Benbulben - Ireland’s only tabletop mountain. Many local Beaches - E.g. Streedagh (5.8km), Mullaghmore (7.8km), Lissadell (11km). Milk Harbour (less than 1km) - While standing on the small harbour you may catch a glimpse of the local seal colony at low tide. Dernish Island - Located close to Milk Harbour, accessible by boat/kayak or via Streedagh strand at low tide. It is also fantastic to appreciate the island from dry land at Milk Harbour! Horse Riding Stables – Island View (1.5km) Glencar (20.5km) - Glencar has a lot to offer and would facilitate a wonderful day out. Trek up the mountain, admire the fantastic waterfall, or look out across the lake. Lissadell House (11km) - An impressive 19th century house and gardens overlooking Sligo Bay. W.B Yeat’s grave (11.2km) - Visit the famous Irish poet's grave at Drumcliffe Cemetery. Drumcliffe also offers a tea house and craft shop as well as bike rental. There are also numerous cycling routes, hiking trails, walks and opportunities to participate in adventure sports in Grange/it's surrounding areas. Again, we would be delighted to recommend activities that you would enjoy.
  • Had a great time in North Sligo. The house was a perfect place for exploring all the local beauty spots. A great space with everything we needed.

  • The kindest hosts we have had yet in ireland! They have the sweetest animals as well that were very fun to feed- and the hosts bought us fresh eggs from their chickens! Seriously such a happy feeling being there!

  • Fantastic place! Highly recommend. The space is large and clean. Wish we could spend more time there.

  • Great stay at this cosy cottage. Comfortable, clean with lovely views.

    Cecilia2020-03-08T00:00:00Z
  • This is a great space with plenty of room for more than two people. It was just my wife and I and the space was way more than we needed. Niamh is a generous and gracious host. I'd recommend this space for short and long-term stays. Wonderful access to everything in the surrounding areas and beautiful views out the front door. After a long time on the road, we were incredibly grateful for the laundry service for a very reasonable fee.

    Jim2020-03-05T00:00:00Z
  • We had a great time! I definitely recommend this place. The view is beautiful, and there are lots of hikes around.

    Sarah2020-02-28T00:00:00Z
  • This is an excellent space that is both comfortable and well appointed! The bathroom has a heated floor, which is outstanding for colder times! Definitely engage the host about activities in the surrounding area, as she can offer a lot of insight and is truly passionate about sharing the beautiful countryside with anyone who is interested. Not too far from Sligo, with plenty of options for dinner, etc., fairly close by. Definitely recommended!

  • Masters Cottage is truly a wonderful home, we felt so comfortable and relaxed there. Stormy nights spent cosy in front of the fire, a stunning view of Benbulben and our fantastic neighbour Martin all helped to make our stay one to remember. Daragh is an exceptional host who was always friendly and helpful whenever we had any questions or needed anything. Thank you for everything Daragh, we hope to return in a warmer season some time in the future.

    Scott2019-12-07T00:00:00Z
  • The Master's Cottage is a lovely little bolthole to clear the mind and relax alongside the fields close to Benbulben. North Sligo is an amazing area to explore, as well beyond to Leitrim and Donegal and other close counties.

    Libby2019-11-26T00:00:00Z
  • The rustic cottage is perfect for a secluded trip away - the scenery was amazing on every corner, lots of walks nearby and even though you feel so secluded it is very close to coffee shops, pubs and supermarkets. Would recommend having a car. It was so cosy with the fire on - loved our five days here.

    Siân2019-11-04T00:00:00Z
  • Its remote, but thats perfect for me. I had a very enjoyable and relaxing stay at Daragh's place and even got an inside tip on beaches to visit. Recommended for those seeking a place to disconnect and get away from the city. Facilities are clearly recently installed and really good - underfloor heating in the bathroom is something I never thought I needed.

    Alistair2019-10-02T00:00:00Z
  • Lovely and charming cottage on a quiet rural road. Nice and cozy indoor space with good hot water. We found the SuperValu in Grange was an excellent resource and highly recommend the Armada exhibit in town too. Daragh responded to our questions promptly and was a great host. We highly recommend the Masters Cottage for a quiet retreat in a perfect Irish setting.

