  • The Stewart Hotel as we booked it is a great value. The room was very clean (and ours was quite large, though the bathroom was Lilliputian-sized), the hotel was well-located, our check-in/check-out process was friendly and efficient. If you are looking for a hotel that has lots of amenities and a more spa-like atmosphere, with a hotel bar, etc... this probably isn't what you are looking for. However, if you are looking for an extremely affordable base from which to sightsee and be in the city, you can't go wrong. It is right across from MSG, and so close to Time Square. I will say, you will hear some street noise.

Sun-drenched 1 bedroom with a private bathroom has all the charm of a hotel but with the warmth of home. The room includes a private backyard with a grill and comfy living room & kitchen. 1 block/3 avenues from the bus/train. 40min to Times Square.

Our neighborhood is predominately a residential Latin community. All the charms of children playing on the streets, community gardens, and locals BBQ-ing with music in the air. (Insider tip: the best Tacos in the city are in our neighborhood)
  • Very nice and clean apartment. The kitchen is well equipped and the private bathroom is very comfortable. The bed is very soft, which is not for everyone. We haven't seen Chelsea very often, but she was very friendly and always helpful. The location is as described, you need something to reach Midtown. However, the connection with the metro is easy.

  • This house was exactly as showed here. Everything was ready for us, and check in and communication was super easy. The bed and shower were great. It was great to feel part of the neighborhood. 10/12minuteswalk To the subway. We would stay here again if coming back to NY!

  • Chelsea and Hernan’s place was incredible. The check in process was seamless. The bed is super comfy and the bathroom was spotless. We loved the neighborhood and the close location to bus stops.

  • Excellent place. Pretty close to all transportation facilities. Looks really artsy. Checkin and Checkout were very smooth. If you looking for stay for a couple of days in NYC then this is one of the best and affordable places.

    Kirshanthan2019-12-27T00:00:00Z
  • The home space was open, well accommodated to the season, and fit our needs. The location is away from the downtown/midtown areas, but transportation was easily accessible and nearby if needed. There are also stores nearby if you need something.

Downtown, the best bit of Manhattan. One of, if not the, LARGEST space on Airbnb in NYC. Your Own PRIVATE Bathroom & PRIVATE Bedroom, a Terrace off the bedroom, near to subways/buses, restaurants, bars, real luxury right in the middle of things. Just read our 500+ 5-STAR REVIEWS and you will see why we are SUPER-HOSTS and why you will just love this place, like other guests, I promise. Si, hablo bien espanol, Français parlé assez bien.
Downtown Manhattan, .. just like you see it in the films. Only so much better in real life !! All the details are below so that will see all that you will experience on your trip to the Big Apple - there are lots of things you will love when you stay here, but PLEASE PLEASE (did I say please?) try to read all the way to the end of the description, including sleeping arrangements, information on the area, getting around and the frequently asked questions. I know it is a bit of a novel, but it is well worth it and, from experience, it makes sure you understand everything in detail and ensures you will have the best stay that you can. Anything at all that you are not sure about, if you are new to Airbnb for example, just ask and I will get back asap and clarify. • Very spacious loft apartment ( about 2000 sq feet, 188 sq m, at last measure - so very BIG for New York) in the center of arguably the coolest area of the city (please do not argue ), modern, minimalist furniture , very open, very clean, I take great pride in having a spotless living environment (that goes for the host too). A Massive space that gets flooded with light via a wall of windows. Just take a look at the pictures. High security. Walking distance to subways & museums. Friendly building and very safe neighborhood. • Your own PRIVATE bathroom - Large, spacious, with Jacuzzi Bath, Shower, Hairdryer, Kohler fixtures. Fresh towels etc. Fully-stocked. All the shampoo and things you will ever need. Just for you. • Your own PRIVATE bedroom - Queen Bed for 2, firm and soft pillows for every type of sleeper, linens, towels, Large Flat Screen TV, Netflix, Amazon TV etc, Wardrobe. Again only for you. • Large kitchen - Open concept with an area to eat and with everything you need to design a gourmet feast, top of the line GE appliances, Microwave, Toaster, Kettle , Dishwasher, stainless steel counter top etc. Make any food you want - if it is really good, give me some. Make coffee there in the morning - always available -- you have your very own little coffee bar. • Very large living area, Real Fireplace, WiFi, Surround sound HDTV with HDMI hook-up and Roku TV, Bose sound system with iPhone/iPod hook-up, the best choice in music (in my opinion, most not consulted). Sit.... Enjoy • Large dining area - seats lots, great views over the city and over the Williamsburg Bridge. Eat foods mentioned above (probably while seated, although one can never be sure). • Natural brick walls (as opposed to unnatural I suppose) and a lovely Merbeau wooden floor, both of which look good (but don't say much). • Floor to ceiling windows throughout - bathed in sun (when the sun is out, mainly, of course) • Outside secluded seating area and balcony - you access directly from your room - very secluded (sometimes I cannot find it) • Full air conditioning / heating in the room and in rest of loft - be hot, be cool (most likely one at a time) • Bosch Washer and Dryer - for you to use - we like to reserve that for guests who stay for 3 nights or longer - being kind to the world too, we try to use cold water as well where possible. • Keyed Private elevator entrance directly into Loft - of course you have your own key (or stairs if u have the energy - does not seem so popular, strangely) • Printer / Scanner available. Pens and paper too, if you are a traditionalist.(although we draw the line at camel hair brushes, I'm sure you understand). And there is a universal power adapter for you to use to charge your gadgets too. • The building is a very smart development, a recently renovated 7-story apartment block with original brick facade, great views of the city skyline. Quiet, lovely, village feel, with parks and pedestrian areas just outside, but close enough to get anywhere very easily. I think I am allowed to say it is authentic. • This is a very large and comfortable space that you will be free to enjoy as you wish (this is your vacation after all). You will have lots of privacy and as well as the city, you have Books, Music (great as mentioned above), Roku TV with lots of channels and an online DVR and more .... or just relax and chat. Up to you. We provide the following publications too New York Times New York Magazine so you can feel a bit like a New Yorker • Located in the heart of Downtown - food (some of the best in the city), drink, fun, shopping all very, very close. A very cool residential neighborhood just a short trip to all the action. Perfect location for exploring both sides of the river too, as very close to Brooklyn and Williamsburg. One of the most historic neighborhoods in the U.S. (perhaps the most). We are only a few minutes away from the walkway along the East River, it has a great view of the Brooklyn bridge and Manhattan Bridge. Nearly opposite the Tenement Museum (which is really great). TV, Film and general interest media all the time (become a star - or an extra anyway) ,music clubs and comedy left right and center and Alphabet City, Ludlow Street , East Village, Chinatown and Soho all in spitting distance - and I can not spit far. Direct Access to cabs just outside building. • Food shopping wise, it is 3 blocks from a Whole Foods, the largest Trader Joe's on the east coast and few blocks from the new Essex Street Market. Great food shopping if you want. I hope everything is covered - email if you need more information. I hope to see you soon and I hope I can be part of your visit to this unique place.
Best neighborhood in Manhattan for independent coffee shops, cozy wine bars, up-and-coming restaurants (the area has 4 out of the top 10 best places to eat in this years NY magazine list) , intimate music venues, and interesting owner-operated shops. Like no other area in the city. A very peaceful cool neighborhood, yet just a short trip to all the action. Check out the "Guidebook" with my listing -- I send a much longer one that I have written directly to guests that do decide to stay before they get here - and they love it, mention it often in their reviews and keep asking for extra copies!!
  • Great place to stay! Carol and Mark are very nice and very welcoming. I love the location to be able to walk everywhere. Again, I highly recommend this as a great place to stay.

