  • Wonderful little beach apartment with a million dollar view nestled in between two large (mainly private) beaches. Very minimal, perfect for our needs. Very clean. Shops, groceries ect. 5 min drive away. Ate breakfast on the porch and spent a bit of time on it during the evenings as well. I can't even imagine how incredible this space is during the summertime. Thanks again! Will be back for sure :)

    Felicha2020-02-24T00:00:00Z
  • You'll fall in love with the place and probably become a regular... I know we'll be back again 😊

    Philippe2020-02-16T00:00:00Z
  • Cute little place. On the second floor of a 3 level house. Each level is rentable plus a little cottage behind the house. You can hear the neighbors but everyone was respectable. We brought our own sheets and blankets because we were nervous it was going to be cold but the heat worked quick and well. Sunrise over the water was seen from bed, beautiful. We walked to dinner about 30 minutes away and really enjoyed the walk even in February! Small bathroom, does not have a kitchen but did have a mini fridge and microwave which was perfect for our 1 night stay. If we were staying longer we would look into renting one of the units with a kitchen. Great for the price!

    Jessie2020-02-14T00:00:00Z
  • William's place was a great place to stay and has a beautiful view of the ocean. It is very affordable thank you.

  • This place is perfect for a getaway right on the ocean! You really can't beat the views. The sunrises and moon rises over the ocean are just incredible. The beds are comfortable and provided pillows are plush. Will definitely be booking again.

Cozy, isolated, well stocked cottage cleaned by a professional cleaning crew awaits your visit.
Walk to the village for entertainment, a sail, hiking or exquisite dining; or stay at 'home' where there is plenty of room to relax and cook fresh local food from the farmers market or co-op. Want to get away from it all? Tucked away in a quiet neighborhood, the cottage gives you a place to 'hang your hat' while exploring all the area has to offer. So bring your toys, there is plenty of space to store them. Taking day trips from here is perfect since we are centrally located to many of the most popular sites and activities. Two people will find the space very comfortable. There is plenty of safe parking if you wish to stroll to the village to sit by the harbor, shop, attend an event at the opera house or have a nice cup of coffee. Come visit and enjoy our beautiful mid-coast area!
  • The home is very small, but still has everything 1-2 people could need. This is a cozy comfy tiny house, which is very clean and close to Downtown Camden. I’d recommend the home to anyone passing through the area.

    Tony2020-02-24T00:00:00Z
  • Wow what an adorable cottage to stay in- almost like a “tiny house”. Full kitchen with a stove, refrigerator, toaster and other cooking utensils. Different kitchen condiments left to use. The bed was comfortable and very cozy. Cottage is easy to find and very close to town! Town is adorable and fun to walk around with great restaurants and breweries. Power went out in town and Margaret was quick to respond to help us figure out why and even offered to send someone over to look at our electricity (this was before we found out the power went out in the whole town). Camden is a cute, quaint small town with friendly locals. Great stay for a great price! Will come again.

    Kelly2020-02-19T00:00:00Z
  • My boyfriend and I stayed at Margaret’s place during a Birthday / Valentine’s Day getaway. We wanted to escape from our busy life in the city for just a little bit and this turned out to be the perfect destination for just that! It was extremely cozy. Especially during the cold, winter nights. It was also very quiet and a convenient distance away from what Downtown Camden has to offer. We would definitely stay again if we’re ever back in the area!

    Gabrielle2020-02-15T00:00:00Z
  • This place is so cozy and warm! We traveled to Camden for a quick overnight trip and were so pleasantly surprised at how comfortable our stay was. Don’t let winter deter you from a Maine getaway! Would absolutely stay again at this cute cottage for two.

    Kendi2020-02-11T00:00:00Z
  • My boyfriend and I visited Camden in February to celebrate our anniversary and we absolutely loved this cute little cabin! Perfect location, spotlessly clean and just the right size for a couple. Enjoyed hiking Mt. Battie and sightseeing in the area; grocery store and downtown very close. Highly recommend!

    Stef2020-02-10T00:00:00Z
  • Very cozy, warm atmosphere tucked away in quiet suburbs. Very clean and host was good with responding.

Close to Wells beach and Route 1 shopping, restaurants, and etc. Private with its own full bathroom and full kitchen that's located in the room. High-Speed WiFi, and AC/heat. Comfy Queen size bed w/ bedding linens, towels, Full sized fridge, ceiling fan, first aid kit, toilet paper, iron, blow dryer, and a water filter. I don't do long term rentals for the summer but please message me if you'd like to do a long term rental from October-May :)
For some reason the better pics I took weren't able to upload so I can airbnb message them after you book upon request. The place is nice and 99% of people really like the lodging. The room, it's full bathroom, and full kitchen is private and located in the flat with a private entrance. Has a queen bed that's clean and refreshing. There is plenty of natural light during the day from the windows and curtains for privacy. Open Concept. There is a full gas stove, oven, pots/pans, microwave, toaster oven, as well as all the basic cooking utensils. There is everything from spices to cook with to silverware and plates/bowls. Fully functional kitchen and a table to cook and enjoy a nice meal on. There is no cleaning fee so I highly encourage guests if they are able to follow the easy 3 step check out procedure to help expedite turn overs so that guests can quickly check in after you. Due to parking space limitations, if you bring more than one car, then please park your cars in back of each other instead of taking another parking space.
During the summer, many come from all over to enjoy the beautiful weather and beaches for a time of relaxation and unwinding. Wells is a very laid-back and welcoming place to vacation due to its beaches and the people that live here; having a reputation for being the friendliest town in Maine :) Wells also offers local mom&pop shops, delicious dinners and restaurants along Route 1.
  • Wonderful large room with big kitchen, full sofa, tv, etc. Very spacious and comfortable.

  • You absolutely cannot beat this place for the money. Really good-sized studio space with a huge kitchen and Roku TV, which is great. Everything's really clean and well kept up. Bring your own K-cups, but the Keurig was also a nice touch. Loved staying here for 3 nights and would absolutely stay again any time I'm in the area.

  • If you're looking for an Airbnb experience that you will never forget, stay at Alan's beautiful cottage! I was looking for somewhere to go and work on finishing my novel and his place ended up inspiring me beyond belief. Sunsets and mountain views like you have never seen before. The cottage is so cozy and warm, even in a full blizzard. Full of small touches, books, instruments from around the world that made it even better than I expected. Alan was an amazing host as well -- friendly and extremely accommodating. He showed me around the rest of the property, which has a rich international history-- an historic Opera house on site. Water/ bay views a short 5 minute walk away. I'd recommend this place to anyone looking for rest and retreat and I will definitely be returning soon!

  • Great stay! Easy walk into town and the surroundings. We would most certainly stay again when we come back! Thank you!

    Tavish2020-01-13T00:00:00Z
  • Amanda's place in Camden was a great find. Clean, comfortable (the bed with its heavy, warm comforter was absolutely lucious on a cold winter day!) and it had all the amenities we needed. It is centrally located in a lovely neighborhood. Amanda was very quick to respond to every question we had.

    Mark2020-01-08T00:00:00Z
  • Very cute place to stay close to downtown Camden. Clean and comfortable and perfect for a small family and travelers with dogs. This was our second stay and we plan to come back!

    Meghan2019-12-27T00:00:00Z
  • I enjoyed staying at Amanda’s place with my two dogs and my sister. Very clean and super cozy place with easy access to town. Would 10/10 recommend!

    Sarah2019-12-10T00:00:00Z
  • Amanda’s apartment was fantastic. We had a very spacious lounge and dining area downstairs and upstairs was the bedroom and bathroom. Both rooms had a refrigerator which was handy. We used the small, well equipped kitchen facilities to prepare a couple of breakfasts during our stay which was nice to be able to do after being in the road for 5 weeks. The apartment was very clean and very warm. A strong NorthEasterly storm came through during our visit, and while many others in Camden lost power, we did not and we remained well protected and warm. The location is excellent as it is a 5/10 minute walk to the town centre, so very handy but very quiet at night enabling great sleeps! Thanks for a great stay.

