“This is a stylish pub, with a cosy Urchin and a nautical theme, with dark grey walls, lengths of rope, and dim lighting. The seafood is some of the best catch from Brighton’s coastline, all freshly cooked in the kitchen. The menu is simple, and written on blackboards in the pub. You’ll find a good range of fish on the menu such as crab cakes, scallops, prawns, and lobster. ”

“On the 5B bus route towards Hove, serves good Thai food but I'm really recommending it for its jazzy upstairs 1920s-themed Speakeasy Bar, which is open on Friday and Saturday nights.”

“With an air of a 1920 prohibition den, the Gin Tub Hove is one of Hove’s newest bars and is quickly making a name for itself as the cosiest drinking spot in town - The only phone you’ll need at the Gin Tub will be the one on your table to ring in your order at the bar! With over 60 gins behind the bar the choice seems endless, they even offer boards which comes with 3 measures of gin, 3 tonics, 3 botanicals and 3 nibbles to compliment the gins. ”

“The Bee’s Mouth has a quirky, vibrant atmosphere. Located on Western Road, this pub specialises in craft beers from Belgium and is a great place if you’re looking for something a bit different. The inside of the Bee’s Mouth adds to its exciting atmosphere, with soft lighting and candles and incense wherever you look. A popular destination in Hove, the Bee’s Mouth is a great musical venue, with live music weekly from jazz to rock. You’ll also find open mic nights, life drawing classes, and film showings.”

“At this tastefully decorated and relaxed venue, everything is local, everything is organic and that is why they are winning local awards, national recommendations and amazing reviews. Their local ale is of course the award winning Harveys Best Bitter from Lewes, then for the more discerning palette they have a good wine menu featuring new world wines as well as a few of the classics.”

“This is a little gem. The staff are great and offer a lovely selection of food and drink. Recently changed ownership and the team are making a fantastic effort to make this a place for a regular weekday visit or a superb weekend venue, The space is split between a formal dining and informal bar area - both would exceptionally well. It gets busy, but that just adds to the atmosphere. Its a great place to have a drink, something to eat and relax. If you are looking for somewhere in Hove - give this bar a try its well worth the visit. ”
