Great neighborhood with great neighbors! Quite lake with out all of hustle and bustle of a busy lake! You will be 5 miles from Interstate 31 to take you anywhere along Lake Michigan!
  • We had a lovely and relaxing few days at Kathy's home. Even in winter, the view of the lake and the sunset were beautiful and we loved having the hot tub to warm up in.

    Rolando2020-02-04T00:00:00Z
  • We had an amazing time here. Everything was super clean and we enjoyed our stay very much!

    Emily2020-01-26T00:00:00Z
  • Kathy was one of the best host I've ever had from Airbnb! The house was very clean and the kitchen was fully stocked with new cookware and plenty of cooking seasonings. My and friends and I took a couples trip and we couldn't have chosen a more spacious house to accommodate twelve people. There were even a few different games and puzzles provided at the house in which we took full advantage of playing. Overall I believe Kathy has earned the title of super host, she sent me a packet in the mail just a week prior to our reservation. The packet covered the rules of the house, how to work the different devices in the house, nearby restaurants, grocery stores, activities to do in town. I would recommend anyone who is looking for a nice place to stay in Michigan to book with Katy.

    Robin2020-01-20T00:00:00Z
  • The house was very spacious, clean, well decorated, and well stocked. Right on the water with a balcony overlooking the lake. The host was very informative and check in was effortless thanks to the welcome packet mailed in advance.

    Nicholas2020-01-05T00:00:00Z
  • Kathy was great! The kitchen comes completely stocked with all the seasonings and cookware you may need. There are so many sleeping surfaces. We had six grown adults in our group and no one had to share a bed. We appreciated the cozy fireplaces, all the blankets and bedding, the beautiful morning views, and the hot tub. We went to the state park for a hike in the winter which was both exhilarating and beautiful.

    Stephanie2019-12-08T00:00:00Z
  • Great views! Good vibes! And the lake was amazing even tho we could not swim because it was cold. Overall cleanliness of the house was good! The hot tub! AMAZING ! Just a good overall place to relax and unwind.

    Sarah2019-10-27T00:00:00Z
  • Everything was as advertised! Perfect trip for our family. Kathy was an awesome host!

    Tim2019-10-07T00:00:00Z
  • Kathy's place is everything you could want out of a lakehouse property and more! The watercraft and house amenities are many, the views from the house are spectacular!!! We will definitely be staying again!

Our charming bungalow is located walking distance from downtown Muskegon and Muskegon Lake. Enjoy the quiet neighborhood setting while being close to all of the action that downtown has to offer. Breweries, restaurants, shopping, and the farmers market all await. If downtown isn’t your scene, the bungalow is a quick drive to Pere Marquette beach on the shores of Lake Michigan. Large, uncrowded stretches of sandy beach are the perfect place for a relaxing day in the sun.
There is plenty of free on street parking in front of the house. No street parking in the winter months.
The Nims Neighborhood is centrally located along the coastline of Muskegon Lake, right near downtown Muskegon (a 10 minute drive from the Bungalow). Many beautiful older homes are located in Nims, as well as the Lakeshore Yacht Harbor, Waterfront Centre, Hartshorn Municipal Marina, and the Lakeshore Bike Trail. A handful of public beaches are located within a 10 minute drive. Check out our guide book below for our favorite places to visit in Muskegon.
  • Marilyn is so easy to get along with! She gave us some great tips on local sights to see and always responded quickly and helpfully if we needed anything. The house is adorable, full of history, and perfect for a quiet getaway.

    Samuel2020-03-20T00:00:00Z
  • Adorable, clean, and comfortable. Marilyn is a great host who responded quickly to all our question. We had a perfectly lovely stay.

  • Great place, and muskegon is awsome!

    Craig2020-03-05T00:00:00Z
  • This is a lovely, sunny home with beautiful touches and decorations everywhere. My wife and I had an extremely pleasant stay, and wound up spending much more time in the house than out of it – it was that comfortable and inviting. Would love to visit again! Marilyn also made it very easy to check-in and was very easy to communicate with, all the while leaving us to ourselves. Highly recommended.

    Kevin2020-03-01T00:00:00Z
  • It is a lovely little bungalow in the heart of Muskegon.

    Seth2020-02-23T00:00:00Z
  • Marilyn's place was perfectly cozy for a winter weekend away. The house was spotless and exactly as pictured. I wish we would have gotten the chance to use the quaint little sun room, but it would be a great getaway spot any season of the year!

The Hillside Cottage is a curated space to reset, reflect, and unwind. A great place to spend your days strolling the beach, fishing along the pier, sipping craft beer, or enjoying a delicious meal. Located just blocks off the water, our 1920s era cottage is nestled within the historic Lakeside neighborhood of Muskegon. A quick walk to grab ice cream, and just a bit further to restaurants, bars, and shopping. Best of all, the beach is just a five minute drive away.
Located at the top of the hill, you can look down the street for views of Muskegon Lake. Our charming 3 bedroom home has room for you and your friends or family. The bathroom and kitchen are freshly renovated with new floors, a custom tiled shower, and new countertops. All that Muskegon has to offer is just minutes away.
Lakeside is a historic neighborhood that offers access to shopping, bars, restaurants, and bike trails along the water. The Lake Express high-speed ferry to and from Milwaukee drops off passengers in Lakeside. A handful of public beaches are within a very short drive or a 30 minute walk. Check out our guide book below for our favorite places to visit in Muskegon. — Historic Note: Buster Keaton and his family spent summers at the Actors' Colony, a community of vaudeville actors that gathered during the summer when bookings were down. It was located just a 5 minute drive from the Hillside Cottage. "The best summers of my life were spent in the cottage Pop had built on Lake Muskegon in 1908." - Buster Keaton
  • The experience at Matt’s place was wonderful! It was a cute home that was a perfect size for me and my three family members. Matt had great communication and the location of the place was so close to the lake!

