  • Pamela was super accommodating of our uncertain arrival time, and the self-contained AirBnB is modern, spacious, thoughtfully maintained and of course set in an absolutely beautiful area of the Cotswolds. Highly recommend!

  • We had another really enjoyable stay at this property. It is rural, cosy, and equipped with everything you need, including a few special touches! It is very clean, and we had no issues with anything. We hope to stay again in the future.

  • Pam's place was wonderful! Her house and her rooms were pretty. She took us to the neareat bus stop in the morning and picked us up in the evening. What is more, she helped us book the nearest pub and the taxi for the last day. Our travel to Costwolds becomes memorable with this airbnb stay!

Not a country cottage so no low ceilings, dark rooms and draughts..just well insulated and thoughtfully designed cabin with large windows to take advantage of the views. Definitely not glamping either as full facilities. Not located on a picture postcard street, just in large garden at end of quiet cul de sac but with main road running behind cabin. No struggle to find parking as ample space in own courtyard. Priced so I can afford to include all the little extras that guests value.
Visiting on own or as a couple then enjoy Super King bed but easily splits into twins. Space in bedroom for cot and single folding bed or double inflatable mattress available for use in Sitting Room. Might be a bit cosy but great if only for a night or two. I have furnished in shabby chic style but with quality items all repurposed to create comfortable but functional environment. Love this quote left in visitor book "You close the door behind you and you've entered a secluded little retro world" You want a bit of peace and quiet well that is relative as most of my guests are escaping town life so find it very tranquil and scarcely notice road that runs at back of property. Others notice at first but soon realise view is more of a distraction especially when dining alfresco or enjoying the stars due to village Dark Sky status. Do remind guests that will need a torch when walking back from excellent Red Lion as no street lights. Having family members with disabilities I am aware of problems finding suitable accommodation so have designed with that in mind - not the complete set up but Octogenarian wheelchair bound friend stayed and he and wife found perfect for their needs. No sumptuous cottage garden - I'm the gardener so have to be realstic. Managed to save a few mature trees during build process in 2015 and much new planting that will be magnificent in couple of years but in meantime my natural border does include grasses and thistles as after all a weed is only a plant in wrong place and bees and butterflies love. Also have bird feeders and nesting box just outside bedroom window and blue tits particuarly love. Have thought about privacy carefully as their are occupants in main property but layout has been thought through to ensure everyone has own space without infringement on others enjoyment. Have had usual trials with IT but now have cabled connection to router and reliable service. Though most of my guests seem to really enjoy 'turning phones off' and listening to late Aunt's eclectic vinyl collection on multi media player. Similarly there is a TV but not dominant plasma screen just one discreetly tucked into corner. Have had guests for long term stays so always happy to discuss options if you need a base while working away or if between house sales.
Little Bulpits (field for Bulls) was Old English field name of field before development and hence unusual name for this property. Long Compton is a charming Cotswold Village located in Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty and excellent walking area (MacMillan Way). On A3400 with Oxford and Stratford on Avon both 20 miles. The Rollright Stones are located on edge of parish. There is a well stocked village shop 5 minutes walk away and popular village pub 10 minutes walk. Local towns are Chipping Norton, Moreton in Marsh and Shipston on Stour. Whichford Pottery, Cotswold Distillery and Hook Norton Brewery located in neighbouring villages. Oxford, Stratford upon Avon, Chipping Campden, Stow on the Wold, Daylesford Farm Shop, Blenheim Palace and Compton Verney Art Gallery are both within half an hours drive
  • We had an amazing stay at Elizabeth’s place. A very big thank you for letting us continue to stay during the current situation. This home was ideal for going on walks around the country side! An enormous bed, warm shower, thoughtful touches all around, we really enjoyed the board games! Would highly recommend and Elizabeth was very quick to communicate with.

    Liam2020-03-25T00:00:00Z
  • We really enjoyed our stay at Little Bulpits. We booked as it is close by to the Cotswolds Distillery and we were able to walk there from the property. Elizabeth is a thoughtful host and was very welcoming - the accommodation has everything needed for a comfortable stay.

    Emma2020-03-15T00:00:00Z
  • Thoroughly enjoyed our short break at Little Bulpits. Everything was as described and we really appreciated the "extras" left for us by our host. Communication was excellent. We found it to be a relaxing and peaceful retreat - comfortable accommodation for two people self catering, and enjoyed good nights sleep after our daily excursions! Location is ideally placed for day trips to Oxford, Stratford Upon Avon, Blenheim Palace and the many small villages of interest in the area. Would love to stay again when in the area.

    Catherine2020-03-14T00:00:00Z
  • Lovely venue, good base to visit places.

    Peter2020-03-08T00:00:00Z
  • Elizabeth’s house is very warm and clean. She is so kind and thoughtful, leaving breakfast ready, shampoos and creams to use. She also helps the environment by allowing guests to separate and recycle their trash (sorry for figuring it out late). Would recommend it in a heartbeat.

    Florencia2020-03-06T00:00:00Z
  • Little Bulpits is the perfect cosy hideaway to get away from the hustle and bustle of life! Excellent amenities both at the property and nearby. Lovely personal touches throughout making it very cosy and comfortable. We wished we could have stayed longer and will be back! We absolutely loved it here and Elizabeth is an amazing host. Thank you!

