Opera House
“This glorious neoclassical centrepiece of Hanoi's French Quarter is unmissable with its Gothic pillars and domes. The French-colonial 900-seat venue was built in 1911. On 16 August 1945 the Viet Minh–run Citizens’ Committee announced that it had taken over the city from a balcony on this building. For some drama today, book ahead for a performance here, even if just to experience the grand interior. Most weekends you’ll see Hanoi wedding couples getting photographed on the elegant front steps.”

Entertainment
“One of the most famous destination in Hanoi. An opera theater has been built by French more than 100 years ago. After many times of restoration, it's still possible to keep its unique French architecture style. A recommended place when you get around of Hanoi.”

Jazz Club
$$
“Binh Minh’s Jazz Club is a legendary nightlife spot in Hanoi Old Quarter, where jazz fans can catch live performances by some of the finest musicians in the city. Owned by pioneer Vietnamese jazz artiste Quyen Van Minh, the establishment features minimal décor, cosy seating, efficient service, and an extensive food-and-beverages menu. Open all day, patrons can enjoy an impressive line-up of local and international acts performing between 21:00 and 23:30 every night. Do note that drinks at Minh’s Jazz Club are not cheap, but when you factor in the quality of the live entertainment and lack of cover charge, prices are more than fair. Opening Hours: Daily 08:00 – 24:00 Address: 1 Trang Tien Street, French Quarter, Hoan Kiem District, Hanoi Tel: +84 43 942 0400 ”

“My favorite corner for ramen. It is located near the Opera house. The food selection is great for lunch. The portion is huge, full of meat and veggies. The egg is perfectly cooked and marinated bringing the aromatic flavor at first bite.”