    Clay2020-03-15T00:00:00Z
  • If you have never been to Muskegon, it is not much of a winter town, but i am sure this place is popping in the summer beach season. it is about 2 miles from the beach and a short drive to the downtown area which is small, but unique and worth going to. The airbnb itself is a beautiful place, the interior design is amazing. The bathroom is really small, and would be hard if there is more than two or three people for an extended period of time, but it was fine for just a few days. There are also plenty of mirrors instead of just using the bathroom. Counter space in the bathroom and kitchen is minimal, but again it is fine short term. You get exactly what you see here. It was incredibly clean and comfortable.

    Gillian2020-03-12T00:00:00Z
  • Really nice Air BnB experience. We just wanted to get away for a couple of days and spend some time in a Michigan lake town we hadn’t been to before, write, and work. Matt’s place was perfect for what we needed. And the interior design of the house is so tastefully done that it soothed my senses just to be in it. Wonderful bed linens and extra blankets. Quiet & restful & clean. Would definitely stay here again if we’re back in the area.

    Carrie2020-03-07T00:00:00Z
  • We'll be back! The home is beautiful and exactly as pictured. The location was perfect. A quick trip over to the beach area and a very frosty Lake Michigan, convenient drive into the fun downtown shopping/eating/entertainment area and a short ride to the Muskegon Winter Sports Complex where we skated on the outdoor rink and were able to luge. If our trip were in the summer, you could easily bicycle to downtown. Great coffee and bath products were provided. Sheets and towels were excellent. We had to adjust our weekend plans just a bit because there wasn't quite as much snow as we expected, but Matt gave us a hand with some wonderful recommendations. 18th Amendment (great drinks and pizza) and Rebel Pie (live music). Shopping at the Farmers Market, the Cheese Lady, a fun "vintage" shop and Rad Dad's tacos and tequila made for a great afternoon before outdoor skating. Matt had great dinner and drink service for a stylish dinner in on Saturday night. Simple check in/out. Very nice stay!

    Paulette2020-03-01T00:00:00Z
  • The home was quaint, clean and decorated out of a magazine! The neighborhood was very quiet. We stayed the weekend and was about 20/25 minutes to Grand Haven and Muskegon Winter Sports Complex. We hope visit again in the summer!

    Nicole2020-02-23T00:00:00Z
  • Matt’s place was wonderful—SO CUTE! Very stylish, cozy & quaint. We really enjoyed our stay in his space! Stocked with many amenities too! I’ve yet to stay in a place that feels like “home” but Matt’s place totally changed that! Plenty in the area to do as well! Right near beautiful Pere Marquette beach, a few local bars & not too far from downtown Muskegon which has plenty to do for those 21+ & a beautiful farmers market. We did a quick overnight stay this winter but his place in the summer is a prime location! Highly recommend booking a stay!

    Maddy2020-02-14T00:00:00Z
  • Great place! The cottage was extremely clean and had everything we needed! It was right by the water, making it a perfect little weekend getaway.

    Katie2020-02-09T00:00:00Z
  • This is more house than cottage in a neighborhood setting. That being said, it is super cute and very cozy inside! Things I especially appreciated: comfortable beds, nice towels, easy check-in, record player, netflix + hulu, legit toilet paper, and fans left on each room. Best Airbnb stay yet!

  • Rebecca's place was great for our weekend getaway in Muskegon. If you are a fellow traveler who prefers to cook while away, this place is perfect. The kitchen is well stocked with pots and pans! The home is in a quiet neighborhood and isn't too far from Muskegon State Park and Hoffmaster State Park. We endured a beautiful snow storm during our stay and were pleased to wake up to shoveled sidewalks each morning. I would definitely stay here again! Thank you!

Such a quick walk to the beach, house had plenty of space and the kitchen was large and we were able to cook meals in it. Such a great place, I would love to come back in the summer!

A relaxing and private home to enjoy the beach, grill dinner, have a fire at night in the fire pit, or play pool in the basement. I am 20 minutes away if any questions or needs arise.
This is a beautiful log home. Sitting on the porch, in the morning, walking to the beach, fishing on the pier and enjoying an evening fire are some of the ways you can enjoy a reaxing, and wonderful vacation!
  • The cabin is beautiful and clean, and the setting is wonderful. Located in a woods just short ways off of Lake Michigan, the sounds of the lake and wind in the trees are serene. I woke up to see a fawn outside the bedroom window. It was a fine stay.

  • Cute place, pictures don't do it justice! Simple furnishings but we spent most of our time out at the campfire or walking to the cute swimming beach down the road. Stocked kitchen is a huge plus, able to crank out steaks on the grill, brownies, etc with no issues! Outdoor shower is a great addition and Marisa did a good job communicating.

    Alden2019-08-25T00:00:00Z
  • Had a great relaxing time at the cabin. Short drive or ~5 minute walk to Lake Michigan and the cabin is super peaceful in the woods. Would book again!

    Jason2019-08-20T00:00:00Z
  • The cabin in the woods is a beautiful log cabin that has a peaceful atmosphere. Great place to stay! Highly recommend

    Becky2019-08-10T00:00:00Z
  • Home away from home. Peaceful, comfortable, relaxing. Would stay again in a heartbeat.

