  • Thanks for a lovely stay. Lovely views, and we had great weather which made it a great peaceful break away from our busy lives! Comfy sofa bed - had a great sleep, loved the log burner and did not realise there was a fire pit also outside which we could have used! We brought board games, I liked the fairy lights and candles. Compost toilet wasn't an issue for just 2 nights. Great walks to Moel Famou and the surrounding area. We ate lunch at a countryside pub - GlasFryn - recommended by Jenny - great views and good food and service! We look forward to exploring more of wales now. :).

  • We had a lovely, cosy stay at the bothy. The bothy is very cute. Although near road, you couldn’t hear any noise at night, only the wind outside and the cracklings of the log burner and the view of the hills in the morning is glorious.Jenny was very attentive and friendly. Thanks for having us.

Please note this property is separate from the house with access independently - may be suitable alternative to a hotel. Converted loft above a detached garage. Studio space, with en-suite bathroom. Located in a pretty village, with a variety of pubs and close to city and countryside.
The space is small, but everything is included; a bedroom and lounge area, with table for 2 and kitchen utensils. There is a kettle, toaster, mini fridge and new microwave/grill. Please note that the ceiling is sloped and the shower is located in the sloped roof area, so has limited headroom for taller people.
The location is 5 minutes walk from the centre of Hawarden village. This is a historic village with castle grounds and central street with picturesque buildings. Four good pubs which also serve food are within 10 minutes walk.
  • Great location and good value

  • Great little place for an overnight stay in a quiet location. Lots of little thoughtful touches from the host. The host was very helpful. The only negative was the wifi signal was non-existent most of the time and there was no mobile phone or 4G signal.

    Alison2020-01-12T00:00:00Z
  • Claire’s place was exactly as described and as lovely as all of the previous reviews. Check in was super easy, and having private access was really nice. There were loads of thoughtful touches throughout including festive decorations. All in all, a lovely stay.

    Emma2019-12-26T00:00:00Z
  • Lovely quiet spot. Great to be in your own space and has everything you need to be cozy for the night. Claire has even put the heating on for us and added a few festive touches too. No fuss no hassle just a great place to stay.

  • Such a gorgeous Air BnB! June and her husband welcomed us as soon as we arrived, showing us to the room and telling us about the amenities. June left us a lovely breakfast and was very helpful with her advice of how to get around the local area and to Chester. The room was spacious with a TV, small kitchen area, storage and bathroom. We would definitely recommend to anyone wanting to get away for a weekend to a lovely town (we recommend the farm shop cafe) or as a great place out of Chester for a quieter stay. We'll definitely be back as the hospitality was incredible, thank you June!

A cosy, quirky, quaint, clean and comfortable self-contained barn conversion on first floor and accessed via outside stone steps in courtyard of old farm buildings. Located five minutes from A55 and adjacent to Halkyn Mountain, an ideal touring base for exploring our local area and beyond, great pubs and restaurants, theatres, market towns, the beaches and castles of Wales Coast/Snowdonia or Chester/Liverpool. It is very small, but fully equipped with modern facilities with character features.

Elegant modern one bedroom apartment with solid wood floors and underfloor heating throughout perfectly situated just off the main high street in Mold town center, within a short walking distance is the amazing Just Steak restaurant and Alexanders coffee shop serving an excellent breakfast.
The space is compact so not ideal for 4 people however it will accommodate 4 people using the living space sofa bed if need be. The bathroom is en suite so access is through the bedroom, it has a walk-in shower with no bath. The living space has a 32" smart LED TV with Netflix access and sky Q, a double sofa bed and a dinning table with 4 chairs. The kitchen has everything you need including a tasimo coffee machine.
  • Place was great, really clean and tidy. Ideally located in the centre of Mold and the communication with the host was quick and easy. Very accommodating, having little things like milk and tea bags in there was really appreciated. Would definitely stay again.

