Places to stay in New York
Downtown, the best bit of Manhattan. One of, if not the, LARGEST space on Airbnb in NYC. Your Own PRIVATE Bathroom & PRIVATE Bedroom, a Terrace off the bedroom, near to subways/buses, restaurants, bars, real luxury right in the middle of things. Just read our 400+ 5-STAR REVIEWS and you will see why we are SUPER-HOSTS and why you will just love this place, like other guests, I promise. Si, hablo bien espanol, Français parlé assez bien.
Downtown Manhattan, .. just like you see it in the films. Only so much better in real life !! All the details are below so that will see all that you will experience on your trip to the Big Apple - there are lots of things you will love when you stay here, but PLEASE PLEASE (did I say please?) try to read all the way to the end of the description, including sleeping arrangements, information on the area, getting around and the frequently asked questions. I know it is a bit of a novel, but it is well worth it and, from experience, it makes sure you understand everything in detail and ensures you will have the best stay that you can. Anything at all that you are not sure about, if you are new to Airbnb for example, just ask and I will get back asap and clarify. • Very spacious loft apartment ( about 2000 sq feet, 188 sq m, at last measure - so very BIG for New York) in the center of arguably the coolest area of the city (please do not argue ), modern, minimalist furniture , very open, very clean, I take great pride in having a spotless living environment (that goes for the host too). A Massive space that gets flooded with light via a wall of windows. Just take a look at the pictures. High security. Walking distance to subways & museums. Friendly building and very safe neighborhood. • Your own PRIVATE bathroom - Large, spacious, with Jacuzzi Bath, Shower, Hairdryer, Kohler fixtures. Fresh towels etc. Fully-stocked. All the shampoo and things you will ever need. Just for you. • Your own PRIVATE bedroom - Queen Bed for 2, firm and soft pillows for every type of sleeper, linens, towels, Large Flat Screen TV, Netflix, Amazon TV etc, Wardrobe. Again only for you. • Large kitchen - Open concept with an area to eat and with everything you need to design a gourmet feast, top of the line GE appliances, Microwave, Toaster, Kettle , Dishwasher, stainless steel counter top etc. Make any food you want - if it is really good, give me some. Make coffee there in the morning - always available -- you have your very own little coffee bar. • Very large living area, Real Fireplace, WiFi, Surround sound HDTV with HDMI hook-up and Roku TV, Bose sound system with iPhone/iPod hook-up, the best choice in music (in my opinion, most not consulted). Sit.... Enjoy • Large dining area - seats lots, great views over the city and over the Williamsburg Bridge. Eat foods mentioned above (probably while seated, although one can never be sure). • Natural brick walls (as opposed to unnatural I suppose) and a lovely Merbeau wooden floor, both of which look good (but don't say much). • Floor to ceiling windows throughout - bathed in sun (when the sun is out, mainly, of course) • Outside secluded seating area and balcony - you access directly from your room - very secluded (sometimes I cannot find it) • Full air conditioning / heating in the room and in rest of loft - be hot, be cool (most likely one at a time) • Bosch Washer and Dryer - for you to use - we like to reserve that for guests who stay for 3 nights or longer - being kind to the world too, we try to use cold water as well where possible. • Keyed Private elevator entrance directly into Loft - of course you have your own key (or stairs if u have the energy - does not seem so popular, strangely) • Printer / Scanner available. Pens and paper too, if you are a traditionalist.(although we draw the line at camel hair brushes, I'm sure you understand). And there is a universal power adapter for you to use to charge your gadgets too. • The building is a very smart development, a recently renovated 7-story apartment block with original brick facade, great views of the city skyline. Quiet, lovely, village feel, with parks and pedestrian areas just outside, but close enough to get anywhere very easily. I think I am allowed to say it is authentic. • This is a very large and comfortable space that you will be free to enjoy as you wish (this is your vacation after all). You will have lots of privacy and as well as the city, you have Books, Music (great as mentioned above), Roku TV with lots of channels and an online DVR and more .... or just relax and chat. Up to you. We provide the following publications too New York Times New York Magazine so you can feel a bit like a New Yorker • Located in the heart of Downtown - food (some of the best in the city), drink, fun, shopping all very, very close. A very cool residential neighborhood just a short trip to all the action. Perfect location for exploring both sides of the river too, as very close to Brooklyn and Williamsburg. One of the most historic neighborhoods in the U.S. (perhaps the most). We are only a few minutes away from the walkway along the East River, it has a great view of the Brooklyn bridge and Manhattan Bridge. Nearly opposite the Tenement Museum (which is really great). TV, Film and general interest media all the time (become a star - or an extra anyway) ,music clubs and comedy left right and center and Alphabet City, Ludlow Street , East Village, Chinatown and Soho all in spitting distance - and I can not spit far. Direct Access to cabs just outside building. • Food shopping wise, it is 3 blocks from a Whole Foods and a couple of blocks from the Essex Street Market. Great food shopping if you want. I hope everything is covered - email if you need more information. I hope to see you soon and I hope I can be part of your visit to this unique place.
Best neighborhood in Manhattan for independent coffee shops, cozy wine bars, up-and-coming restaurants (the area has 4 out of the top 10 best places to eat in this years NY magazine list) , intimate music venues, and interesting owner-operated shops. Like no other area in the city. A very peaceful cool neighborhood, yet just a short trip to all the action. Check out the "Guidebook" with my listing -- I send a much longer one that I have written directly to guests that do decide to stay before they get here - and they love it, mention it often in their reviews and keep asking for extra copies!!
  • Carol and Marc greeted us as if we were old friends and sort of gave us their wonderful loft to share and enjoy. That was far from difficult. It is a beautiful place with a lift that opens into the living room. Very chique! The loft has lots of windows showing you New York and making you feel like a Newyorker yourself. The neighbourhood is fantastic, full of unique shops (my new shoes are incredible) and special places to eat. Easy to find with the extensive list your hosts provide. Walking around you bump into everything in just about 5 to 10 minutes. Two cinemas at arms length. The room is just right with a great bed and a big wardrobe to fill up. You have your own spacious bathroom with toilet which is extremely convenient. We left knowing we will be back rather sooner than later.

  • We had a wonderful stay at the home of Carol and Marc in a part of Manhattan that is well served by public transportation and close enough to many neighborhoods to go walking to them. Such well known places as SOHO, Chinatown, Little Italy, Alphabet City, the East Village, the Ukranian neighborhood, etc., etc., are all a relatively short stroll away. The diversity of cultures and cuisines and languages so nearby Carol and Marc’s apartment is truly mind boggling and an education to experience. Carol and Marc made us feel right at home from the moment we arrived. They showed us our private living quarters, complete with our own bathroom and outdoor patio, and individually controlled thermostat for heating and cooling. The bathing facilities even include a Jacuzzi whirlpool bath. Marc is a great conversationalist and someone who can entertain guests simply with his mastery of the English language and his world knowledge, including great insight into what makes the City of New York so special and unique. Carol was always there when we needed to ask her advice and to show us around the apartment. She was a great hostess, allowing us our privacy when we needed it and yet helpful whenever circumstances required her assistance. The bed in the bedroom was super comfortable, a great place to recover from the day’s activities in the big city. We were allowed to fix coffee in the morning and prepare whatever meals we wanted to in the shared kitchen. Laundry facilities are also available to guests. We should not forget to mention that Carol in particular deserves a 100% ratings for responsiveness on the AirBNB website. In summary, great hosts in a central location with a superb apartment in the premier city of the world today.

  • Carol and Mark were incredibly welcoming and made extra efforts to ensure that I was able to find their home without difficulty and that they would be there for my arrival. My bedroom and bathroom were clean, spacious, and comfortable, and the rest of their home--which I was welcome to use--was as well. They even made the extra effort, providing me with an iron and board, telling me of a jogging route, and letting me know about local amenities. Two thumbs up!

  • Five out of five stars for Carol and Marc's LES loft!! These guys are truly super hosts!! This was my second time staying with them and they did not disappoint. Their place is cool, hip and clean. Very spacious and private. Love the large windows and natural sunlight. We loved the neighbourhood. So many good restaurants around. I almost don't want to tell people how amazing this place is because I want to be able to stay there again! Carol and Marc are very generous, kind and caring people. They also have a great sense of humour. I would call them my friends. They really make you feel at home.

  • Carol and Marc were very helpful hosts who were happy to share their knowledge of the city and keep me right regarding the correct subway routes to take until I found my feet. The apartment was very easy to find (despite an initial wrong turn!) and in a great location surrounded by lovely bars and restaurants (in fact a friend if mine from Brooklyn described it as his favourite neighbourhood!) which are detailed in the helpful guidebook provided. The room was very comfortable and I was free to come and go as I pleased. I'd definitely stay here again.

  • We had a lovely 8 night stay with Carol and Marc. Their appartment is even better than in the photos. Our double room had plenty of storage space and the bed was really comfy. They even changed the sheets and towels mid way through our stay. The bathroom was very clean, big, stylish and we had it all to ourselves. Wifi connection was also great throughout the flat. The location of the flat is perfect. Lots of interesting shops, cafes, bars and good coffee are nearby as well as Essex Market (fresh fruit, cereal, milk, etc). There are subway stations for 3 different lines within 5 minutes walk and SOHO, little Italy, china town and Nolita are all within 10-15 minutes walk. Carol and Marc were extremely helpful with tips and advice and would readily offer their opinions and personal experiences. We couldn't have asked for better hosts and would happily stay there again. • We had an absolutely fantastic time staying at Carol and Marc's lovely apartment. They made us feel so welcome and it really was a home from home. If we get chance to go back to NYC in the future we will most definitely stay with them again. Don't hesitate in booking you won't be disappointed. X

It's just fun stepping away to outside. Everything you can see in Soho is here. Not only that, train E and C is literally across the street, and extremely convenient. • It was An excelent time. Elle is a lovely woman. She make's you feel like home. 100% recomendable. And soho it is the best Area in Manhattan. We hope to came again.

  • Perfect location! All the food and shopping you could want at your feet, and a subway stop right across the street. Elle was a wonderful host. If you've never stayed in NYC don't expect spacious accommodations, but this is the perfect place to sleep, shower, and keep your stuff. If you have stayed in the city then this apartment is exactly what you'd expect. We will definitely be back and stay here again. Thank you for your hospitality Elle!

