“Dyck Arboretum is a 13-acre botanical garden in nearby Hesston that features wildflowers of the Great Plains. It features more than 1,000 varieties of native and adaptable trees, shrubs, wildflowers and grasses. The gardens are open 7 days a week from sunrise to sunset. A visitor center is open from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. weekdays and 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturdays (May 1-Oct. 15). Pets are welcome, but owners must clean up after them. Admission is $2 for adults and teens and $1 for children under 12.The arboretum is located at 177 W. Hickory St. in Hesston. ”