    William2020-02-26T00:00:00Z
  • This place is AMAZING - the pictures don’t do it justice (the tub is a jacuzzi!)!! Carol and Marc were consummate hosts, their hospitality generous without being intrusive. The location is so close to the subway, we were able to easily travel throughout the city with no trouble at all, and the area was and felt safe at all times. We can’t wait to return to the city and spend more time there!!! Thank you 😊

    Kelly2020-02-24T00:00:00Z
  • Ahhhhh :) what an amazing way to experience NYC. Firstly entering the apartment via an elevator set the mood immediately for the most new yorky stay ever! The apartment is amazing, all the beds all comfy, the shower lush, and the location brilliant. So much quieter than staying Central, which we loved. But not far away from anything! Close to subway and bus stops. And if you are tired (or have tired kids who don’t want to walk after you’ve been to the theatre) an Uber doesn’t break the bank to here either. Marc is just the sweetest gentleman and Carol is just lovely. Felt safe, felt welcome. Thank you guys :) I hope our paths cross again. Big loves xx

  • My girlfriend and I stayed here for a Valentine’s Day trip and it was absolutely wonderful. Marc and Carol are very kind and accommodating hosts to stay with. I highly recommend this place. It was very clean, communication was great, and it was overall a lovely experience in great area. We hope to stay with Marc and Carol again soon. 💛

    Christine2020-02-16T00:00:00Z
  • Carol and Marc are great hosts with lots of knowledge of the area and many helpful tips. Great hospitality and even better folks

    Brandon2020-02-10T00:00:00Z
  • Thanks for the stay! Carol + Marc are long-time hosts and it shows -- hospitality + communication are top-notch. Everything is as described.

This listing is for a private loft space in a SHARED apartment in a 1-FLOOR WALKUP. The loft is suitable for 2 people. The loft is up a flight of STEEP STAIRS in the apartment. The loft ceiling is ONLY 5 FEET HIGH. The loft is private but does NOT have a door.
We're offering a space in our lovely little shared 1-bedroom apartment with a private loft on the Upper West Side. It's close to the Subway and Central Park, and walking distance from Times Square. The building is quintessential New York, 100 years old with hardwood floors, brick fireplaces, a classic staircase, and great city life views. The loft space is above the kitchen, up a set of stairs. The staircase may be steep for some, but it is manageable. The queen-sized bed comfortably fits 2 people. The loft ceiling is only 5 feet high and the loft doesn't have much clothes storage, but it is private and quiet. It's great for sitting and sleeping - and besides, who comes to NYC to hang out inside? ;) NOTE: THE LOFT IS A SPACE IN A SHARED APARTMENT. IT IS NOT THE WHOLE APARTMENT. DO NOT STAY HERE IF YOU ARE LOOKING FOR A COMPLETE APARTMENT BY YOURSELF. NOTE: THE CEILING IN THE LOFT IS ONLY 5 FEET HIGH. NOTE: THE LOFT IS UP A STEEP SET OF STAIRS. NOTE: THE APARTMENT IS A 1-FLOOR WALKUP. If you're interested in renting the bedroom in this apartment, check out our profile for more info.
We have an amazing location close to the Subway, Times Square, Lincoln Center, the Hudson River, and Central Park. You can get to all the best NYC attractions in less than 15 minutes on the Subway. There are tons of great bars, restaurants, and markets within walking distance.

  • A wonderful location at a wonderful price— the Loft's location is so conveniently close to Central Park and the subway station! My friend and I visited NYC for three nights to sightsee, and the Loft was a great place to come home to after a day of city-wandering. The AirBNB description is accurate and transparent about the room, the stairs, and the loft height. None of these were issues for my friend or I, and we loved the space. The amenities (shower, towels, guidebooks, TV) are very thoughtful, and Kevin's clear communication helped greatly with the check-in/check-out process. Highly recommend to travelers looking for a good location. *If you want to rent a space with the same location but without the loft stairs/height, Kevin has a listing for the other room ("Comfy UWS Room near Central Park & Times Square") in the apartment! Either way, the location is a true gem.

Comfortable, well appointed and wonderfully maintained two bedroom apartment in the heart of it all! Spacious apartment with 2 full size bedrooms, living room, office/dining room, kitchen with stainless steel frost-free fridge, dishwasher etc.
Third floor rear apartment makes it nice and quiet while still being steps from Times Square. This is a pre-war walk up building with a no frills approach, this apartment is on the 3rd Floor. The apartment itself has had many modern touches added, such as new appliances, flooring in the living room, while still having rustic, NYC apartment charm.
Less a block away from Times Sq. Restaurants, nightlife, Broadway shows, shopping and transportation to virtually everywhere in Manhattan!
  • This was our (my best friend and I) first time in NYC. We were a little nervous about not knowing nah of the areas and feeling safe but this AirBNB was amazing! It was right by a bunch of really fun bars, the little shop right next door was super cute. It is 3 stories up and the stair case was a little steep, so keep that in mind while packing! We packed all of our stuff in a backpack, which was ideal in this situation. We didn’t use any of the amenities in the house (kitchen, TV, etc) but everything was very clean and tidy. The bathroom is small but just what we needed. Being from Florida, neither of us have ever used/seen a radiator, which is what keeps the place warm. One night we got back and it was making a strange noise (to us) and I texted the owner and he was quick to respond and said that was normal as it adjusts to the temperature (for those of you who don’t have experiences with radiators). It was also super close to Time Square. We would absolutely stay here again! As two women in a big city, we felt very safe here, which was super important to us!

    Jae2020-01-26T00:00:00Z
  • The flat its gonna make you feel like in your home if you are looking for a comfortable place to stayed this one is the correct for you. It’s really close to times squares and for the subways station. The flat it’s clean and Ethan it’s a great host.

    Luis2020-01-02T00:00:00Z
  • Great place all round! Ethan was very helpful particularly with suggestions to nice local restaurants. The check in and out was extremely flexible, he will work around you as best as possible! The location of the apartment is second to none, brilliant to access all the main sight seeing areas as well as bars, restaurants and the subway! The apartment holds a very warm cosy atmosphere which is perfect to relax in when you come in from walking around New York for 12 hours a day! The additional facilities inside the apartment other then the normal appliances are very beneficial to have..great Tv, Wifi, dishwasher, ( huge frost-free fridge/freezer for lots of wine, beer and snacks!), hair dryer, iron and ironing board. I would like to thank Ethan once again for a spectacular stay and I highly recommend booking this apartment.

