  • Thank you so much for having us, what a beautiful setting accompanied by a lovely host. Everything in the cabin was explained to us, we even got to see some deer up close coming up to the cabin after nightfall. Would highly recommend to anyone looking to go to loch Tay. Even though we were staying on the owners grounds we felt like we had our own little spot in paradise!

  • Rosemary’s place is a hidden gem. The pod is in a beautiful location with an amazing view. It’s clean and it has everything you need for a great stay. The breakfast and the welcoming snacks were just a thoughtful touch to make you feel welcome. Highly recommended!!

  • We had a lovely stay in the armadilla, despite the weather! Great views over Loch Tay, lovely extra touches provided and excellent breakfast in the morning. We can’t wait to come back soon.

  • Even though the weather was very wild we had a great night in this cosy wee house. Would definitely recommend, fantastic veiw and great host!

    Emily2020-02-16T00:00:00Z
  • Myself and my partner enjoyed a fab couple of nights in the pod. Rosemary was helpful and welcoming, with good recommendations of what to do in the area. The pod itself was small (as expected) but well equipped with everything we needed. The area is lovely and very picturesque - great for a wee getaway.

  • Amazing place to stay with awesome views of Loch Tay. It was warm and cosy and just what we needed after a wet and windy day exploring Perthshire. Would certainly recommend staging here. Rosemary is a fantastic host!

  • Lovely private room in a sleek, but warm and inviting home. Lochearnhead is a beautiful little town with many fun walks and places to eat near by.

    Sara2020-03-15T00:00:00Z
  • We liked the place, the room we had is a bit small and if you have a big luggage is difficult to find a place for it. Nice area to visit nearby

    Marina2020-02-17T00:00:00Z
  • We had a wonderful stay, a beautiful 1700s building with a modern and stylish interior. Wine by a roaring fire in the evening and a great home cooked but restaurant standard breakfast to start the day. Would highly recommend.

    Rachel2020-02-14T00:00:00Z
  • Melanie has created a beautiful space in a historic building in an incredible area of Scotland. She is also a great cook and has great tips for exploring the local area! We look forward to our next stay!

    Madeleine2020-02-13T00:00:00Z
  • Fantastic place, really beautiful village and surroundings. We just stayed for one night which was fab, the space is so stylish and cozy, had a open fire on the log burner and tea and biscuits on arrival. The breakfast was amazing, the whiskey porridge was really worth going for and Melanie was a great host, so warm welcoming, fun and interesting! Would definitely return.

    Philippa2020-01-28T00:00:00Z
  • We had a lovely stay with Melanie. She welcomed us in, we had tea by the roaring fire - it was such a nice arrival. The whole space was just gorgeous, and the room was comfortable and clean and just so stylish. I loved the little touches that just made it feel so luxurious. January is a quiet time in Lochearnhead I think, but Melanie recommended having dinner at Mhor 84 down the road, and indeed it was a great meal with good vegan options. Breakfast was outstanding - and I'd highly recommend Melanie's yoga class as well! We left feeling relaxed and restored. Overall we felt like we'd been on a luxury retreat and I'd love to come again.

    Alex2020-01-04T00:00:00Z
  • Melanie's place was really cosy and we had a warm welcoming with tea and biscuits. Very sweet place walking distance from the water front. The breakfast was so delicious and it was great chatting with Melanie. Unforgettable wee trip :)

A gorgeous cottage tucked away in the Perthshire mountains, the Dairy is a former dairy on the lovely 40 acre Highland estate of Craggantoul. Newly refurbished, this beautiful semi detached cottage is the perfect hideaway for a romantic break. The cottage has a lovely living, dining and kitchen area with TV, DVD player, Hifi and wifi too. The master bedroom has a king sized bed with luxurious Egyptian cotton bed linen, the spacious bathroom has a freestanding cast iron bath and walk in shower.
As well as fishing rights from our Loch Tay shoreline, guests will also experience a huge variety of bird life and other animals including a family of roe deer who wander freely around the estate during their time at Craggantoul. We look forward to welcoming you soon!
The Dairy is two hours from Glasgow and Edinburgh and is rich in history, wildlife, activities and attractions, with water sports, hill walking, mountain biking, fishing, golf courses, castles and distilleries on the doorstep!
  • My and my girlfriend had visited for a couple of days, the cottage is amazing, it is very stylish and cosy. The hot tub is great regardless of the weather, so quiet and peaceful, can’t recommend enough!

    Adam2020-03-19T00:00:00Z
  • My wife and I loved our stay here - the cottage was so clean and well-presented, the garden and hot tub were great and the surroundings were so peaceful and relaxing. We can’t wait to return to try out one of the other properties! We’d highly recommend staying at The Dairy 😊

    Jonathan2020-03-06T00:00:00Z
  • We had a wonderful and relaxing weekend at The Dairy. The location is fantastic, although the terrible weather Storm Dennis brought meant we didn't really get to explore. It was the perfect place to hide away from the storm and we did get to use the hot tub a couple of times, which was lovely. The space is larger and even better than the photos give credit for. A bottle of fizz on arrival was a lovely touch. Thanks to the hosts for a wonderful break. Jennifer and Jono

  • Lovely property in a beautiful location. The Dairy is very modern, clean and cosy and the hot tub is an added treat! The information book provided at the cottage is detailed and has lots of suggestions for local walks, some of which we did. We drove to a few villages nearby too which were lovely to visit. It was a perfect break away from the city and I would absolutely recommend staying at The Dairy. Thanks Nina!

  • Had a really wonderful stay in Ninas lodge. 5 minute drive from Ben Lawers car park, 10 minute walk to loch Tay and short drive to the town. Private and cosy the perfect get away.

This is a traditional Scottish Bothy that dates from early 1700's.It is a self contained "wee house" that has been modernised. 1 double bed 1 sofa bed with shower/wc. No cooking facilities but tea /coffee provided. Breakfast provided by arrangement at a small additional charge.
Built around 1700 as a Drovers Bothy it has been refurbished and retains the upstairs loft which houses a double bed downstairs we have a double sofa bed. It is the only original Bothy of its type in the village and offers an insight as to how what living was like in the days of Outlander! Although there are a few more home comforts on offer now!
Kippen is a small village just 9 miles from Stirling and 12 miles from Loch Lomond with stunning views of the Trossachs. It is a fantastic location for walkers as well for mountain biking and road cycling. There is quality fishing nearby at the Lake of Menteith where the World Championships were held a few years back. Until the 1960's it was the home of the largest grapevine in the world! Kippen is currently listed in the Sunday Times top 20 villages in the UK to live... so you might want to stay! Kippen is blessed with two stunning award winning pub restaurants (URL HIDDEN) and the (URL HIDDEN) We have a hairdresser, post office / genral store/ butcher and deli/ coffee bar in the village. We also have craft brewery based at the old railway station called the Fallen Brewery.
  • Great little place to spend a few nights if your visiting the area. Quiet and cozy!

