This was our second visit to Cat's Cove. We had a lovely weekend at the cottage. Having the pool available is a wonderful aspect of this property. And Kathy is a marvelous host. I cannot recommend this place enough for those that are looking for a quiet peaceful time away on the Northern Neck.

Everything was just perfect! The cabin was spotless, the bed was comfortable, and the hostess had everything we needed to be relaxed and enjoy our weekend away! We loved the porch on the cabin and listening to the water and wildlife! Her garden flowers were beautiful! Kathy was so welcoming!

This cozy little cottage was perfect place to getaway and disconnect. Located steps from the water, fishing was easy! Very comfortable surroundings and the best nights sleep we have had in months!

A gorgeous stay. My partner and I stumbled upon Kathy’s cabin on AirBNB, and we feel so lucky to have found it. Kathy could not be more of a gracious hostess, and the setting was absolutely stunning.

Kathy and Charlie were fantastic hosts with a gorgeous property. The cabin was easy to find, and Kathy welcomed us and showed us around. We had everything we needed and had a blast kayaking, relaxing on the waterfront screened in porch, feeding the goats, swimming in the pool, and hanging out. This is a perfect place to get away from it all, and you’ll feel the stress melt away immediately. We enjoyed every aspect of the trip and can’t wait to come back.

Cats Cove is truly a beautiful piece of heaven that has the sweetest hostess! The cottage was clean and cozy with the most breath taking view. The bed was extremely comfortable! We will definitely be going back and anyone thinking about staying here should! -Kristi and Brian

If you are looking for a relaxing peaceful weekend then look no further!! This was the BEST experience and stay I’ve ever had on air bnb! Kathy and Charlie were excellent and welcoming hosts. The cottage is literally sitting on the water and the grounds are amazing. Don’t look elsewhere! You will not be disappointed. We also found amazing restaurants in Reedville on the water! We will be back to experience every season :)

Cats Cove is a little paradise on the Northern Neck. The views and wildlife are endless. The hosts are some of the kindest people I have ever met. They are very accommodating. Also, the local restaurants has some of the best seafood I have ever tasted. We would recommend Angelo's Pizza Co in Montross. They have a to die for seafood steamer with crab legs, clams, oysters and shrimp. No sauce needed it was so fresh. Also, the pizza was incredible.

Crow's Nest was a relaxing weekend get-away with plenty of room for our family of four and two dogs. We felt at home within minutes of our arrival and there was something to do for everyone. Tom's commitment to his guests is evident through his attention to the details that make a good trip great.

Once again had an amazing time there. Tom was such an amazing host and I’ll be coming back there again!

Tom is a very friendly host. He was very accommodating. Offered to cook us breakfast and let us stay a little later to fish. The view is beautiful and his place is very well maintained. Really enjoyed our visit. Hope to return when it is warmer for another visit.

If you are looking for a cozy and beautiful place to stay and kid friendly. I would suggest to book this place and stay there for like a month. The view is just spectacular! Also everything was very clean. Our host Tom was very kind and had amazing stories. We really enjoyed everything and my guests and I loved to kayak on his boats. We really enjoyed it and we know you will too!!

My family all enjoyed our visit. Tom was a great host. It was relaxing, hospitable, and beautiful. We enjoyed talking by the fire pit or on the dock, and kayaking. Pet friendly! Rooms are spacious and clean. There is a second floor deck off one of the bedrooms which is lovely and serene.

Tom is one of the most sincere guys I ever met. He was under the weather but he truly wanted to connect with us and he did. My family came for the Oyster Roast from PA., VA., and NJ. We will be back next November! His home is amazing. 😁

It was a great place to spend time with your loved ones when you need a break from your busy lives. I would go again to this place in near future.

The view from Karen's place is so so so beautiful. We saw some amazing sunrises and even got to go exploring on her kayaks. She had everything we needed for a great weekend retreat and the place was super quiet (went in March).

My experience here was excellent! The value was far better than anything in the area. Charlie was lovely to deal with; check in was easy and he was eager to help with local suggestions. The cottage was very well equipped and extremely clean.

