any moment a deer and her fawn might appear at the bottom of the garden. Homemade salad dressing, hand drawn local maps a little life advice. What was not to like?

  • We staied for 2 days with our two children. Every thing was simply perfect. The most impresive for me was the emplacement of the house, in the middle of the country, you feel that you live alone there, in a very quiet place, but very next to Glendalogh, and many walk trails. I love the acces to the house crossing a contry line with a green tunnel of trees; please Anne Marie, put a photo of this. The wild garden is incredible, like taken out of a fairy tale. The room and beds very confortable and clean. The breakfast excellent, by the side of a long window to the garden. And the best of our stay: Anne Marie, her hospitality and respect. Thank you. Jorge.

  • Anne-Marie was wonderful. She prepared an amazing breakfast that fueled us on a nice hike. She is also well versed about hiking both in Ireland and around the world. One of the best hosts I've had. Highly recommended. Her house is in a beautiful setting and the room was very comfortable.

  • This place is adorable and scenic beyond belief (inside and outside), but difficult to find. Make sure you've got plenty of time before dark to make your way there, and that you've pre-loaded the map/directions as you'll likely lose service on your way. The guests seemed to be a bit younger than the avg B&B demographic - it was sort of like a hip, upscale hostel in feel. There were snacks and drinks provided 24/7 with fair prices and "honor system" payment. The main room has a gorgeous view and was well occupied as a casual lounge - folks seemed free to use the space as they wished, no lace doilies or personal knick knack shelves in the main room clearly designed for guest use. There's a smallish dog named Bob and he is a very good boy who likes scritches and pets and curling next to the nearest human. We wished we could have stayed longer - the area is incredible and perfect for hiking and wandering. Don't make our mistake, definitely give yourself two nights at the inn so you get a full day in the mountains.

  • We were warmly welcomed on arrival and were taken good care of by our hosts. They are very attentive and eager to help their guests in any way they can.

  • We stayed 2 nights at Lus Mor (my dad, 76 years old, and myself), at the ensuite room. Great room, great place, great meals, great breakfast, great stay! Beautiful view from the house. James and Rebecca were very kind and helpful. Interaction with other guests (other nationalities) was really nice, we had some very nice chats. If we have another opportunity we will certainly come back there. Thanks for your hospitallity James! You have a great place.

    Diana2018-05-17T00:00:00Z
  • Jame's house is an incredible find - the views from the rooms and the common area are gorgeous - there are tons of flyers, maps and advice about the local area. The fireplace in the living space is beautiful and cosy, and the rooms are spacious and clean. We loved the cooked breakfast and the honesty bar (although we didn't use it) is a really nice touch. Overall a fab place to stay for one night or a week even - really recommended!

  • James is very friendly, has a lot of fantastic advice about the surroundings, and is always eager to help! Would definitely recommend!

  • We stayed here during a hike of the Wicklow Way and had a wonderful experience! The house is conveniently located just a short distance from the trail and avoids the need to hike the three extra miles along a road to Roundwood (which is also helpful the next morning to get back on the trail more quickly). The grounds are idyllic, with a working farm, lush grass lawns, glorious views of the mountains and plenty of outdoor seating. The house is charming and modern with large central lounge areas to relax and spacious bedrooms. The place is immaculately clean and even has two wifi networks to ensure good coverage. There are complimentary teas and coffee available all day in the kitchen. And the food is delicious - we stayed in for dinner and the home cooking is mouthwatering. James and Rebecca pride themselves on their culinary skills with good reason. Both dinner and breakfast were veritable feasts of fresh, local produce. Our room was very comfortable with plenty of space, high quality bedding and a view of the grounds. James and Rebecca were consummate hosts, communicating promptly, and ensuring we were happy. The relaxed and peaceful nature of the place complemented by the functionality and attention to detail made this a delightful stay!

  • The Lus Mor is a lovely, eccentric B&B that welcome all travelers. We felt so at home - James even had some leftover soup from one of his batches so that we had something to eat when we arrived (a little late and after some of the nearby restaurants closed). He gave us great recommendations on where to drive to take in the views of the area. We will definitely be back!