    Charmaine2019-10-19T00:00:00Z
  • Amanda was very responsive whenever we had questions, which was great. Her place has a good amount of space to spread out in. The location, in a nice quiet neighborhood, is wonderful. It is a very easy walk into town and is perfectly situated for exploring the mid-coast area (eg Belfast, Rockport, Rockland).

    Susan2019-10-12T00:00:00Z
  • Amanda's place is lovely and in a fantastic location in the heart of Camden. It's on a nice quiet street but easy walking distance to the action around Main Street and the Harbour area. The neighbourhood felt very safe walking back to the property at night. It was nice and clean and comfortable with plenty of amenities and literature of local interest. Parking was very easy on the shared drive with Amanda's house. Although Amanda lives just across the drive, she is not obtrusive but is on hand, if you need her, to answer any queries about the property and provide recommendations for dining, visiting etc. All in all we had a great AirBnB experience with Amanda and would highly recommend her place as a fantastic value for money base to explore Camden and its surrounding area.

It's listed as entire space/apt because nothing is shared between you and the other space. The bed is Full sized and a Futon bed that 99% say is comfortable.
Wells is a very friendly and inviting place to vacation and lives up to the town motto of being the friendliest town in Maine. Maine happens to be Vacationland so we hope you come and vacation with us. Wells has plenty of eateries and places to shop along route 1.

Experience the airiness of life up among the pines in Georgetown, ME. Unique structures perched atop 21-acre wooded hill sloping to water views. Set in classic coastal Maine village with Reid State Park beaches and famed Five Islands Lobster Co. River views from the King size bed, through wall of windows. 4 Day minimum (but if you see an opening between other bookings, drop us a note - you'll have to select a random 4 days to contact us.)
Part tree house, part tiny house, this abode is called "Isle au Haut" ("High Island"), named after an island in northern Maine. The dwelling consists of two elevated structures connected by a rope bridge (elevated on posts and trees). We've used vintage and salvaged materials when possible. STRUCTURE #1: a bedroom, with a wall of south facing windows affording stunning river views. Includes KING SIZE BED (or two twin beds upon request). STRUCTURE #2: includes a small kitchen and dining area with large windows for water views, a small full bathroom, and a screened-in porch with rockers and river views. Kitchen includes: two-burner stove, sink, small fridge, pots, pans, dishes, toaster oven (no regular oven). NOTE on PICS: the exterior pictures included here are actually pictures of our other tree dwelling ("Madawaska"). Madawaska's two structures are connected by a deck, as you can see, whereas Isle au Haut's structures are connected by a rope bridge. PLEASE NOTE: as much as we love pets we have a strict no-pet policy in our dwellings! AUTUMN VISITS: Come stay in the tree dwelling in Autumn for stunning views of foliage. The dwellings are well insulated and contain heating units. THE VIEWS: Both structures have views across down the large tidal Back River. In the distance you can see where the Back River meets up with Kennebec River just before both flow into open ocean and past Seguin Island (where a light house was commissioned by George Washington). Across the Back River from the land lie hundreds of acres of pristine conservation land. Part of the year, this tree dwelling will be used for the Seguin Artist in Residence Program at the Back River Institute, which is under development. Use of KAYAK's and CANOE's are included with rental and available at anytime during your stay NOTE: We also have a brand new tree dwelling with a wood fired cedar hot tub and a second bedroom, which can be converted into a living room space upon request. See our listing on Airbnb called "Modern Tree Dwelling with Water Views and Cedar Hot Tub"
We are located in the picturesque coastal village of Georgetown, Maine (which includes Five Islands). Reid State Park, with its beautiful, sandy beaches and hiking trails, is just a few miles from us in Georgetown. Be sure to visit the Five Islands Lobster Co., for best lobsters, lobster rolls, fish sandwich, corn on the cob--and harbor views. Five Islands Farm and Gourmet Market is excellent source of fine wine, beers, local produce, meats, cheeses, gifts. Also check out the Robinhood Free Meetinghouse online for local live music events. We are a ten minute drive from the town of Bath Maine which has great coffee shop (Cafe Creme), bookstore (the Mustard Seed), deli (Live Edge), grocery store (Bracket's Market), health food store (Bath Natural Market), great yoga studio (Ebb and Flow), BBQ (Beale St. BBQ), fine dining (Salt Pine Social), Maine Maritime Museum, and locally famous Reny's! We are 20 minutes from Brunswick with Bowdoin College, Sea Dog Brewery, Gelato Fiasco!, coffee shops, great restaurants and bar/restaurant/hangout (Frontier), indie movie theatre with couches (The Starlight). We are 30 minutes from Freeport, for original L.L. Bean store and outlets. We are 45 minutes from Portland, with its exploding, world-class restaurant/foodie scene.
  • The treehouse is amazing. I recommend planning on spending time at the treehouse and at Reid State Park. We really enjoyed the quiet and the views and left as little as possible.

    Katie2019-10-27T00:00:00Z
  • The treehouse was a slice of heaven on earth. The breezes blowing, the leaves rustling, the views of the bay and inlet, the bridge connecting bedroom to the kitchen & bath was fun and made us feel adventurous. Just a remarkable place. The design was rustic and yet had everything one would need. Just so thoughtfully and tastefully done. We loved the treehouse and our time there!!

    Rachel2019-10-25T00:00:00Z
  • This place is magical! My boyfriend and I love to visit Maine and this was our second time visiting the tree house. If you want to completely relax I highly recommend booking this tree house!

    Amber2019-09-11T00:00:00Z
  • We loved our stay here. It is cozy and the small space is very well thought-out. We loved sitting in the screened deck and taking in the morning views (chilly in September, but still nice!). The location is great; you feel like you’re in the middle of nowhere, but it’s still very close to small local stores, shops, and small towns are not far either. Marsha is very helpful and provided many suggestions of things to see in the area. We totally planned our vacation around this beautiful Airbnb, and it was a great relaxing and nature-y experience. I’m not usually one to repeat trips, but I’ll be very tempted to visit here again someday!! Thanks Marsha!

Close to Wells beach and Route 1 shopping, restaurants, and etc. Private bedroom with its own full bathroom that's located in the bedroom. High-Speed WiFi, and AC/Heat. Comfy Queen sized bed with bedding linens, towels, mini-fridge, ceiling fan, first aid kit, toilet paper, iron, and blow dryer. I don't do long term rentals for the summer but please message me if you'd like to do a long term rental from October-May :)
For some reason the better pics I took weren't able to upload so I can airbnb message them after you book upon request. The place is nice and 99% of people really like the lodging. The bedroom and its full bathroom are private with the bathroom located inside the bedroom. Has a Queen bed that's clean and refreshing. There is a mini-fridge located in the room. There is plenty of natural light during the day from the windows and curtains for privacy.

This rustic and simple one-room cabin was built around 1902 and was used as a fishing camp. We've taken it out of the deep woods and relocated it where it now overlooks the south side of our 12 acre pond. It is now outfitted with electricity, wood stove and there is ample kitchen and counter space with propane stove and double sink, as well as a small dorm-sized refrigerator. When temperatures are warm during late spring and summer, there will be running water in the cabin and a hot water heater. The water is delicious and clean for drinking. Don't worry about bringing bottled water! A sweet little outdoor shower out back is for your pleasure in the summer, as well. The driveway is 2.6 miles long and is a maintained but sometimes pretty rugged dirt road. Four-wheel drive is not necessary in the summer time. There is an outhouse about 125 ft or so from the cabin. Shower and flush toilets are available in my house, which is just down the lane (about 200ft away). There is also an outdoor shower behind the cabin now too! The pond is great for swimming and boating. We have a flat bottomed row boat and canoe for you to use while you're here. An aqua-zip line is available for those with a sense of adventure. Please take not that fishing is not allowed on the pond, as we are protecting a small fragile wild Brook trout population. A small market garden and greenhouse are in operation nearby and there are three other houses on our part of the mountain, all on our property. It is never very busy or loud, but there may, once in a while, be other people enjoying the pond, beach and boats. I do just want to mention that the cabin is deep in the woods up a mountain, and hosts all the wilds have to offer. You may have glimpses of moose and mouse, frogs and flies; by the nature of living here we play host to them all. In the interest of full disclosure, I want you to know so that you are aware that critters are here in our area and sometimes in our living spaces. Just about everyone has embraced them so far but some who have not ventured in the woods before have become surprised to see a mouse which made them uncomfortable to be around. Please be the judge on this for your own creature comfort! EARLY SPRING and LATE FALL IN THE CABIN: You will need to keep your own fire in the wood stove going to keep the cabin cozy. I can provide instruction if you are unfamiliar. Water is provided in two 4 gal jugs for washing up and will need to be heated on the stove or in the electric kettle. If you need more, you can refil the jugs in my house. Please think of staying here as a rustic, off-the-beaten path retreat. Winter driving experience on icy and snowy roads is a plus as the conditions and weather varies considerably! 4-wheel drive is a must in the winter. This piece of Earth is a beautiful place for people to relax and play, and that is why I'd like to share this space with you. Come for a weekend, or come for a while.
  • We had such a wonderful stay at Anna's cabin. There was some snow on the ground during our stay, which only heightened the peaceful and cozy vibes. We loved observing all of the wildlife tracks on our walk up to the Bean Hill overlook. The evenings were spent reading by the wood stove and stargazing over the pond. Anna was the perfect host. We will be back to appreciate the space in spring/summer/early fall!