    Lauren2020-01-01T00:00:00Z
  • Ethan is a great host with great communication. Place was as advertised with excellent ameneties and close to Times Square. Apartment is on second floor and no elevator - stairs only

    Bruce2019-12-27T00:00:00Z
  • Ethan's place is exactly as advertised. It's a great location and good accommodations for the price. We had easy communication with him.

    Christa2019-09-10T00:00:00Z
  • Excellent location with quick access to everything.

    Mike2019-09-03T00:00:00Z
  • The location is great - away from the Times Sq noise but close enough for transport convenience. The playground next door was a nice touch for the kids as well. It is a prewar 2nd floor walk-up, so definitely not for people with issues on the stairs or lifting luggage. One of the beds is not exactly comfortable, so it may be a problem if you have more than one person with back issues in your party. But overall, we had a great stay, and communication was very smooth. We checked in super late due to our late flight, but Kelly greeted us with a smile. Thank you!

**elevator fully renovated on May&June/2018** Our cool charming studio in an elevator bld is two blocks from 7 subway lines in one of the most beautiful neighborhoods in Manhattan. The apt is great for a couple and we also have a sofa bed. Enjoy the local bars around the corner and great food!
Elevator building located in the heart of Manhattan's famous union Square District. The apartment is on the 6th floor, with great lighting and quiet space. The apartment is located on 15th street and 3rd avenue. Location, location, location! This New York City Apartment Style is perfect for two guests but we also have a sofa bed that can accommodate a third guest. The sofa bed is a brand new futon full size (80.5'' W x 53'' D), so it can accommodate up to two people (although it’s more comfortable for one) and we also have an air mattress in case the guests don't mind a tight space. It is two minutes away from Union Square and a plethora of amazing restaurants, shopping and other attractions. Greenwich Village, East Village, West Village, Gramercy and Flatiron are all within walking distance and the famous Union Square is just steps away. This studio is also just a few blocks from 7 subway lines (the 6, N, Q, R and L subway trains), allowing easy access to the all of New York City. Please scroll through photos for detailed information of what amenities and other services are provided. ★ This apartment is very safe, convenient, clean, and secure.
The East Village/Union Square/Gramercy are the greatests NYC neighborhoods Manhattan has to offer. Anyone can go see lights in times square but all true NY'ers want to live downtown Manhattan because it's the true heart beat of NYC and makes you feel alive. I've lived here for just over six years and I absolutely love it for its vibrancy, good vibes, endless supply of restaurants and bars, fantastic local shops, great coffee, etc.
  • Perfect location and comfortable bed and a great atmosphere. Would highly recommend.

  • Carol was a great host. Very accommodating and quick to communicate. The apartment was tidy and comfortable. We never heard neighbors and street noise was minimal The location is incredible. Close to transit and walkable to many wonderful neighborhoods. We were able to make it uptown or downtown in less than 20 minutes. Would definitely stay again!

    Paige2020-02-11T00:00:00Z
  • Even though it was only a studio apartment, it was very spacious for my little family (my husband and our child). Really felt like home away from home.

    Noelle2020-01-26T00:00:00Z
  • Carol was an amazing host. Her apartment was literally in the best location in manhattan. Every thing is close by and the apartment was such a great place for a couple to cozy up in. The place was stocked with every essential and was like a home away from home. A great place to stay in if your visiting. Great host, all the essentials, easy check-in, and very accommodating.

    Naim2020-01-20T00:00:00Z
  • Central place to stay while in NYC. Really can't beat the location if you're hoping to have the convenience of being in Manhattan. Be it brooklyn or upper manhattan, my friends and I were only a 20/40 minute subway ride away from it all. The place was smaller than I had anticipated but that was all my fault, I had a different expectation in my head. Mostly due to the fact that I'm not a New Yorker haha. Nonetheless, Carol was a great host and was quick to respond to my questions prior to my visit. Obtaining the key was easy peasy and I quite liked that she left it with a doorman who would be there 24/7.

    Lisa2020-01-12T00:00:00Z
  • Charming is a great way to describe this place. It feels very homey, it's safe and there is a general comfort that comes from spending time inside. It's well located with it being pretty close to most attractions or at least to access points to modes of transport to get to them. Carol's communication, guidance and advice is phenomenal and I felt like I could ask her any question at any time. Overall I had a lovely time in this apartment and would go back in a heartbeat.

    Michael2020-01-05T00:00:00Z

  • to book with your eyes closed .... the location is great, 5 minutes from the metro which takes you to Time Square and downtown NY ... a supermarket opposite the metro station .... the studio is good, a mezzanine bed and a sofa bed for a family of 4 is perfect! We find in the studio the first necessities, very practical (salt, sugar, toilet paper, paper towel, shower gel ....) ... Michael is a very nice host who gives advice the first day ... which is very available. He even kept our suitcases on the last day since we took off at 9:30 pm !! ... I highly recommend !! Thank you again we had a great stay

  • Michael’s place is centrally located to a lot of Harlem attractions such as Apollo Theater & Jazz History Museum. Lots of great restaurants and shopping. It’s a super cute space and I’d definitely book it again. The subway and buses were a short walk from the loft. Micheal also provided snacks and drinks which came in handy!

    Quiana2020-02-10T00:00:00Z
  • Great spot. Michael has everything you need and more. Very close to Subway.

    Shane2020-02-02T00:00:00Z
  • Michael is an incredibly friendly, funny and accommodating host, the apartment is extremely charming: not an anonymous vacation rental, but rather a personal studio, high ceilings and terrace are great! Quiet and in a good location, the Brownstone House is a perfect starting point to discover Harlem (Red Rooster around the corner) and the rest of NYC (one subway line in about 5 minutes, two more in 10 minutes).

    Pascale2020-01-30T00:00:00Z
  • The place has everything you need and really gives you that ny feel. We absolutely loved the space. It has a loft bed, and two pull outs so I’d say it could sleep 5-6 people. Cable, WiFi, right by the local attractions in Harlem. We loved it! He also helps you get to wherever you need to go so ask all the questions you need to! Michael was very pleasant and cant wait to go back.

    Kateidra2020-01-26T00:00:00Z
  • Sincerely, my friends and I had doubts about the location, but in the end everything was perfect, Michael had every possible attention and left us with many extra details, accessibility to meters and trucks nearby, the description fits perfectly with the place and everything excellent, to have a good time and sleep comfortably.

    Eduardo2020-01-24T00:00:00Z
  • very good location, near metro and 15 min walk from Central Park. the accommodation is very well equipped, very warm, clean, really pleasant Michael is very responsive and available 100% recommended

  • Nice and clean space, located in a good area close to bars and restaurants.