  • Our stay in Susie´s house was really enjoyable from the first moment on. After we arrived at Susie´s place we were warmly welcomed and guided through the rooms. The house and the bedroom / bath is really clean. The bed es comfortable. I forgot my shower gel so Susie helped me out. After a great night of restful sleep we went to the kitchen to have breakfast. There was a lot of choice including fresh coffee and tea. Susie was a nice host for our stay in Roundwood... to be honest the best we could wish for. Highly recommended ! We will stay there again if we're in the near of roundwood.

Silver Gates is located close to some quality amenities such as a lovely wine bar, Shankill and Killiney villages, Killiney beach, Ben Dunne gym and various coffee shops. The property is a very traditional Irish family home and boasts amazing landscaped and manicured west facing gardens with beautiful water features and plenty of patio space to relax and enjoy the scenery. It really is a quintessential Irish experience.
A spacious double bedroom with wardrobes and storage looking over a sunny westerly facing landscaped garden.
The property is located on a country road in a quiet suburb of Dublin with accesses to many amenities. Within minutes walk of a fantastic wine bar which offers a great selection of wines and food. Also within walking distance is a gym (Ben Dunne Gym Cherrywood, www.bendunnegyms.com which allows a full month's membership for only €18.95 which may suit longer term guests.), store and coffee shops. We are located on a quality bus corridor which hosts major bus routes into Dublin city as well as the Aircoach bus which provides direct access to and from Dublin Airport. Located on Cherrywood Road, just off the N11 national road close to St. Columcille's Hospital. Also within walking distance is Cherrywood Business Park which hosts companies like Dell, Friends First, Abbot, Elavon and many others. There is parking available for up to 6 cars and extended parking is available at the local wine bar at the end of the street.
  • Ruth & Tom were so helpful before we even arrived offering to drive us to a wedding venue we were attending in their area. Their home is just beautiful. Full of lovely things and lots of colour which I love. I also loved the little touches of fresh flowers, water and toiletries in our bedroom and the bed itself was so comfortable . As for the breakfast, well it was so delicious . It was served in the conservatory and Ruth makes the jam and marmalade herself. My favourite part though is her stunning garden which you can view while you are eating. We had coffee outside later in the morning as the sun was shining and it was so enjoyable. There are so many different seating areas and some are hidden so if you were staying a few days and wanted some rest and relaxation it is the perfect place to be. I will be recommending Silver gates to friends, family and my own guests if they are looking for a home away from home on the south side of the city with beautiful beaches all close by. Truly a great find. You will also be greeted by their adorable little dog Cody who comes to say hi and then goes back to his favourite chair or hiding place. Thanks Ruth & Tom.

  • The moment we arrived at Ruth's place, we felt as though we were returning friends. Ruth is the consummate hostess - warm, welcoming and hospitable to everyone who crosses her doorstep and we truly enjoyed our short stay here. Our room was crisp, clean and colourfully decorated and we made instant friends with Cody (the resident pooch) and his visiting doggy friend. We were only here for one night but we spent time with Ruth and Tom and even met some of the family, and were treated to a nice breakfast in their sunny garden room looking at Ruth's stunning array of tulips and other flowers. Ruth is as colourful as her home - packed with goodness and appealing to all the senses. We came, hoping for a night in a nice little place and we left feeling as though we'd made new friends.

  • Ruth and her family are really special hosts they adopt you into their lovely home as part of the family. We have used Airbnb before and this is by far the best experience we have had. They are warm, friendly and very welcoming. We loved our interaction with them. It is wonderful to find such lovely people who will do everything in their power to make sure your stay is special. We were allowed the freedom of their home. We both loved our experience and wish our stay could have been longer.

Roundwood village can be reached by foot in just under 15 minutes. There is a wide range of places to eat and drink in the village. There is a small supermarket and one or two gift shops as well. In addition to the Wicklow Way trail, there are several short walks in the area; two Slí na Sláinte trails; one in nearby Ballinastoe Woods and others around the Vartry Reservoir. Just two minutes from our house is Victoria's Way, the fascinating spiritual sculpture garden with a large collection of granite monuments of the Hindu deity Ganesh. Its well worth the visit if you're staying with us.
  • Catherine’s bed and breakfast was beautiful, bright, and clean. Catherine was very kind and extremely easy to communicate with. Had a great experience!