    Joel2019-11-18T00:00:00Z
  • This might be my favorite place on Earth! We loved staying in Anna's little log cabin. The cabin is very cozy and comfortable, and the surrounding area is beautiful, especially the pond! Anna is very friendly and helpful. We would love to visit again!

    Joshua2019-11-04T00:00:00Z
  • Great getaway. Anna was helpful, accommodating and very welcoming. Highly recommend.

    Scottie2019-10-29T00:00:00Z
  • What a fantastic location! It is the perfect getaway. There is no light pollution whatsoever so the stargazing was incredible. We visited during late autumn, and still enjoyed a few (extremely quick) jumps into the super cold pond for an invigorating wake-up and then cozied up by the wood stove inside. It was soo nice! The kitchen is extremely well stocked with dishware and cooking requirements. All you need is the food to eat! Note that the refrigerator is camp-size, so if you're going for an extended stay, you'd want to avoid bringing food that requires refrigeration.

    Madalyn2019-10-27T00:00:00Z
  • An amazing place. I'm a mechanical geek and this place has it all. I wish I knew Anna's father, Jim years ago. A mile long zipline, hydroelectric dam, diving zipline, tree houses, dome house, even saw the remains of a vawt, green house, woods, and more woods and a beautiful drive up a mountain to get there. The cabin is rustic and perfect for forgetting everything. Everything you need is supplied, so you can just relax and have fun. Couldn't ask for more!

    John2019-10-16T00:00:00Z
  • It was our 6th time staying at Anna's cabin and, as always, it was absolutely perfect! Such a magical, blissful place where we can escape from the world. We can't wait to return again (and again!)!

    Timothy2019-10-09T00:00:00Z
  • Love it, was amazing every aspect. Can't wait to do it again.

    Lesa2019-10-01T00:00:00Z
  • An incredibly great place for an unforgettable vacation! Everything was absolutely perfect, we immediately felt at home. Words can not describe how unique this little piece of earth is, we will definitely come back next year and look forward to it. The hut, the lake and everything around it is just worth the trip to the "far north".

  • This trip exceeded our expectations. The treehouse is easy to locate & close enough to town that you can get anything you need from grocery stores, pharmacies & shopping. We also ate at a lovely local Irish pub. You really feel like you are in the trees. The 2 screened in porches are amazing! Especially the one that hosts the dual fireplace! That was my favorite cozy spot. Even in winter we were toasty warm! The Treehouse had a fully equipped kitchen which included a stove, refrigerator, microwave, toaster oven and coffee pot. It also included pots and pans, silverware, cutting board, dishware and mixing bowls. The treehouse was exceptionally clean, with extra touches like a clean sponge, dish & hand soap as well as extra towels. The bed was comfortable-we only used the one downstairs. There were additional beds in loft as well as a 1/2 bath. The master bathroom was really unique with a jacuzzi tub, sauna & steam rain shower. Angie & Haze were wonderful hosts. They responded quickly to any questions as well as providing great directions. The hosts respected our privacy completely. It’s very clear that a tremendous amount of work & love went into the design. It was really neat to see the engineering & the trees growing up through various places in the house. We would highly recommend the treehouse and hope to be back in the fall for a visit.

  • I didn’t want to leave!! The treehouse far exceeded my expectations. It was so cozy and comfortable. It snowed while we were there and you could see it through all of the windows. It was magical. The extra touches with the awesome shower, jetted tub and sauna made us feel like we were in a private resort. It was wonderful.

    Stephanie2020-02-15T00:00:00Z
  • Angie and Haze’s place is truly a magical find in an unexpected area. Warmth & coziness are at the top of the list, with class and fine taste in furnishings a close 2nd. Every attention to every detail makes this Airbnb one of our favorites! We’ll be back! (Lol, even though we live just miles always) Thank you!

    Mallory2020-02-03T00:00:00Z
  • What a cool spot! We stayed during the winter which made this experience so warm and cozy. The two way fireplace adjoining with one of the two outdoor decks was an amazing touch. There were plenty of kitchen/ cooking items which added to our convenience. Check in was a breeze as we simply needed a code to enter. Angie and Hazen were also very quick to respond to any questions we had which was appreciated!

    Pete2020-02-02T00:00:00Z
  • The treehouse is such a cool spot to take a break from the hustle and bustle of everyday life. The master bath has super awesome amenities and the jacuzzi was so relaxing. You can walk anywhere in town within minutes. Basic kitchen and bathroom essentials provided. One queen memory foam bed and one fouton can sleep up to four. Large living space-this is an older apartment with older kitchen and bath-it is simple-not luxurious or modern-but it is clean and in the best location. Please appreciate the value of my space-that it is affordable, clean and large, with a retro flare and in a very desirable neighborhood, walking distance to everything on the peninsula. however, be advised, there is no tv and towels do not match and I have never been to ikea. This is the 2nd floor of a 3 unit and the second floor walk-up has steep steps, consider this if you have mobility issues. One Window a/c unit in bedroom, radiator heat (steam heat=white noise which apparently bothers some) I live below and tenants live on the third floor-you will hear occasional sounds throughout the building from residents and even though it is a quiet street you may still hear people on the street (it is an apartment in a city-after all). There is no parking for air bnb-even though there is a driveway-the spaces belong to tenants...guests parking in the driveway for a few minutes to unload luggage is fine..guests have usually been able to park easily right on my street at no cost. Street parking is free on most streets in the neighborhood-Just read the signs as there are usually 2 nights a month overnight parking is not allowed on certain streets for cleaning. Guests arriving late in the evening may have trouble finding street parking. There is also a $5 daily parking lot on commercial street next to Irving gas station about a 3 minute walk. This is a quiet building and no partying is allowed. The apartment is located on a dead end street off park street on the right called Stetson ct-it is a block away from the landmark historic Victorian mansion on park street and danforth. Additionally, early check-in or late check-out can most likely be accommodated with a $20 fee. That said anyone staying beyond the 11 am check out for whatever circumstances will receive a $20 payment request.. Thanks
Portland's west end is such an amazing neighborhood, wandering through these tree lined streets filled with incredible architecture is one of my favorite pastimes. Smile at everyone out for a stroll and enjoy the beauty and character surrounding you. Rosemont market, oh no cafe, and speckled axe coffee are all staples of the west end. Commercial street is two blocks away and uptown or downtown are both 10 minute walks.
  • Beautiful and affordable place to stay with a very nice host who was very helpful and responsive! Would definitely recommend to people visiting Portland :)

  • This is a giant place with plenty of room for staying in and feeling like you're at home. Perfect part of town, friendly and helpful notes, generally lovely all around.

  • This place is in a great location. There was a lot of snow while we were there, which made it a little more difficult to walk around the city. Sharon was great about helping us navigate the winter parking bans that were instituted because of the snow. I would recommend this place to anyone who wants the ability to exploring the city on foot.

