The Stewart Hotel as we booked it is a great value. The room was very clean (and ours was quite large, though the bathroom was Lilliputian-sized), the hotel was well-located, our check-in/check-out process was friendly and efficient. If you are looking for a hotel that has lots of amenities and a more spa-like atmosphere, with a hotel bar, etc... this probably isn't what you are looking for. However, if you are looking for an extremely affordable base from which to sightsee and be in the city, you can't go wrong. It is right across from MSG, and so close to Time Square. I will say, you will hear some street noise.

I stay here often and I never had an issue with the room until now but they quickly fixed it and it was smooth sailing from there. I'll keep coming back! Everyone is super friendlyand helpful!

Very nice and clean apartment. The kitchen is well equipped and the private bathroom is very comfortable. The bed is very soft, which is not for everyone. We haven't seen Chelsea very often, but she was very friendly and always helpful. The location is as described, you need something to reach Midtown. However, the connection with the metro is easy.

This house was exactly as showed here. Everything was ready for us, and check in and communication was super easy. The bed and shower were great. It was great to feel part of the neighborhood. 10/12minuteswalk To the subway. We would stay here again if coming back to NY!

Chelsea and Hernan’s place was incredible. The check in process was seamless. The bed is super comfy and the bathroom was spotless. We loved the neighborhood and the close location to bus stops.

Excellent place. Pretty close to all transportation facilities. Looks really artsy. Checkin and Checkout were very smooth. If you looking for stay for a couple of days in NYC then this is one of the best and affordable places.

The home space was open, well accommodated to the season, and fit our needs. The location is away from the downtown/midtown areas, but transportation was easily accessible and nearby if needed. There are also stores nearby if you need something.

This place is AMAZING - the pictures don’t do it justice (the tub is a jacuzzi!)!! Carol and Marc were consummate hosts, their hospitality generous without being intrusive. The location is so close to the subway, we were able to easily travel throughout the city with no trouble at all, and the area was and felt safe at all times. We can’t wait to return to the city and spend more time there!!! Thank you 😊

Ahhhhh :) what an amazing way to experience NYC. Firstly entering the apartment via an elevator set the mood immediately for the most new yorky stay ever! The apartment is amazing, all the beds all comfy, the shower lush, and the location brilliant. So much quieter than staying Central, which we loved. But not far away from anything! Close to subway and bus stops. And if you are tired (or have tired kids who don’t want to walk after you’ve been to the theatre) an Uber doesn’t break the bank to here either. Marc is just the sweetest gentleman and Carol is just lovely. Felt safe, felt welcome. Thank you guys :) I hope our paths cross again. Big loves xx

My girlfriend and I stayed here for a Valentine’s Day trip and it was absolutely wonderful. Marc and Carol are very kind and accommodating hosts to stay with. I highly recommend this place. A wonderful location at a wonderful price— the Loft's location is so conveniently close to Central Park and the subway station! My friend and I visited NYC for three nights to sightsee, and the Loft was a great place to come home to after a day of city-wandering. The AirBNB description is accurate and transparent about the room, the stairs, and the loft height. None of these were issues for my friend or I, and we loved the space. The amenities (shower, towels, guidebooks, TV) are very thoughtful, and Kevin's clear communication helped greatly with the check-in/check-out process. Highly recommend to travelers looking for a good location. *If you want to rent a space with the same location but without the loft stairs/height, Kevin has a listing for the other room ("Comfy UWS Room near Central Park & Times Square") in the apartment! Either way, the location is a true gem.

Great value apt that is a block away from Subway. Easy accesibility to many downtown attractions.

This was our (my best friend and I) first time in NYC. We were a little nervous about not knowing nah of the areas and feeling safe but this AirBNB was amazing! It was right by a bunch of really fun bars, the little shop right next door was super cute. It is 3 stories up and the stair case was a little steep, so keep that in mind while packing! We packed all of our stuff in a backpack, which was ideal in this situation. We didn’t use any of the amenities in the house (kitchen, TV, etc) but everything was very clean and tidy. The bathroom is small but just what we needed. Being from Florida, neither of us have ever used/seen a radiator, which is what keeps the place warm. One night we got back and it was making a strange noise (to us) and I texted the owner and he was quick to respond and said that was normal as it adjusts to the temperature (for those of you who don’t have experiences with radiators). It was also super close to Time Square. We would absolutely stay here again! As two women in a big city, we felt very safe here, which was super important to us!

