This is a newly redone room. More photos are coming soon. This is a private entry 1 queen bed room. It has a secure keyless code lock. Guests enter the front door and have access to their room via the cute front porch. The enclosed front porch is a common area that guests are welcome to use. It is a great place for morning coffee or pizza in the evening. This is located in a residential neighborhood, only 2.5 blocks from main downtown. Walking distance to shops, brewery, pubs, and more.
We provide a coffee maker and coffee grounds. A small refrigerator is located in the room as well. Parking is available in 3 places. A 2 car parking area directly in front of the house. Street parking across the street from the house. 4 car parking lot in back of the house off the alley, in which case, you come in the gate and through the back yard, exit the gate on the south side of the house and enter the front door. This is also a cooking school (Art of Cookery) so there may be times when other people are on premises.
This area, known as the White Lake Area, encompasses the two small cities of Whitehall and Montague. There are breweries, antique shops, art galleries, art classes, pubs, a Meadery, shops, restaurants and more. Ask to borrow our bicycles. There is beautiful scenery, such as the lighthouse on the pierhead on Lake Michigan. Rent kayaks or paddleboards from Water Dog and enjoy time on White Lake. Catch a free Tuesday summer concert at the Band Shell on White Lake.
  • The host Valerie was very friendly and the place was very clean. I booked my stay at the last minute because another air bnb listing strung me along by booking the listing I requested and not getting back to me. I put in a request for Valerie's listing and she responded within minutes and was very accommodating, even allowing us to check in a little after normal check in hours (with advance notice at booking). Would gladly stay there again while in the area.

    Frank2020-03-15T00:00:00Z
  • Valerie was easy to communicate with and made the check-in process smooth and easy. The room was cozy and clean, with stylish decor!

  • These folks know hospitality. They really go the extra mile with their place including plenty of extras. The place was super clean! Very easy to check in. Communication was easy. I would stay here again for sure. Thank you.

  • Great space and spot in downtown Whitehall.

    Cathy2019-10-13T00:00:00Z
  • Valerie and John were the most delightful hosts! We had a wonderful stay, the room was very cozy and clean. They accommodated a late night check-in, left the porch light on for us and even gave us a heads-up about their Halloween decor so we wouldn’t get scared! They’re very thoughtful and did everything to make sure our stay was comfortable. Gave us the best suggestions on places to see around there. The little chocolates on the pillows really did put a smile on our tired faces! If we are ever gonna be in the area, we will for sure be staying here again. Did I mention how delightful they are?

    Aakash2019-10-12T00:00:00Z
  • Valerie and John's little bungalow is the perfect setting for a peaceful get away. Its located in a quaint little town that has beautiful parks and trails to explore. It's also not too far from Muskegon, which is perfect for grabbing a great meal or watching a theater performance. The cleanliness and hospitality were great! We loved our stay and would definitely go back!

My place is close to the city center, restaurants and dining, parks, and great views. Within walking distance of bike trail, parks, laundromat, grocery, book store, bars, restaurants, mini golf, ice cream shop and gas stations. Also nearby is a marina and boat launch. It is a nice, basic place to lay your head at night. Nothing super fancy but comfortable and accommodating. My place is good for couples, solo adventurers, and business travelers.
This small studio space is a great place to lay your head at night while still in close proximity to all that downtown Montague has to offer.
  • Cute place, conveniently located above a really tasty pizza place, and two doors down from a fun little Meadery.

    Stephen2019-10-27T00:00:00Z
  • This was my second stay here. It is really handy when attending the Blue Lake Fine Arts Camp Adult Band. There are comfy chairs and plenty of room to spread out. This year I walked on the nearby bike path. Sarah was quick to respond to my questions. Checking in and out was very easy.

    Linda2019-08-17T00:00:00Z
  • Nice, simple, clean place to stay. Would recommend it if in area.

    Nathan2019-08-11T00:00:00Z
  • Sarah was very welcoming when it came to check-in. The location is very quaint with a good view of downtown and of the wildlife that likes to come into the yard in the mornings and evenings. I had no issues whatsoever during my stay, would stay again. You absolutely MUST try the Pizza place below the apartment, which is ran by Sarah as well. The pizza is delicious and the service is excellent. All in all a very good stay.

  • The place was clean and responded to me quickly when I had to show up late. Thanks for the stay

  • I would recommend anyone to stay with Sarah, she is very response and a great host!