Relax and unwind at this cozy post-and-beam cottage in a woodsy setting. Complete with all the modern amenities you will feel at home after exploring all that Maine has to offer. At day’s end ascend to the loft bedroom for a great night's sleep.
This custom post and beam cottage is brand new. Designed by John Libby, one of the most respected timber frame builders in New England, (www.housesandbarns.com) this space was thoughtfully designed and meticulously built specifically for your enjoyment. This cottage resides on the owner’s property, but is sited on its own two acres nestled among a beautiful stretch of Maine hardwood forest.  Accessible via its own private driveway and surrounded by acres of pristine forest, it is the perfect place to relax among nature. No matter the season the exposed weathered Douglas Fir beams of the building will both welcome you and wrap you in a feeling of comfort and contentment. This complete home has all of the amenities. The kitchen includes natural unpolished granite countertops and brand new appliances including a stainless steel gas oven/range, dishwasher and refrigerator. The whitewashed walls of the hallway and bathroom provide a more modern feel, while showcasing all the wonderful knots of the Maine white pine from which it was milled. An easy-to-access, low/no step corner shower complete with floor to ceiling tile and an oversized vanity make time in the bathroom a pleasure.  The open concept makes for a natural flow through the space and the sitting area comes complete with a queen sofa bed, TV and a gas fired wood-stove. The vaulted ceilings rise 22’ above the floor providing a spacious and beautiful feel. Radiant heat in the finished concrete floors make the space cozy and keep your feet warm. Oversized and lit stairs lead to the loft where you’ll find a king sized bed providing the opportunity for a great night’s sleep.  Large windows make you feel as though your sleeping in the tree tops…come Fall this Oak and Maple forest comes alive with color.  A ceiling fan keeps you cool, in the Summer and moves the heat around come Winter. Enjoy the beautiful outdoors on either the front or back deck, or from your own personal fire pit complete with granite bench. Don’t forget the s’mores!
This post and beam cottage is in the small town of Pownal, 20 minutes from the wonderful restaurants, sights, and sounds of Portland. It's a 10-minute drive to Freeport and the L.L.Bean flagship store. Bradbury Mountain State Park is two miles away.
  • Vianna was extremely helpful and accommodating. She was always there when needed and was very kind and knowledgeable. Her postings were very accurate.

    Avery2020-02-26T00:00:00Z
  • Dreamy cottage in an amazing location! You’ll need a car but everything you would want to explore is within a 15-30 min drive! When you arrive, go to the grocery store - buy hot chocolate, pancake mix, fruit and bacon. Spend your mornings sleeping in, turning on the wood stove and cooking breakfast with your significant other and/or family! You will feel disconnected to the busy real world and feel at peace in the woods. The cottage is 100% as pictured if not better. We absolutely loved the loft, the bed, the windows looking out to the snowy trees, it was just perfect. We hope to return!

  • Perfect cottage and a perfect location to experience all Maine has to offer

    Patrick2020-02-20T00:00:00Z
  • This was hands down one of my best Air B and B experiences. This cabin was so nicely decorated with charm and home-like. Vianna was so helpful in making our trip to Maine a memorable experience. She also added a few extra treats that made the experience even more special.

    Kelli2020-02-18T00:00:00Z
  • We had a wonderful here at Vianna’s place! It was thoughtfully arranges, cozy, and they were very kind and helpful.

  • Vianna & Gabe’s cottage is my oasis, my nirvana, my Maine Retreat that I have had the pleasure of enjoying for lengthy stays the past 2 years ... Vianna, Gabe, their 3 boys and the neighbors have become family & dear friends!! The cottage is beyond any other listing available in the area - spotlessly clean, so stylish and impeccably designed in a true post & beam architecture. A perfect spot to treat yourself for a weekend visit, an overnight or a lengthy vacation!!! Already planning my next visit!!

    Anne2020-02-09T00:00:00Z
  • Gabe, Vianna and their boys were wonderful hosts! The beautiful timber frame cabin was everything we hoped for and provided for a very Merry Christmas for our family. This is a unique, rustic, yet comfortable, way to enjoy Maine!

Beautiful, spacious, 1 bedroom heart of the city urban apartment featuring 12 foot ceilings, high end kitchen and bath, refinished hardwood floors in a location that is absolutely terrific. Amazing City Scape Views! Sleeps 3 : 1 Bedroom with queen bed and there is a Futon in small auxiliary room.
Although a lot of places are called "great locations" it's truly hard to beat this one. We are next door to two coffee shops two restaurants, around the corner (literally) from one of the best coffee spots in town. 50 feet from a bakery, a well known donut shop, a one minute walk to a movie theatre and less than a minute to the Public Market House. Even a men’s and woman’s hair Salon are less than a half minute walk! Portland's Old Port is two blocks away.

The Walker House was built in the mid-1800s as a private home by Henry B. Walker who was wise enough to capitalize on all the clay in the soil in Maine and owned 3 brickyards. Now on The National Register of Historic Places, the house is located just over Portland townline so you’ll enjoy the space, quiet and safety of a family-oriented area with just minutes to the center of town.
  • This place is amazing! Great space, gorgeous decor, smooth communication and check in, and a great big yard completely fenced off that our dogs just loved! Thanks for the stay.

    Jennifer2020-02-26T00:00:00Z
  • The apartment was cute and had everything you could need! There was plenty of space and Pete was very accommodating to both my dog and I. We would definitely stay again!

  • Excellent space, friendly host. Will return!

    Diana2020-02-22T00:00:00Z
  • Pete had a very unique apartment. Part of it almost felt like I was living inside an art exhibition! Harley (my dog) and I stayed here for a day. Pete was very accommodating of having a dog and left very clear instructions for everything and check in was a very easy process. There is also access to a fenced in backyard which is ideal for anyone traveling with a pet. The location is also amazing as it is a very close driving distance from the docks/main hub of Portland. Will definitely stay again if I visit!

    Iris2020-02-21T00:00:00Z

  • This is a great place to stay on the outskirts of downtown Portland ! short ride into the city… I enjoyed staying here very much… Great accommodations… great value... Pete is a very accommodating and super thoughtful host...🙏🏼will be back for sure ! 😁

    Brenda2020-02-08T00:00:00Z
  • This airbnb was everything we needed for our visit home. Living in Philadelphia, our dog doesn't get to enjoy a backyard, so Pete's airbnb was a dream for our pup. The apartment was clean and well stocked. The layout was so comfortable and warm. I loved the shower, the water pressure was amazing. My spouse and I look forward to staying here again.

    Katie2020-02-03T00:00:00Z
  • I stayed at Pete's place for the weekend while my family was visiting the Portland area. Pete was super responsive and made it clear that he was there to help with anything to make his guests feel comfortable. The space was very clean and had everything we needed to also accommodate our 10 month old. We would love to stay here again in the future.

Recently renovated modern studio cottage, located in a quiet Portland neighborhood only a 7-10 minute drive (and $9 Uber ride) from downtown Portland, the Old Port, and all local visitor attractions. Allagash Brewing is just a mile down the road, and you are within walking distance (.5 mi) of the bars and restaurants at Morrill's Corner. Everything in my cottage is new, hand-made, or 'upcycled' (my hobbies include refinishing antique furniture and building furniture).
Sliding barn door for the bathroom, custom-made concrete countertop, handmade furniture and refinished antiques, USB ports for charging electronic devices. Modern rustic: the best of the old world and the new! As a frequent traveler myself, I put a lot of thought into what makes a stay a fun, convenient, and relaxing experience, and designed some of the amenities and layout with that in mind. I hope you enjoy!
Even though it's only a short drive away from downtown, my neighborhood is very quiet and peaceful. You can look at the stars and fall asleep to the sound of crickets after a fun night in town. Local neighborhood pubs (Samuels, Bruno's Tavern) and restaurants (Susan's Fish & Chips, Po' Boys & Pickles, Bruno's, Babylon) are located a short 10-minute walk away. The complex that hosts Allagash Brewing Company, Foundation Brewing, and Austin St Brewing is a short 25-30 minute walk away (and passes Noble BBQ, one of the best bbq restaurants in Portland).
  • Tony’s place is so charming and comfortable! Small, but very cute and perfect for two people who want a cabin getaway, still close to the lively city of Portland! :) The place is very clean, and Tony was the ideal host— responsive and helpful. We felt confident that if we needed anything, he was a short text message or call away! When we arrived, an essential oil diffuser was on, which made it feel like home right away. We miss it already!

