The Shed at Cozy Bnd is new, will accomodate 2 adults, quiet and cozy. Located just West of Larrabee's Building Supply in West Danville, VT. The Lamoille Valley Rail Trail is located directly behind the property for 4 seasons of recreation. This is a great trail, free for all to walk, hike, bike, ski, snowshoe and snowmobile. Centrally located in Northern VT, Burke Mountain, Jay Peak, Stowe are all very accessible from here for a day trip or dining. We look forward to meeting you soon.
Located on 3 acres in Northern VT we can only see the outlines of the 3 or so houses in our area. No doubt you will see some of our wildlife from the porch.
  • Julie is an outstanding host, she let us use her oven to cook our dinner. Winnie loves playing fetch in the snow!

  • Julies place is exactly what it looks like! Relaxing, cozy, peaceful, you name it! It’s clean, affordable and the perfect little get away!

  • Julie's little house is a well designed and comfortable place to sleep. We loved the colors she has choose and her thoughtful touches. Julie is a warm and friendly host, and made sure we were happily settled in. The house is easy to find in a very convenient location off of RT.2. Her place was quiet and our surprise bonus was the stunning beauty of the stars and night sky as we lie in bed. We felt like we could almost touch the stars overhead.

  • The WiFi is bad, 1Mb/s down and up but it’s usable for basic browsing. The kitchen and living room area were nice but be warned that there is no TV here! This does have the upside of making everyone staying help cook, clean, and truly enjoy each other’s company while being mostly unplugged. The value of this place is also fantastic. The downside is it’s far from many areas you may want to go in Vermont with the upside being it’s very quiet and scenic.

  • Wonderful spot! Easy to find and great location. Small and simple.

  • Ceilidh's place is gorgeous and bright, with stunning windows and an open feel, even in winter. We have visited twice now and would come back again. Fresh eggs and seasonal maple syrup from the backyard were also a nice touch.

    Nicholas2020-03-07T00:00:00Z
  • Ceilidh’s place is so great! The location is awesome, near Hardwick, Hill Farmstead Brewery, Greensboro, and Craftsbury. The house is beautifully decorated, uniquely built, comfortable, and has a full kitchen. I recommend this place highly.

Come check out our facelift! This past summer, Sol gutted and fully renovated our siding and the entire first floor. Now an open-concept--come see the new kitchen and living room! 180-degree views from the entire first floor. We've been told our deck looks like an infinity pool. Come stay at this relaxing spot on Joe's Pond.
This year-round home sits on Joe's Pond, a 360-acre body of water in Cabot, Vermont. The home has three bedrooms; a queen bed in the master, another queen bed, and a full all upstairs along with one full bathroom on the upper level. The downstairs provides a comfortable living room with a big screen TV, a wood stove, an eat-in kitchen, a full bathroom with a claw foot bathtub, and a sunporch that spans the entire back of the house, looking at the water. The highlight of the home is a huge 30 x 30 foot deck that covers the boat garage beneath. The dock is perfect for parking your boat, canoe or kayaks. Boat rentals are available on the pond. Joe's Pond is made up of three ponds that are all connected. Our house is on the biggest of the three. It is an adventure to boat or kayak and explore the wildlife and the two islands. Guests should expect to see beautiful sunrises from the master bedroom that overlooks the water. Loons are frequently seen from the deck. The house is part of a friendly neighborhood and there is parking for up to three cars in the lot by the road. The house is thirty minutes from Burke Mountain, forty minutes from Stowe Mountain, and the Kingdom Trails are thirty minutes away and are considered to be the best mountain biking trail system in New England. Joe's Pond Store is a small convenience store that is about a mile away and in nearby Danville there is Marty's First Stop which provides delicious meats, sandwiches, groceries and gas. The Creamery Restaurant is a great place to hit in Danville and for fine dining, visit The Scale House Restaurant in nearby Hardwick.
A quiet, relaxed neighborhood where everyone is friendly and respectful of the peace and quiet.
  • Joe’s Pond is a quaint, charming town with the kindest people. The view from this lakefront property is picturesque and so peaceful! Early October is a beautiful time to see the vibrant fall colors. The location is great to stay and relax or to take day trips to Stowe & Burlington. Beautiful country drives with endless scenery. The beds are very comfy & anything you might need is provided. Marty’s First Stop has delicious sandwiches. We also had great food & beer at Kingdom Taproom in St. Johnsbury. Excellent breakfast at 3 Ponds, their jalapeño maple salsa is amazing. Enjoy your time at Christa’s!

    Aimee2018-10-07T00:00:00Z
  • Awesome stay. Very clean and tidy. Tough to beat location. And that amazing deck over looking Joe's Pond. Hope to be back soon! Thank you Christa!!!!!

  • This home is in a beautiful, peaceful location! Christa and Sol provide everything you'll need for a comfortable, relaxing getaway. We ate most of our meals either on the deck that extends right over the water, or on the sun porch. This home was exactly what we were looking for! We'd highly recommend it to anyone who is looking for a getaway on a beautiful, private pond.

  • If you're looking for a place to stay in Danville, this is the place for you. It has everything that you could want, and the hosts are readily available if anything comes up. We've stayed here several years, and it's our go to place when visiting family in the area. Diane

  • Lovely time on Joe’s Pond! We couldn’t ask for anything more! This updated, very clean and comfortable home has everything you might want or need. Close enough to wonderful restaurants and cafes yet so peaceful and quiet. Beautiful and spacious deck was a nice perk.

UPDATE 8/5: SlTE CLOSED UNTIL BUILDING FINISHED. WILL OPEN CALENDAR BACK UP WHEN FINISHED. THE STRUCTURE- Unavailable for construction for new Airbnb. We are starting this transition in June. You'll love staying on our property because you'll have full access to the 7 acres. We live the next town over. Less then 10 minutes away. Complete privacy from any neighbor. Our property has the VAST trail directly attached. During the Summer/Spring/Fall seasons you can walk to the trail.
The area is in the country but a located close to small towns for needs. Cabot is 5 minutes away, Danville is 10 away and Hardwick is 15 minutes away. You can't see the neighbors. But if loud enough they may here you or vice versa. We had many family get togethers when my dad lived across the street with fire works for 4th of July with no complaints. I want guest to have fun but please no fights or yelling. Should the neighbors complain we may not be able to continue the camping fun.
  • I had an awesome time staying on Jessica’s property. It was in a beautiful location perfect for my mountain biking trip. She was incredibly helpful and accommodating while still giving me plenty of privacy. Can’t wait to come back!

    Jameson2019-09-06T00:00:00Z
  • The property is wonderful, secluded and quiet, and they have provided wonderful accommodations for a camp spot. Our pup loves being able to run around and as our second stay here we had some friends join us with their dog as well. The night sky is clear and gorgeous, and we were close enough to town to take a half day trip in to explore. We highly recommend their property.