Best House and Views in Donegal! Stunning unique beach house Perched on the hill, amazing panoramic cliff top views of Donegal Bay and mountains Part traditional part modern, beautiful interior. Featured in Irish Times newspaper style. Large open plan layout, 250 sq metres Abundance of activities & attractions very close. Remote with local pub and shop close walk. Donegal named by National Geographic as the coolest place on the planet for 2017 Fast Fibre Broadband
This is a stunning home that we love. It took us a few years to build it and have been using ourselves for many years - we've decided to share it. Check out the photos, it's just such a wonderful home perched up on top of the cliff overlooking Donegal Bay. Featured in the Irish Times newspaper - (URL HIDDEN) Hopefully it's apparent from the photos but this is not an ordinary house - the house itself is amazing, as are the views. I'm comfortable to stick my neck out and say that as I know you'll love it. If you don't believe me then check out the reviews so far. Just in case you're someone who doesn't read the reviews I've taken a few exact quote examples to give you an idea... 'This house is spectacular! Truly stunning views matched by a comfortable, modern, luxurious house. If it's available, just book it.' 'I've lived in Ireland for 17 years, and have never stayed in a holiday house that comes anywhere close to this one.' 'Absolut the best house you can stay at the coast of Ireland!!!!' 'A completely beautiful house surrounded by some of the most beautiful scenery in the world. I could not recommend this house more' 'Wow just Wow. Great house and what a location. The views are amazing. ' 'This house is unbelievable - the pictures don't lie - the views are spectacular. We almost didn't want to leave the house because the views were so amazing!!' 'This house is just amazing! We felt like millionaires living there' 'Wow! What a house and what a view. Don't waste your time looking around for something better - This is the place!' 'Don't think twice - you MUST rent this house!!' 'a MTV style crib that won't break the bank' The House - it's designed to be open and social, modern but still cosy. The kitchen/dining/living area is all open in the shape of a large L. The setup is perfect for a group of people cooking at home, or just hanging out and socialising. The kitchen is a large well fitted out space and has a huge picture window out to the bay - a real joy to cook in. The kitchen extends out via a large island to the dining area. This turns a corner into a spectacular more than double height lounge/living room, with double height windows again out to the beautiful Donegal Bay view. A huge amount of light comes through to the living area side of the house as to it consists mainly of glass to take advantage of the views. The photos illustrate it somewhat, but they really don't do it justice and are limited to 24. Polished concrete floors throughout living area - looks great, but also a great conductor of heat for the geothermal heating system and underfloor heating. Nice to be eco-friendly and just a little warm underfoot sometimes in Donegal! There's a stove fireplace in the living room, nice to sit around. There are 4 bedrooms in total and they are all large, each has its own character, all good wardrobe space. There are also 4 bathrooms in the house, all of which are a good size, and 2 of which are ensuite - makes it easy for a group of people. The main bedroom has our favourite view from the house to welcome you when you open the curtains in the morning - looking out to the bay over the Rossnowlagh cliffs. There is a separate large walk in wardrobe room. The bathroom is ensuite. It has really high ceilings, with a huge walk in shower. There is a large sink that's built into an antique dresser. Add in the gorgeous tiles and it's a room with a lot of character! The bed is a double Orla, the other family member, is the artistic one. And she had a lot to do with the next bedroom - again a big room, lots of quirky beautiful little features, the main one being the bed headboard that she made. The ensuite bathroom is a wet room with beautiful glistening marble mosaic tiles, a very modern sleek sink...minimalist, but touches like the antique mirror being backlit and shells from the nearby Rossnowlagh beach warm it up. There's also a disco ball in the bedroom I forgot to mention : ). Double bed. Large wardrobe space. There's another room which is probably the cosiest bedroom. This has a queen bed and again plenty of wardrobe space. Then the spare room where there is 2 beds - a regular double bed and also a couch that folds out into a bed (the couch bed isn't quite a double but its bigger than a single). There are beautiful views of the Dartry Mountains (the famous Benbulben) from the room. The bathroom is not ensuite, but right next door - and this is the bathroom that has the bath (there is also a shower in the bath). This bedroom and bathroom are also the only ones that are upstairs - the other 3 bedrooms and 3 bathrooms are all on the ground floor) All the bathrooms have showers were you can set the temperature on the wall before you get in...seems like a bit of an extravagance, but pretty damn good actually. Above the dining area in a walled off mezzanine area is the den. There's a flat screen TV with surround sound, gaming system (useful for kids and adults alike!), some dvds, board games, comfortable couch and chairs - the chill area! Kitchen pretty much has everything you'll need (check just in case there's something you're particularly after) and for coffee lovers there's a Nespresso machine with pods. If you want to bring your own coffee there's a cafetiere. There are some very basic provisions in the kitchen - please check if in doubt. In the main you'll need to bring/get what you need yourself. The View! - 180 degree views of sea and