    Mitchell2020-04-06T00:00:00Z
  • This Bothy was our first (great) experience using BnB and a good start of our road trip. Everything was clean and Paul was there to welcome us. There was a nice little Pub in town as well.

    Bart2020-02-16T00:00:00Z
  • Absolute gorgeous hidden gem. If you're looking for a beautiful retreat in a tiny wee bothy, this will do the trick!

    Jo2020-02-09T00:00:00Z
  • Lovely cosy Bothy in a friendly village with two splendid pubs. what else do you need. Myself and my brother had a brief stop over enroute from Skye to Edinburgh and had some fine local ale and loch lomond whisky at the cross keys pub. practically -all was as listed - Comfy bed and comfy sofa bed with nice bedlinen. the bed in the roof space has restricted height but is very cosy. There are no cooking facilities but a kettle and a fridge. and you can get a traditional breakfast with the hosts to sort you out for the day ahead and then supper in the village.(we did neither as we were off early in the morning so cannot give any review on that.) Be sure to read the directions to the Bothy as down a lane off one of the main roads and it is easier getting there in the daylight. (I didn't and then couldn't get a signal for contact details so just had to go to the shop and ask in there. ) The shop and the two pubs are nearby and the shop stays open till 7pm . There is no real signal downstairs in the Bothy but there is up the stairs where the bed is. & no tv but board games and books to read. .. a good spot for exploring the area.

    Elise2020-02-01T00:00:00Z
  • Lovely little house very close to the centre of the village. Paul was great and on hand to help, lots of guides and maps in the house for local walks and opening times for the pubs and cafe. Would definitely recommend.

    Laura2020-01-01T00:00:00Z
  • Cosy and quiet, very warm, close to local pubs and walks.

    Barnaby2019-12-27T00:00:00Z
  • Great little place to stay in a lovely village! We were only stopping off for a night on our way further north but would love to come back and explore this area further, would definitely stay in the bothy again. Delicious breakfast and very friendly and helpful hosts. The Cross Keys is a fantastic little pub and everyone is very dog friendly!

Sam’s Cottage is a beautiful, newly renovated cottage with private hot tub in the highland estate of Craggantoul, offering magical views over the meadows, ancient oak forest and Loch Tay, where we have fishing rights. The former steading is furnished luxuriously and has a modern kitchen with all the mod cons. The bathroom is equipped with a spacious walk in power shower to revive our guests after a day on the mountains! We offer books, DVDs and TVs in the living room and bedroom, plus wifi.
  • We had a fantastic couple of days at Sam's Cottage. The Cottage is extremely clean, yet very modern. All the appliances you would need and the bottle of wine on arrival was a lovely touch. Only a 30 min walk to the nearest pub (which was closed 🙈) but it was lovely to get Scottish air in our lungs. We ended the stay sat in the lovely hot tub over looking the incredible view of the loch and the hills, watching the sun go down. Even if it was raining a little the water was lovely and warm. We will most definitely be back. Thanks again!!

  • Beautiful cottage. Spotless and very comfortable. Beautiful views from our window and great hot tub . Will be back xx

    Margaret2020-02-28T00:00:00Z
  • Fantastic getaway, you feel tucked away from the outside world and free to enjoy the hot tub and views from the cottage. The place itself is beautifully decorated and sparklingly clean with all the facilities you could want for during your stay. Such a relaxing peaceful place

  • The cottage and surroundings are beautiful. Book it don’t think about it!

    Martin2020-02-10T00:00:00Z
  • Fantastic cottage with great views. Although there are other properties near by it feels very private

    Stephen2020-02-03T00:00:00Z
  • I was so excited I was almost worried I had built the cottage up too much but no, it was exactly as described. All the information provided beforehand was spot on and made everything easy. Stunning location, cottage was so cosy, lovely decor and hot tub was immense. Made for such a relaxing time away from it all. We scoped out lots of other Nina and Greg properties for a return visit!

    Jane2020-01-27T00:00:00Z
  • Beautiful spot. Lots to do too. We went in January (a risk!) but the weather was amazing. Just check at this time of year though, because some places are closed, e.g. Falls of Dochart Inn and Crannog centre.

  • To think that this magical gem of a hideway is only 50 minutes from Glasgow (the city where we live) is unbelievable. The cottage is cosy and 5 star luxury. The hot tub nestled amongst the trees overlooking the river is perfect. We came in mid winter and the fairy lights and fire made it feel like Spring! Helen and her family are incredible hosts, warm and friendly and we even were offered a horse riding lesson. Thank you thank you! We will be back. An amazing stay.

    Ruth2020-01-26T00:00:00Z
  • We had an extremely relaxing three nights away at Helen's place and we would definitely go back.

    Jim2020-01-05T00:00:00Z
  • My family and I had the perfect stay at Helens Cottage. Autumn was definitely a beautiful time to visit with all the orange leaves. I would absolutely love to go back. The beautiful surroundings and with the games room and hot tub would make it the perfect retreat to go to with a bunch of friends also.

    Fiona2019-11-10T00:00:00Z

  • As a group of 4, we had an absolutely awesome stay at Fabio's cabin. First of all, the view was amazing! Other than that, everything was just brilliant. The lodge seems totally brand new so gorgeous fluffy towels, fully stocked kitchen equipment (baking trays, pots and pans in large and small sizes, loads of utensils, foil, everything you would need in a normal kitchen basically), awesome waterfall shower. A lovely basket of Scottish goodies was greatly appreciated as well. Fabio and his team also provided all the materials for the log burner free of charge (in previous stays we have had to pay for this). Finally, its just a great location with only short drives to some great scenic spots such as Loch Voil and the Falls of Dochart! Can't recommend the lodge enough.