    Jessica2020-02-16T00:00:00Z
  • Tony's little cabin was perfection! His design style and creativity is awesome. All the amenities you need for a weekend away. Very comfortable bed pillows and furniture. The kitchen is anything to people could want so you don't have to eat out for three meals a day. Location to Olde Port and all surrounding towns is fantastic can't go wrong booking this place.

    Lisa2020-02-02T00:00:00Z
  • Tony’s place was exactly what we were looking for. It was a bit small but had everything we needed for our short stay (2 1/2 days). True to his advertisement, we never saw him but knew he was nearby if we needed anything. Great value!!

  • One of the best places we’ve stayed at. Great aesthetic, good vibes!

    Tyler2019-12-21T00:00:00Z
  • This was a very last minute trip up to Portland and Tony was very accommodating. The cottage is very cozy and has everything you could need. It is apparent that Tony really cares about his space and wants to provide the best experience for his guests. We can’t wait to be back!

    Elise2019-12-08T00:00:00Z
  • I booked Tony's place for one of my employees who was traveling to Maine for work. There was an unexpected snow storm that required her to check in a day earlier than planned, and also lengthen the stay. Tony was incredibly responsive, friendly, and accommodating to the last-minute changes.

Tall pines surrounded this studio space with a quiet patio fire pit to sit back and relax with a glass of wine or locally created craft beer. We are close to the town square and Kennebunkport's beautiful beaches.
The studio space was recently built to let in soothing light throughout the day. There is a private entrance to our space which features hardwood floors, tile in the bathroom, and a spacious 14-foot ceiling. It also features a COMFORTABLE queen size bed, a seating area and a dining area for two. Anytime is the BEST time to be in K'port. Weekend girls getaway, special occasion, anniversary, surfing trip, cycling excursions, you name it, and this picturesque town will satisfy. Our place, centrally located, close to town square (walk, ride, drive) beaches (ride, drive) and local attractions. Bring your fat tire bikes and ride the nearly 30 miles of killer trails at the Edwin L Smith Preserve. Please feel free to inquire about anything you may wonder about our space!
Kennebunkport was voted 2015 best places to live in Maine by Downeast magazine. I've lived here all my life and can attest to that so Let me help you find the best place to dine or to enjoy some of what coastal Maine has to offer.
  • What a cute little spot in Kennebunkport, just about 5 minutes drive away from downtown. We loved having the little fridge and hot plate for making coffee and eggs in the morning. Can't wait to come back in the summer and use the fire pit for s'mores after a day at the beach.

  • Perfect getaway spot for 2! Loved the attention to detail and decor. Great location, close to the beach and shopping/dining options. Mike’s all day breakfast was our favorite. Can’t wait to come back when the weather is warm!

  • Emily's place was hands down on one of the best airbnb experiences I've had. The place was clean, private and so cute! My boyfriend and I stayed here to celebrate our anniversary and upon arrival we found a bottle of chilled champagne with a handwritten note waiting for us. She's quick to respond to messages and gave up an incredible list of places to eat and things to do in the area. Highly recommend staying here. The place was the perfect size for two!

    Sabrina2019-11-17T00:00:00Z
  • Emily’s place was clean, comfy, and a perfect getaway. The location was great, we felt that we were only a few minutes from everything we wanted to do. Also, proximity to Portland is a plus. Would recommend and come back!

    Emily2019-11-15T00:00:00Z
  • Emily's place is absolutely beautiful! It is attached to the main house, but the separate entrance and parking area gives you plenty of privacy. She was incredibly helpful providing recommendations as well as helping us check in. We loved Kennebunkport and The Nest is so close to everything you could want to do nearby! We would definitely recommend staying at Emily's place if you are in the area.

    Sydney2019-11-10T00:00:00Z
  • We loved our weekend away at the Nest! It was such a quaint little space and the perfect size for two of us. The Nest was very clean and located off a quiet country road. Enjoy uninterrupted quiet on the Maine coast in our light-filled oceanfront cabin. Just 5 mins from lovely Boothbay Harbor for kayaking, sailing, hiking, seafood tasting, you name it! Or just relax at the cabin in a stunning natural setting.
Enjoy uninterrupted peace and quiet on the Maine coast in this sweet, rustic cabin perfect for artists, writers, or anyone else wanting to unplug and unwind for a few days or weeks. This charming cabin, built in 1982, is situated only 50 feet from the water's edge, and, with only one house visible through the woods, it is difficult to find a more private location than this. The cabin is of rustic design, with one private bedroom and single common area that includes a kitchenette, eat-in table, couch, and TV (no cable though). Above the common area is a loft with a double bed mattress, accessible by a wooden ladder. Off the common area is an enclosed composting toilet. There is no shower so all washing up must be done in the bath tub. There is no internet or telephone connection. The small wood stove is no longer functional, but three portable electric heaters are kept permanently in the cabin for any chilly Maine nights. Such simple living is certainly not for everyone, but can be a tremendous treat for those interested in enjoying this beautiful natural setting. The cabin looks over a salt river (Back River) which is part of the ocean but looks more like a river/lake due to the protection of Barter's Island across the water. The cove that the cabin sits on is tidal, which means that half the time you are looking at the ocean and half the time it is a natural mud flat. So the view changes every 6 hours! To enjoy the water to its fullest when the tide is up, a double kayak may be rented from the property owners at a very reasonable rate. The cabin is located 5 minutes drive from lovely Boothbay Harbor, a stunning destination for travelers of all kinds. Enjoy fine local seafood, kayaking, whale watching, sunset sailing trips, and the charming downtown with its quaint shops. There are also many beautiful walking trails through the Boothbay Region Land Trust, along with one of the world's finest botanical gardens at the Coastal Maine Botanical Gardens, located only 2 miles from the cabin. The owners of the cabin live on the adjacent property so any questions or concerns can be immediately addressed.
  • This cabin is gorgeous and in a wonderful location. The host is extremely helpful and informative about the local area. If we didn't live so far away we would be revisiting on a regular basis.

  • We enjoyed our stay. The description was accurate and the place was secluded. Small and quaint and just what my husband and I needed to unwind. I loved how clean it was and the small little touches left by the owners. The tips and maps were a helpful touch as well. Thank you we will be back.

    Brigette2019-09-15T00:00:00Z
  • A very sweet cabin w/ all the comforts of home.... including an old fashioned, deep bathtub w/ plenty of hot water to soak in. It is right on tidal for kayaking but you need to be aware of high and low tides to avoid getting stuck in the mud flats. It is also a bit challenging to get the kayaks into the water right near the cabin. We had a lovely stay and plenty to do on the one rainy day we had, w/ Boothbay Harbor so nearby, the Botanical Gardens, etc!

    Lois2019-08-24T00:00:00Z
  • Have you ever smelled brilliant fresh pine at the same time as wide open sea? Have you ever stood before water as tranquil or trees as still as a loved ones whisper? Do you love nature but prefer not sleeping out on the rough ground? Well, friend, you've stumbled upon a beautiful opportunity. Truly, a short stay here will refresh your entire life.

    Quinn2019-08-10T00:00:00Z
  • I booked this airbnb for a weekend getaway for my parents to celebrate their anniversary. They absolutely loved the house, which they said had a great location on the water and had a very sweet history of past renters according to the log book. Ian was quick to respond and gave lots of suggestions for places to visit in the area. Would highly recommend!

    Madeline2019-08-04T00:00:00Z
  • Words can't express the beauty and peacefulness of this unique location. Close to it all and yet far enough to escape, the river view will mesmerize you. The space is homey and everything we needed. We had a wonderful experience staying here and hope to come back soon.

  • I am so impressed with this place; it was a beautiful space, very close to downtown but also easy to get to any of the main roads out of Portland, and such a great value. I loved having off-street parking and Katrina was very clear and quick with her directions and responses. I would love to stay here again!

  • Katrina has a lovely space very well located close to the main Portland thoroughfare. The space was clean and cozy; my wife and I enjoyed relaxing there each evening on a cozy couch and very comfortable bed. Katrina was also very responsive and her instructions on accessing the room were very clear. We’ve stayed in several Airbnb’s in Portland and this is definitely our favorite!