Just Book! Charlie is very accommodating, kind, and just an downright good person. My family is very grateful for his hospitality. We loved the porch can’t wait to spend the Summer there! We will see you soon.

This was an amazing little find! We brought our son here for a small birthday getaway because he loves to fish. The kayak, and private dock were perfect. He fished from sun up to sun down. It was a beautiful spot to just relax for a few days. I highly recommend visiting this little gem. We hope to get back another time!

This cottage is a true gem! The location is fabulous! The sparkling water shining through the windows every morning was magical. The house was super clean, contained all the things we needed, including paddle board, canoe and kayak (with life jackets for everyone!!), and was so comfortable, we didn't want to leave. Tammy’s cottage is amazing - the perfect refuge in the perfect place. Comfortably sleeps six, with fully-equipped kitchen and a million lovely touches. We were in the water as much as we could be every day, kids had so much fun crabbing, we ate great at nearby spots and at the cottage, and overall had a wonderful time. Tammy’s communication was prompt and clear - so easy to work with. No question, we’d definitely stay here again!

This beachcottage is just lovely. It has everything you will need. Just pack your bags and go. The decor is so delightful and beach. You will love it. Pam's place is a cute little getaway, perfect for a quiet weekend away with kids or family. The bay beach is just a minute's walk away, where you can spend some peaceful time watching the waves and catching a sunrise/set or two. The home itself is decorated with love and care, it has every little thing you could ever need. Pam was always quick to respond, very welcoming and provided a lot of useful tips for things to do nearby before our check-in. I would definitely recommend Pam's place!

Pam’s place is perfect for a get-a-way to the Chesapeake Bay! The house is comfortable and Pam provides all the beach gear needed to travel there stress-free. We especially loved kayaking and enjoying some of the DVD’s :-) would love to return next year!

A fun spot! Very cute & comfortable beach house walkable to private, sandy beach on the bay. Beach was super fun! Swimming, floating, kayaking, boogie boarding-we enjoyed endless hours @ the bay. Home is well outfitted w/ all beach gear, refreshing outdoor shower & close to downtown Reedville. Pam is an excellent host!

Our stay at Julian & Anne's place was better than we expected. We were there for a Christmas stay and love the place. It was the perfect size for my little family. The kids love the kiddie playground set in the back. Everything was there for us to have a good family time. It was super clean. The hosts were very nice and came over just to say "hi". Btw, Belle Isle park is just 10 min away; it is an awesome place to have a picnic and for the kids to play in the playground just 20 feet away!

Amazing hosts & beautiful, relaxing place to stay!!

Our stay here was amazing, my best airbnb experience yet! We had six adults (three couples) and it was plenty of space, especially since there's outdoor seating too. Julian was very accommodating to several requests we had and flexible. The house was very clean and had everything we needed. We had no trouble cooking. Julian even pulled kayaks down to the river for us and we had a blast! Highly recommend.

Julian and Anne were the best, friendliest and helpful hosts. The house was bright, clean and beautiful. Great quality, pretty sheets and towels. Comfortable beds. I loved waking up there, it was so peaceful. Great wide views of the Rappahannock river. They had kayaks for us to use. We fished off the dock. And Belle Isle state park is very close and great for biking and walking trails that go along the river. We hope to return.

We had another great stay in Lancaster...our third stay. It's never long enough. We're already looking forward to next year. Julian and Anne continue to be wonderful hosts.

My family and I were attending a wedding nearby and we decided to make a mini-family vacation. The house was spotless and had everything we needed during our stay. We fished of the dock, trapped some crabs, swam and kayaked. The most important thing was that we got to do were to relaxed, enjoyed the gorgeous view and got the “big city” out of us. Julian made sure that we had everything that we needed and enjoyed ourselves. Thank You and we will be back.

My husband and I were in the area for a family wedding. Everything was perfect. Loved the enclosed porch and the fireplace! The “unplugged” aspect of the home also allowed us to take advantage of spending more quality time with each other away from our devices. The bikes were a great added touch as well! We enjoyed a nice morning bike ride. Would definitely recommend this spot for a nice secluded get away.