A unique self catering holiday cottage, sitting at the West end of Loch Earn with stunning views down the Loch towards St Fillans and our local Munro Ben Vorlich. Furnished to an exceptionally high standard sleeping 4/6. In the heart of the of the Loch Lomond and Trossachs National Park, a good central base for touring the Highlands and enjoying the dramatic scenery of Rob Roy Country and the Trossachs.
  • A great fully renovated old stone school house. It is now a great modern 3 bedroom house inside. During our stay we had access to the 2 bedrooms downstairs. A nice large living area with plenty of room to relax. A great modern kitchen with dishwasher, breakfast bar, and a connected dining area. A full bathroom with spa jet bath tub, and an en-suite shower, basin and toilet connected to one of the bedrooms. Wardrobes in both bedrooms. Central heating plus wood burning heating if required - we didn't need either as it was quite hot during our stay. Off street parking directly next to the house. Can be a little tricky to get into (or out of) when the road is busy. We found it best to reverse into the parking slo it was easier to see when leaving. Some noise is noticeable inside the house from the traffic on the main road directly outside the house. This is generally not an issue at night when the road has almost no traffic. Nice views across the sheep filled paddock to the Loch and mountains. A great central area for exploring the region. Aberfeldy Distillery is about a 50 minute drive away too and well worth a tour if you like Whisky. Take the Cask Tasting tour for a sample of a great Single Malt straight from the cask.

Graham also gave us lots of tips of the surrounding area. We didn’t manage the walk on the dishes railway line but we hope to be back to do that soon.

Dalveich Cottage is only 40 minutes drive from the Historic Stirling where you can visit Stirling Castle and Wallace Monument. There are many local distilleries around should you fancy trying a "nip" or two! Dalveich Cottage is in a central location for exploring the Loch Lomond and Trossachs National Park, West Coast and Perthsire either or is within a short drive from the cottage. Loch Earn, 30 miles west of Perth, must be one of the loveliest parts of central Scotland. It lies (7 miles long) on the edge of the stunning Trossachs and Loch Lomond National Park surrounded by some really impressive scenery. Flanked by some magnificent mountains (among them Ben Vorlich) it is easy to reach and centrally located for exploring in all directions, offering all you could want in a holiday location. The loch is well known for its water sports, (water skiing, windsurfing, etc) and has marinas at both ends. At the eastern end is the pretty village of St Fillans, which has a shop and several hotels. It also has an attractive golf course, and excellent meals may be had in the club house, which is open to non-players. While the main road runs along the north side of the loch, a little single track road traces the southern shore. Tree-lined, and peaceful, it is a little slice of heaven, made more so by the fact that it offers many impromptu lochside picnic spots which you can have all to yourself. From Lochearnhead at the western end, roads head off to Crianlarich and thence to Glencoe, Loch Lomond or the west coast at Oban. There is great walking and mountain biking too, on waymarked trails in Glen Ogle between Lochearnhead and Killin. Heading south from Lochearnhead, you come to Loch Lubnaig with the Falls of Leny near its southern end and the tourist town of Callander, or turn right at Kilmahog for Brig o’Turk and the Trossachs.
  • Went as a group of four, two of us should have been in Thailand and one in Florida. However due to Covid-19 we could not travel. We decided to book this place for an isolated couple of days and got just what we needed. Beautiful views, isolated enough to be away from others, Morden and clean! The view from the hot tub made some scenic pictures that we wanted to get in Thailand. Will definitely be back in the future.

  • Elizabeth was an excellent and accommodating hostess from start to finish. The property cannot be faulted. Would love to stay again, and would highly recommend to anyone wanting a getaway in style.

    Mohammad2020-03-15T00:00:00Z
  • Dalveich House is absolutely dreamy. I relished three days and nights of complete peace and quiet, beautiful sunrises, spectacular hikes, and of course the hot tub, which really makes the property extra special and perfect for de-stressing. The house has so many thoughtful little touches, from hot chocolate in the cupboard to cozy blankets in every room. The range and oven are very high quality. Check in was a breeze with the key box, and Elizabeth was immediately available and helpful the few times I needed to ask a question. Last but not least, the neighbors-- about 20 or so sheep who graze in the adjacent field-- are adorable.

  • We had the most amazing stay, spending a week walking the hills and exploring the surrounding area. The cottage was a perfect place to return to after a long day out and the hot tub was a lovely addition. It is clear an awful lot of thought went into decorating and presenting the place so we had everything we could possibly need. The views from the cottage are absolutely stunning and there are some beautiful walks within easy reach. A truly memorable stay

    Lou2019-09-26T00:00:00Z
  • This cottage is truely a secret hideway in the nature. You will feel very welcome and like home. Elizabeth was very nice and always answered our questions quickly even late at night. We appreciated the small details in this beautiful cottage but what made this stay unforgettable was the peace and the nature around us. Thank you so much Elizabeth! We will come back.

We enjoyed our last minute stay in such a lovely place, even though it rained most of our stay it was comforting to come in to the heated floors and to put the fire burner on and look out at the rain. • Nicola is a lovely, friendly, accommodating and welcoming host, providing a delightful accommodation in a stunning location. The property is exactly as described in the listing, is great value for money and extremely easy to find. It is dog friendly which was a great bonus for us. We would highly recommend a visit. Our stay was short, but cosy and comfortable and we wouldn't hesitate to book again in the future. Thank you Nicola.

  • My partner and I had a very short and pleasant stay at Nicola's place. We arrived at 8:30pm, where we were greeted and shown around. It was warm and comfortable and we had an excellent nights sleep. We left around 5am in the morning and an easy checkout was organised, Nicola was very accommodating. We stayed here because of nearby Munro's and weren't disappointed by our sunrise walk. I would definitely stay here again.

    Samantha2019-11-10T00:00:00Z
  • A very comfortable and cosy room with great facilities and some spectacular views! It was lovely to meet Nicola also who hosted us for our one night visit. Would happily stay over again!

  • Nicola's place is situated in a charming location deep inside the Killin village. The location is breathtaking and overlooks a lake. The room was cozy, warm and quite stylish too. Nicola ensured every little need was taken care of and made some great recommendations in terms of food and places to visit. Overall it was the perfect retreat and we will highly recommend it !