    Wesley2020-02-23T00:00:00Z
  • We were very happy with our stay. The bedroom is much nicer than the photo suggests, tastefully furnished with hotel quality bedding. I contacted Katrina once and got an instant response. The entire unit is warmed by an electric heater in the living room and it works very well (we were there on a very cold weekend); we were nervous when we arrived because the bedroom was chilly, but we turned the heat up a bit and that took care of it. I would happily stay there again on a future trip to Portland!

  • Wonderful apartment a short walk from the heart of town. Great value, and perfect for a weekend away.

    Patrick2020-02-03T00:00:00Z
  • This is a wonderful airbnb. It is clean and Katrina responded to our questions before and during the visit. The location is perfect -- walkable and easy to find. We loved it and will be back!

    Olivia2020-01-29T00:00:00Z
  • This spot is great! Awesome location that is walkable to lots of great restaurants and coffee shops. Very clean and perfect for a quick getaway.

    Kylie2020-01-26T00:00:00Z
  • I had to cancel my trip due to some sudden unfortunate circumstances and Katrina was very understanding. She was helpful, quick with responses and kind. My cancellation was on such short so I figured I would not get any refund (which I was totally okay with) but Katrina was super nice and refunded the cleaning fee for me. I recommend staying with her and know I will for my future visits to Portland 🙂

    Brittney2020-01-20T00:00:00Z
  • Katrinas place is great. The apartment is cozy and has everything you need! If you choose to stay inside, there’s Netflix in the living room and other streaming services, didn’t expect that. There’s TONS of places to eat and explore that are just 10-15 minutes down the street which was super convenient as well. I only took a Lyft to get to and from the airport, walked everywhere else! Overall great stay and great host.

This hidden gem is a 15 minute drive from beautiful Biddeford Pool beach. The home is tucked away in a quiet suburban neighborhood but just 1 mile from the many restaurants of downtown Biddeford. Portland is 30 minutes north and Kennebunkport 30 minutes south. There are so many wonderful restaurants in our little city!
You have this house to yourself, an enclosed private back yard, and comfortable front porch. There are two bedrooms , each with a queen bed. In the living room is a pull-out couch if a third bed is desired.
  • Pat's place was a perfect spot for us as we traveled to Maine to visit the UNE campus. The space was much larger than expected with lovely art on the walls and plenty of space to relax and unwind. Would definitely stay here again.

Note: On mobile, AirBnB greys out nights that are available to rent (you just can't start your trip on that night). Minimum night stay varies. Typically minimum stay is 2 nights during the week and 3 or 4 nights if a weekend night is included. We would appreciate if guests don't book trips that leave a single night open. That said, if the trip is within 2 weeks and you are firm on dates, feel free to book a trip that leaves a single night open.
A very functional all season rental. The off-season can be surprising very tranquil and calming; being in an elegant yet cozy condo, right on the ocean. The summer's are just amazing, as you are able to easily transition from the beach to the condo throughout the day during the summer. Go downstairs to the outdoor patio bar and listen to the live band at the famous Brunswick, or play volleyball on the courts directly in front of the unit and then come relax on your private oversized balcony and have a drink. Enjoy the year-round entertainment just steps away at the restaurant bar downstairs. Come and go with your designated parking space. No need to check-in, just use the pin code provided to easily enter the condo. The code is the only unit in the building with a keypad, so you don't have to worry about everyone having a key at all times. You are right in the middle of the action (on the beach just a minute or so walk to the pier) but have good privacy (the beach really can't see into the unit). You honestly feel like you are at the beach when just hanging out in the unit and on the private balcony. The condo is ideally located on the 3rd floor which allows you to be high enough to have privacy but low enough to see the beach while in the unit. The ceilings on the 3rd floor are also higher than the floors above, making the unit feel more open and connected with the beach. As an end-unit, the bedrooms have windows and are very private as they do not share a wall with any other condo. This unit has professionally installed ductless AC units (not overly common in the area) in both the living areas and bedrooms. Sleeping arrangements include a king in the master, two twins in the second bedroom (that can be combined into a queen), and a pull-out queen in the living room. All mattresses, including the pull-out, are quality. The doors throughout the condo are solid wood and the floors have sound board installed for added privacy. The unit is equipped with hand-made custom drapes and crown molding throughout. The bathroom includes marble flooring, luxury shower, with two shower heads, beautifully designed tile, built in shower bench and premium glass door. There is a fully equipped exotic kitchen with custom designed cabinetry, granite countertops, two bar stools, and all new stainless steel appliances with filtered water/ice maker. In-unit washer/dryer. 65" HD Smart TV with Amazon Prime, NetFlix and Live TV/Sports. High Speed Wifi. All season outdoor furniture on the large private balcony overlooking the beach with nice views of the pier. Old Orchard Beach town fireworks can be seen directly from the balcony every Thursday night during the summer - best seats in town! Condo is fully stocked with plenty of everything you need to make it a hassle-free trip, such as dish soap, hand soap, shampoo, conditioner, toilet paper, paper towels, laundry detergent, sponges, trash bags, etc. In unit Keurig coffee/cappuccino maker with pods ready for your use! Building has elevator and is handicap accessible. Plants in the unit may vary. No pets allowed per association rules. The schedule for the year-round downstairs entertainment will vary depending on the season and night of the week. Typically live bands all year round on the weekends and every day during high season. Please only book this condo if you plan to treat it with respect. Thank you
  • If you want a beautiful spot on the ocean front with wonderful accommodations I highly recommend this host he was right on all with communication. Will definitely be staying again in the future!

  • I love it and I recommend this apartment... the view was great!!!

    Vivian2020-02-15T00:00:00Z
  • The space is beautifully renovated and has a great view of the beach. Sameer is super friendly and thorough with communication.

    Karoline2020-02-13T00:00:00Z
  • Location, location, location! Waking up to the beach when you first open your eyes, still in bed, is an amazing experience, even in winter. Sameer has decorated impeccably. The shower is state of the art. He also provides cable tv, washer/dryer, and dishes/stemware are categorized as casual or posh. Quite lovely all around.

    Xanna2020-02-11T00:00:00Z
  • The owner, Sameer is a great host and his condo is absolutely amazing. I loved every day and detail I spent there (7). Next time I travel to Maine, this condo will be my first choice. If you are thinking about booking, just do it, you won't be sorry.

    Kerrie2020-01-14T00:00:00Z
  • Very great place to stay. Can build very nice memories. We wish to visit this house again.

    Venkatesh2020-01-04T00:00:00Z
  • Hands down the best Air BnB I’ve ever stayed in! We booked it for New Years and even though it was off season in Old Orchard Beach, it was amazing! The views from the condo/apartment was beyond beautfiul, we had such an amazing sunrise for New Year’s Day! Sameer was very kind and responsive and he gave us a lot of great suggestions for food in the area and in Portland! We will 100% be booking this place again, it was worth every penny!

    Rebecca2020-01-01T00:00:00Z
  • This location is well positioned at Old Orchard Beach. Sameer's responsiveness to my email messages and text messages was extraordinary (in a positive sense :) ) in the timeliness of his replies. I would certainly look to select this location to stay in the future. Karl

  • What a great spot this was, better than we expected! Carrye was so nice and beyond accommodating, the tap house below was a blast everyone was so nice. The loft was clean comfy and stylish and the hot tub was a huge plus!! Would highky recommend staying here, we’ll definitely be back!

    Anna2020-02-24T00:00:00Z
  • Amazing experience here at the loft! Though we only stayed for one night we had an unforgettable time! Stylish, comfortable space. Very convenient location and the hot tub was the icing on the cake! Would love to visit again.

    Anna2020-02-18T00:00:00Z
  • Our stay at the Depot Street Tap House Loft was our favorite Airbnb experience we've had yet! The space was warm, inviting, and completely spotless. The bed is extremely comfortable, the personal touches left by Carrye were so thoughtful, and having access to a hot tub right off your bedroom makes it a perfect retreat. Better than that, Carrye and the friendly local Bridgton people were fantastic hosts. We felt like we were right at home relaxing in the Tap House just down the stairs below the loft. They gave us local tips and suggestions, making the entire weekend relaxing and eventful at the same time. The Tap House was certainly our favorite part of the weekend, bartender Mitch makes some great drinks, the infused liquors they have are a must try, and the atmosphere the entire weekend was friendly, fun, and upbeat. We can't wait for our next trip to visit the Tap House!

