“Want to sit outside after you've walked the Abel Tasman National Park, or just feel like soaking up the atmosphere of the Fat Tui environment? The best hamburgers in town - possibly the South Island, right at your doorstep. Relax while the team in the outdoor caravan put your burger together for you, on one of the outside barbecue tables. Absolutely worth the wait, which can be quite a while in the middle of the high season, but can be filled in with a stroll along the beach at Marahau.”

“the best water taxi experience you could have - live commentary as you traverse the waters of the Tasman Sea alongside the Abel Tasman National Park. Pick up and drop off along the way at a beach to walk part way and water taxi the rest. Great service, fantastic schedule and very well priced.”

“Beautiful secluded beach only a 20 minute walk from Kowhai Cottage. Best time to visit is morning or early afternoon as the sun goes down early over there. Safe swimming for everyone and there is a toilet at the beach. The walk down to the beach from the road takes about 10 minutes, there are steps and ramps - a little tricky with a pram.”

“Take the Wilsons boat to Medlands Beach and hike back to Anchorage. This is one of our favorite walks to take our visitors on, the views are spectacular. the walk takes around 5 hours if you do all the little side trips on the way. The boat ride can be cold so take a jacket, especially if you want to sit up stairs in the open deck.”

“Beautiful Kaiteriteri beach - just a 50 minute drive. Golden sands and crystel clear water; relax in the sun, lunch at the Shoreline or enjoy a real-fruit ice cream on the beach front. It's also the gateway to Abel Tasman National Park - catch a water taxi into the park and explore all this beautiful park has to offer.”