A beautiful converted Church which has been in the family for 30 years. A 3 bedroom detached house for you to use exclusively without host. There is also a sofa bed/ chair to accommodate up to 8 people if needed. The house is heated by oil and a wood burning fire is available to use. A fantastic peaceful location for walkers, folk touring Scotland and those just wanting time to relax and get away from it all or to spend time with friends/ family.Pets are welcome -please advise if bringing.
Part of Rob Roy walk- near Callander. Lochernhead, Balquhidder, Comrie and St Fillans are all a short car drive away as is Callander. Locally there is a village shop / post office and three hotels / watering holes There are some great walks that can take you to Callander and Balquhidder with some smashing views and treats along the routes. There is a lovely little cafe too in Strathyre where you can get coffee and cake and a wee play park for the youngsters too.
Strathyre is a friendly, small village. The people are lovely and this a great place to get away from city life for a few days and enjoy the fresh outdoor countryside. It’s also a good base relatively close by car to: Stirling (approx 30mins) Edinburgh & Glasgow (approx 60mins) Callander (approx 15mins) Balquhidder/Lochearnhead (approx 10/15mins). This is also a good stopping place if you are travelling on further. There is a village shop / post office for you to stock up and there are plenty of shops in Callander
  • Breathtaking - the church has been stunningly converted, and is set in an elevated location with commanding views across Strathyre to Tom na h’Analach. Barbara is a fantastic host, and will definitely come back in future!

The pod contains a small double bed with 3 seater sofa bed which is ideal for 2 adults alone or with max 2 children. Our Pod contains a storage area for drying of muddy boots and outdoor clothing. Best of all the pod is a 2 minute walk from the main street.

It is lighted by solar powered lights . There is a picnic bench, aswell as additional seats on deck outside pod. There is 4G wifi in village but no specific wifi in pod. We have a small supply of books and games for your enjoyment.
We live in a spectacular village with a local shop, 2 x pubs and an award winning café. There is a play park, tennis/basketball court with equipment available on site, bike hire, fishing, many beautiful walks for all abilities and Sustrains route 7 cycle path going through village. The Rob Roy way is approx. 100 meters from pod.
  • We had a lovely stay at the pod. It had everything you could want. The cooker jobs were a plus to enjoy some steaks with a fridge to chill the vino. The fresh milk and eggs were welcome. Got a nice surprise with the hens at our door in the morning! The pod was immaculate, friendly hosts and ideal location. We did a fair trek on the Rob Roy Way along Loch Lubnaig and on to Callendar to see the Falls of Leny. The local pub, the White Stag did some nice food and lovely place to drink and chat to locals. Would definitely recommend this accommodation.

  • Planned a camp trip but due to a quick change in the weather we had to look for another accommodation, within 5 minutes of booking and confirmation I had all the information I needed to book and the pob was fantastic with nice little touches that make you feel welcome

    Craig2020-03-08T00:00:00Z
  • The glamping pod has everything you need in a single space. The pod was warm and toasty in winter and the sleep I had was amazing. Space was really clean provided everything you will need for cooking, showering and resting. Sweet touches such as the board games and books kept us entertained despite the lack of wifi. Views were amazing!!

  • Alba Pod was a wonderful place to stop for a night on the Rob Roy Way. We hadn't been expecting how cosy and well equipped it would be. A great place to recharge after a day's walking. We were so snug even in the middle of Feb with a storm raging. A really special place to spend time. Many thanks to Lesley.

Welcome to our Cabin on the Loch. Our custom built cabin on stilts over the pristine Loch Venachar. Situated in the heart of the Trossachs, not far from Glasgow, Edinburgh and Stirling. It is a totally private secret escape. This is truly a place to relax and to get away from it all. Just sit on the deck, or take a stroll along the banks of the Loch. The cabin sleeps 2 people and is totally private. A wonderful location for fishing, walking and cycling, (or just chilling).
The Cabin includes bi-fold doors that open to a spectacular view over the Loch and on to the beautiful mountains of Ben Venue, Ben Ledi of The Trossachs range. In the summer there is a daily visit from our red squirrels, and if you keep a close eye out, you'll catch sight of the Ospreys and Eagles. The variety of birds, both woodland and water, is vast and delightful.
The Cabin is in a woodland estate with walking tracks and cycle tracks for all fitness levels.
  • The cabin is amazing and we didn’t want to leave. The views are spectacular! Sue & Henk were most accommodating and provided everything we needed for a relaxing few days away. The surrounding area is also beautiful and there are plenty of walks on your doorstep. We would definitely recommend and will certainly be returning.

Buzzard is a unique 2 bedroomed barn conversion which retains the original stone walls. Views from the estate are amongst the best in the National Park. We've chosen lush soft furnishings, Scottish accessories and natural colours to compliment your Trossachs experience. An ideal cottage for friends or family to socialise after a day of exploring or hiking in the National Park. The wood burning stove and wood fired hot tub provide the perfect evening ambience.
Buzzard is located on a working hill side farm which offers magnificent views of the Lake of Menteith and the surrounding hillside. The great outdoors can be enjoyed directly from your doorstep from which you can hike into the Menteith hills. Or you can relax in the garden in the summer, enjoying the magnificent views, watching the Highland Cows, playing badminton or having a BBQ. Whatever the weather or season there is always lots to do at Nether Glenny Farm: book the 'off road' farm tour in the Kawasaki mule, relax in the hot tub under a star lit sky or simply relax by the roaring fire in the cottage. Only a few mins drive from the cottage is an award winning restaurant which offers lakeside dining and to compliment that there is a great local taxi service which nips up and down our hill regularly. Alternatively, you might decide to choose something from our delicious ' dine in ' menu: choices range from tasty pizza and salad to our incredibly popular Venison Casserole which could not be any more locally sourced as our venison is literally from our very own hillside. The tourist towns of Aberfoyle and Callander are a few miles away and offer a good selection of restaurants, shops, art galleries, whisky specialist suppliers and excellent visitors centres. There is also quality bike hire, water sports, Go Ape, mountains, lochs and glens all within a few miles. Buzzard is open plan with comfortable lounge and dining area. The underfloor heating and log burner make it very cosy indeed. Upstairs there is a chalet feel to the bedrooms and the rooms are spacious, with one bedroom having a shower room and the other a full bath and walk in shower. If you require more or less space then please ask as we have two other cottages on site. There is an abundance of wildlife to be enjoyed; Buzzards, owls, red deer, Osprey in Summer, not to mention the Highland cows, peacocks, sheep and the Nether Glenny cats, Harris and Tweed, who are a firm favourites amongst our guests. Please note that there is a supplement for the use of the hot tub as it is an optional extra due to the fact that we clean, fill and heat your tub per use and details can be found in the ' other things to not section'.
The cottages are set amidst an 84 hillside estate nestled in the Menteith Hills. You will have stunning views of the hills and Lake of Mentieth from all walks on the estate. Although you have lovely views from the velux bedroom windows and from the downstairs windows, the best of these can be enjoyed from walks on the estate.
  • We had the most amazing trip! The location is just perfect with such amazing views! Our hosts were so accommodating and helpful and patient even with our littlest members of the family! We loved our animal visitors and neighbours! The farm tour was fantastic - so interesting and we loved hearing all the plans you have and work you have going on! We really do hope we can all return!!!

