The house had everything we needed and tastefully decorated. We met Mike on our last day. We wish we would've met him when we arrived. He was extremely charming and generous. We will definitely comme back again. We highly recommend this place.

Very clean with all the amenities we needed.

    Linda2019-11-23T00:00:00Z
  • Cute home to spend a night! Fogo island is unique.

    Darlene2019-10-16T00:00:00Z
  • Due to unforeseen circumstance I had to cancel my stay on very short notice. Despite the inconvenience and lost revenue during prime time on Fogo Island, Jason was most gracious in his communications. Fogo Island is a bucket list item, so I am looking most forward to re-booking with Jason in the near future.

    Joani2019-10-12T00:00:00Z
  • Great, cute little house. Clean and modern while still keeping the area's aesthetic. Easy walk down the path to visit the Fogo Inn.

  • Sharon and Edna are wonderful hosts and such great people. They have a lovely home with a heavenly view of the cove. Their home is in a nice and quiet neighbourhood— a little away from the main stretch of Twillingate (7 min walk/1 min drive). It’s also walking distance to Captain’s Pub where there’s live singing and storytelling 6 days per week, a snack truck, and some beautiful walks and trails. My friend and I loved the room. It (and the rest of the kitchen/dining room/living room) was clean and decorated in their eclectic and artsy style. The beds were very comfortable. The washroom is large and clean. There were so many nice touches and kind and thoughtful interactions with the hosts! Highly recommend!

  • We along with another couple spent three nights at Alvin's Chalet. The Chalet is wonderful, super clean and comfortable. All is as described but better. It really is situated on a peaceful pristine bay with spectacular views that await you after a day of touring. During our stay Alvin's property manager contacted us twice to ensure all was well. These folks want you to have a good stay. Upon arrival we were met with a hand written note and a bottle of wine. Alvin you make a good wine. We enjoyed the hiking trail behind the Chalet, the colorful benches and hand painted rocks of Newfoundland scenes along the trail are a nice touch. In all we had a fantastic time touring the eastern portions of Newfoundland. Staying at Alvin's Chalet was part of what made this a memorable trip.

  • We had the most amazing stay at the Tickle Vacation Home. A very quiet and beautiful location, the hosts are very friendly and accommodating. We were traveling to spend an early Christmas with family, we didn’t expect the house to be decorated for the holidays as we are from the island and know this time of year is off season and probably very slow but it was beautifully decorated with a lovely Christmas tree. When you are away for the holidays, you want to still feel like you’re at home, and the Tickle Vacation Home felt like being home. Cannot say enough positive things, thank you both very much for a delightful stay!

A cozy cottage nestled in Muddy Cove of Cobb's Arm, this place offers a beautiful view of the ocean. Easy day trip to Fogo Island! Kayaks for use at own risk.

  • Dave's place was amazing! The view outside was beautiful, it's exactly what we needed. Herring Neck is very close to Twillingate and not too far from the ferry if you want to cross over to Fogo Island. The spot was just perfect.

    Vanessa2019-09-26T00:00:00Z
  • The house is beautifully situated on the waters of Cobb's Arm. It looks newly renovated inside and has pretty furniture and nice seaside decorations. The kitchen is well equipped - just remember to go shopping beforehand because there is no shop in Cobb's Arm. All this is described in detail in the information that Jen and Dave provide with the check-in instructions. We highly recommend this cute little house!

    Thorsten2019-09-17T00:00:00Z
  • Great destination! The space is beautifully clean and decorated. The view is spectacular and after daily excursions it is a cozy and quiet place to call home. It is spacious and well equipped with Netflix!

    Eric2019-09-13T00:00:00Z
  • A lovely cottage that is about 10 to 15 minute drive from Twillingate. It was very clean and tastefully decorated with all the necessary amenities.

