Nice location not far by walk from the historic center. The rooms were really nicely decorated, and the spa is really nice. I recommend!

We enjoyed our stay. We booked this Airbnb last minute and we received a quick response. There's a lot of parking spaces. The rooms are spacious and clean. The jacuzzi and sauna is definitely a great feature. It is close to the city and highway. We were able to see the Northern Lights ten minutes away at the Grotta Lighthouse. Would definitely recommend.

Perfect for our needs. Across the road from BSI bus terminal which is great for airport drop offs and tour pick ups. We got in around 10pm after blue lagoon and had a message with all the details about getting in. Room was super clean and warm. Just what we needed for a night stay.

Simple accommodations for when you just need a place to crash after a day of tours, and right across the street from the main bus terminal which makes tours and airport shuttles very easy.

Perfect location within walking distance of the BSI bus terminal and on the edge of downtown Reykjavik. The hot tub and jacuzzi on the roof make this place stand out, but the rooms were also fantastic - very comfortable beds.

The decoration of the room, such as a light bulb, was stylish and clean. The rooftop bath was comfortable, but the sauna was not very good. He responded sincerely to our selfishness.

A lovely room that is located a 15 minute walk from the center, but also right next to the bus terminal for airport shuttles :) WiFi wasn’t the strongest in the rooms, but it’s not a huge deal. Would recommend.

We spent one night at this spot and enjoyed our stay! The hot tub on the roof was lovely and was a nice addition to the experience. Room was modest in size, but maneuverable for two adults. We stayed nice and cozy in the space and appreciated the towel warmer in the bathroom.

The apartment is in an excellent location for exploring Reykjavík. You are on the main high street with all shops and restaurants which is perfect. We had a lovely stay at the apartment. Very warm which was nice after exploring in the cold all day. Unfortunately we were only able to use the hot tub for one of the nights we stayed due to the frost. Communication with Helga was great but would turn up unannounced at the apartment to explain how to use the hot tub. Also entered the apartment without us there to switch off the hot tub the following day even though Helga showed me how to do this. Felt a little bit pointless being told and shown how to do something and then not being trusted to do so and then entering the apartment without us there to do it herself. Other than that Helga was a friendly host and the apartment is very comfy and cosy. Very stylish and had a lot of amenities to use. Great view out on the balcony and the bed was really comfy. You can see a lot from the back balcony where the hot tub is and is a really nice setting. Entry into the apartment was easy with the lock box etc. Shower took a little while to warm up one evening but we believed that may have been due to the cold weather as it was ok the day before. Hair dryer was available to use and all towels and toiletries were perfect. I would definitely stay here again but maybe in the summer months when the hot tub can be used as this was the main reason I booked the apartment so was a little disappointed we couldn’t use it as much as we wanted. If you’re looking to stay in the middle of the city then this is the perfect location.

LOCATION is everything! This apt was in the heart of Reykjavik!

Comfortable, cozy, spacious and great location - you can basically walk everywhere in Reykjavik. The only disappointment was the hot tub not working when we got there, without previous notice. Helga's husband went to the apartment in our 4th night and fixed it. We were happy we got to use the hot tub at the end of our stay, but I think Helga should let guests know about this issue in advance and make it clear in the listing that the hot tub may not be working due to weather conditions. Other than that, our stay was great and we'd definitely come back!

The apartment is clean, stylish and ideal for anyone visiting Reykjavik. The hot tub was a very welcome addition especially in January during a snow storm. The location is the best thing about this place. It is super central and smack in the middle of everything you want and need. Highly recommended.

Absolutely amazing! Helga is so sweet and responses very promptly. The apartment is sparkling clean and so adorable. We loved the location near all the restaurants and bars. The hot tub was the perfect finishing touch to an amazing vacation. We will be returning for sure!

We saw the northern lights just walking down to the lake next to the Harpa. The apartment was super cozy. We really felt like we were at home. There is also a grocery store walking distance. The studio space was perfect for our visit to Iceland. We were a short drive to downtown Reykjavik and had easy access to sightseeing routes. The accommodation was perfect for us and, in particular, the bed was very comfortable. Thanks for your hospitality.

Stylish studio apartment with all necessities. Siggi was away for travel but was responsive to messages. The hot tub is a lovely perk. Siggi's mum was very kind and let us use the hot tub late at night. We had our own car; lots of room to park and easy to get around. Great pizza at Eldofninn which isn't far from the house! We thoroughly enjoyed our stay!

