We had a wonderful stay here, and I concur with all of the other reviews––the space is magical, Denise is a very kind and accommodating host, and everything was smooth and easy. It was cold out, but the stove kept things toasty inside and we really enjoyed being tucked away in the silo. This is a special place.

Denise and Dennis go above and beyond for their visitors, and the Silo Studio itself is like something out of a fairytale. It's in a fantastic location - surrounded by peaceful woods and a babbling brook, but still close enough to town so that you can have fun shopping and dining at the many places you'll be recommended.

This place is one of a kind! You are truly transformed into a fairytale. If you want a unique, charming and unforgettable experience, stay here! We will be back.

Staying at this beautiful house has been amazing! You don't feel as much as a tourist but rather as a visiting. The city center is about a 10 minutes ride with the T. I can highly recommend staying here!

Our staying was better than we expected, the house is beautiful, very clean and tidy! Barney and Mary provided us with muffins every morning, as well as coffee/tea, granola and orange juice. The location of the house is very practical, i cannot recommend it enough since it’s outside the craziness of the city and right next to the beach but it’s near the T station which takes you downtown in less than 10 minutes.

Carney Family is great! Cozy and clean! They provide you so much information that you don’t need to worry about how to get there. The location is very convenient-the red line can bring you to the major spots in the city, roughly about 20-30 minutes. The host will respond really quickly ♥️. What you need to do is “relax”. ///Will definitely come back for my next stay if I did.

Mary and Barney's house is full of life and has all the comforts. Many services included in the price of the night: self-service breakfast with delicious Barney muffins, the possibility of leaving your luggage in the house for a few hours or a day and even ironing in the evening a shower !

A magical place. We went there for a weekend this October but unfortunately our stay was cut short due to a family emergency. Gayle was very understanding and has been working with us to reschedule the night we missed. I wish we could have stayed longer!

Spent a long weekend at the Pondhouse, and it didn't disappoint us at all! We followed Gayle's directions, and it was really easy to find the place. Gayle's family is super friendly. It was simply soothing to sit back and relax here. Even though the temperature dropped to 30s at night, it was still cozy and warm snuggling with my friend under multiple layers of blankets Gayle provides. We would definitely love to come back and visit!

Gayle was a sweetheart. It rained, and we weren’t as prepared as we thought for cold weather. So she gave us beanies, scarves, even boots to keep us warm and comfortable! And we had such a pleasure from the most friendliest and sweetest dog ever: Charlie. We love him!! 😃❤️

Quiet, romantic, back to nature, ... Our stay was exactly what we had hoped for!

I'm a regular in the tiny house / glamping scene and Gayle's place was right up there in top-of-the-list territory. Her Pondhouse is nestled in the unpretentious greenery at the bottom of her magnificent property at the end of a quiet country road. The pictures give you a good sense of the space but what you don't get is a sense of the magic that you feel inside the space with the sun streaming through the tall grasses and the quiet of the leaves falling on the metal roof. The pictures also don't tell you how wonderful the bed is and how soft the bedside rugs are. So many delightful touches. My teenage daughter and I stayed there for two nights. We had planned to go on some hikes in the area but in the end decided we couldn't tear ourselves away from the Pondhouse. We'll be back!

What an incredible weekend spent in Gayle's pond house. Every minute was a dream. the decor was beautiful and the nature even more so. We cooked out by the campfire, napped and read for hours in the cozy pondhouse bed, we explored the neighboring towns and hiked and ate well. All around a magical and romantic weekend with my new husband on my birthday!

Tom & Jim's place is a DEAL. Tons of room, eveything you could want. Tip for future renters: Definitely bring a duraflame log for the fire, the fireplace is gated off and perfect for kids to enjoy. My 2 kids under 5 loved it. Stay started on the right foot, Jim reached out to let us know the house would be ready early. Then he met us for check in and walked us through the property so we could settle in quickly. The fireplace and ample games on hand were an awesome touch that our family really appreciated for a winter stay. Good local recommendations in the binder (Kream 'N Kone fried seafood is among best I've ever had). All around awesome stay.

Highly, highly recommend this place. Couldn't ask for nicer hosts or a better deal. No hidden added fees or surprises. Much bigger than we expected. Three bedrooms, fireplace and indoor hot tub. Cozy and clean and communication was great. Definitely looking forward to going back.