    Mikaila2019-09-02T00:00:00Z
  • Outstanding stay! I was totally expecting just a plot of grass begat I could set up a tent on, but Jessica and her family blew me away! The were super helpful when suggesting good local breakfast places with real Vermont maple syrup too! 10/10 would come back if I’m in Vermont again!

    Noah2019-08-19T00:00:00Z
  • This is an amazing spot! The property is beautiful and secluded. We had a great time and for a camp site there were more amenities than we ever would have expected or needed. They communicated with us quickly and stopped by when we arrived to say hi and make sure we had everything we needed. We didn't leave the site but they had a book with some area places to eat and see. Definitely recommend staying here, we will be for sure.

If tranquility is your goal, our 16' White Mountain yurt is just the thing. It's a bit primitive -- no electricity or running water -- but the outhouse is not far. And then there is the pond. The yurt is cozy in the colder weather, but unavailable once the snows come.
The entire space is yours. It sleeps two comfortably in the day bed that is made up into a king.
Our 30 acres is surrounded by hundreds of acres of untouched woodland. We are the next to last property on a private dead end road.
  • The yurt was beautiful, Janet and Woody were very helpful suggesting nearby spots to eat and be entertained. Also this was an amazing value for the area and the season. I cannot reccomend them enough .

    Ouliana2019-10-14T00:00:00Z
  • Janet's yurt was a perfect spot for a private, quiet getaway. Although the night was a bit chilly, there were plenty of cozy blankets to keep us warm. Our stay was perfect and will be back! Thanks Janet and Woody!

    Celia2019-10-06T00:00:00Z
  • For anyone looking for a good place to relax and unplug, this is it! The whole experience far exceeded my boyfriend and my expectations. From the very kind hosts, Janet and Woody, to the beautiful getaway, everything about this place is amazing! We definitely can not wait to go back and cannot thank Janet and Woody enough!

    Emma2019-09-29T00:00:00Z
  • Janet and Woody are incredibly nice. We had a short stay, but enjoyed every moment of it. By far, their yurt was the nicest we've ever been in and their outhouse was immaculate. It had no smell at all! Would 100% recommend.

    Melea2019-08-25T00:00:00Z
  • Everything was absolutely amazing. We were looking for a quiet getaway and it was better than expected. Janet was super nice and the property is beautiful!

    Care2019-08-19T00:00:00Z
  • Janet and Woody's yurt and property is stunning. A dreamy peaceful escape from reality. This is an ideal retreat from anyone wishing to unplug and simplify in peace and quiet. We are already planning our return trip.

  • A picture perfect setting in lovely Vermont. The pond was great for. cooling off. We went biking on nearby bike trail. Host gave good advise about starting in St. Johnsbury. This meant we did uphill first and with energy lagging returned downhill. We hope to return next year.

Loonhaven is a quiet and private nature-lover's paradise on the shore of Coles Pond, a high elevation lake in Walden, VT. You will be amazed by the abundant wildlife, clean water, wild flowers, and fresh mountain air. The cottage is very well-maintained and well-appointed, as the owners like their creature comforts and love to cook. You will enjoy gorgeous sunsets from the massive deck without another property in sight. You will also love the flower gardens and the resident hummingbirds.
Upon entering the cottage, there is a mudroom and sunroom/den with tons of windows. You then enter the main living area of the cottage which consists of an open floor plan: kitchen, dining area, living area with TV, and bathroom (with shower, no tub). The kitchen has all the utensils and cookware you could possibly need (no dishwasher, though). The two bedrooms are on the second level. Heat, if needed, is provided by a propane forced air unit or wood stove.
The neighborhood is very rural, about 20 minutes from the nearest paved road. Hardwick is the nearest town and contains The Village Restaurant (great diner-style food), The Scale House (serving fresh seafood and other fare, also great drink menu) and Front Seat Coffee. It also has a wonderful little co-op grocery store, Buffalo Mountain Co-op. Danville also has a great little restaurant called Three Ponds, right next to Joe's Pond.

  • Loved our stay at the cabin. It was perfectly located, very clean, and had everything we needed to have an amazing weekend. Tito was extremely hospitable and responsive — we had all the info we needed for all logistics. The pond was great and we loved the firepit. Thanks for everything!

    Aaron2019-08-25T00:00:00Z
  • Tito’s place was hands down one of the best Airbnb’s I’ve booked and he was by far the most responsive, friendly and timely host! The house was everything you could want and more for a relaxing get away in a beautiful secluded area. There was plenty of space to sleep 8 comfortably and the kitchen was stocked with snacks and simple cooking necessities. There is a breathtaking trail in walking distance of the house that loops around the pond with a playground. The platoon boat and yard games were such a nice amenity. We brought a tube and attached it to the boat for a fun day on the lake. The memories made here are priceless and we plan to come back in the near future!

    Monica2019-08-21T00:00:00Z
  • Fantastic location, responsive host. Views are great from the porch, deck and yard. Outdoor fire place was great to end the day. At the quiet end of the lake near the inlet which was great to canoe also. Boys disappeared only coming back to eat. Fun for everyone. Neat and tidy with everything you need. Fell asleep to loons calling. On top of everything available there Kingdom Trails was a quick trip.

    Scott2019-08-19T00:00:00Z
  • We had a wonderful time at Humberto's place at Joe's Pond. The place was clean and well- appointed. Humberto was always quick to respond to any questions - he made the entire process easy from beginning to end. The highlights - the view was amazing, the beds were super comfy, the kitchen was well equipped, and the area was quiet. Thank you!

  • Great "camp," right on the pond. Serene sunsets, water lapping on the bank, loons making their eerie calls. With no internet, the kids made good use of the kayak and paddle boat. Cozy, relaxed... already thinking of ways we can get back.

    Scott2019-08-11T00:00:00Z

  • So nice and clean - great stay! Denise and Bridget were wonderful!

    Sierra2019-11-29T00:00:00Z
  • My family of four had so much fun staying with Denise last summer, we decide to come back for a second time! It is an easy decision since this cozy and clean property is really top notch. Between the kitchen packed with all your cooking needs, the dock that is perfect for early morning coffee sipping and the property’s perfect location, you will not go wrong if you are looking for a place to get away from it all. The beds are comfortable (as well as the couch) and there is everything needed to keep you cozy at night in any season. TV/internet and the in-unit washer/dryer all worked great. It’s awesome to have the use of a canoe and two kayaks to get the full experience of Joe’s Pond without having to haul them with us. We very much look forward to staying with Denise again!

  • Ellen and Bill are very warm, welcoming, engaging people. They have a beautiful home on a picturesque piece of land. I thoroughly enjoyed my time there, and I highly recommend staying at their place. They are very kind, generous people. I can't say enough about them.

