Luxury camping. Get away. Hide away.
Why share your space when you can have privacy? Quiet. Serene. Solid. Cozy. Clean. Our 12' x 18' free standing cabin has queen-sized bed and a bathroom with shower and lots of hot water. It is nestled on a hill just below our home so you have privacy and wilderness without having to hike or go without amenities. We are located between Mt. Adams and Mt. Hood so you can take advantage of what the mountains have to offer (like a great day of skiing!) without having to worry about a long drive home. **We are pet friendly. Maximum of two pets. Thank you!** Room includes: --wi-fi --mini-fridge --linens, towels, and beach towels (we use allergy-sensitive cleaners & detergents) --bathroom with shower --Keurig coffee maker fully stocked with coffee, decaf, tea, and hot chocolate --ceiling fan --bedside clock with USB dock & outlets for easy phone charging --private deck, great place to enjoy morning coffee or nighttime star gazing --access to covered grilling area (with propane heater!) and grill with side burner --maps and info on local tourist attractions and hikes --circular driveway for easy parking --5 miles to White Salmon, 7 miles to Hood River Check in any time after 3 pm; check out at 11 am. **We are a NO smoking and a NO 420 property. Violation of either of these house rules will result in an immediate $350 cleaning fee.*** We sit on 1500' of Big Buck Creek, just a short walk down from the cabin. We are 35 miles from Mt. Hood Meadows and 25 miles Mt. Adams. Trails for hiking and exploring waterfalls are in abundance. **Please note: once you reserve with us, read the driving directions carefully. Please read the written driving directions as the visual landmarks we provide are very helpful. Our driveway is preceded by an uphill, gravel/dirt road (about 1/4 mile in length) that may be a bit bumpy. We have had guests drive here in vehicles from Smart cars to tricked out SUV's with no issues. Always feel free to message us with questions. Got pets? Let us know. Maximum of 2 pets. Please keep dogs leashed by the house, but we do have miles of trails so there are plenty of places to take your four-legged friends for a walk without leashes. Also, please keep pets off the bed. We recommend bringing some extra bedding for your pet. We do stock the cabin with dog towels. If you have your own kayak, you can launch north of us, enjoy a ride down the White Salmon, and pull out at Northwestern Park. NW Park is less than a 1/3 mile to the cabin. We can assist in transportation to or from launch site. Large driveway that circles around can easily accommodate RV's, campers, and horse trailers.
Private but not isolated. A perfect place to launch to events in the Gorge, or a perfect place just to hide away.

• A very unique and pleasant experience. If you’re looking for a place to get away to from the city, this will definitely work. It was quiet, cozy and intimate. The place was nice and clean, even the bathroom. Came with coffee and snacks. You could even see stars at night! All in all, a great experience.

Aptly named the Osprey Treehouse because the Osprey spent the summer hovering and watching us build the treehouse. This 20 foot Octagon is built around a single grand old Douglas Fir that is 42” in diameter. There are oversized windows and a sliding door that give you the feeling of being high up in the trees. This treehouse sleeps 2 to 3. The entrance into the treehouse is level and parking is close. Cleaning fee $50 and applicable taxes apply.
• This place is incredible. I booked this stay for a romantic getaway weekend and it was perfect. The location is great with views of the Columbia river and nestled away in the woods. The treehouse itself is very impressive and surprisingly modern. I had anticipated it being somewhat limited because there's only so much you can do in a treehouse, but this had plenty of lights, outlets, quick hot water, blankets, soap, shampoo, furniture, and just about anything else you'd expect to find in a nice hotel. Despite being so accommodating it maintained a rustic charm you'd want in something like a log cabin in the woods. I proposed to my girlfriend during our trip here and now she's my fiancée, so this is a place we'll always remember and hope to visit again soon!

Adam2020-03-08T00:00:00Z
• A beautiful get away! Loved everything about it. Thanks so much.

Chelsea2020-02-22T00:00:00Z
• We had such an amazing time in the treehouse celebrating our 3 year anniversary. It’s a memory we will cherish forever!

Brittney2020-02-16T00:00:00Z
• I cannot recommend this tree house highly enough. The childhood dream of having a tree house meets the adulthood wisdom of having plumbing in the tree house. This place is easy to get to, and hard to leave when it's time to go. The local town had a number of things to do (I recommend the zip line just 10 minutes away) but you can just as easily be a hermit and stay in the tree house. The water pressure is surprisingly good, the lighting and switch locations for such are well thought out and the hosts didn't skimp on the little things like really nice lotion in the bathroom or having a Bose mini sound link in the kitchenette area. There are frequent trains passing through maybe 60 yards from the tree house but the place is soundproofed well enough that the trains never woke me or really bothered my girlfriend and I.

Robert2020-01-27T00:00:00Z
• What a special place! We wish we could have stayed for more than one day. The treehouse experience was as cool as we hoped it would be. It’s rustic and cozy, and it sways with the breeze. It’s also in a great location. The cove is beautiful. Looking forward to staying here again.

Matt2020-01-20T00:00:00Z
• Can’t say enough about this place. Live out your inner Ewok fantasy in this fantastic treehouse.

Clinton2020-01-04T00:00:00Z
• What a perfect getaway for the weekend. Beautiful spot although the train was a bit noisy throughout the night.

Rachel2020-01-03T00:00:00Z
• So peaceful and private. Loved the great views of the river and forest area. One of my favorite was taking a shower and being able to look out at the trees. The train goes through frequently, but I slept through the night and didn't hear it. Stevenson is literally 1.5 miles down the road. We picked up pizza at Andrews Pizza to take to the treehouse. The treehouse is 40 ft. off the ground and sways slightly. Great experience!

Jessica2020-03-02T00:00:00Z
• Amazing host. The house was stylish and comfy. Enjoyed our stay so much! Very close to downtown White Salmon with great restaurants.

Erica2020-02-29T00:00:00Z
• Cute minimalist styled space! Close to downtown. Fenced yard for our dog. Perfect hot tub for two. We very much enjoyed our stay here.

Kristin2020-02-28T00:00:00Z
• Convenient place for stopping through. Walls are a bit thin to exterior noise with it being a corner house, but it is a quiet neighborhood. The yards a work in progress as he states, so our two pups weren’t able to fully utilize it even though it’s fully fenced. Host was great and had friendly communication!

Danilo & Aleya2020-02-24T00:00:00Z
• super cute place within walking distance to some great spots (bakery, brewery, etc) in White Salmon. hot tub was a welcome experience after a day of hiking around mt. adams. the place itself was clean, comfy, and a nice place to relax with the dogs. hope to visit again!