Beautiful location! Things we clean and neat and the home’s layout made for a very comfortable stay for my boyfriend and I. There was the perfect amount of amenities and the view from the house was gorgeous. Amanda was super easy to get ahold of and communicate with. We are excited to hopefully stay there again in the future! Everything was perfect.

This was an amazing getaway destination. I was planning on just taking it easy and enjoying a nice view while reading books or playing games, but we ended up having so much fun I didn't read at all on this trip. Amanda suggested a local moonlight canoe tour at the nearby state park the first night and it was just lovely. Amanda also had crab pots available and kayaks and the next day we spent crabbing and kayaking the river right there. There weren't many boats on the water and it was such a joy to be out kayaking. We actually went pretty far. She had lifevests available in each kayak so you don't have to worry about safety. There was also bottled waters available for drinking (not because the local water is bad, but just different.) The porch was one of my favorite features. We enjoyed our crabs out there and could see the moon and water easily. This is a remarkable little getaway and I cannot wait to visit again!!! I highly recommend it. You will NOT be disappointed!!!!

The private beach access and privacy were the best part. We spent the weekend fishing and looking at the stars at night. It was so peaceful and nice to get away.

Mom & Pop’s is a wonderful property right on the river. The house itself is cute and charming with a lot of history to it. Nicely appointed kitchen with decent tools & cookware, and a gas grill outside with grilling tools. Really enjoyed the screened in porches for watching the kids play with the pup, or just watching the occasional boat pass by. If you follow the shoreline to the right (Easterly), there’s a little path you can take to a strip of beach. Really cute, fun place to visit. Thanks Nancy!

It was a fun location; perfect for kids, with a small sandy beach and a gradual increase in the depth of the water. We enjoyed crabbing, fishing, and watching the hawks and bald eagles. Nancy worked us in after a last-minute booking, and was a gracious hostess!

Lovely, charming cottage on the bay. Very relaxing. Bald eagle soaring above, fish jumping out of the water, boats cruising by, very peaceful and picturesque. Our dog loved the little beach area, we loved the serenity, was a total win for everyone. Nancy and her husband were awesome hosts, very nice and informative. The place was amazingly clean and fully stocked with everything you might need. We had a much needed stay from all the hustle and bustle of everyday life. $30/dozen crabs were right down the road.

A clean home with sweet touches such as fresh flowers in every room, a bottle of wine when you arrive and the invitation to pick fresh veggies from the garden and herb garden located off the back porch. Beautiful breezes while you sit on one of the two screened in porches, begging you to stop and slow down and enjoy the peace and quiet Mom and Pops house offers. I felt as if the world stopped and I was back in simpler times with no worries in the world. I will be coming back!

Beautiful little cottage with many modern touches. The best part of this place are the gorgeous sunsets as it faces the water to the west. Great dock that would be a lot of fun to swim from in warmer months. Kendall was a fantastic host. At one point I had thought I had locked myself out, and Kendall responded immediately. Christine's place was very clean and spacious. She was quick to respond to my questions. Whether you are fishing or just sipping on a cup of coffee at the private doc it's just so peaceful. I had a wonderful and restful stay here. Will definitely be visiting again!

The house has plenty of space for a family. There is a bedroom on the main floor and the other three bedrooms are on the second floor. The house is on the water. The hosts have kayaks and plenty of life vests, so you can enjoy the water. The town of Reedville is 10 minutes away. I recommend taking a day trip to Tangier Island. You have just enough time to visit the isolated beach and grab a soft shell crab sandwich for the boat ride home. Arriving at the house, opposite the turn, look for an American flag in a cluster of mailboxes. You turn on a gravel road. Follow the road around the curve. You will see a driveway split, you take the first driveway.

A great time was had by all! Being on the water, grill available and the place was perfect for my 79 year old dad, husband and three sons! We would definitely want to go back.

Lisa’s place is located in the perfect setting overlooking the river. A charming home, fully equipped and very roomy. We especially loved using the dock to launch our canoe and small sailboat. The perfect getaway for our family. Highly recommend!