    Erik2019-06-30T00:00:00Z
  • Sarah was very kind and responsive! Nice place

    Paul2019-06-23T00:00:00Z
  • Sarah’s Place was perfect! My boyfriend and I went for an overnight trip to Michigan’s Adventure- this place is about 12 minutes from M.A. and so easy to get to. It’s in a cute little town that has restaurants, a GREAT brewery, and anything else we needed. The apartment was the perfect size for us, and we had a wonderful air-conditioned nights sleep. Overall I would 100% stay here again! Location, size and value were excellent.

  • Great place to enjoy some quiet time away from a busy life. Great views of the lake just a short walk away. The space was very clean with updated amenities. I wish we could of stayed longer. Steve was a great host and so glad he made this space available.

    Abe2019-10-12T00:00:00Z
  • My wife and I had a great stay at Steve’s cottage. Perfect, intimate space for a relaxing weekend getaway. Just a few steps to a beautiful view of the lake from the dune and if you venture down there’s basically a private beach to take a dip. Enjoyed the disc golf setup on the property too. There’s a quintessential Midwestern supper lodge/tavern about a 5 min walk down the road for solid comfort food and drink. Surrounding towns Montague and Whitehall were cool to explore. Found a cool record store and farmers market in Montague, and there’s a great brewery in Whitehall. All 5-10 min drive from the cottage. Highly recommend!

    Mick2019-09-22T00:00:00Z
  • This place was lovely - very clean, nicely furnished. The bed was really comfortable with nice linens. It's in a fairly remote area (other than the cabins around it) and close to the beach. We had a great weekend here!

    Nina2019-09-08T00:00:00Z
  • Great little spot near Silver Lake.

    Stacie2019-08-18T00:00:00Z
  • What a great place! Clean, organized, and modern. Easy access to the dune and a huge fire pit. Couldn’t ask for anything more!

    Nicholas2019-08-14T00:00:00Z
  • Amazing quaint place to stay! Right next to the beach. Steve was great and very helpful! The view was awesome. We’ll be back for sure!

    Kayla2019-08-04T00:00:00Z
  • This is a cool spot. Clean & tidy, nestled just over the bluff from Lake Michigan. Old Channel Inn restaurant just a 1/4 walk from the cottage resort is A+, great for lunch, dinner, late night cocktail and a lot of local info. 5 min drive to Whitehall/Montague; 30 min to Muskegon & Pentwater; hour to Grand Rapids & Ludington - we love the Lake Michigan shoreline!

Beautiful 4 bedroom home with public access to White Lake (White Lake connects to Lake Michigan). Near the Hart/Montague bike trail (walking distance), close to Michigan's Adventure and to two public beaches on Lake Michigan. Plenty of sleeping space (4 beds, 4 couches), large backyard with a fire pit that backs up to Gee Park, a small public park. Quaint, quiet neighborhood; it's all here! Lovely fireplace, claw foot bathtub, 3 season room and a full kitchen. Our nest is the best!
Our place is warm and cozy. It was built in 1903. It has many quirks and loads of charm! It's a big 'ol house filled with love. It's relaxing and homey, pretty and comfortable.
Ride on the Hart/Montague bike trail, walk down to White Lake, walk or bike to town with ice cream shops, small town stores Wesco, Subway, and a few local restaurants. We also have a charming theater in town, The White Lake playhouse. Two parks accessible on the bike trail, including Goodrich Park (a hometown gem!) also a beautiful public library on the bike trail, public boat launch nearby. Whitehall, MI is lakeside living at it's best!
  • Melissa is a thoughtful host with a very cute home. We had everything we needed and then some. The home had plenty of room for our family. We enjoyed our stay back in our home town.

    Rick2020-02-23T00:00:00Z
  • The home is super cute, has tons of space, great location to the lakes. We loved the fenced in back yard for our dogs that came with us and we saw deer running in the side yard while having breakfast one morning! We had 6 adults and 1 little one and never felt cramped. The little sitting rooms everywhere made it nice to relax and the fire place was amazing when it was chilly! Would definitely return!

    Andrea2020-02-17T00:00:00Z
  • Very clean and cozy place to stay! Very close to all that Whitehall/Montague offers. Would stay again!

    John2020-01-26T00:00:00Z
  • A very warm and inviting home. A quiet and very low traffic area as well. One thing I would suggest is that if your going to use the Winter Complex in the area call ahead and make sure it's open. Also great communication with the owner.

    Kenneth2020-01-20T00:00:00Z
  • This is a wonderful property that will not disappoint. This cozy house is great for a retreat.