  • Best Manhattan Airbnb for your money, time & any personal/business trip.

  • Elle is very nice and helpful, and comfortable space!

    Kamri2018-10-28T00:00:00Z
  • Very good person, very thoughtful and talkative! Very pleased to live there for two days short trip !

    William2017-12-15T00:00:00Z
  • Elle's place was conveniently located and affordable, but overall was a bit disappointing. Check in was convenient and easy - and yes, it's up three flights of stairs, welcome to New York. I didn't really see the host, but she was friendly and nice the few things we said to each other. The bed was extremely comfortable, but the room is essentially just that - the bed. Shared bathroom was fine - hot water, towels, etc. However the rest of the apartment was pretty messy and looked like it hadn't been cleaned in a while. It was fine for one night, but there's really no common space. If you're just there to sleep, it's great. Anything else, I'd look elsewhere.

    Cameron2018-07-27T00:00:00Z
  • I met Elle in person briefly only as she was out of town for most of my stay; however she was wonderful at communicating with me about my trip and accommodation details prior to my arrival. The location of her apartment was fantastic; an area so lively and full of shopping, dining and plenty of things to do and subway stations are plentiful everywhere. Soho is a beautiful neighborhood and also within walking distance to Little Italy and China Town and you can walk just about everywhere from Elle's place. Her apartment is exactly as the pictures show it; very small but can definitely accommodate 2 people; however it is well maintained and very clean. The bathroom was spotless and the water pressure was great! This was my first airbnb experience and I would definitely do this again . Thanks Elle !

You will be warmly welcomed into our nice and clean Nolita home, super centrally located, walking distance to everything fabulous!! This property has 2 guest bedrooms fitting up to three guests comfortably. note: the apartment is on the 5th floor of a walk-up and cash cleaning fee is paid upon arrival not included in the booking price.
Nice, clean and fully furnished 2 bedroom apartment, a great value in the heart of Soho/Nolita. Perfect for 2!! Ideal for a couple or two separate traveler friends. Sleeps a couple plus one, up to 3 guests comfortably. Amazing location close to everything fabulous. This is the best location in the heart of the hottest neighborhood in NYC. Enjoy an easily walk to Little Italy, Chinatown, Tribeca, West and East Village, Chelsea, and Union Square. Public transportation is super convenient! You’ll be next to so many subway lines (Orange Line B,D,F,V Green Line 6 and Yellow Line N&R ). Yummy, cool and trendy restaurants and bars in every direction, conveniance store and drugstore CVS right across the street, Whole Foods and finest specialty food shops walking distance (Dean & Deluca, Gourmet Garage, Grand Daisy Bakery) to eat in or out. Best Shopping Ever! Lower Broadway shopping district (Prada, Yohji Yamamoto, G Star, Burberry & Channel, Miu Miu, Victoria's Secret, Top Shop, Sephora, Nike, All Saints and so many more) as well as many designer boutiques. Movies at The Angelica, IFC and Sunshine Theaters minutes away. The apartment is kept neat and nice and it will be your oasis after a hard day's of turisting the city. It's worth noting the building is old, a typical old New York pre-war style ( built before World War I ) so expect cosmetic wear and tear and loud latino neighbors on ocasion which are all part of the typical new york experience! ( the building could seem a bit messy at times ) narrow stairs and fire scape balconies will give you that New York movie feeling! and there is no doorman or elevator but a nice opportunity to add a bit of stair master exercise during your stay! Couples, young adult travelers are welcome, single parents traveling with kids or small families of 3 as well, gay friendly always. Not recommended for elderly guests, small children or caring strollers up the stairs. Streets are narrow in general, so expect a level of noise randomly coming from the street when garbage collection, loading, and unloading, something you should consider if you’re a light sleeper or coming from a very quiet way of life. Keep in mind you’re staying right in the heart of Soho! Transportation cannot be more convenient!! Super fast subway ride to Midtown attractions, Times Square, Madison Square Garden (MSG), Empire State Building, and Grand Central Station. You'll get all you need to for a short or longish stay: +- Bed Linens and bath towels provided +- Additional blankets and pillows to make you comfy +- Fully equipped kitchen with coffee maker and microwave, water kettle +- Help yourself to the pantry Items ( salt, pepper, olive oil, coffee and tea etc. ) +- Two sets of speakers for your listening pleasure +- Iron and small Ironing Board +- Hair Dryer +- Cinema Display 55' Smart TV & DVD player to watch movies online +- Netflix and Youtube streaming available right off the smart TV +- Includes Wi-fi connection +- Air conditioning in the main bedroom only +- Window Fan in the Singles bedroom +- Master Bedroom in the front faces the street / Queen Bed +- Singles Bedroom is quiet in the back / Twin Bed Before Booking, take a moment to review carefully the apartment description, here below "Other things to note" as well as "the Additional House Rules". Make sure you have clear expectations to assure an amazing stay! If you agree to all the terms and conditions go ahead and book, I'll be so happy to host you!
Amazing Location, Vibe shopping! close to everything and everyone fabulous. Nolita stands for North of Little Italy and its old-world real New York character comes from first-time residents in the 1770s. It sits at the nexus of the must popular downtown neighborhoods: Soho, Tribeca, Chelsea, West / East Village and Little Italy. You'll recognize the streets often featured in fashion magazines and classic De Niro/Scorsese's films. Some of the original Italian bakeries, delicatessen and churches remain amongs the luxurious and upscale brand boutiques which surround the neighborhood. Home to cream de la cream artists and celebrities, Nolita is the must vibrant and fabulous neighborhood you could ever stay in the entire island!
  • We absolutely loved our stay at Nolita Special Soho! The apartment is clean and well outfitted. The area is very safe and feels like a neighborhood. I even let my 12 year old run errands like dropping off dry-cleaning and picking up groceries at the nearby store. He loved saying hello to the grazing sheep at the church down Mulberry. And heMade friends with the local shopowners and restaurant owners. We stayed for 5 weeks in June and we were a little sad to let our home away from home go. A few things you should be aware of: it is on the 5th floor with no elevator. Sometimes that can be daunting after a long day but we earned our chocolates from the place on Elizabeth!! Also, trash day can be noisy in the middle of the night. We had earplugs so this did not bother us too much. The nearest laundromat is kind of a hike but it's not too bad. We also sent our laundry out a few times when we were just too tired to foot ourselves and that was convenient and affordable. Kate was a great host and always responded to all of our needs. When our plans changed last minute, she made every effort possible to make arrangements convenient and really helped us make a stressful situation very manageable. Thank you Kate, we really enjoyed your home!

  • GREAT location. One of the best neighborhoods in NYC. Check in and check out occurred without hitch, as promised. All-in-all a very good stay and deal!

    Donelda2011-09-18T00:00:00Z
  • I stayed in Kate's place for a week. Kate is a very friendly and helpful host. She went out of her way to sort any problem out. It was lovely meeting her.. Her place was very clean and well stocked. She was very thoughtful to provide a map and lots of magazines. The location is fantastic and it is really easy to do shopping and find restaurants. The grocery store is just a 3 minute walk away. In actual fact, everything you might need is just around the corner. Sonia

  • A great little 2BR apartment in a perfect location. Shlepping the suitcases upstairs was a worthwhile tradeoff for the convenience, privacy and value of the apt. Would stay again.

    Ken2018-02-12T00:00:00Z
  • Great place central to everything but feels local. Definitely best area I've stayed in New York.

    Brendan2018-01-29T00:00:00Z
  • We stayed in Kate's place for a week in early January 2011 and overall we had a very pleasant experience. Kate has been a good host, helpful, understanding, and rapid in every communication. The apartment itself is nice, tastefully appointed and has everything needed for a short stay. Things to keep in a mind: it's a bit worn on the edges as the whole building is quite old, and it's at the 4th floor with no elevator. However, the location (at the crossroads of Nolita, Soho, the Village and Lower East Side, with at least three subway stops and countless shops within 5 min walking) is so great that this can easily be overcome. Overall, in this price range, it's a good option for staying right in the middle of NYC life.

    Andrea2012-01-09T00:00:00Z
  • The reservation was canceled 168 days before arrival. This is an automated posting.

    Jo2015-04-23T00:00:00Z
  • The flat is lovely with a lot of character in a very central place. It's metres from the subway too. Luz the house keeper is lovely and very helpful and Kate is too if a little slow at getting back on occasion. Note the 5 floor stair climb. We loved it but it would definitely hit some people. I would definitely recommend this place. Very cool.

Sweet apartment in the best Downtown location possible. Extremely quiet for being in the middle of Soho.
If you want to visit New York and experience Downtown this is the perfect place. It is in the hottest spot of Soho. The apartment is facing a garden so it is really nice . Once you walk down (there is no elevator) two flights you are in the middle of the best bars, shopping, galleries, clubs and interesting international people. The apartment is in Soho with the best shopping possibilities you can imagine but it is also close to China Town and Lower East Side. There you find more eclectic small shops and bars. The New Museum is steps away. The apartment is ideal for 2 guests (but can sleep up to 4 with a sofa bed) it has a fully equipped kitchen and a small bathroom with bathtub, Air Condition (there is one big AC Window unit in the living room which will cool down the whole apartment very nicely - there is no additional unit in the bedroom but so far everyone was happy with the temperature in the apt in the summer) and wireless internet. My wife is a interior architect, she did a great job renovating it however it is by no means a 5 Star Hotel but a private apartment in a old building please consider this. The art on the walls are originals from my Gallery. All major Subways are close. The green line is right around the corner - the blue line is a few blocks on Spring Street and the red and Orange lines are on Canal Street. Cafe Select and La Esquina are two hotspots of Downtown NY - both bars are opposite side of our building. As I said the perfect spot for a fun NYC experience. Feel at home in NYC. Very Important: I mentioned this before in the description. This is not a newly renovated apartment. It is by no means perfect. For example there is a spot in the bathtub where the glazing is gone - so it shows the iron of the bathtub - it is clean by all means but it is old. Please do not expect a Hotel experience. This is a private apartment with all it downs and ups. If you want a perfect place this is not for you. I do want to manage expectations. I say that because I had 2 guests who were not happy with the condition of the apartment. Personally I don't think their criticism was fair since I very clearly describe the apartment - however if you come to NY I want you to have a great experience in our apartment and not to be frustrated. Of course I change frequently things which needed changing (new pillows, new chairs, new coffee pot etc.) but I can not transfer it to a new apartment with all new furniture.
Soho is the buzzy center of Downtown. It is ver busy, international, eclectic and fun. Tons of restaurants, bars and boutiques. You can basically walk anywhere in Downtown from that location and all major subways are nearby.
  • Arne's apartment was perfect for us. Great location for exploring with loads of places to eat / drink / shop nearby. We would stay again and highly recommend to others.