    Gareth2020-03-05T00:00:00Z

  • Beautiful place in a fantastic location

    Monica2020-01-26T00:00:00Z
  • The flat had everything we needed for a comfortable stay. It's conveniently located, lots of shops within a short walking distance. The kitchen is fully equipped and there's tea, coffee and milk on arrival (very common with AirBnB stays, but not guaranteed, so a nice thoughtful touch). The whole process of communication, arriving and leaving was smooth. We'd definitely stay again. (For those sharing the apartment with others, it might be useful to know that the only bathroom/toilet is in the only bedroom.)

    Rebecca2020-01-19T00:00:00Z

Our loft apartment is modern light and spacious . It has been beautifully refurbished and contains everything needed for a self catering break. It is located in Nannerch, a small village in an area of outstanding natural beauty. There is a great village pub serving food most evenings and there are lots of local walks on the doorstep. The apartment is also convenient for all the attractions of North Wales including Snowdonia and Anglesey and only 20 miles from the Roman city of Chester.
The apartment is detached from our property. It has its own front door with a private parking space next to it so you can come and go as you please . Our family home is across the courtyard and so we are on hand to help with any queries you may have and offer as much or as little support as you are happy with. Access can be gained via a keysafe. Note that access is up one flight of stairs. The apartment is beautifully furnished to a high standard and has everything you require for a self catering break. A small welcome pack is provided with a few basic items such as tea , coffee, and milk. There is a small private outside space to the back of the apartment with table and chairs. We do accept 1 well behaved dog with a charge of £10 payable before departure .
Nannerch is a lovely village at the foot of the Clwydian Hills with lots of beautiful walks on the doorstep. There is a great village pub that does food most evenings that you can walk to and several other lovely eating places just a short drive away. The apartment is an ideal rural retreat suited to walking, cycling, sightseeing or visiting friends locally. The market town of Mold is a 15 min drive away. Here there are more restaurants, supermarkets, shops and Theatre Clwyd. Chester is 30 mins away with its cathedral, city walls, shopping rows, museums and zoo. Snowdonia and Anglesey are approx 1 hour away and the sandy beaches of the North Wales coast approx 30 mins away .
  • A wonderful place to spend a few days away, couldn't have wished for any more with our stay at the loft. Tracy was a fabulous host, gave us a lovely welcome and couldn't have done enough for us. The apartment was immaculately presented, super clean, and the bed was the most comfortablewe have ever slept on. Great touches, even introduced my wife to the game of Yahtzee, some little games were a fab touch. Thank you Tracy and Mark, we hope to see you again.

  • This is a lovely place to stay. Very relaxing. Ellie is a great host. This was our second visit. We were able to make use of the balcony this time which was nice. We hadn't realised on our first one-night stay earlier in the year that there was crockery and cutlery. So this is very useful if you wanted to bring food back. We're looking forward to our next stay.

  • This is a fantastic location for anyone attending events at Soughton Hall. It is literally a 5 minute walk up the drive across the road, and much cheaper than staying on site!! A lovely, cosy, little flat with a large bathroom. We loved watching the bunnies jumping around in the field and found our stay very comfortable. The directions provided were clear, the location was easy to find and Ellie was a fantastic host, helping us out where she could and gave us some great info regarding the local services. The room and bathroom were very clean and a light breakfast was provided. I would definitely stay here again and thoroughly recommend it for events at the Hall. Thanks for your hospitality Ellie, it was a pleasure. Cath & Matt x

Lambing time Feb to April an experience not to be missed. Our static caravan is situated on a working farm in the hills of North Wales overlooking the the Dee estuary and wirral peninsula. Chester is 20 minutes by car and snowdonia about 50 minutes away.
You have 100 acres of our farm land to roam and 2000 acres of common land right next door with open access. Dogs should be kept on a lead in most areas on the farm. please ask if you want somewhere for your dog to run free.
We are next to 2000 acres of common land where your free to roam the mountain paths alongside the local sheep. There are 3 public Houses within walking distance a village shop 1.5 miles away open till 10pm and 24hr shop within 2 miles
  • A wonderful stay at a beautiful location. The static home was bigger than we expected, the lounge/diner/kitchen was more than big enough for 2 adults and a child. Well equipped kitchen, and the lounge boasts a fantastic view from 2 comfortable armchairs. The main bedroom is a decent size with its own toilet and a walk in wardrobe area. The main bathroom is a good size with a great shower cabin. Although it is based on a working farm, it is barely noticeable and very tranquil. And Hayden went the extra mile, allowing us to watch lambing up close, and our granddaughter collecting fresh eggs from the chicken coup.