The flat its gonna make you feel like in your home if you are looking for a comfortable place to stayed this one is the correct for you. It’s really close to times squares and for the subways station. The flat it’s clean and Ethan it’s a great host.

Great place all round! Ethan was very helpful particularly with suggestions to nice local restaurants. The check in and out was extremely flexible, he will work around you as best as possible! The location of the apartment is second to none, brilliant to access all the main sight seeing areas as well as bars, restaurants and the subway! The apartment holds a very warm cosy atmosphere which is perfect to relax in when you come in from walking around New York for 12 hours a day! The additional facilities inside the apartment other then the normal appliances are very beneficial to have..great Tv, Wifi, dishwasher, ( huge frost-free fridge/freezer for lots of wine, beer and snacks!), hair dryer, iron and ironing board. I would like to thank Ethan once again for a spectacular stay and I highly recommend booking this apartment.

The location is great - away from the Times Sq noise but close enough for transport convenience. The playground next door was a nice touch for the kids as well. It is a prewar 2nd floor walk-up, so definitely not for people with issues on the stairs or lifting luggage. One of the beds is not exactly comfortable, so it may be a problem if you have more than one person with back issues in your party. But overall, we had a great stay, and communication was very smooth. We checked in super late due to our late flight, but Kelly greeted us with a smile. Thank you!

Carol was a great host. Very accommodating and quick to communicate. The apartment was tidy and comfortable. We never heard neighbors and street noise was minimal The location is incredible. Close to transit and walkable to many wonderful neighborhoods. We were able to make it uptown or downtown in less than 20 minutes. Would definitely stay again!

Even though it was only a studio apartment, it was very spacious for my little family (my husband and our child). Really felt like home away from home.

Carol was an amazing host. Her apartment was literally in the best location in manhattan. Every thing is close by and the apartment was such a great place for a couple to cozy up in. The place was stocked with every essential and was like a home away from home. A great place to stay in if your visiting. Great host, all the essentials, easy check-in, and very accommodating.

Central place to stay while in NYC. Really can't beat the location if you're hoping to have the convenience of being in Manhattan. Be it brooklyn or upper manhattan, my friends and I were only a 20/40 minute subway ride away from it all. The place was smaller than I had anticipated but that was all my fault, I had a different expectation in my head. Mostly due to the fact that I'm not a New Yorker haha. Nonetheless, Carol was a great host and was quick to respond to my questions prior to my visit. Obtaining the key was easy peasy and I quite liked that she left it with a doorman who would be there 24/7.

Charming is a great way to describe this place. It feels very homey, it's safe and there is a general comfort that comes from spending time inside. It's well located with it being pretty close to most attractions or at least to access points to modes of transport to get to them. Carol's communication, guidance and advice is phenomenal and I felt like I could ask her any question at any time. Overall I had a lovely time in this apartment and would go back in a heartbeat.

Super convenient if you’re wanting to stay within Manhattan. However, if you’re looking to save money on food- this is not the best option as there was no microwave or refrigerator in my standard room.

to book with your eyes closed .... the location is great, 5 minutes from the metro which takes you to Time Square and downtown NY ... a supermarket opposite the metro station .... the studio is good, a mezzanine bed and a sofa bed for a family of 4 is perfect! We find in the studio the first necessities, very practical (salt, sugar, toilet paper, paper towel, shower gel ....) ... Michael is a very nice host who gives advice the first day ... which is very available. He even kept our suitcases on the last day since we took off at 9:30 pm !! ... I highly recommend !! Thank you again we had a great stay

Michael’s place is centrally located to a lot of Harlem attractions such as Apollo Theater & Jazz History Museum. Lots of great restaurants and shopping. It’s a super cute space and I’d definitely book it again. The subway and buses were a short walk from the loft. Micheal also provided snacks and drinks which came in handy!