    Monica2019-09-03T00:00:00Z
  • We stayed at this cottage for 3 nights with another couple and really enjoyed it! The place is very well appointed, with everything you need in the kitchen and bathroom, even q-tips and band-aids! The beds are super comfy, and there are plenty of bed and bath linens available. Nice little touches like cards and a cribbage board were great too. Outside there is a gorgeous deck, firepit, and 2 kayaks available, as well as a lovely charcoal bbq (our steaks were delicious on this grill). We enjoyed touring around the twillingate area while returning to the quiet and tranquil cove each afternoon and evening. If you walk just past the cottage you will find a trail that takes you to a lovely little cove with 2 horses! So much to see and do in this area, we are already planning to return next summer! Dave and Jennifer are great hosts, and they responded to any questions we had promptly. Thank you for a wonderful vacation spot!

    Lauren2019-08-30T00:00:00Z
  • The cottage has a gorgeous view, and shows exactly what it looks like in the picture. We had a very comfortable stay.

    Colette2019-08-25T00:00:00Z
  • Am absolutely incredible house. The view, the quiet and the house. All superb. Thanks Dave and Jen for the incredible stay.

    Mitch2019-08-03T00:00:00Z
  • This was a perfect place to stay and it fully met our needs. It was quiet and we loved the available kayaks to have early morning paddles before heading out to tour some of the villages. It was about 18 minutes to drive into Twillingate. Dave had excellent recommendations of what to see/do/eat in the area and we followed pretty much all of them. A highlight was definitely Pike's Arm lookout, which was literally 5 minutes away and we had the lookout to ourselves on a beautiful day. Thanks much to the hosts! We would stay again in a heartbeat.

This home is only a 10 minute walk from Brimstone Head Walking Trail and from the main area which has a Bank, Beaches Bar and Grill, Riffs Clothing Store, Chinese Restaurant and many Museums. • Sonya was a wonderful host. She was quick to respond to my messages. Her home is clean and quaint. My group of 4 were very comfortable there. The view is breathtaking, making us stop and soak in the character and charm of the place. We had a surprise snowfall but the walkway was cleared before we returned. Thank you for taking such good care of us.

    Lisa2019-11-11T00:00:00Z
  • We had a wonderful stay at Sonya's! Very clean and comfortable. It really made me feel nostalgic - like I was staying at my grandmother's home! This cottage is so cute and quaint, you will not be disappointed with your stay. Also very close to local amenities. Will definitely visit again!

    Amy2019-10-03T00:00:00Z
  • Great Island hospitality!

    Jonathan2019-09-30T00:00:00Z
  • We enjoyed our 3 day stay at Sonya's place very much. Her saltbox house is right on the water with fantastic views. The house itself is a wonderful example of a traditional saltbox with low ceilings and small rooms. We loved the authenticity of staying there while on the island. The house is well equipped with everything you need to be comfortable. The beds were comfortable, the shower was fine and the washer and dryer were an extra bonus. Unfortunately, a cold, wet storm limited our outdoor activities during our stay but we still managed to get out and explore the island and the small outports. The storm finally blew through on our last afternoon and we were able to take a windy hike on the beautiful Lion's Den Trail. Fogo Island is a very interesting and beautiful place to visit and Sonya's house is a wonderful place to stay.

The Salt Water Villa is an oceanfront property nestled amongst beautiful granite rocks right on the Atlantic Ocean over looking Puffin Island lighthouse. This cottage is my home away from home. It has been decorated to replicate a typical outport home of the 50’s 60’s and70’s. A living museum. Beautiful, peaceful, off the beaten path!!
Nestled in the outport community of Greenspond your own private seclusion with a million dollar view in the area known by many as “Down Harbour “. Icebergs and whale watching from your own private deck......in season. Watch the moon rise over the ocean. It’s a photographers dream.
Greenspond Is situated on the north east coast. A true authentic outport Newfoundland experience. Enjoy the relaxing and inspiring atmosphere and history. Greenspond one of Newfoundland’s oldest inhabited fishing villages. Bath in local traditions, on the wharf watch the local fishermen coming in with their catch, book a walking tour or boat tour or just get to know the locals or simply relax. Either way......time well spent. We hope you will be the next to enjoy this gem.
  • We absolutely loved our stay at The Saltwater Villa! From the personal greeting to superb cleanliness, everything was amazing! And the view is stunning. Waking up to see the sun rise over the ocean was breathtaking! We cannot wait to return!