    Jesse2020-02-16T00:00:00Z
  • What a place!!! The Loft is adorable and filled with so much character!!! If you enjoy drinks and food and don’t want to drive, well, you don’t have to!! Downstairs to “The Loft” is a bar owned by the Airbnb host! You can enjoy amazing cocktails and talk with so many kind and entertaining local folks!!! If you want amazing food for dinner then you can head next door to, “Vivos” for amazing Italian! Did I mention a hot tub on the deck!? That was the cherry on top for us! We used it multiple times and enjoyed watching the snow fall!! We will be back!

    Mike And Julie2020-02-14T00:00:00Z
  • Carrye's loft was incredible! Perfect location, beautiful area. Place was modern, spacious yet cozy with the hot tub for an added bonus! Would recommend for anyone!

    Lucy2020-02-13T00:00:00Z
  • Staying at the Tap House Loft was awesome! Its removed from the hustle and bustle of city life but still so much to do in Bridgton! Carrye was wonderful and everything was perfect!

    Juli2020-02-05T00:00:00Z
  • What a sweet little gem this place is! The space was beautiful. Just like the pictures but better! The barn doors were my favorite- really nice lighting and just a comfortable space. The amenities were perfect- the hot tub an amazing touch after a day outside on the slopes, plenty of towels blankets and the washer dryer is a great option. The location offers a lot of possibilities- skiing or just a quick overnight get away -the magic lantern right nearby and several good looking restaurants Including the tap house. The loft had the charm of an old building but beautifully updated. We heard a little noise from the tap house but nothing g that will keep you up - it was closed by 11. We were there with our young kids who had no problem sleeping.

    Shannon 2020-02-01T00:00:00Z
  • Unique spacious accommodations! Carrye was extremely hospitable and provided much insight of what there is available in the area. She also makes a great drink! Hot tub was an amazing touch and very relaxing on a cold winters night! Be sure to book this place. You wont be disappointed!!!!

Newly installed efficient ductless heat pump for warmth in the winter months and quiet cooling in the summer months. Turn on the propane woodstove style heater for ambiance. And excellent drinking water - no need to buy bottled water! We have room for one or two vehicles maximum. Kindly let us know if you will have more than one vehicle. This is a smoke-free space - no smoking (cigarettes or marijuana) , candles or incense are allowed. Once you are here, you will appreciate how stunning this area is! Our studio is a good value in desirable Harpswell. We are THE BEST-SITUATED AirBnb on the Route 24 side of Harpswell leading down to Orrs and Bailey Island for visiting Bath, Brunswick and Topsham and for getting on the highway to venture further. All of these towns are just a few miles and less than 15 minutes away. Bowdoin College is just 6 miles (12 minutes) away. The studio is located at the back of our house considerably far from the road. We live on a two acre piece of property. We are on a busy road, but this means that we are very accessible to many amazing destinations including small beaches (some you need to know how to reach) and hiking trails within 20 minutes and two state parks with beaches within 35 minutes. Our 488 square foot (45 square meters) studio on one level (slight step up between rooms) features a private entrance, bedroom area, large efficiency kitchenette (see details below) and private shower bath. The surprisingly spacious area is bright and airy with lots of windows, high ceilings, two skylights that open and two ceiling fans. The decor is comfortable and eclectic rather than contemporary. We’ve decorated the studio with original artwork and a few nautical touches. Outside you will have your own personal sun space with seasonal gas grill, table and chairs. Lovely garden and water views from our property! Check out our two small sitting areas across the road with spectacular and expansive views of the New Meadows River! Consider it part of our shared outdoor space - it just happens to be across the road. We have tidal water access. All use of this area is at your own risk. Water shoes or sandals are necessary for swimming and use is dependent upon the daily high tide schedule. You have approximately 1.5 to 2 hours before and after high tide for swimming. The ”efficiency plus” kitchenette area features a refrigerator, separate upright freezer, kitchen sink, microwave, countertop convection oven (with toaster feature), coffee maker, glass electric hot water/tea kettle, single state of the art glass induction cooktop (gets rave reviews - heats up fast!), and an electric skillet. We ask that you make every effort to operate only two high wattage appliances at one time. We provide pots and pans, cooking utensils, silverware, tea, coffee, olive oil, butter, condiments, milk and flavored coffee creamer. REGARDING LOBSTERS (A Harpswell Specialty) : We want our space to be fresh, odor free and welcoming, so we ask our guests to refrain from deep fat frying or indoor steaming of lobsters and clams. Outdoor seasonal cooking of lobster and clams may be available with advance notice. Year round at Gurnet Trading (1 minute up the road) you can order lobsters cooked to order and other seafood and non-seafood meals for eat in or take out. Erica’s (open Mother’s Day Weekend to Columbus Day Weekend) is well worth the 25 minute drive to the other side of Harpswell for freshly prepared seafood - a guest favorite! Steamed lobster at market prices with just a slight upcharge! And in Brunswick, a few more places offer steamed lobsters year-round. The studio has a queen bed with soft cotton sheets in the bedroom area along with a newly added futon couch (double). There’s also a pullout queen size couch in the living room. Regarding the sleeping arrangements - it's your choice as to using EITHER the futon in the bedroom area or the queen sized pullout couch as the second bed option. Please let us know so we can leave linens for the second bed for your arrival. We think the space is perfect for two people or at most three good friends or three family members. Both parts of the studio have cathedral ceilings and ceiling fans. The living area has rough-hewn beams that are original to the house and two skylights. There are privacy drapes separating the sleeping from the living space. The living room area has a 42 in HDTV with DirecTV including HBO. (subject to change) We provide an Amazon FireStick (current apps include NetFlix, Amazon Prime Video, Hulu - these are subject to change) and a dvd player (there are some dvds in the studio and many other dvds and cds readily available - just ask). Redbox is at several nearby locations. We offer both wifi and an ethernet "hardwire”. Please note that our studio is NOT child proofed. The studio adjoins our home and is separated by a wall and a pantry. Two supermarkets are just up the road (7 minute drive - Shaw's or Walmart), so you can easily get provisions for your stay. Zach's store (2 minute drive) has an excellent selection of wine, beer, liquor (hard liquor prices are the same everywhere in Maine), pizza and some groceries. If you want a big breakfast, we will be happy to recommend one of the local breakfast spots. Cooks Corner shopping area in Brunswick with Sears, TJMAXX, BigLots, Bath and Bodyworks, Staples, Applebee’s, etc. is just 3.5 miles up the road, but we might as well be a world away across the Gurnet Bridge here in Harpswell. We provide a soft side cooler, cool packs and a couple beach towels. If you have kayaks or bicycles, bring them along! There are many public boat launches in the area (one is just a minute away) and some good areas for bicycling as well, particularly the nearby former Navy base. There are also three kayak and paddleboard rental places (two that deliver) and arranged kayak tours available as well as sailboat, schooner, ferry and charter boat tours. (seasonal) And to prospective home buyers - we have a few friends in the business!
We are in a residential area conveniently located to many of the area highlights. We are so spoiled here with scenery and little getaway places! There’s a year round seafood place less than a mile and one minute by car! Eat in or takeout! (5% cash discount). Close by there’s a general store with beer, wine, spirits - and pizza! We are in one of the lobster "capitals" of the world!!! Fresh off the boat and so tasty!! Shopping!! Just 6 minutes (3.5 miles) but worlds away to TJMAXX, Sears, Walmart, Bed Bath & Beyond, Bath and Bodyworks, Goodwill, BigLots, DollarTree, etc. Just 15 minutes (6.5 miles) to Target, Reny's, etc. Just 24 minutes (9.5 miles) to all the stores and outlets in Freeport including LL Bean flagship store (open 24 hours, 365 days per year) and the LL Bean outlet store. Breweries!! There are more than 20 breweries within a 45 minute drive, with some as close as 15 minutes away. Check out the Maine Beer Trail! We are very close to Flight Deck, Moderation, Sea Dog, Black Pug and Bath Brewing. Flight Deck is an especially fun place with outdoor and indoor seating. Feel free to bring your own food or order from the food truck.. Moderation is also BYOF. You will need a car to get around, but the driving is easy! You can choose to head towards "civilization" or head in the other direction away from the hustle and bustle - or do a little bit of both. Harpswell is a paradise for lobster lovers and for those who love seafood of all kinds. Unspoiled beauty abounds! Harpswell consists of Great Island, Orr's Island, Bailey Island and the peninsula of South Harpswell. We are surrounded by saltwater here! Late June, July, August and September are simply enchanting! Nearby Brunswick is a college town, so there's plenty to do there - lots of restaurants, several museums and beaches and trails that you can walk along every day of the year. We are directly across the road from the New Meadows River. This saltwater river goes out to Casco Bay and the Atlantic Ocean. Our home is located midway between the fun and charming town of Brunswick and the city of Bath (The City of Ships, voted "best main street" recently) We are on Great Island in Harpswell on the way to the Harpswell islands of Orr's Island and Bailey Island. The peninsula of South Harpswell is just across the Mountain Road. This area is a year-round destination for enjoying Maine hospitality and scenery. Grocery stores and many shops and restaurants are within 5 to 15 minutes by car. A favorite outdoor seafood place (byob, cash only)- Erica's - is located on the other side of Harpswell and is open from Mother's Day Weekend to Columbus Day Weekend. Erica's is a must see destination featured in Coastal Living Magazine in June 2018 issue. Harpswell and the neighboring towns of Topsham, Bath and Brunswick have many nature preserves, hiking trails, public boat launches, a riverfront bicycle trail, river and ocean views and walks. What's really great is that many of the natural scenery can be enjoyed for free - so you can plan a whole day for only the cost of your food - brown bag it, get takeout, or dine in a restaurant. There are 184 restaurants in total in the towns of Harpswell, Brunswick, Bath and Topsham according to TripAdvisor. For nature enthusiasts, get a taste of what you can see by going to the Harpswell Heritage Land Trust website. Brunswick also has Bowdoin College with Maine State Music Theatre and the International Music Festival throughout the summer. Bowdoin College also has two museums (an Arctic and an art museum) and the Chamberlain House Museum is just across the street. Bowdoin often has events and performances that are open to the public. So much to do -consignment store shopping, watching a movie at nearby Regal Cinemas feature film movie theater or the independent movie theater or scheduled dinner, live entertainment and film options at the Frontier cafe. Smitty's in Topsham offers movies and food at the same time! Four theaters to choose from with Regal Cinemas just a five minute drive away! We are just off Route 1, so we're in a great location to explore Mid Coast Maine for day trips. Visit Rockland/Camden/Rockport, Wiscasset, Boothbay Harbor, Damariscotta all within an hour and 20 minutes or less drive. The Maine Maritime Museum is located in Bath. It offers river cruises in the summer. We are less than 20 minutes (12 miles) from Live Well Farm, a very popular venue for weddings and retreats. The intriguing and fun city of Portland (with a tremendous number of restaurants, breweries, bars, museums, lighthouses, beaches etc.) is an easy 35 minute drive. Portland has become THE foodie destination- recently voted #1 by Bon Appetit magazine (2018). Augusta, Maine's capitol city, is also about 40 minutes away. Take a spectacular noontime scenic cruise of Casco Bay just down the road from us on Bailey Island (June 22 - Sept 2, 2019). USA's #1 voted favorite place (according to Good Morning America 2014 poll) Acadia National Park is a three hour drive. We're a good stopping point on the way to Acadia in Bar Harbor if you are heading north. There are some beaches and special places that are only accessible off season - yet another reason to visit any time of the year! Beaches are almost always walkable -even when there's snow on the ground. Schedule horseback riding on Popham Beach from October 1st through March 31st. We have many brochures and a helpful “cheat sheet”, so you can put off the planning until you arrive and then comfortably explore the area. Many of our guests have used our Harpswell Heritage Land Trust brochure with a map, description and directions to some amazingly beautiful places that require only an easy hike or drive to visit.
  • This cute and comfortable studio space was open, light, and spacious. The hosts were incredibly kind and helpful, and they made us feel more than welcome. It was a wonderful stay.