    Amy2020-03-12T00:00:00Z
  • Hosts were lovely, cottage felt very quiet and secluded whilst also giving great access to the lochs and amenities. Personal highlight was running in to a highland cow!! Would love to stay again - thank you so much for having us!

    Eve2020-03-05T00:00:00Z
  • We had a wonderful time staying at Buzzard Cottage. There were 4 of us in total (5 if you include our 4 legged friend) and felt very comfortable and well catered for. The rooms are lovely and the finishing touches show just how much care and attention has been paid to the decoration and styling of the rooms. Kitchen is fully kitted out and the wood burning fire was a joy (although we did have to get a bit of help in getting it going). Great location with stunning views and lots of friendly cows and sheep who appeared to enjoy keeping an eye on us. Loved our stay and will definitely be coming back!

    Sophie2020-03-01T00:00:00Z

Matt and Annett welcome you to The Wee Hoose probably Scotland's smallest holiday home. Down a wee lane off the Main Street, you will find a charming cottage: one bedroom, open plan lounge/kitchen with feature wall and bathroom with shower. Callander is a vibrant town in the heart of the Trossachs National Park, indeed, right in the heart of Scotland. We do welcome pets also, but please note the Wee Hoose has NO garden, however, there are plenty of beautiful walks right on your doorstep.
    single travellers
Callander is a vibrant town with loads to do; walking and hillwalking, cycling (for cycle hire try Wheelology off the main square), canoeing on the Teith, eating out etc. For a rainy day, there is McLaren leisure complex with indoor pool, sauna, steam room, gym, indoor climbing wall and facitilies for badminton and table tennis, as well as toddler soft play area.

Cosy log cabins beside the Lake of Menteith THE SPACE Bedrooms 2 Sleeps 4 Bathrooms 1 Free WiFi, not suitable for streaming Bluetooth speaker
DESCRIPTION We have 10 Log Cabins forming a pretty crescent parallel to the shore, roughly 75 meters back from the water. This ensures that once in your cabin, the view from the large, glass sliding-doors is filled entirely with lawn, trees and lake – rather than the back of another cabin. All Log Cabins are separated by a trellis and flower beds around a paved patio with outdoor seating – perfect for that first cup of coffee as the sun hits the lake, or for long summer evenings watching the sun sink over the Menteith Hills. KITCHEN All Log Cabins have views from the kitchen towards the lake, and are supplied with a full-sized cooker with hob grill and oven, a fridge with freezer box, a microwave, toaster, kettle, cafetiere, scales, and all the utensils you need. Click here for a full inventory. LIVING / DINING AREA The living/dining area in the Log Cabins is all open-plan, with leather sofas, large flat-screen TV, DVD player, Anker Bluetooth speaker and electric stove heater. Dining tables are right beside large, glass sliding doors, with some of the best breakfast views of any holiday accommodation in the Trossachs! Ducks are always on hand to help you with any leftovers. BEDROOMS All Log Cabins sleep 4 in a double room and a twin room. In addition, two of the cabins also have double futons in the living area, and are therefore equipped for 6 (though 4 is the more comfortable party size). Beds are made up with fresh linen for your arrival. BATHROOMS Log Cabins all have a shower/bath with curved glass screen and Power Shower. PARKING There is space for 1 car at the back of each Log Cabin. LAUNDRY Our Log Cabins share a communal laundry, situated beside the washing line at the back of the Games Room. There is no charge for using the washers and driers, although you can make a donation into the Action Aid box in the laundry for Kutaifa, a Ugandan girl we sponsor. The entrance to the laundry also has a Weekly Wildlife information board, where guests can add to a what-and-where list of wildlife spotted during the week. WHAT’S INCLUDED Bed linen, towels, tea towels, eco cleaning products, starter pack is all included in the price of your stay. Also on arrival, you will find fair-trade tea, coffee and sugar in your accommodation, as well as salt, pepper, milk and Tunnock’s teacakes and wafers. WHAT’S NOT INCLUDED Everything in the Log Cabins runs on electricity, which is charged at cost; on weekly lets the first £5 is included. An optional ‘End of Stay Clean’ for a Log Cabin costs £25; an optional ‘Mid Week Tidy’ costs £18. IN BRIEF 1 double with kingsize duvet, 1 twin; 1 shower/bath; dishwasher, washer/dryer; Freeview, DVD-player, Anker bluetooth speaker; free Wifi; patio furniture. Bed linen and towels included; cots, high-chairs, BBQ free on request.
The Lake of Menteith is the ONLY lake in Scotland (all other inland waters are called Lochs). Menteith is on the highland fault line so the landscape is a unique mixture of highland and lowland. Most lochs are the waters between 2 mountains. The Lake of Menteith has mountains to the north and flat carse land to the south.
  • Lovely cabin and very friendly hosts

    Rajwa2020-02-16T00:00:00Z
  • What a find! Short stay in No 10 log cabin which was warm, comfortable and met all our requirements. The cabin was very clean and neat, kitchen & bathroom well equipped and the bed very comfortable. I attended the Nick Nairn Cook School (50 mtr stroll away) whilst my husband drove over to join me for the couple of nights booked. Plenty to see and do in this beautiful part of Scotland, our only regret was not spending longer on this trip. On a positive note, having found this wee gem, we’ll return for longer next time and make the most of the facilities and the stunning surrounding countryside. Thanks Victoria for being so welcoming and accommodating!

    Val2020-01-24T00:00:00Z
  • Clean and comfortable cabin with great views, friendly and helpful host as well! No complaints here! Would definitely stay again and recommend to friends.