    Devon2020-02-20T00:00:00Z
  • What can you expect from The Leon Hotel? Clean, cozy rooms, nice sheets, an amazing shower.... and I do mean, AMAZING, fast and convenient check-in, and a Popeye's restaurant just outside the door. The city noise isn't too bad, even on the lower floors, but it is audible. But, hey, this is New York. If you like TV all of Spectrum cable looks to be available on the telly in the room. Our stay was very comfortable and the view of the Manhattan Bridge right outside our window, which included a window seat, was especially cool. The hotel is very conveniently located to everything Greenwich Village has to offer, in addition to Chinatown, Little Italy, lower Manhattan, as well as subways very close by. We will definitely stay there again if they'll have us.

    Edward2020-02-15T00:00:00Z
  • This is a great spot in Chinatown that’s very close to grand subway stop, this makes getting around very easy! Also the room had a great view of the Brooklyn bridge!

  • Perfect location, close to subway, main attractions and shops. Despite being in the city center it is calm and quite for NY. Thank you Hillary for our perfect stay. I recommend

    Hanna2020-01-28T00:00:00Z
  • Awesome location! There's so many dive bars and little restaurants literally around the corner. We had a great time just exploring that 2nd and 3rd Ave, not to mention times square's only a five minute walk. The room itself is a small, though, but that didn't really bother us. Great location! Highly recommend.

    David2020-01-20T00:00:00Z
  • Hillary’s place is in the greatest location and we loved the space. It was roomier than we thought it would be based on the pictures and the bed is to die for. We stayed here to experience the NYE ball drop and we couldn’t have found a more perfect place. Only a short walk to Times Square. There’s also a yummy pizza place down the street called Little ROMA Pizza that’s open late night with great service and even better pizza! We would definitely stay here again. Thank you Hillary!

  • If you are looking for a stylish, comfortable place to stay, close to plenty of New York's hot spots - this is the place for you. The terrace offers beautiful views, and the apartment has everything you need for a relaxing stay, ánd more.

  • Easy location, we found travel to everything very simple! Location is a bit quieter away from the hustle and we had no issues with noise at night. We used BagBnb site to find places to store our luggage and that was also a breeze. Hope to be back next year! Thank you Hillary!

Private bedroom (75 sq ft) with full mattress fits two comfortably. South facing windows get great sunlight. Full closet & dresser draws. Fresh Linens and towels always provided. Iron and hair dryer provided. Walkup apt (no elevator). Full bath, kitchen, living room (with entertainment center), and roof deck also included as shared spaces. Vibrant neighborhood (main factor in listing price). Spaced shared with me & another guest. Understand that these older buildings aren't especially spacious.
Fairly historic building representing the classic east village neighborhood. Spiral staircase in the apartment leads to a private roof deck with a gorgeous view of lower Manhattan. In nicer weather, there will be a full hammock set up which fits two. Reiterating here that this apartment is not sprawling and huge. Do not expect that.
Arguably Manhattan's most vibrant neighborhood in terms of live music, fine art, restaurants, bars, and clubs. Very close to the quaint Tompkins Sq park, home to the city's first dog run. Major subway line extremely close to the apartment. Public transit is ample. This is real NYC, far from the typical tourist traps.

Welcome to the small CHATEAU IN THE TREES.The Apt is in the heart of the East Village Manhattan, considered by many to be one of the most dynamic neighborhoods of the world. You will have an entire studio apartment to yourselves, Charming and Quiet as you can get.Designed, decorated and furnished in a French Style of Decor. The apartment has a beautiful garden view with many trees. You Hear no traffic noise just birds chirping away, truly special for NYC. Apt faces south so you get plenty of light.
I grew up in New York City and this is the quietest apartment I have ever had. You will have an entire studio apartment to yourselves. The view out the window of all the trees are a rare find and creates such a peaceful setting. I have never heard so many birds before in New York City, it’s a symphony of song in the morning. The apartment has a Queen size bed and a very wide modern couch that turns into a bed for a single person by moving the single portion of the couch to the bottom part of the love seat portion of the couch to create a long comfortable bed for a 3rd person. I hope you will enjoy the decor, it has a european feel towards the French side. You will be in the heart of the East Village in Manhattan, considered to be one of the most exciting and dynamic neighborhoods of the world, a true New York City experience. Just step right out the door and you will have everything at your feet. Enjoy, have fun and please be respectful of the neighbors and keep the noise down to a minimum in the apartment. PLEASE ABSOLUTELY NO SMOKING IN THE APARTMENT OR THE FIRE ESCAPE OR IN THE HALLWAYS.
This is the East Village one of the most dynamic, exciting and energetic neighborhoods of the world. In the heart of down town Manhattan. The best of everything New York City has to offer is just a step out the door. A true New York City experience. Enjoy!!
  • place is just as described! clean, cozy little studio with some lovely old world touches. the building is a walk-up, but it is a manageable two flights of stairs. the area around the apartment is full of things to do and see. we appreciated the provided coffee and tea supplies in the kitchen and the bed was very comfortable! stefanie was very easy to communicate with and kept us updated in a timely manner!

The western bedroom in my 3 bedroom penthouse apartment. I say penthouse because it’s the entire top floor, not because it’s a $15 million apartment with a swimming pool and helipad. :) This is Brooklyn. But I think you’ll love it for the same reasons I do: 5 trains within 5 minutes, a rooftop facing Manhattan, live music everywhere, late night restaurants, nearby McCarren park and a feeling like you’re in an actual neighborhood! 7th yr living here (4th as host) and still love it! You will too!
IMPORTANT UPDATES: 1) 5 Day Maximum Rental - No Exceptions. Please don't enquiry for longterm stays. DESCRIPTION: DIY IS YOUR FRIEND - You'll notice this as soon as you come into the apartment. James and I loved building things and putting the apartment together with our own touches. The living room cocktail table we brought from central Brooklyn on the subway and spent four days sanding, cleaning, painting and constructing it into a table. You'll see touches like this all over the apartment. (Current Project: refinish the stairs and hardwood on the apartments landing. The landlord's janky carpet had to go!) HAVE YOUR CARRIE BRADSHAW MOMENT - Pop out the window in the living room like Carrie and have a smoke on the fire escape or watch the sunset, or climb up to the roof and have a martini (we usually drink margaritas up there) and have a great NYC moment. BOUJI TO BUSTED - Have drinks on the roof of the Wythe Hotel for $14 and look out over all of Williamsburg or spend $5 and get a PBR and a shot at Union Cafe with a taco in their back garden and listen to some live music. This neighborhood caters to the whole spectrum and you can eat til 2 am and drink til 4 am. LOWER MANHATTAN IS 1 STOP AWAY - 5 Train lines within a 5 minute walk of the apartment, the J, M, Z and G, L so getting into Manhattan is easy and the trains run 24 hours a day. ENJOY YOUR PRIVACY - If you want to have a chat catch me when I'm having a cocktail on the weekends and getting ready to go out and we'll have a laugh, but other than that you have privacy and I let you do your thing while I recharge during the week in my space doing mine. 4 YEARS OF AIRBNB HOSTING - 700 GUESTS - Yep. That's right. Been doing this for 4 years and have had over 700 guests so I know what I'm doing. Hope to meet you soon! If you have any questions, ask away!i
Williamsburg is amazing. Anyone who has lived in NYC for awhile can tell you there is an immediate difference in the energy of this place to Manhattan. It feels more neighborhoody, people are friendly and there's a creative vibe everywhere. You can't go into a bar or restaurant without bumping into designers, photographers, musicians, painters, web developer and the list goes on and on. There is music everywhere and lots of cheap drinks for the hipster crowd. It's a fantastic neighborhood.