A cosy Shepherd Hut, named Ronald, set in 60 acres of tranquil Cotswold countryside. Glamping at its finest with all the comforts of home in the great outdoors. Conveniently located 5 minutes drive from Moreton in Marsh, with direct train links to Oxford and London. Durhams Farm is home to over 30 much-loved horses and ponies. Horse riding experiences are available whilst you stay. The perfect location for couples, adventurers and equine enthusiasts.
Camping may not be at the top of everyone’s list during the winter months but Ronald is a very reasonable alternative. We’ve kitted him out with hot and cold running water, heating and electricity too, so you can relax and enjoy all of the comforts of home, in the great outdoors. Ronald has a comfy fitted double bed, with storage underneath and all of your bed linen and towels are provided. The kitchenette is stocked with crockery and cutlery, a kettle, an electric single hob, toaster, fridge and sink. There is private seating outside your hut with beautiful views surrounding. Great for stargazing and the sunsets at the farm are beautiful. During the winter months, radiators will be added to keep you warm. There is a heated shower room a short walk (25metres) from the Huts in a blue cabin. Here, guests have shared (max 4 guests at any one time) access to a shower, WC and sink. Ideal for couples, friends and solo travellers! We have two huts available at Durhams - great for group trips! Apologies, we do not accept bookings for young children (under 10) and/or pets. Wifi is not available in the Hut but can be accessed on the farm all day. Visit the riding school reception to connect your device.
Our Shepherd Hut is set in a stunning part of the Cotswolds within easy reach of picturesque towns such as Bourton on the Water and Stow on the Wold. Stratford upon Avon, Cheltenham and Warwick are both within a 40 minute drive. There are miles of bridleways and footpaths to explore in the surrounding area and some great local pubs and restaurants. Daylesford Organic is 3 miles away too and well worth a visit whilst you stay.
  • Ronald is one of the most calm and relaxing places I have ever been to. The sun wakes you up in the morning, shining right into your face through the window. If you wake up early you can watch a beautiful sunrise. The whole area is so peaceful. You can have lovely walks in the surrounding if you like. I know that most people reach the hut by car. As we couldn’t go by car, we had to take the train and ordered a taxi from the station to the hut - so it’s also doable. But if you want to do a lot of sightseeing it’s definitely recommendable to go by car just because there are so many beautiful spots in the Costwolds that are impossible to reach by foot. But if you’re only staying for the weekend it’s totally doable by train as well. You just have to choose sights that are close by and which you can reach by foot. We met Patricia in person and also talked to Sarah on the phone. Both are lovely people, very hospitable and so nice! We highly recommend this place and would love to come back one day!

  • Will be back! so good

    Tim2020-03-16T00:00:00Z
  • Something different! We had a really special time and I was surprised at all the amenities that could fit into a small place but still look stylish and minimalistic

    Georgie2020-03-10T00:00:00Z
  • Myself and my partner stayed in “Ronald” and I can’t recommend it enough! Parking was plentiful, check-in super easy, the amenities were clean and everyone around the site was very friendly. It was a little muddy on the yard so take wellies in rainy weather, but the hut itself is very cosy, warm and safe, and had lots of thoughtful touches such as blankets, hot water bottles and even little games to play when we were indoors. We got to wake up to stunning views over countryside and of Chastleton house, and the farm has plenty of animals to see! Really enjoyable couple of days, thank you 😊

    Rachel2020-03-09T00:00:00Z
  • Great little cabin for a weekend's writing!

    Mark2020-03-01T00:00:00Z
  • Absolutely lovely stay, as described completely, was lovely and warm when we got there. Little touches such as tea bags which we forgot, thanks for having us! Take wellies!

    Caroline2020-02-20T00:00:00Z
  • We had an amazing stay at Ronald. The hut was so well equipped. Really clean and in such a pretty location! Highly reccommend!

    Naomi2020-02-17T00:00:00Z
  • Ronald was just what I needed for a quiet weekend in the countryside! Sparkling clean, quiet and a lovely little haven. Can’t recommend enough.

  • We stayed at this beautiful home for 3 summer nights and have to say the weekend was perfect. The accommodation was great, everyone had an ensuite bathroom and the grounds were huge with plenty of activities to keep us busy including a BBQ, table tennis table and hot tub. Indoors there was a nicely sized dining room and living room which we could all fit in, and we spent most of our time in the open planned kitchen / breakfast area, so we were very comfortable. Our host left us plenty of guidance prior to arrival and was available to assist with any queries throughout. For a group of friends with young children the home provided an ideal place for quality time and making some great memories.

  • Lovely place in a lovely location. Had everything we needed for 2 nights and didn’t have any issues. The second night was extremely windy and rainy yet the hut was so strong, could barely hear anything was going on outside. The chickens on our doorstep every morning was a highlight. Thank you Sarah, we hope to be back soon.

    Sarah2020-03-15T00:00:00Z
  • Really enjoyed our stay! Easy to find and just a short drive for a nice evening in Moreton-in-Marsh. It was also really sweet seeing the horses on the walk to the loo.

    James2020-03-12T00:00:00Z
  • Really nice get away for the weekend. Excellent location as well as views.

    Lauren2020-03-02T00:00:00Z
  • Lovely place to stay surrounded by horses and chickens who came to say hello to us in the morning outside our window! The showers/toilet, although only a few metres away did seem a lot longer during the night but were exceptionally clean and the toiletries provided were a lovely touch. Would definitely recommend. The location was perfect for our plans being central to where we needed to go and following the local tips provided added to our overall Cotswold experience :)

    Amy2020-02-24T00:00:00Z
  • Wonderful stay. Beautiful views of the sunrise; cozy hut, all sorts of cute little touches and impressively roomy despite looking small from the outside. I would definitely stay here again! A great place if you are walking through the Cotswolds for an overnight stay.

    Mia2020-02-20T00:00:00Z
  • We had such a good night in the hut, check in was smooth, and it was really clean! The kitchenette is perfect. Bed is really comfortable! It was cozy and warm when we arrived with the little heater. Woke up in the field with the chickens outside, picture perfect!