  • Super-clean and comfortable room in a farmhouse situated in a beautiful Vermont setting: a lovely pond, with hilly wooded areas surrounding their organic farm. Just a relaxing place. Ellen & Bill are very welcoming and were happy to offer all kinds of tips for the area.

  • It was a joy to meet Ellen and Bill and stay at their beautiful farm.

    Bonnie2019-10-13T00:00:00Z
  • Ellen and Bill are very friendly. Their farm is nicely maintained. Guest room is cleanly kept and decorated with lovely memories. Guest will need to pay attention to driving tips provided by host.

  • We stayed with Ellen in October during our trip to Vermont / NH to see the fall foliage. It was very clean and in a beautiful area. They gave us some great tips for what route to drive. Would definitely stay here again!

    Elaina2019-10-06T00:00:00Z
  • Wonderful hosts, excellent accommodations, clean to a scruple, comfortable, 'fantastic scenery...what more can I say...and we do plan to go back next year. Do be prepared for a short drive on a country road (but it is well maintained), and follow Ellen's directions, not the GPS, when you get near their house.

    Donna2019-10-05T00:00:00Z
  • Several things really stand out about Ellen and Bill's farm. First, the natural beauty is A+ in this region of Vermont. Take a stroll on the logging road and you'll pass fields, wetlands, forests, and more. There's also a wildlife management area with hikes nearby (see if you can find the waterfall:). Secondly, the home is cozy and spacious. Sadly, we didn't get to meet Ellen and Bill, but someday we hope to return. Truly a standout place!

Fire pit, dock, paddle board, canoe, kayak etc. Shared walking trails. 5 minutes from Karme Choling. 30 minutes from East Burke Kingdom Trails. Discount for extended stay. Dogs are welcome.
  • Jill’s cabin is so ideal for a New England weekend getaway! The cabin is so homey and has spectacular views. Everything from the fire pit, to Lake Harvey, to the surrounding outdoors is wonderful. We came up in the fall to enjoy the foliage and weren’t disappointed! 10/10 would recommend and will visit again in the future!

  • Lovely quiet cabin with beautiful views of the lake, we especially loved the loons and eagles every morning while we enjoyed our coffee! The bathroom had hot water and great pressure. The communication was good and checking in and out was simple. We would visit again.

  • We had an amazing experience at Martin's Pond. The place is very pleasant and neat! The view in autumn is astonishing. Michelle made sure the access was easy, everything was fine.

    Louis2019-10-06T00:00:00Z
  • I rented this lake house for a long weekend to spend with my adult children and grandson. It was the perfect getaway! It is true that there is no cell service or WiFi but being unplugged and disconnected from our cell phones and internet was a welcome change! It provided a wonderful opportunity to connect as a family. The amenities were great and the kitchen provided everything we needed. The lower level did have a bit of a musty/damp odor but (typical of many basements) but we spent most of our time upstairs in the family room & kitchen or outside. One of my favorite parts of the weekend was enjoying my morning coffee on the dock listening to the loon family chatter as they paddled by! If you are looking for peace and quiet...this is the perfect spot!

    Kari2019-09-08T00:00:00Z
  • You won't be disappointed. Accommodations were wonderful. The best family vacation we've had......highly recommend...especially for the peace and tranquility of being off the grid!

    Don2019-09-03T00:00:00Z
  • The cottage was comfortable and homey. The pond is very clean and fun to canoe and kayak on. We would recommend this cottage if you are looking for a quiet, secluded place.

    Nancy2019-08-26T00:00:00Z
  • Our stay on Martin’s Pond was wonderful. The cabin had plenty of space and being directly on the lake was fantastic. We enjoyed sitting on the dock, swimming and adventuring in the canoe. Martin’s Pond was absolutely stunning and the cabin had great views. It’s true that there is absolutely no cell service in the area but we did not mind and enjoyed our time being disconnected. The kitchen had the essentials for us to cook meals everyday and also had the luxury of a dishwasher. Thanks again to Michelle and her family for having us!

    Kimberly2019-07-30T00:00:00Z
  • This is a special place on a special pond. Relatively secluded and without WiFi it and cell phone service it offers or challenges visitors to let go of usual connections and and plug into the nature and the beautiful wildlife surrounding a lovely large (lake-like) pond. The main floor has two bedrooms and an open plan large space with a well stocked kitchen and a large dinning room table overlooking the water. Our family enjoyed watching loons and geese and otters while eating meals and playing board games. Our granddaughter delighted in safely exploring inside and out, and we all took turns with the canoe and the kayak. We also took an outing to Boulder Beach State Park for a picnic and a few hours of sand castling. We had a great family get away. And would recommend this spot. Especially for those who only need the main floor’s accommodations. We found the basement floor to be a bit chilly, damp, and a somewhat musty.

    Paul2019-07-27T00:00:00Z
  • We had a really lovely weekend at the lake! It was nice being able to wake up to the beautiful view and have a place for our dogs to swim and play!

Peacefully situated in the rural landscape of quaint Danville VT this open concept log home features views of the white mountains and end of the road tranquility. Surrounded by 142 acres of VT and super starry skies at night, you will enjoy peace at last. 1 double bed in downstairs bedroom, 1 double bed upstairs in the loft, and 1 pull out couch double bed downstairs in the office. Wifi, and cell service! Laundry. Hot Tub.
Welcome to my part-time home. You will find the cabin homey, friendly and slightly unfinished. Full bath downstairs with clawfoot tub and big shower. The upstairs 1/2 bath is utilitarian and the base cabinet is a bit unfinished, but does the job. The cabin is open concept and the loft and office beds, although private, are open to the common areas. The kitchen has pots and pans, glasses, plates, toaster oven, gas range, french press and coffee grinder, etc. Feel free to open drawers to find the tools you are looking for. The VAST (Vermont Association of Snow Travelers) trail runs across my property (look for the flags as you enter the field). If you have a snowmobile you are welcome to bring it and cruise the trails or just have fun. There are trails on the property and great XC skiing and snowshoeing.
Danville is a quaint yet accessible VT town with a population of 2,000 or so. You are approximately 45 minutes to the capitol of Montpelier, 30 minutes to Burke Mountain, and less than 10 minutes to picturesque Peacham, VT. You are also 5 minutes to the new Red Barn Brewery just down Oneida Road. Places to visit downtown include The Creamery restaurant, Barrel To Bottle wine and Cheese shop, Bentleys bakery for some treats, or check out The Danville Inn for breakfast. Also there is a cute public skating rink in the center of Danville just North of the stoplights in town. Or Joes Pond or Harveys Lake for swimming in the summer. If you are looking for more stuff to do check out what's going on in St. Johnsbury (URL HIDDEN)

  • An absolutely amazing getaway cabin! The home was so warm and inviting as soon as you walk in. Between the beautiful property, stunning views of the White Mountains, amazing amenities, and a tentative host that recommended wonderful food options and hikes - our trip was fabulous to say the least. We loved the cabin so much we didn't want to leave in the morning! I highly recommend this gem of a home tucked away in VT.