This Vegetarian House and Non-Smoking property offers our guests cozy single cabins. To complement your stay at this unique little property we throw in the price a luggage storage space and complimentary breakfast with a selection of organic teas, coffee, bread and cereal as well as milk, almond milk and fruit. Get yourself the best good night's sleep one can possibly find in NYC for the price asked. Zzzzzzzzz
Please note that we are a hostel type of place with single cabins. We are small in size but very clean and friendly. For a proper ventilation and heat/cold distribution our cabins have a wood lattice covered ceiling. The pictures give a very accurate representation.
Our neighborhood is Chelsea! What it means? It means that you are minutes away from Broadway, Empire State Building, Madison Square Garden, Times Square and other famous wonders of NYC.
  • Great place to stay for a few nights and and visit Manhattan. Great location, safe cabins, nothing to say!!

    Roxane2020-02-20T00:00:00Z
  • Good for only one person to stay in the heart of city for a night

    Sijie2020-02-19T00:00:00Z
  • So this place has really nice things but a couple if things I wish I was more clear on my experience would be. The place is very clean, and with a lot of thoughtful touches, the staff are super helpful, very kind and guest are nice. There is a very friendly energy space there which is great. The other guest are good too, and seem quality of people. My only issue it was the noise, the cabinets are so so close to each other, it felt a little claustrophobic for me and I felt as if I was sleeping in one room with 30 people. It was too close for my opinion. It was my first time experiencing something like this so maybe another time I would be more prepared to adjust. So my recommendation is to bring earplugs, get your gadgets to help you deal with noise. But if you are a heavy sleeper you might not notice as I heard people snowing clearly they had no issue to sleep however I am a light sleeper so these kind of stuff kept me up and when you are traveling you need to sleep. What I really liked is that this hotel donates a big portion of their profits to children’s organizations and like I said people are very nice. For NYC this kind of positive energy is hard to find. Their breakfast is very good, with a nice selection also I was going to need help with some medicine and I asked support to the staff and they were open to help me, at end I chose not to ask but their attitude is very friendly. So overall I recommend it.

  • Thank you for the powerful vegan breakfast!

    Mandy2020-02-15T00:00:00Z
  • The neighborhood is great, close to the hign line. Lots of great cafes around. Breakfast is super good, made with love and the hosts are charming. If you are a light sleeper, I recommend taking earplugs.

  • The little room was clean, the shower and the toilet to. It gave a vegetarian breakfast with fresh fruits and different kind of bread. Coffee and Tea,Juice , milk , also almond milk. The service personal was friendly & helpfull. 🙏🏻

My place is in the most charming location in NYC, next to great coffee shops, restaurants, boutiques, galleries and bars. Subway is only 1 block away. Walking distance to Soho. Room has a private bathroom, oversized windows, it’s spacious and quiet. Living room has dining and relaxing area. Washer and dryer in the building. Elevator, so you don’t need to carry your suitcases up. Beautiful common rooftop with the view of the city where you can enjoy your coffee or a glass of wine at night.
It’s a 2 bedroom apartment with big living room and kitchen in between. Both rooms have private bathrooms. Feel free to use dining and relaxing area, rooftop, washer dryer in the building. Most likely I’ll be staying at another room.
Lower East Side is full of best coffee-shops, restaurants, galleries, boutiques and bars. Soho, Little Italy, Nolita, East Village and Chinatown is walking distance away. Very charming and safe area. Some of my favourite places around is Dudleys, Dimes, Kiki's, Metrograph, Bario Chino, An Choi, The Fat Radish, Forgetmenot and Bar Belly. Great coffeeshop across the street. Market every Saturday round the corner with vintage and new designer clothing and food vendors.

  • Nora was lovely and a great host. She was very communicative, helpful with the earlier check in and very friendly. The flat was in a great location with great bars and restaurants near by as well as subway stations and bus stops. Flat was lovely and the room was great with the private bathroom (which I found hard to find in New York). Would recommend staying there and we would happily stay there again!

    Celina2019-12-13T00:00:00Z
  • The bright place is an apt name for the apartment as well as for Nora, who is a wonderful hostess! The place is conveniently located near great eats of all varieties is just steps from China town and convenient to all things in South East Manhatten. If you drive, Confusious Parking is $40 earlybird before 11 am and just a 10 min walk.

  • Nora’s place is accessible to a number of Subway stations so it’s easy to get uptown, across to Brooklyn, or down to the lower part of Manhattan. The neighbourhood has lots of bars, restaurants and shops & Nora has really helpfully put together a list of places she recommends. Felt really safe in the area - it’s busy and well lit. All in all a brilliant base for exploring other parts of Manhattan!

*Now hosting guests 2 weeks plus due to the corona virus* This apartment is a 1-minute walk from 3 major subway lines, and centrally-located between midtown and downtown. It sits on the border between the young and stylish East Village and Lower East Side neighborhoods, surrounded by inexpensive restaurants, cafes, bars, galleries and shops. The room features a memory-foam bed, TV with Netflix, and a street-facing window. The rest of the apartment is yours to enjoy as well, welcome!
Situated in a renovated two-bedroom apartment, your private room is furnished with brand-new amenities, including a desk, ultra-comfortable queen-size memory foam mattress, soft towels and a 26" flat screen TV with Netflix. The bathroom is shared with me (I live in the other bedroom). Your room has a south-facing window with lots of light and a blackout shade. It overlooks a lively corner, which can sometimes be a bit noisy (mostly on the weekends). I am happy to provide earplugs for your comfort. You have access to the roof and its fantastic view of the Freedom Tower, the Chrysler Building and more. The room has its own air conditioning during the summer and its own heater during winter.
One of the New York City’s liveliest and trendiest neighborhoods, the Lower East Side offers countless restaurants, shops, bars, nightclubs, art galleries and performance venues for you to enjoy. (Pianos, Beauty and Essex, Arlene's Grocery, The Box and GalleryBar are just a few nightlife examples). The neighborhood is dynamic, safe and has a lot to offer historically - in the past it served as home to so many of the city's immigrants that it even has its own museum (The Tenement Museum). Staying in the Lower East Side is easy, with food, other supplies and laundry readily available and close by. There is a laundromat less than one block from the apartment where you can wash or have your clothing washed, and a grocery store in the building next door. The subway (about a minute's walk from the apartment) offers easy transportation all over the city, though it's also possible to walk to many of the city's sites if you enjoy walking. When you are ready to explore further, you can check out other stylish neighborhoods nearby, including SOHO, Greenwich Village, the East Village, NOHO and more.