    Barbara2019-07-27T00:00:00Z
  • This log cabin is a beautiful, relaxing oasis just a short walk or ride from the lake. We had a lovely stay and found the house to be both roomy and cozy with 6 people able to stay comfortably. The outdoor shower was a relaxing treat. We were in town for a family reunion, but felt like we could have spent our entire vacation relaxing in this uniquely decorated home, garden and surrounding woods. Marisa couldn’t have been more accommodating and responsive. We highly recommend this property and have already told family and friends about it for any future visits.

    Angela2019-07-21T00:00:00Z
  • We had a great stay! The house is beautiful and the town is lovely. The fully stocked kitchen was awesome!

ADDITIONAL DISINFECTION UPDATE: While we always do a thorough cleaning between guests, we are now doing an even more comprehensive disinfection of any high touch surfaces according to CDC guidelines. This is a beautiful, one-of-a-kind home fully restored by a master craftsman. Located on a quiet street only a short walk to downtown Whitehall & White Lake. Beautifully decorated, you will love relaxing inside or lounging on the secluded back deck.
If you are looking for a quiet getaway in beautiful home near downtown Whitehall, this is the place. This home was fully restored by a master craftsman - it has a ton of character and wonderful detail. Aside from the wonderful interior of the home, there is a back deck with overlooking a small pond and winding pathway through the backyard and garden. Downtown Whitehall is a short walk as is White Lake. Lake Michigan is about a 15 minute drive. You will truly enjoy staying at this one-of-a-kind home.
This is a very quiet residential neighborhood, but very nice area for a walk around the block or a short walk to White Lake. Downtown Whitehall is about a 15 minute walk.
  • Wonderful place, we enjoy our stay every time.

    Joe2020-03-03T00:00:00Z
  • Elliott's place served as an excellent base for our exploration of the Whitehall, Montague and North Muskegon areas. The neighborhood was quiet and felt safe, and the house was comfortable and well-appointed. The kitchen was well-stocked for cooking and eating, the beds were comfortable (flannel sheets were a welcome touch in February), and the upstairs TV area was nice and cozy. The WiFi worked well. Having a second sink outside the bathroom was very convenient for getting ready for the day. The back yard looked inviting for nicer weather occasions. Elliott was very responsive to questions. We would definitely stay here again if we were visiting the area.

    Steven2020-02-24T00:00:00Z
  • Everything about this place is just fantastic.

    Joe2020-02-10T00:00:00Z

  • Very nice little home in central Whitehall. Our visit was in mid November and an early snow had blanketed the area. The home was toasty warm on arrival! It's a nicely restored older 2 story home with unique touches in the woodwork & decorations. Really nice 👍

My house, built at the end of the 19th Century, could be best described architecturally as an Italianette, with stained glass and etched glass windows! Your private room is 5 minutes from downtown Muskegon, 20 minutes from Grand Haven, and 10 minutes from Lake Michigan!
The house is located on Lakeshoe Drive in the nieghborhood Nims, near the neighborhood of Lakeside. I have a view of Muskegon Lake and there is a bikepath just a minute away. The house is a short walk form the Lakeside Cafe on Laketon and is just a few minutes from Lake Michigan beaches!
  • Matthew has undoubtedly earned his status as a Superhost. He has left nothing to chance in ensuring a comfortable stay - a lovely and clean home, very conveniently located, and plenty of amenities. And you couldn't ask for a friendlier host! I will be looking to stay here again next time I am in Muskegon.

    Brian2020-03-13T00:00:00Z
  • Although this home is generational, it has nostalgia that is reminiscent of my great grandmother’s home. If you love an old home like I do, then the creaking wood floors, crown molding, 1950’s kitchen pulls and stained and etch glass windows will delight you as it did me. My daughter and I were welcomed by Matt and he made himself available to help us with anything we needed. When a need did arise, he was super quick to respond. My daughter and I felt safe and enjoyed the little time we were there. I would recommend Matt and his home as a delightful place to stay. It is not the Ritz, but if staying at grandma’s house makes you feel happy too, pick Matt’s.

    Hannah2020-02-23T00:00:00Z
  • A great place to stay. It is my second time as a guest and I will happily stay again and again. I highly recommend.

    Ian2020-02-12T00:00:00Z
  • Perfect stay for work in Muskegon. The home is easily accessible to most attractions by car. I was here in winter time so there is not much walkability, but I would imagine this would change in summer where a longer walk along the lakeshore is less daunting.

    Ryan2020-02-06T00:00:00Z
  • Great place close to downtown Muskegon. Friendly host and a great value.

    Adam2019-12-14T00:00:00Z
  • Matt is a great guy, and his abode is low-key, comfortable, ideal to relax in. He's knowledgeable about Muskegon and eager to help guests make the most of their stay. Also, his prices are very reasonable. Highly recommend!

    Henry2019-12-08T00:00:00Z
  • I was pleasantly surprised with the comforts and conveniences provided by Matt. His home is rich with character and interesting touches from the past century. Slept great and felt very welcomed. It's in a great location in between Pere Marquette Park on Lake Michigan and downtown Muskegon. Check out the restaurants in Matt's guide for nearby good places to eat.