  • My parents had to change the date of their holiday and Christopher was great at accommodating our new plans, regardless of difficulties expected with rebooking on airbnb system. The lodge was just as expected and served as a great base for a few days in Trossachs.

  • Lochend Chalets is a hidden gem! We stayed 2 nights in the Log Cabin. It was spacious, very clean with a gorgeous view of the lake from the dining area. Convenient location 20 minutes from Callander, set just by the lake admist rolling farms. Weather on the 1st day was gorgeous and we had the most amazing evening sipping wine by the lake watching the sunset. The kitchen was fully equipped and it was easy to whip up dinner and relax withn bottle of wine. We would love to return sometime soon with the family. We highly recommend Lochend Chalets!

  • Superb bed (a must for me), 50 yards from the lake with stunning scenery and all we wanted for a perfect trip. We’d highly recommend this place. Topher and Chris were very welcoming and then left us to ourselves. We wanted for nothing when there. A cute pizzeria on site and the lake hotel is a must for an early sunset dinner. We’ll definitely be back.

Full fire and CO alarms. Charming Village with Post Office, shop and Pubs all within 3 minutes walk. Wonderful forest walks and fishing river literally 10 yards from the Cabin. Dogs welcome, smokers not. Broadband WiFi but poor mobile connections within the cabin however OK in the village.
Cosy wooden walls all around. A real back to nature experience but with the comfort of electricity and a modern fitted kitchen. Technology like the Freeview TV and broadband Wi-Fi will satisfy the kids but pull the plugs and you will be back to the pioneering days of the Canadian forests or Scottish Clansmen and Rob Roy.

This is a gentle family cycle run or walk along what was the old railway line. Cycle hire is available in the village. For the more energetic, Callander and back along dedicated cycle path and forestry tracks, is a good day trip.

  • We had a great weekend here! Check-in was very easy, the location is absolutely stunning with great views and a great base to explore the area! The apartment was clean and warm and had everything we needed! Comfy bed, good facilities. We cooked in both nights and enjoyed the log burning stove! Communication was great. The hot tub was a real treat too! With stunning views! Would 100% recommend staying here and I hope we will be back!

  • Warm, cosy and very comfortable cottage with log burner and central heating. Comfortable bed and cooking facilities for self catering and a dishwasher as well. Pool and hot tub are very good, waterproof shoes are recommended for when making your way back to the cottage as the ground can be a bit muddy and stony. Had a great stay here and would highly recommend.

  • Wish we'd booked a few more nights! Loved our stay here and hope to be back soon, thanks again Rosie and Dave!

  • The Hayloft was much better then we ever imagined. The house is well equipped with everything we needed I the kitchen and we loved the little touches such as the bottle of fizz and flapjack on arrival. The living room space is larger and nicer then we thought with a flat screen tv and blu Ray/dvd player and lots of films to watch (the photos don’t do it justice). The best feature for us was the swimming pool and hot tub. We took our 6 month old daughter so we took it in turns to go in the hot tub but it was so relaxing at night time. The pool was small but perfect as you can change the setting to allow a current so ku can swim against it. The only thing we struggled with was driving along the uneven track to the property but we have a low car so we didn’t want to be travelling on it in the dark. Other then that we moved our little get away and did lots of sightseeing as well as visiting the near by safari park in Blair Drummond

    Rebecca2019-10-23T00:00:00Z
  • Very clean, comfy cottage in a quiet area. Thoughtful touches from host who was very quick at responding. The hot tub was fantastic to relax after a long day of walking. Would highly recommend if you are looking for a place around Loch Lomond

  • Rosie is warm friendly and helpful. The steading was clean and tidy and we had everything we needed. Nothing was to much trouble for them. Would highly recommend visiting.

    Liza2019-10-13T00:00:00Z
  • Had a great time at The Steading, lovely cottage in a quiet location. The hot tub and pool were great. Very relaxing time just what we needed!

  • Lovely place away from the busyness. A great area to explore. The pool is small but a lot of fun. Lovely hosts very hospitable. Very clean. A comfy bed. All round 5 star.

The Barn had been recently renovated to a high standard, with a new kitchen and bathroom. It is situated in the heart of beautiful Killin, home to The Falls of Dochart on the edge of the Loch Lomond and Trossachs National Park. The area boasts various outdoor persuits, with approximately 30 Munros within a 45 minute drive. The Barn has a private car park and access to a shared garden space.
As our guests, you have exclusive use of The Barn and can also access the shared outside seating area. We have guest parking at the back of The Barn. We are situated in the centre of the village, with all restaurants, bars and shops in easy walking distance. The Barn has a spiral staircase which may be unsuitable for some guests.
The Barn is set just off the Main Street. The local supermarket is only 3 more minutes walk away. There is a selection of restaurants, cafes and pubs (all dog friendly).
  • A gorgeous place which is both cosy and spacious. Well located in Killin and a short walk to many beautiful spots. Has everything you'd need for a short stay

  • Paradise in Scotland. The barn is full of lovely touches. A big bed and a fantastic shower make it feel really luxurious. Killin has the best of everything Scotland has to offer, waterfuls and mountains all easily accessible. The pub across the road has great locally produced food. A perfect romantic break.

    Judith2020-03-15T00:00:00Z
  • What a beautiful, clean and well placed unique accommodation. I would 100% recommend The Barn for a night away. We might even return in the future.

  • Great place! Rona is very, gave us some good local tips and useful info about the roads. The walk up the hill behind Killin is a great walk could definitely spend all day roaming the hills! And then come back to the lovely warm space that is the Barn where there's good cooking facilities and a great shower. Brilliant weekend!

  • Killin is a great base for walking, good pub food, or just sitting in front of the cabin's big window and looking out at the hills across the valley. Henry was a considerate and attentive host and I would highly recommend a stay in the log cabin.

  • Henry made us feel very welcome in his amazing log cabin (that he built himself!). The cabin is well stocked with everything you need. The location is perfect for bagging munros or lower level walking with so many mountains, hills and beautiful lochs close by. We had a fun Saturday night at the Falls of Dochart Inn with good food and live music. We would definitely recommend staying here and would look at returning soon. Thanks again Henry!