  • Perfectly clean, Well functioning heater in the room, Really nice host. And nice location. What can you ask more? Heater performance is terrific. If you put it on, you don't have to cover your blanket. Room was clean and the hot water was very good and the host was very friendly.

Location, Location, Location - 10 minute bus ride (1 stop) to NYC Times Square. Bus stop is a 2 mins walk from house and frequency is every few minutes for 24 hours. Super safe and Quiet neighborhood. Brand new, very clean, studio apartment with a private bath room, kitchenette and private work space. The studio is renovated with natural stone floors, high end finishings and closets, throughout the apartment. Breathtaking views of NYC 1 block away.
The Studio is located in the below ground section of the house. So you will need to walk up and down stairs, to enter and exit the building.
The famous Hamilton Avenue is a 2 mins walk away. This has breathtaking views of the city and a great place for a night stroll to near by restaurants.
  • Quiet location in NJ is really great for access to NYC. Super convenient and cheap to get to the Port Authority/Times Square using local bus system. Very simple apartment so don't expect crazy frills or full kitchen, but it's exactly what I was looking for and Kam is a great host!!! 5 stars

  • Great location.

    Bill2020-02-02T00:00:00Z
  • You can expect to see a very clean space with all you need especially for a trip planned for NYC. Kam was very attentive and would respond in minutes to answer any questions. Great space!

  • We had a great stay at Kim’s apartment. It is a short walk to the bus stop. Kam gave us great tips to get in and out of the city. The only problem we had was the heating vent is extremely loud and woke us up in the middle of the night. Kam had ear plugs and a noice machine, which really helped. We loved the simplicity of traveling in and out of the city from this apartment. Thanks again Kam!

    Angelina2019-12-30T00:00:00Z
  • Brilliant stay, location is a short bus journey into Manhattan, we recommend starting your day early as this is when least amount of traffic is. Accommodation is in a great neighbourhood, felt safe the whole time and the views of the New York skyline are amazing. The festive decorations and snow on the street was an extra bonus. Very comfortable bed and good shower. Highly recommend. Thank you again Kam for advice on bagndrop and such a great stay.

    Lois2019-12-05T00:00:00Z
  • Ap is very well located.   At the end of the street on the right you arrive and you already have a wonderful view of Manhatan. We took a lot of pictures.   The Apartanento is large, well ventilated, comfortable. Communication with Kam was excellent. We can't access TV and Netflix   I would just recommend that TV and Netflix work.   No bad, excellent bathroom and shower, kitchen available, super comfortable cane.   We will recommend

    José Luiz2019-11-30T00:00:00Z
  • Clean and functional apartment, as described. Ventilation not inconvenient for us. Beautiful view of the Skyline from the end of the street, quiet area. Too bad we can not adjust the temperature of the housing. Expect $ 7 / day and per person (return) to spend the day in New York, buses all close to housing and very common. We recommend this accommodation.

Welcome to your own private room in THE BEST NEIGHBORHOOD IN MANHATTAN! located on SPRING st. 20 seconds walk to the train E, C. 5-7 min walk to the train 1, B, D, F, M, N, R & 6. Subway 12 min to Times Sq. There will be me in the apartment and very occasionally other guests in my bedroom if I am out of town. And I watch dogs too, so there might be cute dogs. Usually small ones. Maybe more dogs for holidays. So more during the summer time. DOG LOVERs only. No elevator in my building.
Amazing location! Dominique Ansel bakery is across the street in the next block. Very cool/fun/well-known shops such as Diesel, Channel, Vosges Haut-Chocolat, Ben Sherman, John Varvatos, and more within 6 blocks. It's just fun stepping away to outside. Everything you can see in Soho is here. Not only that, train E and C is literally across the street, and extremely convenient. All utilities are in great condition and the bed is super comfy. Check in and Check out can be flexible. No elevator in the building. I watch cute dogs sometimes and they stay with me.
Just so amazing neighborhood! Walking distance from everywhere. You are in Soho! One of the coolest area of Manhattan. Close to Times Square, Macy's, West Village, East Village, Washington Square Park, and many many many popular restaurants, cafes, and bars. If you are here to shop, it's easy to go out and come back to drop off your purchases and go back out. Time Saver. Lately Suger Fish opened in the next building.
  • Comfy, cute, & quiet from traffic!

  • Great place in the heart of SoHo with easy transit options and countless dining options right outside. Great for solo travelers looking for a quiet place to rest after a day of exploring the city. Thanks, Elle

  • Elle’s place is of an excellent location. The room is small but you have everything you need. Elle is also very nice to let me drop off my bags before the check in hour so that I can enjoy strolling downtown in the whole afternoon. If you want a good location and an authentic experience of staying at NYC, Elle’s place is your choice.

    Huimin2020-01-13T00:00:00Z
  • Elle's place is exactly as advertised. Great for work travel or just a place to sleep while visiting the city. She is extremely friendly and responsive. I definitely book again in the future.

  • Amazing location and good value for the price!

    Christina2019-12-10T00:00:00Z
  • Heat location. If you love cronuts, they are right across the street. Close to everything fun. Close to train. It is a small room, but it was a good value and nice for two people to sleep. Elle is also wonderful and has great stories.

    Madison2019-12-08T00:00:00Z
  • The bedroom is one of the most peaceful places I’ve stayed at in NY, especially considering the perfect location! My number one pick when I visit NY again.