    Paige2019-10-13T00:00:00Z
  • Great place to stay! Evangelyn was very responsive and thorough with leaving info on your stay and what you can do. There’s a cat and he’s the sweetest thing ever. He made the stay even better!

    Kelli2019-09-29T00:00:00Z
  • Our stay was wonderful. As we drove up the dirt road to the cabin it was completely surrounded by woods. Then after maybe a quarter of a mile opens to a vast field with views of Mt Washington. How awesome is that. We enjoyed the hot tub at night looking up at the stars and milky way. The cabin is spacious, clean and has plenty of everything you'd need and more. We would recommend to friends and family. We would love to stay again on our next trip up to VT.

    Danielle2019-07-28T00:00:00Z
  • This gorgeous log home is absolutely perfect for a quiet, peaceful getaway. Reading in the hot tub with beautiful views...I couldn't ask for more!

    Nicole2019-07-25T00:00:00Z
  • The pictures don't this place justice! It's beautiful. In our down time, we loved sitting on the back porch with our drinks and a nice fire, admiring the amazing view of the country side. Evangelyn was very nice and quick to respond, and her cottage had everything we needed. While we were in Danville, we visited a local waterfall recommended to us by Evangelyn's father (15 minutes away), and then we hiked Mount Pisgah and went for a swim in Lake Willoughby (45 minutes away). It was an amazing trip with a perfect combination of relaxation and adventure. Highly recommended if you're visiting this area of Vermont!

On a quiet back road, my unique, magical home offers a perfect home base for exploring the nearby lakes, mountains, ski areas, back roads, art, and local brewery and entertainment. The open kitchen living room surrounded on three sides with large windows is spacious and light. A cedar tree leads you upstairs to two large bedrooms. After a day of exploring, relax in the evenings with a cup of tea or a glass of wine on the front porch, by the cozy wood stove or at the outdoor fire pit.
It is an intimate yet spacious home built with local and green products. You will love the peaceful sense of serenity and healing energy here. A few notes - The driveway is short, but steep; parking is right next to the house. Stone steps with a railing lead the way to a covered entrance. Both bedrooms are upstairs, with the bathroom on the first floor and walk out basement levels.
This convenient location is only 3 miles from Greensboro, Caspian Lake, Willey's Store , and Highland XC ski center, 2 miles from the Highland Arts Center with a sweet cafe, 5 miles to the world famous Hill Farmstead Brewery, 5 miles from Hardwick and multiple restaurants, 15 miles from Craftsbury Sport Center and the famous Bread and Puppet Museum, and 30 miles from Stowe or East Burke ski and single track bike trails.
  • Absolutely wonderful place to stay. Clean and comfortable. The porch is a magical place to sit and drink coffee in the morning.

    Adam2019-08-25T00:00:00Z
  • Betsy’s place is the epitome of relaxation and tranquility. From the natural dramatic details in the architecture of the home to the claw foot tub everything helped create an absolute retreat. The gardens are beautiful and the house is stunning. I would definitely stay again and would recommend to any family or friends. Very near Hill Farmstead as well which we thoroughly enjoyed!

    Melinda2019-08-15T00:00:00Z
  • We had a great time at Betsy’s house. We went mountain biking in Burke and in the surrounding... The house his very nice and well decorated.

    Francois2019-08-12T00:00:00Z
  • You know, selfishly I kind of want to keep this place quiet so that I can get it anytime I want - because I'll definitely be back - however, that would be unfair of me. This has been one of my favorite Airbnbs ever, and the others that stayed agree. Now, you have to accept that this is a 'rustic' experience: the Internet is a bit slow, there's not much TV to speak of, the shower takes a bit to warm up and you kind of have to be quick, and the cabin is not 'near' anything in relative terms - but if you're coming to the Northeast Kingdom of Vermont for any of these things, then you're kind of doing it wrong. This is the perfect place to disappear off the grid for a weekend and reset your mind. The cabin was larger than I expected and every inch of it had handmade touches of wood that enhanced the experience. The garden was amazing and an excellent place to have a campfire and look at the milky way, and fresh blueberries and raspberries on the grounds were a nice plus. The porch was a great place to look out over the hills and have morning breakfast. The roads around the cabin were great for walking, running & exploring. You are not physically near anything; the cabin is an island in a sea of fields and trees - and that's just what I needed; I can't wait to return.

    Todd2019-08-04T00:00:00Z
  • We enjoyed our stay at Betsy's so much. The house is incredible, so beautifully and thoughtfully decorated and clean, with gorgeous views of the garden and countryside. We loved picking raspberries and blueberries, and spending time out on the porch and seeing wildlife. My husband easily did his work remotely while we were there, and my daughter liked exploring the house and garden. We loved it!

    Anne2019-08-02T00:00:00Z
  • My friends and I had an amazing stay. Betsy met us at the house and gave us great suggestions for things to in the area. Honestly the pictures really don’t do this place justice. The house and surrounding is absolutely beautiful. I could sip Hill Farmstead beer forever on that balcony. Hope to stay here again. Thanks Betsy.

    Brandon2019-07-20T00:00:00Z
  • Betsy's place truly was magical as she stated. It was peaceful, comfortable and perfect for a gathering of 4 or more people. We would definitely return to this special spot!

    Hilary2019-07-14T00:00:00Z
  • We just got back from our stay at Betsy's and we wish we didn't have to leave! The photos don't do the place justice... every detail of the house was thoughtfully designed and built in such an organic way. We immediately felt relaxed after our long journey from Boston. The garden is lovely, and lots of things still yet to bloom. The property is incredibly private and quiet, just what we needed.

  • I had the pleasure of staying at John and Janet’s accommodations for two nights so I could do some bike riding around Vermont. The check-in process was smooth, and John was mowing the lawn so came by to made sure I figured it out okay. The place was clean, and very quiet (and dark!) at night. I was able to take advantage of the outdoor amenities and relaxed by the stream flowing through their back yard. Janet told me about Harvey lake half a mile down the road, in which I enjoyed a nice refreshing dip after my rides. I will be checking the availability of this Airbnb for my next trip up! Highly recommended.

