There is one big room available in the South wing with queensize double and a single bed if required. It is a grand stone building built in the 1930s. The rooms have high ceilings, jarrah floors and open out onto a verandah and lawn.
The homestead is a compound composed of four separate and different buildings set around a central courtyard area. All the buildings are surrounded by verandahs, lawn and garden with a fence that rings the whole area of approximately an acre.
Edah is matchless pastoral land. It has been largely de-stocked for many years and the brilliant rain in the 2015 season has gifted the area with rich and varied plant and bird life.
The brightest stars, the biggest night skies and daytime horizons make Edah Station and the whole of the Murchison unique. The homestead is ringed by low granite hills and you can walk in any direction and see a variety of different plants, and potentially, animals and birds especially at dawn and dusk.
A very cool trip and a nice experience. Thanks to Amanda and all her friends, family and boyfriend. you made our stay unforgettable. the sunrises and the sunsets, the stars at night and the milkyway, all those amazing animals, the outback is amazing to see and experience so if you are in need for a advanture..go to ed-ahhh:)) We will never forget it! Thanks Zeljko and Leela
This experience is different to any other on AirBnB! This is a working, remote outback station. Guests should spend all their time on Edah. The nearest town, Yalgoo, is very small and 50km away and then it's 100's of kms to anywhere! We loved the experience. We were hosted by Amanda and Angus and made very welcome. We spent our time either learning about/participating in station life or on walks/drives in the vicinity of the homestead. Evening mealtimes were great for chatting and philosophising e.g. sustainability, our food choices, etc. Our trips on the station enabled us to enjoy the ancient landscape, the wildflowers, the wildlife (e.g. kangaroos and emus) and vestiges of aboriginal habitation.