It is a very clean and cosy studio. The location is great and the use of a garden in the sunny weather was a complete bonus. Friendly welcome from Aslaug and the bed was super comfy too. Loved our stay.

Siggi was an amazing host & his property was a pleasure to stay in. Great location and his recommendation list was very helpful & anything we needed we had a quick response from Siggi or his mother. The apartment had black out blinds, tea, coffee etc and Siggi filled the hottub when we asked which was a lovely way to warm up after a long day out!We loved our trip to Iceland & cant wait to go back! AEgir’s place was in a great location, 5 minute walk into town. The apartment was so clean and the bed was very comfortable. Under floor heating too, which is a nice addition to have after exploring in the cold all day! Check in and check out was ideal as it was self check in so we weren’t restricted to meet at certain times. Would highly recommend AEgir’s place to stay if you are travelling to Reykjavik’

As a family of 3 we had a fantastic stay in Unnur’s apartment. The apartment itself is on the top floor of a building, which has fantastic panoramic views to wake up too. We even faintly seen the northern lights one evening. The space is large and easy to heat with well placed radiators, (helpful coming in from the cold). I will be recommending Unnur’s apartment to friends and family travelling to Iceland in the future. Thanks Unnur :)

This house is much better than expected. It was originally a house that was over-visited on the first day. I later found that the house was clean. Although it was simple, the house was very warm. Super large balcony, the heating in the house is also very warm. There is ample parking space next to the house, and although the weather for the two days we stayed was very bad, we were very satisfied with the accommodation! It's about a kilometer drive to the city. The traffic is very convenient. There are also big supermarkets nearby. We bought a lot of delicious things and everything was very satisfactory!

It is convenient to cook because it has a separate kitchen. I'm sorry that the stove is often down.

This is a fantastic apartment. Great views of the hills and city and super-convenient for traveling, especially if you have a hire car. Unnur have good advice on local amenities, places to see and things to do, and was very responsive to emails and messages we sent after arriving. Comfortable bedrooms for all guests and the flat is very modern and clean. Highly recommended for groups of 4 to 6 people.

Most amazing air bnb we have ever stayed in, the hospitality was above and beyond, the apartment was Immaculate and very homely. The location is amazing for being in nature and so close to the beach but still easy to get into Reykjavík even without a car. We would recommend this to anyone going to Iceland.

We loved our stay! The location was great for everything we wanted to see. We were here for NYE and got an awesome view of the fireworks around the neighborhood and throughout the skyline of Reykjavík. The kitchen was a big plus as were able to make breakfast and pack food to bring on our road trips. Frida was a great host and answered all of our questions and gave us great recommendations. We will definitely stay here again next time we return!

Fríður's accommodation is in every way a fantastic place. The view of the mountains and water is incredibly beautiful, the accommodation is really, really cozy, warm, clean, decorated with beautiful colors, informative signs and brochures - and well-functioning kitchen. Lovely quiet surroundings - and parking space right at the house. Both of my adult children and I have felt very, very fortunate to rent us here - and have had 4 wonderful, unforgettable Christmas holidays. We would very, very much like to come back another time :)

It was a very quiet and comfortable home. The bath is also made up to the shoulder. In front of you is a park where children can play. The seaside and the mountain view are amazing. We were also able to get travel plan consultations and responded to any shortcomings as soon as possible.

Stove (2 plates), oven / hob, toaster, kettle, even a sofa in the DELUXE Room. Shower bath, shampoo, conditioner and hairdryer including bed linen and towels are available. Pure enthusiasm, the double bed is extremely comfortable! A successful conclusion in Iceland and 10 out of 10 Points

Our stay at Guðlaug's house was such a comfort. We were so impressed with how clean everything was, and the system she has set up with the dishes. It is a simple place, not for if you are needing to cook anything complicated or lounge outside the bedroom in the cooler months, but it is a very very good and well-run place, with a company of friendly hosts (her cats are beautiful and equally as kind) and lots of peace and quiet. A great location, too!

A little on the small side but perfect for a 1 night stop on the way to Snæfellsnes. Quiet neighborhood and clean room/bathroom. I appreciated the coffee, tea, and small fruit assortment even though breakfast was not officially included.

Very wonderful warm cozy place by the ocean

The freedom you feel when using the camper is formidable. However we had bad luck with very adverse weather conditions, added to our lack of experience driving in this type of difficulties, we were forced to advance the delivery of the vehicle in order to protect our health. The owner gave us a lot of support when making this decision and we were able to make an early return without inconvenience.