  • Mellissa is an outstanding host! We truly enjoyed our stay -- felt like a home away from home. The house was spotless, the location perfect for us. She was quick and responsive to our questions and requests, and extremely helpful in sharing fun ideas of places we might like to go during our adventure. Thanks so much, Mellissa!

Enjoy our country chic home! We live minutes away from Lake Michigan and downtown Muskegon where there are shops and bars! We are located in a quiet neighborhood about 3 miles from multiple public beaches and 3.5 miles from downtown Muskegon. We have a private bedroom for you, and a shared bathroom. We do have a dog who is very friendly and can keep to herself.
Very friendly neighborhood. Great place to go for a run or walk. A few select bars and restaurants within walking distance.
  • The house is clean and attractively decorated. For a place to sleep you really can’t beat this! Mariah is very responsive and friendly. We felt very welcome to make ourselves at home in our room. We didn’t get to meet Josh. We should warn that if you like dogs, Bristol will steal your heart! We highly recommend this as an option for anyone who just needs a place to spend the night and wants to save money on accommodations. We’d far rather stay here than at a motel at twice the price. Nice neighborhood, close to many amenities!

  • Stay Here! Jera was very very welcoming on a short notice booking. Went out of her way to make sure everything was perfect. It provided a much needed relaxing getaway. The units are very well done and amazing to see the transformation if you look up the history of the building. She definitely put a lot of work into turning the property into a quaint escape location. I can't speak highly enough. Will definitely be back.

  • I live on the road, hotels for work, and AirBnB for my time off. The Depot, is my absolute favorite AirBnB so far!! It's gorgeously decorated, conveniently located, and the most comfortable bed, I've ever slept in! I can't wait to wander back, just to stay there again!!

    Stephen2020-03-15T00:00:00Z

    Amy2020-02-15T00:00:00Z

  • What a great stay at a great price. Gary has done an amazing job of rescuing an old place and giving it new life and retaining its character. He was very attentive to our needs and yet we had privacy. Location is great and it was quiet. Place was clean and way better value and character than a hotel. More people should give this place a try and he is very clear about what to expect. We will be back.

The space is beautiful, cozy, and secure. Plenty of windows to offer natural light. A little bistro patio set to watch the sunsets and sunrises and enjoy morning coffee was a lovely outdoor addition. The perfect getaway.

  • This was our second stay at The Depot and it was even better than the last! Extremely clean, amazing amenities (toiletries and delicious treats), and overall just a lovely space. Our new favorite place to stay for our visits to Muskegon!

    Dana2020-02-23T00:00:00Z
  • Jera's place is awesome! You can tell she's got an eye for design and style. Very romantic and cute. There are so many fun bars within a mile of this place. Jera hooks you up with treats. She was very attentive, quick and friendly with all communication. Highly recommend!

    Joey2020-02-16T00:00:00Z
  • This place is beautiful! Jera has great touches like beautiful baskets, succulents and local coffee with pretty mugs. There is even a small fridge with some drinks in it and can be used with your leftovers. There are mugs and glasses for use. The rooms are easy to find and access. We walked to a Lumberjacks hockey game so downtown Muskegon is easily accessible. (Less than 10 minutes) Jera accommodated us with an alteration in our reservation and was incredibly friendly and helpful.

    Laurie2020-02-02T00:00:00Z
  • This place is a 10! So beautiful and well planned out. Great location. Attention to detail. STAY HERE! You will not be disappointed. Great communication from the host. We will be back and we're telling all our friends!

    Mark 2020-01-12T00:00:00Z
  • This place is absolutely beautiful! Pictures do not do it justice! Everything was so clean, and the bed was so comfy. Jera dropped off extra toiletries and treats during a stay. There are plenty of things to do within walking distance. And Muskegon recently installed new self-rental bikes at the train depot across the way from the Air bnb, not many people in town even knew they existed. It was a nice way to get out and see the town.

    Lisa2019-09-03T00:00:00Z
  • The Depot is such a unique space - the owners have done such a nice job with the renovation. The rooms are decorated perfectly with thoughtful amenities. We loved our stay!

    Dana2019-08-25T00:00:00Z
  • Jera is amazing to work with and her communication is excellent. The place is sparkling clean and is as described. The places is within walking distance to everything and directly across the street from the park so that makes it beautiful. We really enjoyed the additional amenity of having Great Lakes Fitness Center that Jera set up for us to workout at. We would highly recommend her and we hope to see her and her family next year when we are at Unity Fest.