This place was very peaceful we had a great family getaway. If your looking for a place to relax and drop off the grid this is the place for you. Don’t expect high speed Internet or distractions because this place was made for quiet relaxation. The water is brackish we saw baby jelly fish and stingrays our skate fish. We took the canoe out for a spin and it was quaint. I suggest you plan on cooking or eating at home unless you want fast food. The one restaurant that we went to breakfast at was not good. We played games and relaxes the whole trip.

Lisa is an incredible host and makes the stay super easy! The cabin is beautiful and the sights are worth way more than price to stay. The cabin is super clean and everything you need is on-site. If you need anything, Kilmarnock is minutes away. We are usually beach goers but this year I decided something different would be fun. We really enjoyed the R&R we received in Burgess, VA. It was a slow pace vacation and it’s exactly what we were looking for. I have children so you tend to worry they will get board but the boat dock kept them busy as well as the games and of course, the occasional treat of ice cream. We really enjoyed the restaurants and speaking with the locals. They told us about Hughlett beach which we went to. The sand was pearl white and the water was amazing. There were only 5 or so families there so we were able to have space and enjoy ourselves. BTW, Tangier Island rocks! Wi-fi is iffy but it’s a vacation, who cares! Great family spot!

The place was wonderful—beautiful, peaceful, full of charming antiques, and way bigger than we realized. My kids had tons of fun crabbing off the dock.

Our group of women had a fantastic weekend at Lisa's! The space is perfect for groups. We loved hanging out on the porches and on the dock, cooking meals in the kitchen, and exploring the sites in the Northern Neck. We would definitely stay here again!

Beautiful, quiet cabin on an equally gorgeous and calm river. Tons of indoor and outdoor space(like the dock or back porch areas) make for great summertime gatherings intended for relaxation. Great for families as well as friends. Very well equipped with essentials and close to a food lion and ABC store(liquor store in VA). Do be careful about the river in mid/late June as there seemed to be a large population of jellyfish that I became well acquainted with — though to be fair I was definitely warned ahead of time!

We really enjoyed our stay and the privacy feeling we experienced. There were plenty of places to relax and just enjoy each other’s company. The entire home was well furnished - especially the kitchen. Recommend picking up wine on the way there, otherwise you’ll be forced to make your selection from the local Food Lion. Overall, it was an amazing weekend with the family!

Amazing view, old but clean and cute house with all you need!

Don't forget your fishing poles! Live bait can be found at the gas station in town and at Walmart. Fishing off the newly done pier was plentiful.

Our group of twelve adults and six kids spent a long weekend here and had a blast. The setting on the river and the outdoor space are truly incomparable. As others have noted, the house itself is quirky and a bit dated, but it was very clean and stocked with everything we needed. The house has lots of different gathering spaces which made it perfect for our large group of multiple families. Bart was a great communicator and made our stay very easy.

What a great trip! This house is perfect for large crowds. The property is beautiful, inside is cozy, porches are fantastic, and Bart was incredibly responsive with any question I had. We enjoyed lounging on the dock, playing in the yard, and relaxing on the porch between wedding festivities. Highly recommended!

Great place! Beautiful location!

Location, location, location! You can’t beat the views from Bart’s house. Easily one of the largest lots on Dividing Creek. We swam off the dock and brought our own boat which is highly recommended! Plenty of beds and seating throughout. Everything we needed was provided. But don’t plan to stay inside too much. Bring the yard games and enjoy the huge yard and water views!

There was food left by previous tenants which we could have used: spices, condiments., etc.

Highly recommend this home, location, hospitality. The room is spacious with plenty of privacy and the use of the LR and DR, totally separate from the living quarters of Carolyn and husband.

Carolyn's space was beautiful and roomy with peaceful water and landscape views. It is within 5 minutes of town. Carolyn has information about the area in the cozy library area and gives personal recommendations when asked. I will return to stay and explore this area again. Many thanks for a lovely getaway after my 3-day conference.

This was a small lovely place! Our group really enjoyed our stay here and would love to come back. The view was amazing and all the necessities were prepared for us.

