“Great spot along Rt. 9 with STUNNING views of the valley. Sit on the deck and enjoy local beer. It has live music from time to time. You can play bag toss in the adjacent lot as well. ”

Food
“Great views and some pretty good beers. Nice stop over on your way to Harriman Reservoir, Molly Stark State Park, Brattleboro or just across the street to Hogback gift shop. They have a food truck with bangers and sourkrout that's good, (nor sure if other trucks stop by) but limited food selection (especially for healthy food or vegetarians). Definitely stop for a beer and view if that's your jam though. ”

“A delight for chamber-music lovers, this festival is held on summer weekends at Marlboro College, 12 miles west of Brattleboro. Founded in 1951, it regularly draws big names in classical music, with performances held in an intimate 700-seat auditorium. Reserve ahead; many concerts sell out almost immediately.”

“Great for paddle boarding - you need to use public boat dock entrance and can swim in that part of the lake, as well. Not huge beach/lawn area....more of a launch site. You can also hike around the lake.”

Lake
“SUNSET LAKE at the top of Sunset Lake Road is a thirteen minutes drive from the cabin to a nice piece of lawn by a beautiful lake, surrounded by woods. There are just a couple of smaller cabins on the lake, which is not for swimming. It's a quite and pristine place to picnic and watch the sunset. ”

“The "Molly Stark Scenic Byway" is 48 miles of Vermont Route 9 running from Brattleboro to Bennington. There are tons of beautiful stopping places along the way, but the Hogback Mountain overlook is just one to point out. For those that want to enjoy nature, but aren't able to get out on foot - this scenic drive is a great option.”