mountains. We've included a few photos, but really it just doesn't do it justice either in how it looks or how it changes from minute to minute. To the west you can see the Dartry mountains in Sligo, the famous Benbulben, Mullaghmore head and the old gothic style castle. On a clear day you can see the Nephin mountains in Mayo! Following the eye around from west to east it's the expanse of Donegal Bay and the hills over the other side, then to Rossnowlagh strand (which is a 2 minute drive), round to the Devil's Bit mountain the other side. The sunsets can be stunning - I've included one or two in the pictures. The house has a wonderful open plan layout and can really suit either a couple who want an amazing space to themselves for a few days or a family or two families staying together. We do try to price it so that it's affordable for a couple, particularly during the week. For families and bigger groups there are 4 bathrooms for the 4 bedrooms - so lots of space for each other. We've also had small business meetings, small yoga/qigong retreats, small family events. Depending on what you want to do and the completeness of the information you provide we are open to things like this but aren't making any promises - basically ask us and tell us as much as you can and we'll let you know if we're willing to go with it and if it will cost any extra and/or if we need an extra deposit. The house is available to rent as accommodation for those listed on the booking inquiry - it is not a cheap venue hire to which you can just bring who you like. Only people who are on the booking to stay are allowed in the house, unless consent is received in advance. It's a great base - there are a huge amount of things within driving distance...people love the place as a base - you can easily head further north into donegal or west to sligo/mayo. We can give you plenty of tips to make sure your stay is the best it can be. And it's really not a bad place to be holed up in case the Irish weather isn't being too cooperative!! There's a beauty in that strong west of Ireland weather, and a great vantage point of the bay to watch it. Some of the best times I've had there have been in that kind of weather, just hanging out with family/friends. Many people have commented they didn't want to leave the house to go places, I've felt that way myself many times when I've been (URL HIDDEN) just a great place to be cosied up in. There is wired fast fibre broadband unlimited. The broadband speed we have here is faster than I have with my fibre broadband in central London where I live - this is very unusual for Donegal. You can stream to the TV whatever you like - there's a chromecast device there but you can bring your own should you choose. There are also some board games, books, old surf magazines, various Irish books. There is also a bluetooth speaker in the living area to which you can stream your own music. We will of course do our best to make your stay as enjoyable as possible. So talk to us - let us know what you're interested in, what you're hoping to get out of your stay - there's so much interesting stuff in the vicinity, we will be able to point you in the right direction. We want you to leave feeling like you cant wait to get back. USEFUL THINGS VERY NEARBY... - Small shop with all the basics 3 or 4 minutes walk from the house, so if you run out of anything you'll be able to get it here. - Great pub 10mins walk...the Smugglers Creek is an award winning pub with great atmosphere and good food...very easy to park up there for a while (unfortunately this could be a 2 minute walk but there is an issue with the 'short cut' over insurance with a neighbouring property so it is necessary to take the long 10 minute walk around) PLEASE NOTE - the base cost per night is exactly that. It fluctuates and is higher at weekends and the summer. Also for more than 2 guests staying there is an additional charge per guest per night - this will be factored into the price automatically when you make your enquiry through Airbnb, so make sure you put the correct number of guests on the booking request and it will generate the correct price for you. Depending on the proportion of adults to children and some other factors we am open to discussing the price on certain occasions.
In the short overview we've highlighted the house itself and the view. There's a huge range of activities and attractions right on the doorstep. The location of Rossnowlagh right in the 'belly' of Donegal Bay gives really easy access to Sligo and Mayo to the west, the waters of Lough Erne and many other lakes inland, and the rest of Donegal to the north. So many things to see and do! We've got quite a few little 'secrets' that we don't shout about but are happy to share in person re things to do ; ) - cliff top walk to an old ruined castle, deserted beach walks that only appear with the tide, where to pick mussels, the best eggs 5mins walk away, the traditional music places, viewpoints, and loads loads more. Things to do/attractions that we can help you organise - - - Surfing (the best wave in Ireland, the Peak, is 20 minutes drive away. For intermediates/beginners Rossnowlagh strand is great, and you can see the wave from the window! Loads of surf all down that coast going west!) - Horse riding - Beautiful hill walking/hiking - Beach recommendations - Excellent golf - Restaurant recommendations (2 restaurants within 5 minutes walk! Gaslight and award winning Smugglers Creek pub) - Bar recommendations, some great traditional music sets - Kayaking - Kite surfing - Jet skiiing - Fishing - Various historical sites - Sliabh League cliffs - highest cliffs in Europe - Rock climbing - Classic car rental to see the sights - Mountain biking - Boat trips
  • An amazing house in an outstanding location! Couldn’t have asked for better. Would definitely recommend and we hope to be back again!