Michael is an incredibly friendly, funny and accommodating host, the apartment is extremely charming: not an anonymous vacation rental, but rather a personal studio, high ceilings and terrace are great! Quiet and in a good location, the Brownstone House is a perfect starting point to discover Harlem (Red Rooster around the corner) and the rest of NYC (one subway line in about 5 minutes, two more in 10 minutes).

The place has everything you need and really gives you that ny feel. We absolutely loved the space. It has a loft bed, and two pull outs so I’d say it could sleep 5-6 people. Cable, WiFi, right by the local attractions in Harlem. We loved it! He also helps you get to wherever you need to go so ask all the questions you need to! Michael was very pleasant and cant wait to go back.

Sincerely, my friends and I had doubts about the location, but in the end everything was perfect, Michael had every possible attention and left us with many extra details, accessibility to meters and trucks nearby, the description fits perfectly with the place and everything excellent, to have a good time and sleep comfortably.

Such a great location so easy for access to NYC the Weehawken Port Ferry is amazing for getting around.. The apartment was so clean and quiet. Felt very safe here especially as I was alone this trip . Very quick response to any questions. All in all top marks

Great location to be in! Near Chinatown and Soho and a small walk to the train station. Room was clean and as expected and we got a great view of the Manhattan bridge from our room!

What can you expect from The Leon Hotel? Clean, cozy rooms, nice sheets, an amazing shower.... and I do mean, AMAZING, fast and convenient check-in, and a Popeye's restaurant just outside the door. The city noise isn't too bad, even on the lower floors, but it is audible. But, hey, this is New York. If you like TV all of Spectrum cable looks to be available on the telly in the room. Our stay was very comfortable and the view of the Manhattan Bridge right outside our window, which included a window seat, was especially cool. The hotel is very conveniently located to everything Greenwich Village has to offer, in addition to Chinatown, Little Italy, lower Manhattan, as well as subways very close by. We will definitely stay there again if they'll have us.

This is a great spot in Chinatown that’s very close to grand subway stop, this makes getting around very easy! Also the room had a great view of the Brooklyn bridge!

Beyond expectation and great value! Extremely clean

Excellent location, very nice and spacious room. The coffee station in the room was outstanding! Cards used to get into room were also a souvenir we could keep when leaving! Taxes are added at check in but this is mentioned in the description.

Paul & Dannys place was exactly as expected loved the two flat screens in both common areas. The kitchen came fully equip with the tools needed to make the best meals. & not only did they out do themselves with the lighting but the outstanding amount of pillows made sleep just as great as back home. I will surely look to room with them in the near future.

The house was wonderful to stay in and the buses into NYC were very easy to use. The parking location and check-in were very clear with photos to help. Paul and Danny were very responsive and as flexible as possible.

You can’t get a more convenient location to visit NYC. Right next to the bus stop to take you right into Port Authority/ Time Square. Mark is very kind person and the room was very warm. There was no inconvenience because there was a subway near the house and there were many marts.

Mark’s place is ideal if you want to spend your day out in the city. It’s in a great location, very safe, and with plenty of privacy. It’s no luxury hotel, but Mark is transparent about that. He was very easy to communicate with throughout our stay, and very hospitable. I recommend his place if you are mostly looking for a place to sleep and leave your bags while you’re out.

Very clean & feels like home.

I had never been to New York before this trip and really did not know what the expect. But, this house definitely made me feel like home in the big Apple. The apartments has a real fresh, modern style that was set up really nice. The subway station was also around the corner that will take you up and down the heart of manhattan. The area also has plenty of delicious inexpensive food places. Would definitely recommend this place to my friends

I was unable to meet the host as her co-host let me in. The apartment was small but reflects the pictures very well. It was close to a subway station which made transportation easy. Good communication and an overall good stay!

The stay at The Watson Hotel was very pleasant. Check in was easy and hospitable. The room was very clean and tidy. The welcome message on the TV screen was a demonstration of personality and appreciation for us. The hotel is well located and close to subways, rest, shops etc. It is a good option for an upcoming trip to NY.