    Alexia2020-02-02T00:00:00Z
  • Sarah’s was excellent! So fun to do something different for a night.

    Charlotte2020-01-28T00:00:00Z
  • I had such a lovely weekend staying in Elsie - could have easily stayed another week :) It was a little chilly as it was mid-January, but there are two small heaters and lots of cosy blankets and hot water bottles to keep warm. It was so nice to wake up to blue sky, vast farmland views and little ducks and chickens outside. Really recommend this for some solo relaxation and reflection time, or a romantic getaway! I didn't have a car and it was okay (you can take taxis from Chipping Norton/Moreton in Marsh or walk a couple of hours if you fancy it) but I do think it would be better to have a car if you want to do more exploring. Thanks Sarah and Pat!

French doors lead out from the living/dining room to the enclosed garden (please note that the neighbouring cottage has a right of way through the garden). The cottage has one off-street parking space at the end of the front garden and further on-street parking is available directly outside the cottage.
The Cotswolds are characterised by attractive small towns and villages, built of the underlying Cotswold stone (a yellow oolitic limestone). In the Middle Ages the wool trade made the Cotswolds prosperous and some of this money was put into the building of churches, leaving the area with a number of large handsome Cotswold stone "wool churches". The area remains affluent, which has encouraged the establishment of many high quality pubs, restaurants and antique shops.
  • This a beautiful cottage and made for a beautiful stay in a picturesque village in the Cotswolds! Perfect for walks and a peaceful stay. Unfortunately we didn’t get to test restaurants/pubs in the area as COVID-19 interrupted our stay with the closing of all these venues! Once the virus has been beaten by our NHS and all others on the frontline I would most definitely recommend this as a country village stay!

    Nic2020-03-26T00:00:00Z
  • We had a lovely stay at this charming cottage. It was clean and comfortable and beautifully decorated. Excellent garden space for the dogs (and humans!). It was especially nice to find eggs, butter, milk and bread in the kitchen, as we were worried about when we would get to the shops. Thank you for the lovely countryside break!

    Roanne2020-03-16T00:00:00Z
  • Quaint, quiet and comfortable, just what I was looking for!

    M J2020-02-21T00:00:00Z
  • A beautiful cottage in a very quiet village. Beautifully decorated with super comfy beds. Although there are no amenities directly in the village there are plenty of lovely walks (which can be found in the books in the lounge) nearby. The welcome goodies mean you don’t have to rush to the shop and can build a trip into your day, as anything is a short drive or walk away. We really enjoyed our stay here, such a perfect break away from the hustle and bustle! Would definitely book again.

  • Character Cottage is a quiet and peaceful place in Sutton, not far from Stratford's small town near Shakespeare's home. Self-driving is recommended, parking is possible. As it is winter, there are few tourists. The rest was good, the cottage kitchen was well-equipped, and the host warmly prepared eggs, milk, bread and butter for us. The bedroom is on the second floor. Although small, it is very welcoming. The bathrooms are great, with romantic bathtubs and comfortable shower rooms.

  • Honeysuckle cottage is an amazing stay! It is cute and cozy. We got everything we needed to stay comfortably. Everything was very clean and they provided us with milk, bread, butter and eggs. And special thanks to Chris for helping us out when our car got stuck at the parking spot. He was quick to respond and easy to communicate. We arrived at night (it was very dark) and didn’t realize we accidentally ran over a small rock n got stuck. 😂 Luckily it was okay. Overall, it was a perfect stay!

  • Had a lovely weekend stay at The Stables. Toasty warm, tasteful accommodation in quiet rural surroundings. We enjoyed first-class hospitality from Caroline. I was visiting the area with my mum to take her to visit old friends, so the downstairs sofabed was ideal for me, as was having a non en-suite bathroom! In all a very relaxing stay - and somewhere we hope to stay again.

Set in the traquil surroundings of Lower Nill Farm this wooden cabin has glorious views across the Cotswolds with all the amenities to make your stay a relaxing break away from hectic life. Lower Nill Farm is just a short distance from the historical village of Hook Norton. Hook Norton is famous throughout the world for its brewery which has been making beer since 1849. Lower Nill Farm is also located on the historic D'arcy Dalton way which spans the length of the county of Oxfordshire.
The Cabin is an oak framed structure complete with exposed beams/trusses and vaulted ceilings which make the space light & airy. The glazing makes the most of the views looking out to Brailes Hill and beyond, it also makes a great space to watch local wildlife. The Cabin also has a huge garden at your disposal perfect for summer BBQ's and for children to play safely. The plot is in a very peaceful part of the farm an excellent place to unplug and relax.
Lower Nill Farm is located in the spectacular Oxfordshire countryside. It's a great base to explore the Cotswolds and also historical cities and towns like Oxford, Stratford upon Avon, Warwick, Banbury, Chipping Norton and Leamington Spa. The local village, Hook Norton, is a very picturesque place where agriculture and brewing have played a huge part in the prosperity of the village. The local brewery is the home of Hook Norton ales and a huge source of local pride. A visit to the brewery shows you a process that has barely changed in 200 years in a majestic building purpose built for the serious business of making beer. Other local gems are: -Whichford pottery and the adjoining Straw Kitchen Cafe -Broughton Castle -The Rollright Stones -Upton House -Chastleton House -Blenheim Palace
  • We had a really relaxing stay at Jonathan's cabin. The views are wonderful and it is extremely quiet and peaceful. There are tons of walks to explore nearby and the fireplace is perfect for a cosy evening in with a glass of wine. The cabin has all the cooking amenities you might need as well as plenty of maps, books, etc. on the local area. The local ales were a really nice touch.