    Heather2019-09-29T00:00:00Z
  • Breathtaking views, friendly and informative host. Clean and comfortable living space with added touches. Amazing community as well will lots to see. Favorite part was sitting with the lights off watching the waves, birds and lighthouse as the sun went down. Definately magical.

  • Josephine’s hospitality is bar none. The ocean view, sunrise, moonrise and the sound of the sea were hypnotic. It was a relaxing getaway. Quaint accommodations and walking trail at your doorstep. A very friendly town. Eric and Val

  • Great location to relax, storm watch or walk around the island. Everything you need and more. Local baking and drinks was a nice touch.

    Jason2019-09-13T00:00:00Z
  • My Mom and I came over on a birthday trip for her. At first I was having a hard time deciding where to go because everywhere in Newfoundland is so lovely. But when I saw Josephine's house and the immediate surroundings I knew that had to be our first stop! The pictures were of course accurate but they don't do justice to the house - you just have to see it for yourself, and once you do you'll want to come back again and again. We loved every moment of our time there, waking up to the loveliest of views, walking the coastal trail that is not even five minutes up the road and eating up at the Hub. Josephine also left us some delicious homemade treats which didn't last long. We could not have asked for a homier home base and she was incredibly helpful when Hurricane Dorian was racing up the coast towards the island. I don't have enough good things to say about this host, the accommodation and the surrounding community!!

    Ngaio2019-09-08T00:00:00Z
  • This Villa is an absolute must see, I loved everything about this place it's like a little piece of heaven. I absolutely loved all her antiques and how she had everything decorated, the waterfront location was beautiful. We set the clock for 6am to watch the sunrise and it was breathtaking. This place did not disappoint it's a 5 star all the way!

    Lori2019-09-02T00:00:00Z
  • Anyone staying at Josie's place will enjoy a warm, cozy gingerbread like house right on the doorstep of the ocean. Inside, an unexpected surprise!

    Bonnie2019-09-01T00:00:00Z
  • We loved our stay in Josie's cottage by the sea. We were greeted by Josie when we arrived in Greenspond, we found Josie to be very responsive and helpful. The cottage offers a beautiful view of the ocean, nestled in the quaint community of Greenspond. The cottage is beautifully decorated with treasures from the past. You must see this place in person to fully appreciate how beautiful and special it is. The cottage is well equipped and the special treats were very much appreciated. We loved the time we spent at The Saltwater Villa and in Greenspond. My only regret is not having stayed longer. Thank you Josie for sharing your home with us.

Travel through time as you enter this newly restored Old Salt Box home with all the modern conveniences. While taking in the ocean view, imagine nearly a century ago when ten men and a horse pulled the house across the ice from nearby Ship Island to where you now stand in Pike's Arm. You'll discover original artifacts from decades past, reminiscent of when the house was a family home and a community museum. Add a stay at The Museum to your list of Newfoundland adventures.
PLEASE NOTE: THE MUSEUM IS LOCATED IN THE COMMUNITY OF PIKES ARM (not in Herring Neck as incorrectly shown on the Airbnb 'Location'). Our home in Pike's Arm is about 25 minutes from Twillingate and an hour from the ferry to Fogo Island, both popular tourist destinations. View the ocean from the front and back of the house and, depending on your luck, catch sight of a whale and maybe even an iceberg! A beautiful lookout where you see breathtaking views of the surrounding area is only a five minute walk from The Museum. Our home is a completely renovated one bedroom, two storey Old Salt Box home with the modern conveniences of a new home. The loft bedroom has a queen size bed with a spectacular view of the ocean. There is a three piece bathroom ensuite and a two piece powder room on the main floor. All main living spaces have a view of the ocean.
The Museum is an ocean front (and back) home located in Pike's Arm, a small outport community. A tiny collection of homes dots this beautiful outport ocean landscape. If you need a few basics, there is a variety store located in Cobb's Arm about a ten minute drive from Pike's Arm. The town of Twillingate (about twenty minutes away from Pike's Arm) has two grocery stores, a bank, pharmacy, liquor store (The Mercantile), and a post office, as well as many sights and attractions. Take a walk through Twillingate and visit the gift shops, craft brewery, museums, art galleries and fish market. Perhaps you'll take a whale watching tour. The restaurants and coffee shops in the area offer a variety of traditional Newfoundland delights. Maybe you're in town for the Fish, Fun, and Folk Festival. Take in the Dinner Theatre or other musical events in town. It's worth the fifteen minute drive from Twillingate to the town of Crow Head to savour the view at the Lighthouse. Hike one of the many beautiful trails in the area while you're there.