It was a very nice experience living in Boris&Susan's house. It is convenient to airport and any other places in down boston. I will definitely pick here next time. It is the only pity that we didn't get a chance to chat with the owners. Anyways, overall experience is wonderful.

Had a wonderful stay at Boris & Susan's place. It was very clean and everything was as advertised. Check in and check out was extremely easy with their door code. Their restaurant recommendations were also great! The space heater in the room was a nice bonus as it is quite cold in Boston in the winter.

First off, there is parking! Always a major plus in my book. Location was ideal and convenient. The space itself was very clean and comfortable. The shower and heated floors were our favorite perks. There was unfortunately some very early morning construction going on in the building but the owners were very responsive to our concerns and handled the matter fairly. I would definitely recommend.

It’s a solid space

The room is comfortable and clean. The neighborhood is safe, the station is a little far but it is quiet to aminar even late at night. In the mornings they always leave you some pancakes for breakfast. I feel very satisfied.

Highly recommend this place! Great ambience, super clean, beds are comfortable, safe neighborhood, quick walk to T stop, a kitchen just for guests on the first floor, a nice breakfast nook on the 3rd floor, off street parking, great value...Mary and Barney live on the 2nd floor so if you have a problem (we didn't have any) they're right there. They are experienced, wonderful hosts and the whole setup works really well. Since we like to go for morning runs, we especially appreciated the suggestion to run across the street on the UMASS campus! We look forward to staying again.

Judiths space was perfect for my boyfriend and I! It was clean, comfortable, and in a lovely area. There wasn't a shower available at the time we stayed because its winter and the shower is outdoors but we only stayed one night and Judith was very courteous over text, clarifying and making sure we were comfortable with that beforehand. Would stay there again!

Judith is a superior host. She was flexible and accommodating while being communicative. Her place is perfection and her little touches make this little room a dream. It feels private and serene, yet very convenient. I loved the meditation walk and the walk along the marshes. Her sculptures are beautiful and it was well worth meandering even in cold January weather. The room isn’t too much more than a bed, but the way it is designed and thoughtfully arranged made for a meditative retreat. I loved the art in the room and the kitchen was all I needed for the overnight. I will most definitely return many times.

Such a great space! We visited for a long weekend for school and found Lynel’s space relaxing and comfortable. Her home is in a great walkable neighborhood with lots of amenities. I would highly recommend anyone who visits Boston stay at Lynel’s.

The old brownstone is beautiful and unique! The home is close the T, so transportation to downtown is easy. Also, it’s very close to all the neat restaurants in Jamaica Plains. I would recommend this place to others!

Lynel’s place was great! It was clean and comfortable. Maybe the unit could use a facelift in a few places, but it was completely fine for lodging use. The kitchen was well stocked and tidy. The place was cleaned to professional standards. The bed was quite comfortable. This condo has an abundance of Boston character and the intrigue was enhanced by it being split between two levels (three counting the entry foyer). Lynel had thoughtful notes placed in various spots that gave me a great sense of her warm hospitality. But I already knew she is an animal lover and that had already pretty much cemented my positive vibe. There was some parking concern due to road construction, but I was thrilled to get notice on my day of arrival that the construction had been completed. This was not something that Lynel could control, and with any luck, it won’t happen again in a dozen years! I may have been an urbanite in a previous life because I actually enjoyed the sound of the train periodically passing through. It never bothered me in the least. But in full disclosure for those less than thrilled about it, it does go on past midnight and it starts in again at maybe 4:30 AM or so. I actually kind of missed it when it stopped! To sum up, I was delighted to find this cool place to stay in Jamaica Plain, which is by far the coolest section of Boston. And while there may be a pocket or two of JP that I tend to stay out of, Lynel’s place is in a neighborhood that feels as safe as it is charming.

Beautiful home and perfect for what I needed. The train can be a little loud, but if you never lived in the city you don’t notice it, and it’s nice to be so near the station. There is parking, which is great and Lynel was very responsive!

The room was perfectly clean and cozy. The bathroom and kitchen were also really nice and was fully stocked with anything you could need. This place is very friendly for hosts! Attentive care was basic and it was good to communicate too well. Cape Cod room is much bigger than the pictures imply, and the bathroom is smallish, but first rate. The entire house is comfortable, the hosts are lovely, and even the parking is pretty good, which is no easy thing in Dorchester. Really enjoyed our stay, would definitely recommend.