Beach decor themed throughout. Pool table and tiki bar with dart board and mini fridge in the walkout basement.
Fishing enthusiast and lovers of wildlife, breathtaking views and more. Bald Eagles nearby you may even get a glimpse of their fishing efforts in crystal clear Wolf lake! Two paddle boards, canoe, rowboat and kayak available for rental upon request.
Very friendly lake house neighborhood however, It is advised to lock the home and cars when leaving the property.
  • Amazing sunsets and all the comforts you need. Her pictures do tell it all. Heidi is quick to respond to any questions. We stayed in the winter and can only imagine how fun it would be in the summer. Thanks, Heidi, for opening your home for others. It is a lovely place!

    Alison2020-03-02T00:00:00Z
  • Very comfortable, clean, cozy house. Great for a family vacation with lots of areas to kick back and hang out. All worth it.

    Matthew2020-02-18T00:00:00Z
  • Heidis place is very accommodating and she offers many extra amenities that I’ve never seen at other Airbnb’s. Lots of extra touches! The views are amazing. If you have small children, just remind them to be careful on the stairs but we didn’t have any issues. Lots of space. Not to mention the home is simply beautiful! Her home has inspired some future designing at our home...we definitely want to plan another stay.

    Courtney2020-02-17T00:00:00Z
  • Heidis place was wonderful! Everything was very accurate to her description and very clean! We had a group of friends that stayed there and were all able to fit comfortably in the space!

    Bryan2019-12-29T00:00:00Z
  • Heidi’s place was perfect for our family get away. The Christmas tree all lit up made us feel at home right away. The house has many spaces to for groups to spend time together without feeling crowded (we had 7 adults), we spent a lot of time in the open kitchen/living room and in the basement. The space was clean, had absolutely adorable touches, and had ‘necessities’ such as a full kitchen to cook. The view of the lake is absolutely gorgeous! The upstairs deck & walk out basement let us enjoy it easily. We’re hoping to return during the summer to enjoy the lake. Heidi was very helpful with any questions we had. Things to note (Minor but may be helpful): Uber eats isn’t available there yet but there are restaurants that deliver. The house is easy to find with GPS. The stairs are not carpeted so should be used slowly to avoid slipping - my family also might be clumsier than some, but young children may need a reminder to slow down on them. Overall, we LOVED our stay and highly recommend!

Enjoy our country chic home! We live minutes away from Lake Michigan and downtown Muskegon where there are shops and bars! We are located in a quiet neighborhood about 3 miles from multiple public beaches and 3.5 miles from downtown Muskegon. We have a private bedroom for you, and a shared bathroom. We do have a dog who is very friendly and can keep to herself.
Very friendly neighborhood. Great place to go for a run or walk. A few select bars and restaurants within walking distance.
  • The house is clean and attractively decorated. For a place to sleep you really can’t beat this! Mariah is very responsive and friendly. We felt very welcome to make ourselves at home in our room. We didn’t get to meet Josh. We should warn that if you like dogs, Bristol will steal your heart! We highly recommend this as an option for anyone who just needs a place to spend the night and wants to save money on accommodations. We’d far rather stay here than at a motel at twice the price. Nice neighborhood, close to many amenities!

My cabin is close to Muskegon River, Lake Michigan, and Michigan's Adventure park as well as across the street from a clean, sandy beach lake. You’ll love my place because of the coziness of a true log cabin. It is a great place for couples, solo adventurers, and families (with kids).
The kitchen comes fully stocked and ready to go. The only thing you will need to bring is the food. You will find: a stove/oven, coffee maker, microwave, toaster, and a fridge/freezer. Pots, pans, and utensils are provided as well. The living room has a window air conditioner and is furnished with bar stools and high-top table, two lazy boy chairs, pull out couch with a queen sized mattress, and a TV with DVD/VCR player as well as a stereo that plays CDs and cassette tapes. Sorry, no cable or wifi. The bunk bed room has a set of twin bunk beds, some closet space to store any clothing or materials you may bring in, as well as a built-in dresser. The master bedroom has a full sized extra long bed, a closet, and a built-in dresser. Both the master and the bunk bed rooms are log cabin with wood paneling finish to give a woodsy outdoors feeling. The bathroom is a full bath with a shower. Towels and washcloths are provided for up to six people.
This cabin is across the street from Little Sand Lake; an all sports lake, located at 4413 W. 124th Street, Grant, Michigan in Newaygo County. Little Sand Lake has two public boat launches that have a sandy bottom to swim at your own risk; just a short walk from the cabin. There are no docks
  • Everything went well and we appreciate the stay in Lance place. The house is located by a beautiful lake, frozen in winter. the location is great. the house has everything you need. I will go back there in summer. Nicolas

  • This was my second time here & was even better than the first. There were three of us there for a girls weekend. We each had a comfy seat, watched dvds & vhs, plenty of room to cook, & kitchen tools. It was nice to meet our hosts & have good conversation, but we also had an abundance of peace & quiet. One afternoon we went to Newaygo & enjoyed hitting bunch of little shops on the main street. We'll definitely be doing this again!

  • Amazing view of Lake Michigan from the cabin. A little obstructured by trees but you can see straight through to the lake from what's basically a wall of windows from within the cabin. Very serene. Bedrooms are a bit small, but outdoor space is great. Spacious kitchen/living room too. A bit tough to find in the dark, but well worth it.

  • The cottage was even better than expected based on the pictures and this was a great place for myself and my family to unwind. We especially loved the quiet location and the amazing beach views. On top of that, the hosts were very accommodating and responsive - thank you for a great week Jill and Rob!