I really wish I hadn't been traveling for work so that I could've taken advantage of the lovely waterfront location - the sunrise from the kitchen is beautiful over the water! Kate's home is not only in a great location, but it is extremely clean and well-stocked. Kate provided us with everything we needed for our trip. She was also extremely responsive and accommodating, couldn't recommend this place more!

This was a perfect weekend getaway. The cottage has been nicely updated and the view from the kitchen is worth the drive. We have two kids and this was the perfect place for us to crash for a weekend on the Northern Neck. The house is nice but not so nice that you are scared to let your kids touch anything. Very clean with everything you need. It very much felt like home. We enjoyed walking down the docks and watching the wildlife. We grabbed some local crabs and had a feast on the deck/dock. There are a couple places within five minutes that cook them fresh to order (when in season). Overall, awesome trip.

Two couples who were visiting Kinsale last weekend asked me to find an Airbnb place for them to stay. They couldn't have been more pleased with Morningtide Cottage. The location was perfect, an easy short walk to the village. They loved the view, the layout, and the furnishings. Everything was neat and clean and comfortable. They can't wait to return!

The place is great! We really loved the view and the water access. I recommend bringing a small boat, rafts, or kayaks. The house was very clean and ready for guests.

Amazing house, can't recommend enough! The area is beautiful and quiet with a private lake dock. The house feels more like a home than like an Airbnb, with great appliances + kitchen cookware (small detail but nice touch). We easily slept 8 people.

Lovely quiet location. Beach and trails, peaceful spot, dogs welcome. Ola was present anytime we needed anything, but otherwise let us have the quiet break we needed. If you need to work online while on vacation, you may need to go to the porch of the main house for wifi. I personally enjoyed being offline for a bit!

Highly encourage you take an opportunity to stay at this lovely place by the bay! Lovely, lovely view!

Great place to go to if you want to get away from everyday life. I went with friends and we all enjoyed the space and outdoor view. I'd definitely go back again. Check in and check out was easy, and hospitality was great.

This is an amazing place!!! The host were so welcoming and more than accommodating plus super friendly!! The views and private beach is wonderful! The only draw back for me was the huge birds that I had to worry about my little Yorkie being scooped up by but the host warned me immediately about the danger so all was good just had to keep an extra close eye on him!! My children had a great time and my parents made much needed memories with our family!! Thank you Olga and Chris for being the best host thus far on my Airbnb adventures!!!

Our stay at OC's Peace of the Bay was quaint, cozy and overall well accommodating to our party (including our retriever). The bungalow itself was a clean and comfortable sleep, and the couches were great for lounging and playing board games. The first morning in our stay our golden retriever had a bad stomach from drinking bay water and Ola gave us a container of rice to cook up for her and it was a lifesaver as our retriever quickly recovered. Crabbing in the bay was thoroughly enjoyable as well, and we went kayaking in the inflatable kayaks every minute we weren’t waiting out stormy weather or sleeping; we had multiple catches which we took home with us. In addition to crabbing and fishing from the kayaks there was fishing to be had from the shore. It’s amazing to sit by the fire pit and stargaze with the constant wind coming off the bay. A beautiful location and such a quaint bungalow. Ola and Cody were wonderful hosts.

It was an amazing trip for me and my family! From the start to finish, everything was just perfect. They were thoughtful and caring. Would recommend!

We were in town for a wedding and chose Bluebird cottage for it's proximity to the venue. The location, pool, dock, etc. were definitely a bonus. The most important thing to me is cleanliness. I usually end up cleaning before I unpack at hotels or rentals, but that was absolutely not necessary in this case. The home was spotless. It was well stocked. Our check in was easy. Our host was friendly and super accommodating. He was always quick to respond. The pictures online are nice, but the home is even nicer than the pictures show. Our family of 5 had a very nice stay and would certainly return!

This house provides a restful and peaceful visit. We spent our time catching crabs, watching the Osprey, and relaxing by the pool.

