Church
“Norwich's magnificent Romanesque Cathedral is open to visitors of all faiths and none. In beautiful grounds it's an awe-inspiring, welcoming building with spectacular architecture, magnificent art and a fascinating history. One of the finest complete Romanesque cathedrals in Europe, with the second tallest spire and largest monastic cloisters in England, it houses more than a thousand beautiful medieval roof boss sculptures. Licensed Refectory restaurant beside the cloisters. Host to orchestral concerts, choral concerts, jazz ensembles and lectures.”

Historic Site
“With a stunning location on the north Norfolk coast and at the heart of a thriving 25,000 acre estate, Holkham Hall is described as an exceptional place, rich in history, architecture and wildlife. The seat of the Earls of Leicester, this elegant 18th century mansion is still very much a lived-in family home which the family take pride in sharing with visitors. The hall is an elegant 18th century Palladian style house, based on designs by William Kent and built by Thomas Coke, 1st Earl of Leicester. The Marble Hall is a spectacular introduction to this imposing building, with its 50ft pressed plaster dome ceiling and walls of English alabaster, not marble as its name implies. Stairs lead to magnificent state rooms displaying superb collections of ancient statuary, original furniture, tapestries and paintings by Rubens, Van Dyck, Claude, Gaspar Poussin and Gainsborough.”

Museum
“Norwich Castle was completed in 1121, although originally designed to be a Royal Palace, no Norman King actually ever lived in it. In 1883 worked started to convert the Castle into a museum, opening in 1894, which it still exists as today! The Museum has incredible archaeology, natural history, regimental history galleries, as well as fine decorative and contemporary art. Tours of the castle keep, battlements, dungeons and Victorian Shirehall courthouse are available. It’s a great day out for kids and adults alike and is a wonderfully interesting educational environment. The castle is open all year round, Monday to Sunday with admissions for a family (with 2 adults) available at £34.85. Visit here for more information and prices. ”