Listen to the sounds of rushing water as you sleep in this beautifully finished cabin style tree house. I was recently featured in The Atlantic online magazine article on tree houses. You can find it in the video section of the online magazine.
This tree house is like a tiny house in a tree yet very comfortable with a "full size" bed. There is a microwave oven and a mini fridge. The stairs wind around the tree to the porch. The guest bathroom is in the main house 30 feet from the tree house. I have pictures of it in the photo section.
I love that I live along the Washougal River, it's my little slice of heaven. Even though it's right in town, I feel like I live in a vacation home year round.
• Brian is a darling, sharing his adorable treehouse and grounds on the river, his house is amazing and he is so welcoming. The treehouse is sturdy and delightful, with a porch that puts you directly above the rushing waters of the Washougal River. The sounds of the river, birds and ducks, is magical. Brian is a lovely host, there was no problem using his house for the bathroom and shower, and he enthusiastically shares his "slice of heaven" with good cheer. Lovely little Dobby is sweet and gentle and happy. Try this adventure, you will remember this one for the rest of your life !

Judi2020-03-06T00:00:00Z
• Amazing location and a great host! Thanks Brian!

Miah2020-02-22T00:00:00Z
• I read another review that they regretted not booking more than one night. I’m glad I was able to book another night as this place is a true gem. Watching the sun come up on the treehouse porch over the river was soul soothing. Glad we had this experience.

Heidi2020-02-21T00:00:00Z
• The treehouse was perfect. I spent most of my time on the porch of the treehouse under a blanket reading my book. Brian was so hospitable with coffee/cookies available and access to the main house. We loved our time here.

Heidi2020-02-19T00:00:00Z
• was a cute little treehouse cabin with a sweet view and sounds of running river! Brian was very friendly and helpful.

We really appreciate all the thoughtful touches like extra toothbrushes, snacks, and a variety of tea and coffee. The location was perfect as well! Our cozy Hood River Studio is in walking distance to downtown and close to all outdoor activities! Come enjoy a weekend exploring the local breweries, brewpubs, wineries, and orchards. We'd love to share with you some of our favorite local spots. After you've spent the day snowboarding, skiing, hiking, kiting, wind surfing, or SUP-ing, come back and relax in the quiet Studio. You’ll love the comfy bed. Our Studio is good for couples, solo adventurers, and business travelers. HR Lic # 644
Our house is a skinny house - very recognizable and unique. But we don't let the narrowness bother us! The house has great charm and the yard / garden is amazing (especially in the Spring and Summer months)! The space is great for a single traveler or for two people. The king bed is super comfortable. The Studio is on the ground floor / basement level of the home and has many windows to let light in, while also offering full privacy when you need it.
• The place was great! Super close to downtown Hood River and Ryan and Will are great hosts. They added such thoughtful touches to the place that made our stay even better. Will definitely stay there again!

• Our stay here was amazing! The check-in instructions were very detailed, and we had no trouble finding the Airbnb. The location is perfect for exploring nearby breweries and walking around Hood River, and Will and Ryan provided such thoughtful touches - a bar of handmade soap and a local bottle of wine! The place was very clean, and communication throughout the entire stay was excellent. We would highly recommend Will and Ryan to anyone looking to stay in Hood River!

Jeremy2020-01-05T00:00:00Z
• Quaint and cozy cottage that’s just a quick drive to downtown Hood River. Thomas was a great host and his place was perfect for an overnight getaway.

• Great spot to visit Mt Hood and Hood River! We stayed here last year and enjoyed it so much we’re back for round two!

Malee2019-12-30T00:00:00Z
• This is a small but perfectly proportioned spot from which to enjoy the beauty of the Hood River area. The bed was comfortable, the shower is nicely designed, and the ample kitchen had everything we needed to make coffee in the mornings. We were visiting family in the area so we didn't spend as much time at the house during the day as others might, but the back deck seems a great place to end a day of adventures. Highly recommended.

• Great cottage for a couple or a single person. Location is perfect just a few minutes from downtown. Bed is comfortable. Kitchen fully stocked. Shower in the cottage is amazing! And the view of Mt. Adams in the backyard was breathtaking. I have family in Hood River that I visit for the holidays and hope to stay here every time I make the trip. Thanks!

Our cabins are a part of a small privately owned campground centrally located to the many attractions that Mt. Saint Helens has to offer. When we say off grid, we mean it. The cabins have zero electricity and are powered by propane for lights, heating and cooking. Built far before the tiny home trend, our cabins have an open but cozy layout with two twin beds in a loft accessed by a ladder, and one full sized bed on the main floor.
Eagle Cliff Camp was established in 1972. It is rich in local history and close proximity to waterfalls, (website hidden). Helens, caves, snowmobiling, cross country skiing, Swift Reservoir (with boat launch in the summer and fall), the Lewis River, and much more. Perfect for outdoor enthusiasts looking for adventure, or for those just wanting to get away from the busy hustle of everyday life.
There are amazing sites and activities no matter which direction you drive from your cabin. You will love us if you want to get into the woods and away from city life.
• Beautiful and spacious cabin :)

Sebastian2020-02-17T00:00:00Z

• Rustic and a great time

Jim2020-01-21T00:00:00Z
• Great lil rustic spot. Comfy and warm bed! All the amenities are as described. Hot water and heater worked really great! The lighting is a bit dim, so I'd recommend bringing a headlamp! Overall, would definitely go back!

• Great location near Helens and Cougar. Cabins are simple but functional. Comfy beds. Good kitchen. Propane heat and lights. Owners are nice.

Veronica2019-12-08T00:00:00Z
• Perfect location to stay before hiking Mt St Helens. As noted in the description, this is off grid. Ensure your devices are charged and you have portable batteries as necessary. I have Verizon, and was barely able to get 1x service in the upper level of the cabin to verify some minute details of our hike. However, do not count on much usable service. Cabins are rustic. Hot water provided in the cabin. I cannot comment on the shower facilities as I did not use them (just a brief overnight stay.) The caretaker was gracious enough to reopen the store (arrived after dark) for my companion and I to get some last-minute sundries. Bring cash. Don't count on any perishables here (fruit, etc. Understandable!) I feel I received my money's worth and would certainly stay again! Thank you

• Excellent place for a weekend getaway or extended vacation. Matt and Micki’s hospitality is fantastic and we were able to visit and feed some of their alpacas. Loads of great hiking and outdoor adventures within 30 minutes of the cabin. We highly recommend!