  • We really enjoyed our weekend break at Hayden’s cosy mobile home. Lovely and warm, fabulous shower and a great layout. We saw the new born lambs and bought eggs that couldn’t have been fresher. Hayden and his Father John were very friendly and helpful. We had a packed day in Liverpool, about half an hour away. Can really recommend the Ferry across the Mersey cruise and the Museum.

The caravan itself is spacious and warm, it has comfy chairs and a sofa to relax in as well as good cooking facilities and a hot shower. Hayden is a friendly and helpful host.

Newly refurbished, fully equipped studio house, ideally located for easy access to North Wales and Chester. Walking distance to historic market town of Mold for shops, pubs, restaurants and Theatre Clwyd.
Easy accommodation within walking distance of Mold town centre and Theatre Clwyd Cymru. Private Parking space.
Mold is a bustling Welsh market town full of history, a interesting mix of shops, a twice weekly market as well as a range of pubs and restaurants offering locally produced food and drink.
  • I stay at this little house on a regular basis as I travel to Mold to visit family. The house is always sparkling clean, warm and welcoming with everything that I need. There is always information on display about whats on locally and the house its-self is well located, close to public transport links and also main routes into Wales, Cheshire and onto the Wirral. I can highly recommend Janes wee house for a business stop over or as a base for exploring this beautiful part of the world. Tanya

  • A comfortable and convenient house, central to town. Very quiet and private dwelling at end of cul-de-sac. In easy reach of stores and a pub. Plenty of bedding and kitchen utensils. Jane is an excellent host and made sure we were settled for our trip.

  • A well-situated and well-equipped house in a nice, quiet estate, that is perfectly located for shopping, the local market and the superstores. There is a local theatre nearby that you can walk to in about 20-30 minutes. The nearest pub is staggering distance close and noted for excellent food, but It is so quiet you wouldn’t know it was there.

  • Dale greeted me on arrival and showed me around . She is friendly and ensured I knew how to contact her if needed. The flat is ideal for a couple or lone traveller. It was perfect for me. The flat is modern and very comfortable. I was able to truely relax at the flat. Dale lives above the flat but it's very private and secure. I would highly recommend Dale as a host and her flat for a stay

    Jane2020-03-11T00:00:00Z
  • The flat annexe is cosy, stylish, comfortable, clean, quiet and the host has provided all the necessary things to make it a home away from home. Dale was particularly understanding about us having to travel a long way after a busy day, which delayed the check-in time. (highly appreciate it! ) .The weather didn’t help at all for exploring the surroundings but the place was warm and there was even Netflix available. Many thanks again for hosting us, Dale, we would gladly book again in the future!

    Cristina2020-02-22T00:00:00Z
  • Great little annex. Small but has all that you’d need, kept lovely and clean. There is a cat in the main house which goes into the annex (I have a cat allergy and it flared up terribly). No problem if no cat allergy.