  • If you're looking to stay in a modern yet comfortable house seated on the edge of the earth with out of this world views, this is the place for you. Never in my life have I went to bed and awoken to such spectacular views of the water (the master bedroom has what is essentially two walls that are floor to ceiling windows). Although I wasn't able to take advantage of the enormous size of the house -- I was traveling alone -- but the kitchen was quite accommodating for a home-cooked meal and the main living area was very cozy given its size -- I ate my steak by the fire in a very comfortable leather chair. There were zero negatives about David's house, only positives. It was an awesome stay!

  • Amazing space to stay with a group. The view in itself is enough to keep you occupied. The house is very comfortable and modern with the underfloor heating making it very cosy. The layout is great as it feels huge and allows lots of private areas for people who want to have some time on their own. The rules are quite strict which can sometimes make it difficult to fully relax but I would definitely stay again and think it’s a very special space.

    Diana2019-11-04T00:00:00Z
  • We had a great stay at Kerri’s, I highly recommend. The room was spacious and we had our own bathroom which was very clean. (We we’re also coming off a few stays without having hot shower water, so this really felt like a luxury!) The view from the room was amazing as well.

    Ally2019-10-28T00:00:00Z
  • We had absolutely perfect stay. Room is really nice, spacious, and has a bubble bath in ensuite, oh and did i mention the ocean view through your window. What else could you possibly want? There was also a cutest dog to greet us on arrival! Would stay again and again!

    Aurimas2019-10-26T00:00:00Z
  • Much enjoyed my overnight stay with Kerri. She communicated well on the check-in, room was clean and spacious, she provided a tasty breakfast in the morning as well as good conversation about what to see in the area and abroad.

    Greg2019-10-21T00:00:00Z
  • Absolutely stunning view. Extremely clean, comfortable bed, great breakfast, loads of space, tranquil, quiet. Right next to insane waves (if you are into surfing) Kerri was very accommodating with our baby who seemed to delight in opening every cupboard! Can’t wait to return.

Semi-detached flat with well equipped kitchen/dining area and sitting room with wood burning stove. 2 bedrooms upstairs with low ceilings. Very small toilet with separate shower. Peaceful location, 2 miles from WAW, town and shops. Local pub 1 mile.
This is a 2 bedroom semi detached flat (2 double, 2 single beds) with a well equipped kitchen/living area. The bedrooms are upstairs and have low ceilings. Wood burning stove in TV room. Small toilet with separate shower. Very peaceful location, 2 miles from town, shops, garage, etc. Local pub 1 mile. WAW. I'll leave enough fuel for starting the fire and a few hours burning, but if you're using the stove a lot, I'd ask you to bring in your own fuel (available in Grange). A car is essential. There is a bus route through the town of Grange that services Sligo and Donegal but the bus stop is 2 miles from home.
Walk or cycle on quiet roads with amazing scenery in every direction. Horse riding, surfing, kayaking, hill walking, charter fishing, all available locally. Rosses Point links course 10 miles. Several good restaurants within 4 kilometres. 10 minute drive to Lisadell House and Drumcliff.
  • My family felt right at home here! Mary was such a pleasure. It was cozy and just what we needed for the night. We plan to return!