Centrally-located, safe STUDIO apartment one block from the Theatre District and two blocks from Times Square. Well-connected to everything Manhattan has to offer—and all five Boroughs. Surrounded by countless bars, restaurants, lounges, nightclubs, boutique shops, and attractions. Perfect for singles and couples, and small groups of up to five looking for affordable, yet chic, accommodations. PLEASE READ ALL OF THE INFORMATION PROVIDED BEFORE BOOKING.
NOTES FROM THE HOST: *****Apartment is being painted next week. Please excuse the handful of three years-worth of dings--thank you.***** PLEASE READ—MANY OF YOUR QUESTIONS ARE LIKELY ANSWERD. Respectfully, if you are considering booking with Airbnb—and you are doing so with high-end, premier luxury hotel expectations—please do not book this apartment and consider a hotel. However, if you understand the concept of Airbnb, please know that this apartment will have EVERYTHING you will need to enjoy your trip. As you can see from the reviews, virtually every guest has been completely satisfied with their experience and given a 5-star rating—some guests have even been repeat visitors. This apartment is perfect for singles and couples, and they will find it very comfortable and intimate. Moreover, this apartment is also the perfect budget accommodation for small groups of three to five people. PLEASE CONSIDER THE FOLLOWING: Up to two people is PERFECT. Three is GREAT. Four is GOOD. Five is OKAY. More than five is VERY CRAMPED. New York City is a very expensive place when it comes to accommodations, among other things. This is why I have furnished the apartment in such a way to accommodate up to five people easily with a modest amount of room. There is no centralized air conditioning and heating system, which is very common for New York City apartments. Therefore, during the months where it is hot, the apartment is equipped with a window air conditioning unit. Please be advised that, in addition to some common street noise (discussed below), noise will generate from the unit while it is running—it is by no means loud and intolerable, you will just notice it’s on. LOCATION INFORMATION: The building is located near the corner of 47th Street and 9th Avenue. The building is one block from the heart of the THEATER DISTRICT and two blocks from the heart of TIMES SQUARE. This is one of THE MOST WELL-CONNECTED Airbnb’s in New York City. The closest metro stops are the C and E trains (located at 50th and 8th Avenue), and the 1-train (located at 50th and 7th Avenue). If you ride either of the aforementioned trains ONE STOP SOUTH, you will be at the 42ND STREET METRO HUB (access to A, C, E, N, Q, R, 1, 2, 3, 7-trains). If you ride the 1-train OR C-train ONE STOP NORTH, you will be at the COLUMBUS CIRCLE/59TH STREET METRO HUB (access to A, C, B, D, 1-trains). The building is a historic, landmarked townhouse (now converted into a multi-apartment building) in the heart of one of the BUSIEST NEIGHBORHOODS in New York City—Hell’s Kitchen. PLEASE NOTE: You will be subject to common street noise from locals and tourists alike. More often than not, guests have not found this to be a problem (per reviews). However, if you are a light sleeper, I suggest bringing earplugs. You will also be surrounded (and steps away) from countless bars, restaurants, lounges, nightclubs, attractions, and boutique shops—tons of activities in the immediate vicinity. BUILDING/APARTMENT INFORMATION: The apartment is a first-floor unit. It is a sunken townhouse entrance, so the “first floor” is about 3ft. (1m) down. There are two steps at the exterior front of the building that guests must walk up or down depending on whether they are entering or exiting the building. Although irrelevant given the previous, to be clear, guests will not have to walk up or down any staircases and or use an elevator. The apartment is a STUDIO apartment. Specifically, it is a Manhattan/New York City studio apartment, which means that it is smaller than the average studio apartment anywhere else in the United States. However, for the area (and for New York City) it is one of the larger studio apartments you will find. IMPORTANT THINGS TO KNOW: SLEEPING ARRANGEMENTS: There are four beds total—one queen-sized bed (sleeps two), two twin-sized (sleeps one) day beds, and one twin trundle bed. HOST PROVIDES sheets, pillows, and comforters (and a few extra blankets) for all beds. BATHROOM: Equipped with towels, wash clothes, hair dryer. PLEASE NOTE: Bedding, towels, and other essentials that guests use on their bodies is replaced once a month—everything is essentially brand new. KITCHEN: Equipped with pans, cooking utensils, silverware, dishware, and glassware—the essentials. There are no measuring glasses or measuring spoons. HOST DOES NOT PROVIDE cooking ingredients, spices, or special cooking accommodations. Guests can use anything in the kitchen, including foods and ingredients, left by previous reservations. ELECTRICITY & POWER OUTAGES: As I mentioned, the building is old (over 125 years old). Please DO NOT OVERLOAD THE OUTLETS. If there are too many things plugged in at one time, you will cause the circuit breaker to trip and that will result in a loss of electricity. However, DO NOT PANIC! Let me know immediately and I will get the circuit breaker switch turned back on. Do not spend any time looking for it in the apartment as it is not in the apartment, but somewhere else in the building that neither I nor you can access. I can typically have electricity restored for you in minutes. Again, not everything can be plugged in at the same time. HEATING & FURNACE NOISES: As I mentioned, the building is over 125 years old and is pretty much original, specifically with regard to the pipes. The owners (not me) of the building have done nothing to update the pipes or the furnace (except fix random things). As a result, you may hear banging coming from below—that is the furnace turning on. The building controls the heating pipes (I cannot turn them off or on). However, I do provide a heating tower that you can use if you feel like the apartment is not warm enough. However, if you feel like the apartment is too warm, there is nothing I can do about that as I cannot turn off the heating pipes. I have left the A/C unit in the window so you can turn it on to counter the heat. TELEVISION: Due to the fact that previous reservations have managed to break four televisions, Host no longer equips the apartment with a television. COFFEE/TEA MAKER: I do not provide a coffee/tea maker, but there is a pot for heating water and pouring into instant coffee or for tea packets. I do not believe the plastic cups for instant coffee are good for the environment and would rather not contribute to the plastic issue. Moreover, 90% of guests don’t use the coffee. There is a bodega two buildings over and they sell big cups of coffee for around $2.00. SMOKING: Guests may only smoke outside of the building. If smoking, PLEASE DO NOT stand in front of the gate, stand off to the side. EARLY CHECK-IN (not earlier than 11:30am*) and LATE CHECKOUT (not later than 2:30pm*) is accommodated on a first requested, first accommodated basis. Earlier check-in and later checkout are available, but this depends on the previous/next reservations check-in/checkout time and if they asked before you—JUST ASK.
The apartment is located in the HELL’S KITCHEN neighborhood and is (basically) on the corner of 9th Avenue and 47th Street. If you walk TWO BLOCKS east, you will be in TIMES SQUARE and the THEATRE DISTRICT. The neighborhoods are safe, well-lit, and usually full of people. With regard to its location in Hell’s Kitchen: The apartment is in the heart of Hell’s Kitchen, surrounded by countless restaurants, bars, lounges, nightclubs, boutiques, and other fun things to do. With regard to its location as it pertains to Times Square: The apartment is one block west of the Theatre District and two blocks west of the heart of Times Square. On 47th Street (the street the apartment is on), there a several theatres that house popular shows.
  • Astor’s hospitality and great communication are as good as the location and accuracy of the description of the place. Recommended.

    George2020-02-14T00:00:00Z
  • Everything is great about this place. Its spacious, bigger than expected. The location is amazing! Close to everything i need during my stay. Astor is very responsive. He let us checked in earlier although it was a last minute request. Highly recommended.

    Muzammin2020-02-13T00:00:00Z
  • You simply cant beat the location for the price! So close to everything... shops, food, transportation. It was small, but sufficient for what we needed it for. Astor was also very responsive any time I had a question and was super accommodating for our luggage storage. Two things I will note, as I think it may be important for future guests.... This is literally on a fairly busy city street, with a pretty loud entry gate. With that said, as other tenants come and go, the gate and door is pretty loud, especially if you arent used to city sounds. If you're a light sleeper, I'd bring ear plugs or use white noise to help block it out. Also, the space where the toilet is, is small. Like super small. Its doable but if you like more space while doing your business, it may not be for you. All in all, a great place to stay with an unbeatable location.