This is a newly refurbished cottage, which was originally a farm workers cottage, on a dairy farm. It’s quaint and very nicely finished. The log burner makes the sitting room very cosy. The cottage is attached to a stable block, and forms a u-shape of out-buildings, including our carpentry workshop. The main farmhouse is close by, but separate. We have large gardens, which guest are welcome to use, including a barbecue and pizza oven. Rural location, but close to lots of amenities.
The property is located in the middle of four fields, so feels quite rural. It’s cosy and nicely decorated and we’ve aimed to make it very comfortable for our guests. We’ve selected bedding with a high thread count and luxurious towels.
We have good walks from the cottage, including Wepre Park and Hawarden Park. We have 4 pubs within 20 minutes walk and a fine dining restaurant and gastro-pub within 45 minutes walk. www.theoldgrocery.co.uk (fine dining, 45 minutes walk, with cocktail bar on Friday & Saturday, in the little village next to us!) www.runningharepub.co.uk (family friendly, reasonable car very, 20 minutes walk). www.thegoodlifeexperience.co.uk (different twist on a festival with lots of different acts and activities 12 - 16 Sept 2019). Chester Zoo is absolutely excellent. We are a number or National Trust venues within an hours drive; Erddig, Chirk Castle, Durham Massey, Tatton Park.
  • This cottage is beautiful and very well equipped, from the beautiful decor, crockery and dishwasher to the log burner. The property is detached in the farm yard and secure for parking, and if you have a dog there are several paths leading from the gate through tracks and fields. Overall the cottage was perfect for us.

  • Gillian’s place is lovely, I’d very much recommend it. She is a kind and extremely helpful host and I wouldn’t hesitate to book again.

    Bethan2020-02-23T00:00:00Z
  • We had a fantastic short stay as a family of 4. The cottage is located off the road so it is peaceful and quiet but close enough to walk to a pub and to drive to all the local attractions. The extra touches and welcome gift were very much appreciated and the host went out of her way to offer advice or help if we needed it. The only thing we missed was a freezer compartment to freeze our ice packs for picnics, but the host froze them for our journey home. I would definitely recommend the cottage.

  • Beautiful room with Victorian decor. Great base for exploring Chester.

    Francis2017-07-23T00:00:00Z
  • I stayed at Roslyn's place with my boyfriend and his 72yr old mom for a weekend away in Chester and Chester Zoo. The drive to Chester was only 20 miles away from her house. We were welcomed by Roslyn's partner Steve, who was very attentive, kind and friendly. Roslyn is a nurse who works late shifts so she couldn't stay around too much but Steve was just the greatest. They also had a lovely labrador puppy named Max. I fell in love with him immediately. The house was very clean and tidy. It had a complete Edwardian/ Victorian feel, with gold and pastel colours, flower patterns and angel decorations. Roslyn has done a very good job at keeping the history of the house alive with a modern touch for today's needs. We immediately felt very comfortable and at home at Roslyn's place. Our bedrooms were enormous and my boyfriend's mom got to have her own room. Our bed was one of the most comfortable beds I've ever slept on away from home with beautiful white linens like the ones in expensive hotels. She also had a really nice Victorian bath we used at night to relax after long walks in Chester and the Chester zoo. And we could use the sitting room with a little electrical fire place and a nice big TV sipping on tea or take away from one of the many restaurant opposite the house. I would recommend Roslyn's and Steve's place to anyone. We got a great value for the little money she charged.

Ideal base for exploring North Wales attractions. The space is perfect for couples, solo travellers or those on business trips. Plenty of parking and secure bike storage available.
From the moment you reach our house you will say "Wow, what a view"! We overlook the town of Mold and far, far beyond. It is quiet and peaceful yet so close to the main A494T route into the heart of North Wales which make the location convenient for exploring and enjoying outdoor activities. The space: You enter the open plan living area to find a bright, airy and comfortable sitting room. There is a small hidden kitchen area consisting of sink, hot plate, fridge/freezer and microwave. Kettle, toaster and kitchen wear are provided at the breakfast bar. The space is perfect for preparing light snacks or meals but as we are only 500 yards away from a first class bar and restaurant offering a range of great food and drink, why not treat yourself to a meal out! The room benefits from underfloor heating as well as a convector heater. There is TV and Wifi. There is a comfortable double bed room with lots of storage space and TV. Fresh bed linen and hair dryer is provided. Just along the corridor is a shower room and toilet. All towels and toiletries are provided.
As part of a stone barn conversion, the flat is surrounded by typical Welsh landscape. We are within easy walking distance of Loggerheads Country Park and for those a little more ambition, Moel Famau, the highest point in Flintshire, is only a short drive away. We have the luxury of panoramic views across far reaching countryside from Liverpool, across Cheshire and The Pennines. There is plenty of garden to explore and numerous sunny seating areas where you can relax and take in the views after a days walking. Close by is Plas Hafod Hotel where you can fine excellent food and drink and very reasonable rates within walking distance.
  • Lovely, cozy cottage in a stunning location. Great walks nearby and Mold (with all the shops) is an easy drive away. The kitchen was well equipped and the extras left for us were hugely appreciated! Lots to do in the area and the hosts were lovely and super friendly.