  • Great location in the Muskegon area — the House is right on the water with amazing sunsets. This house is nicely laid out, with a full kitchen and a nice living room/dining area. And it’s VERY quiet — the loudest noise by far is from the birds.

  • This cottage was AMAZING! 3 of us stayed here for 2 nights and did not want to leave. Each morning we woke up, made coffee/tea, and headed out to the shared patio space that overlooked the lake. It was absolutely beautiful and relaxing. We ended our nights by grilling on the gas grill and sitting around the private fire pit listening to the waves of Lake Michigan. The beds were comfy, there was everything we needed to make a nice dinner, and the views were top notch!

    Rachel2019-06-02T00:00:00Z

"The Bear" is ready to welcome you to our basement. It is set up as a separate living space with a separate, private entrance and is newly updated. It includes a washer/dryer and has its own private bathroom with a shower. Kitchen with all cooking utensils and silverware with grill available on the deck. Wi-fi, cable, desk with the workspace. This would be a great place for an extended work rental as well. Michigan's Adventure, Blue Lake Fine Arts Camp, Aquastar Cruises, Silversides close.
The basement has been completely updated and is basically home, under a home. Also, we don't charge an additional cleaning fee. We expect our guests to be respectful of our home and know that you don't want to be charged additional fees.
Our large, spacious home is close to the expressway, so additional travel is just a quick trip. This area is not set up for walking, but there is a bike path nearby that allows extensive biking to the downtown area. The neighborhood is safe and quiet, especially during the summer months. We are located near a high school which impacts traffic in the neighborhood during school days but the space is extremely quiet.

Tucked away in historic Bluffton neighborhood, my home is a 5 to 10 minute walk to Pere Marquette Beach on Lake Michigan. Opposite direction, you will be on the bank of Muskegon Lake where you can drop your kayak or paddle board in for a cruise. If you have a boat, there is a public launch less than a mile away as well as a public bike trail along Muskegon Lake that leads to downtown. Finally, Third Coast Cottage is a 30 min drive to Michigan Adventure and the Winter Sports Complex.
The house is outfitted for 7 guest with three bedrooms. Two bedrooms have queen size beds, while the third offers two seperate singles. The den downstairs acts as a sleeping space with a single sofa sleeper. The kitchen acts as a dining and gathering space with a large island. There is a full bathroom upstairs and a half bath just off of the side porch. The washer and dryer are located just off the kitchen. The backyard offers plenty of space within this small neighborhood. It has a large fire pit and offers nice privacy to relax. Finally, house broken canine family members are very welcomed. Please clean up after them outside as well as inside.
Bluffton is a historic neighborhood known as the Actors Colony. In the early 20th century it was the vacation spot for Buster Keaton, a silent film star, and many other performers of that time. There is a walking tour held that highlights this era and the people who lived in the neighborhood which can be found online.
  • This is a great place for those wanting large common areas (kitchen, living room areas) where people can gather comfortably. The outside space looked really great too (because it was winter, our outdoor use was limited). Very close proximity to the lake. Christmas lights, a decorated tree, and Christmas mugs all added the personal touches that made it a special visit. The kitchen was well stocked to meet cooking and serving needs, and very spacious so that the whole family could get involved. We appreciate a host who also welcomes our family pets. (:

  • Brian's place was a fantastic value. The pictures don't do it justice for how large the home is and how much space there is for everyone. We rented the house for a place for my siblings and I to come together for Christmas and we were pleasantly surprised to find the home decorated for Christmas including a Christmas tree. Will definitely consider renting again if we return to the area.

  • My friends and I really liked this house. Convenient and quiet location. The house is clean and it has everything you need for living and recreation.

  • We couldn’t say enough good things about this house! From how clean it was, to how close it was to the lake, to how well it was stocked and how comfortable the beds were. It exceeded expectations! Perfect for a staycation in the cold weather with the girls and I definitely would love to be back in the summer!!

    Kristen2019-11-03T00:00:00Z
  • A fantastic getaway! Location was amazing and close to outdoor hiking spots. Clean, and beautiful, the house is great for a large family or just two people. Extremely accommodating host with firewood and anything you need for outdoor activities in the backyard. Beds were like clouds and so cozy! Highly recommend!

    Ryan2019-10-28T00:00:00Z
  • We loved our stay at Third Coast Cottage! The house is beautiful and the decor makes it so warm and inviting, it felt like home for the two nights we were there! The backyard is amazing. We loved the fire pit, lights, picnic table, etc. This place was perfect for our fall getaway and the surrounding area is so beautiful. If we're ever back in Muskegon we know where we'll be staying!!

    Jessica2019-10-20T00:00:00Z
  • Very large home with lots of little extras. Kitchen and bathroom were very well stocked and beds were super comfy! Highly recommend

Quiet little shoreline neighborhood in Muskegon's best area, Norton Shores. Very close to the beach and the only dog beach in Michigan on Lake Michigan. The cities best restaurants located along the new Lakeside corridor are barely a mile away and the bike trail that covers the entire state is right there.
  • We love staying there. They are great hosts that very accommodating to their guests. Looking forward to many more stays with them on future trips to muskegon

  • This location was very beautiful, clean and located near a number of great restaurants and activities. Behind the property is also a lovely wooded area filled with a number of wonderful animals. We had seen a family of deer lingering in the area directly behind the home throughout the entirety of our trip. 10/10 would recommend a stay here!

    Michael2020-02-23T00:00:00Z
  • Nice, quiet neighborhood and friendly hosts. Near the lakeshore and accessible to several parks. This rental was well suited to the price.