This is a very quiet residential neighborhood, but very nice area for a walk around the block or a short walk to White Lake. Downtown Whitehall is about a 15 minute walk.
  • Close to everything, great place to stay very clean.

  • Wonderful place, we enjoy our stay every time.

    Joe2020-03-03T00:00:00Z
  • Elliott's place served as an excellent base for our exploration of the Whitehall, Montague and North Muskegon areas. The neighborhood was quiet and felt safe, and the house was comfortable and well-appointed. The kitchen was well-stocked for cooking and eating, the beds were comfortable (flannel sheets were a welcome touch in February), and the upstairs TV area was nice and cozy. The WiFi worked well. Having a second sink outside the bathroom was very convenient for getting ready for the day. The back yard looked inviting for nicer weather occasions. Elliott was very responsive to questions. We would definitely stay here again if we were visiting the area.

  • Everything about this place is just fantastic.

This home offers a private setting within a small sleepy town. Just minutes from the White Lake Pier, downtown Montague, White River and much more. The home is set up great for families and pets with a lakeside view. There are two bedrooms, a living room with a fold out single bed and a futon downstairs that pulls out into a full bed. Downstairs allows for a great entertainment space and upstairs has a relaxing environment. Fully fenced in yard allows for dogs and kiddos to run around freely.
The whole house and property is available to use besides the garage which will be locked.
This town and area is off the beaten path so you won't need to fight all the tourists. There is plenty to do in the area such as visiting the sandy beach on Lake Michigan, fishing off the pier, kayaking White River/Lake, and the famous Dogs and Suds (during the summer), also a short drive away from Silver Lake sand dunes and Michigan Adventures. Winter time you'll find people skiing and snowmobiling the bike trail, ice fishing on White Lake and antiquing (shopping) in Montague and Whitehall.
  • This was our first experience renting someone else’s home! Brittany made it so easy for us, her place was super clean and with a lot of stuff for us to cook with and entertain 5 teenagers! Highly recommended!!! If you are looking for a place that is clean, quite and in a very cute little town! Come to Brittany’s place! You will love it too!

Beautiful little getaway on Lake Michigan. This completely remodeled cabin is nestled behind the dunes. Step out the door and it's just a short walk to Lake Michigan. Swim, bike, golf, view the sunset or the stars, have a bonfire, and relax! Cabin has a beautiful, modern kitchen and nice living area. READ MY REVIEWS! Cottage has a Smart TV with high speed internet and WIFI, bring your log-in details for your Comcast, U-verse, Netflix, HULU, Amazon, or unplug and enjoy nature!
Why stay in a 250 sq. ft. motel when you can be in a 680 sq. ft. cottage with a full, complete kitchen, private bedroom with queen bed and full size closet, full size bathroom with washer & dryer? There is lots of room to roam, with a football field sized green space around the cottage in a quaint little condominium community. The site also has a big fire pit, frisbee golf, shuffleboard court, and tetherball! The large site is shared by other cottages that were part of the original resort. Lake Michigan is very high this year, making on site beach access a challenge for the less hardy. Dune to the numerous storms in September and October, the sand dune down to the water has become a cliff and is not recommended. Sunsets are beautiful each evening from the lake overlook, but we recommend for easy access for swimming, take a short walk down the road to Ferry street, next to Old Channel Inn, where you can easily walk out directly onto the beach and water. Its less than a quarter mile away.
  • We really enjoy the amenities, style, new clean. The nicest we never stayed. Neighboring building need work.

  • Absolutely amazing dunes cottage! I was seeking a beautiful, quiet getaway in the dunes, yet a short drive to town and this home was perfect. Impeccably clean and the renovation he did was incredible. Inspires me to purchase my own cottage like this someday. I can’t wait to come back!

    Sara2019-11-25T00:00:00Z
  • This little cabin is AMAZING! Nice decor to make it homey and SO CLEAN. Nice updates but still an outdoorsy feel with nice adventure spots and an awesome fire pit. HIGHLY recommend. Loved our stay!

  • We loved our stay at Carl's cottage! The cottage is a perfect little home away from home for a couple. Everything was clean and newly renovated inside. The view of Lake Michigan at the end of the path is spectacular. We stayed in the off season and it was a little strange being the only cottage occupied but it was still pretty relaxing. Grabbed dinner at the local restaurant 0.4 miles away, and grilled the other night.

    Samantha2019-10-21T00:00:00Z
  • The cabin is very peaceful, with plenty of modern touches that make you feel right at home. The view of the lake, via a short walk, is amazing. Carl is very responsive and helpful.

