“The Table still has arguably the best brunch and lunch (not to mention coffee) in the area. Beloved by locals and office workers, the food here is all about the holy lunch trinity of soups, salads, and sandwiches. There’s also a changing daily special on the menu and a nice list of burgers, and though it’s always busy, it gets a little quieter in the afternoon. True to its function as a local lunch spot, The Table shuts at 4.30pm most days. ”

“This is a fantastic gastro pub - you get a combination of traditional English pub, really nice food and a fantastic view of the river Thames and St Paul's Cathedral. You can take a walk along the river before or after. I recommend walking all the way down from Waterloo to enjoy everything the Southbank has to offer and all the other views and vibrant activity along the way!”

“Have eaten here a few times now and can highly recommend this place if you're more adventurous and authentic with your Chinese food (don't think Cantonese!) My go to is a 'real' Gung Bao chicken, not the ones from many a standard chinese takeaway. Or even try the crab or "fish fragrant aubergine". It's popular with Mainland Chinese students living close by and also offers lunchtime specials. Quality is better than Culture Grub and slightly more expensive. Don't be afraid of dishes piled high with red hot chillis, it's only for flavouring it seems but I do eat them :-)”
