“We bring all our friends here! It’s a 30 minute drive along river road to the coast, offering fantastic views of the river along the way! Cafe aquatica is on the Russian River estuary, so often there are seals swimming around and wonderful bird life to see. Once you have filled your belly at cafe aquatica, it’s time to venture up or down the coast for a stunningly beautiful beach day! ”

“Yes they filmed "The Goonies" here!! My favorite drive up the hill and come around the corner for a "wow" view of the rugged coastline. Park at the bluff lot for a vigorous swithback hike down to lovely Blind Beach. This is also where the Kortum Trail begins by heading south on the bluff. Or keep driving and park in one of the lower lots for easier access to Blind Beach and Goat Rock Beach. Park in the north lot for a hike over to the Russian River mouth where you can usually observe large groups of seals and other wildlife, a magical place where waters converge. ”

“Jenner Beach has Kayak rentals and little food places. If you go to Goat Rock, just up the road, you will find park parking and possibly a 'walk' if on a crowded day. Usually there are seals and their pups in a small area at the north end of the beach. There usually are Dossiers there to answer questions and steer you away from getting too close to the seals. ”

“New owners recently took over the Jenner Inn and opened a new restaurant and bar. It's just down the hill, and open for lunch and dinner. We like it.”

“This is a thick and burly beach break just south of the town of Jenner. Blind Beach is a somewhat protected beach break guarded by large rock outcroppings. This beach can capture large swell from virtually any direction. Blind Beach can hold overhead swell and produce a heavy wave with fast barrels. As a result, this isn’t a very good break for novice surfers.”

“This place is radical. Tasty wholesome buffet, always different. Pay what you wish! Engage in thought provoking conversation or just take in the bucolic view of the Russian River while enjoying food that reminds you of your immigrant grandma's natural home cooking. ”

“Kayak rentals are offered in Jenner (by the gas station) through WaterTreks Eco Tours or Lotus Kayaks. You can rent by the hour. If you’ve brought your own kayaks, launch from the ramp right by the State Park office. ”

“Jenner is a button town over looking the estuary, where the river meets the sea. There is a visitors center, cafe and restaurant. Ocean beach access is nearby”

“The most beautiful things from all over the world. A one-of-a-kind fair trade bag made by women from a tiny village in Guatemala. Stunning $15 Nepalese turquoise earrings. Everything's unique.”

“Penny Island was once home to a cattle ranch, serviced by a small barge that shuttled livestock across the river. Now you can grab a kayak and paddle across to explore the little island in the river as it lagoons just before it hits the Pacific.”