Our charming bungalow is located walking distance from downtown Muskegon and Muskegon Lake. Enjoy the quiet neighborhood setting while being close to all of the action that downtown has to offer. Breweries, restaurants, shopping, and the farmers market all await. If downtown isn’t your scene, the bungalow is a quick drive to Pere Marquette beach on the shores of Lake Michigan. Large, uncrowded stretches of sandy beach are the perfect place for a relaxing day in the sun.
There is plenty of free on street parking in front of the house. No street parking in the winter months.
The Nims Neighborhood is centrally located along the coastline of Muskegon Lake, right near downtown Muskegon (a 10 minute drive from the Bungalow). Many beautiful older homes are located in Nims, as well as the Lakeshore Yacht Harbor, Waterfront Centre, Hartshorn Municipal Marina, and the Lakeshore Bike Trail. A handful of public beaches are located within a 10 minute drive. Check out our guide book below for our favorite places to visit in Muskegon.

  • Had a lovely stay here

    Hanna2020-04-22T00:00:00Z
  • I could not make it to my reservation, but Marilyn was understanding and more than helpful. She was quick with the responses and went the extra mile. I even messaged at 2 or 3am and she still assisted me...without fuss or rudeness. I will recommend Marilyn as a host any day!

  • The perfect cozy/homey little cottage for a getaway!

    Kristen2020-04-11T00:00:00Z
  • Marilyn's place is wonderful. The house itself is super cozy, clean, and made for a perfect stay for my girlfriend and I. We spent two weeks there, and couldn't have been happier. Short drive to Lake Michigan's beaches and trails, which we were sure to take advantage of, and a nice cozy space to come back to in the evening. Marilyn was very hospitable, and even offered to stop by and wash our towels for us halfway through our stay. Would definitely recommend!

    David2020-04-04T00:00:00Z
  • Marilyn is so easy to get along with! She gave us some great tips on local sights to see and always responded quickly and helpfully if we needed anything. The house is adorable, full of history, and perfect for a quiet getaway.

It will sleep more than our base price for 2, extras just $20 per night. inquire for short stays. Let us know how many. The base limit of two allows us to offer the lowest possible price for couples to have a getaway, while allowing more to stay for an extra charge per person. Family reunions possible when combined with other units on site! Inquire. Lots of room to roam, with a football field sized green space around the home, and path around dune to Lake Michigan, or short walk down the road to a local beach. The site also has a big fire pit, shuffleboard court, disc golf game, and horseshoes! The 8 acre site is shared by other cottages that were part of the original fifties family resort, though there are usually only a few other guests on site. Check out aerial photos to see the full site. Ask about firewood. Deck off living room. Lake Michigan is high this year, making our beach access a challenge for the less hardy. The lake took away our steps, so climbing back up the dune from the water is great cardio! Sunsets are beautiful each evening from the lake overlook. We recommend an easy access public beach for swimming, that is a short walk down the road to Ferry street, - see photos- where you can walk out directly to the water's edge. We recently added a window air conditioner in the kitchen/dining area, and liked the way it takes the humidity out, so we added them in the bedrooms also. There is a gas fireplace for chilly nights. Cabins on the property are available for sale to individual owners from One hundred twenty four thousand. Search our social page: Lakeshore Dune Cottage Condominiums on Lake Michigan for photos and video tours. The beds: Up: main bedroom, two queen beds. Second bedroom, two doubles plus upper twin. Main floor, living room has twin daybed, double fold down couch, and double fold down futon. Foyer has twin fold down futon. Grandmas cottage! Rustic. Somewhat worn. Comfortable.
Our home is walking distance to the White lake Pier, and one mile south of the Old Channel Trail Golf Course. A very nice small restaurant is at the bottom of the hill south of us - The Old Channel Inn bar and restaurant. The home is close to the small city of Montague -about 4-5 miles- where there are lots of options - a bakery, restaurants, pizza, grocery, coffee shop, local stores, farmers market -check schedule, bike and canoe/kayak rentals. Check out the White Lake Area Chamber of Commerce website, for activities and shopping options. Whitelake.org Lots to do in town and in the area! Golf, restaurants, biking paths, beach, fishing, boat rentals.
  • My daughter and I had a great time unplugging and spending the weekend this house. We did puzzles, drank hot chocolate and enjoyed walking down Old Channel Inn to look at the waves (which were HUGE!). My daughter did not want to come home and asked me, "Can we come back sometime?" Weather was windy so we did not make any fires outside but turned on the gas fireplace and enjoyed the warmth. :)

  • My daughter and I had a lovely weekend at Steve's place. He was quick to respond and kind enough to accommodate us for an early check in. We also received a tour of his neighboring cottages. The weather was beautiful, the lake salt-free... what more could you ask for?! Thank you so much, Steve!

