Very much enjoyed my (too short) stay. A rustic getaway with all modern conveniences, in a rural setting, yet only a short bike ride to the charming city of IJsselstein. The bus stop with transportation to the train stations in Utrecht (20 minutes) and Gouda (a gorgeous 40-minute ride through the “polders”) is right on the corner. Karen and Kees are very helpful hosts and have paid attention to all the little things that make one feel at home in their lovely cottage. Bicycles are free to use for exploring the beautiful surroundings. Highly recommended!

Very nice accommodation, wood stove was ready to be lit, along with a bottle of wine! What else do you want! Beautiful garden and very hospitable people! Recommended!

The barnhouse is very cozy and comfortable. I especially like the kitchen and living room. I can imagine that it is wonderful in the summer, when you can leave open the front door and sit on the terrace. The area is quiet and offers a touch of the countryside although it is quite in the middle of several cities and motorways. The old centre of Ijselstein is in walking distance. I was heartly welcomed and supported.

Kees's place is a paradise on Earth - Beautiful, peaceful and uplifting. It was a much needed getaway from Amsterdam. The place looks rustic, but it has all the amenities that you may need, including two bicycles. The hosts live nearby, but we had full privacy. Kees and Karen were extremely helpful, but non-intrusive. There's a small shopping area, including few cafes, 5 minutes ride from the place. The area is beautiful. We're definitely coming back!

Kees is a perfect host, very good communication and flexible arrangements. The cottage is very cozy, spacious, clean, and nicely decorated. The space outside to sit came in handy with the weather. To top it off we got a bottle of wine and two fresh eggs (from their own chicken) gift! Therefore recommended.

Very wonderful host.. Helped us in a matter of minutes after our original host bailed us. The home is very glamorous and there are all amenities available, the location is close to the tram which takes you to center of utrecht in 30 minutes, the is a local mall near apartment with grocery store and some delis. If we go to utrecht again we will stay here

Beautifully maintained home with all comforts. The pictures on the website give perfect weather what to expect. Recommended! Easily accessible both by car and public transport. With a large well-stocked supermarket just a few meters away.

Wonderful house: clean, big and comfortable. Teresa is very friendly and she gives you all the necessary infos. Moreover, the house is situated in a really calm and pretty village in the middle of the dutch countryside.

It was a very pleasant experience. A very cozy house with plenty of space for six people to stay. Our host was really accommodating, giving us plenty of direction and help. We loved the charm of the city and we enjoyed that there were two bathrooms in the house.

The stay has been fantastic. The house is very nice. The patio is great for warm weather meals. This in a quiet place. With services next. The city of Utrecht is very close with very good transport links across the country. Thanks for everything, Teresa and Ronald.

James was very accommodating. He's very flexible with regards to check in times. The first day of my trip, I wasn't able to get hold of James straight away, so I decided to postpone my stay. James was very kind to reimburse me for that first night. Booked a room to stay in the single bedroom, but was pleasantly surprised I got to stay in the down-stairs apartment which was converted from a garage. Basically, an entire home, with a bedroom featuring a double bed, a large living with a small dining room table, a couch, and a television, a small fridge, and a kitchen without a stove, a toilet, a bathroom featuring a shower. There's an option to rent a cooking unit for 5 EUR a day, but I decided to eat out. There's free WIFI in the house, with fair connectivity. The neighborhood is quiet and the location is a 9 minute walk from the nearest tram stop which takes you straight into Utrecht. I didn't see much of James during my stay and we communicated mainly through text messages. Summarizing: - Good value for money - Nice home in a quiet area - Accommodating host, who lives above the house, but who you rarely see during your stay

Thanks, James: I had exactly what I needed for my three day intensive course at the NBC in Nieuwegein. A nice and comfortable bed, a good shower in the morning and a good tram connection to the NBC. Also a little walking so I would have some fresh air and exercise after a long day of learning (10.00 to 19.00)

Our first experience with air b & b was unforgettable. Our hostess Ingrid was wonderful, extremely helpful and attentive to our needs (traveling with an infant) offering us the perfect welcome and making us feel "at home". The house was as per announcement, beautiful and well maintained, very comfortable and equipped for every need. The small town of Ijsselstein, very quaint and picturesque, turned out to be really a strategic point being close to all the major cities that are worth a visit and they were half of our vacation. Ultimately an experience not to be repeated.

Lisette is a lovely hostess and was very helpful. She checked several times during my stay if I needed anything. I thought it was a good mattress to sleep on and have therefore able to rest well. Nice quiet neighborhood with several supermarkets within a short distance and parking (almost) at the door.

I got to experience how to make traditional chicken in preparation for a party. Lisette is very passionate about cooking and talking food. Top to stay here.

Lisette us and friendly host. Cozy residence had to Lisette. Clean room, spacious enough and equipped with tea and coffee facilities. The bathroom is shared but nice and clean. If I still have to mention a minus is that on Sunday morning the bathroom was very cold and showering was an arctic experience. Should add that it was minus 6 outside.