  • Cozy spot in a nice location!

    Angie2019-07-28T00:00:00Z
  • This was a great place to use as a base to explore Fogo Island. The house was clean with lots of space and plenty of character with a nice view of the bay. The ceilings are a bit low in the living room so be prepared to keep your head down there if you are 5’10 plus. Jarrod was lovely and met us in person around check in and was very friendly and gave us some great advice for travel around the island. Our kids loved playing their board games in the evening and we all felt at home here.

    Peter2019-07-26T00:00:00Z
  • Rustic and friendly place! Thank you for the little attentions of the lunch. We would come back for a longer stay.

    Guillaume2019-07-22T00:00:00Z
  • Jarrod’s house was spacious and inviting, just like Nan’s ;) The location was perfect and the hosts were helpful. They left unexpected touches and things to be discovered within the home. I would highly recommend.

    Megan2019-07-19T00:00:00Z
  • Jarrod greeted us once we arrived at the house; he was warm and welcoming and gave us some great tips about local walking trails and supplied us with all we needed to make our stay comfortable. Our kids loved the board games, and the wifi was much appreciated! We had a lovely lunch at Scoff Restaurant (just a few steps away). Thanks for the great visit! We will be sure to visit again.

    Jolene2019-07-15T00:00:00Z
  • Lovely old traditional family home with main area more than 200 years old. Because of this rafters in that area are quite low so may not work for tall people. Jarrod was a great host who met us in person shortly after we arrived and was very informative re local community hikes, food and opportunities to explore. Sadly our stay was too short.

    Lloyd2019-07-10T00:00:00Z
  • Old house but very well equiped even with a washer. Bred, jam and coffee were provided foreakfeat. Very well located, close to the trails. We enjoyed it .

  • A beautiful two bedroom cottage with everything needed for two couples. A quiet, peaceful place close to nature. We were able to cook our own food in the kitchen and outdoor grill. It was easy to go for walks on the well groomed trail around Greenspond island. The locals were friendly and helpful. We watched freshly caught cod being cleaned and filleted on the seashore stages, and were given fish to take home and eat in our cottage. Highly recommended.

Change Islands, NL Its a magical place! Accessible by coastal ferry, time stands still in this beautiful , rugged, historic place. The song Squid Jiggin Grounds was written here and we have icebergs, whales, hiking trails for all levels of hikers, a museum, an interpretation centre, the Change Islands Newfoundland Pony Santuary, the Tickle full of red stages and stores. We are 11.9 kms from the boat. Left hand side of the road. Blue bungalow. Just past the small helipad Orange Windsock
Quiet and quaint on an Island off an Island....peaceful....
Change Islands is an outport community of approximately 300 residents in the Canadian province of Newfoundland and Labrador, located between Notre Dame Bay and the Labrador Sea, on the northeast coast off the island of Newfoundland. Change Islands actually spans three small islands of the same name, two of which are populated. Each island is separated from the other by a "tickle", which is a narrow strait in Newfoundland English. The northern island (unpopulated) and middle island are separated by the North Tickle. The middle and southern islands are separated by the Main Tickle. The South Island is larger, containing more marshes/bogs, and wooded areas. The Middle Island is smaller, mostly barren, and the Northern Island is smaller yet, but unpopulated and difficult Change Islands was first settled in the early 1700's by European settlers as a series of random settlements around the islands tied to seasonal fishing activity. The town as we now know it developed into a cohesive community in the 20th century as the population gravitated towards the main tickle due to such things as resettlement, access to government services and changes in technology (ie. motorized boats). The community peaked in size in the early 1900's when it was the hub of the schooner fleet working the Labrador fishery. The residents of Change Islands have preserved many of their traditional homes, stages, and stores (fishing sheds); most of these landmarks have disappeared in much of coastal Newfoundland and Labrador with the collapse of the ground fishery. Known for its beauty, cleanliness and preservation of the past, Change Islands is the perfect place to hike, to kayak and enjoy the outdoors on an island in the ocean.
  • Friendly and very willing to help with whatever you might need.