The camper van was nice, comfortable, spacious to get a good night sleep. Everything in there is more that enough to go camping. Warm atmosphere. I would definitely recommend it! We loved the experience!

Vilmundur did a good job to meet our expectations. He is a nice guy. The van was good and clean. Just pay attention to where you want to sleep because in Iceland there are many places where you can not camp with a van. but you can sleep on a shop car park, just be respectful of the place. Last advice. if you want to contact Vilmundur, dot it by facebook if you want a quick answer.

What a wonderful place! Centrally located, easy parking, easy to get to, everything a solo traveler or couple needs to have a great stay. Asdis was kind enough to let me stay an extra night at very short notice after my flight was cancelled due to the corona virus outbreak. I can't wait to come back to Iceland and hopefully stay here again.

This is such a cozy space that has everything that I could have possibly needed. The kitchen is an great part, plus a private bathroom and shower. The hosts are very nice.

The Blue House, is a beautiful little spot in Reykjavik. I actually sat on the bed and it broke! as I suspect it was broken by a previous guest. But Zeno was very understanding and took my word for it! Definitely check out the Blue House if you're in Reykjavik.

Great experience. Wonderful breakfast, which is very helpful as food in Iceland is quite expensive. Room was clean and tidy. A fairly easy and regular 10 minute bus ride from city center. Would recommend to others.

Our stay was great. She was very welcoming and the apartment was cozy and clean with great views. Our host made sure we had everything we needed and was always available if we needed her. There wasn't much around and required about a 20 minute drive to go to the shops but I liked that. Not amazing cooking facilities but enough. I would still recommend here.

Wonderful value, it was convenient having a kitchen and a luggage room to store your stuff after you check out. Clean space, quiet and the rooms were very warm, with a comfy mattress! It's also near a pool that closes late which was a bonus. The walk to the city centre took me about 35-35min, but not bad at all. Would definitely stay again!

I loved my stay at The City hostel as it had more than the others (like towel and hair dryer). Very very very clean and wonderful staff. And so close to sea so you can go for walks and walk towards the city center with a spectacular view on the mount Esja!

Grétar's place is lovely. The cottage is small and cozy with a bit of an ocean view. The beds behind the curtains are really cozy and the bathroom is super nice as well. Great place to relax and hang out. The dogs are super cute, just watch out for them when you enter or leave the property. The cottage is quiet and it is easy to get there. Perfect place to start a trip to Snæfellsnes National Park. Grétar gave us a very warm welcome and the check-in process was quick and easy. Hygge place with a view - highly recommend!

Maria’s place was great. Lots of parking outside the apartment and a short drive to all the main attractions in Reykjavik. Also close to a bonus supermarket which we found to be cheaper than back home in the UK (on par with Aldi and Lidl) the kitchen facilities were great and the place was warm.

Maria's place was in a perfect location--it was a quiet residential area that was easily walkable to lots of shops and restaurants. The apartment was clean and in good condition and Maria was responsive and helpful.

Inga is really nice and good service. Although the room is a bit smaller, there is a kitchen available and the equipment is quite complete.

I could not have picked a better place to stay for my first and last night in Iceland. Inga is an incredible host. She opened her entire home to strangers and the location is ideal, about 20 minutes outside of the Reykjavík downtown core. She was very sweet and we had many laughs during our conversations. I felt truly like I was staying in a home. The handover was easy and her communication was amazing. I look forward to staying here again on my next trip to Iceland! Until then Inga :)

The hostel was great! In the female only dorm everyone was very respectful of sharing the bathroom, turning out the lights, and being quiet. The kitchen amenities and washing machine were great. The wifi worked well. It was clean. The staff were really friendly and helpful. Overall--no major complaints!

This place is so unique. Right at the edge of the ocean, completely isolated. Breathtaking views. We enjoyed waking up and drinking our coffee and watching the oceans waves and birds. Perfect for experiencing the stunning and dramatic Icelandic nature. The airbnb had everything we needed and was very clean.

Just one word: amazing! Beautiful sunsets, seals around the house and the wind as the only sound surrounding you. 100%recommended!