    Laura2019-12-03T00:00:00Z
  • This place is simply beautiful. There is more room than you would expect from the pictures. It has been decorated with a lot of love. Perfect for spending cozy evenings. Also it has all the amenities you could ask for. Henry was very welcoming and helpful. The cabin is private and surrounded by nature. One note. Heating is not included and you pay for the electricity you use by putting coins in a counter (for heating and other tings). In summer that's a non-issue but in cold weather you should expect to pay a couple of pounds for that. (Henry provides a base amount for power and in our case very graciously added some more because we had to heat the cabin quite a bit). Nevertheless the cabin is still a great value and we had an amazing time there.

    Patrick2019-11-01T00:00:00Z
  • Henry's place has the rustic log cabin feel with all the amenities you would need. It is brilliantly located in the beautiful village of Killin which has the Dochart Falls and a handful of very good restaurants and cafes. Also a great location from which to explore the Trossachs region and a variety of lochs and glens. Henry and Jill are very friendly and helpful should you need anything. The cabin is plenty large enough for a family of four, with two bedrooms and two bathrooms. Lovely view of forest and hills from the lounge picture window and front door. Thank you!

    Tracey2019-09-28T00:00:00Z
  • The cabin has spectacular, uninterrupted, views over the countryside and to the hills beyond. It is fully equipped, very private, and more spacious than the photos indicate. A perfect holiday retreat to enjoy the beautiful countryside, or as a base for walking/climbing. Add to that Henry is a most attentive host.

  • Lovely stay in the centre of Strathyre. Very nice cottage with lots of lovely features. Spacious and able to comfortable accommodate 6 adults. Amenities were fantastic, everything you could need. Lovely little touches like coffee pods, washing powder and milk etc. Great location for woodland walks, and trip to Stirling. Would love to come back and stay again.

  • Beautiful cottage in a picturesque setting... Loads of lovely little touches throughout the place that made us feel more welcome. The ground floor was a bit chilly, and the main road a little noisy outside, but overall, highly recommended.

  • Great stay with the in-laws. The cottage is very comfortable and cosy with plenty of amenities and things to do. We particularly enjoyed our game of trivia pursuit. The scenery in Strathye is beautiful with beautiful views from the front windows. We also enjoyed a trip to the White Stag on New Years Eve who were very welcoming. The entertainment was brilliant too.

Come and stay at this well restored hippy wooden hut right next to the waterside and surrounded by mossy rocks and sheep. The hut sleeps up to three people and has a bathroom with a toilet, shower and sink. It offers a fully equipped kitchen and a wood burning stove.
This wooden cabin is ideal for people who search for a little getaway in natural surroundings near the loch. The hut is located in a beautiful mossy area and the little brook runs right next to your cabin which makes the surroundings even more magic. Your can watch the sheep outside the window while warming up on the fire. The hut has a fully equipped kitchen with a gas stove, oven, fridge, electric kettle and basic equipment like pans/saucepans, a variety of plates, glasses, cutlery and cutting boards. A big table offers space to sit and eat. The living room/sleeping area offers plenty of opportunities to sit next to the fire. Ideal for reading while it is raining. In the living/sleeping area you will find one double bed for two people and one single bed. The bathroom has all basic facilities, i.e. a shower and sink with hot water and a toilet. We also offer you a radiator heater for warming the cabin. The gas is free. The electricity works on a £1 coin meter. 1£ lasts for approximately 24hrs. You can collect some wood in a bag at the farm for £5 per sack or bring/collect your own. As the hut is located on a farm and is made from wood, it is likely that there are mice. But as long as you store your food in boxes where the mice cannot reach it (especially at night!), it is no problem. The 4-mile-track to the cabin is quite bumpy but if you drive carefully, it is accessible with a small car, i.e. that is you do not need a 4x4. Unfortunately, this cabin is not suitable for disabled/elderly people as it is quite difficult to access with a wheelchair or crutches.
The surrounding area is full of wild life including deer, foxes, otters, pine martens and many varieties of birds. Walking is possible along the loch side and up the surrounding hills including Munros Ben Mor and Stabinion and adjacent (easier) Corbetts. Fishing and boating on the two lochs is also an option. We are happy to provide you with fishing permits but please contact us in advance about that. National Cycle Routes also pass nearby.
  • Managed the last week here before the pandemic brought lockdown, and the cabin charged my batteries perfectly in readiness for what came after. The setting is breathtaking, with deer coming down every morning - if it had been summer a dip in the loch would be on the cards. You will need a car to get in and out- its pretty remote, Les was really helpful and friendly but let me get on with things also , I really recommend this place and pray its not too long before they can get the lettings back on track. Best wishes go out to Les and hers and I would love to return here

    Adele2020-03-21T00:00:00Z
  • What an amazing place to stay!!! The cabin had such great character and you couldn't ask for a better location. It was a little cold with it being February so make sure to bring fleeces etc but there is a wood burner to use to keep warm. Overall a fantastic experience. Wood is available at the farm but would also recommend bringing firelighters and newspaper to aid the log burner.

    Sam2020-02-19T00:00:00Z
  • If you’re looking for a quiet get away, in a beautiful wooden cabin, surrounded by glorious lochs and the soft sound of a babbling brook then YOU’VE FOUND IT. Book now. It has both the feeling of solitude and isolation, with the reassurance of there being people at the farm and hostel...should there be any need for human interaction and company. The perfect balance in my opinion. I barely spoke to anyone for more than a few minutes, but felt comforted that I could go up to the hostel if I needed anything. Things to note: Spiders, there are plenty. Obviously, it’s a wooden cabin. I however didn’t see or hear any mice. The cabin is cleaned at check-out by the previous guest (I presume Les or someone also checks it pre-check in when beds are re-made) but generally speaking I guess that means it’ll be as clean as the person before you deems it should be. If you’re going in the winter months, pack thermals. Most of my time inside the cabin I had on thermals under my warmest jumpers, a hat, a shawl, woollen socks and slippers. That was whilst also having the wood burner going and the electric heater. It does warm up eventually but then cools down again within an hour or two if the fire dies down.

  • This is a perfect cozy hide away for recharging and enjoying the stunning surroundings. You have to be prepaired for remote and Maybe check ahead if the ferry really is available. But also just by foot you can explore a lot.

    Viola2019-12-31T00:00:00Z
  • It’s a perfect retreat from the hustle and bustle of modern life. Lots of light during the day, low lighting in the evening. No TV! It’s rustic, it’s quirky and exactly what we wanted after a busy Christmas period! What’s not to love about laying out in front of a log burning stove with a glass of wine, a good book in total peace. It’s not sparkling clean but you’re in a hut, next to a loch a short walk into a field! We woke up to a cute little sheep looking In through the window. Happy Days! If you arrive at night you need a head torch/ torch. Enjoy!