This self-catering three bedroom home is in a great location in Mullaghmore village with the hotels, bars, restaurants, beaches and pier all within a few minutes walking distance. Mullaghmore offers plenty to see and do and is located 20 minutes from Sligo and 10 minutes from Bundoran and provides great access to the Wild Atlantic Way.
The house consists of three bedrooms - one with a large double bed, one with a double and single bed and a third bedroom with two single beds and plenty of wardrobe/cupboard space. There is one bathroom with a shower but no bath, living and dining space, a fully equipped kitchen and sun room. There is plenty of parking space in the driveway and directly in front of the house and at the rear there is a small garden and a large patio area which is great for BBQs.
Mullaghmore provides easy access to Donegal, Sligo and the North West of Ireland. There is plenty to do in Mullaghmore including the beach and sand dunes and a walk or drive around the picturesque headland. The Beach Hotel, Pier Head Hotel and Eithna's by The Sea are great for food and drinks. Local attractions include Glencar Waterfall, Yeat's Grave and Benbulben Forrest Walk. Activities in Mullaghmore include deep sea fishing and diving, surfing and sailing. There are also great golf courses nearby - Murvagh (30 min), Rosses Point (20 min), Strandhill (30 min) and Bundoran (10 min).
  • Just returned from this house. Great house in fantastic location a few minutes walk from the beach. Very clean house with everything you need. Lovely kitchen and sitting room and lovely views of the beach. Great communication with the host from the start who left lots of milk and little basics. Very comfy beds and great shower. Warm house. Tristan has been a very good host, answering every question very fast and offering his help. Thank you very much for everything! We have enjoyed our trip! Carmen

  • This place is well located to visit the region, close to main touristic spot but in a quiet area (car mandatory, like everywhere you go when you visit the countryside of Ireland). Great welcome (even arriving late), the place is very clean, and bigger than expected. 3 cute dogs. Loved the scones! Would definitely recommend if you are visiting the region.

    Julie2019-09-15T00:00:00Z

  • I traveled with 3 children over a bank holiday weekend and had a wonderful relaxing stay. The accommodation is tastefully decorated and has amazing views from the front windows. All the essentials you'd need for meal preparation are provided but as we arrived late evening we decided to eat out. There are numerous good restaurants close by but they fill up pretty fast so book early! The accommodation is right next to Waterworld and Bundoran Adventure park which is a real bonus when traveling with children. David was a super host and couldn't have been more helpful. We will definitely stay here again. Thanks.

  • We only stayed one night at Micheal's house but it definetly was the best evening on our trip trough Ireland! Micheal is great person full of kindness, humour and hospitality :) He put a lot of effort into the renovation of his house and became just beautiful! The location is quiet and the views to both sides fantastic. We can only recommend anyone travelling Ireland to stay at least one night at Micheal's and we will make our best to return and enjoy some more of his company! Would rate 10 stars if I could ;)

  • Great place! Micheal has a cozy, warm house (I expexted a small bungalow but it's a nice house where he lives and offers 2 airbnb rooms) and likes to make his guests feel at home. He took us on a hike, showed us around and we had nice conversations :)

Note: All bookings honoured unless cancelled by guests due to covid 19 outbreak. In short term suitable for people already in Ireland. 72 hours between guests. No direct interaction with host necessary. Self reliance/isolation required.. Attractive two floor residence with its own private entrance. No access inside to main house, but attached to family home where host lives. Formerly an artists studio the space is bright and spacious. You need a car as nearest shops are in Dromahair 8km.
The space: Two floors as shown. Upstairs, double bed plus alcoves for working/extra bed. Generous cupboard. Velux roof lights with blinds. Wooden floor boards artist paint stained. Nice solid stairs to lower level. Stone floor on lower level. Wooden windows throughout. Fridge, electric cooker and hob. Washing machine. Solid wood stove with back boiler. Located in Lough Gill Drumlin Lakeland area, near Sligo/Leitrim border. Beautiful views of lough Gill and Parkes Castle on private farm walk (wellies needed). Very private off side road. Sligo only 12-15 minutes drive (Sligo hospital and IT) would suit person on work contract. The area. Attached to farm house surrounded by private farmland. Bit scruffy outside but improving as I am compiling this. private grass footie pitch. 3 acres of wild gardens/orchard (beware the bees). Loads of car parking space.
  • Really great cottage. Lovely scenic location with a nice lake and walk nearby. Host was lovely and very helpful. Overall we really enjoyed our stay and would highly recommend this place for a countryside escape.

