“This is a once in a lifetime experience for excellent fish and beautiful views. It is on the pricier side and a long drive. And reservations are recommended "well in advance" but worth the visit. ”

American Restaurant

“Actually not my favorite, but lots of people love it. It is very close to the cottage, offers fresh baked goods, breakfast sandwiches, plate lunches, salads and more. The layout is awful, you have to wait in line to order while people have to squeeze by you to get into the shop to get their drinks and other items before squeezing back past you to get to the back of the line. Still it is like a right of passage on the North Shore and their malsadas are delicious.”

Food Truck

“The most famous shrimp truck on the North Shore, originally launched out of a converted bread truck more than 20 years ago. Now that's some staying power. Will it be garlic shrimp today drenched in butter, shrimp scampi, or perhaps we're feeling a little braver and will have the no refunds, hot and spicy shrimp plate!”

“Buzz Lanikai is a great place to eat after a long day at the beach. It is directly across from Kailua Beach Park. It's a little place, However, the food is quite good and the staff is awesome. You can meet many Kailua and Lanikai locals here. If you like ice cream pies, they are very good. Parking is very limited in their lot, but there is ample parking across the street at the Beach Park. (Don't leave valuables in your car.)”

“This Restaurant is set in the most idyllic jungle gardens you can imagine. The food is decent and the ambience is spectacular. You have to eat here at least once. Go before dark to walk the gardens. It is an awesome place for wedding. They have a perfect little chapel. It is located at Kaiku Gardens at 46-336 Haiku Rd in Kaneohe.”