    Claire2018-06-29T00:00:00Z
  • Arne made it super easy for us to arrive at the apartment, even though we arrived at the airport in the middle of the night. The apartment itself was just as promised, and the location was awesome! We had a great time in NYC.

    Charlotte2015-10-15T00:00:00Z
  • Arne's place is as described. Excellent host. Responsive to messages. WiFi is strong and fast which was a plus. The bathroom is a bit small, but I do believe that Arne points that out in the apartment description. Minimal sound which is always a plus for NY apartments. Overall the stay was good.

    Ti2015-03-01T00:00:00Z
  • The space was smaller than the pictures, guess the pics were taken from a great angle and lighting. But it was pretty much ideal and perfect for a get away. Plus great view and neighborhood. Not that far from the subway.

    Amy2016-06-13T00:00:00Z
  • It was good to stay at Arnes place. Everything was as described and we had a good stay in a good location for our purposes. Recommended!

    Edward2017-09-02T00:00:00Z
  • Great location if you want a base to see Manhattan. Close to Subways, good eats and bars. The host was easily contactable even though he was on holiday himself which was convenient over the New Year period.

    Sebastian2018-01-04T00:00:00Z
  • Arne's place is really well located, clean, and Arne was very responsive :)

Spacious and modern apartment in the heart of downtown in the Lower East Side. Walking distance to the best bars in the city, amazing food and great shopping. Centrally located, you’re under a ten minute walk from trendy cafes in Nolita, shopping in Soho, classic institutions in the East Village, dim sum in Chinatown, Little Italy, or even walk the Williamsburg Bridge to Brooklyn. 3 minute walk to 3 different subway stations (F, J, B, D trains).
  • Nice place, good communication from Paul. Clean place and decent location to get around Manhattan.

    Joanne2018-06-05T00:00:00Z
  • Lovely flat and amazing location. Definitely a great to stay that I’d recommend!

    Irina2018-05-06T00:00:00Z
  • Paul’s place is pretty much exactly as pictured. The bathroom was weirdly cavernous and there were stains on the walls. Not a lot of effort put into the place. At 9 am someone furiously knocked on every door (including ours) in the building, waking us up. Since we weren’t really “supposed to” be there, it just made me want to check out as soon as possible. For nearly $200 mid-week, I just feel like I’ve gotten way better deals in other cities. Oh New York...

    Kristen2018-05-24T00:00:00Z
  • The place was excellently located in Lower East Manhattan, close to everything. But, the photos made the place appear a lot cleaner than it was. The shower in particular was mouldy and we could not get it to work. And in general there was a lack of care and cleanliness. Also, the system of getting into the apartment made me question the security of the place when we were out. However, Paul was timely, helpful and prompt with his communication.

    Ava2018-10-26T00:00:00Z
  • Lovely little apartment in a great area, perfect for exploring!

    Matt2018-07-26T00:00:00Z
  • Great place but cleanliness is limit

    Regis2018-06-27T00:00:00Z
  • Paul’s place was great. The instructions to get in were a bit intimidating but accessing the apartment was very easy and I had no problems. No TV in the apartment but it was perfect for sleeping and getting ready. Exactly what I was looking for! Would recommend.

  • Perfect spot in NYC for a quick stay (or longer), location and amenities-wise. Perfect access to Chinatown, the LES, and everything that comes with it. And yes, it's very accurate that the apartment is bright and sunny, and your mileage may vary regarding whether this is good for morning wakeups by the light :) Definitely would recommend the place.

One of the best locations for a fun NY trip. The apartment is nice but not a 5 Star Hotel room.
This is most probably the best spot in Soho. You are in the middle of everything: steps from eclectic Chinatown and Nolita with small boutiques and restaurants. At the same time you are in Soho with high end stores and all entertainment you need. The apartment is located on Kenmare Square with the hippest bars and restaurants. There is a small park in front of the building. The apartment has two bedrooms and one bathroom. To get to the bathroom you need to go through one of the bedrooms - please consider this. The apartment has a fully equipped kitchen and a nice living room. Wireless Internet, Aircondition (there in one big AC unit in the living room - it will cool down the whole apartment nicely - there is no additional unit in the bedroom) etc.. There is original art from my gallery on the walls. The apartment is in a old building and by no means like a 5 Start Hotel, it is a nice old NY apartment and we do love it. It is lived in and therefore definitely not perfect. The apartment is a walkup - there is no elevator in the building. If you stay at our apartment you will get the best of Downtown NY. Also you are 1/2 block from the green 6 subway on Spring Street. Starbucks is also 1/2 block so fresh coffee is no problem. Very Important: I mentioned this before in the description. This is not a newly renovated apartment. It is by no means perfect. Please do not expect a Hotel experience. This is a private apartment with all it downs and ups. If you want a perfect place this is not for you. I do want to manage expectations. I say that because I had lately 2 guests who were not happy with the condition of the apartment.
Soho is probably one of the best shopping areas in the world with a beautiful and authentic architecture. At the same time you are steps from more eclectic neighborhoods like Lower Eats Side and China Town. From the location you can basically walk anywhere in Downtown.
  • Hello, I 've been staying at this apartment in soho with three more friends, it had a great location, walking distance to great shops! Subway! Restaurantes. The weather was really cold, so for me the heat in the apartment was not enough. All of the rest was really good. Arne was very kind and helpfull. He also let us have a late check out the last day, which was really considerate. I would stay again in this apartment. Thank you Arne. Carolina

  • Location is everything with this apartment. Right in the heart of SoHo so really convenient. The apartment is, clean, well proportioned and appointed. The place is not plush. needs a little extra work but had everything we needed for a great stay. Beds were comfortable with decent linen and towels. Arne was a great host. Very helpful and easy to contact. Would def recommend.

    Elizabeth2014-09-22T00:00:00Z
  • Great stay! Excellent location and plenty of bars and restaurants. And artsy atmosphere! The beds were cozy and comfortable but one room with bathroom might be uncomfortable cause you always have to pass by the room. Thanks Arne !

    Senna2014-10-11T00:00:00Z
  • Great apt in a great location! I needed a place to stay overnight and Arne's place did not disappoint. Everything was as advertised. I would definitely stay there again. Thank you!

    Alessandra2015-11-18T00:00:00Z
  • Wonderful place! We were able to drop off our bags early, which was definitely a plus. The best feature was the location - just blocks away from Soho's shopping area. Also very close to Little Italy and Chinatown. The apartment was very clean as well. One soft bed and one firm bed. Communication with Arne was easy and quick. Thank you for this stay!

    Priscilla2016-04-06T00:00:00Z
  • Steps from everything, comfortable, and super clean along with some fantastic art work from Arne's nearby gallery Arne was a perfect host. There is a list of things to try out from mini-adventures to great local eats - I chose the run over the nearby Brooklyn Bridge - the views and experience were spectacular on crisp blue sky late winter morning. We are looking forward to making this home base when ever we are in town. Thanks Arne!

    Daniel2017-03-12T00:00:00Z
  • The apartment is perfectly located in SOHO. I came with my wife and my two sons, and we really enjoyed having the subway and shops just a few steps away. Although a little noisy, the apartment was overall very comfortable. Arne was also a very accommodating host and provided us with good tips to make the most out of our stay.

    Pierre2014-05-02T00:00:00Z
  • The apartment was clean, spacious and in an amazing location. Arne was very flexible and I had no problems checking in/out. Thanks!

My place is in the most charming location in NYC, next to trendy coffee-shops, restaurants, boutiques, galleries and bars. Subway is only 1 block away. Room has a private bathroom, oversized windows, it’s spacious and quiet. Great living space with dining and relaxing area, elevator, dishwasher, washer, dryer in the building and beautifully set up common rooftop with the view of the city. Perfect for couples or singles, I’ll give plenty of tips what to do, where to eat or drink in the area.
Feel free to use dining and living area, rooftop, washer dryer in the building. Elevator building, so don’t worry about carrying your heavy suitcases up the stairs. Fast wifi.
Lower East Side is full of best coffee-shops, restaurants, galleries, boutiques and bars. Soho, Little Italy, Nolita, East Village and Chinatown is walking distance away. Very charming and safe area. Some of my favourite places around is Dudleys, Dimes, Kiki's, Metrograph, Bario Chino, An Choi, The Fat Radish, Forgetmenot and Bar Belly. Great coffeeshop across the street. Market every Saturday round the corner with vintage and new designer clothing and food vendors.
  • Clean, secure apartment on a quiet street but within easy walking distance a variety of restaurants/bars. A lovely place to rest after exploring the city. Roof deck is shared and has great views.

    Andrea2017-07-05T00:00:00Z
  • Great place, fairly convenient key pickup and location. Street parking pretty easy to find.

    John2017-10-05T00:00:00Z
  • The room at Nora's place has the morning sun and was big enough for me. The location on the Lower East Side is great. There's also access to two rooftop terraces with great views of the city. The room was clean and I had a great time there with Nora as a great host.

    Marcel2017-09-15T00:00:00Z
  • This was a great place! Checking in and out was a breeze and the location was convenient.

  • Nora's place has a great location! It's within walking distance to various restaurants and shops, bars and subway station! The apartment was clean and spacious and our room had its own air condition, which was great for the hot summer days. Nora is really kind and helps you out if you need anything. We would definitely recommend it!