    Jessica2020-02-05T00:00:00Z
  • Stayed on a weekend with my wife and 3 kids (tweens). Place was clean and as described. Outside noise was not too bad, and mostly quieted down by 11:00pm. My family had no problems falling asleep after a busy day though we did have a white noise(rain) app playing on a phone.

    Mark2020-02-02T00:00:00Z
  • Fantastic location!! Great and responsive communication with Astor!

    Kimithy2020-01-31T00:00:00Z
  • Couldn't be more perfect for a couple looking to set up shop right in the heart of NYC action, but without being literally right on top of Times Square. Super cool neighborhood with something on every corner, and within walking distance to so so so much. Astor was incredibly accommodating, instantaneous with responses, and all around a pleasure to interact with. It's fine find, is what I'm trying to say.

  • It’s 4 flights of stairs up if you include the bathroom, so be prepared. The lockbox is tricky in the dark and there were two but I eventually got it. Once in the apartment I was pleasantly surprised with numerous little touches not in other inexpensive places, bathroom items, soft lovely towel, three kinds of sheet/blanket/coverlet, separate room temp control, lots of kitchen amenities. A great place for the money!

Apartment share on a quiet street in a lively neighborhood, this 2nd-fl walk-up is just blocks from NYU, Washington Sq Pk, SoHo, and Lower East Side. Grab Michelin-rated sushi or $3 PBRs within 50 feet (15 m) of the front door. East Village diversity at its finest.
Your large bedroom has a queen size mattress with a memory foam topper that is very comfortable. There's also a full-size air mattress for one extra guest. The room gets a lot of light from the large windows. The curtains and blinds keep it nice and dark at night. You will have access to the shared living room, kitchen, and bathroom. There is wi-fi, an Apple TV, cable TV and everything you need to feel right at home. The bedroom faces a rear courtyard, so street noise is minimal to non-existent. You may hear an occasional garden party. If they get too loud, let me know and I'll take care of it.
The East Village is socially and culturally diverse without being pretentious. New York's immigrant origins, 70s punk scene, and current food renaissance all energetically coexist in the East Village like nowhere else in Manhattan. You can seriously get Michelin-rated sushi or three-dollar PBRs within 50 feet (15 m) of the front door. Its residents, an unlikely mix of businesspeople, artists, laborers, designers, and nomads anachronistically make themselves at home among Old New York's Gilded Age and Pre-war brick-and-stone architectural hand-me-downs. Midtown's steel-and-glass landscape and the West Village's yuppie homogeneity haven't invaded the East Village...yet.
  • Sne's apartment is clean, sunny and super convenient to getting around the city. More quiet than we expected, despite having with a bar and a coffee shop steps away from the front door. We enjoyed our stay and would recommend this place to anyone wanting to be close to the East Village and NYU, with easy access to the rest of Manhattan and even Brooklyn.

    Shelby2020-02-23T00:00:00Z
  • Reliable, low cost for New York. The host is very accommodating and has a wicked sense of humor! He has a little booklet filled with tips about the area and NY in general!

    Maria2020-02-21T00:00:00Z
  • Sne’s place is absolutely amazing and Sne himself is awesome! The best Airbnb host we’ve ever had. Sne put together an awesome guide to the neighborhood with food recommendations and we had so much fun going on a food crawl around the East Village. He let us check in early, was super helpful and communicative, and was sooo friendly. The only “down” side to this is now we never want to stay anywhere else in New York! I would say this is a good problem to have. We will be back for sure!

    Rebecca2020-02-19T00:00:00Z

  • Sne was an amazing host with such a lovely home! He was very hospitable and friendly! His apartment is a very cool place to stay with lots of amenities and tips in his guide for places to see! Definitely plan to book his apartment the next time i visit New York!

    Kayla2020-02-16T00:00:00Z
  • I would highly recommend staying at Sne’s place! The private room was really big and the whole apartment was so stylish and homey! He made me a cup of DELICIOUS coffee as soon as we got in and got both of us water. The brochure he gave us was wonderfully designed, SO informative about our stay and the neighborhood, witty, and fun to read. I’ll definitely be holding onto it for other trips to the east village. I’ve never met a host who cares as much about ensuring their guests have a great time in the city as he does. Amazing location and great value! Stay here if you want to stay in the East Village and are okay with a shared living space!

    Courtney2020-02-15T00:00:00Z
  • I recommend this place to anyone who wants to visit Manhattan. Thanks to Sne’s hospitality and good taste you can experience the East Village in a clean and pleasant apartment. The area is also very interesting with good food and lots of activities.

Surrounded by many great Italian, Greek, Turkish, Japanese, Mexican, Thai restaurants and American dinners. Bars and pubs, 24-hour stores, pharmacies and open-late restaurants. There are even some discotheques nearby.

  • Marco was a great host and was very quick to respond to any concerns or questions. The apt was clean and the fine details were appreciated from the bottled waters when arriving, the various coffees , the toiletries and arriving to a warmed up apt with a cute little Xmas tree let up. It made for a cozy stay. Thanks Marco!

  • Three of us stayed at Evan and Maria for a week, aiming for sightseeing of NYC. Apartment is in very safe and quiet location, comfortable and very clean. Everything is according to the description and photos. 24/7 grocery store just behind the corner. Two metro stations are in distance of 8 minutes walk. Thanks to very good location, use of subway is not necessary, bit longer walk and you reach Empire State, Chrysler, Times Square, 5th Ave, Grand Central etc. We have encountered a problem with bed linen at the beginning, but it was solved immediately. Owners were very helpful through all of our stay, responding instantly, solving our problems with great care. A lot of amenities are available in the apartment, useful things in kitchen and bathroom. Be aware that there is no view from the windows, just wall, shady, but it gives very quiet nights and comfortable sleep, perfect after whole day of visiting busy city. I recommend Evan and Maria as hosts.

  • This apartment provided a fantastic stay in NYC. Evan & Maria were very accomodating in allowing me to store luggage beyond checkout due to my late flight. In an incredible location, the apartment is well situated and only a short walk to Midtown and a variety of subway stations. The apartment was both incredibly clean and well equiped. I would have no hesitation in staying here again when next in NYC or recommending it to others.

  • What a beautiful place to "call your own" while having a NYC get-away! The location was perfect -- an easy walk to subway/transit, grocery , take-out food (Ess-a-Bagel, anyone??) sit-down restaurants, etc. - a great neighborhood! The apartment is just BEYOND lovely. Such a nice spot to come "home" to after running around Manhattan all day. THANK YOU!

  • Wonderful place in midtown! Evan and Maria were quick communicators on every question prior to check-in and check-out. The location is amazing and the charming corner shop only steps away appeared to be open 24/7 and that was certainly a perk! Thank you Evan and Maria for making your amazing place available NYC!