A huge secluded Vermont getaway on a large, semi-private pond offers an ideal spot for getting away from it all or exploring the hiking, biking and breweries of the Northeast Kingdom. The house is at the end of a long (0.4-mile) driveway, and all the rooms open up on to Keiser Pond, a 70-acre body of water with only three houses on it. Enjoy the call of the loons on a canoe, or the stillness of winter in front of the fire!
Enter from the driveway through the mudroom and into a cathedral height great room. The space includes and open kitchen, dining room and living room, clustered around a huge chimney with two fireplaces. The upper level also includes a gorgeous master suite with a full bathroom and walk-in closet. All the rooms open onto a covered porch with views of the pond. Downstairs, there is a common area with a small kitchenette. There are also four more bedrooms, each with french doors opening onto the patio and looking out onto the pond. The mini-master bedroom has an ensuite full bathroom, and there is a second full bath across the hall. For babies and toddlers, we have a pack-and-play, and a full-sized crib that can be set up at your request. There is also a queen-sized airmattress and another twin mattress that can be used for extra sleeping space.
Less than a mile away is Red Barn Brewing, one of the tiniest (and most delicious) Vermont breweries off the beaten path. Walk over and enjoy a glass of Misty Hopped or Little Devil, or hop in the car for half an hour and head over to Hill Farmstead. In the summer, you can swim, fish, canoe or kayak on the pond. Enjoy a number of near-by hikes or head over to the Kingdom Trails for some of the country's best mountain biking. The fall brings spectacular foliage and weekly festivals in all the nearby towns. In the winter, you can skate or cross-country ski on the frozen pond. We are also near the VAST network and a short drive from the Crafstbury Outdoor Center. The Kingdom Trails are open for fat biking or snow-shoeing.
  • This was a dream vacation home! Tucked away on close to a 1.5 mile driveway off a winding country road. It’s set in a private lake. This was exactly what you’d expect for a weekend retreat. Tons of board games to play by the warm fire place! If your looking to leave reality for a few days look no further!

  • Everything as pictured and described. Very nice open space, beautiful views and very private. Easy to find with Google maps. Beds were very comfortable and all amenities were provided. I'm very thankful this family has the option and privilege to rent this home out for others enjoyment. The family still uses the home and many personal belongings are left in the home. If that makes you uncomfortable, it would be something to consider. I am hoping to come back in the future. Maybe summer so I can enjoy the lake more. I absolutely LOVE the deck and wish I could have slept with doors open. Winter doesn't really allow that. Thank you very much for this rental!!!

  • Very nice place and beautiful scenery. I would Recommend this place. Very nice family vacation,

  • Exactly as advertised! Such a beautiful home on a quiet pond surrounded by nature. Our group of 6 adults, two tweens and one dog had a lovely week watching loons paddle by each morning. The large living and dining area and gorgeous porch provided plenty of room for us all to be together (or apart when needed). We enjoyed they kayaks, canoe and the hammock - and especially the fire pit! It was a treat to have a charcoal grill. We hope to be back again in a few years!

    Amy2019-08-19T00:00:00Z
  • We stayed here for the second time this year. This year friends and I stayed for a week instead of just the four days the previous year and we had just as great of a time. The house is beautiful and located on just a beautiful and quiet lake. The kayaks/canoes/paddle-board are a great fun amenity. Claire gives great suggestions for things to do in the area as well if you ever want to leave this great location. Hope to come back again in the future!

  • Beautiful spot; gracious and responsive hosts; enough room for everyone!

    Maurie2019-08-02T00:00:00Z
  • You will love this place for 8-10 people, great kitchen/dining area, long porch with views of the pond. Quiet setting, quite private, wonderful for swimming and paddling. Ideal base for exploring the area. Nearby brewery is a treat.

  • Beautiful Airbnb gem! Private house with lake views, VERY spacious, clean, and cozy. Our party enjoyed the fireplace and snowshoeing on the lake. Loved it! Would love to be back one day.

East Hardwick: The lovely Perennial Pleasures Tea Garden is a quick walk up the street where they serve a proper English tea from Memorial Day to September and they have plant sales as well as a lovely gift shop. The village has a mini-mart for a cup of coffee or quick lunch fare but otherwise you will find a quiet sleepy little town. Our historic Caledonia Grange hosts contra dances with a pot luck dinners once a month. In the summer months they also are hosts to some concerts. There is a Community Church with Sunday services. They also host a wonderful fall harvest dinner. The Surrounding Area: We are a great central location for day trips to Cabot ( Cabot Cheese), Stowe ( Trapp Family Lodge), Waterbury ( Ben & Jerry's Ice Cream), Glover ( Bread and Puppet Theatre), St. Johnsbury ( Maple Museum), and Craftsbury ( Craftsbury Outdoor Center and Sterling College). Be sure to visit nearby Greensboro village where you can enjoy Caspian Lake Beach, Circus Smirkus and Willey's General Store. At Willey's you will find a family owned classic country store selling groceries, fishing gear, housewares, clothing and hardware. Food and Beer: Don't forget the wonderful local foods and beer. There are many local fresh vegetable stands within a few miles and a farmer's market in Hardwick. We are near the BEST BEER in the WORLD at Hill Farmstead Brewery in North Greensboro. Pair it with some Jasper Hill Cheese made in Greensboro and found at Willey's Store and you are in food heaven. Other local breweries include Rock Art Beer and Lost Nation Brewery in Morrisville. Morrisville also has several places to pick up Heady Topper from the Alchemist Brewery in Waterbury. The local Hardwick restaurant Positive Pie has many of the local beers on tap.
  • Grammys house is a wonderful space, the name is very suiting as it has all the comforts of home! Gail was very quick to respond, and was very accommodating. Would certainly stay again! Highly recommended!

  • Very homey; has the feel of a family home from the 60's with the comforts of the 21st century. Beds are quite comfortable - even for the 6-footer sleeping in the twin-bed room.

  • Cozy place to stay, with thoughtful holiday touches and a well-equipped kitchen. I brought my mother over from her assisted living home, and we made gingerbread cookies for her great-grandchildren's Christmas stockings. Nice to find little things you didn't think you'd need - pliers, marker, even a hole punch - just like visiting your grandmother! Showers work better than you might expect in an older house - hot and strong!

    Janet2019-12-30T00:00:00Z
  • Gail's place is warm charming and easy! Found a nice place to walk on the old railroad bed. Also several trips to Willey's Store a few miles up the road just because!!!!

Spacious cottage has bedroom and sunny loft space with daybed and trundle. Porch overlooks fields, farm and an Audubon sanctuary. Near Harvey's Lake, plenty of mountain/road bike routes, minutes to alpine and Nordic skiing, lots of great hikes.
The cottage is spacious and sunny -- perfect for a couple or family. There are corners that invite you to relax with a book, play board games, or just enjoy the view. The porch overlooks a quiet meadow, Audubon bird sanctuary and farm.
We're a short bike-ride to the public beach at Harvey's Lake (great swimming, canoeing, kayaking, paddle-boarding). There are many road and cross-bike adventures in the surrounding hills, and Kingdom Trails with its mountain biking tracks is a short drive. Peacham is rich in history, scenic views, and a terrific cafe in the center of town. Annual events include the Peacham Acoustic Music Festival, Fall Foliage Festival, and 4th of July Tractor Parade.
  • Anna is a thoughtful and gracious host! I stayed for a month while working in the area and she and her family couldn’t have been kinder. The cottage is lovely, quiet, private and has everything you could need for a wonderful time. It’s exceptionally clean and the bed is really comfortable. Beautiful linens with a down comforter for chilly nights. Anna provides an extensive collection of books and information regarding hikes, places to go and things to do. It’s a beautiful area and this cottage is exceptional !!