In fact our block is home to 4 restaurants including famous Prune, 2 bars and 3 galleries. Lower East Side, Soho, Noho, Little Italy, West Village and Alphabet City are only minutes away.
  • Listing is accurate- For NYC standards, this is a huge and deliciously spacious place to land. I felt super relieved when I got there, as sometimes I feel like places and pictures just don't do justice. I felt like I was given my own apartment. No bother and no fuss, which was also relieving!!! Bed is comfortable, place is relatively quiet for the street noise or static energy that NYC can offer. First time I slept so well in NYC in fact! Thanks Zev. You have great style.

The best location in NYC! You'll be living in the heart of all the coolest things NY can offer and experience a real NYC lifestyle. The apartment has all you need as a base to explore the city! This is a bright private cozy bedroom in a beautiful apartment located in the heart of the incredible famous East Village area. Includes all you need for a great visit near all trendy pub and restaurants and close to the subway.
Become a real New Yorker! Live in a sunny private, and cozy room located at the heart of the East Village. The has a queen-size bed and a drawer. You're also welcome to use the full magical common area in the house for relaxing and hanging out including the living room, kitchen and dining area. We also have high speed secured wifi. Around you can find tons of different restaurants, cafes, lounges, clubs, boutiques in the area. Dine with me around the table or relax on the couch with a cup of tea. Close to N,Q,6,F,L trains. The East Village is one of the only places in the city that maintained a neighborhood-like mentality. Loads of small cafes and ma and pa stores. So many places to explore and very chill and hip. Very close to all of the public trains that will take you anywhere in Manhattan. Not all people are used to Manhattan's noise so it's important to mention that we're facing the busy but beautiful 2nd ave and it's a typical NYC-cozy-size room.

The best part - you can just walk everywhere. in walking distance you will find NYU (New York University), Little Italy, SoHo, China town, Washington Square Park, Union Square and all the cool spots in NY. In case you decide to take transit - you have subway stops and buses all around.
  • This place was absolutely amazing! Tanya was very polite and helped me with some great places to eat around the city. Will definitely come back and stay again!

    Nick2018-03-05T00:00:00Z
  • Tanya is a very welcoming person as is Sam, her fiancé. I enjoyed my stay with them. The neighborhood, for those not familiar with the East Village, is an eclectic mix of restaurants, bars, theaters, and various convenience and other types of stores and shops. It is noisy, as is much of the city. Still, I slept well and appreciate Tanya and Sam's opening their home and their hospitality.

    Eric2015-12-11T00:00:00Z
  • I enjoyed my stay with Tanya. She was lovely and accommodating. The room is small, but all that I felt is needed. Her home is clean and organised. There's definitely a welcoming feeling. The room is a bit noisy from the street ... but then it IS New York, and nothing that earplugs can't solve! If you like East Village, then I'd recommend staying with Tanya.

    Beau2016-01-30T00:00:00Z
  • This place was extremely convenient to the NYU Courant Inst. It was easy to pick up a key, and the bed was comfortable. (I've lived in 2nd floor, on-street apartments before, so street noises did not bother me.) I was a boring guest, since I just stayed overnight between two days of a math meeting at, and did not take advantage of the hosts' offer to give me area recommendations; hope to do that some other time.

    Jack2014-11-10T00:00:00Z
  • Had a great time staying at Tanya's while I was in New York. Everything was as described in the listing and she was lovely. It's in a fantastic location as well. Would recommend and stay at again!

  • Great time. Perfect location!!

    Allison2015-04-20T00:00:00Z
  • Great location in the East Village and within walking distance from everything you need. Tanya coordinated our arrival with us and was very responsive during the entire process from start to finish. She and her fiancé Sam were very friendly and we enjoyed meeting them both. The room itself is quite small (pretty much a bed and a dresser), but perfect if you are just using it for sleep as we were, choosing to spend our time out enjoying the City as much as possible. We didn't find the room or the bathroom as clean as we would have liked and Tanya currently has a furry friend (kitty) staying with her. It wasn't mentioned during booking and if either one of us had been allergic, it would have been a problem for sure. It was noisy as previous guests had mentioned, but this wasn't an issue. After all, this is New York!

    Joan2016-04-11T00:00:00Z
  • Overall, I would recommend to stay here again. Reasons why: 1. great location in east village 2. personable hostess with great communication leading up to stay 3. delivered on reasonable amenities (internet, heat, cleanliness, etc)

Spacious one bedroom with French doors, a full dining area, fully equipped kitchen in the heart of Chinatown. Lots of little extra thoughtful helpful touches - coffee, fresh extra linen, an iron and ironing pad, blankets and even a bottle of wine! Bathroom spotless, hot water pressure in shower great too and aircon (which was amazing as it was so hot in NYC when we were there) Jo was on hand throughout our stay via text and helped with everything. She also didn't mind us leaving our bags there early before check in on our day of arrival. Thank you for everything Jo we will be back!!

  • My family and I had a great at Zevs place. The location is awesome and it's a great place to stay for a night.

    Reese2017-07-24T00:00:00Z
  • Zev's place was clean, and the listing was accurate. It was a good location for us. We would've appreciated some hand towels and wash clothes. And, although we didn't need it, the fridge wouldn't keep anything cold enough to save. The freezer worked fine. Half way through our stay we came back to find a court-ordered eviction notice from Zev's landlord posted on the door. It didn't have any real impact on our stay, but I was glad to see the eviction date was after we were scheduled to leave. All that said, we'd probably stay here again.

    Fredrick2018-08-19T00:00:00Z

    Agnes2016-01-21T00:00:00Z
  • We had a wonderful time at Zev's place. It was perfect for a couple with 2-3 kids. There are a lot of great restaurants in the neighborhood so we never had to cook or feel the need for a kitchen. The bathroom was okay, felt a bit old but the rest of the house had a nice nyc decor and feel to it. Zev was excellent at staying in touch and responded very quickly to every question I had.

This is a charming, quiet bedroom with en suite bathroom located in the rear of the building on the second floor of our house. It has its own entrance off the main hallway. Windows offer plenty of daylight and face the garden and the ivy-covered wall directly opposite. The townhouse is located on one of the most beautiful tree-lined blocks in the East Village. It is perfect for a couple or a person traveling alone; excellent for an artist or writer who wants a quiet oasis in the middle of the bustling city. The space is self-contained and totally private. It is a great location from which to explore the city. You enter off the stairway into a small foyer. There is a sliding door into the main room. Mary2017-07-19T00:00:00Z
  • I would recommend this booking without reservation! The room was bright, clean, quiet, and extremely comfortable. The bathroom alone is worth the stay. Anything you might want to do in the city is easily accessible. 5th St. is a wonderfully quiet spot within blocks of LOTS going on. I pay a lot of attention to things like pillows(flat or fluffy), water pressure(is there any), and is there a wine opener, etc. I am happy to report fluffy & supportive, just right, and yes, there IS a wine opener and everything else you need in a kitchenette. Carrie is accessible and responsive, while respectful of your privacy and other needs. For them to share this incredible home is a gift!

    Mbf672018-01-16T00:00:00Z
  • Absolutely Amazing! Carrie was very helpful and super quick to respond to our messages. The place is awesome! Loved the claw foot bath, it was great to have a soak after walking all over NYC. The location is so central to everything you would want to see and there are city bikes literally at the door. The room is at the back of the building and overlooks a private garden. So it is very quiet, we woke up to the sound of birds... we didn’t expect such a wonderful peaceful retreat right in the heart of the city. We will definitely stay again on our next NYC trip!

  • Very cool lovely apartment! Super stylish, cozy and ac was nice. No problems! Beautiful roof top! Ask the host if i could check in at 11am, we didn’t end up meeting until 1pm.

  • Good and clean place and a relaxed neighborhood. Metro station makes it possible to get easily everywhere and a lot of sightseeing could be done by foot. The roof terrace has a beautiful view and was just used by us. Thanks Jake

  • The location is top notch, super close to subway station and great small restaurants on every corner.

    Laura2018-03-14T00:00:00Z
  • Great central location and a perfect base for exploring Manhattan, Brooklyn, Williamsburg and the rest of New York

  • Jake was an incredible host, always attentive and sharing his favourite spots with us. We really enjoyed the neighbourhood. Orchard street and the area around were full of amazing restaurants and bars, our six days here were not nearly enough - we will be back!

    Lina2016-11-06T00:00:00Z
  • If you have the chance to stay at Jakes lovey chinatown apt - do it! So central, clean, minimal and Jake himself is beyond lovely.

  • Jake was a very nice guy, we enjoyed chatting with him when he arrived to let us in. He even carried my large bag up all 7 flights of stairs for me! He gave us a great tour of the unit and showed us the views from the roof which were incredible. He gave us permission to host a few friends for drinks on the roof the next evening and I must say that the roof access made this unit 100% worth it. It was a little frustrating that he had us wait at an Asian restaurant across the street for 25 minutes with our luggage upon arrival, despite already giving him advanced notice of our arrival time. I'm not sure what he was doing during that time but after we were let in, it appeared that he had been quickly trying to clean the studio (which for the most part was clean other than some parts of the floors, thankfully!). Overall the studio was just big enough for 1 or 2 people to share. The bathroom didn't have a sink, it felt strange to brush my teeth in the kitchen sink! Also, just be warned that while the stairs/hallway of the apartment building smell strongly of fish and garbage (garbage is stored in the hallways), that the unit itself smelled very nice - Jake even put fresh flowers on the table! Overall, I would say that this was a nice, comfortable place to stay for a weekend. In my opinion it was a tad overpriced for 2 people - Jake had to add on an extra $40/night fee because there were 2 guests not 1 (he told us that it was in accordance with an Airbnb booking policy in New York - I didn't have time to confirm this as I received this information a few days before our stay and I was traveling elsewhere at the time).

  • My boyfriend and I stayed a week at Jakob's place, and loved it. Number one awesome feature is the BED. It's SO comfortable! Lots of light and it's pretty spacious for a New York apartment. It was super cold while we were there so we didn't spend much time on the rooftop terrace, but wish we could have. The location is amazing. We took the subway everywhere, since the B and D are across the street, and they connect to anywhere you need to go. Lots of light, and modern furnishings. Will definitely stay at Jakob's place again!