This cottage on the bay has everything! Charm, spacious and steps to the water. Katherine is a wonderful host. Quick to communicate and made planning this vacation so easy.

Very cosy seaside cottage, just off East Sandwich beach, perfect for a retreat by the sea. Exactly like on the pictures! The cottage is well equipped inside (cooking facilities, fireplace) and outside (deckchairs, picnic table, BBQ). 10 minutes drive from Sandwich town for a good choice of shops and restaurants. Very good location for exploring Cape Cod from. Communication with Katherine has been smooth and easy. We would definitely visit again!

I loved my stay in this beautiful beach house! The photos are true to reality. It is really well decorated, it feels good, especially with the fireplace in autumn! It is very clean, several small touches, beautiful big comforters comforting, the shower is really clean, important for me! The only thing that could possibly annoy some is the mattress that has broken springs on one side, so it sinks a bit on one side! I was alone so I slept on the other side! But me who has a very capricious back, I slept well. It was not as comfortable as my bed but I have seen much worse! I prefer that to a bed too hard. The pillows are also comfortable and soft. The couch is a bit worn too, very soft, but again, I prefer it to a couch nine too hard. I really enjoyed my sofa nights listening to movies (access to free movie rentals too). The house is in a small development of 7-8 houses facing each other. This one is in the middle, so neighbors on each side and in front. (Non-smoker even outside ... so I do not smoke a problem, but a smoker friend almost joined me and I would not have thought to check it! It seems to be an agreement between neighbors since the cottages are very close to each other). I was almost always alone or there were 1-2 people around at this time. It was very quiet. We get off the car feet in the sand and we hear the sea! You can see the sea from the windows of the kitchen but it is not a full view of the sea, as the development is behind a dune, which cuts the wind. At the end of the day, it was too cool on the beach, but I was very good on the patio. I was in mid-October, and I had a few days warm enough to be in a t-shirt on the beach. I walked 3 hours back to one side and I was not until the end! On the other side, the sea comes to form a kind of river, and the fishermen will fish with their waterproof suits immersed in the water at the mouth ... I made excellent photos! I had brought my bike but there was no suitable road for cycling around. I rather drove to bike paths. There is a nice satchel on the coffee table with recommendations of restaurants and activities, pamphlets, etc. On cooler days, many shops were closed in the villages around this time. I struggled to light the fireplace one night, and Katherine responded very quickly and was going to send someone to fix it a few hours later, but I finally managed to light her up following her advice ( you have to slide the thermostat vigorously from left to right several times when it's not going, and there's always a little blue flame even when it's off, so I thought it was lit very low but no, if it's not There are no big flames, it is not lit). In short it's just me who did not have the twist! Everything worked well. And the fireplace is really effective as heating! It was really hot quickly when I turned it on, in mid-October at 5-10 ° C at night outside. Also, it ran out of electricity for a day because of a windstorm, and I really enjoyed heating with the gas fireplace (which created a light at the same time) and being able to use the stove at the same time. gas even if it lacks electricity. In short, I hope to have the chance to return to this beautiful beach house, I felt at home. I adopted it!

Katherine has a great cottage right by the ocean. Don’t be surprised by the amount of cottages in one small area. It is small, but very comfy and people are friendly in the area. The location is great - easy to get to Provincetown, Hyannis, Martha’s Vineyard and Boston - all a quick jaunt away. Katherine is very communicative and answered all of our questions very promptly. We would return in a heartbeat! Thank you Katherine.

Went for a weekend getaway with my boyfriend for Valentine’s Day. This place was perfect for that. It was plenty of space for the two of us and had everything we needed to spend the weekend in the house. It was so clean when we got there and the sheets are so comfortable. Also it is in a very nice location next to plenty of stores and activities. I can’t wait to book our next getaway.

Tiniest sink in the world but a very cozy stay

Great place to stay when in the area. There are steep stairs to get up to the room which may be difficult for some. Also, the bathroom is very small, brushing you teeth is not possible above the sink. However,the space is very clean and nice. I would recommend to others.