    Connie2019-06-09T00:00:00Z
  • Steve was a great host and made sure that we felt at home. He was very quick to respond to any questions we had and gave us a wonderful tour of the house and surrounding area upon arrival.

    Adam2019-04-14T00:00:00Z
  • Steve was so wonderful to be able to accommodate our group on such short notice. He was onsite at arrival to make sure we had everything we needed and also provided fresh baked pumpkin muffins. The house is not fancy with things you would expect from a lakehouse (no WiFi, low water pressure), but clean, definitely charming with plenty of games, fire pit with supplies for making a fire, restaurant walking distance away, and a killer view of Lake Michigan a short walk at the top of the dune. Highly recommend!

    Marcus2018-10-14T00:00:00Z
  • Steve and Ellen are great hosts and very accommodating for your group. Easy communications and thoughtful amenities made this bnb experience great! there is a short walk to a lookout over Lake Michigan that is breathtaking and a restaurant just a half mile away that is top notch called the Old Channel Inn. We look forward to getting back there soon!

    Derek2018-08-26T00:00:00Z
  • This was a truly great find! An old farmhouse, in a rather rural setting, with a 2 minute walk up to the top of a dune overlooking Lake Michigan. There were picnic tables at the top of the dune, which was great and provided for the most incredible sunsets! The house is an older farmhouse and is not fancy, but it was very clean and had lots of beds/couches. Steve left us all kinds of goodies -- fresh baked muffins, orange juice, milk, bananas, grapes, cereal, coffee. It was such a welcoming touch! The big fire pits, lots of chairs and picnic tables, large grill on the deck all made for a fantastic weekend! To get to the public beach, there is a short walk. The beach was lovely -- beautiful sand, very shallow and great sand bars or kids/dogs. We couldn't have asked for a better weekend! Steve stayed in close touch and was over the top helpful and accommodating. Strongly recommend!

  • This was our 2nd time being here and it won't be the last! Great, cute little place, with a gorgeous backyard and a relaxing sauna in the bathroom! Our favorite part of the experience is their golden doodle maizy, and her ADORABLE smile. She always visits us when we're there and greets us with her very contagious toothy smiles before bringing us her ball to play fetch. Jessica and Brandon are awesome hosts, very accommodating and easy to get ahold of, and super down to earth people. I encourage anyone considering booking this gem to go ahead and book it! :)

  • We just stayed one night passing through the area, but it was very pleasant! We arrived late, but it was no problem, as we had detailed instructions for getting in and finding the room. Missy left flowers and a welcoming congratulatory note, since we were on a mini honeymoon :) In the morning we enjoyed coffee in the beautiful, quiet house, and decided to go canoeing nearby thanks to a brochure left out. Thanks for a relaxing stay!

  • A lovely farm setting to spend a weekend at! The hospitality was outstanding and the place is very clean and comfortable. We especially appreciated the comfortable bed! Thank you for a great experience!

  • Wonderful place to unplug. Just like going to the family homestead. The host was warm and welcoming. This place was restored by the owner and her care extends to her guests. This was our first stay at an AirBnB and it couldn’t have been better. The “no shoes upstairs “ rule turned out to be a treat for the feet as the carpeting was so soft and cushy.

  • We had such a hard time choosing somewhere to stay. We were really worried about cleanliness. Missy does an amazing job! I felt so at home and clean! It was just absolutely beautiful, and serene and we will most definitely be back!

  • LOVE THIS PLACE!! This farmhouse was WAY BIGGER than I imagined... lots of space made available outside of the bedroom (which is also a good size). Very peaceful way out in the country, but close to a small town with several restaurants and couple good coffee shops. I highly recommend this location. And the host went the extra mile to make the experience even better.

  • This is a truly lovey home, in a gorgeous part of the world. It is conveniently located, and the hospitality was stellar. If I am back in the area I will definitely stay here again!

  • Whitbeck Ridge Farm is one of the most beautiful Airbnb places we have stayed at. The location was away from busy highways offering starfilled night skies and country quiet. The century old home has charm and character at every turn. The rooms had special touches in each right down to the perfectly folded towels and chocolates on the 4 posted beds. And if you're an animal lover, get ready for greetings from a dog, cats and 2 curious horses! Highly, highly recommended!