  • This stay really made our trip to the Cotswalds. It’s a bit outside of the Cotswalds, but if you have a car, it’s easy to get around. You can tell a lot of attention went into making this the perfect farmhouse. One bed is a pull-out couch but the duvets they provide are lovely and it’s nice to sleep by the fireplace and see the view out the windows. We really loved the fireplace and the wood/fire starting materials made it easy. The kitchen is lovely for cooking with all the utensils you need. We brought milk but didn’t need to, as they provided some. The hosts greet you and come by if needed. This rural stay outside of the Cotswalds was everything we needed for a weekend getaway from London!

  • Wonderful location!

    Jonathan2020-02-17T00:00:00Z
  • We stayed here 2 nights in Feb. Really cosy and quiet. Nice extra touches, like leaving the place stacked with board games, dvds, books and even a couple of bottles of the local beer from Hook Norton Brewery. Holly was there waiting for us when we arrived and showed us around. She was available via text at any time should you need her. Just a note that no toiletries were provided so dont forget those. They kindly left us some milk, orange juice, tea etc. Kitchen is fully functional and has everything you need to prepare dinner. The place is on a working farm so pitch black and silent of an evening - the perfect escape.

    Lauren2020-02-15T00:00:00Z
  • Lovely place with fantastic views. Good communication throughout and loved the local beer!

The Barn is a pretty Cotswold-stone building in a quiet village. A great base for relaxing & visiting the Cotswolds, Oxford, Blenheim Palace or Bicester Village. Just 5 minutes drive from the historic market town of Chipping Norton, with plenty of shops & relaxing coffee stops. The village pub is 5 minutes walk. In winter a log burner makes it cosy. There are footpaths 'from the door' and great mountain & road biking too. We love welcoming UK and international guests & business people.
There is a small kitchenette area with kettle, toaster, fridge and microwave but no oven or hob. We provide several types of tea and ground coffee as well as cereals, fresh milk and bread or Hot Cross Buns to help you start the day. The Barn is a detached building with its own entrance. Whilst The Barn dates back to the late 1700's, it's been fully renovated and is light and airy. In the summertime, you can pin back the french doors to enjoy sitting in the sunshine. You'll be staying in a wonderful rural location but with great access to many interesting, historic and iconic locations such as Blenheim Palace. Other local attractions include Daylesford Organic, Soho Farmhouse and, if you like shopping, the famous Bicester Village is only about 30 mins away. Our village pub - The Salford Inn - is just 5 minutes walk down the hill. It's recently been beautifully renovated with Cotswold stone with original beams on show. The chef serves light meals and daily specials. For those who love walking and biking, you'll have great access directly from The Barn to fantastic Cotswolds countryside. This is what a previous guest, Patrick said: "Can't say enough good things about staying at "The Barn". If you get the chance, stay here! We had such an amazing time, definitely the highlight of our trip to the UK! You went way above and beyond and we hope to be able to come stay again one day" The kingsize bed has a John Lewis Natural Collection pocket sprung mattress and the bed base has drawers for extra storage. There are both firm and medium pillows for you to choose from. A previous guest, Adam, said this: "Thank you for a great couple of days away from the city. We loved everything about our stay in The Barn. The location, the fire, the breakfast and probably the comfiest bed we’ve ever slept in." One of our previous guests, Charlotte, said "Nell & Tim are so friendly and helpful - would 100% recommend their gorgeous little place to anyone looking for a base in The Cotswolds area!" Our central location in the country means that we regularly welcome business people to The Barn. We have good WiFi and there's a round table to work at if needed. Our Keysafe gives flexibility in accessing The Barn if you're running late.
You will never be short of stunning sights and unforgettable days out when you visit this part of the world! The pre-historic settlement called The Rollright Stones, dates back to 4,000BC and is just a few minutes away by car (slightly longer by footpath!). The local market town just 5 minutes away - Chipping Norton - was an important wool centre from the Middle Ages, with Bliss Mill a wonderful local landmark. There's a busy market in the town every Wednesday and once a month on Saturday's there's also a Farmer's Market where all sorts of local produce and crafts are available for sale. For something a little bit more 'upmarket' Daylesford Organic Farm Shop is just a few miles away, as well as the Michelin Star 'Wild Rabbit' which serves high quality seasonal and local food.
  • We stayed at the Barn for a much needed weekend away and loved every single second. The hosts were incredibly accommodating, despite the fact they were away at the time of our visit, they still provided us with breakfast, lots of suggestions for things to do and were always available if we should need them. The location is perfect, with lots of walks around and things to do nearby. I would definitely recommend this place!

  • The Barn is really comfortable, Nell and Tim are friendly hosts who provide lovely extra touches such as fresh breakfast items. We only stayed for a night but it would make a great base for exploring the area

  • The Barn was a really lovely bolthole for us to have a relaxing weekend in a fab part of the country. There were lots of thoughtful touches including biscuits, breakfast and a new fire laid each day. Nell and Tim were very welcoming and gave great local tips. Would highly recommend!

  • Lovely stay. The room is exactly as advertised. Nell and Tim are really welcoming and we loved the log burner and breakfast. We had a fantastic day in nearby oxford and a lovely Indian in Cafe Le Raj in chipping Norton. I would highly recommend.

  • The Barn is lovely, we love the fireplace and the room is exactly same as described. The location is easily found by google map, a quiet and charming little village, we could see lots of stars even in the garden. We will definitely come back if we have a chance.

The space was extremely clean and has lovely touches like chocolates on the pillows and items for breakfast that make your stay even more enjoyable. We found the location very convenient to tour the beautiful Cotswolds area. Thank you again Nell and Tim!!