  • This little cottage in Vermont is so lovely and the property is beautiful. We loved waking up to the sound of the creek running outside our window. It was the perfect home away from home for us while we were visiting to celebrate a friends wedding!

    Kaeli2019-05-26T00:00:00Z
  • I stayed at Anna and Craig's lovely cottage for five weeks this summer. It was a combination vacation and writing trip. The cottage is lovely, sunny, and comfortable. It's roomy, and well stocked. It overlooks a large meadow filled with wildflowers. A short walk up the hill takes you into Peacham - a beautiful little Vermont town. I loved the acoustical musical festival, The Peacham café, and the little farmers' market. Lake Harvey is only a couple miles away- although you can swim in the stream on Anna's property. Danville is a short drive away and has a couple of restaurants, a bakery and a little grocery store. It also has a Rails-to-Trails walking path and Joe's pond. The Groton state forest is also nearby – more great hiking and lakes. I so enjoyed my stay at their cottage! Thank you Anna and Craig.

  • Anna was super kind and welcoming. I felt like I was staying with an old friend. The space was bright, clean, and comfortable, and the surrounding landscape was gorgeous. I wholeheartedly recommend everything about it!

  • Yes, our hostess, Anna, did a marvelous job of making our stay in her peaceful, clean, sunny cottage as comfortable and carefree as possible. The cottage is in a quiet country setting. We lacked for nothing. It was like being at home away from home. Anna provided thoughtfully chosen breakfast foods to tide us over until we could fend for ourselves. We would highly recommend this Airbnb to anyone needing a haven of rest after a full day(s) of sightseeing in the spectacular Northeast Kingdom of Vermont. We look forward to staying there again if the need arises.

    Martha2016-10-15T00:00:00Z
  • This cottage was bright, sunny and an absolute delight, as was the owner! There is a peaceful meadow view out of the back windows and from the deck. It was like having a home away from home and was very clean. We would definitely stay there again. Everything was perfect. No changes needed.

  • Anna and her family were so warm, welcoming, and helpful with recommendations. In addition to their outstanding hospitality their house is just beautiful! The beds are super cozy and everything is neat and clean. If you're thinking about traveling to Vermont, this should definitely be your first choice! We're so happy that we got a chance to stay at this beautiful cottage Nicole, Kyle, Kayla and Dylan

  • Anna was a delightful hostess--she welcomed us before we even left home for our trip, and provided everything we could want for our arrival. The cottage was spacious, light and lovely--surrounded by lush greenery and apple trees in full bloom. I would definitely recommend this lovely cottage with its wonderful hosts.

    Please see below.
Old Cemetery Road Guest House is a Greek-Revival farmhouse-style home in a beautiful situation in Peacham one quarter mile from lovely Peacham Village and seven miles from Karme Choling Shambhala Meditation Center in the Northeast Kingdom of Vermont. Stay in our large, second-floor, east-corner guest room that is private, has a queen bed, sitting area with table and chairs and a full bath en suite. Continental breakfast and wifi included. (Please note that cell service is undependable in our area.) The house is in a serene, rural location, surrounded by pastures and meadows. We are three miles from the nearest convenience store and seven miles to restaurants. There's a beautiful hike up Devil's Hill with panoramic views and on the many dirt roads around this quiet, hilly town. Do you ski? You can back-country ski right from our door in the woods and fields around us, or at highly-recommended cross-country ski areas at Burke Mountain (40 minutes); Craftsbury Outdoor Center (1 hr.); or Kingdom Trails (Burke, 40 mins.). Great downhill skiing at Burke Mountain (40 mins.) or Cannon Mountain (N.H., 55 mins.) Peacham makes a good base for exploring northern Vermont. Two-night minimum, please.
We are in a rural area on a dirt road, which is common in our town. We are only 0.4 miles from the center of the village where there is a church, a craft guild, the library and our relatively new community-supported Peacham Cafe of which we are very proud.
  • Fantastic space, beautiful and clean. Excellent view and location. Barry and his family are amazing hosts! Would 100% recommend.

  • Barry's home is the best Airbnb I have ever stayed at! If I could give 10 stars I would. The room was lovely and the breakfasts were amazing! Barry is a great conversationalist and we shared many stories about our love for the environment. Peacham is paradise and so was my stay for the week at Barry's home. The location on a hill with views of stunning foliage outside my bedroom window was more than I could ask for! I can't wait to return next year for another week. Everything was so stellar I couldn't have been happier. The Peacham church supper during the area's foliage week was the highlight of my stay. What a warm and welcoming community!

    Judy2019-10-05T00:00:00Z
  • This was my third time staying with Barry. It is always a joy! The room is lovely, the breakfasts are fantastic and Barry is wonderful to talk to.

  • I found Barry and Lyn to be exceptionally nice, welcoming and down-to-earth. The house was a warm and welcoming place to stay. I stayed while attending a local music festival. I was super impressed and happy with everything. Barry makes a great breakfast and Lyn shared some excellent key lime pie. If you are interested in a nice country setting this is it!

    Brian2019-08-18T00:00:00Z
  • This was an absolutely wonderful place to see. I had a private room and bath at the top of the stairs and Barry provided a nice breakfast each morning. The room was charming with great views and the overall location was gorgeous (and convenient). Parking was also convenient. But the best part of the stay was Barry and Lynn, my hosts. They are friendly, interested and interesting people who I enjoyed getting to know during my three day stay. Next time I need a place to stay in the "northeast kingdom" I hope to stay with Barry and Lynn. Great place and even better people.

    Curt2019-08-14T00:00:00Z
  • I would rate 6 stars if I could! First, I should mention that we’ve already booked a future stay here because our experience was so wonderful. We made a reservation for this fall before checking out yesterday! I’ve been using AirBnB for quite a while now, and Barry and Lynn were *by far* the very best hosts we’ve ever had the pleasure of meeting. Barry served us hot breakfasts each morning, and gave us local tips on restaurants activities, as well as useful driving directions and shortcuts. We had plenty of great conversations with Barry and Lynn which made us feel very welcomed. Their property is BEAUTIFUL. The whole town of Peacham is beautiful, but they’re situated in a particularly pretty spot atop a hill with acres of land and great views for miles. Room is clean and inviting. Shower had amazing water pressure. All the little details made this stay superb. Don’t hesitate to book!