  • Catherine’s place is absolutely beautiful, such a lovely setting in the countryside. Catherine and Eimear were fantastic hosts, giving us privacy while being easily accessible to answer any questions we had. Eimear had wonderful suggestions for where to get in a good run as well as where to get a good meal. The space was beautiful and clean and had everything we needed.

  • Place is fine. The issues were related to checkin in. Nobody opened the door and responded to telephone calls. After 1 hour of looking for alternative lodging we managed to get contact.

  • This is a beautiful place with a thoughtful and delightful host. It's a great starting point to visit the many magical places in this part of Ireland.

  • I do not know how do start to describe Irene. We had some troubles with our rental car and we did not arrive in time. Irene is the most graceful, honest, decent and warm host everybody wish to meet and never does. She made us feel welcome, grateful and happy. We will definitely stay there on our next vacation in Ireland and take Irene and her husband out to dinner and brag about our grandkids. You cannot find a better host.

  • This place was cute, steps away from the train and everything you can thing of. Hosts were friendly and extremely accommodating. Only downside is the room was freshly painted and could of used more time to air out the smell.

  • Perfectly positioned to take in the sights and sounds of Bray. Within walking distance to the shops, first rate pubs and restaurants and scenic walks along the beach and around Bray Head. Irene and Damien are charming hosts and we were made to feel most welcome in their home.

The name of the house is Lus Mor. The house is situated down a long country lane and surrounded by small sheep farms. The neighborhood is unique because of its peaceful surroundings and how accessible the mountains are form the area. The local area consists of small farming community and genuinely friendly people
  • We had walked 45 kms over two days by the time we arrived at james and Aoife's home last saturday afternoon . They are the creators of a house just out and up from the town of roundwood co. Wicklow. 'Lusmore' It is a wonder. Through the glass front doors is a wide hall decorated in bright colours against a grey . There are two levels in the hall and it is the kind of space that can be used in different ways .. as a place to eat or a place to practice a physical discipline such as yoga or dance. . Aoife had homemade cookies ready for us and a cup of tea. We had a huge choice of teas . James and Aoife themselves are an inspiration. Friendly and energetic young people who in six months single handedly transformed a building site into a palace. There was something dreamlike about the house which suited our state of mind after spending the last seven hours in the mountains walking under the open sky. Later they set up a table for us with a candle and served a magnificent three course meal . A soup to die for... a warm chicken and mixture of vegetables salad and potatoes all organically grown. An insane concoction of fruit , flambeed banana , ice cream and chocolate as an incredible desert. They left us to ourselves while we ate and gave us the use of their music system to create our own atmosphere . We could not have dreamed of a kinder place to rest our bones and reflect on the majesty of the walk we were two thirds of the way through. The bedrooms are decorated with great taste and colour. and of course we slept like babes. In the morning Aoife applied herself to dressing my partner Marion's blistered foot. From my room i could hear laughter . Apart from providing a service for rest and sustenance they provide unpretentious and unforced friendship and support. I feel like we have made new friends and I look foreword to visiting Lusmore again and again. Liam ó Maonlaí

  • Aoife and James have a lovely, characterful place in the countryside, with great views. They were wonderful hosts, and made every effort to make our stay enjoyable. Aoife cooked delicious breakfasts and dinners for us, beautifully presented.

    Simon2016-07-03T00:00:00Z
  • James and Aoife could not have made us feel more welcome, they are both fantastic and friendly hosts. The location is stunning and the house is amazing. Cosy, homely place to stay and 3 miles away from the local mountain bike trains which are very good too. Breakfast was superb and if you stay please do try Aoife's food! Hearty soup and homemade bread for lunch was delicious, and the chocolate gateau for the evening desert was the best I ever had. Can't recommend staying here enough!