    Ryan2020-02-21T00:00:00Z
  • Peaceful, quiet and clean! Super experience and loved seeing the deer :)

    Suzanne2020-02-17T00:00:00Z
  • Catherine’s place was as described - very comfortable spacious place in a quiet neighborhood. Convenient location to the beach and to town. Added bonus was a beautiful snowfall as three deer grazed outside the yard just beyond the fence.

    Sharon2020-02-10T00:00:00Z
  • The owners are very nice. They live next door so their response time is quick. We went to the area to celebrate my husband’s birthday and Luge at the state park. The day before our arrival Muskegon State Park had to cancel the Luge due to weather. Dave offered many other things to do in the area to make the best of our trip.

    Sherry2020-01-27T00:00:00Z
  • Just a really nice, sweet place to stay if you find yourself in the area. MUST STAY for dog owners, incredible backyard. There was a squirrel back there that my dog wanted to hassle and they got rid of it right away; it snowed and they cleared a path to my car, just really nice great hosts.

    Josh2020-01-24T00:00:00Z
  • The hosts were always available for questions and offered many things to improve our stay. The place is huge, 2 adults and three kids weren’t even close to fully occupying the space! Absolutely excellent features, and beautiful property.

The place was pristine & lovely, and Scott was a terrific and communicative host. We loved every minute of our stay and look forward to visiting again!!

  • Great place! As others have said, the pictures were accurate and the natural beauty of the property and area are special. It was a stressful 5 day stay as I was helping my sister declutter her home for sale. It was good to come back to Cody's suite, it's calm green paint color and clutter-free space was just what I needed. I liked having my own entrance, as I didn't disturb anyone with my coming/going. The value was so good, so so much better than a hotel. As I may be in there are again to help my sister, I sure hope Cody's place is available. The natural beauty of the Muskegon River and this property are great. As I was here in February, I didn't really get to enjoy it. I'm more of a warm weather outdoor person than winter. Thanks again, Cody!

    Rosie2020-02-22T00:00:00Z
  • Cody's "Not Your Mother-in-law's Suite was perfect in every way. I stayed here while in the area for work and it was extremely clean and very open, which I am a fan of. And they made check in super simple! I would recommend this place to anybody.

  • We had such a great stay here for a relaxing winter weekend away! My husband LOVED being able walk out the door and be steps away from fishing! They had a great setup inside and streaming services inside for a relaxing movie day. The place was clean, very spacious, and the beds were comfortable. They had nice touches to make us feel very comfortable and help with a few things we forgot. Checkin was easy with details to make it seamless. We met Cody and he was helpful with local recommendations, too! We can’t wait to come back!

**Mahalo homes has been closely following the current situation with COVID-19. The safety and comfort of our guests, as well as our community is always our top priority. That said, we have extended our length between guest visits to 72 hours and initiated Airbnb's recommended cleaning policies to ensure our home allows you to relax and enjoy.
Our island inspired boutique bungalow is located walking distance from Muskegon Lake and just a ten minute bike ride to the beach. Enjoy the quiet neighborhood of Lakeside while being close to all of the action that downtown has to offer. Breweries, restaurants, shopping, and the farmers market all await. (Check out our guidebook below for year round activities!) Our fully renovated two bedroom home has room for you and your friends or family (including pups). The entire home has been renovated with a boutique kitchen, a custom tiled shower, and beautiful sunroom - perfect while you sip your delicious pour over coffee. All that Muskegon has to offer is just minutes away.
Our favorite thing about our location is our proximity to the beach. Just a 15 minute bike ride (8 minute drive) to Pere Marquette Park (the beach) and a 15 minute ride (9 minute drive) to downtown, we really are nestled in the best neighborhood in town. Lake Effect Sport offers bike rentals and are just a 3 minute walk from our place. Bikes are $20 a day or $30 for an e-bike (super fun ).
  • We had a phenomenal stay. The house was extremely clean and so cute. Samantha left sweet personal touches that made us feel very welcome and comfortable. We are already hoping to go back, especially when there is warmer weather. I would recommend Samantha's place to anyone visiting Muskegon.

  • We hated to leave! This was such a stylish, clean & cozy home in a safe and quiet neighborhood. We appreciated all the the excellent information and local tips Samantha provided prior to our stay and we loved that we were welcomed into her home with treats not only for us, but for our dog too. The home was immaculate and the decor, toiletries, linens and amenities were very upscale...we especially loved the fancy Chinese checker board! Can't wait to stay here again, thank you for providing a relaxing & dog friendly environment for our weekend getaway!

  • We loved our stay here. The house is super clean and very stylish. Has lots of games to play, and cute touches. Loved the attention to detail in this place. We also loved the location. It is close to beaches and restaurants. We would love to come again.

  • Clean and spacious feeling with nice decor!