Our cottage is situated in a quiet and peaceful location just over 1 mile from Shipston on Stour. It is an ideal spot for relaxing or exploring the North Cotswold villages and the National Trust properties nearby.
The cottage is a 2 bedroom (one double and one twin) barn conversion. It is all on one level.
We live on the edge of the beautiful Cotswolds. Whilst being well located for access to towns like Stratford upon Avon.
  • I would highly recommend staying at pool meadow cottage becaue I stayed for a week with my wife and two children the cottage is clean tidy, there's lots of space inside and out. There was lots of spectacular views. It was very peaceful and quiet I'd definitely be returning.

  • Toms place is immaculately clean and in a fantastic quiet location. Extremely comfortable beds and a great bathroom with 2 showers. The photos don’t do the cottage justice. If it’s peace and quiet you want, this is the place. Would highly recommend

The Studio forms part of an independent annexe set in a secluded garden. . It comprises of a comfortable bedroom with wet room en-suite and it’s own Lounge/ kitchenette with wood burner.
The Studio is quiet and special place in a small hamlet just 2 miles from the Cotswold town of Chipping Norton. We are Pet friendly. the Wood will be included and provided for the woodburner
The studio is set in the quiet Hamlet of Heythrop which finds you in the gateway to Cotswolds . There is immediate access to public footpaths and farmland from the doorstep, suitable for walks. Heythrop has just 20 or so houses, mostly Victorian Estate cottages, a phone box, postbox and a large church built for the Heythrop House.
  • We really enjoyed our stay in Kate’s property, it’s very close to Chipping Norton which is a lovely town to stroll around with great restaurants! We also had nice trips to Oxford, Bourton on the water and a walk around the Cotswolds wildlife park. The studio itself is really well equipped for a weekend away and is very quiet and private, a perfect weekend!

    Sarah2019-12-15T00:00:00Z
  • Very cosy, quiet and private, we loved the wood fire especially. Kate and Jon were great hosts.

    Kate2019-12-08T00:00:00Z
  • This is a lovely little place to stay and the bedroom is separate to the living space which is nice. Amazing shower and lovely bathroom, very clean. We went with our 2 dogs and it’s nice that you can let them out and there is a fence so they are enclosed in their own little garden. We didn’t t really venture out but collected a takeaway from nearby Chipping Norton which was lovely. There is no cooker but there is a microwave and toaster. The wifi was not working which the owner apologised for and it is in the process of being upgraded. A lovely cosy little Space which I wish was my holiday home lol.

  • Great little spot for a relaxing stay

    Lucy2019-10-22T00:00:00Z
  • This is a perfectly brilliant little spot in the country near the Cotswolds. Fantastically cozy and clean, absolutely charming people, wonderful location. Kate and John are outstanding hosts, and the cottage itself enough to make you want to live there. Old church and fantastic cemetery a few yards away, and a very old Inn for supper if you can make the drive a few miles down the road. We got very lucky with a massive October Hunter's Moon over the fields, but I will unhesitatingly recommend this spot regardless of time of year or weather.

    Kray2019-10-15T00:00:00Z
  • Really enjoyed staying here. It was a lovely space which was looked after very well. It was spotless in terms of cleanliness and the log burner gave it a real homely feel. Kate was super accommodating of us and our dog which is rare to find but makes it great for us. Not usually one to comment on bathrooms but the shower was outstanding, could have been there for days!

Very clean, with the top floor bedroom and bathroom all to myself. Shahissta even offered breakfast in the morning! A lovely host, very chatty and friendly. Would definitely stay here again if I ever come back to the area.

  • South View is perfect for a relaxing break in the Cotswolds. The Annex was clean and cosy with everything we needed for a short break. Despite Storm Dennis we still did a 6 mile walk from the village which was quite an adventure but good fun. We arrived back soaking wet and covered in mud but after a hot shower it was a real pleasure to sit in front of the log burner with tea and cake. The bed was really comfortable and we would definitely return.

  • Just book it is my advice for anyone reading this review. A great studio in a perfect area with lots of history. We loved the studio so much and can’t wait to return. It was spotless and our host Alison and Mike where available if needed but gave us our privacy. The surrounding areas where idyllic filled with fantastic and welcoming people - food available around the studio was nothing short of perfection. Thanks again for everything including the cookies they where great !!

    Chris2019-09-19T00:00:00Z
  • What a gem of a place this is. The studio is immaculate and Alison and Mike the perfect hosts who are there if you need them in the magnificent adjoining Manor House. Well tucked away, the village is extremely friendly and I would definitely recommend going to the pub directly opposite for food and drinks. We were made to feel like one of the locals. All the must do visits around the Cotswolds are within a 30 minute drive or so which makes this a great base. You will not be disappointed.

  • Had a lovely stay at the annex. It was really clean, tidy and cosy. Had all the amenities to cook and even comes with a little dishwasher to save on time! Lots of choice in terms of films, and cds if you're wanting to crash earlier. Bed was really comfy too. Only thing is there was not loads of things to do in the immediate vicinity of the annex, as the nearest town is a 15 min drive away. However, the annex itself was well described, great value for money and simon the host was very helpful in helping to point out some of the locals. Overall, had a great time and would recommend!

  • This lovely annexe is immaculately clean and very stylish. The hosts Simon and Helen are both very friendly and happy to assist with anything. The bathroom is particularly nice with very large shower and modern fittings throughout. Bed very comfortable. Good location for exploring the area with lots of eating and drinking places within easy driving distance. We are both tall and made contact with the sloping ceilings at the sides of the room on a regular basis :). Has everything you would need for a short or long stay. Would highly recommend this lovely place.

My dog lilli particularly enjoyed the picture window I the bedroom where she could watch the world go by and the rabbits at sunset. The garden is beautiful and there are so many little touches that made the stay for the bathrobes and the typed note on an old fashioned typewriter that made the stay. If you enjoy bird watching and wildlife In general, this is the place for you. Lisa is incredibly friendly ( les and will we’re away) and so welcoming. We will definitely be back and would recommend this p,ace to anyone.