Richard and Laura’s place is a wonderful cottage with breathtaking views of the Yeocomico River. The cottage was like a home away from home. The details of it were so warm and cozy. Their hospitality was above and beyond. We enjoyed our stay and our grandchildren enjoyed spending time with Richard and Laura’s grandchildren. We can’t wait to return again.

As stated by a previous renter, the pictures don’t even do justice to how beautiful this spot really is. Rich and his wife (who were great and friendly hosts) have an amazing estate, with a sparkling clean pool and a cottage that is spacious and well equipped for all the cooking we did. Even with Tupperware for meal prep which was a big bonus for us. But the crab traps were a huge hit and was a big highlight during our stay! We went to a beach nearby to do some shark tooth searching and were overjoyed to give some to Rich so others may come to the area and be inspired to do so as well- it was a very special experience for myself, husband, and baby boy. We cannot wait to return!

Chris was a great host, and we had a fantastic experience at his house on the water. We brought our dog, and Chris was more than accommodating and helpful. We have nothing but positive things to say about our experience.

This place is so relaxing and tucked in a very quaint small town.

Chris was super helpful for my last-minute reservation he accommodated my family in every way possible. His home is situated in the sweetest neighborhood. I am actually looking forward to staying again in May with more of my family. The location wasn’t far from the things that I needed and close to my grandparents which was ideal for my stay. Watching the sunset is a must at this property. The neighbors dog can be annoying but that’s small compared to the sense of relaxation you get most of the day. Thank you Again Mr. Mills.

Quiet location, friendly host, great view of the bay.

This is a privately-run B&B that offers truly personalized service. You feel like you're staying among friends. We were traveling with our dog and enjoyed the "Sisters" room, complete with its own exterior door and small patio. We enjoyed a homemade breakfast with Chris and the other guests each morning, everyone sharing stories of our respective travels. We were delighted to take recommendations from the East Coast "locals" on where we should venture next. We loved swimming in the Bay, and taking our dog in one of the kayaks Chris has. The property feels remote with how quiet and tranquil it is, but there are restaurants and markets within a ~10 minute drive.

Everything was perfect. The panoramic water around the house, the many windows that open up to the water, the Island with many birds on it across the water, and the perfect house! Kitchen is beyond fully stocked! And the poo was fun too. We hooked up our computer to the large screen TV and got some work done for our Richmond Reproductive Freedom Project retreat. The rooms were great, the board games were great! Everything just great. Check in was a breeze, communication breezy as the bay. Don't skip on this place--it is fantastical. My friends and I had a wonderful experience at Kathy’s house. The house itself is spacious, clean and bright. The bedrooms are comfortable. The house has incredible views. We saw lots of fish, birds and crabs. As a side note there are jellyfish in the river so we didn’t want to swim in there but this wasn’t an issue because there was a beautiful pool with river views. We had the best time! Thank you!

Excellent location and lovely home. Our group of mothers and daughters enjoyed a wonderful weekend. It began with delicious meal at local restaurant (at Kathleen’s suggestion). House was perfect for our needs. Plenty of room inside for our group to play games, chat, prep meals for our party of 12. Setting was nice also, We enjoyed a day pool side and kayaking, enjoyed the view from boat dock and rocking chairs on porch facing river.

Kathleen's home is perfect for a large group. We loved how open the home was, and we spent tons of time in the pool and on the pier. The views from the house and porch were great. If you're looking for a quiet area with lots of space to relax on the water, then this is the place for you.

The Farmhouse was a wonderful place to stay for our family! We lived the nice accommodations and the beds were all very comfortable. The heated floors in the master bath was nice since it was cool outside. Everything was clean and there were plenty of dishes and supplies for our stay. The outside property was huge and was fun the explore. A great stay!

Amazing is an understatement. The home was beautiful and quaint and had so much for young kids and older kids to play with. We had four toddlers two that were one and two that were 2 and 3. The views were incredible and the kayaks were easy to jump in for a quick ride. The kitchen was beautiful , the pool was great. No cell phone service but WiFi was great. Overall amazing and exceeded all expectations. Will be going yearly!