    Kelly2014-04-02T00:00:00Z
  • Jake - you have a great location for an apartment, but I guess this dependent on your guests. For me the hustle an bustle on the Chinatown streets straight out of the doorstep provided a great feeling of being in New York - perhaps the most multicultural city (at least in my experience) that can only be experienced this way. And that might have been enough but no the restaurants, brunch bars, coffee houses with lit'le italy and the Spring Street district all so immediately to hand meant as you'll appreciate I didn't cook a damn thing in the apartment - but I could have if I wanted to. As my week was packed out with a training course and cycling the location was ideal for an Uber taxi to 8th and 3 minutes from Manhattan Bridge and all the cycle routes. Okay 4 flights of stairs was a test at the end of each ride but the warm and quiet flat, with plenty of hot water meant I could soon recover from the near freezing temperatures. And the vista from the roof on the sunny days (not guaranteed to come with the flat in February) provided welcomed relaxation. Trust you will look to push for and maintain a higher standard of accommodation - the apartment deserves it. Recommended for young, active singles and couples who want to be in the thick of it in a real part of New York. Great value and a very genial host.

  • Awesome NYC apartment. Great host, although we did not met, he was always present with our doubts. The neighborhood is incredible, close and accessible to all. We were 2 girls and we felt super-safe, even in the building. Highly recommended!

    Caro2015-06-26T00:00:00Z
  • Jake was very friendly and easy going. The apartment was clean, light and bright and comfortable. The location was perfect! Make sure you take the time to get out and explore!

    Keera2016-04-18T00:00:00Z
  • It’s not a luxury four-star hotel, but who wants that in New York, anyway? Not us. Jake met us at a café two blocks away. He was a little bit late but let us know and it wasn’t inconvenient. Jake was very friendly and helpful by walking us to the apartment and helped Jenny by taking her suitcase up the 67 steep steps in this vintage New York tenement building – a la Barefoot in the Park. You’ll be greeted by a framed picture of Kramer from Seinfeld as you take your last breath on step 67. A delight! The apartment is small, but charming and artsy with a bathroom, bedroom and roomy kitchen. Yes, the hallways are somewhat fragrant as garbage cans are kept there, but you don’t get any of that inside the flat. There is strong water pressure in the bathroom with a small bathtub and shower. There is also A/C inside the bedroom, which is helpful. But there’s lack of electrical plugs, though. However, there is an extension cord can be found under the sink. One of the best features of this place is the location – you are in the middle of a thriving, bustling Chinatown with Grand subway station right down the street. The orange B+D lines are right there. It’s the authentic Windy Apple experience! A pleasant bonus is the rooftop view. Days are usually pretty busy with exploring the city, but if you get a chance and the weather is nice, a few glasses of wine on the Christmas-light-lit rooftop is totally worth it. Surprisingly quiet, the rooftop offers a stunning view of the new World Trade Centre building if you look south.

    Michael2015-09-27T00:00:00Z
  • Jakob was very helpful and the location of this apartment was great, so close to the subway and an array of really interesting areas and restaurants. However, the apartment and the apartment building smell of garbage/rotting fish which was seriously unpleasant. The bathroom was rather grimy and every time you moved in bed the entire bed groaned which was not great.

    Catherine2015-01-01T00:00:00Z
  • We only had to said that we expend 6 days with a mouse in the apartment. We will never come back.

The complimentary filtered water in the refrigerator was a particularly lovely touch. Alex was extremely helpful at checkin and promptly responsive to questions. Highly recommend.

  • Great location in Chinatown. Alex was very helpful, even helping to take our many bags up stairs as well as offering up his parking spot. He could not have been more accommodating.

  • To be completely honest, the place looked sketchy at first, but when we walked in it was nice, clean and cozy! Alex left his Netflix account open for us, which was nice! AC was amazing!!! He left us towels toiletries and kitchen utensils. Great, safe neighborhood!

  • Fantastic location and super cozy.

    Haley2017-01-19T00:00:00Z
  • This is a great location if you want to get a taste of the Lower East Side. The area has changed from being sketchy and crime ridden to being a trendy area, although it still has a lot of the old East Village flavor. It's a few blocks from Katz's, our favorite NYC deli. Close to Greenwich Village, Little Italy and Chinatown. The F train has a stop a couple blocks away, so you have to connect somewhere to catch most uptown trains. The Apt is a studio so it's small, but has all the essentials. Very clean. Good bathroom and kitchen. The only caveat for those who need quiet, Allen St is a noisy street and ear plugs are recommended if you are a light sleeper.

    Joe2017-01-28T00:00:00Z
  • Ozzie's place was fantastic! Communication was top notch and everything was as described. The apartment is close to everything you'd want to do on the Lower East Side and a block from the 2nd ave. F train to get you easily to other parts of the city. Very walkable and safe.

  • This was my first use of airbnb and everything went very smoothly. The apartment was exactly as pictured and was very comfortable for our small group. We found subway close by and also a market and good restaurants. Ozzie was easy to get a hold of and we had no problems getting checked in.

  • Perfect hosts for a perfect long weekend with a group of my fabulous pals! Jon (and little Chloe) kindly facilitated an early arrival and took our luggage whilst we ran off for mani/pedis and the loft was prepared for arrival - we were greeted with beers to refresh after a long flight. The loft is incredible, even better than the pictures - beautifully decorated, clean and spacious with ample towels and bedding and, most importantly, plenty of champagne glasses! Slept 7 of us easily and gave us enough room to accommodate all that 7 women require for a 4 night stay and all the endless outfit changes :-) The location is spot on - close to subway, easy to explore Soho, West Village etc. We booked dinner on the first night at a local restaurant - one of Chester and Jon's guidebook recommendations and we weren't disappointed - particularly me whose birthday it was as I was spoilt rotten. We bought delicious supplies from the Gourmet Garage - again a C&J recommendation...I cannot recommend this loft highly enough as it created the ultimate background to a truly memorable 4 nights in the Big Apple! thank you guys again and we'll be back for sure!

    Natalie 2016-05-03T00:00:00Z
  • Chester and Jon's place was the perfect place for my New York trip! With a party of five, the place was more than what we could have expected. Great location steps from soho and great restaurants and the amenities are to die for. Thanks for a great stay!!!

    Aivory2013-05-09T00:00:00Z
  • Chester & Jon were very kind and helpful with any question or problem. The loft is nice and offers a lot of comfort and space. The beds are nice and comfortable, the baths as well. The kitchen is big and has all the electric equipment you would ask for. Every other positive facts have been described in the previous reviews. The disappointing fact: During the entire stay we felt like being inside a construction site. At daytime there was a lot of noise and dust from the ongoing rebuilding on the same floor and from the floors below. The place was quite dusty from the beginning, especially the floors and of course there was additional dust from the construction going on around. The Wifi was of very poor stability, also we hat some electrical power issues. Jon would actively try to help with asking the provider for improvement - unfortunately with little success. Over all we felt like not getting really what we have been paying for.

    Stefan2014-04-27T00:00:00Z
  • What a great place to stay to enjoy NYC. Central to everything! Jon and Chester are the nicest hosts. By the way, the coffee maker is incredible!!!!

    Simon2015-08-24T00:00:00Z
  • Used the space as a showroom during fashion week. Crossed over with the previous guests who were as accommodating and kind as Jon. The guests reflect the kind host. Good energy and chic aesthetic.

    Jennifer2018-02-15T00:00:00Z
  • Jon and Chester's lovely apartment was an ideal location for our family's 5 night stay. We were in NYC for our daughter's wedding, and needed space for bouquet arranging, bridal party preparations, and brunch the morning after the wedding. Jon was most accommodating. The only drawback was the daily construction noise in apartments next door and below us.

    Susan2014-03-17T00:00:00Z
  • Chester and Jon were charming hosts who made our whole booking, arrival and departure experience very easy. The apartment is perfect, with very comfortable beds and furniture. Everything is top quality, the many appliances were very much appreciated! The location is excellent, with many shops and restaurants within a very short walk. Highly recommended.

  • This was my first airbnb experience, and I'm so glad because it was a great one! The apartment is really easy to find, close to the subway. It looks just like in the photos. We were five girls, and everything worked out fine. It was so close to many things we wanted to see, which was great. I would definitely recommend this apartment. Jacklyn was really nice about us leaving our luggage in the apartment before check in and also after check out, which we really appreciated.

    Sara2016-06-10T00:00:00Z
  • Everything was exactly as described and met or exceeded expectations. The location is very convenient a short 5 min walk to the Fulton Street Subway hub, with connections to all the major routes both up and downtown. I highly recommend.

The bedroom gets lots of sunlight but there are blinds and pretty thick curtains as well to ensure a good sleep even in the late hours of the morning. The apartment is beautifully decorated as you can see in the pictures and has all the necessary amenities for a comfortable stay. There's an awesome memory foam Queen Size Bed in the bedroom and a spacious sofa bed in the living room. The apartment comfortably accommodates a total of 4 people, 2 on each bed. There are 2 Air Conditioning units in the bedroom, one in each window, as well as a ceiling fan in the living room. The apartment is adequately heated in the winter and I also have a backup electric heater, just in case. The kitchen is fully equipped for all dining/cooking needs. You'll find plates, bowls, silverware, pots & pans and a tea kettle. If you drink coffee there's a high-end Keurig coffee maker for which an ample supply of coffee pods will be provided. Also, usual supplies such as coffee creamer, sugar and salt are always available. The bathroom is fully stocked as well with ample supply of fresh towels, shampoo, conditioner, body wash and toilet paper. Pack light! :) As you can see you’ll have everything you need and I’m always happy to provide anything extra.
Without any doubt, the location does not get any better than this! Centrally located in the heart of Lower East Side and surrounded by the trendiest and most desirable neighborhoods in all of Manhattan --> SoHo, Greenwich Village, Little Italy, Chinatown, West Village, Tribeca. The Lower East Side and all the other surrounding neighborhoods are well known to have the best boutique shops, restaurants, bars and night life there is to find in NYC. Anything that you'd be interested in doing you'll easily find nearby within minutes
  • This apartment was perfect. Clean and comfortable, right in the middle of a cool neighborhood, and easy to get to and from. John was a very attentive host; all of his communication was timely and helpful.