Settle into country life in our refurbished Farmhouse. Your bedroom has rustic country decor with vintage furniture, an amazingly comfortable emperor bed plus double aspect views over the surrounding village. Your room HAS ITS OWN ENTRANCE and is completely separate to our living areas.
Our farmhouse has a magical garden and views. Balscote is a ‘chocolate box’ village (or as one kiddy wink said, ‘its exactly like my fairy garden’) close to lots of local hotspots. We are a 10min drive from the centre of Banbury but you will feel like you are in the middle of no where in our sleepy little village. My husband and I live here with our two kids 5 & 7years old but don’t worry we use the other side of the house so you won’t hear us.. too much. They sleep between 8pm - 7am so it’s definitely quiet then but we are happy for you to make noise (My kids will sleep through anything). We moved here, from london, a couple of years ago so can give advice on what’s happening or recommendations for anything you might like to do.
Balscote is a sleepy village with a local pub, park and a lovely old church. There is plenty to do in the surrounding area if relaxing/sleeping/walking is not high on your agenda. Please note: the closest shop is in 10min away in Banbury or Bloxham so come prepared.
  • Great place to stay, bed is as massive as described. Cinnamon was a great host with lots of local tips sent beforehand. Enjoyed the friendly local pub nearby.

  • If you are looking for something a little bit different this is place to stay. The photographs don’t do the bedroom justice. The rustic feel is so calming & peaceful with lovely views from the charming windows. Cinnamon was a lovely host nothing was too much trouble. • This is absolutely one of the most memorable hamlets we have ever stayed in, it is absolutely gorgeous and you should not miss the opportunity to stay here. Cinnamon is a wonderful gracious friendly hostess, and her home is an absolutely fabulous old country home with a beautiful back garden, a lovely view and the biggest bed I have ever had the pleasure to sleep in, the bathroom is enormous and the shower huge too. The home is the quintessential crooked old English house with uneven floors and tiny doors, (watch your head coming out of the bathroom) . If you are looking for the real British experience make your reservation right now, you will not be disappointed.

  • A delightful hideaway farm house in a beautiful North Cotswolds village. Cinnamon went above and beyond in making sure I had a wonderful stay. Best kept secret in the area!

    Kerrie2019-12-03T00:00:00Z
  • Cin was very helpful and made checking in / out very easy. The space is decorated nicely and was perfect for what we needed. Although it is part of the house, the separate entrance gives you plenty of privacy. Thanks again Cin!

  • Cinnamon’s place is an absolute gem.....it was so lovely we stayed an extra night and would have loved to stay longer !! The bed is amazing, the decor is stylish, you have total privacy but Cinnamon is only a text message away if you need anything. We loved walking around the village, so much to see, so much history and the locals are so friendly. We had dinner at the local pub on Friday night and it was probably the highlight of our past few weeks in England!! The food was great but the company was amazing and we met the nicest people . All I can say is do not hesitate, book the room at Cinnamon’s and I can guarantee you will love it!!

  • We stayed here a for 10 days this March, after extending our stay because we enjoyed it so much. The setting was beautiful being surrounded by the gorgeous countryside. Bryony and her mum were great at offering us all we needed. We arrived to find fresh eggs, homemade bread, coffee, milk, tea, biscuits and chocolate dotted around the house which was a lovely touch. The cottage was also so clean and well kept, with internet and Netflix for us to enjoy. There is all you need in the local town of Shipston-on-Stour but would recommend a car. I couldn’t fault the place on anything, and feeling very well looked after. Will definitely return!

    Katy2020-03-27T00:00:00Z
  • Lovely place to stay in a quiet countryside location. We spent two nights here to celebrate our wedding anniversary. Thank you for the thoughtful touches and the fresh bread.

    Vikki2020-03-17T00:00:00Z
  • Wonderful space, good getaway from the city life. Owners are super friendly and helpful with our stay. Perfect for 5 guests.

    Ishpal2020-03-15T00:00:00Z
  • Highly recommended. Beautifully decorated with great amenities in all rooms. The home cooked bread was a great touch and cooked to perfection. Beds were extremely comfortable, great water pressure. It was a home away from home.

    Michael2020-03-13T00:00:00Z
  • Just wonderful! We stayed at the Coach House for 2 nights for my husbands birthday. The place is beautifully clean and beautifully furnished. We were met with fresh cut flowers and freshly baked bread and a view to die for. Such comfy beds and great amenities we didn’t really want to leave the cottage :-) we did though, and visited the local village and enjoyed a lovely walk in the nearby Little Rollright and saw the wonderful Rollright Stones. A fabulous stay and we all agreed we’d love to come back!

    Clare2020-03-09T00:00:00Z
  • A lovely quiet rural retreat. Clean and well looked after. We didn't need a lot of looking after but Bryony was very helpful for anything we asked.

    Paula2020-03-01T00:00:00Z
  • Our visit to Bryony’s place was just perfect. The house is big and while the main rooms are huge, they still remain cosy and warm. The main thing we noticed was the quiet, the house was incredibly peaceful and it was just what we needed for our break. Bryony had placed some wonderful little details that made us feel very welcome from the moment we stepped into the house. Bryony was also very quick to answer messages and questions. The place has plenty of room to park and is not to far from some wonderful locations (we drove into Stratford which took around 15-20 minutes). We have stayed in some wonderful AirBnBs over the last couple of years for holidays and when attending friends’ weddings but we both agreed that this has been our favourite AirBnB experience so far. Highly recommend. Thank you again Bryony for letting us stay!