Great area, near Times Square. Subway station nearby. Central Park also nearby. It was pretty quiet, the beds were very comfortable and the staff was very friendly and nice, very accommodating. Price performance is very good and better than expected. I can only recommend.

I recommend this hotel really very well quite large and very clean, at the slightest problem the host to resolve the problem 10min after really very fast, you would be located opposite Madison Square Garden and also the metro Line 1, 2 and 3 to a Time Square station and 2 stations from Rockefeller Center and 5 min walk from the Empire State Building. Awesome location! There's so many dive bars and little restaurants literally around the corner. We had a great time just exploring that 2nd and 3rd Ave, not to mention times square's only a five minute walk. The room itself is a small, though, but that didn't really bother us. Great location! Hillary’s place is in the greatest location and we loved the space. It was roomier than we thought it would be based on the pictures and the bed is to die for. We stayed here to experience the NYE ball drop and we couldn’t have found a more perfect place. Only a short walk to Times Square. There’s also a yummy pizza place down the street called Little ROMA Pizza that’s open late night with great service and even better pizza! We would definitely stay here again. Thank you Hillary!

If you are looking for a stylish, comfortable place to stay, close to plenty of New York's hot spots - this is the place for you. The terrace offers beautiful views, and the apartment has everything you need for a relaxing stay, ánd more.

Easy location, we found travel to everything very simple! Location is a bit quieter away from the hustle and we had no issues with noise at night. We used BagBnb site to find places to store our luggage and that was also a breeze. Hope to be back next year! Thank you Hillary!

Great location of the apartment, quiet neighborhood, street facing apartment which gives the exact New York experience, host is amazing, there is a coffee/tea set up, along with the water from the water cooler machine. place is just as described! clean, cozy little studio with some lovely old world touches. the building is a walk-up, but it is a manageable two flights of stairs. the area around the apartment is full of things to do and see. we appreciated the provided coffee and tea supplies in the kitchen and the bed was very comfortable! stefanie was very easy to communicate with and kept us updated in a timely manner!

Good for only one person to stay in the heart of city for a night

So this place has really nice things but a couple if things I wish I was more clear on my experience would be. The place is very clean, and with a lot of thoughtful touches, the staff are super helpful, very kind and guest are nice. There is a very friendly energy space there which is great. The other guest are good too, and seem quality of people. My only issue it was the noise, the cabinets are so so close to each other, it felt a little claustrophobic for me and I felt as if I was sleeping in one room with 30 people. It was too close for my opinion. It was my first time experiencing something like this so maybe another time I would be more prepared to adjust. So my recommendation is to bring earplugs, get your gadgets to help you deal with noise. But if you are a heavy sleeper you might not notice as I heard people snowing clearly they had no issue to sleep however I am a light sleeper so these kind of stuff kept me up and when you are traveling you need to sleep. What I really liked is that this hotel donates a big portion of their profits to children’s organizations and like I said people are very nice. For NYC this kind of positive energy is hard to find. Their breakfast is very good, with a nice selection also I was going to need help with some medicine and I asked support to the staff and they were open to help me, at end I chose not to ask but their attitude is very friendly. So overall I recommend it.

The neighborhood is great, close to the hign line. Lots of great cafes around. Breakfast is super good, made with love and the hosts are charming. If you are a light sleeper, I recommend taking earplugs.

The little room was clean, the shower and the toilet to. It gave a vegetarian breakfast with fresh fruits and different kind of bread. Coffee and Tea,Juice , milk , also almond milk. The service personal was friendly & helpfull. 🙏🏻

Nora’s appartment is very well located with a lot of close subway limes that allow you to explore Manhattan very quickly. Its a very clean and cosy private suite. Nora is an excepcional host and leave her guests completly at ease! When I return to NY I will certainly look for this appartment again.

Nora was lovely and a great host. She was very communicative, helpful with the earlier check in and very friendly. The flat was in a great location with great bars and restaurants near by as well as subway stations and bus stops. Flat was lovely and the room was great with the private bathroom (which I found hard to find in New York). Would recommend staying there and we would happily stay there again!