  • Daragh was very friendly and the check in was very uncomplicated. The accommodation is very cozy and beautiful. Perfect to spent some quiet days in the nature! :)

    Kristin2020-03-13T00:00:00Z
  • We recently stayed at Daragh’s cottage and had an amazing time. The cottage was easy to locate and in very close proximity to the local town Dromahair. We would recommend having a car as most places in this area are more remote. The cottage was cozy and clean and bright, and with the peat fire lit it was a dream! Very comfortable for the two of us, plenty of space. The kitchen was very convenient as well. Daragh was on hand to check us in (and we even met his very friendly dog!) and responded very quickly to any question we had, but we definitely felt like we had the cottage all to ourselves. Great stay!

    Derrec2020-02-26T00:00:00Z
  • This is a gem of a place. Located in stunning countryside, it's peaceful and relaxing, yet only a short drive from Sligo town and all the area has to offer. Daragh made us feel very welcome and after a brief hiccup with the hot water, he sorted it out for us. The space is very comfortable. We visited during very cold and stormy weather, but were cosy and warm once the stove was lit. The bed is so comfortable and the loft area is lovely with all the natural light. The kitchen is well equipped. We cooked breakfast, lunch and dinner every day for our 5 night stay and had no problems. The bathroom had a couple of issues with the shower and heating but Daragh is due to have these problems fixed soon. The place was spotlessly clean. Overall a really lovely place made even more special by Daragh's friendly dog and two cats. We'll definitely return.

    Julie2020-02-14T00:00:00Z
  • I concur with most of the reviews here. Daragh was an exceptional host. As I was there for three weeks during the cold winter months.. When I mentioned place was a bit cold Daragh went out and and bought a wall heater which he installed within few days, wall heater made a big difference. As heat rises it kept upstairs pretty cosy too. He also kept me in good stock with fuel for the fire. He also very generously let me stay at his house for a couple of days when I got sick and couldn't leave at end of my stay. As one of the other reviewers said here a real gent.

The Lonesome Dove guesthouse is located at the very top of Mullaghmore, and it overlooks not only Mullaghmore village and beach, but also Benbulbin, parts of Sligo, Leitrim and Donegal bay. The guesthouse itself is part of a wider ranch complex, and it is a unique blend of equestrian style mixed with antique-chic. If you are looking for a one of a kind place to unwind, then look no further than The Lonesome Dove Guesthouse. We look forward to seeing you
Mullaghmore is 25 minutes north of Sligo town, and it is one of the most beautiful spots along the Wild Atlantic Way. It is also just 15 minutes from Bundoran – Ireland’s surfing capital. We can also arrange for you to enjoy a horse riding lesson (extra cost) in our riding arena or trail ride along a beautiful beach on the Wild Atlantic Way, taken in breathtaking views of Sligo and its neighbouring counties of Donegal and Leitrim given the trail rider an insight into three of the most beautiful and untouched counties of what is known as the Wild North West.
  • Really nice spot and great location, went for a walk into town saw the castle, horses, harbor, and Mullaghmore head. Spectacular, if you have time to chat with the couple they are really nice and showed us their horse and stable with cool collectibles of their travels.

    Kiron2019-10-04T00:00:00Z
  • The lonesome dove was great! Sean was incredibly communicative and helpful. Our plane got in late so we didn’t arrive till after dark, but check in was easy and the house was beautiful and cozy. They had already started a fire for us to sit by. There were special touches, like the fresh milk and eggs waiting for us. We only wish we had more time to spend there. We would have loved to been able to get to know Sean and the rest better and go horseback riding on the beaches. Next time for sure!

    Shauna2019-10-03T00:00:00Z
  • Lonesome Dove is such a unique place. The host checked in with us to see our arrival time. We arrived later than planned and Fanny had already started a fire in the wood stove for us and met us out in the driveway with a flash light to make sure we got in ok. If you are an early riser, the sun rises over the water right out front. I woke up early both mornings to see it. Great location. There is so much in driving distance. Classiebawn castle and Mullaghmore beach are right down the road. The Gleniff Horseshoe Drive is very close and donegal is not far either.

  • Enjoyed this place! Very close walk to downtown area. Comfy bed that also included an electric blanket. Appreciated how clear the check in instructions were.

