Museum
“This October marks the 100th anniversary of this unique work of art commemorating many local Irishmen who died in the Great War. It is in the Gaelic Revival Style and was influenced by the Book of Kells. Hand painted by Sr Concepta Lynch, a Dominican nun, it has been described as 'a three dimensional tour de force'. This was neglected for many years although my son was brought to see it as a boy, being educated by the Dominican Convent Primary school.”