This is a great space in Cambridge with easy cross-the-bridge to Brookline and down Storrow Drive to hospitals, downtown. The apartment is spotless. Nice linens. A long desk for doing computer work. Microwave, refrigerator, and coffee are provided. Be aware that the stairs are steep and narrow and there isn't a TV - but who needs one with all the things to do in Boston! EASY EASY parking which is a huge advantage in this area. Great check-in instructions.

Fantastic stay and great hosts. John and Arturo we’re responsive to our questions and had many additional touches such as a fridge stocked with nice drinks and some wonderful snacks. The location was quiet with exception of an occasional plane but the white noise machine was all we needed to block out the sound. The bed was extremely comfortable and added to the overall homey feel of the room. Uber was a great and economical option for traveling into the city from this location.

A really wonderful place to spend a holiday, even in winter. The cabin is beautiful and the layout ideal for families as there are two sitting rooms and a garden for playing. The kitchen is a joy to work in as it’s Open Plan and a lot of stuff has been provided by the owner including a wonderful home-made cake that filled the cabin with lovely aromas on arrival. Great location for exploring all the pilgrim stuff and more. Right next to the Cranbury bogs so great walks. All in all a great stay and Garrett was very welcoming.

Incredibly clean with great amenities! Comfortable room especially for the price.

Our stay at CarneyFamily’s place was like staying at a B&B. They gave travel tips, provided amenities and snacks/coffee in the morning, and made great conversation. We loved the time we spent there, they made us feel at home.

The Carney home is a gorgeous and convenient place to stay - I highly recommend it over any hotel! Amenities and a quick response to any questions make Barney and Mary the best!

I've stayed at 3 other AirBnBs in Boston before and this was by far the best. The place is really like a B&B with homely space, awesome muffins, great local tips and prompt responses. It may be further from downtown Boston but since it's very close to the Red Line MBTA, transport to/from the city is very easy. Communication with the CarneyFamily was prompt and detailed. Highly recommended!

The house is great, and a short distance from the train. It was super easy to commute around Boston from here. The room is spacious and clean. Overall, a great experience

This was a lovely stay in a beautifully maintained older home - complete with historic photo of it's unchanging beauty! Inside, beds provided comfort and warmth. Environment was peaceful and the view of sunrise was even a joy! Would return, especially for business or short stays.

The house architecture is New England/ Victorian revival and presents many stylish touches of comfort and sophistication. I truly enjoyed it and I wish to have stayed longer.

Such a lovely stay! One of my best Airbnb experiences. Check in was simple and communication with host was great. We received very thorough instructions. The bed was super comfy and the room is spacious. Quiet home, clean and well kept. Parking was a big plus too, and the location is great! Definitely would stay again.

Bill and Corey really deserve the five stars. The room is lovely, with big windows and natural light, and the house is a design dream. Breakfast is good, cereal, toast, yoghurts, fruit, coffee etc. Sparkling clean and with as many fresh towels as you need. Great conversation too. Would definitely stay again!

Accommodation deserving not so much 5, but 6 stars! Nice atmosphere, immediately after entering we were buried in a ton of positive energy! It was my second visit in the Carney Family’s house and also this time it was a very pleasant stay. The Carneys are very friendly and great hosts. The room was lovely decorated and super clean (this also applies to the shared bathroom), so we felt very comfortable there. Our room was on the top floor, but we were free to use the shared kitchen on the ground floor for breakfast (tasty muffins, granola and as well as fresh fruit and juice), which we enjoyed very much. The house is located in a very nice neighborhood and close to public transportation, which is perfect to explore Boston. When coming back to Boston, we would definitely like to come back again to the Carney Family’s house.

I love the hospitality and the location of the house. The hosts are very warm and comfortable to talk with. The house and rooms made me feel like home. The bathrooms are always clean and tidy. The water pressure and temperature are always strong and hot. Love to have the fresh k-cup coffee and muffin every single morning. I highly recommend this place to travelers who are visiting Boston! Extremely clean, bright apartment with lots of space, a great shower, comfy bed, and all the kitchen supplies you need! Excellent location for accessing the MIT and Central T-station on foot, and for easy bus access across the river. Helpful suggestions for places to eat nearby, and Trader Joe’s right around the corner. Fast and clear responses to all questions. Easy check-in/check-out. Thumbs up all-round, and highly recommended.