    Andrew2016-03-28T00:00:00Z
  • Aoife and James were such wonderful hosts. Walking into Lus Mor was a breath of fresh air after so much traveling. Their place is bright and clean and has an awesome vibe where you can hang out and relax. We were running late on our way there and they were both very quick in responding and making sure we were getting on okay. When we arrived, Aoife showed us around and offered us dinner. The food is amazing! What a great experience to have such a nice home cooked meal after a long day of traveling. We had dinner, listened to music, and were able to really recharge that night. We only had one day left of our trip, so we planned on having an early start the next day. We didn't stay in time for breakfast, but they both made sure we had some homemade banana bread and fruit for us to eat before we left. They also recommended where to go to in the national park if we had limited time - it was so helpful! The location of the house is amazing - the view is stunning too. You are in the middle of the national park and have access to hike and walk wherever you'd like. You definitely feel like you are at a friend's house when you stay here. Can't wait to visit again.

    Paola2016-06-20T00:00:00Z
  • We really enjoyed the Lus Mor. Design and layout of the house really adds to the enjoyment, so bright and fresh! Such a gorgeous oasis in the Wicklow mountains. We loved the breakfast served every morning and the dinner made for us (€25 euro if you want a 3 course gourmet meal!) We also really enjoyed having our dog, Cleo with us, she loved the big yard and fire to lay by at night. Aoife and James and Dylan; gems of people.

    Katie2016-08-04T00:00:00Z
  • James' place is a huge home in the middle of the Wicklow mountain area with beautiful 360 views and a cozy community-style home. We were lucky enough to have shared the place with several other guests from around the world at the time (Germany, local Ireland, France, South Africa), and loved sharing dinner and breakfast with them. We planned to head into town for dinner but James had a friend, Sasha, who was training to be a chef, so we stuck around and had a meal made for us. Great great food though perhaps a bit too much (hah!)... but also great accommodations and a beautiful location you just can't beat. James is also great for hiking tips and great scenic views for the adventurous souls out there. Perfect place to stay if you are! You'll probably share a bathroom with another guest if the place is full but this was no problem. Had a great time.

Our "homely" home is 1.5km from the picturesque victorian village of Enniskerry - and all it has to offer (golf, mountains, shopping, seaside, art), Dublin city is 1/2 hr by car or a 45 min bus trip away - Rooms are available autumn through spring.
This is a wonderful renovated, extended and tastefully furnished cottage. It is beginning to show the wear and tear of a happily lived in home, paint chipped, carpets artistically scuffed etc! It is well insulated and geothermally heated, wood burning stoves are in both the living spaces, solar panels ensure constant hot water and the wind turbine gives it an eco feel. The garden is spacious and well cared for. There is free wireless broadband internet access. Our chickens roam in the garden and a fresh egg is on offer for breakfast. This is the perfect place for a relaxing get-away. We can accommodate a double and twin booking sept-june (the entire house is available self catering July and august and sleeps 10 comfortably)
Our neighbourhood is rural but accessible - outside our door are great walks and views of the mountains and the sea. Enniskerry is an elegant Victorian village, Powerscourt Gardens and waterfall and the famous Johnny Fox's pub and its traditional flare are within 3.5km. There are numerous Golf courses close by and Dublin city centre is a 40 minute bus ride away.
  • I loved being with Lorna and her family. They live in a perfect house and they are so welcoming! I spent three great days with them and I've been able to rest but also to visit, which is a perfect combo. Everybody has been present for me and I couldn't ask for more!

    Manon2014-05-20T00:00:00Z
  • Lorna and Dan are just great hosts. We totally enjoyed staying in their house and highly recommend to all who prefer staying outside Dublin with great access to Glendalough and Wicklow mountains.

    Adam2018-08-25T00:00:00Z
  • One of the most welcoming places I have ever stayed. Right from picking me up from the station Lorna made sure I felt spoilt, and even brought me breakfast in bed after a heavy wedding the night before! She has a large and lively family and they welcomed me totally. Thanks Lorna!

    Emma2014-04-14T00:00:00Z
  • Lorna's place is really nice. Although she and her family were on holiday during our stay, everything was ready for us and communication via messages was excellent. We really felt taken care of. The location of the house is great for everyone who prefers staying outside the city and especially for those who plan to go trekking to Glendalough or anywhere else that direction. We are looking forward to coming back soon.

