A coffee mug? A pig? Anything seems to be possible at Allie's Donuts in North Kingstown, where brightly decorated, soft, airy doughnuts — and oversized doughnut cakes — lure crowds that sometimes stretch around the block.”

Museum
“Washington’s face on the dollar bill is one of the most widely recognized portraits of him. Famed artist Gilbert Stuart was born here in 1755. He painted many important figures like John Adams, James Madison, and of course, George Washington. The authentically restored 18th century home is attached to an operating 18th century snuff mill, the first in America, with water wheel. The museum's art gallery features a permanent collection of original Gilbert Stuart paintings as well as changing exhibitions of original work by other artists. Built in 1751, the home and nearby 18th century grist mill are open for tours. The property also has trails, a herb garden, and a boat dock.”

From the abandoned Sea View Trolley line to cedar forests and holly trees, and amazing seashell-covered shoreline. Take in some great views of Bissell Cove, Jamestown, and Fox Island.”

“Bananas Foster artisanal granola from Providence-based Beautiful Day is just one of the potential scores at the Coastal Growers' Market on a summer Saturday. The market is held weekly from 8:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. at historic Casey Farm in Saunderstown, a village just about a 12-minute drive north of the Narragansett Town Beach. Sample gourmet food items made in Rhode Island, shop for fresh produce and tuck into a large lunch.”

“Worth the trip! This is a cute outdoor restaurant that sits along the canal in Wickford. Be sure to get a table closest to the canal so you can watch the fish, and the ducks swimming while enjoying a tasty lunch or dinner. Sunsets are gorgeous from this spot. On rainy days, they do have seating inside. ”