Located on the shores of Harvey's Lake, the property has a main house and a boathouse; each situated on 3 acres to maximize views of the lake and its bookend mountains. The Estate highlights the best of the Vermont seasons. Burke Mountain and the Kingdom Trails - offering endless skiing and mountain biking - are 30 miles away. The location offers access to some of the best East Coast skiing (resorts and off-piste) in both the White and Green Mountains.
If you want a relaxing place to unplug and get away, this is the place. The loon calls are night are the perfect way to fall asleep!
The house is on a very secluded setting with limited surrounding neighbors. Enjoy the stars at night over an outside fire pit with loons calling in the back ground. Enjoy days in the summer water skiing and days in the winter snow skiing.
  • We had a great time at Nick’s house. It’s an ideal house for a big company, common areas are very comfortable, while bedrooms are pretty far from the main areas, therefore it’s quiet. House was very clean. Nature around is very beautiful. Nick was very quick in answering all questions. We would definitely like to come back again.

    Alexandra2020-01-01T00:00:00Z
  • Nick was a great host. The place was very clean and in a beautiful location. The kitchen was fully equipped and amazing for cooking. The lake area is beautiful and the boathouse is a cool spot to hang out and play some ping pong by the water. Would absolutely recommend to others looking to stay in the area. Thanks for a great stay over Christmas!

    Gretchen2019-05-26T00:00:00Z
  • This house is perfect for a relaxing getaway from the hustle and bustle of the city. The house is well built and beautifully designed. The kitchen has pretty much every cooking utensil you'll ever need and is perfect for cooking meals for large groups. The mattress and pillows were very comfortable as well. I would definitely recommend this place. Note: Please make sure you read the directions to the house as the GPS led us onto the wrong road and the reception up here is very spotty or almost non-existent. Also, please be aware that the house contains items / furniture that has animal fur on it (rugs, tables) so those who are allergic to cats/dogs may get a mild allergic reaction (sneezing/sniffling) while staying at the house.

Our family has owned this property on The Hill for 50 years, and hunted on it for years before that. It has been our escape ever since, offering leaf peeping, hiking, and fishing. It sits just off the VAST trail and is near Kingdom Trails. It is also close to many Northeast Kingdom attractions, such as Burke Mountain and Stowe area ski resorts. Museums can be found in St Johnsbury and the Bread and Puppet Theater is only 30 minutes away. WE NOW HAVE WIFI!
The two story house has a Master BR and Bath, Kitchen, Dining Room, and Living Room upstairs. Downstairs is another Common Area, the Second BR and Bath, Washer/Dryer, and entrance into the attached garage.
We are located about a half mile up a county dirt road hill. The road continues on into West Danville, but is not maintained well about a mile past our property. While somewhat secluded, it is not isolated, as there are seasonally occupied homes past ours, and snowmobilers enjoying the VAST trail ride by in the winter. Our driveway will be kept plowed in the winter when guests are staying here, but the snow can be deep and snow tires will be needed in the winter. The VAST trails go right by the house, allowing quick access to the groomed trails of the state.
  • Marjorie is a SUPER Host ! Her home is beautiful, very cleaned, with place for sleeping to 5 with each one own bed. The view is incredibly nice and the place very quite, very convenient to go skiing a couple of days on the Burke station, located 30 minutes only from the house and very family friendly ski station. In Lyndonville you can find all what you need to cook or go to the restaurant and at The Hill you have a fully equiped kicthen , with all what weeded to prepare your meal after a day skiing. It was our second stay at The Hill and the only birthday wish of our 10 years old son was to stay at The Hill this year again for his birthday ! Hope to come back again next year ….

    Isabelle2020-02-12T00:00:00Z
  • Marjorie is a great host with a great house. We stayed here while we went snowmobiling. The house is adjacent to a VAST corridor trail and has a fantastic view. It’s very clean. It’s in a secluded location but not too far from the town of Lyndon. Plenty of easy parking for a car with trailer. We liked that the master bedroom was on the main level and the second bedroom was on the lower level. Two additional beds are in a large room on the lower level with sliding doors out to the back yard. There’s plenty of windows on both levels that give the whole house a bright airy atmosphere. My wife who loves to cook, really appreciated the well stocked kitchen. Especially her favorite coffee. Don’t count on using your cell phone since the service is spotty in this area. It also helped that we brought our own Apple TV so we can stream albeit slowly, some movies to watch. We hope to return during the non-winter seasons to take advantage of the adjacent hiking/biking trails and of course, for more snowmobiling in the winter.

  • The Hill is a beautiful home in a secluded, peaceful setting. Large windows offer a view of the expansive property and distant mountains while light pours in from other windows and doors throughout the house. This home is immaculately clean, has comfortable beds and quality linens. The spcious kitchen is well stocked with seasonings, coffee, cooking gadgets, and nice pots and pans, which enabled us to create a lovely second Christmas with our Vermont family. Marjorie and her family were lovely to deal with, responsive and accommodating--truly gracious people. During our short stay, we skied at Burke Mountain (25 min), shopped in St. Johnsbury (20 min) and enjoyed a pre-travel breakfast at Bagel Depot. Lyndon has all stores easily accessible once you come down the hill. Stock up and head back to just relax and let the stress melt away! We loved our stay here and look forward to returning to experience another season.

  • This was the perfect place for us! The Airbnb pictures do not capture the beauty and magic of this house. We spent there 3 nights on a mid October and witnessed colorful foliage. We were 2 couples with 2 toddlers who had a blast playing around the spacious living room and yard. The house was so comfortable, fun and full of light - we just didn't want to go anywhere else and spend most of our days there.. Kitchen was great for cooking, beds were super clean and comfy, lots of public spaces to hang together in a group. Our girls slept in the common space with the two single beds so it functioned as a 3 bedroom for us. We even saw 2 beautiful deers in the garden! Yes there is no wifi and almost no phone connection but we prepared in advance with all of the info we needed and disconnected for a long weekend. One of the best vacations we had! Marjie was very communicative. Hope to go there again!

  • This place is a steal for the money, if you want to get away from the hectic city life this is the place for you. The house is surrounded by greenery all around and view in the morning and sunset is a view to your eyes.

    Kunal2019-09-02T00:00:00Z
  • This place is so beautiful, peaceful, and quiet. It is even more beautiful than the pictures can show. The beds are comfortable. The brook thru the meadow is also a nice little walk. My family had a great time staying here. We did bring some movies to keep my 3 year old entertained although they do have a small collection of other movies just not for little ones. We will definitely be staying here when we come back to VT. I cannot say enough good things about this property.

    Nicole2019-08-15T00:00:00Z
  • The home was fantastic! Everything was beautiful, stunning mountain views. check in was very easy & smooth along with communication. For this home all you have to pack is a bag, kids and get on the road to the best place on earth. marjorie & family were great hosts. We will definently be rebooking for future visits. This is home, away from home.