• A beautiful ranch in a very cool part of Washington I had never explored before. Barn cats are very friendly and the alpacas are beautiful and fascinating too. A great home base to come back to for hot tubbing & relaxing by the fire after a day of adventuring.

Nestled among tall trees situated in the crook of Big Buck Creek and the wild & scenic White Salmon River; Spirit Lodge is just what you’ve been longing for. A soothing environment, inside and out. You’ll see a waterfall across the way, and have access to a wooden bench swing over the river. If you are planning an event or reunion, be sure and check out the Ravens’ Nest as well. Between the two there are accommodations for up to 10 people in the same convenient location. Lots of parking
Come to glorious White Salmon River, and take some quality time to retreat in our beloved Spirit Lodge. Ice cold Big Buck Creek from the nearby melting glaciers of Mt. Adams joins the White Salmon River right here in this cul de sac of three cabins. The Spirit Lodge, The Ravens' Nest and our personal cabin where we live full time. May we suggest you look up the Ravens’ Nest, if you want friends and family to join you in this sacred place. That unit overlooks the river directly. The Ravens’ Nest has a separate bedroom, a conventional toilet, and a regular range, in a newly appointed kitchen. We can accommodate six people there. We also encourage people with children and dogs to book the Ravens Nest. We’d like to hear about your particular dog, only because some dogs are too big or boisterous for these small cabins. We encourage all respectful guests to bring their beloved pet, but we do ask that you leave us $10.00 cash per night for your dog. Here at the Spirit Lodge we offer visitors a brand new “American Leather” Comfort Queen size Sofa Bed that gets rave reviews. We can have it pulled out and made as a bed before you arrive, or you can easily pull it out at your convenience. There's an upper loft with ladder to a double bed, great for the kids or the kids at heart :). We’ve had wonderful reviews, and in honor of the feedback we’ve gotten, we’ve made a few upgrades. This cozy abode now has a new Vermont Casting wood stove that is much more efficient than the oversized cast iron box stove we had last year. People seem to like to prepare food in the kitchen, so we have added a new quick response infrared cooktop unit, and more and better pots and pans. Please make note, the Spirit Lodge has a nicely designed composting toilet. When used correctly it is very clean and has no smell. We ask guests to read the Spirit Lodge Manual. In it are instructions on how to use the composting toilet correctly. We have plenty of parking, a shaded porch and a gas barbeque. You can hear the sound of the creek and the river from inside the Lodge (with the large windows open), and within a few seconds walk you can see it. We provide wireless wifi and cell coverage for our guests. Our user name is worldwind and the password is peace999. Thank you one and all!
It is in a delightful location, a short walk from the kayak and raft take out @ Northwestern Park. In the spring/summer there’s nothing more thrilling than a raft trip with one of the outfitters in Husum or BZ Corner just a few miles up the road. Go horseback riding at the nearby stables. Explore the whole Mt Adams corridor up Hwy 141. So full of “Curious Gorge” sights and sounds plus the exhilarating smell of nothing but Mother Nature’s own perfume. We are within easy driving distance to so much that makes the Columbia River Gorge a stunning vacation destination: wineries, breweries, cider houses, waterfall and wildflower hikes, bald eagle watching, winter sports, windsurfing and meandering the paths and back roads of some of the countries most beautiful places. We are about 12 minutes from downtown White Salmon which is a lovely little mountain town with drop dead gorgeous views of Mt. Hood and some great dining options (Everybody's Brewing, White Salmon Baking Co., Pioneer Pizza, and Feast). In the Summer, stop by Reigleman's Orchard just down the road for incredible berries, peaches, nectarines, apples, and pears. We have a very lovely grocery store--Harvest Market-- which is well stocked (plenty of local ingredients and everything else too). Downtown Hood River is about 15 minutes away.
• Outstanding stay at Oma’s place. The Spirit Lodge is a super cozy cabin perfect for a getaway to disconnect from technology and connect to each other! My husband and I had a very relaxing time playing games, taking naps, visiting and going into Hood River a few times. If you go make sure to get the full tour from the incredible hosts and learn the full history of the property. We slept on the pull out which was comfortable but I would suggest bringing a foam pad, a tad hard for me, but that’s just my personal preference. We will be back many times!

Vinny2020-03-08T00:00:00Z
• Great location. Wonderful touches. Oma had a fire going for us when we arrived. She was friendly and gave us privacy and space to enjoy ourselves.

• Wonderful spot with a rich history. Wish we had more time. The space is VERY well insulated and you will not struggle to stay warm.

Clifford2020-02-01T00:00:00Z
• Beautiful and cozy, the sounds of the white salmon river just tickling at your ears in the background, this place transports you, you are there and nowhere else. Such a wonderful and healing space!!

