“'MOM' has character and then some - like being in a genuine Irish pub (I imagine). Great food, plenty of beer, live music and loads of fun. Don't miss the bean soup for 19 cents - it's really great!”

Mexican Restaurant

“This is an upscale, farm-to-table, environmentally-conscious restaurant on the east end of downtown Melbourne known for its refined array of "green" and environmentally-friendly, but delectable selection of feel good food. Excellent for a romantic dinner or a relaxed outdoor lunch. The prices are a bit higher than the average eatery, but many people justify the value in the atmosphere, attentive wait-staff and the quality entrees. Best vegetarian dinner locally, we recommend the ratatouille.”

“This is a small little bar that has been in downtown Melbourne for quite some time. It has some seating inside on the first floor and the second floor, but sitting out back in the lit garden area is the best, if the weather is cooperating. Sometimes they have live music. Since this has been a staple for decades in downtown, lots of local people frequent this bar.”

“Don't be fooled by the unassuming exterior of this re-purposed gas station. This is the only place in Southern Brevard to get high quality, great tasting Florida seafood. A local gem passed over by most tourists, this place has got the market cornered on buttery seafood goodness. Extremely filling seafood starting at $10 per meal is unheard of. For the best eat-like-a-local experience, order the chef's shrimp trio (spicy) which gives you a variety of different local shrimp. The rock shrimp is also an amazing Brevard delicacy!”

“It's a tavern but most definitely a restaurant. A great place to go before seeing a movie at the Premiere Oaks Theatre. Inspired by Ernest Hemingway, this tavern has a great menu from casual burgers, sandwiches, and appetizers to creative entrees (e.g., pork belly on flatbread, Calypso Lobster, Conch Fritters and Snapper Hemingway to name a few). Worth checking out for sure....”