A beautiful house in a beautiful location! Lots to do for a large family including small children. Towns of Kilmarnock and White Stone have some surprisingly great restaurants for such a remote location (recommend Adrift in White Stone, Chao Praya and Car Wash Cafe in Kilmarnock) though the kitchen is so well stocked you can easily cook for a large group without issue. Quiet, serene - just what we were hoping for!

Ginny went above and beyond to ensure we had an excellent stay. The house is gorgeous and the property is second to none! We had a fabulous time, all of our party had enough space and the amenities of the maze, pool and kayak provided us with plenty to do! This home was perfect for our annual family vacation. Not only is the property well laid out and tucked away , but it was spotless and well appointed. It felt like we’d chosen the perfect space as it had absolutely everything we needed. We were here during a heat wave and much of our time was spent in the salt water pool keeping us cool. The property has many shady comfortable spots . Whether it be sitting on the back patio -which was shaded throughout the day ,or rocking on the front porch watching wildlife saunter through the front yard nibbling on the fruit from the pear trees out front with our granddaughter , there was always a space to stay cool while still enjoying the outdoors . When those summer storms hit in the early evenings we were able to enjoy the screened in porch and the smell of rain and while eating our dinners out there. Everything about this home felt comfortable and clean. The kitchen was an awesome space for us all to gather and make family meals with it’s beautiful large marble island. Everything we needed was there. We were all in agreement upon the end of our trip that we would love to return and make more memories on this magical property. Our host was very prompt and friendly in her communication with us. Our best Airbnb vacation so far.

Chasen's place is great for a relaxing weekend away. My friends and I took out kayaks and paddleboards and discovered the river to get away from the city for a weekend. We were so relaxed the whole time and the house had everything we needed, including a grill! We loved staying here and would highly recommend it.

My family and I had a wonderful two night stay here. Everyone enjoyed the dock and spending time on the water. The kids loved the foosball table and had a great time catfishing off the dock at night. It was exactly as advertised and I’m looking forward to going again.

Perfect for family reunions like ours. We chose it for location near Reedville fishing harbor, museum and historic homes. Kids loved the big downstairs game room, big TVs, big back yard and pier for fishing and crabbing using the provided equipment. Smores around the fire pit was the favorite time of all! We went to nearby Reedville for seafood dinners and a beautiful sunrise/fishing trip with Heritage Charters captain/owner, Dave Fisher. In a half day, we caught at least 6 or 8 fish apiece and brought home enough for a big fish fry for our large family! Everyone wants to go back next year!

This home is exactly as advertised. Beautiful, clean, lots of outdoor activities and tools provided. In the garage you will find kayaks, a paddle boat, bikes, and coolers. There is a pier to fish on, it is in an inlet of a creek that flows into the Little Wicomoco. I got some bites but the fish were too smart for me. I did, however, catch a crab and a huge stingray! This was a fun visit!

If you’re looking for the perfect weekend getaway space for a small group of friends or family this location has it all that will keep you and your family or friends entertained. Definitely make sure that you pack and purchase groceries as the nearest grocery store is about 10 to 15 minutes away but nothing unbearable of a travel or if you miss something and you’re purchasing. The local restaurants especially dredge have excellent seafood and live music to entertain. For the amount of space that this house of has available everyone can sleep comfortably and also have At their fair space when it comes to needing to use the restroom. If we have a group of friends that need a weekend getaway again this will definitely be on our list of get away places!

Comfortable large house with lots of lawn space and kayak access to the river. Big kitchen with the grill right outside for easy meal prep. Huge fire pit with plenty of wood for a relaxing evening. Bedrooms were comfortable and bathrooms were spacious and clean. Comfortably fit 10 adults for a guys weekend.

If you're looking for relaxation, quiet, great views, and style, this is it. Erin provides a hospitality and welcome that is warm and inviting. The house is beautiful, and you'll love sitting out on the back deck with the view of the bay. There are belted cows across the road, also. Very bucolic. Just lovely. Minutes from town too with a lovely drive through forested land. A nature preserve close by provided us with a wonderful walk down to the shoreline of the bay. Just beautiful.