  • Fantastic location. Was given very clear, helpful directions and check-in instructions. The entire house is spotlessly clean. There were some nice touches, like full bottles of toiletries provided in the bathroom and chocolate and bottled water in the bedroom. Good selection of breakfast provided also. Great value.

This is a lovely part of the world and the house is just yards from the coastal walk with its fabulous scenery, overlooking the renowned Slieve League. The house is just over a mile from the centre of Bundoran, in a quiet residential area.
  • Liz is such a delightful human! I could go on and on about the location and the lovely room, but the real gem of our stay was the host. Clever and kind, hospitable to the nth degree, Liz is a wonderful conversationalist and truly engaged in the work of making her guests feel warm and welcome, free and relaxed. A rare experience in a sea of impersonal airbnbs. Highest recommendation!

    Sylvie2019-08-12T00:00:00Z
  • For me, this was an outstanding stay. Liz has taken such care to make her/your place as welcoming and comfortable as you could wish for. The house is light, airy and spacious and filled with beautiful, thoughtful touches to everything in it. The house is close to the sea and offers fantastic walks along the coastline cliffs that lead to town, and from where you can watch the sunset. I enjoyed Liz's warm and generous company very much and spent many hours discussing a vast array of topics. Thank you Liz. I highly recommend this place.

  • Florence is an outstanding host with a lovely home. We were made feel like family and she even helped us locate distant relatives in Cliffony. There are 2 pubs in Cliffony not more than 5 minutes walk from the house. The house is situated on a quiet road with a stunning view of the coast and mountains. We'd recommend a walk to the beach which is located a short 20 minute walk away and a drive through the Gleniff Horse Shoe.

My apartment is located in the centre of Sligo town, a blink away from everything you'll need. It's private, cosy, and central, suitable for couples, solo adventurers, and business travellers. Being so central, it can be noisy. Light sleepers take note.
It's a two-bedroom apartment in a gated complex right in the centre of Sligo town. There are a variety of shops, restaurants, pubs, and clubs within easy reach and you're never far from nature with the river fifty metres away.
Sligo town is friendly and easy-going, rain, hail, or shine. The best thing I ever did was move here. Being in the centre of town, it can get a little 'lively' at night. I provide earplugs to help with that.
  • Eamonn was very accommondating and plesant . Central location with everything in arms reach .

    Alexander2020-03-07T00:00:00Z
  • Eamon is a very relaxed, helpful and flexible host. His answers come almost immediately. A perfect place to stay if you want to have a nice evening in the pub in Sligo Town. It can get loud at night, but you really only have a few minutes walk to the pubs and restaurants. The earplugs are kindly ready!

    Andrea2020-03-04T00:00:00Z
  • Very clean room and bathroom, the apartment is in plain city center. Eamon went outside to get us in for a warmth welcoming, gave us local tips and even provided earplugs to sleep (very noisy people down the road) !

  • We are very grateful to Eamon for hospitality, kind attitude and excellent advice! Thanks to him, we have so many wonderful experiences and memories. Eamon is a very interesting person, it was interesting to communicate with him, to learn new things about the country and its inhabitants. An authentic apartment in the very center of Sligo, among the romantic bridges, it is comfortable and interesting. There are many pubs in the area, having come here on weekends or holidays you can plunge headlong into unbridled fun with locals and other tourists. We advise.

This is a cosy self contained Chalet located 6 miles from Sligo Town / Wild Atlantic Way.
The Chalet is 10 minute drive from Sligo Town. The Chalet is situated in a quiet tranquil setting with beautiful views over Lough Gill / Lake Isle of Innisfree and the surrounding countryside. It is two miles to historic Parkes Castle and four miles to Hazelwood House and adjoining lakeshore walkways and woodland trails. There is also a local picturesque walk from the Chalet to the Lough Gill shoreline. This is an ideal location to getaway from it all and enjoy the countryside.
    Tranquil and friendly neighbourhood.
  • Johns chalet is always the highlight of our trip. We stay here every-time we visit sligo. John is an excellent host, always making himself only a call or text away.

  • John was an excellent host. He provided perfect instructions on how to get to his place and had left the key ready for us as we would be arriving late. The location is amazing and looks out over Lough Gill. YOU do definitely need a car to get there however it can only be described as picturesque once you do. The chalet itself was perfectly clean. It's a decent sized space for 2 people for a few night and includes all the facilities you'd need including clear instructions on how to use everything, from the heating to the TV. John had left us some milk and tea bags which was much appreciated too. We really enjoyed our nights in Sligo and definitely would stay again with John in his chalet.