Located on our organic herb farm, our strawbale cottage w/ private patio is surrounded on all sides by the wild with Mt Hood views. Stay in a hand built piece of art on land brimming with love! This is a rustic setting for those who want to commune with nature. Our farm is off-grid & powered by solar. Hot shower & open-air kitchen in the pavilion May-Oct (see "Winter" restrictions). Composting toilet-Note bathroom is not in the cottage. Low EMF home. Thank you for supporting a small farm!
REFUND FOR NO DOGS: We have a $50 fee built into our cleaning fee for pets (there is no option for pet fees in ABB). If you are NOT bringing a pet, please let us know and we will refund you the $50 at the time of your reservation. WINTER: If booking November through Feb/March, please note that winter conditions can make this inaccessible. However, for snow-shoe access, send me a message (2.5 mile hike in)! Winter bookings will not have "running" water - so no hot shower. If driving access is available we will bring up potable water from our home for cooking, if snowshoeing/snowmobiling in then you will need to filter your own water from snow and bring your own bedding. Note that some of the information following is for our regular season, and some of it will not be correct for a winter booking: This beautiful slice of the Columbia Gorge is in a secluded and rustic setting. -This hand built cottage is made of strawbale wall with lime plaster, sheep's wool insulation in the cedar shake roof. This is a true experience! Views of Mill Creek Valley and Mt Hood in both the cottage and private patio. The cottage does not have a kitchen or bathroom INSIDE, however there is a covered pavilion with (almost) full kitchen, hot shower and composting toilet 100 yard walk away. -Queen bed on main floor of cottage with another queen in the loft. Locally made organic wool/cotton luxurious queen sized beds with all bedding (All of our bedding gets washed every time, so no bedspreads that see multiple users between washes. We use environmentally sound cleaning products.) *see restrictions of winter bookings - Hot water shower in our pavilion. (shower shared May - Sept) - Kitchen with grill, cook stove, small refrigerator, dishes/flatware, pots. Propane is provided. Kitchen facility is shared May - Sept. -Refreshing & delicious well water. - Cottage guests have sole access to a Sunmar Composting Toilet at the barn. Shared spaces include the pavilion with kitchen and shower. -Both the cottage and pavilion run completely on solar power. -If you prefer to check in before 5pm, send me a message and I can often accommodate early arrivals. - Dog bed provided for your furry friend. - If you are looking to book for a group, we have 2 tipis and a cottage! Rent the whole space. See our other listing: https://www.airbnb.com/rooms/34149863?s=67&shared_item_type=1&virality_entry_point=1&sharer_id=29004390 A few things: *Well behaved pets are welcome! *Even though we are in the Pacific Northwest, it is very dry here in the summer, and campfires are banned by law during the months of May - Oct. *We are a working farm. This means that occasionally we have equipment running in the early morning. So far, due to the location of the cottage and the direction the wind blows, this hasn't disturbed anyone yet. You are welcome to ask questions about our farm, and poke around. *Although our location is wild and remote, we are only a 20 minute drive to downtown White Salmon, where you can find restaurants, grocery stores, and supplies. We recommend bringing flashlights and headlamps. There are two tipis & a cottage located on our farm, but they are secluded from one another so you will feel as if you have the place to yourself. *The road here is bumpy, steep and not suitable for vehicles with low suspension. There is no residence at the farm, so if you are a solo traveler and uncomfortable with staying alone, then this is not a good fit. Not trying to sound scary, just want to provide as much info as possible for happy travelers :) We look forward to meeting you!
15 minute drive to White Salmon, WA. Or cross the bridge (another 5 minutes drive) to Hood River, OR. We are approximately 1.25 hours from Portland. Uber does not service this area.
• Each trip to Talia, Dave & Co.’s property is even more magical than the last. This was our third trip- the first two times were. staying in the tipis in summer. This stay in early March in the cozy cottage Dave crafted was AMAZING. It’s truly a magical place of serenity in the forest. The sky was so clear at night, it shown the full moon and Venus, so brightly. Twas beautiful in the night and day. The propane heater in the cottage was incredible and made it so cozy- our dog loved laying by “the fire” too and joyfully bounding about outside. We also appreciated the nearby composting potty house. My fav new addition to the kitchen (especially in winter)was the electric tea kettle for hot water, that was so helpful cooking, cleaning and being outside in the cold. Such a great family space, up a long unpaved road, in the most beautiful area and hosted by the kindest stewards of the land. Can’t wait to visit again.

Kristi2020-03-08T00:00:00Z
• I highly recommend this quiet, magical place for a retreat from the stress of daily life; it's a complete reset in the forest. There are so many thoughtful, handmade touches that make you feel well taken care of while also feeling removed and remote from civilization. It's a perfect balance.

Lauren2020-03-02T00:00:00Z
• This place was beyond my dreams perfect. I was looking for a 5 day retreat as far away from city life as possible... no cars, people, or lights... to reset my nervous system and reconnect with nature. I had no idea how truly remote this would be until I got there, but for me that was just what I longed for! Settling into the cottage in that cozy comfy bed looking out at the view of misty mountainous valley, a blanket of stars above... I thought I had died and gone straight to heaven, truly. This place is pure magic for the right person. I have dreams of living in a strawbale home some day too... there is something so magical about being in these structures! The kitchen is an outdoor one, so it’s kind of like glamping. It’s down a long mountainous off-road kind of road where 4WD is a good idea. But if you don’t mind these aspects, it’s a rare and unique gem of a place, one that that I almost don’t want to share with anyone else ; ) except for the fact that I also fell in love with the family that built and host this place! They are the sweetest salt of the earth folks, the kind you want to see thrive and be well supported. So know that when you stay there you are supporting amazing people who give their heart and soul to everything they do! I couldn’t wait to come back from the moment I arrived.

Kamila2020-02-29T00:00:00Z
• Warm cozy unique hobbit-like home. The tippis were so fun and the outdoor spaces enjoyable. The owners were readily available for any needs or questions and they left a hand-written welcome note accompanied with home-made organic chapstick. Will definitely stay again.

• Amazing place to relax

David2020-02-17T00:00:00Z
• Adorable, cozy, clean space!! The cottage is thoughtfully crafted an decorated, the bed was so comfy, and the panoramic views those huge windows offer was amazing! Trees are right next to the windows, so we got to watch squirrels and birds from inches away. The outdoor kitchen was well stocked with cookware, and we were able to enjoy a few meals by the fire pit while we watched the fog roll in. A perfect space to give yourself the opportunity to relax and do nothing - a reminder of the exhale and pause that winter allows us.

Olivia2020-02-14T00:00:00Z
• The strawbale cottage is such a dreamy getaway. Talia was so easy to communicate with, and made the stay incredibly enjoyable. I can’t wait to come back!!

Lex2020-02-09T00:00:00Z
• The cottage is a beautiful custom home with a solitary feeling that leaves you in awe of the nature around. Quick drive to and from town and a really fun drive up to the house itself. The home was clean and everything was really easy!

• The photos truly do not do it justice!! This property is simply gorgeous with so many beautiful details and was very clearly made with lots of love. The sauna followed by a plunge in the cold bath followed by a hot shower under the stars was the highlight of our stay. Karen and Chris were super friendly and inviting hosts and made sure we were very comfortable. It was a wonderful experience that I’d love to do again!

Carli2019-09-26T00:00:00Z
• Lovely place for an outdoor getaway! We went on a lovely hike about 15 mins away and were able to go into town for a yummy dinner and beer. So many thoughtful touches throughout! We will be back!

• We camp quite a bit so the glamping experience was quite nice. The place is AMAZING with the beautiful views of the gorge and the peaceful stream that was on the property. From the beer on tap to the heated blanket it was all an amazing stay. We only did one night but would love to have stayed longer as the little town of Stevenson also proved to be quite fun as well.

Tucker2019-09-21T00:00:00Z
• This spot is so much better than we imagined, so well designed and peaceful - the location feels really secluded but was within a few minutes drive of great food and beer, and within 30 minutes all directions to great experiences. The property has so many little areas to chill and very creative. Fantastic all around and we look forward to visiting again!

Cally2019-08-29T00:00:00Z
• Karen and Chris' place is an actual bonafide slice of heaven masquerading as a short-term rental property in Stevenson, WA. Beautiful views and cozy spots from which to enjoy them are always in surplus. You're also down the road from tons of craft beer and wine, great food, and more nature than you could possibly explore in one trip. We didn't want to leave, and can't wait to return soon.