    Mary2019-12-30T00:00:00Z
  • You wont be disappointed in The Mahalo home! Our family has stayed in a dozen different Airbnb locations throughout the country and we were most impressed with this one. The host was responsive and informative throughout the booking process. She answered our questions and made suggestions to make sure we were comfortable even before we walked in the door. The space itself was an incredible value. The living room, kitchen, common area, dining room, bathroom and both bedrooms gave us plenty of room. There is a front porch area, side deck, and even a small yard with seating. Private parking and additional street parking made entry and exit easy. Every household item you could ever need was provided. The kitchen was fully stocked with everything you would need to cook a full meal. The bedrooms had linens, extra blankets, extra pillows, and plenty of storage space. The bathroom had extra towels, plenty of toiletries, and a very nice shower experience. HOWEVER, the thing that sets this Airbnb apart from the others is the attention to detail. Not only was the home SPOTLESS, but it is obvious that the host put considerable effort into making the stay an incredible experience for our family. X-Factor: The quality of everything in the house was amazing. Spa like bath towels, expensive soaps and lotions, quality dishes, chef worthy cookware, high thread count linens, modern appliances, well built furniture. Even the mats on the floor were high quality. These were just a few examples and I'll leave some additional things out so that you can be as pleasantly surprised as we were. Sincerely, The Starcher Family P.s. Quit looking for another home in this area. I did ALL the research and can assure you... this is the best value in Muskegon

  • What a great stay at a great price. Gary has done an amazing job of rescuing an old place and giving it new life and retaining its character. He was very attentive to our needs and yet we had privacy. Location is great and it was quiet. Place was clean and way better value and character than a hotel. More people should give this place a try and he is very clear about what to expect. We will be back.

  • What a treasure! There are so many positive things about Jordan's place that it's hard to know where to begin. The location is secluded and quiet BUT not far from any needed services like stores or restaurants. The sunrises on Wolf Lake are AMAZING! Jordan is absolutely fantastic about communicating and that's a nice feature considering so many places just ignore you once you've paid. The kitchen is extremely well stocked with high quality cutlery, service wear, etc. Beds are super comfortable and there's lots of space to spread out. The additional refrigerator / microwave / table in the lower level were perfect for our writing group that likes to have their own little creative areas. Extremely clean and fresh too. Ample parking for those coming in multiple cars (big bonus). We don't often return to the same place for our annual writing retreat, but after 15 years, Jordan's place will definitely be on our list for next year (fingers crossed it's available). LOVED IT, LOVED IT, LOVED IT!

  • Wow, Jordan and Ashley's place on Wolf Lake is nothing short of amazing! While I can't speak to lake activities since we stayed in the winter, the house was cozy, comfortable and immaculately clean and the surroundings were tranquil and stunning. Our gaming group of 13 had plenty of room, and the space came equipped with everything we needed, and more. While we didn't get a chance to meet the hosts, Jordan was incredibly responsive and helpful. Can't recommend this gem enough - and hopefully we'll be back!

  • Great house for a group, plenty of spaces for games, cooking, eating, and relaxing. Thanks for an awesome weekend!

  • Our family enjoyed a wonderful winter getaway weekend at the Mid Century Modern Lake House! Our goal was to enjoy time together, relax, play games, watch movies and football, and make great memories together. That goal was achieved in this lovely and well maintained home. We’d love to return when we are able to enjoy the lake. Jordan and Ashley were excellent hosts!

14' x 16' private cabin by the lake. Double Murphy bed and set of bunk beds. Electricity. Water fountain, camping toilet, heated outdoor shower. Shared outdoor kitchen (see pictures) with full size refrigerator, microwave, 2-burner hot plate, coffee maker, toaster, outside grill with burner element, table/chairs, fire pit. Space heater for night chill, fan for air movement. Wildlife, watercraft (2 2-person kayaks, row boat, pedal boat), shared hot tub, yard games. Good value lakeside getaway.
The Lodge is perfect for a small group or family willing to trade economy for space. It is not handicap accessible. The hillside is long and fairly steep down to the lake where The Lodge is located (see pictures). The Lodge shares the lake level amenities with The Glamp, if in use. These include the "inside" outdoor kitchen and grill. Other outdoor amenities including the hot tub up at the house, yard games, tree fort, gardens, etc., are shared among all guests including those in the main house. Note that no meals are included with the rental of The Lodge.
See pictures for some of the featured local attractions. You will also find assorted brochures, guides, etc. for local attractions and restaurants. The immediate neighborhood, i.e. the Six Crows community, comprises The Glamp (also sleeps up to 4) and The Lodge down by the lake, which share the outdoor kitchen/shower, and lakeside fire pit; and three rooms in the main house. These include The World Room (sleeps up to 3); The Flowers Room (sleeps up to 2); and The Masters Room (sleeps up to 2). Many if not all spaces are often rented during weekends in the high season, so expect high activity. Mid-week is generally quieter and at times very quiet. All guests share in the use of the hot tub (first come first serve, but guests often share - it seats up to 8 people); the watercraft, yard games, and other amenities around the property.
  • What a great place for a weekend getaway! We loved every minute of our stay at Linda’s place. Linda and Dave were outstanding hosts and we will definitely be back. Thanks for the great hospitality

  • Great hospitality, friendly hosts, beautiful scenery. We'll be back soon!

  • I got this place on a whim for a weekend to get some alone time for a project, and it's the best idea I've had in a while. Though there was no desk in the lodge, I makeshifted one out of an end table and read outside. The lodge itself was clean and cute and the blankets were warm. Mattress was firm and very comfortable. The coffee maker inside the lodge was a great touch. My dog LOVED running around the garden. I really appreciated how the host coordinated among guests who might have been bringing dogs (though I ended up being the only one), and the lake was super peaceful. Great place - I would definitely do this again.

  • What a great visit! Beautiful location, quiet and the lake right at your doorstep. I wasn’t sure what to expect with the outdoor kitchen and shower, but it wasn’t bad at all and was kept clean during my entire visit. Great amenities such as kayaks and boats, fire pits, and more are available for use. Great host who kept in contact with me on my day of arrival. Looking forward to another and hopefully longer stay.