    Adam2018-08-15T00:00:00Z
  • Our experience with Lorna and her family was fantastic. From giving us suggestions/directions to our delicious breakfast and great conversation, Lorna was the ultimate hostess. She was so welcoming, and it was clear she wanted her guests to feel at home. The description given of the space was accurate, things were clean, and the neighborhood was quiet but so kind. I cannot recommend Lorna/this location enough!

    Amanda2014-10-14T00:00:00Z
  • Lorna and her family are really nice and helpful people. We very much enjoyed the stay. Lorna is really eager to help you with anything. We received many good tips for both our time in Dublin as the Enniskerry surroundings. Five children, a dog and a cat, but still she manages to keep the house very neat and clean. On top of that, the breakfast is more than delicious :)

    Tamara2017-03-13T00:00:00Z
  • Beautiful, relaxing and location was perfect bus stop right outside door . Enniskerry village at the bottom of hill. Bray a short bus ride away with lovely resteraunts on the beach ( Ocean resteraunt was our choice food was really good )Then a train straight into Dublin, it was the long way around but worth it. Just need to check bus timetables cos sometimes not very frequent but we had no problems we had a super time in a wonderful home and amenities and beautiful location. We were more than satisfied, my grandson loved it especially Winnie the family cat ( who he still talks about ) and a great garden for the kids. This was a hidden gem and my best air and B by far.

    Cathryn2018-07-15T00:00:00Z
  • Dan and Lorna are wonderful hosts!! Comfortable and cozy with yummy breakfasts. They have 5 beautiful children but you would never know they were there because of the respect for their guests. You can keep to yourself but we suggest visiting with the family. They helped us find our way wherever we needed to go and made great suggestions of places to visit. We will stay here again!!

  • Lus Mor is very comfortable and fit our family perfect. The breakfast that was included was great. Rebekah and James, our hostess's, were very nice and helpful. I would try and arrive before nightfall, only because the B&B is a bit remote and the road is a bit narrow.

  • Friendly and fun hostel. AirBnB directions for the final few km were wrong, and took a while to sort out. But hopefully James has now sorted this out.

    Grant2017-06-15T00:00:00Z
  • Very Nice and quiet place, a little bit far from the city when you're walking but it's worth it. James is a really nice host and Sacha who makes great meals is really nice too. Thank you!

  • Aoife and James make you feel at home from the moment you arrive until the end! Their B&B is located in the Wicklow mountains, a very beautiful natural area. There are great possibilities for hicking and biking.

    Matthijs2016-05-04T00:00:00Z
  • We had a great stay at James and Aoife's. They really make you feel at home and the food is amazing! Aoife cooks delicious and is really creative when someone has a special diet. Her own homemade bread is the best thing after a day of hiking.

    Evelien2016-03-26T00:00:00Z
  • James is a wonderful host, very friendly and made us feel welcome the minute we arrived. His dorm is quite remote, located in a lovely area and very close to some of Wicklow's finest nature and trecking paths. Also there was a great breakfast and we left with a good feeling. Please be aware that you'll have to expect to share the big 7-bed-room with other visitors though.

James built the house himself. Food was great, and James gave us a ride back to the Wicklow Way to continue our trek.

  • Lus Mor is the perfect backpacker's layover. Just a 20-minute walk from the Wicklow Way, and not much further from lake Tay. The house is very charming, comfortable, and attracts an awesome bunch of people. Loved the staff! At the same time, there's all you'd expect — clean, comfortable, spacious, well equipped. Great value for the dollar. Thanks!

  • Our stay was wonderful. Aoife and James picked us up from the busstation and made us feel very welcome in their lovely b&b. They give you great tips about what walks to take and even drop you off at a good starting point for your hike. Lus mor has the relaxed atmosphere of a hostel, but the accommodation and service of a b&b. We loved the quirky house, great views and easy atmosphere.

  • Spent one night on our way to West Cork. Comfy bed and enjoyed the lovely breakfast before heading on our journey.

