“Really pretty with a nicely maintained walking trail by the water. Two waterfalls to see. Ball’s Falls has been maintained to its early mid 19th century industrial hamlet atmosphere featuring the original Ball family home, an operating flour mill, a lime kiln, a church, black smith shop, and carriage shed. About a 17 minute drive from the cottage.”

Restaurant
“A popular destination in Lincoln. It's beautifully located on the shore of Lake Ontario and makes for a lovely outdoor dining experience in the warmer months, yet is lovely any time of the year. A varied menu that will be sure to have something to please everyone. There is also a cozy bar if you're looking for just drinks. Make reservations in advance - this place is popular!”

“They brew their own spirts that are hard to find anywhere. Absynthe, strawberry gin and other cocktails. They have food truck sundays in the summer, where a selection of trucks come around and you can eat and drink outdoors.”

“Distance: 5 minute drive (3.3 km) Trip Advisor: 4/5 (58 reviews) The distinctive, Mission-style winery sits just below the forested Niagara Escarpment with a view of Lake Ontario and rolling vineyards. Though opened in 2002, the winery’s vineyard planting dates back to the late 1970s and early 1980s. Over 20 different wines are crafted by Australian winemaker Philip Dowell. The Terrace offers excellent views to enjoy with wine by the glass service.”

“This is the hidden gem of Lincoln, but the word is out. Locals love this place and now visiting tourists do too. It's like going to a neighbourhood pub only with a whole lot more style. Amazing food with an ever-changing seasonal menu, wood fired oven pizza (in the summer), great local wine and beer selections in an old rustic barn converted to a hip place to hang out and catch up with the neighbours. Honsberger Estate is a wedding venue, winery, restaurant, and bar. Everything you could wish for in one place (especially if you're ready to say "I do")”