James2019-08-25T00:00:00Z
• Best glamping experience ever. Such a cute place. Thank you for all of your suggestions on local spots and breweries. We loved everything.

Megan2019-08-23T00:00:00Z
• Hands down, the most special part of our two week trip. The location isn’t quite as remote as the photos make it look, but that doesn’t even matter. It was so rejuvenating to spend the day hiking in the Gorge, and the evening by a fire looking at the stars. The bed was very comfortable and the kitchen had all the basics you could need for “glamp” cooking. We will definitely be back!

The Little House on the Hill was built from pallet wood by my uncle over 20 years ago. It has about 300 sq. ft. of usable space. Decor is Native American. Rustic feel with relative privacy. Access to washer/dryer/ wi-fi in main house. Can hear creek in gully over the hill. Enjoy the possibility of seeing a pair of eagles soar overhead, or hummingbirds coming to feed. Fun little getaway to get back to the simple things!
The Little House has a single bedroom with twin bed ( additional twin air mattress available, if needed), two dresser drawers for clothing, night stand and lamp. . The adjoining bathroom has a sink, toilet and shower, equipped with a tankless hot water heater. The common living room/kitchenette area has a couch and chair, , small table and chair, microwave and mini-fridge. French Press, teapot and basic dishes and utensils are provided.
Within six miles of Woodland or Kalama, WA. About 45 minute drive from Portland Oregon. Within a couple hour!s drive to Mount St. Helens.
• Very clean and cute space. The location is perfect as it is close to freeway access but still far enough to enjoy the peace and quiet the surrounding nature brings. Really enjoyed my stay!

• Renées place is a real gem for those who like tranquility, and wants peaceful and beautiful surroundings. Renée was so welcoming and I felt at home right away. The little house is wonderful and she was also very positive about me bringing my dog with me. They have a gorgeous view from the house and just the house it self has a wonderful story to it. I highly recommend Renées place.

Maria2019-09-01T00:00:00Z
• Renée was very flexible with check in tumes and qas an overall fantastic host. I 100% recommend staying here! The house is nestled against a beautiful forest and sits on top of a hill with beautiful views. Also, her dog is adorable and very sweet!

• If you want to relax, take in some sunsets, enjoy local small town hospitality, this place is for you. Go with an open mind, accept what is there, make it work & relax. If you’re after hotel standards, but boring? This place may not suit.

Roy2019-08-26T00:00:00Z
• Oh my gosh. If you want a secluded area, a place to think and get away from it all, this is the place. One morning I sat on the deck in front of the log house, and as I looked up, I noticed the Columbia river directly in front of me while humming birds were flying all around. The trees, shrubbery, and mountain air completed this breathtaking moment. A wonderful experience all around. Thanks Renee.

Michael2019-08-20T00:00:00Z
• Renee and her dog were absolutely amazing. They both gave my husband, my dog, and me the warmest of welcomes and her space was incredibly charming. The view was unbeatable. I highly recommend this place to anyone looking to stay in the area.

Lily2019-08-06T00:00:00Z
• The place was adorable, we loved the decorations. It was a tad difficult to find at night (about 11pm) but not terrible. We wish we could've stayed longer. But was perfect for us. Renée was understanding and was right there to meet us! Definitely would go back.

Gabrielle2019-08-03T00:00:00Z
• We booked a stay at Renée’s for 25 days while we moved to the area. We found an apartment within the first few days, so we were only there for eleven days, but those days we were there, Renée was awesome! You can't get a much better price for your own unit. The surrounding woods are beautiful and you've got easy access to the 5. Renée made our stay amazing and is a lovely host! The space is extremely accurate to photos and offers a nice, relaxing stay.

This dreamy cabin (think A-frame with beautiful curves) has a PNW meets Scandinavian vibe. It sits on a private 5 acres and is only 1.5 miles from the restaurants, shops and action of downtown White Salmon. This magical piece of property is unique, private, set up as a retreat and can access hiking trails directly from the property. Recently renovated with modern conveniences and styled by a top Portland designer. Warning...You may never want to leave this special place.
This cabin was originally built in the 70's and was renovated in the summer of 2018. It is rare to find a a cabin so close to downtown (a 5 min drive) with this much acreage & seclusion. While you're near everything you want to do, the property makes it feel as if you're in the middle of nowhere. We are 10 minutes to the Hood River Bridge and easy access to all the fun of the Columbia Gorge! The home is approximately 2,100 square feet and those who appreciate interesting architecture will appreciate the aesthetic here. This 1971 Arched A-Frame Cabin retains all the natural beauty of the exposed cedar walls throughout, but is renovated with many modern upgrades and furnished by a top Portland designer in the Pacific Northwest/Scandinavian style. The home is accessed by a private gravel road off of Snowden Road and during dry weather, easy for all cars, but if it's snowy or icy out, we STRONGLY recommend an AWD vehicle. And, this home does get snow in the winter so be prepared for winter driving conditions if you are staying December- March. There is plenty of parking at the property. As you walk up to the home, you are greeted by a large wrap around deck with outdoor table/chair for dining. Stepping inside, you will be in the vaulted great room that serves as both a living and dining room. A wood burning fireplace (firewood is provided) can be used in cooler months to supplement the electric baseboard heat or simply for the joy of a crackling fire. The main floor contains the great room, kitchen, bath and master bedroom. The spacious kitchen is ready for you to cook! It has white quartz counters, dishwasher, oven/range, refrigerator and microwave. The kitchen is stocked with all the basics you might need including coffee maker, coffee grinder, toaster, pots/pans, baking dishes, serving dishes, glassware of every type and dishes. A gas BBQ can be found just outside the kitchen, on the deck. The sleeping areas consist of a master bedroom with a king sized bed on the main floor with an attached bathroom. The newly renovated bathroom has heated tile floors and shower. This is the only bathroom on the main floor so guests will be walking through the master bedroom to use this bathroom. The second sleeping area is the open loft and has a queen sized bed. This area is super cozy, but do keep in mind that the loft is open to the great room so those sleeping up there can hear those that might be up late hanging out or up early. The lower level of the home is a daylight walk out basement and has a second living room with a new Jotul propane gas stove to heat the lower level. There is also SmartTV equipped with Netflix or you can use your own login for Amazon Video and WIFI is provided throughout the home. The third and fourth sleeping areas can also be found on the lower level. We have a queen sized bed and a bunk bed (twin on top, full bed on bottom) that are in their own rooms, though there are no doors between the two rooms so expect limited privacy in this area. If you are sensitive to privacy among guests staying there, this place may not be the best fit for you. A full bathroom can also be found on the lower level with a tub/shower combo. A hot tub can be used by guests and is located outside the French doors on the lower level. Though, we have strict hot tub guidelines posted in the home, including shower prior, and expect guests to follow the rules. Now the land! Yes, there are 5 beautiful acres. About 1.5 acres are cleared and can be enjoyed by walking, playing in the yard, meditating or doing yoga outside. If you want to stretch your legs a bit, you can walk down a path on our property through the woods to hook into a few different hiking trails (more info on those trails at the house). Though, keep in mind that you are in nature and there can be wild animals out there. We often see deer and wild turkey at our house, but the Columbia Gorge does have much bigger animals out there, so always be prepared and alert. The cabin is great for those who want to getaway and relax or for groups who want cozy, intimate time to hang out. →DISCLAIMER: For your safety and the safety of others, surveillance cameras are installed outdoors at this property.
The home is down a private, rural road and without neighbors visible. You are surrounded by nature.
• Such a cute spot! We had a great time. Loved the ambiance in the cabin and close vacinity to town!