    Lyn2016-07-29T00:00:00Z
  • This place is an absolute gem. If you go, do a bit of thesaurus research as I ran out of ways to say "amazing, delicious, beautiful" I went to Lus Mor to write and relax for a night and I now wish I lived there. Aoife and James are exceptionally friendly people. Aoife's food is some of the best I've had. The quality of the ingredients is evident as is her talent for cooking. The horses, the darling sausage dogs and the surrounding scenery all bunch together to make me mutter " (Website hidden by Airbnb) way" over and over. I'd go back weekly if I could! Aoife and James strike the perfect balance of treating you like royalty while also giving you space to do your own thing. Better service then any 5 star hotel I've been to. If you're in two minds...go! The beds are comfy, the decor is cosy/chic and sitting by the fire watching a full moon while writing was magical... Thanks guys, Hope to see you again very soon. xx

  • A friend and I shared a room with two twin beds for several nights while attending a conference at nearby IADT. It was an easy walk or bus ride to downtown Dun Laoghaire, and near a quite good pub. Sean and Anne couldn't have been nicer and allowed us to drop off bags when our plane got in and to check in a few hours early, allowing us to catch a much needed nap after a red eye! Would definitely recommend.

On the coldest night of the year theirs was the warmest and friendliest home in Dublin. Being on a bus route which goes direct to the centre of Dublin was an added bonus we did not expect. We will certainly visit again.

    Geoffrey2018-02-25T00:00:00Z
  • Anne & Sean were so accommodating! The location was charming, and the pub right down the street (P. McCormack & Sons) had great service. Good good & drinks too. The bed was comfortable and inviting, and in the morning Anne's French press coffee hit the spot. Great first night's stay in Ireland!

  • Excellent hosts. My Sister and husband enjoyed their stay and Anne and Sean were always on hand to help. Very quick response when booking.

  • This is not the kind of review I want to write - but you must be warned! First it was hard to find, the parking was terrible. The owner briefly greeted us at check in and then we never saw him again - let alone his wife, whom we never saw, even in the morning. The hose was old, that's ok. The floors where creeky and the boards were loose. The carpet was filthy. The towels were like sand paper. There was black mold I n the shower. The bed was so creeky, got no sleep. There was mold on all the bread slices, the orange juice was so sour, like it was there for weeks! We never saw the host in the morning. I would never stay there again, nor should you. These places should be inspected!

  • This is a great hostel in the Wicklow mountains. Spectacular scenery, many wonderfully quirky, artistic, thoughtful touches which added to a great night. Would have definitely stayed longer had there been room for us and we’d love to return at some point

  • James met my son and I at our car and escorted us in the front door. There were a few guests sitting in the living room as we passed by to go upstairs to our room. Everything was exactly as pictured on the Airbnb site - so beautiful! We stayed in the dorm with 7 beds and were able to sleep in an alcove area that enabled us to share our electricity adapter/converter. We met the nicest people - some whom have become new (Hidden by Airbnb) friends! The food was fantastic and there was plenty of it! I especially enjoyed the sautéed tomatoes and mushrooms which went well with the scrambled eggs. James greeted us each morning with a fruit "smoothly" and there were plenty of seating options both shared and more secluded. My son enjoyed the "full Irish" breakfast and I loved the porridge, fruit and Greek yogurt. one of the surprise highlights for me was the recorded music playing in the living room. James' playlist included James Taylor, Joni Mitchell, the Beatles, and so many of my favorites from the 70's! It really added to the already wonderful atmosphere. James gave us and other guests great suggestions for spectacular places to visit and good directions on how to get there either by foot or by car. The sights to be seen nearby are truly stunning! I'm so glad I read many of the reviews before coming as so many people had said they wished they could've stayed longer. I was so glad that we were able to stay more than one night! I would highly recommend this Airbnb. It was my first experience booking through Airbnb and I was really delighted with the results! One recommendation I have is to add a footstool to the bathroom so a shorter person can look out the skylight at the beautiful countryside. Another suggestion would be to add a hook on the back of the bathroom door for clothes or towel. The two bathrooms were always clean and I only waited a short time once during our stay. My last suggestion would be that a mirror be hung in the dorm (or perhaps in each room) to enable one to use the hairdryer which was so kindly provided for guest use. James is a kind, gracious and charming host and his helpers were equally as kind and friendly. James is a renaissance man of many talents- at one point busy building a new bed to accommodate more guests. I di hope on my next visit I will have the opportunity to hear him play guitar! I heard from my new (Hidden by Airbnb) friends that I missed a truly memorable night of music. Thank you very much, James - you made us feel like family!