  • My husband and I came to NYC for a “getaway weekend” to see some Broadway shows and visit some friends. The apartment is conveniently located in a very hip neighborhood and getting around is super easy. We would usually make it to Times Square in less than 20 minutes. Soho, Little Italy and all the surrounding downtown neighborhoods are within walking distance. The area perfectly encapsulates all that NYC is known for: great food, fancy bars and shopping stores. At the same time the apartment is located on a fairly quiet block, which makes it perfect after a long day of wondering around the city. We had no trouble finding everything we would need at the apartment, just like we would at home. Over all this place is a steal!

  • Great Place

    Bart2017-07-03T00:00:00Z
  • The apartment has a very modern look and it’s very well equipped. It’s located in a very central area with lots of trains nearby. John was always quick to respond and made everything very easy.

    Adi2017-02-12T00:00:00Z
  • Perfect location. Apartment was clean and John was very helpful throughout the stay. We will be back!

    Angela2017-07-02T00:00:00Z
  • John's apartment was an amazing option for our holiday accommodation! The space is very clean and the check-in system is very clever too.. The apartment is located near a metro station and Delancey Street. The host (John) always replies and gives suggestions whenever we want! There were plenty of fruit and coffee when we arrived. There's nothing better than watch Netflix and chill after a busy day walking around :) I totally recommend!

    Marcos2018-08-03T00:00:00Z
  • Great location, quieter than expected. Key pick up was easy and communication with John was really good.

While traveling, we are renting our little but cozy 1 bedroom apartment in a very trendy Lower East Side in Manhattan. It can host 2 (+2) people, has a TV, wifi and all amenities. It is located in the heart of Lower East Side, very safe, lively going out and shopping area.
Our apartment includes 1 bedroom with a queen size bed and brand new latex mattress that is the highest quality mattress, kitchen and living room with a brand new sofa that converts in to a queen size bed for additional 2 guests that are free of charge, Wifi–Internet and new smart TV and all utilities, access to fridge and cooking and a wardrobe space. Bed linen, covers, pillows and towels are provided by us. The apartment is great for couples or friends looking to stay in a great area for very reasonable price. Normally it accommodates two but it can take up to 4 people that is free of charge. This is a trendy neighborhood with many bars, restaurants, lounges and venues to visit and have fun. This is ideal for couples, students or travelers who are coming to NY for temporary schooling, business trip or vacation. It's 4 minutes walking from 2 different Metro/Subway J, F and M lines, less than 10 minutes walking from B, D, R, W and 6 line and walking distance from NY University, The New Museum and many other important places. We are looking for a clean, considerate and responsible people who will be respectful to our place and neighbors. We promise great time and hospitality.
Lower East side of Manhattan is a very unique and history rich area. You can see the cultural mix from all over the world, taste any kind of food, spend your night dancing in the number of clubs and lounges or endlessly walk around exploring history, museums, small signature fashion shops and galleries.
  • A really great neighborhood, lively and with many amenities. The apartment is quiet and pleasant. Mariana made everything easy for us. We would definitely return.

    Eric2017-07-31T00:00:00Z
  • The size of the apartment is perfect for a couple. We found there everything we needed. AC in hot summer days, shower, small kitchen and very comfortable bed. The apartment was clean, in a safe house. The location is very lively during the night, but we did not hear any noise from the outside. If we came back to NYC, we would gladly stay here again. Many thanks to Mariana!

    Mária2017-07-10T00:00:00Z
  • The location of the apartment was convenient, close to subways, restaurants and bars. It was small but cozy. Unfortunately there was a construction work going on in the hallway and because of that the fair was lowered as compensation. It was quite cold in the apartement so the hostess offered us an extra heater. The hostess was very nice and accomodating! Sincerely, Ulrika and Nicole

  • My husband and I arrived on Friday to spend a long weekend at Mariana's until Monday. When we arrived, Mariana welcomed us and showed us a few things in her tidy apartment and then went on her way. She is lovely and made us feel right at home. There were extra towels/linens and kitchen equipment to cook if we had wanted to. The apartment was appointed with all the comforts of home away from home. I made coffee every morning and we were able to put some things in the fridge to make snacking and at home cocktailing easy. After dining out in the LES our first night there, we arranged to meet Mariana and her friend out for a drink and had a great time getting to know her better. The bed is very comfortable and we had plenty of room to hang/store our clothing and belongings. It was great to visit the city without the hassle of a hotel! I left the apartment the way I found it, very clean! Enjoy Mariana's hospitality as we did sometime in your next trip to the LES!

  • Excellent location, even for tourists planning to use public transport. There are many restaurant choices available within walking distance- Indian, Italian, vegetarian. The kitchen is very well equipped to enable cooking. The only irritant that I can point out is the micro size wash room.

Close from the subway, you can make shopping on the best stores (shoes, clothes, ect...),to go out (there are a lot of amazing bars and restaurants). I 'll definitly come back to their place.don't hesitate ,this is the place to be!!!!Thanks to Marianna with who i'll keep in touch because she is wonderful.

  • Mariana's place is in a great location and she was very quick to respond. It's a cozy spot and perfect if you are looking to be middle of the action for a reasonable price.

  • Mariana was very welcoming and organized. Th apartment is located on the lower east side - Small but functional and clean just what I required. Mariana was very respectful and in fact I did not see her very much/ good place for a short stay. Bring earplugs as this is in a lively area with bas and clubs and you can hear neighbours. There is construction during the day along the whole road - This will not bother you if you are out early all day visiting NYC.

  • Matías' place is close to a few great places to have a bite or coffee. The apartment itself is clean, well stocked but it can get really hot. I'm usually always cold but at night it was hard to sleep being that the apartment was so hot. We informed Matias and he let us know the apartment complex is who runs the heater, so not much you can do to adjust the temperature unless you crack open the windows a bit. My 3 year old daughter kept waking up all night asking for water, as it was so hot in there. There was a bit of confusion about the check in time, it's 3pm, even though the information in the apt says 1pm. Matías had first said it was 1pm but then corrected the time to 3pm. The information on the website is correct however, so just make sure you read carefully. Check out time is 10am, way to early in my opinion. Again, this information is stated and I failed to read it, so that's on me. For these reasons I wouldn't stay here again but if you have an early flight or don't mind the heat then this apartment will suit you just fine.

    Maribel2017-12-21T00:00:00Z
  • The apartment was really spacious, beautifully designed and located on a quiet road - perfect stay for a short stay work trip.

    Sheena2017-11-17T00:00:00Z
  • Hip and clean space. Well stocked with everything you could would want. Pretty close to the subway, and very close to a lot of great stuff in the east village. Also pretty easy to get to Brooklyn via the Williamsburg bridge. Would definitely stay again.

  • Matt’s place is cozy, clean, and comfortable. It is not located in the most ideal neighborhood, but it is blocks away from some cool areas, restaurants, and shops. I would recommend being very aware of your surroundings especially at night. At the end of the day, I had no regrets and the location was very central. Williamsburg was a quick 10 minute lyft away as well. Matt was communicative and the experience went smoothly. My only negative was staying across from the project housing and getting cat called and asked for money and smokes constantly.

    Jordan2018-05-21T00:00:00Z
  • I really enjoyed NY and Matias'loft:after a whole day in the freezing weather it was a real pleasure to come back to such a warm and comfortable loft! Matias is a very attentive host, always available for every need or question of his guests!

  • Antonio's place is in the center, great location! However it's on a first floor with entrance directly from a street (it's a bit uncomfortable) and close to a pizzeria. Except this everything was good, easy check-in/check-out, good flat for two or one. Thank you Antonio for hosting us.

A wonderful bedroom with three adult-height windows with incredible East Village & Park views with a full-sized bed is yours. It's literally in front of Tompkins Square Park in the heart of the East Village in Manhattan. This is a charming quintessential NYC building that would enrich your stay (built in 1900!) Some info: -Shared bathroom -Brand-new bed -Fresh sheets and towels -AC & heating -Wifi -Closet space -Massive windows -4th floor in walk-up building -Virtual doorman -Dishwasher
You will be in the heart of the East Village, in an extremely green area (because of Tompkins Square Park), very quiet and yet full of great places to visit (fun fact: there are seven restaurants/lounges on my block alone! Not to mention small groceries stores in my block and a large supermarket one block away)
  • Awesome location, especially for restaurant people. Room was clean and quiet. Great hosts.

  • Alfredo and Brayan saved my marriage 10/10

    Carl2018-08-22T00:00:00Z
  • Great spot in the East Village, located near the L train. Affordable location in Manhattan and the host, Alfredo, was very attentive and personable. The actual apartment itself is very cozy and the room I had was refreshing—good views of the streets. Note that if you want more seclusion, there is a room closer to the “center” of the apt...but I prefer the views and spaciousness of the former! The location is especially great for someone who is looking for local flavor and willing to explore a bit. If you are a first time visitor to NYC, I would consider the location relative to what you want to see first/most. This location again has great local vibe—you get to experience the youthful energy of East Village, located next to some great local restaurants and walkable to the Flatiron Building, Madison Square Park and Union Square. If you love walking like I do, you can walk to Central Park in 1-1.5 hours. Otherwise wherever you want to go can be done in 1-2 train rides! Personal recommendation for spots to eat nearby: Tompkins Square Bagel, Katz Deli, Russ & Daughters, Boris & Horton Coffee Shop, Lombardi Pizza, Black Barn (for Sunday Brunch), Lombardi’s Pizza, Eleven Madison Park (if you want to be fancy), Caracas Arepas Parks: Tompkins Park is neat but so are nearby Union Square Park and Madison Square Park Shopping: Great spots all over Manhattan, and nearby Attractions: walking distance to Flatiron Building, one train ride away from The Highline and Whitney Museum, slightly longer walk to 9/11 Memorial

  • Alfredo's place was well located for a visit to Manhattan. We explored downtown, financial district, mid-town and more from this apartment. Alfredo was very communicative and let us keep our luggage in the common area to accommodate our travel plans. The room is as described, but I would note it is quite small, so I think it would be a tight fit for 3 people. Beyond that, it is a nice place to stay during a visit to New York.

    Caroline2018-06-10T00:00:00Z
  • Place is just as described on ad. Room is a bit small if you are a couple with 2 big luggages. 15 min walk from subway

    Julia2017-09-17T00:00:00Z
  • Great location, fun spot, well cared for space. Alfredo was very available and flexible. Check in and check out were a cinch. We were very happy we brought earplugs for traffic/bar noise at night.