Jessica2020-02-11T00:00:00Z
• Wonderful space. It was a shorter stay, but super cozy and fun. Space is clean and stylish and very comfortable. We had snow while staying and that made it extra special. I plan to book this place again!

• had one of the best weekends of my life at this place with my friends. we all want to come back! i wouldn’t ask for a single thing to be different — it is perfectly secluded while only a few minutes from town! comfortable, interesting, well-stocked... what a treasure.

Amber2020-01-13T00:00:00Z
• This is a great place to stay for any occasion! It is conveniently located to get to many activities, but yet you are surrounded by a secluded property with plenty of things to do on site. The design of the cabin is beautiful and unique and the hosts include all the little touches that make a difference in a stay! Highly recommend visiting and we will definitely be back in the future!

Miranda2020-01-08T00:00:00Z
• This place is stupidly perfect. It’s seriously everything you could dream of in an Airbnb. We wanted to move in. The comfort, the decor, kitchen, property- everything was a dream. We watched a family of deer graze one morning over coffee. You’ll love this! Book ASAP. Only thing to keep in mind is only one bedroom has a door- so make sure you enjoy the group you go with!

• We loved our time at Kim’s place! The home is beautiful with lots of cozy and stylish touches. We can’t wait to come back!

Augusta2019-12-17T00:00:00Z
• We loved staying here! Our two families with young children were comfortable and wished we could have stayed longer. White Salmon is a very cute town, too. Loved how much privacy the cabin offered while still being less than a few minutes from shops, restaurants and fun. We’d definitely come back again! As another review pointed out, but I didn’t see until after staying, the only room with a door is the master bedroom. Not a huge issue but thought I’d mention in case another family or two with little ones is in need of some quiet spaces.

You'll have the entire ground floor, a two-room suite with large picture window views of Mt. Hood and the Columbia River. Windsurfers, kiters, and sailboats zip across the river right below your hot tub and patio. The bedroom has a TV & very comfortable queen bed. The TV room has a gas fireplace and a 46-inch TV with a DVD player. White Salmon is 3/4 mile away for dinner drinks or music. Hood River is directly across the Columbia River, 10 minutes away. The TV has Apple TV & Netflix.
We are on the bluff with a gorgeous, big view of Mt. Hood and the Hood River Valley. Enjoy the view during the day and the lights of the city, along with the stars and moonlight at night.
We are 3/4 mile from White Salmon and just across the bridge from Hood River. Everybody's Brewing, a great brew pub and casual restaurant, and Feast, a deli and restaurant, both have outdoor tables with great views of Mt Hood. Looking for a more upscale dinner? Try the Tarwater Tavern and Henni's for drinks and dinner. Breakfast? The incredible White Salmon Bakery with its wood fired oven makes great breakfasts and lunches as well as coffee. They are closed Tuesdays. Monday nights they are open for pizza. The North Shore Cafe is also great for breakfast and they are open every day. There are several brew pubs and more than 35 restaurants in Hood River, only 10 minutes across the bridge. There are also 30 wineries and 45 vineyards in the area. Columbia Gorge Wine has a web site. Interested in hiking? NW Hiker has a web site with lots of suggestions on where to hike by month and photos. Not every location is in the Gorge, but many are. Also Friends of the Gorge has many suggestions. Both sites have gorgeous photos. There are about 35 waterfalls in the area, some for hikers and some along the historic highway where one can literally drive by the base of the falls. Another hidden highlight is WAAAM, the Western Antique Air and Auto Museum. They have the largest collection of still-flying and still-driving antique aeroplanes and automobiles in the country... also motorcycles. On the second Saturday of each month, from 10 am to 2 pm, they take some of them out for a spin. If you are coming from out of state, a great resource for planning your trip is the Travel Oregon web site. They have lots of information, photos and ideas that sound great to local people too. Come and enjoy!
• This AirBnB is a gem! You will be truly happy relaxing in this space. It is perfect for creative inspiration and getting away from the grind of everyday bs. We never once felt like we weren’t alone, despite the fact that its a private suite, which I was originally worried about. Thanks to the hosts for being so respectful of our experience at their beautiful home.

Forrest2020-01-12T00:00:00Z

• Beautiful surrounds, comfy bed, sleek sauna, quick communication. A great place to unplug and ring in the new year!

Rachael2020-01-02T00:00:00Z
• This is the perfect romantic escape from the city. The space is quiet and although you’re on the host’s property, you don’t feel like it! We loved relaxing by the fire and playing games.

Reagan2019-12-15T00:00:00Z
• The yurt was awesome it was everything we expected there were some issues with the tub/sauna but they were very quick to help in whatever ways they could. If you have any questions or concerns all you need to do is ask and they'll be more than willing to help. The sheep were awesome to check out and we could see the chelatchie train from the property! At night the coyotes get really active and vocal, it was a really cool experience if you have dogs make sure to keep them within eyesight/ on leash if there prone to wondering. We enjoyed our stay very much and will be back again!

Liz2019-10-28T00:00:00Z
• Beautiful country, great space, and a great experience. The yurt was warm and comfortable, and the features rounded out the experience very well. We would definitely do this again.