"The Bear" is ready to welcome you to our basement. It is set up as a separate living space with a separate, private entrance and is newly updated. It includes a washer/dryer and has its own private bathroom with a shower. Kitchen with all cooking utensils and silverware with grill available on the deck. Wi-fi, cable, desk with the workspace. This would be a great place for an extended work rental as well. Michigan's Adventure, Blue Lake Fine Arts Camp, Aquastar Cruises, Silversides close.
The basement has been completely updated and is basically home, under a home. Also, we don't charge an additional cleaning fee. We expect our guests to be respectful of our home and know that you don't want to be charged additional fees.
Our large, spacious home is close to the expressway, so additional travel is just a quick trip. This area is not set up for walking, but there is a bike path nearby that allows extensive biking to the downtown area. The neighborhood is safe and quiet, especially during the summer months. We are located near a high school which impacts traffic in the neighborhood during school days but the space is extremely quiet.
  • Wonderful Airbnb!! The Bear Den was my first ever Airbnb experience and there was NOT one disappointment! Exceptional host!

It was our second visit. We rented this home last year and couldn’t wait to return. This is a great choice, excellent location and wonderful hosts who really care about your comfort and experience.

  • This AirBnB is a must! Such an incredible place. Would be super fun to visit year-round, but was especially beautiful in the fall. Shawn was an accommodating and thoughtful host. We had a wonderful time!

    Janie2019-10-13T00:00:00Z
  • The treehouse experience is just that- a unique and special experience. The treehouse itself is beautiful and the setting is gorgeous. A wonderful place to relax and rejuvenate in very peaceful surroundings. The hosts are very warm, friendly, and thoughtful. We are very grateful for an amazing experience!

    Lauren2019-10-08T00:00:00Z
  • The treehouse is the perfect place for a quiet, romantic getaway. The space is absolutely beautiful inside and out. Shawn and Steve are wonderful hosts and thought of everything. The outdoor shower was great...even in the chilly October air! There were also surprising touches that we enjoyed. Don't hesitate to rent the treehouse. You will not be disappointed. We will definitely be back!

    Amy2019-10-06T00:00:00Z
  • Absolutely amazing!!!! When I booked the Serenity Now Treehouse, the reviews were all very positive, so my expectations were high. Even with that said....the experience was better than I could have ever hoped for! Steve and Shawn are AMAZING hosts! They made us feel very welcome from the moment we arrived and even after we left with kind follow up texts. Booking was easy, check in even easier. They were home when we arrived and Steve offered us a tour of the treehouse and property. Their property is beautiful and they offered for us to use the fire pit and areas out front of their home too. Steve went beyond my expectations making us feel like his home was our home.....we really felt welcome! The treehouse is beyond description! The pictures were very inviting, but the experience was unforgettable! Romantic doesn’t even begin to describe the setting. It was our first wedding anniversary and I could not have chosen a better location to surprise my wife with....she LOVED IT! We were so very relaxed...it was just perfect! The treehouse is immaculate! Not a spec of dirt or bug anywhere. Very cozy, very clean, very comfortable. Decorated wonderfully, very cabin-esque, it is the PERFECT setting to relax and unwind. The balcony overlooking the river is an incredible place to spend the evening, submersed in nature and each other. The outdoor shower: awesome! You have to use it! Very relaxing and fun. We used the row boat and spent the morning going up river. Very scenic and easy to navigate.... one of our favorite outings while there. Very close to town with several restaurants, shops, and a Walmart for stocking up on a few essentials for the fridge. I am a pilot and have traveled through six continents and 46 countries. It takes a lot to make me feel like I have found something unique and memorable. The Serenity Now Treehouse is such a place, and I cannot thank Steve and Shawn enough for opening it up to us. Don’t miss your chance to visit this unique and romantic location and unwind in the beautiful and natural setting. We will be back often!

    Christopher2019-09-22T00:00:00Z
  • I cannot say enough great things about this place. The pictures do not do it justice and the hosts, Steve and Shawn, were just icing on the cake. They were super personable and friendly and did so many small things to make sure we had an amazing stay. A great option if you're planning a trip to north west michigan, and worth it if it's a little out of the way.

    Amanda2019-09-15T00:00:00Z
  • Great!!

    Michael2019-09-02T00:00:00Z
  • When you're in this tree house you can't believe that it's not just a well-appointed small cabin. It just happens to be among the tree-tops. Have no worries this place is fantastic

    Donald2019-08-31T00:00:00Z
  • Shawn’s treehouse was beautiful, peaceful, and meticulously clean. There were so many thoughtful touches, like wine and popcorn to every cooking basic you could need and travel toiletries. It was quiet and tranquil but a close drive to town and restaurants. The outdoor shower was my favorite! Can’t wait to go back!