Read Entire Listing before booking Super convenient two bedroom apartment across the street for the F train. Two comfortable beds in separate rooms. Full kitchen with eat in area. Best neighborhood in NYC, real experience. Hip bars, restaurants, cafes just steps away! Fifth floor walk up, so pack what you can carry.
Please read the ENTIRE listing-- thank you! Best neighborhood in NYC, real experience. This apartment is located in Chinatown/Lower East Side. My apartment is well kept, it was renovated, but the building's stairs and hallways are rundown. Unfortunately, the hallways are not cared for but apartment is in great condition. Its has two NYC sized bedrooms, both rooms have Queen sized beds. There is a lot of windows, good air. Easy place to make yourself at home! New York apartments are small, so do not expect a huge apartment. It is a humble, homey space. Chill host - chill guest! Private bathroom with tub/shower. Full Kitchen with little eat in area. Roof Access- nothing fancy but its a great view! Fun, safe neighborhood, lively day and night! Many hip restaurants, cafes and bars steps away! Laundromat around the corner. WIFI. F train is across the street, you can be anywhere in NYC in no time!! It is on the 5th floor in a walk up-- NO ELEVATOR. It's an old building and unfortunately the stairs are smelly but its an old school nyc tenement building ! My apartment is redone, clean and smells fresh! but it is a work out to get there. What to expect: A great NYC experience A great host A great booty, stairs are a workout = free gym! Chinese neighbors - nice but messy in the stairs An honest chill host who wants happy guests Anything you need during your trip, I am happy to help. Please feel free to message me with any questions. Thanks for looking!
The Lower East Side is a lovely neighborhood full of color! There is a new wave of galleries opening up. Hester Street Market is on the weekends were you can find jewelry, vintage and snacks! The lower east side is a very old neighborhood, it hosts the Tenement Museum, a fabulous museum that explores early immigrant's lives. I suggest to look up Lower East Side NYC to get a better idea of great things to do and what to expect. The apartment comes with a list of nearby restaurants, cafes and bars. It is not the Upper East Side, the streets are not bleached every morning by doorman. So yes, you may see crazy graffiti or a peddler selling books for a buck. Its downtown NYC- its real. NOTE: If you cannot do stairs or expect hotel like accommodations then this place is not for you. I invite people into my home to experience a cultural exchange which is the essence of AirBnB. People from all cultural backgrounds are welcome.
  • Arielle and Ahmed were gracious and helpful. The apartment was as described, small but clean. We were only there to sleep and it fit our needs. A convenient and interesting location for our itinerary on this visit. We managed the stairs despite our aging knees - we are all mid 70's! Thanks Arielle, you made our NYC stay a pleasant possibility.

  • The host is very accommodating of our arriving time and check out time due to our many pieces of luggage for the 16 day trip( 11 days on cruise). We checked in earlier and check out late w/ luggage stay in the premises so that we may do our sight seeing. Inside the unit , floor , kitchen & bath room is neat & remodeled with granite counter top. Noise level is ok. It was a shock with graffiti entrance door, dirty hall way and no elevator( it was mentioned in the AD but I did not pay attention till arrival).

    Della2015-10-16T00:00:00Z
  • A fabulous location just steps away from the East Broadway F subway station makes this an ideal base for visiting NYC. The neighborhood looks a little intimidating but we felt comfortable and safe at all times. There is a 24 hour bodega on the corner and a good bagel shop next to it. If you’re looking for corporate consistency there is a McDonalds and a Dunkin Donuts right around the corner in addition to a pharmacy and several different ethnic restaurants. In a five story walk up (European floor numbering), it really is up five flights of rather steep, narrow stairs that can be quite exerting if you are older, out of shape, and/or have multiple and/or heavy bags. The living/dining/kitchen area is maybe 6 x 6 so it is really a tight space for four people or even two large people. There is a wall-attached folding 4x4 table and two plastic stools, a very small desk chair and a small unpadded chair base for table seating. Don’t plan on doing much cooking or dining, it will be awkward, crowded and not too comfortable. We found eating a breakfast bagel and sipping cup of coffee was the extent of dining we could handle. There is also a folding chair/futon we found to be useful only as a good place to stack our bags. The bedrooms were as expected, the master larger, the second bedroom was tight. We ended up with our luggage and having to dress/change in living area. Bathroom was as expected and kitchen supplies were the normal. There is no television, so it will encourage conversation with your cohabitants. This apartment is an economical ideal place if you want to see the sights of the city and aren’t planning on spending time here except to sleep, shower, change clothes and munch a snack. Arial was a super nice host, replied quickly to any questions, and helpful with suggestions.

    Jamie2018-03-28T00:00:00Z
  • The appartment is really tiny, there's no room to sit together comfortably after a busy day. The beds are nice and clean, which is very important! The bathroom is small but ok, the shower is really good and has lots of warm water at any time. The wifi is excellent! There was little room to put your personal belongings (and your suitcases) but we made do with the little cabinets by the bed. The 5 flights of stairs are indeed a bit off putting, not just because of the climb but more so because they are smelly & dirty. We liked the local neighbourhood but some visitors might feel a bit intimidated. Ahmed was very helpful with our luggage, thanks for waiting by the door to meet us! Arielle left nice tips to eat, Gohan is truly a hidden gem and a must try! Thank you, A & A!

  • Arielle's apartment provides a true authentic experience. Check in was easy and the apartment was spotless. Easy commute to anywhere in town.

    Kristin2018-06-11T00:00:00Z
  • This place is quite and clean. Just 3min walk to Subway. Many restaurants choices around. Arielle is awesome, she responded everything quickly. She is nice and definitely helpful. If I have a chance, I will choose here again. (Wi-Fi is not that reliable, that's the only inconvenience for us.)

    Zheng2018-03-15T00:00:00Z
  • + : The flat is well located in lower Manhattan, rather quiet and it's a good spot to visit the city. Arielle responded really quickly to all my requests. Her boyfriend was very accomodating because we arrived at the flat later than we thought. - : There is a very nasty smell in the stairs and in the apartment, in spite of the deodorants in every room. We met some cockroaches each time we came back to the flat. Finally, we didn't cook at the place as expected because it wasn't really clean.

    Apolline2014-06-08T00:00:00Z
  • Great location - right next to East Broadway subway station and easy walking to SOHO and the Village. Neighborhood has good restaurants and cafes. Arielle was very friendly and responsive. The apartment has comfortable beds (2 bedrooms, each has a double bed, which is hard to find in Manhattan). Note that it is a 5th floor walk-up.

  • The location was perfect for stopping by throughout the day without it being inconvenient. The room was a good size and had only the most basic amenities, and appropriate for the price. The room felt quiet for New York and I loved how comfortable the bed was.

    Camille2017-05-14T00:00:00Z
  • Great location with metro right around the corner. Comfortable bed and pillows. Can’t go wrong with this place. Na responds immediately to you. Don’t think about it just book it.

-A bedroom in a three bedroom apartment. This place is perfect for younger people in their 20s,/early 30s tourists, travelers, and students looking for a very central area to explore New York City who plan to spend most of their time outside exploring the city -It is a 3rd floor walkup so may not be suited for older people -Blocks away from two major subway lines and in the middle of the most indie and trendy neighborhood in NYC.
-Large bedroom (for the area) with a Full-sized bed with a window into the courtyard -There is a great view of the LES from the rooftop of the walkup -Wifi and central heating -Please note this particular room does not have a closet. There are hooks on the back of the room door however -Shared bathroom
The Lower East Side is the most indie and dynamic part of Manhattan. It is the most densely populated with art gallerias, boutique shops, and bars. Even more than Brooklyn!
  • Very solid place

  • Great space, and communicative host

    Dmitry2017-01-16T00:00:00Z
  • D is friendly and very swift to answer communication, as well as thorough and clear with expectations and what to do. His place was neat and organized, and located very conveniently to restaurants, bars, and public transit. Very satisfied, I would recommend/stay again.

    Rylie2018-02-03T00:00:00Z
  • Great host. He made our stay very simple with checkin and checkout, and was friendly and helpful throughout the stay, while still allowing us privacy. Apartment is in a great location, super cool neighborhood and truly close to some of the major subway lines, which made getting pretty much everywhere very simple. Had a great stay I highly recommend it!

    Joe2017-07-18T00:00:00Z
  • Great location and a very friendly host who is attentive and polite. The place itself needs some deep cleaning though. Otherwise, room was quiet and check-in went smooth and there were some cute little restaurants right outside our door.

  • Overall nice stay but the room is quite small and very warm in hot and humid weather - I have suggested a fan. Also note that if you want a quite place to stay this room may not be for you as it comes with a lot of noise outside the window. Great location and value for money.

  • This is a great place to stay if you are in the city for work or vacation. It is in a great location to catch the bus or subway. The rooftop patio has great city views and the room is clean and comfortable. The building is safe and secure. I would certainly stay here again next time I visit.

  • Nora’s place is great. Superb location in a vibrant neighborhood.

    Aida Elena2018-10-09T00:00:00Z
  • Nora's a kind host and runs a smooth operation. I had a great stay.

    Nevin2017-03-30T00:00:00Z
  • Very clean, convenient spot. Wifi was a plus and the private bathroom was nice. I did not use the shower.

    Anna2018-08-28T00:00:00Z
  • Such a great apartment, very spacious, clean, quiet at night. Elevator was a big plus! I felt really comfortable there and actually even used washer dryer in the building, as was travelling for a while. Loved the neighbourhood, it was so much to do, but didn't feel touristy. Really recommend Nora's place.

    Aura2016-12-01T00:00:00Z
  • The host canceled this reservation 92 days before arrival. This is an automated posting.

    Christopher2018-05-02T00:00:00Z
  • We stayed at Nora's place for five nights. It was affordable and the location was great. We never actually met her, and shared the apartment with another couple. They were wonderful people and our stay was enjoyable.

    Daniel2017-08-01T00:00:00Z
  • Nora's house was so perfect for me! Especially the room and the shower were so nice. I could use hair dryer and some utensils:) Also the location was so perfect. If you guys want to travel the central and popular spots of manhattan, for sure, you can easily get there from Nora's house. Anyway, I really want to stay here again! :):)

  • Blair's place is great and the location is fantastic. Highly recommend!