Erin’s home is like staying in your own home turned into a resort. We came to Kilmarnock for a wedding at the cidery which is right across the street. Her home is perfectly situated close to the water and has easy access to Whitestone and Kilmarnock. Erin was extremely easy to communicate with. She provided extra amenities that made our stay feel like we were staying with family. Her home is beautifully decorated, and is very comfortable for an entire family. If you are ever in the Northern neck area, I highly, highly recommend staying with Erin in her home Moved by the Bay.

Moved by the Bay was a quiet, peaceful respite for 2 couples catching up for the weekend. There were several places in and around the house to sit and enjoy a glass of wine and chat. And it's very close to town and other points of interest. Erin is a wonderful host(ess), providing lots of little touches to make us feel welcome. The beds were very comfortable, an important note for those who need a good firm mattress! I would highly recommend a stay here and wouldl definitely come again if we're in the area.

Great experience, I wanted to just relax and this was the right choice. It was comfortable, cozy,quiet and very clean. With a glass of wine, a good book and the spectacular view of the water it far exceeded my expectations. Very modern decor and the fully equipped kitchen left me with only one negative, my stay was way to short. I will return with my children and grandchildren to explore more of the area that was recommended and I know the grandchildren will have fun with the pool table.

We enjoyed our week at Coan River. We had a wonderful time kayaking, walking, hiking at Belle Isle State Park, dinner at Reedville Market (formerly Tommy's) and exploring the area. Recommend Good Luck Cellars for wine tasting. So peaceful!

Great place to stay! Beautiful water views and wild life viewing! The house has EVERYTHING you need for a comfortable stay! The home was clean and the beds were very comfortable and cozy! The lockbox made for smooth checkin and checkout process. The Nest system made for easy temperature control. The river is so peaceful and fun to explore in the kayaks. We enjoyed a very relaxing stay!

Thank you again to Chris for being an exceptional host at the Rivah House as we have grown to call it. This was our second trip to the river house where I was able to bring some family with me and enjoy the peace and quiet away from our busy city lives. The house was clean, we had plenty of games to play to keep us busy during the rainy weekend. Chris let us know about a great new restaurant that recently opened Horn Harbor that had beautiful waterfront dining and amazing food! We also ventured out into Heathsville, where they had a few antique shops to wonder around. Food Lion is also not too far away and we were able to get some items to cook at the house, as they had plenty of cooking tools for us to use. This is a great place to spend time with your family and we are even thinking about booking for the Thanksgiving or Christmas vacations this year! We look forward to our next visit!

Wow! The pictures barely do the place justice. Larry and Mary were incredible hosts and the house offered everything our group needed. The views of the water were perfect and the house was extremely comfortable, the couches and the beds. I couldn't say more positive things about our experience at the Rivah house.

Selfishly, I don’t want to leave too glowing a review, because this home is such a treasure I fear it will be booked on a future trip. But seriously, Larry and Mary’s home was hands down one of my best Airbnb stays, if not the best. The home is new and sparkling clean. As in, “has anyone else ever stayed here?” clean. The location on a small peninsula is lovely. Larry and Mary met us for a short tour and we were impressed with the thoughtful touches in the home. Highly recommend.

This was everything we could've dreamt of and just a bit more for a weekend getaway from the DMV. The house sits right on the edge of the river, which gives you breathtaking views of sunrise and sunsets. The house itself is also just as breathtaking! Gorgeous finishings, great beds, and furniture. They have absolutely everything you need to cook, grill, do s'mores, eat crabs, etc. Plenty of space for everyone! We took the kayaks and paddle boards out that they had and it was so fun! At night, we lit up the firepit and just sat outside and enjoyed the fresh air. Larry and Mary were wonderful hosts. From the time we made the booking, through the trip, they were quick to respond and very easy to communicate with. They seem like lovely people! If you're looking for a relaxing getaway by the water, don't hesitate...this is the place to go.

The house was close to several cute towns on the Chesapeake bay and included fun amenities for enjoying the water - paddleboard’s, kayaks, etc. Larry was super responsive and even met us at the house to say hello when we arrived!