Lisette is sympathetic and caring. The attic is well equipped, I've had a quiet and pleasant stay.

Just returned from a three-day course at 5HART IT Training in Nieuwegein, this two nights allowed to stay with Lisette. Room completely in the attic, nice and quiet and private. Besides the sleeping capacity, there was still plenty of room to work / eat at the desk. Received upon entering a key and was therefore completely independent. At the beginning we made clear agreements about the shower so we each other in the morning would not be in the way, the last night anything agreements concerning the departure, further Lisette I have not actually seen or heard. If I still had to name a downside, then kept the thickness / quality of the mattress, for someone of my frame (120 kg), do not have. Noticed after two nights I had still had something bothering you. All in all a good place to stay, privacy and complete freedom, in my next course I'll definitely be back again.

Lisette is a nice hostess, nice reception, clear explanations about everything. I slept one night at Lisette, and that was quite fine. Good bed, nice room, nice reception. I like to come back again if I have to be Nieuwegein.

All in all it was a wonderful place to stay. We had a great time in a wonderful house where we could reach everything easily by car or public transport (for example a supermarket which is also reachable by walking). Furthermore the host is very courteous and nice and it was always easy to contact her. The place is in a very nice neighbourhood and I would recommend it to everybody who wants to visit the netherlands.

Yvonne was a super friendly hostess and has us set up very comfortably. An excellent hostess, I would recommend wholeheartedly.

A super charming cottage on the outskirts of Utrecht with a very gracious hostess. Yvonne welcome you into her home and is always available for tips, or if there are problems. The house itself is ideal as a base for exploring Utrecht or continue as the Hoge Veluwe. Everything is provided, pots, pans, spices, etc. Yvonne loves cats, so keep in mind that the animals there have always been and you have to give them food.

Yvonne was a very welcoming host who took the time to show us his beautiful house, which has been concerned every detail for our stay. His house is ideally located in a very quiet area, close to shops open up to 22 hours and 20 minutes by bike from the city center of Utrecht. Three cats are very cuddly and quickly adopted us.

Accommodation was very good, parking space in front of the house were very friendly and keys and release at the end were very straightforward.

The shower broke and she did her best to fix it for us but it will need a more permanent fix. The layout of the house was great and very well equipped. |Overall Yvonne was most attentive and we thank her for her hospitality, would definitely stay again when in Utrecht.

Yvonne's place is great as a base for exploring the various parts of the Netherlands by car & public transport (P&R Breukelen) for a few days The house is a cosy modern suburban row house, with a large backyard. The place is well kept and in a quiet residential area, there is a supermarket nearby. As long as you don't mind taken the responsibility of feeding and looking after her three cats and don't mind pictures, mainly of Queen Maxima, everywhere throughout the house, you will surely like this place.

Hi everyone, spent a week in the house and it was wonderful. First I got into a traffic jam and it was no problem at all to change the ETA. When we got there we found a really nice explanation of all the benefits in the house, about the Public transportation and even a little history of the lovely Family that owns the house. It is very cosy and quite in a beautiful neighborhood. The bus station is barely 4 Minutes (On foot!) from the house and the bus just need 15 Minutes to get into Utrecht downtown. first supermarket in 3 Minutes and even another one in 4 minutes. You can rich the gas station in about 2 Minutes. Some Food places in a 5 Minutes radius. You find a very clean and well equipped house. Everything that you need in the kitchen and of laundry. Very cosy backyard for kids and grown ups. Lets not forget the Wi-Fi that took about 10 devices at the same time with no problems. And really nice neighbors. They even borrowed us stuff that we need. All in in All 10/10 points.

Living in this house during our stay in the Netherlands was a great pleasure for us. We had all we needed, every child had his own nice and cozy room and the central living room with its household served as a great family place. The companion little backyard with a swing, some bikes and a wood table was a nice resting and eating point and great point for the children to play. The neighborhood is quite with very nice people around, and the atmosphere is very welcoming. The house is located in the centre of Netherlands, making it a very good base for travelling. Note that the only bathroom is located in a different floor than the bedrooms. This might be less convenient if staying here with small children. Also, note that 'dryer' is not an 'electric dryer', rather a wires based dryer located on a column in the backyard, making the issue of drying more complex in case of rain. Yet, this does not decrease the level of enjoyment from this great place, with a very responsive host, and with a very nice neighbor who gave us the keys in the absence of Irma, and supplied us with all we needed while staying there. To summarize in short, in case we come back to Netherlands for more travelling, we will not hesitate and come back to this place.

I'm 4 weeks in this cottage. Glenn is someone who if you have exactly what joins a question or comment, all top! The cottage is small, and given the steep staircase definitely not suitable for children. Furthermore, fully equipped, there is even a dishwasher you would not expect for the price. Kitchen also well equipped with (in my case) a lot of new stuff. Highly recommended for those seeking peace, or just want to throw out a line.

Everything was fine and as described! Communication with Roy was very easy and helpful. Unfortunately we did not meet him. I will gladly recommend it!