  • Our 2 day stay at Dennis and Paula's place was as good as it gets and we've stayed in Airbnb places all over the world. The room was perfect for us. The bed is comfortable and the bathroom and shower were just fine but, what will make your stay on Change Islands even more special, is the hospitality, friendliness and kindness of Paula and Dennis. We were there on my birthday and, after a full day of exploring the island and hiking the beautiful Squid Jiggers trail, we came back to find that Paula had put up birthday decorations, baked a cake and made a fresh cod dinner for us to celebrate my birthday. Their generosity and kindness made my birthday one of the most memorable I have ever had. We fell in love with Change Islands during our brief stay there. It is quaint, picturesque, friendly and very much still a small fishing outport that is delightful to explore. Be sure to visit Pete's Olde Museum too. You'll be entertained beyond your wildest imagination. Our only regret is not having stayed longer. We would love to return and we would stay at Dennis and Paula's place again without any hesitation. Highly recommended!

  • Paula was a wonderful hostess!!! Her directions made it very easy for us to find her house, the room was very clean & comfortable, she made herself available, if we needed anything & was very welcoming & friendly. Felt like staying with friends😀😀

  • Our experience at Off da Tickle was amazing. The host went above and beyond our expectation and went out of their way to ensure our comfort during our stay. Will definitely recommend this place and we certainly will be back again.

  • Change Islands is a place to totally forget your troubles and relax in a carefree and slow paced environment. It's also exquisitely beautiful!

    Margaret2019-07-08T00:00:00Z
  • Paula and co is why I choose to use AIR BandB - Never was in doubt or question - was well cared for and thoroughly enjoyed exploring the tickle - a photographers paradise - while making some new friends

    Jane2019-06-24T00:00:00Z
  • We wish we could give Paula and Dennis more than five stars. They are thoughtful, warm, very cool and talented people. Their encyclopedic knowledge of the island and its stories added a depth to our adventure that we couldn’t have anticipated.

A charming and authentic little saltbox house located right in the community of Tilting. This house is very quaint and cozy and we believe without accurate documentation to be approximately 130 years old. It is a few minutes walk away from viewing absolute breathtaking scenery. Tilting is a Registered Heritage District of NL and a National Historic Site of Canada.
This house is fully equipped with a fridge, stove, microwave and laundry facilities. It will sleep two in the main bedroom [double], two in the second bedroom [double] and one in the third bedroom [single]. It has one full bathroom. Like all the houses that were built during this time period in Tilting the ceilings are lower than normal and have beams.
Encounter this unique Irish heritage community with its warm, friendly people and beautiful scenery. This well-preserved, wonderful little harbour is steeped in history and the local inhabitants are more than happy to share the stories with you. Relax and take in the natural beauty of this quaint little harbour community where you can take a step back from busy everyday life and reflect on simple pleasures. Here are just some of the activities that you can enjoy while visiting this area: • Hike on scenic walking trails • Picnic while watching whales play along the shoreline • Tour Fogo Island Inn, voted #12 of the most beautiful Inn's in the world • Visit incredible art studios, designed by international architects and built in the coves of the rocky Atlantic Ocean • Walk through one of the oldest Irish cemeteries outside of Ireland • See towering icebergs just offshore (during the month of May) • Go swimming or take a stroll along beautiful Sandy Cove Beach
  • This is our second time staying here. Everything was wonderful. Both tilting and Darlene are absolutely amazing. I'm sure there will be a next time!

  • We had a fantastic stay in Tilting for the Fogo Island Race Weekend. Of all the AirBnBs we’ve stayed at, Darlene gets the Top Host Award. Her house was a real charmer, and it had just about anything you’d need and then some. Two things staying there has ruined for me... Toutons will never be the same again, Darlene’s were the absolute best, and the sheets on the bed were incredible. We loved our stay, wish it could have been longer.