    Matthew2020-02-23T00:00:00Z
  • We had an excellent stay at the Coach House. We travelled during a named storm and Bryony was very communicative regarding road conditions, both running up to and the day of our travels. Really helpful and quite indicative of the attention to detail throughout. A very comfortable place (nice and warm) in a tranquil setting. The little one definitely loved exploring the and seeing all of the animals. Hope to be back.

    Chris2020-03-16T00:00:00Z
  • Lovely little annexe just 30 seconds walk from a great gastro pub. Louise made sure the place was spotless and that there was plenty of breakfast options and decent coffee too. Comfy little pad with everything you need. Would definitely recommend.

  • Louise is a wonderful hostess. Her place is spotless. Her provision of basics for breakfast was excellent. Her place is warm and comfortable. We wanted to tour Stratford. This was a perfect place from which to do so.

  • Lovely little place. The Den is stylish and fully equipped with everything you’d need for a long or short stay. Breakfast items were provided, cereal, bread, yogurt, juice, butter and jam. Towels and shower essentials provided too. Lovely little gastro-pub a 30 sec walk away, food was nice- service left a lot to be desired though- obviously this has nothing to do with Louise. Sky tv and Wi-fi provided for downtime. Although attached to the main house, we had a lot of privacy and space, although I knew if there were any issues ( there was none) I could approach next door with ease. Thankyou for a lovely break away Louise, wish we could have stayed longer and Thankyou Emma for the warmest of welcomes.

    Naomi2020-03-04T00:00:00Z
  • Very clean and tidy studio. Was met by Louise who was extremely friendly and welcome. Great value.

    William2020-02-27T00:00:00Z
  • We were visiting the area to go to a friend's birthday party and Louise's place was perfect. A comfortable self contained space with kitchen facilities for preparing food and drinks too. Wonderfully clean and a warm welcome from our hosts with caring touches such as providing a fan as the weather was so warm. All we needed for a continental breakfast was in the fridge so that we could take our time in the morning. A great place to stay.

    Rick2018-07-01T00:00:00Z
  • This very clean private suite has everything you will need, including a queen bed, private bathroom, kitchen and living area. Louise is a great host and provided many extras and special touches. A bit out of the way, but well worth the drive.

  • Perfect place to stay if you need to feel at home and have all the amenities you would do in your own house. Sky TV meant we could snuggle down and watch a movie and relax as we would at home.

  • Julia was a lovely host, was easy to contact and provided great instructions for getting to the property. The accommodation itself is fab. There were three of us staying for the weekend and we had a lovely time. The house itself is very clean, really comfy and lovely little touches like local jams and honeys to welcome us. There is also a wood burning fire which was great after a day of walking in February! There is plenty of information about the local area and it’s in a perfect location to set off on foot for a day of walking. The house itself is located on the same plot of land as the main house but is very private and there are two very friendly dogs to greet you as well. Overall had a lovely weekend and would highly recommend!

    Daisy2020-02-23T00:00:00Z
  • Julia’s place is gorgeous and in a beautiful setting. Nice touches, like the locally produced jams and honey with some fresh bread. We would definitely stay here again.

    文艳2020-02-01T00:00:00Z
  • The Mill Cottage and surroundings is a really special property. Julia was the perfect host. There when we needed her but it also felt like a totally private and quiet get away, even though they live on the same property. The garden and stream (races) are magical and particularly enjoyed by our dog. The house is well equipped, super comfortable beds, special touches throughout and lots of useful local information. Enjoyed lots of walking, shopping and eating too much in lovely local pubs.

    Katie2020-01-02T00:00:00Z
  • This is a perfect little country getaway. We were there in November which was a little wet, but I can imagine that in spring and summer and early fall it would be just beautiful. Public walk ways are just a short walk away, the house is clean and has everything you need. Julia was a super host!

    Sara2019-12-01T00:00:00Z
  • Julia's cottage is a lovely place to stay for exploring the Cotswolds. We really enjoyed our stay at Mill Cottage and would definitely recommend it!

  • A charming weekend spent in the Cotswold; just a short walk from the Cotswold distillery where we were able to sample the local gin. Julia was a fantastic host, leaving us to our weekend but on hand should we need anything. The cottage is ideally located to enjoy the local area; a particular treat was the Straw Kitchen cafe for brunch. We would visit again!

Long Compton lies at the northern edge of the Cotswold escarpment in South Warwickshire. It nestles in the valley of a tributary to the river Stour. As its name suggests, it is linear in form, stretching for almost a mile along the main road with spurs of development, principally on one side. Long Compton is known for its pretty thatched cottages, warm Cotswold stone walls, ancient church with an unusual lychgate, and above all for its glorious countryside. It is within the boundary of the Cotswolds Area of Outstanding Beauty and much of the village is protected by conservation area status. The Village is well situated to visit local towns of historic and special interest such as Chipping Norton, Moreton-in-Marsh, Shipston-on-Stour, Startford-upon-Avon & Stow-on-the-Wold, and also to enjoy walks in the beautiful countryside including the Macmillan Way, and Shakespeare Way. Long Compton remains essentially a farming community. The countryside and landscapes are highly valued by all who are lucky enough to live here. Long Compton is a village and parish in South Warwickshire. It is part of the Cotswolds Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty and has many of the characteristics of a typical Cotswold village - thatched limestone cottages, medieval church, pretty hedge-rowed lanes leading out to gentle green hills. It is a lovely place to live and visit and is fortunate to be positioned within easy reach of both Oxford and Stratford upon Avon, as well as all of the well-known attractions in the Cotswolds itself - the Neolithic stone circle - the Rollright Stones - is within walking distance.
  • We had a lovely stay in Nick’s beautiful place, really peaceful and quiet! The kitchen was fully equipped to make nice meals together, and there was lots of space to spread out and work remotely. We especially loved the fireplace and the card games available to play!