  • A great place with plenty of room to relax in by yourself or to socialize. The staff are amazing people, that can also cook you a delicious dinner. Look forward to James' many stories about his travels and the mythical creatures he survived!

  • Nice atmosphere!

    Jacqueline2018-08-25T00:00:00Z
  • I have had a very nice stay in Lus Mor! The place is beautiful, full of light, quiet, there is a fireplace in the living room where you can read a book or have a chat. Every morning you can watch the sunrise on the mountains, eating an amazing breakfast. There is a lot of unforgettable trails and points of view around the house. But most of all James, Mario and Bob do everything to make you feel at home! I highly recommend!

  • We loved our stay on Lus Mor house, although we only stayed 1 night we enjoyed the house and most important Aoife and James hospitality. The location is ideal for hikers only 10 min away from Wicklow way between the mountains and Roundwood village. The quietness of the place make it perfect for a relax experience. The house atmosphere is also relaxing , modern decor and colourful. We arrived late after a long walk and Aoife treated us with hot soup , snacks and wine among other indulgences. Breakfast was amazing, smoothies, orange juice, pancakes, full Irish etc everything home made with a touch of real cooking. Bed was comfortable, the room was warm, bright and perfect size. Home made cookies, fruits and natural flavoured water were waiting for us in the room. Aoife was an amazing host she was checking if we needed anything all the time. We would highly recommend Lus Mor...muchas gracias.

  • Lus Mor is brilliantly situated for exploring this most beautiful area of Ireland. The accomodation is cheerful, cosy, comfortable, clean and well planned! Aoife and James are most wonderful hosts providing great information of the area and made us feel so welcome! I would recommend Los Mur anyday and we will most definitely be back! Thank you!

  • We had an enjoyable stay in Lus Mor in a family room for two nights. Quirky house in the Wicklow hills suited the needs of 2 adults and 2 teenagers. Wonderful views, comfortable beds Breakfast cooked to order. Very good selection, Packed lunches and dinner available on request. Nice areas to sit and relax or converse with other guests Owner very friendly and informative on area. Great Wi-Fi connection appreciated by the teenagers. Background music playlist perfect and the little dog Bob is a sweet cute hound

  • This was my second time staying at James' place and it was just as wonderful as the first time. Would totally recommend staying there if you are hiking or just want to get away. There's good music all day and James is an amazing host, he's very friendly and always there to help out or recommend things to do/see/eat in the area. Will come back again at one point, that's for sure haha! Love from Holland

  • James is a fantastic host with a beautiful home that is basically a home from home. Fantastic place to stay if you want to be in the heart of nature with so much to do from walking down the valley between lough Tay and lough Dan, pubs in round wood and 15 min spin to glendalough. Highly recommend to everyone. By far the best value for money. Thanks James and Sasha (hope I spelt that right ) I Will definitely be back again.

    Alan2017-05-21T00:00:00Z
  • The James' is awesome! There's a lot of attention to the details, like he picked us up at the bus stop to deliver to his place and then took us to the toor around the scenery and shared some tips about his secret places. Inspite the weather was really bad we've enjoyed every minute there. Very atmosferic and welcoming place. Highly recommend.

  • Zoe made me feel at home right away. My family and I joke she was like my second mom here in Greystones, watching out for me :D Her B&B was cozy and quiet and a maximum 10 minute walk to the centre of Greystones where all the action is (near to The Happy Pear café where I spent a lot of time as well as other bars, restaurants, the ocean and the local grocer). Thank you Zoe and Anna for an amazing stay! I'm coming back to visit with my family one day! I can't thank you enough. Glad we had so many laughs right from the get go!

  • How to describe Zoe???? She is a very special woman!! Beautiful, servicial, interesting... delicius!! She was taking care of us and our 10 year old boy at every minute of our stay. The room was bright, confortable and quiet, better than expected. And the breakfast...