    Jef2019-08-25T00:00:00Z

The Cottage has a light house on the front lawn .over looking the ocean. Beautiful sunset . Very private and quiet .
  • By good fortune we met our hostess in the driveway as she was making final preparations for our stay, so we were able to chat about the beautiful area, our respective family connections, (so important in Newfoundland), and found fresh home made bread and a fridge stocked with all the niceties for breakfast. The house is kept spotlessly clean, the linens were fresh, even new mattresses. This place is truly a delight, and feels like a cosy cabin on the seaside.

    Celeste2019-09-25T00:00:00Z

  • We loved our stay in the loft / "hobbit room". Although it was tiny, the room felt very cozy and comfortable. There is shelving for all your gear and a window overlooking the water. The location is great! Right across the street from Split Rock Brewery. Would absolutely stay again!

  • Quirky place! They really do mean that the ceiling is under 5 feet! Super clean and great base for exploring the area.

    Kathryn2019-08-26T00:00:00Z
  • Very clean, bright place. Super easy checkin. We stayed in the loft, which only has a 5 foot ceiling, but it didn't matter at all because we didn't want to spend much time in the room other than to sleep. There is plenty of common space - a big living room and nice kitchen.

    Lorna2019-08-08T00:00:00Z
  • Very good location any super clean.

    Jay2019-08-02T00:00:00Z
  • We stayed in the "loft" room. Very low ceiling as advertised but with so much to do in Twilingate and surrounding areas we barely used the room. Nice little window with a view to the pier. Right beside a full bathroom. Theres a full kitchen in the main floor. Restaurants, bars, and tour companies a few steps away. Communication with the host was great! Would definitely recommend staying in the loft room if your trip to twinligate does not exceed 2-3 days. However, they have other bigger rooms and I will be sure to check them out next time I am there.

Newly constructed cottage, no corners cut here. The exterior was done in a spruce wood siding, while the interior was done in a local spruce shiplap, white washed for a soft appearance. The cottage is clean, decorated with old and new so that it maintains that cozy feel. The fireplace adds a warm ambiance. You have access to hiking trails across the island, where you may come across Foxes, Caribou, Whales or Icebergs depending on the time of year. Don't forget to visit the Newfoundland ponies.
Island Harbour was founded in 1864. Located off the beaten path. Island Harbour was the hub for sealers from Fogo Island. Island Harbour was a fishing town, now that the fishery is closed, the fishing premises that once thrived remained unused and falling down. There has been little development in Island Harbour since the closure of the fishery. The residents of the community are always willing to share some history, just ask
  • A hidden gem!! Perfect place with prompt kind support from host and family. Wine on the porch and local stories a treasure. Thank you with kindness. See you again.

  • This house is a gem. Beautiful decor and what a view on the harbour! The area is extremely quiet, you will sleep very peacefully. The house is brand new but the decor is a good mix of traditional Fogo style (quilts) and contemporary. it’s got all the amenities, just be mindful internet connection is scarce and driving is involved to visit the main communities of Joe Batt’s arm (20min) and Fogo. We didn’t mind the drive cause it was so nice to come back home to this. Highly recommend it.

    Natalie2019-08-12T00:00:00Z
  • Tanya's place was so well furnished and had everything we could ever need. There were gorgeous antique dishes in the cupboards and locally made quilts on the beds, which really made it feel like an authentic Fogo Island experience. Her house was right on the water and provided the perfect getaway to relax and watch the sunset. We will definitely be back.

    Darlene2019-08-05T00:00:00Z
  • The house was exceptional - modern, clean, and with all the amenities needed for a wonderful stay. Sitting on the front porch watching the sun set over the harbour was a true highlight.

    Pam2019-07-31T00:00:00Z
  • No need to spend 2000 $ at the Big Inn ! Staying at Tanya's new house is much more fun ! You can be part of a village at Fogo Island with the locals by lodging at this beautiful and gorgeous house at Island Harbour ! Everything is new in the house and it is decorated with great taste and style ! The View from the house on the cove is magnificent, and you will appreciate the great hospitality of the people from Island Harbour ! Enjoy the Island at its best by having breakfast or dinner at the Cod Jigger Diner, an authentic restaurant for the locals in Fogo ! Go to Fogo, have fun, do some trekking, and then, sit on the balcony of this beautiful home and enjoy watching from your Cove, the fishermen coming back to shore from the sea...