    Helen2019-12-28T00:00:00Z

In response to Coronavirus (COVID-19), additional safety and sanitation measures are currently in effect at this property. My guests well-being is upper most important to me. Spacious house nestled in the quiet, and stunning, Scottish countryside. The perfect venue for family celebrations or a gathering of friends. If you desire a peaceful retreat with some of the best views in Scotland, you've found it!
Overlooking Loch Earn and at the foot of Ben Vorlich, Ardveich is a Scottish estate house that carries an atmosphere of welcome, warmth and tradition. Situated in a very secluded spot with only the farm behind it, you are free to roam the surrounding countryside, so this is a walkers'/ and cyclists' paradise but also the perfect base for country sports enthusiasts as well as families/friends looking for a fabulous home from home. Ardveich House hosts a spacious, bright, open planned and fully equipped kitchen. There is a large, welcoming, beautifully, designed lounge with wood burning stove (fire wood provided) perfect room for sitting back and relaxing after a day exploring Scotlands hidden gems. The stunning, atmospheric dining room is the ideal place to host those celebratory evening meals but for a more relaxed dining experience the kitchen boasts a large table with ample seating for up to 10 persons. Situated at the front of the house is a splendid games room which show cases a Football (fuseball) table, Playstation 4 with games and 2 controllers (bring more if you want) a gleaming 50 inch Smart TV with access to log into your NETFLIX acount along with more gaming delights! This room is ideal for children, teenagers and like minded adults who prefer to relax the modern day way. A delightful sun room is the perfect spot to sit and soak up those marvellous views. A downstairs WC and a utility room with washing machine, tumble drier and clothes pulley complete the ground floor. Upstairs, there are four bright and spacious bedrooms (two doubles, two twin rooms) which are serviced by one modern, sizeable shower room and another compact family bathroom. The enclosed, beautiful garden is the perfect spot to sit out and enjoy a BBQ whilst admiring the stunning scenery that surrounds Ardveich. It really is a sight to behold watching the sun set on Loch Earn. For the more wild campers there is a secluded spot on the grounds where you can roast your marshmallows on the camp fire whilst listening to long tales, hooting of owls and if your lucky enough rutting stags! To the rear of the property is an open ended store/car port where you can park 2 vehicles under cover, 2 more clothes pulley's (great area for hanging those wet suits after a day on the Loch) The firewood and kindling are also in this area, please help yourself! There is also a large lockable shed where you can keep, bikes, sporting equipment etc secure for the duration of your stay. Ardveich is a truly magical house for a holiday or special occasion it offers real individuality with such stunning views. It is one of those places you might just fall a little bit in love with. Should you wish to celebrate/holiday with more than 8 persons. Then you can also book Dalveich Cottage (4 person max) it’s only 5 mins walk along the core path on the neighbouring Estate please check out photos to see distance!
Ardveich House is but a stone throw away from a section of the National Cycle Core Path. The route between Comrie and Lochearnhead (when completed) is just under 20km. It is a section of the 3 Saints Way which is being developed by many organisations between Iona and -St Andrews. It is aimed that the path will link with the National Cycle Network route 7 at Lochearnhead which heads north to Killin and south to Callander. This is a very rural location but the A85 is very accessible at the end of the farm drive (lochside). Behind the house is the shepherd's house and there may well be farming activity during the course of your stay (for example movement of sheep off the hill etc).
  • Outstanding property which met the needs of everyone in our party from 21months to 60+! We feel so lucky to have spent Christmas here, and it felt authentically Scottish for us Southerners. The photos don’t do Ardevich House justice, as it is huge and well, quite simply exceptional! We look forward to coming back again soon, and making more memories.

  • Chara is a brilliant host. Very attentive and quick to respond to messages. The cottage itself is ideally placed for local highlights. The interior was very cosy, clean and well done. The extras of bath salts and shampoos was a nice touch. There was plenty of hot water after a days walking. Beautiful spot next to the river!

  • Chara’s cottage was wonderful. A great place for us to stay with some friends. Chara was super helpful and responsive, the property was clean and had everything we needed, and in addition it had some beautiful scenery of the river! Thank you Chara !!

  • Chara’s cottage is just outside Callander and at the foot of the first of the Trossachs’ wee mountains. It’s a beautiful area and perfect for those who like the outdoors. We were there for a long weekend and only started on all the many walks and other land - and river and loch and air - activities we could have chosen. “Wee mountains”? Ideal shape and heights for children starting off … Ben A’an and Ben Ledi for instance, both a short distance from the cottage, look like real big mountains - with steep bits and rocks and gullies. and super views all the way up - but are of a size that children (and their carriers, and those of greater maturity) can handle. The cottage itself and its garden are right by a proper river, and though it backs onto a main road, that goes unnoticed. The accommodation is very comfortable - we went on a sunny weekend but I can imagine it being snug on a winter’s night. And good for cooking too - we managed a brunch for 10 in the kitchen. Decent food shops (Coop and Tesco plus butchers and super bread shop - try the terrific tattle scones as we all as the stoneground walnut bread) plus the usual Highland wool mills etc in Callander a mile away. And whisky.

  • Honestly one of the best host's I've ever met. 100% deserving of a superhost title. Ulrika and rico were super welcoming and gave us the best suggestions for close by distilleries and ideal walking paths. The house is stunning with a gorgeous, cozy living room. Highly recommend the accomodation. Thanks again to our hosts x

  • The place itself is lovely, and Ulrika couldn't be sweeter. Her recommendation for dinner was excellent, further validated by running into her at the lobby bar after dinner! A great stop on our short vacation around Scotland!

  • We had a lovely sunny stay in beautiful setting. Great hosts. Breakfast delicious. We were made to feel at home. Local restaurants within walking distance limited- unpredictable quality or expensive.

  • Ulrika and her husband are very welcoming and we felt at home straight away. The room is comfortable and very well decorated, like the entire house. Details like little lights in the hallway to guide the way at night to the bathroom, show how much thought is given into every thing. The breakfast was very good as well. A bunch of walks start near the house, Infos about them are available at the house. Would definitely stay there again. Thank you very much!