The bright place is an apt name for the apartment as well as for Nora, who is a wonderful hostess! The place is conveniently located near great eats of all varieties is just steps from China town and convenient to all things in South East Manhatten. If you drive, Confusious Parking is $40 earlybird before 11 am and just a 10 min walk.

If you’re traveling to NYC do yourself a favor and stay here! The room is beautiful with the a stunning private bathroom. It blew my expectations out of the water. I felt safe in the area and there were many things to do. Nora was so sweet and warm- I felt welcome.

Nora’s place is accessible to a number of Subway stations so it’s easy to get uptown, across to Brooklyn, or down to the lower part of Manhattan. The neighbourhood has lots of bars, restaurants and shops & Nora has really helpfully put together a list of places she recommends. Felt really safe in the area - it’s busy and well lit. All in all a brilliant base for exploring other parts of Manhattan!

First of all, location is amazing! Very close to Central park. Host is very polite, clean room and clean public place in the flat. Especially, I have to say thank you for fresh air device in room. Oh wait, and free of charge tea and coffee. I Will be happy to be again there.

Tim's place is a cozy bedroom in an amazing location. Tim was very responsive and the communication was great. Loved the earplugs thoughtful touch! Slightly pricey with the cleaning fee and taxes but that's NYC for you!

Great location, great host

Tim was a great host and his place was as described. Very clean, and the room was cozy. It does get noisy at night as he and others have mentioned, but it didn’t bother me. Overall, great value and I’d highly recommend!

Perfectly clean, Well functioning heater in the room, Really nice host. And nice location. What can you ask more? Heater performance is terrific. If you put it on, you don't have to cover your blanket. Room was clean and the hot water was very good and the host was very friendly.

Tim's place was great! He was super easy to get in touch with, and the place is in a really fun, vibrant neighborhood. We would definitely visit again!

Quiet location in NJ is really great for access to NYC. Super convenient and cheap to get to the Port Authority/Times Square using local bus system. Very simple apartment so don't expect crazy frills or full kitchen, but it's exactly what I was looking for and Kam is a great host!!! 5 stars

You can expect to see a very clean space with all you need especially for a trip planned for NYC. Kam was very attentive and would respond in minutes to answer any questions. Great space!

We had a great stay at Kim’s apartment. It is a short walk to the bus stop. Kam gave us great tips to get in and out of the city. The only problem we had was the heating vent is extremely loud and woke us up in the middle of the night. Kam had ear plugs and a noice machine, which really helped. We loved the simplicity of traveling in and out of the city from this apartment. Thanks again Kam!

Brilliant stay, location is a short bus journey into Manhattan, we recommend starting your day early as this is when least amount of traffic is. Accommodation is in a great neighbourhood, felt safe the whole time and the views of the New York skyline are amazing. The festive decorations and snow on the street was an extra bonus. Very comfortable bed and good shower. Highly recommend. Thank you again Kam for advice on bagndrop and such a great stay.

Ap is very well located.   At the end of the street on the right you arrive and you already have a wonderful view of Manhatan. We took a lot of pictures.   The Apartanento is large, well ventilated, comfortable. Communication with Kam was excellent. We can't access TV and Netflix   I would just recommend that TV and Netflix work.   No bad, excellent bathroom and shower, kitchen available, super comfortable cane.   We will recommend

Clean and functional apartment, as described. Ventilation not inconvenient for us. Beautiful view of the Skyline from the end of the street, quiet area. Too bad we can not adjust the temperature of the housing. Expect $ 7 / day and per person (return) to spend the day in New York, buses all close to housing and very common. We recommend this accommodation.

Elle’s place is of an excellent location. The room is small but you have everything you need. Elle is also very nice to let me drop off my bags before the check in hour so that I can enjoy strolling downtown in the whole afternoon. If you want a good location and an authentic experience of staying at NYC, Elle’s place is your choice.

Amazing location and good value for the price!

Heat location. If you love cronuts, they are right across the street. Close to everything fun. Close to train. It is a small room, but it was a good value and nice for two people to sleep. Elle is also wonderful and has great stories.