  • Fantastic super hosts made us feel comfortable in their beautiful, clean and cozy house. We enjoyed great conversations with Joyce and Harold while they served us fabulous breakfasts. They gave us all the privacy that we desired, and were available for anything that would make our stay better. We felt as if we made some new friends. We would recommended this place to everyone. • You’d be crazy note to stay here! Joyce and Harold are wonderful hosts and interacting with them truly made the experience for me. They are so fun to be around. They went above and beyond to ensure my experience was excellent. They gave me loads of advice for local activities, cooked me two amazing breakfasts, and were just as friendly as can be. The house is immaculate with every detail carefully considered. My only regret was not staying here longer! Thank you!

  • Dear Joyce and Harold, Thank you for sharing your stunning beach home with us for two nights! We felt like a king and queen the entire time, sleeping in plush clean seaside style bedding ( with ironed pillow slips :) and being serving decadent and delicious breakfasts both morning. The beach and sunsets will be in our memories forever. The excellence was in the details and the warmth we felt from your hearts. Wishing you continued happiness in all your adventures. • Beautiful bed and breakfast! The hosts put alot of thought into the details. The bed/sheets/pillows/towels/robes etc were all high quality and a pleasure to use. The room has a full private bathroom, which is very nice. The hosts were very welcoming and knowledgeable! We only stayed for one night unfortunately but would highly recommend and will probably return in the future for a longer stay. Thank you John and Addie! Ps. The breakfast was also fantastic!

  • Lovely heritage home with lots of amenities in a beautiful cove. Hosts are warm and friendly. A very inviting place to lay your head with the most comfortable beds and pillows I've encountered.

  • Fantastic B&B. Food was outstanding and the scones alone make it worth the trip. The hosts are extraordinarily friendly and helpful and we would definitely stay there again.

My place is as close to the beach as you can get with out being on the beach, great views, restaurants and dining, and art and culture. You’ll love my place because of the location, the outdoors space, the ambiance, and the people. My place is good for couples, solo adventurers, business travellers, and families (with kids).
Canada select 3 stars. This 100 year old plus home has all the convenience of a modern day home. But will also give you the feeling of days gone by, with lots of pictures of Twillingate in the 50's and 60's to show the way of life in Twillingate years ago next to home is a decade old cellar used one time for storing food in the winter months. Across the road is the north east united church built in 1868 and is now transformed into the Twillingate performing arts center. with in walking distance of boat tours, museums, convenience store's and craft shops.
  • Thank you Kevin and Karen for the pleasure of staying at Ches's cozy house on the sea! You have created an enduring family legacy by preserving your family home for others to enjoy. We had everything we needed here and more. Most special of all is being on the sea, the beautiful views and spectacular nearby hiking trails. We enjoyed all the photographs depicting life in this area over the years. You have created a warm and welcoming sojourn for your guests.

  • Kevin’s place is lovely—lots of charm and an absolutely incredible west-facing view of the ocean. He’s got lots of local info, plenty of room in the kitchen to cook, and is walking distance to boat tours, restaurants and a brewery. Great base from which to enjoy some beautiful hiking in Twillingate.

  • We really enjoyed the cozy cabin right by the sea. It was great to have Netflix and a good selection of DVD's too! The kitchen was well equipped and had some simple breakfast items like bread and bagels...

  • My family and I loved this place! Perfect location in a great town. The home was great, authentic Newfoundland house with a great view and right on the water. Better than we expected! Would definitely recommend to anyone!!

  • Great place! Very clean, comfortable and spacious! The view is breathtaking! Highly recommend:)

  • Kevin’s place has lots of character and has an incredible view over the water. I would definitely stay here again. The ceilings are very low, I’m just under 6 feet tall and had to watch around the doorways. I didn’t have any issues and really enjoyed the house, but if you are taller than 6 feet, you will have to watch your head.