  • Linda was a GREAT Host and her husband was also GREAT... we loved our lil cottage and it’s simple but terrific amenities. Had a wonderful time for 3 nights!

  • The Lodge was a perfect retreat for us to enjoy during our Michigan Getaway! The property was amazing and quiet and comfortable. We loved the dock and having access to the outdoor kitchen and hot tub. Very comfortable with the perfect amount of rustic flared. And it was so close to town where we could access Lake Michigan beaches, hiking trails, and all the you-pick blueberry fields we could stand. Would definitely recommend!

    Destinee2019-08-18T00:00:00Z
  • The Lodge is lakeside and I loved the cool murphy bed! Felt like my private cabin on the water. So relaxing!

    Jennifer2019-08-04T00:00:00Z
  • Great property with pretty lake setting. Cozy private cabin on the shoreline was wonderful. • I live on the road, hotels for work, and AirBnB for my time off. The Depot, is my absolute favorite AirBnB so far!! It's gorgeously decorated, conveniently located, and the most comfortable bed, I've ever slept in! I can't wait to wander back, just to stay there again!!

    Stephen2020-03-15T00:00:00Z
  • Very quaint and adorable spot. The door is tricky but great assistance to help us quickly. A little disappointed in the road noise. Was a little loud. Jerri was great with any questions.

    Debra2020-02-16T00:00:00Z
  • Do yourself a favor and stay at the Depot. You will not be disappointed!

    Amy2020-02-15T00:00:00Z

  • Very comfortable house that is spacious enough for our large family. One of the best views of Lake Michigan is just down the street. Cant wait to return.

  • Kathryn’s space was everything we expected and more! It was very close to the beach, which would be a very fun area to go visit in the summer. We loved having a fire at night in the outdoor fire pit and getting cozy and watching tv when it was rainy during our stay. Would recommend anyone to stay here!

    Laurie Ann2019-10-27T00:00:00Z
  • We traveled to Muskegon for the Grand Rapids marathon from Minneapolis. Our group was five adults and two kids under 6. Kathys beach house was great for our group. The four bedrooms were very comfortable and it was a particular bonus to have the additional living space downstairs for the kids. Another nice extra was having a bathroom on every floor. We travel quite a bit and typically stay in AirBnbs. I’m typically pretty critical of kitchens and, while a little small, Kathys kitchen was well appointed. It really had everything we needed. The value was really outstanding. Thanks for a great stay Kathy!

    Jessica2019-10-23T00:00:00Z
  • Kathryn’s place was picture perfect. It was clean, came with a welcome card and chocolates, a local guide, coffee for the weekend, and every detail made just like home! And it was affordable to stay! Would highly recommend staying here.

  • A beautiful home with plenty of bedrooms and bathrooms super close to the lake. A wonderful option for any large group wanting to get away to the lakeshore! The home was beautifully clean with plenty of space for our large group of 9 adults to spread out! I would definitely recommend this home to anyone wanting to escape to the lake!

    Emily2019-09-29T00:00:00Z
  • Great place, very hospitable host, nice touch. Really enjoyed the outdoor fireplace.

    Jay2019-09-27T00:00:00Z
  • We stayed at Kathryn’s place to play golf, join half marathon, and go to fishing salmons. The host is really nice and kind, the place is clean, quiet and nice place, the location is also great near a lake! We enjoyed and had the great time there! We would definitely recommend Kathryn’s place if you would plan to go to Muskegon or near there!

    Kazuya2019-09-22T00:00:00Z
  • We loved being within walking distance from the beach! Kathy provided towels, chairs, and a cooler for us to use, as well as beach toys that my girls loved playing with. Great place!

Beautiful 4 bedroom home with public access to White Lake (White Lake connects to Lake Michigan). Near the Hart/Montague bike trail (walking distance), close to Michigan's Adventure and to two public beaches on Lake Michigan. Plenty of sleeping space (4 beds, 4 couches), large backyard with a fire pit that backs up to Gee Park, a small public park. Quaint, quiet neighborhood; it's all here! Lovely fireplace, claw foot bathtub, 3 season room and a full kitchen. Our nest is the best!
Our place is warm and cozy. It was built in 1903. It has many quirks and loads of charm! It's a big 'ol house filled with love. It's relaxing and homey, pretty and comfortable.
Ride on the Hart/Montague bike trail, walk down to White Lake, walk or bike to town with ice cream shops, small town stores Wesco, Subway, and a few local restaurants. We also have a charming theater in town, The White Lake playhouse. Two parks accessible on the bike trail, including Goodrich Park (a hometown gem!) also a beautiful public library on the bike trail, public boat launch nearby. Whitehall, MI is lakeside living at it's best!
  • Melissa is a thoughtful host with a very cute home. We had everything we needed and then some. The home had plenty of room for our family. We enjoyed our stay back in our home town.

    Rick2020-02-23T00:00:00Z
  • The home is super cute, has tons of space, great location to the lakes. We loved the fenced in back yard for our dogs that came with us and we saw deer running in the side yard while having breakfast one morning! We had 6 adults and 1 little one and never felt cramped. The little sitting rooms everywhere made it nice to relax and the fire place was amazing when it was chilly! Would definitely return!

    Andrea2020-02-17T00:00:00Z
  • Very clean and cozy place to stay! Very close to all that Whitehall/Montague offers. Would stay again!

  • A very warm and inviting home. A quiet and very low traffic area as well. One thing I would suggest is that if your going to use the Winter Complex in the area call ahead and make sure it's open. Also great communication with the owner.
