“The Island's most hip restaurant on the west side of the Island. Go there for the amazing sunsets and seafood. The restaurant has a boat to collect sailors coming from Lymington and a shuttle to collect Londoners arriving in Yarmouth! It is expensive and so popular you need to book well in advance in the peak season.”

“Best for – local produce gastro food. Hands down the best relaxed dining on the island. The menu changes daily depending on what has been caught, foraged or hunted. Worth making a second visit for their Sunday lunches. Booking recommended. Dog friendly. ”

“For something a bit more special, this place has a wonderful location and delicious seasonal food looking onto Appley beach. If it's warm enough, try asking for a table out on the balcony to make the most of the views. The restaurant is a leisurely (albeit 30 minute) walk along the beach from the cottage. ”

Italian Restaurant

“Bonchurch Inn is quirky, no frills but the Italian food served is the best on the Island having been prepared by the family owners. I recommend the Spinach Canneloni with a good bottle of red wine. Friendly welcome, Courage beer in kegs behind the bar, a few locals-reserve a table in the main bar. Not suitable for very young children although in the Summer months you can sit outside comfortably for lunchtimes.”