  • Simply amazing! Great location. You can walk to the beach or to Smuggler's Creek (a pub opened year round except November but only on the weekends in the winter). Amazing views. Very clean place with fantastic modern appliances. And last but not least, Doris is one of the best hosts I've ever had. She is great and will go out of her way to make your stay comfortable.

  • Cliff Lodge - just amazing, the house, the view, the beach! We’re already planning our next trip.

    Sinead2020-01-26T00:00:00Z
  • A fabulously located, warm, well equipped, immaculate, comfortable, stylish and welcoming place ... and the views are stunning. We were so fortunate with the weather which was a blessing. We called the lodge a beautiful and warm little nest for our stay in Rossnowlagh. Perfect distance from the beach and very cosy welcoming pub/ restaurants nearby also. Doris as a host is a delight and so prompt and helpful. Our stay was made magical by all these ingredients.

The Hide is located on a quiet lane in rural North Sligo. It is a tiny cosy wood cabin with patio & private outdoor space. It has a separate entrance, completely detached from our house. We are 20 minutes drive north of Sligo town, 10 minutes to the nearest beach, 15 minutes from the mountains, 5 minutes from Lissadell House with lots of quiet lanes to walk or cycle. We know travel has an environmental impact, we commit to plant a native Irish tree for every night The Hide is occupied.
The Hide is a timber structure with lots of light. It has a large open plan living, sleeping area with a small kitchenette. The building is naturally very warm year round. It has a gas boiler, heating radiators and hot water. After a day exploring The Hide is a very comfortable place to relax and unwind. The living space opens out onto its own patio and seating area. This connects to our overgrown kitchen garden (always a work in progress!) and orchard. The Hide has a bathroom with shower, storage room and a porch, which holds our library for those wet days or quite movements. The kitchenette has a sink, fridge, microwave, 2 plate induction hob (idea for heating food), kettle, toaster, tea/coffee making facilities and utensils. It is not a full kitchen but ideal for breakfast and light meals. The Hide has WiFi internet (but no TV). We also have lots of books, jigsaws and puzzles. Ideal if you want time out to enjoy the peace! We can store sports equipment overnight (e.g. surfboards or bicycles) and there is space to hang out wetsuits and wet outdoor gear.
The Hide is located on the Maugherow peninsula between Sligo Bay and Donegal Bay. The Atlantic is approx 1km away on three sides. Depending on the season, you can hear the sound of the sea! It is a quiet, rural area with a local shop and two pubs. There is some limited public transport to Sligo town.
  • Cozy and spacious place, quick response and warm welcome. Plenty of intimacy and quietnes if that's what you're looking for. Plenty of birds activity and very close to beautiful places to visit and walk.

  • We had a lovely weekend in Co. Sligo. Fionnuala and Damien were great hosts - very friendly and welcoming. The Chalet was comfortable and cosy. Fionnuala's homemade wheaten bread was very tasty :) We hope to visit again!

  • What would be the worst weekend, turns out to be the best thanks to Fionnuala & Damion (and Marvin). First of all, a delighted welcome. The house is cosy and warm. There were jam, milk, butter, orange juice and a terrific homemade bread waiting for us. Despite our misfortune to get in there because of a problem with the rental car, Fionnuala managed to get us all the help that she could, moreover given us a lift to get in the village to have a nice dinner that they booked for us. We definitely highly recommend this place, it feels like home. We will come back again ❤️

  • Lovely stay in a superb location. Thank you Mary for everything, we look forward to visiting again soon!

    Catherine2019-11-25T00:00:00Z
  • Home away from home... Mary is a wonderful, welcoming host (along with her family). The cottage is just as lovely and cozy as described, if not nicer. Mary welcomed me with a wonderful loaf of fresh baked bread & milk in the fridge. In addition, the kitchen is sparkling clean and well stocked for your cooking/dining needs. The cottage is very easy to find with private parking in the beautiful garden area adjacent to the cottage. Located between the mountains and the sea, affording guests so many daytrip options and dining locations. I can't recommend this property and host enough, you may not want to leave. I know I didn't.

Thanks for everything!