The bedroom is one of the most peaceful places I’ve stayed at in NY, especially considering the perfect location! My number one pick when I visit NY again.

Everything is great about this place. Its spacious, bigger than expected. The location is amazing! Close to everything i need during my stay. Astor is very responsive. He let us checked in earlier although it was a last minute request. Highly recommended.

You simply cant beat the location for the price! So close to everything... shops, food, transportation. It was small, but sufficient for what we needed it for. Astor was also very responsive any time I had a question and was super accommodating for our luggage storage. Two things I will note, as I think it may be important for future guests.... This is literally on a fairly busy city street, with a pretty loud entry gate. With that said, as other tenants come and go, the gate and door is pretty loud, especially if you arent used to city sounds. If you're a light sleeper, I'd bring ear plugs or use white noise to help block it out. Also, the space where the toilet is, is small. Like super small. Its doable but if you like more space while doing your business, it may not be for you. All in all, a great place to stay with an unbeatable location.

Stayed on a weekend with my wife and 3 kids (tweens). Place was clean and as described. Outside noise was not too bad, and mostly quieted down by 11:00pm. My family had no problems falling asleep after a busy day though we did have a white noise(rain) app playing on a phone.

Couldn't be more perfect for a couple looking to set up shop right in the heart of NYC action, but without being literally right on top of Times Square. Super cool neighborhood with something on every corner, and within walking distance to so so so much. Astor was incredibly accommodating, instantaneous with responses, and all around a pleasure to interact with. It's fine find, is what I'm trying to say.

Perfect location to enjoy Hell's Kitchen, the space is exactly as described!

Astor was an avid communicator and answered all of my questions promptly. If you are looking for a place for you and a few people to stay in the city for a decent price, I highly recommend!

It’s 4 flights of stairs up if you include the bathroom, so be prepared. The lockbox is tricky in the dark and there were two but I eventually got it. Once in the apartment I was pleasantly surprised with numerous little touches not in other inexpensive places, bathroom items, soft lovely towel, three kinds of sheet/blanket/coverlet, separate room temp control, lots of kitchen amenities. A great place for the money!

Sne's apartment is clean, sunny and super convenient to getting around the city. More quiet than we expected, despite having with a bar and a coffee shop steps away from the front door. We enjoyed our stay and would recommend this place to anyone wanting to be close to the East Village and NYU, with easy access to the rest of Manhattan and even Brooklyn.

Sne’s place is absolutely amazing and Sne himself is awesome! The best Airbnb host we’ve ever had. Sne put together an awesome guide to the neighborhood with food recommendations and we had so much fun going on a food crawl around the East Village. He let us check in early, was super helpful and communicative, and was sooo friendly. The only “down” side to this is now we never want to stay anywhere else in New York! I would say this is a good problem to have. We will be back for sure!

I would highly recommend staying at Sne’s place! The private room was really big and the whole apartment was so stylish and homey! He made me a cup of DELICIOUS coffee as soon as we got in and got both of us water. The brochure he gave us was wonderfully designed, SO informative about our stay and the neighborhood, witty, and fun to read. I’ll definitely be holding onto it for other trips to the east village. I’ve never met a host who cares as much about ensuring their guests have a great time in the city as he does. Amazing location and great value! Stay here if you want to stay in the East Village and are okay with a shared living space!

Three of us stayed at Evan and Maria for a week, aiming for sightseeing of NYC. Apartment is in very safe and quiet location, comfortable and very clean. Everything is according to the description and photos. 24/7 grocery store just behind the corner. Two metro stations are in distance of 8 minutes walk. Thanks to very good location, use of subway is not necessary, bit longer walk and you reach Empire State, Chrysler, Times Square, 5th Ave, Grand Central etc. We have encountered a problem with bed linen at the beginning, but it was solved immediately. Owners were very helpful through all of our stay, responding instantly, solving our problems with great care. A lot of amenities are available in the apartment, useful things in kitchen and bathroom. Be aware that there is no view from the windows, just wall, shady, but it gives very quiet nights and comfortable sleep, perfect after whole day of visiting busy city. I recommend Evan and Maria as hosts.