  • This was pur second stay at Gary's place, we stayed in room 9 last time but unfortunately it was already reserved this time around. It was nice to check out a different layout. The decor makes it feel at home. Definitely would recommend.

  • Super clean and friendly!

    Brianna2019-11-03T00:00:00Z
  • We had a great stay here. The bed is so comfortable and the room was clean. Another perk was the unlimited Netflix streaming. The only downside was that the walls are thin and the screen door would slam which would startle my sleeping baby. Even with that, I’d still recommend staying here!

    Danielle2019-10-13T00:00:00Z
  • Clean, quiet, great location to all the parks, lakes, shops and restaurants. Great value for those on vacation and would like to spend their $ elsewhere other than on lodging. Me and my girlfriend had a great trip and enjoyed our stay!

    Anasti2019-08-02T00:00:00Z
  • Everything from check-in to check-out went incredibly smooth. Gary is a great host who was always able to answer my questions. The location is perfect because it is mere minutes away from all the local restaurants and activities in downtown Whitehall. The actual room was very nice and clean, with a great mini-fridge, microwave, one-use cups and bowls, and a tv set up with Netflix and Youtube! The bathroom was also very nice with clean towels and a very nice shower. Overall, my stay was fantastic and I would definitely recommend to any future travelers, for a few nights or an extended stay!

The hosts were readily available to us when we had questions no matter the time of day. We were overly impressed. Parking is tight but was so minor. Comfortable beds and clean! Great!

I accidentally spilled tea all over the foot of the bedthrough almost all layers of bedding. I called to report it and almost immediately new linens were provided without fuss or blame. Appreciated the Netflics, but didnt have time to enjoy it.

  • Great stay, better than I expected! I am not a hotel snob in the least, and am happy with basic, decent accommodations. Even so, to be honest, I didn't have high expectations for $44/night. But, this was perfect. It is obvious this is an old building, but there was thought and care in sprucing up the room to make it look more modern. I love memory foam mattresses, so I got good sleep. It was also very, very clean. No hassle entry. Would definitely stay again!

  • This is not the Four Seasons and we were not expecting that. Interior was very clean and just what we needed for a couple of evening stay to get away from the hustle bustle of Electric Forest. Outside... it is an aging little complex... don't expect five star pretty exterior there... inside is very quaint and perfect for sleeping and bathroom/shower accommodations. Good communication and key pad entry made everything very easy. Thank you Gary!

  • Lea's place is quiet, clean, safe, and comfortable. She is an amazing host with tremendous hospitality. Check in was super easy, and she gave me local tips on good hiking spots. I was in town for work and have an off-shift, and she was so accommodating toward my needs. The king bed was super comfortable for me, and I didn't hear a sound from the rest of the house (there's a great fan in the room). The room I stayed in had very cute touches, soft lighting, and enough space for me to unpack some of my personal things.

Welcome to our cozy cottage. This location is a great spot for people looking to spend a few days at the beach, explore Muskegon or traveling for any reason. Located in the Lakeside neighborhood of Muskegon, you are only 1.5 miles from Pere Marquette beach. There is a large fenced in back yard with fire pit for beautiful Michigan summer nights.
There are 3 bedrooms ( 2 queen beds and 1 twin). There is a dining room, living room, full kitchen, 1 full bath and back deck/fenced in yard with fire pit.
The neighborhood is safe for walking and biking. There are two ice cream shops and a couple pubs within walking distance. We would recommend biking to the beach.

  • This place is very charming and super clean! Jera communicates quickly and checked in with us throughout the stay which we have not had happen before. Great host and her attention to detail is reflected in the entire place inside and out. The beds were very comfortable, lighting was awesome and the atmosphere inside the room is cozy.

  • Very enjoyable stay! The way it was repurposed was very cool! I can tell this would be a much more enjoyable stay in the summer but it was still fun regardless of the time of year! Well worth it!

  • What a cool space! We had a wedding in spring lake and booked this on a whim. The inside was decorated so well. A mix of new with some the old train depot still preserved. The beds were super comfortable and Jera was very easy to get ahold of beforehand and during our stay. Gorgeous windows and view of the water. Great space to take photos too ☺️ We easily got an Uber to and from the event in spring lake, too. I would totally recommend a stay here!