This little listing is a hidden gem, tucked away by a lake but close to amenities. I was traveling for work and was disappointed not to have time to explore the walking trails in the area, but delighted by the peacefulness and convenience of Dean's cottage. This is my second time staying at Dean's cottage and my stay was just as great as the first time. Very clean and comfortable cozy cottage. Dean's communication is fast and he's very accommodating. It's a great place for dogs too. There is a nice trail right around the corner. I look forward to staying again when I'm in town.

This AirBnB was exactly what we expected. Super cute and perfectly located. Would recommend going to the East Boston Farm Stand which is this adorable smoothie shop only a short distance from the apartment.

The perfect option for early/late flights in/out of Logan. Sparkling clean, lots of thoughtful touches and a 5 min car ride to Logan (without traffic). I would absolutely recommend staying here and will again.

This home was my first experience in using Airbnb! I really enjoy staying here because of its overall homey feeling. The room and house are spotless! They use laminated signs around the house that clearly answer any questions of what to use, what to do, etc. From the beginning they left clear directions for our stay and how to enter the house. The neighborhood is calm and quiet which is great. It’s a close Uber drive to everything we planned to see on our trip! They were very nice to let people keep bags checked in early and out late considering people’s commute times while arriving and leaving Boston. The bed is comfortable and they provide a heater in our room if we felt too cold. The bathrooms are cleaned everyday! They also provide coffees and tees and small snacks which is super nice! We loved everything about this Airbnb and we’d love to stay again in the future! Thank you Boris & Susan!

The Brookside Cottage is more cozy and charming in person and well worth a visit! Convenient location to explore North Adams and the surrounding area. All the amenities you need. Self-sufficient check in/check out. Katherine provided a well thought out range of local suggestions, which was much appreciated. We went to two of them--Chef's Hat and a hipster American food place that I can't remember the name of. Both were great!

Katherine's cabin was so charming -- just what we wanted for a weekend getaway! Very warm in the winter snow with such a beautiful view and nice trails behind, even in the winter. would stay here again!

This cottage is absolutely charming and magical. It's a very special location with big picture windows overlooking a babbling stream with a little wooden suspension bridge and beautiful river rocks. Inside is charming and cozy with everything we needed for an overnight. Absolutely love this place.

This place is stunning! Gorgeous view of the ocean! Relax by the fireplace or in the jacuzzi tub, either way you’ll be forgetting all of your anxieties. Highly recommend!

Natasha is an excellent host. She let us know she was there if we needed anything, but we didn’t because the place already had everything we needed. The space is sparkling clean and super cozy. We enjoyed the warm glow of the fireplace and the amazing water view. We were also just a short walk away from some great restaurants. We had such a wonderful and relaxing time!

We will definitely come back. The view is stunning. We felt like we were temporarily transported to a Caribbean island. It is truly a stunning little getaway. The owner is very thoughtful and the loft was spotless. The little touches made our weekend more romantic. Thanks.

Edgar's place was absolutely perfect. It is within walking distance of so many of Salem's historic sights. The apartment is cozy, yet roomy enough that you can find some space away from a traveling companion if you want. It was great that eggs, milk, cereal, and coffee were provided! It was very quiet and peaceful there, with a very pretty view of a park behind the property. We will definitely book Edgar's place if we are in the area again. Thanks Edgar!

This is our second stay here. We love this tiny home! It's stylish, comfortable and has everything one might need including heat, a washer/dryer, a full kitchen and an outside spot for the dog. There are different areas to eat, hang out and sleep with a sliding barn door to close off the bedroom for privacy. And Aruna's awesome--quick to respond to questions and great at communicating, she even offered us a late checkout time without us asking. We look forward to staying here again. Thanks Aruna!

The apartment had an old-fashioned but eclectic feel. We really appreciated the availability of coffee and eggs that we made in the morning, as well as the availability of a full-sized refrigerator. The way the rooms were set up allowed for privacy even though we shared a bathroom with the other renter. I loved the touch of the bird feeder off the kitchen window. It kept us in tune with nature while being in a big city.

I stayed at Nanette's for a two-day conference I was attending at Harvard University. She was extremely hospitable and the place is very cozy and quaint. Lovely stroll to/from Harvard Square!