    Sophie2020-02-22T00:00:00Z
  • Loved our stay! The place is even nicer than the photos. Jane included some extra touches that really made our stay over valentines weekend. Bottle of fizz, beers, fresh bread, cheese, ham, milk, butter, bottled water, apple juice. Fresh flowers. A rose and chocolates on the bed as a valentines treat. It really was lovely. Great selection of books for rainy (stormy) days . The bed is soooo comfy, and the shower is impossible to leave as it’s so good. We love this place and will be back in summer to make use of all the local walks and amazing views!

A newly renovated single storey cottage located next to the owner’s house nestled at the foot of the Clwyd Hills...…we are dog friendly. Ideal for a couple/small family/but please note, NOT suitable for children under 12. You are surrounded by captivating farmland with views of Moel Famau. The garden is shared with the owner but the cottage has a private enclosed patio area. Cadole sits conveniently between Mold (popular market town)and Ruthin (renowned for medieval architecture shops and pubs.
There are captivating farmland views from the large patio doors leading from the open plan living area. The kitchen is well equipped with two comfortable bedrooms. The décor is simple with welsh slate floors throughout apart from the carpeted bedrooms. A typical Welsh village pub is less than 5 minutes walk. The Loggerheads Country Park is approx. 10 to 15 mins walk providing beautiful woodland walks and a café.
Tyddyn Daws Bach is just a short distance either on foot or by car, to the Clwyd Hills; my favourite walks being to the top Moel Famau/Moel Arthur. The views offered are breath taking; showing the Vale of Clwyd, Denbighshire, the Clwyd Range and on a clear day, Snowdon. After a walk with my best friend( Seren the lab), which is very often, I like to pop into Caffi Florence in the Loggerheads Country Park for some locally cooked food.
  • We had a wonderful stay at Jacqueline's accommodation, it was amazingly clean and comfortable and she was very accommodating with our arrival. The Welsh cakes went down a treat and we really enjoyed staying the the area - a brilliant host and lovely place to stay would highly recommend!

    Abigail2020-01-05T00:00:00Z
  • What a brilliant place to stay! Absolutely adored our time here, the lodge is so cosy and relaxing that we cancelled our NYE plans and had a BBQ on the wooden fire outside and just chilled in the hot tub all night. So lovely and clean, great facilities. All you need to do is a little food shop and you’re set for your stay! Huw and his dad were so lovely, we didn’t realise the cabin was in front of their house but it is secluded and very private. You’re literally not disturbed unless you ask to see them and they are there as soon you ask. Brilliant service! The dogs were also very cute, they just come see you once to have a nosey and don’t really come around again so don’t be put off by that like we nearly were! 10/10 stay and experience. Really hoping I can convince someone to come visit with me again!

    Amber2020-01-01T00:00:00Z

  • Liz is easily the best host I’ve come across. Went above and beyond to help with little touches for my partners birthday. Liz responds to messages very promptly and it’s clearly very passionate and attentive to looking after her pods. The bumblebee pod is a lovely and quaint accommodation and did us nicely for the weekend. Even in the winter it was lovely and warm.

  • A fabulous stay in a pretty part of Wales. Super easy to get to from the motorway. The pod was modern, clean, cosy and welcoming. Everything we needed was there, a little fridge, microwave and toaster. The constant unending access to our private not tub made it a trip to remember. Liz was so lovely and friendly when r arrived. We would definitely stay here again!

  • An amazing, clean and beautiful pod! The bed is super comfortable, the hot tub gives a clear view of the night sky and the location is perfect if you are looking to get away and relax. The little touches added make the stay so much more magical. Would highly recommend.