  • Bill and Alane’s place is lovely - super quaint and cozy. Alane was very quick to respond to my messages, even though she and Bill were away for the first day or so. Alane made us pancakes one morning - they were delicious! She gave us recommendations on what to do in the area, but also gave us space to do our own thing. Also, their dog Jimmy is adorable :)

  • Just the perfect little get away space. Tidy, close to the shore and cozy. Amazing in every way.

  • We booked a 2 night stay with very short notice. At check in we were greeted and given all of the in's and out's of dining and hiking in the area. We ended up having a great time and enjoying several beach hikes in the surrounding area.

  • You won't find a better place or more wonderful hosts. Highly recommend

Chill on the porch after exploring a scenic local walking trail and soak up the serenity of this breezy blue and white hideaway. Striped oars, starfish, smooth shells, and ocean scenes blend with shades of teal and aqua for a thoroughly calm space.
    The entire space. It’s private
The property is close to Portland, Brunswick, Lewiston, and Augusta. There are beaches and scenic trails nearby, as well as Route 1, which hugs the ocean. The White Mountains are also within easy reach for adventurers.
  • We had a lovely stay and would recommend to others. We'll definitely stay again.

  • Marcia’s place was spotless & the pictures accurately depicted the space. Marcia greeted us upon arrival and was very welcoming. Nice touches included a welcome board with our name on it, basket of oatmeal & snack bars, local area guides/restaurant menus, and large selection of coffee K cups & teas. The location worked out well for us 50+ minutes to gardens aglow & ~36 mins to Portland.

    Betty2019-12-27T00:00:00Z
  • Cute and quiet place centrally located! Worked out perfectly for our needs. Marcia communicated quickly with check-in procedures.

    Tammy2019-12-21T00:00:00Z
  • Despite its previous excellent reviews, we were delighted to discover that Marcia’s place exceeded expectations. She was highly responsive from the moment of my first inquiry, and made it a point to welcome us personally. We had every single thing we might have wanted or needed — and more. We also appreciated coffee and other basics for the kitchen, special (and well-marked) touches such as extra pillows and quilts, and an incredible bathroom set-up (best ever in any airbnb in which we’ve stayed!). While still at Marcia’s, we hoped to book a return, but the optimal dates in summer were already gone.... We will try again, and in the meantime grazie mille.

  • Lovely space! Marcia provided everything we needed to feel comfortable and at home.

  • Loved it so clean so nice

    Caleb2019-11-30T00:00:00Z
  • We absolutely loved our stay at this place! It immediately felt like home, and the little details did not go unnoticed or unappreciated. Tea, coffee, hot chocolate, granola bars, and oatmeal. Very thoughtful items to include in the kitchen. A very clean atmosphere, spotless. The mattress was unbelievably comfortable, and the neighborhood was so quiet that we were able to sleep through the night for once (both nights of our stay!). Before staying here, I had no idea how disappointing my own water heater was. The shower stays nice and warm and heats up quickly. For a chilly November stay, me and my joints were pleasantly surprised by how warm it stayed inside! Thank you so much for our stay, I recommend this to anyone looking for accommodations in the area!

    Branbo2020-01-05T00:00:00Z
  • Edward's place was exactly as described. Getting in was super easy, the space was very clean, and in a great location with many things just a short walk away. It was very spacious and comfortable and there were a lot of electrical outlets in the living room which is great if you need to charge laptop/cellphone/camera all at once. The decor was also very charming which made it feel more like a home. I would totally stay there again.

This small, cozy, fully functional one bedroom apartment is walking distance to everything that the city of Portland has to offer. It's an older building with a lot of character.
There is parking for 1 vehicle, but we always tell our guests to check the street first, as it’s free parking and typically not an issue finding a spot in the neighborhood.
It's easy to get to wherever you're going.
  • You can expect excellent communication. Great location and a good value for your money.