    Katelyn2018-11-15T00:00:00Z
  • Blair’s apartment was very welcoming and a nice place to unwind. It’s close enough to nightlife/restaurants/bars but far enough that it’s not terribly noisy. Blair was very communicative and always responded to my messages quickly. Great host and a cute, small apartment.

    Aemma2018-01-11T00:00:00Z
  • Blair's apartment is located in beautiful Greenwich Village. Many restaurants and bars and Washington Square Park are just minutes away. The connection to the subway network is great, because of the central location you can get everywhere really fast. The apartment is small but clean, the bed is comfortable and it is quiet. It is located on the 2nd floor without elevator. Blair was always very helpful and friendly in response to our requests.

    Marcus2018-10-11T00:00:00Z
  • Great locations, accommodating host, would book again in the future. Thanks Blair!

    Victoria2018-01-14T00:00:00Z
  • nice cosy place in very good location...communication perfect

    Henning2018-10-18T00:00:00Z
  • Blair’s flat is cosy but spacious at the same time. Although you are right in the Greenwich Village you don’t hear much of outside noises. The WiFi speed and Netflix programs were absolutely fantastic (our boy loved the kids programs). Blair was very responsive with any query we had about the kitchen appliances or any other query we had about the flat. He also is very thoughtful and attentive, he was so nice and left for us coffee for the filter coffee machine, creamer and brought us plastic bags for the rubbish. If we come back to NYC would definitely come back to this place and would recommend it to friends.

    Silvia2018-07-07T00:00:00Z
  • We had a great time, and Blair's place is very charming and functional.

    Dana Scott2018-07-08T00:00:00Z
  • I only had the quickest of stays at Blair's place for a work trip, but it was perfect for me. Pick up and drop off of keys was easy, though it was a bit out of the way for me — it was a 7 min walk west, so if you're coming from/going to somewhere east of the apt, know that you'll have to walk a little more.

  • Mimi’s apartment is situated right in the heart of Lower East Side, Manhattan - a perfect location for someone who wants to immerse themselves in NY life. There are loads of bars, restaurants, shops in the area and plenty to do. Subway is a 2 min walk and from there you can easily travel around the city. The apartment is on the 4th floor with some nice views and was actually nice and cosy on a particular cold NY weekend when I visited. I didn’t get to Mimi in person but all her communication was spot on and check-in/check was a breeze! Only wishing I could go back to NY again soon!

    Stephen2018-02-04T00:00:00Z
  • The appartment is very well located. Appartment is spacious and clean.

    Brian2016-10-12T00:00:00Z
  • Had a great time staying at Mimi's place! Great spot, close to shops, bars and restaurants and the subway is 30 seconds away. Defiantly recommend staying here!

  • Great apt, great location!

    Rick2017-05-11T00:00:00Z
  • Central flat in Lower East Side (close from the Williamsburg bridge). Shops, restaurants and clubs but the apartment is really calm. Mimi wasn't here but really present and reactive (ans special thanks to her cleaning lady who she has been a precious help). The flat is confortable, clean and with a beautiful view.

    Benjamin2017-10-22T00:00:00Z
  • We definitely struck gold with this place. The location is superb with the metro around the corner and most of our favourite restaurants and bars within walking distance. The flat itself was immaculate with everything you could need, it was also nice and warm which was much needed given the cold NYC weather. Mimi as a host was great, quick responses and very helpful. If I come back to NYC I won't hesitate to stay here again - thank you Mimi!

    Laura2018-11-12T00:00:00Z
  • Staying at Mimi’s was amazing. The check in instructions were clear and easy to follow, her communication was wonderful, the flat was spotless and the location INCREDIBLE. We could WALK into Chinatown/ financial district/ SoHo/ East Village/ Greenwich village and walking around NYC is just the best. The immediate locale has amazing bars cafes and restaurants, couldn’t recommend it highly enough. Thanks Mimi for a great time!

A sunny recently renovated apartment with lovely views. My apartment is located in the heart of downtown. A lot of restaurants, bars, shops just around the corner. Only steps away from the World Trade Center, Wall Street or Battery Park. During the day a lot of action in the area and quiet at night. No need to look further, you found the right place for your NYC stay!
  • My entire stay was amazing. Alicia and Adam made sure everything was perfect and were available for any of my questions. I will stay here again.

    Ward2018-06-21T00:00:00Z
  • Absolutely perfect location, great little apartment with an amazing view of Manhattan. Really enjoyed our stay here.

    Carlos2018-04-16T00:00:00Z
  • Alicia's place is a true New York Gem for the price. Of course New York is ALWAYS pricey in Manhattan but Alicia's apartment is well worth the fee. It's close to all the important subway stops, its spacious for New York, it's very well equipped, it's very clean and very comfortable. We actually left our hotel at the Marriott Residence Inn by the World Trade Center to stay at Alicia's apartment and we were much happier with her apartment. It is a perfect place for a young couple or a family with kids or anyone looking to stay in a great upscale apartment for a trip to New York. Adam, who assisted us with our check in was also very helpful and thoughtful. Thanks again for making our last two nights in Manhattan unforgettable. We will definitely try to stay with Alicia again in the future when we visit New York.

    Russell2018-05-08T00:00:00Z
  • A lovely apartment in a very convenient downtown location. I stayed here for a few days with my retired mother for a family wedding. The kitchen has enough equipment to cook simple meals and the TVs (living room and bedroom) are very impressive. The bathroom is fine too. It's all compact but by the standard of city apartments - and certainly for New York - I thought there was plenty of space. My one concern was the that apartment wasn't quite set up for the second 'bed' (a sofa bed) being used: there wasn't the bedding and the blinds don't close perfectly, which means the sun is shining right in at dawn. If you're my height (6'3"/190cm) it won't be fun either. Not a problem of course if you're only using the one bedroom: and that bed, so I am reliably informed, is first class!

    Hamish2018-05-23T00:00:00Z
  • Great location!! Close to subway station. Cool apartment and great view!!

    Linnea2018-05-06T00:00:00Z
  • It’s a nice trip, the host is patient and kind. Everything is clean, And the apartment is really safe and convenient for traffic. It’s definitely a good choice for stay in NYC.

    Ziqi2018-03-18T00:00:00Z
  • Alicia‘s apartment, is modest. However, it’s reasonably priced and clean as well as comfortable. We didn’t spend much time in the apartment except to sleep And eat breakfast. From this location you can walk to battery Park, One World Trade Center, the 911 museum, Southport Sea Port, where you can take fairies to Brooklyn or Midtown. It’s also walkable to battery Park. Best of all you can hop on the Fulton Street subway station and get to anywhere in the city.

    Kathleen2018-06-30T00:00:00Z
  • Very clean. In the heart of the city, yet no noise coming from neighbors or the street. Literally steps from the subway and several restaurants, convenience stores. Air conditioned, Netflix available. Would recommend and would stay again. Thank you :)

Our brand new pad is located in the most convenient and coolest neighborhood in NYC. This newly renovated pad with all new appliances is great for a short or long stay and is located minutes away from SOHO, in the center of NYC's historic LES.
This is a brand new, renovated one bedroom stocked with everything you need for a long or short stay in NYC. We provide towels, linens, all kitchen ware and utensils as well as all bathroom essentials (shampoo, conditioner, bodywash). We have a queen bed, and a queen sofa bed. Wifi and cable is also included.
We are in the middle of the iconic lower east side, right near the infamous katz's deli and many other renowned restaurants, cafes, bars and amazing shopping. We are also steps away from the east village and soho. Whole foods is 5 blocks from our apartment as well as the most interesting and eclectic tourism in NYC. We are 2 blocks from the F train that will take you anywhere in minutes.
  • Lovely apartment close to the subway and loads of restaurants. The only real issue we had was with the check in. We didn't get information regarding door code and apartment number, and Mercedes did not answer her phone even though she was supposed to check us in. However, once we got in all was forgotten since the place itself is great! The size is perfect for two and the apt was clean and contained the basic necessities. Decently equipped kitchen, we were pleasantly surprised by the dishwasher :)

  • Mariya's place is literally in the heart of the Lower East Side - I could not recommend a better location for a weekend getaway! It was in a lively neighborhood next to all the restaurants and bars, but the apartment itself was quiet. The space is stylish and clean, and ideal for two!

    Christine2018-06-17T00:00:00Z
  • Great location in Manhattan, nice and cosy appartment!

    Maxime2018-07-01T00:00:00Z
  • Fab location - great neighbourhood for eating and drinking, and very central to local transport to other areas. Great host who met us with a warm welcome, and were easy to contact during our 5day stay. Awesome first Airbnb experience in magical NYC, thanks Mercedes and Mariya!

    Alexandra2016-09-19T00:00:00Z
  • The apt is perfect! It’s small, but clean, efficient, quiet, and close to lots of shops, food, nightlife, and on and on. If you’re traveling for work, it’s totally ideal!! I’ll definitely try to stay again if the place is available.

    Jacob2017-11-15T00:00:00Z
  • This apartment is in a great location in regards to public transit and restaurants/bars. There was no hot water the first night we arrived, but Mariya promptly resolved the issue. The linens weren't in the greatest shape; for the price of the apartment, it would be nice to have clean, matching sheets instead of a hodge lodge of different comforters and fitted sheets. The floor needed to be swept and the amenities (a jumbled mess of a variety of shower products and toilet paper rolls mixed in with cleaning supplies) weren't the nicest for the price of the apartment. Overall, not my favorite Airbnb experience, but the location was great and "customer service" was excellent.

    Sara2017-05-08T00:00:00Z
  • A very strong introductory experience with Airbnb! Or host was professional warm and efficient in all of our interactions. Lore was quite welcoming on site and patiently answered any questions we might've had. The space was well-appointed and the decor was tasteful. We would gladly come back to this space!

    Russ2016-02-14T00:00:00Z
  • We stayed for five nights with two adults and two teenagers, each with a small roller bag. The place is lovely and small. I would not recommend for four full sized people and four bags, for two people it would be perfect. But the location is ideal, close to lots to do. The apartment was as shown and clean. Mariya always responded promptly and Mercedes was very helpful.