Phenomenal! I honestly can't recommend this place enough! The location was absolutely beautiful, somehow even better than the pictures portrayed. The house itself was modern, clean, cosy, very comfortable and well equiped with kitchen utensils and a TV with Chromecast. We briefly met our host at check-in after we arrived earlier than planned, and he was so accommodating and lovely. We saw a lot of stunning sights on our trip, but staying here was genuinely one of the highlights. Do yourself a favor and book a stay, you won't regret it.

A great little house in a spectacular location. Sea views from all sides, so that you can observe the nature of Iceland directly from the window and experience it in front of the door. We had wind and snowfall. The house is very nicely furnished and we felt very comfortable. Everyone is totally enthusiastic and would be happy to recommend Sigrún's house.

The house by the sea is AMAZING! My family and I enjoyed staying here very much! The location is very private and we were able to get some much-needed rest and relaxation in without anyone around us. I really liked the fact that you had to drive far into the property to get to the house - we were isolated but in a good way!!! Exactly what we were looking for. The scenery is amazing and we were able to see seals right in the backyard all 3 mornings that we were there. My 8-year-old daughter truly enjoyed this, as well as walking along the beach areas looking for shells. I enjoyed having my morning coffee and looking out at the stunning scenery of the fjord and mountains. Sunrises and sunsets were beautiful. The house itself has been restored in such a beautiful way; the updates were great! It was immaculately clean and we had everything we needed there. Sigrun and her husband made us feel totally welcome and answered any questions we had very quickly which was very helpful. We also got to meet and interact with the horses on the farm. We will definitely return to this house by the sea!!!

This is a 6 stars house. May be the best house where I ever been. Everything was quite perfect. Sigrún gave us a lot of useful informations (and some toys for our kid). The house was super-clean and very well equipped. The position is really unique. You are in the middle of nowhere, in a place perfect to see the northern lights (and actually we did!). If you are planning to stay in this area you can't really miss a couple of nights in this house. Thanks you Sigrún for this beautiful experience!

Sigrún's house is utterly stunning. There're thoughtful touches all over, and she took the time to send us a message when the seals were on the island. We got to see the Northern Lights on our very first night in Iceland, and within three hours of arriving. I couldn't recommend Sigrún's place highly enough. Oh yeah - a real coffee machine too!

Amazing place, away from everything but still not a long drive to Reykjavik and Akranes. The hot pool at Akranes is a hidden gem and really worth a visit. We saw the seals around the house almost every day.

Great place, superb host. It’s a bit outside of town, but the number 6 bus gets you downtown and back super easily. The bus stop is just around the corner! If you don’t mind walking 10 minutes, there’s a grocery store open until midnight and a few food options as well.

Nice flat in the surrounding of Reykjavík. You need the bus to get into the city. Nice room. There is even a piano but I don’t know if the neighbors like it .....

I stayed at the property for two nights, the location is really good, walking distance to the supermarkets and very close to the water. Very hospitable and pleasant to stay.

I am happy with my stay at Kex, which from the point of view of quality and price seems unbeatable. The place is very well placed and all tour companies know and drop us off willingly. The place is beautiful and warm. BUT there is a lot of noise in the evening from 9 p.m. to 12 a.m. due to the evenings on the first floor. Once we know that, we abstain if it doesn't suit us or not.

I stayed for 6nights. There are 14guests in my room. Although, the room is big, so I was satisfied. Kitchen space is awesome. You can cook some food which left by someone.

First stay in a hostel. Cool atmosphere, friendly staff, food and drink lounge area. Price was a great value and each floor has a kitchen. The clientele mix was a nice mix people from cultures all around the world. Views were amazing and location is near everything that is going on including transportation.

Good for single traveller to save money in Iceland.

I only stayed for one day, but it was a good stay.The free food is so kind. It was a one night stay but it was very good. It was good that the materials that could not be used by the stayers could be used free of charge. However, the sound of the bar sounded quite a bit at night, so if you are worried, you may want to stop it.

I feel so fortunate to book my stay at the Kex hostel. The staff are FANTASTIC and SO HELPFUL. The facilities are all you need and the hostel has a great ambience and is in a perfect location. Amazing place to stay in Reykjavik, great value for money. Kitchen in the room was very well equipped, nice view towards Esja mountain from the hotel. Highly recommend!

Spacious room with neat decoration, and well equipped. The hotel is close to the center of Reyklavik, entry was simple and communication with Kathy excellent, I recommend!

The room is clean and stylish. Exactly same as pictures. Little bit away from the city centre but easy to get every attractions.