Staying at Roy's place was very nice. I stayed there for 2,5 month. Roy is really open and also willing to help you getting around. The room and bathroom (own shower + toilet) is located on the top-floor of the house, which means that you have a nice view out of the window to both sides. The room itself was clean, very nicely arranged and offered also enough space for private stuff (two large wardrobes). The kitchen is shared, which was never a problem, because it is really big and equips everything you need for cooking or even baking. Sometimes Roy also cooked something for his guests, what I personally highly appreciated and think this makes him special as a very kind and courteous host. Furthermore, it is a very nice place to stay when you want to visit Utrecht. Either you go by bike within 10-15 minutes to the city centre or use the public transport (bus or tram), which were both just around the corner. Or you can also have a nice walk directly next to a channel into the city centre within just 30-35 minutes. All in all I really enjoyed my stay and can definitely recommend Roy’s place for both: a short-term stay just to explore Utrecht for a weekend and also for a long-term stay. Thank you for everything and hope to see you (and Jane) again! :D

It was a very pleasant stay. Everything tidy and the location was perfect for me! I would stay there again and recommend it to everyone.

Roy's house is located in a very good area in Utrecht. It is in a calm street, 3 mins walking to the bus stop, 7 mins walking to the tram stop, and 10 mins bike to the central train station. It is therefore very easy to get to the center of Utrecht. The room itself is exactly as shown on the pictures. It is very bright and spacious. The bathroom also has the perfect size. Everything is very clean. Also the kitchen is big and clean and has everything you need. Roy is very friendly and helpful with everything. I recommend this place for everybody who is planning to stay in Utrecht, whether just for some days or for a longer stay.

This is a really good place! The room is light-flooded and cozy, everything is clean and it`s really easy to feel like at home! We stayed with 2 persons for 6 weeks and I don`t think we could have found a better place in Utrecht. Roy is super-helpful and a really nice & uncomplicated person. By bike, you can reach the city center in 10-15min and the University in about 30min.

Nice apartment to stay.

The big room was under a roof and the amazing view at the balcony was unbelieveable, the most at night! :) the room is really near to the central station and there are many good restaurants! Roy is a really good guy who helps you with everything :)

Dennis is a very nice host. I really enjoyed my stay and the conversations with him.

Dennis was an excellent host. He made us feel very welcome. One point I really appreciated is that he gave us a personal list with all his favourite restaurants in the neighbourhood. Plus, the local beers he gave us as a welcome drink, were very nice.

A great place, nearby CS and the downtown area. Dennis is a super friendly and generous host with a great flexibility. A welcoming map, chat and beer are just a few of his good vibes. Location: literally less than a 15 minute walk from CS and downtown. Less than a minute from supermarket and eatery. More restaurants within 10 minutes. Space is a shared house in a quiet area. Two rooms of which one is a bedroom and the other a room with a table and two chairs. Wifi here is not strong. Closets and clean linen. Kitchen has possibilities for cooking, has a dishwasher, coffee machine and water boiler. living room with strong wifi is shared and host will share as much as he could. Bathroom is small but adequate for a shower or rinse. Toilet is clean. Garden is pretty but too cold to have visited now. As said before the host will share info about the whereabouts of bars and restaurants and will be flexible with his and your schedule. Great place and I would come back for sure. No bads about him or the space.

The Dennis has really everything we made, so my friend and I feel right at home with him. Our room was very nicely decorated, very bright and clean. The whole house is furnished with style and comfort, the garden is beautiful and it is certainly very tasty bbq in the summer there, drinking a morning coffee or an evening wine. Dennis told us what we should definitely visit in Utrecht, the best restaurants and bars shown! He knows very well, so if anyone is in Utrecht and want good eat / drink, asks Dennis! Morning of Dennis offered us a very good coffee, and a homemade smoothie, what we both just found great :) The area where the apartment is, is very quiet and nice. There are supermarkets, restaurants, bars nearby, and the train station is also easily accessible by foot. Thank you for the wonderful weekend!

Het huis is zeer ruim en gunstig gelegen (toegangsweg en bus) De omgeving is rustig en ontspannend. We hadden een geweldig verblijf in dit prachtige moderne woning en hebben alle gemakken te verwachten. Tot slot, de handel met Pieternel vóór en tijdens het verblijf waren zeer hartelijk en warm. Het bleek attent op onze welzijn en beschikbaar zijn om vragen, met inbegrip van die verder gaan dan de behuizing te beantwoorden. Voor deze eerste Airbnb ervaring, waren we erg blij met onze keuze en raden gastheer reizigers die willen comfortabel verblijf in deze regio.

Nous avons passé un excellent séjour à Utrecht chez Pieternel. La maison est très agréable. Elle est moderne, spacieuse et très lumineuse. Seul chose qu'il a pu nous manquer, c'est un grille pain, des couettes supplémentaires sur les lits, et la TV en français :-). Sinon Pieternel est très agréable et disponible.