Craig2019-10-21T00:00:00Z
• This place was the perfect romantic getaway. We loved the tub, sauna and fireplace. The wood burning stove to keep the yurt warm was so cozy and beautiful. We got fast responses from MacKenzie and Shawn. We quickly got swept up in the magic of this enchanting place. The views, and sheep were lots of fun too! The bed was a dream. All the cooking amenities and games were a plus. Can’t wait to come back for another glamping experience :)

Sydni2019-10-20T00:00:00Z
• We loved the yurt! So much love has been put into it and it’s so cozy. It was rainy when we went and we loved listening to the rain hit the roof of the yurt and enjoying the hot sauna.

Brittany2019-10-19T00:00:00Z
• We loved our farmstay! The yurt was so cozy, the bed was heavenly and the decor was thoughtful. A true glamping experience with benefits. The sauna was nice to sit in to take the chill off and the yurt had a wood stove to stay toasty when the weather got colder. Make sure you are capable of building and maintaining a fire if visiting during colder weather. Also go say hi to the sheep!

Daniel2019-10-13T00:00:00Z
• This is a lovely and secluded yurt in the country. We were very comfortable and enjoyed all of it. The sheep, the sauna, the outdoor kitchen and fire, all added to a fun and unique experience. Note that the wood stove is the only heat source, so you will have to stoke the fire during the nighttime if it’s cold outside; we didn’t mind at all. Also, check out the waterfalls nearby. Beautiful walking pack and rocks to climb on.

Open living area with two bedrooms on opposite sides of home. Adjoining bathroom to bedroom. Exquisite Native American artwork carvings and dolls. Welcoming and peaceful. Amazing view overlooking the Columbia River. Within two hours’ drive to north and south sides of Mount St. Helens. Six miles off I-5.
A one-of-a-kind architectural delight, built in the style of Navajo Hogan homes. Within easy driving distance of Portland, OR and Mount St. Helens. Kalama and Woodland, WA offer restaurants and grocery shopping options.
The house is in a very rural setting, at about elevation 1000 ft. You can hear a nearby creek running almost year-round. Eagle and Owl calls are common, and Coyote’s songs are sometimes heard at night. A true delight of Nature’s gifts to the senses!
• Renée was very friendly and welcoming. Her home is very uniquely designed and we enjoyed learning about the layout and beautiful paintings. The view was lovely, as well!

• Renee was very sweet, great with communicating in a timely fashion, and made my boyfriend and I feel so welcome. She gave us a tour of the house and had coffee set up to brew for us each morning. The space itself was as unique as you can see in the pictures! Her mother's artwork was astounding. She gave us some insight on her mother's work/life. The view was honestly one of the best parts. It's far removed from the city sounds and the room allows for so much natural light. We would wake early and sip our coffee on the porch and be greeted by many hummingbirds!! It was comfortable and we didn't mind the small bed and inflatable mattress and commute between Kalama and Portland :) Thank you Renee!!

Erika2019-08-17T00:00:00Z
• Renée was very sweet and a wonderful host. She even had coffee and cookies prepared for us in the morning. Her house was clean and I would definitely stay again.

• This is a very interesting home with many meaningful collections. Read the listing carefully. We did not but Renée was very accommodating in setting up an air mattress for us. The home is in a very beautiful area and Renée is knowledgeable about the Mount St.Helen's area.

This is nearly 100 year old cabin in the woods on the White Salmon river. Cabin 20 is the heart of the Columbia River Gorge. It is rustic but has all the amenities of modern home. It is light filled and cozy. There is a loft with a queen futon and 2 twin beds. There is a full sized bed in the downstairs(it is open plan). The kitchen is large and great for cooking. There are 2 eating areas inside and 3rd outside on the deck. The views are beautiful from all points inside the cabin. It is a short walk from the rafting pullout for world class white water rafting. There are several rafting companies just up the road in Husum. Trail heads are short walk from the front door. The great thing about Cabin 20 is that it feels remote but its near to everything: White Salmon, Hood River, Mt. Hood, Mt. Adams, wineries, horseback riding, rafting, hiking, kayaking, fishing, wind surfing. biking, berry picking (summer), snow sports/play (winter). I enjoy all of it but my favorite thing to do is to sit on the deck and read and bird watch. It is a really special place....
Our cabin sits in a cluster of 5 cabins. It is quite and once you are settled in you barely notice our neighbors. Most are not occupied full time. There are hiking trails near by. We are very near the rafting pull out for white water rafting on the White Salmon river. We are about 35 min to Mt Hood Meadows ski resort. The cabin is 12 min drive to White Salmon and 15 or so to Hood River.
• Snowzie's cabin was incredible!! It was close to trails and the river. She has it decorated super cute and homey making for a very cozy weekend! She also has all the amenities one could ask for. Cooking in that awesome kitchen was easy and inviting. I would highly recommend!

Stephanie2020-02-17T00:00:00Z
• 2nd time staying at Snowzies place. I had a really lovely and comfortable visit again. The neighbors are very close and the walls are a bit thin for playing a some music. The neighbors will complain. But otherwise it was nice time.

Madeleine2020-02-09T00:00:00Z
• Snowzie’s cabin was just what was needed- A quiet cabin in the woods, next to a roaring river, nestled in fog one minute and alive with sunshine the next. I arrived worn down by work and left with my senses rejuvenated. The whole family loved it and we can’t wait to come back.

Daniel2020-01-27T00:00:00Z
• This cabin was the best little spot to cozy up for our girls weekend of wine drinking, snowboarding, and relaxing! We loved the decor, which is vintage but trendy with ease. The kitchen was fully stocked with utensils and spices, as well as easy to navigate when we cooked meals before and after days exploring the town or skiing at Mt. Hood Meadows! A couple of us worked on our fire building skills and really loved the feel of a hearty wood stove. White Salmon has a lovely charm, cute restaurants and easy to access Hood River destinations too. We are already wanting to book another trip to the cabin in the spring or summer. Thank you Snowzie for allowing us to share your perfect space!

Kennedy2020-01-19T00:00:00Z
• Snowzie’s cabin is exactly as expected. It’s beyond charming in all the best ways. It’s very secluded. There are a few other cabins very close by, but somehow you don’t even notice. It was indeed very cold. I read the reviews early on and came with layers and prepared. Follow her instructions meticulously on starting the wood stove. If you do this, you will have it up and running quickly and it will keep that little cabin nice and cozy. I did not realize it was so close to (almost on it) the river which was a very pleasant surprise. You can listen to the water from the back porch. The trail along the river is lovely and just beautiful to walk. It is a little further away from White Salmon than I expected, but that didn’t bother me. Just be prepared if you are arriving after dark. It’s a bit windy and dark. We can’t wait to go back and will likely do so in the fall after doing it in the winter this time.

