“The World's Oldest Amusement Park: About a 20-minute drive north of Copenhagen, Bakken amusement park is a folksy version of the Tivoli, with numerous restaurants, cafés, and fun things to do - especially for younger children. Believe it or not, this has been a leisure facility since 1583. There are no less than six roller coasters and more than 30 different rides, including a ghost train. The surrounding wood and parkland is particularly pleasant, and there are excellent train and bus links from the city-center for those who aren't driving. Nearby, you'll find Klampenborg with prestigious villas and excellent bathing. ”

“An extremely bizarre yet gorgeous natural park full of deer, with the world's oldest (and strangest) amusement park, Bakken, inside. Bike or take the train to Klampenborg for a long walk through the park, then hit Bellvue beach while you're at it. What a delightfully strange day trip !”

“"Bakken" is a 400 years old amusement park situated in a forest outside Copenhagen (20 min train ride from near by Nordhavn station) and is a super choice families with small / big kids. Combine the visit with a swim at the Bellevue Beach close to the train station (Klampenborg) where you arrive / depart. Many locals consider Bakken to be more fun than Tivoli.”