    Rosaly2019-07-14T00:00:00Z
  • The fireflies and stars put on a show every night-magical. And, we were lucky enough to see a bear cub saunter across the meadow our first night. Marjorie’s place was super clean. More than enough linens and towels. As previous reviewers have written, there is no WiFi and we had a hard time even getting cell phone service. If you are looking for a place to recharge, a calm respite-this is the place for you.

  • We stayed for a long weekend in Cabin #5 which is as close to the water's edge as you can get. The cabin was immaculate, warm and comfortable. Thank you for a great place to stay!

  • The cabin was just what we were looking for, nice and quiet. We felt very at home and the cabin was very clean! We roasted hotdogs and marshmallows over the firepit and told ghost stories while keeping toasty inside. The view was beautiful on the lake! We will be back!

  • A cozy great getaway for the weekend! We had a great time and talk about right on the water!!!! Awesome views and the cabin was clean and offered little touches that made our time wonderful! We can’t wait to go back!

  • This is truly a beautiful spot. Listening and watching the loons was magical. It is a real break from the instant demands of our phones and computers.

    Diane2019-08-12T00:00:00Z
  • Hosts are super nice and accommodating. Check in/out was very easy. The place is spotless and it’s right on the water. We enjoyed listening to and watching the loons right outside our cabin! The place was adorable and the view amazing. Will definitely be back.

  • This is a gorgeous place with friendly staff. Just bring linens, toiletries and some toilet paper...you'll be fine. The lake is gorgeous...the peace is amazing.

  • Very clean and comfortable in a beautiful setting. So quiet and peaceful. I stayed to see family in the area but the full moon setting over Harvey’s Mountain, loons calling across the lake and owls hooting in the night were extras that made it a special evening. Will be back when visiting Vermont.

Lakefront, very private home with view of the lake from every room. Spring is upon us and, as the snow melts, we await "ice-out", the sound of the lake waters splashing on the shore and the call of the loons. Enjoy swimming, kayaking or water skiing if you have a motor boat with bumpers for the dock. Looking to relax? Sit outside on the patio in the evening on a star-studded night as Harvey's Lake is a little piece of heaven year round.
Main floor with living area, dining area, fully equipped kitchen and bath with shower stall and bathtub, new sofa bed with full-sized mattress. Gas-powered flame stove for ambiance. Entry way (enclosed porch/sitting area) with radiant flooring wonderful in the winter to slip into warm boots/shoes, also back entrance way with ironing board/iron, linens, supplies. Upper level with king size bed, dresser and small closet space and AC wall unit for those rare very warm nights in summer. Concerned about public safety, visits are separated by 72 hours and the cottage is cleansed with disinfectants and antimicrobial agents top to bottom between guests
Quiet, remote, very peaceful, wonderful neighbors. There is a nearby trail to walk for those who enjoy a walk in the woods
  • Rose is an amazing host! The place is absolutely wonderful! We Had an amazing time, we went skiing, we walked on the frozen lake, watched the beautiful night sky, had delicious breakfast at Lyndonville and enjoyed a wonderful winter weekend! She was very welcoming and helpful with any of our needs! Very responsive and caring! Great place to relax and enjoy nature! Definitely going back in the future!

  • If you are looking for a rejuvenating getaway- look no further and book this place! Our family had an amazing time: cozy house with stunning views, clean lake, and available kayaks. We cooked in the well-equipped kitchen, watched loons, played board games, read books, and explored local premises. It is private; yet, you don’t feel isolated. Rose has been a superb host: helpful and responsive. It was a perfect Labor Day Weekend. We shall be back!

  • What a great and quiet escape to the Lake. Beautiful and peaceful surroundings. We went out on the kayak and swam in the crystal clear water. The dining room and living space look right out onto the water. Cozy for summer or winter. Our three year old had a blast swimming and we had plenty of space for his pack n play in our room. Very private.

    Lauren2019-08-24T00:00:00Z
  • Rose’s home on Harvey Lake in Vermont is a serene, soothing location to unwind and reconnect with a partner. The lake itself is gorgeous and with the kayaks provided we enjoyed several hours on the water and some amazingly close encounters with the resident loons, who sang their haunting songs each night. Rose made the check-in super easy and clear even though she was not on site. When we did meet her, her kind, caring soul was quickly apparent. She truly wants her guests to enjoy themselves and I’m convinced she will continue to make subtle changes to further enhance the already great spot. The gas stove/oven, outdoor gas grill and ample-sized fridge made it easy to prepare our meals. It is worth noting there are quite a few steps from the house to the dock area/waterfront. If a guest had mobility issues (walker/crutches), the landscaped path would probably be difficult to navigate.

    Steve2019-08-18T00:00:00Z
  • Rose’s sweet lakefront cottage is lovely. The lake isn’t overrun with boaters (though we brought out small outboard and waterskiied all weekend) and morning/sunsets are sublime. Lots of herons and bald eagle sighting! The cottage has everything you need. It was clean, comfortable, and as anticipated!

    Erika2019-07-28T00:00:00Z
  • The owner really wanted us to be worry free during our stay. She was very responsive and went out of her way to address any needs. The house was clean and quiet. The lake, as usual, was just beautiful. If you're looking for a quiet retreat into the hills of Vermont on a lake, this place checks all the boxes. My family enjoyed our stay.

    John2019-07-20T00:00:00Z
  • Wonderful family vacation! Beautiful property right on the water perfect for enjoying the lake. The home is very comfortable with amazing views of the water. We enjoyed paddle boarding, kayaking, and paddle boating right from the home. Rose was an exceptional host exceeding our expectations by making the place comfortable and fun for our family including a toddler and an infant. We hope to be back again!

    Carrie2019-07-07T00:00:00Z
  • We had a wonderful weekend in your special place. It was the perfect get away! We look forward to returning when the lake is unfrozen. Highly recommend!

  • Beautiful place, well located.

  • We didn't meet Janet when we stayed but she was very responsive when I messaged her and Woody was very nice and welcoming! We would highly recommend staying with them!

  • I arrived after dark and left early, so I didn't get a chance to enjoy the full ambiance and amenities of the place, but it seemed to be nicely outfitted with both. A great camping option for that area.

  • Lovely place !

    Jessica2019-09-01T00:00:00Z
  • This was a wonderful camping spot and it is clear Janet and her husband put a lot of love into their land. It's secluded, there is a picnic table, fire pit, comfy chairs to relax in, and a lovely pit toilet. I've used Airbnb for camping before but this was far and away the best. They even have a gazebo to enjoy the pond bug free! It's also a great location to explore the NEK. Highly recommend.

  • There's "truth in advertising" at this place. It is what the pics and description say. The location is ideal for an "off the grid" stay in a rustic and comfortable cabin in the rolling hills of VT. I was impressed by the haunting silence of the place. The local area offers a quaint setting for walks on trails and time at the water. Tom made it easy to get in and feel at home. Thanks for a great stay.