  • We really enjoyed our stay in the cottage. It was just perfect for a relaxed family weekend to celebrate a birthday! The house itself is charming and full of wonderful historical features. The kitchen is well equipped and the property itself is well located to explore Long Compton and surrounding area. The village itself is lovely, with good village shop and brilliant local pub. Would certainly recommend and would love to return in the future!

    Robert2020-03-09T00:00:00Z
  • Charming little place - exceeded our expectations. Just the right blance of rustic charm and mod cons... comfortable beds and sofas, with a well equipped modern kitchen. The living room is gorgeous, and was perfect for curling up in front of the fire after a day of sightseeing. There was a little road noise at times, but this didn't bother us as the traffic disappears between 10pm to 8pm... in any case, there is perfectly comfortable annexe (with it's own sitting and shower rooms) you can sleep in away from the cottage if the noise were to bother you. Would happily use again - highly recommended.

    Darren2020-02-14T00:00:00Z
  • Beautiful home, perfect for a quiet getaway with a group in the Cotswolds! Plenty of character. Parking on the road was a little tricky as we had a few different cars and the neighbours didn’t seem thrilled about it... but Nick was very clear with check-in and everything else went smoothly.

    Jasmine2019-12-09T00:00:00Z

  • Stone Walls Cottage was lovely for a weekend getaway in The Cotswolds! Fit 5 of us comfortably, and the wood for the fire was a wonderful touch. Would definitely visit again!

    Valerie2019-10-28T00:00:00Z
  • A really charming home. It's in a village so not too isolated but still quiet and peaceful. There's plenty of space and just the right mix of old (cosy sitting room) and modern (kitchen, bathroom). We had everything we needed for a weekend trip and felt very at home. We didn't use the annex as there were only three of us but it's great if you have a larger group with kids who may need their own space. Lots to do nearby, best to have a car though. Overall I would highly recommend this property as a base for exploring the Northern part of the Cotswolds.

We are 3 minutes from the small town of Chipping Norton and all that it offers including banks, ATMs, supermarkets, coffee shops, chemists, butchers, flower shops and book shops. We have 3 great music festivals in the local area in July and August and we are located right in the middle of it all.
  • Absolutely lovely cottage that exceeded my expectations. Nigel is quite possibly the most friendly and helpful man in the Cotswolds. He was great with my son and had excellent tips and suggestions for the surrounding area. The cottage is located behind the house, in a quiet and peaceful corner. The entire estate is gated- safe and no passing traffic. Inside, Nigel has thought of absolutely EVERYTHING. The bed was incredibly comfortable- I felt like I was sleeping on my favorite Westin Heavenly Bed. The kitchen was better stocked than my own kitchen back home! They have obviously gone through a great deal of time considering what their guests could want and need for their stay. I was very impressed. All in all, this was a perfect retreat.

  • The hosts, Laura and Nigel, were very helpful in recommending what to see and do in the local area. The cottage was very comfortable and had everything you needed during your stay. Car parking right outside the front door was both secure and an added bonus. Good location for seeing the Cotswolds and also for exploring Oxford city centre.

  • What a lovely cottage! Secluded, clean and so cosy. The kitchen is well equipped, milk on arrival, comfy bed and towels and cowshed products! We loved our stay here, perfect for a chilled weekend away. A little chilly on arrival but soon warmed up with the fire on (would recommend taking slippers) the area itself is lovely, everyone is so friendly. We can’t wait to return in summer!

    Nicole2020-03-08T00:00:00Z
  • My boyfriend and I spent a wonderful few days here. This place really has everything you could possibly need. The log burner gives the place such a cosy atmosphere, so much so that we barely wanted to leave. We still miss the bed which was probably the most comfortable nights sleep we have ever had. We definitely felt like the place was our own and appreciated the privacy, whilst knowing that Laura and Nigel were available should we ever need them. Definitely recommend!

    Stephanie2020-03-06T00:00:00Z
  • Perfect base for Cotswold exploring. Wonderful cottage which was very welcoming. Every appliance you could possibly need and great touches like fresh milk from a local farm and eggs from Laura and Nigel’s chickens. The cottage is beautifully decorated with modern kitchen and very homely log burner. Nigel’s recommendations on walks and local pubs were so helpful plus there are games and books if you have any spare time. Highly recommend and 3 nights was not long enough! Thanks for such a wonderful stay.

  • Another fab stay at this stylish cottage in lovely surroundings. Close to lots of things to do and places to visit. We have been lots to Cotswolds and keep coming back. Equally Stables Cottage has a great sofa and a log burner for cosy nights in. We will be back.

  • What a great place to stay. You want to escape the rat race but still be close enough to places to eat and drink, look no further. Great hosts who offer lots of tips and recommendations. Beautiful cottage with peace and quiet for miles. Salford itself has a small pub and is lovely for a stroll. We took a 6 month old and Nigel and Laura helped out with baby bath and toys. Anyone who stays here will not be disappointed. Thanks very much both

  • My wife, our 8 month old and I really enjoyed our few days at this cottage nestled in the cotswold countryside. The value for money is exceptional! The kitchen and bathroom have underfloor heating which is so nice when making the first cup of tea of the day; and the log burner in the lounge really adds to the cosy atmosphere. Yes, the beams are low and the stairs are steep, but this just adds to the quirkiness of the cottage - plus I’m 6’ 3” and didn’t have much trouble. Our only regret is that we couldn’t stay longer.

  • We loved our stay at the Cottage. It‘s simply wonderful. If you are looking for a quiet romantic place in the Cotswolds, this is just it. Close to Oxford, Stratford-upon-Avon etc. William was a great host. Everything was just fine. We would go again any time.