Roni2020-01-14T00:00:00Z
• Beautiful and calming. A great spot to explore Mt. Adams or Mt. Hood. We loved our winter stay in this adorable cabin in the woods.

Lauren2020-01-06T00:00:00Z
• We spent 5 amazing days in this nice cabin in the woods next to mountain river. The place is very well equipped: we found everything we needed during our stay. The central piece of the cabin is danish wooden stove, Morsø, that kept us warm and cozy. Great place and fantastic vacation.

My place is close to family-friendly activities, great views, kayaking, fishing, rafting, hiking. My place is good for couples, solo adventurers, XC skiing near by and families (with kids). PLEASE BE ADVISED: Daylight check in required! We will not be available for showing you the way in the dark. This is a heavily forested area that can be challenging to navigate in the dark. We have unleashed dogs that are extremely friendly. Winter does not allow shower or running water. Happy trails!
We are tucked in the woods, only 12 miles from Hood River. You will be surrounded by wildlife as well as domesticated animals. We have very friendly dogs, Quilla and Griffin that will greet you. They are off leash at all times and extremely friendly. However, if you are timid of dogs, this would not be a good fit. Our yurt offers you a Glamping (glamorous camping) experience. We hope you will find just what you need to be comfortable. Winter months do not allow shower or water amenities. February- October, bring shower shoes and a robe for outdoor shower!! If you book in the winter, please be advised it will be like dry camping- bring your own wood and water. Keep in mind that this is still considered camping. Although comfortable, please don't expect it to have all the luxuries of a home. Bring some cozy slippers to keep your feet warm as we prefer to minimize the impact by leaving shoes at the door. Bring your own water or jugs to fill and haul like you would at any dry camp site.
You can howl and scream as loud as you want!! We live in the woods. Some would say in the Deep woods! It's a dirt road to our house and although the county does care for it during winter months, you will need AWD to even make it up our driveway. We have a great proximity to Mount Adams. There are plenty of trails and fun winter sports to do up there including cross country skiing and snowshoeing. Please be advised, we cannot offer you a warm shower during winter months. You need to be OK with roughing it a little bit :-) also, we are parents to two very small children. Out of respect for their bedtimes as well as the neighborhood we ask that guests arrive during daylight hours. We have provided early check in hours. We will not be able to assist you past dark for your arrival. The area is too challenging for you to navigate on your own in the late night. We want you to safely see the area and have a wonderful time. There is a wooden round house about 75 feet from the yurt that is occupied. The tenant there is extremely respectful of guests and will be available to assist with guest needs. Expect a burn ban to be in effect as of July 1 until usually October 1. The county does not allow any fires of any sort.
• If you are looking for a simple peaceful experience, this is your place. You will have everything you need here. It's very comfortable, cozy, and although you are only 20 minutes from town, you feel very tucked away. All the animals are sweet and Kathryn and her family were very friendly. Kathryn does a great job with details on what to expect, so there were no surprises. Communication was great and we couldn't have asked for a better experience. We will be back. Thank you.

• Wonderful space!

• Fun little yurt in the woods! We loved the pups who kindly showed us the way to our yurt. Great “glamping” experience for my brother in law who had never been camping.

• Enjoyed it!

Blair2019-11-10T00:00:00Z
• This spot was perfect and exactly what we were looking for. The wife and I are used to tent camping, so staying in the yurt was very cozy and dry during a wet weekend. The location was great, too, close to many hikes for viewing waterfalls and several local breweries. Kathryn was always quick to respond via text and check-in was a breeze. We would definitely stay here again.

James2019-10-20T00:00:00Z
• We were attending a wedding at the Tin Roof barn, this location was just a short 5 min drive. The yurt was extremely well kept, one of the most comfortable beds, and so quiet and peaceful. They even have a fairly comprehensive collection of maps, books, local venues in the area should you find yourself looking for adventures. Would highly recommend staying here! Host are amazing, property is amazing, and overall a great experience. Thanks for having us!

Location, Location, Location!!! This basement apartment is quiet, warm and close to everything! Excellent for solo travelers, buddies on a road trip, two couples or families of four on a budget! Pet friendly too so come and enjoy the Columbia Gorge! Weekly rental only beginning in 2018 from June through Sept....still a bargain at $350 per week!
This apartment has a separate entrance and is very private and within walking distance to town. The apartment is quiet, affordable and walking distance to everything and is great for couples, families of four, solo adventurers and your furry friends too! Please be aware though that this is my home and my son and I reside upstairs, so you will probably hear foot traffic in the morning when I am getting ready for work or on the weekends when I get up for coffee. I want you to have a pleasant experience and so far everyone has, but I need you to know about the space you are renting.
We live just on the west end of the awesome little town of White Salmon, about a 5 minute walk to shops and restaurants.
• Comfortable and private accommodations just a short walk from the shops & cafes in White Salmon.

• This is a clean, well-appointed and cozy place, close to town. A great value for the price. Jonathan is an excellent and thoughtful host. A bit hard to find, but worth the search.

• Jonathan's place was awesome! Nothing fancy but we did not need or want to pay for fancy. He is a very nice and helpful person. There is plenty of room and the things we needed. We highly recommend Jonathan's!

• Jonathan is an outstanding host - he quickly to respond to messages and keeps you updated on anything occurring around the property (like a cougar visit!) The space itself is clean and has a variety of kitchenware and cooking options (microwave, toaster oven and a hot plate) to heat leftovers or make meals from scratch. Downtown White Salmon is less than 5 minutes away on foot, and the road does not have heavy traffic. Overall perfect for my needs.

This secluded, adventure retreat cabin sits at the edge of Mt Adams and the Gifford Pinchot National Forest. Modern comforts and amenities combined with a private hot tub deck and backdoor access to trails make this destination ideal for any mountain getaway. → Hot tub with grand celestial view → Wood stove for building crackling fires → Fully equipped kitchen → Living area with room to stretch out → Lofted bedroom with standing room → Outdoor clay chimney fire pit and deck seating
Relax in this cozy 1 bedroom, 1 bathroom log cabin after a day spent playing in the epic outdoors of southwestern Washington and the Columbia River Gorge. On the main floor, you’ll find a fully equipped kitchen, complete with coffee maker, blender, waffle maker and more, as well as the bathroom with an on-demand hot water heater provides instantly perfect shower temperatures. Plug into the stereo and build a fire in the beautiful wood stove on a chilly, mountain night (we’ve got instructions to help). Or, relax to a movie on Netflix with the 5g internet. Walk up the hand-hewn log stairs to relax on the queen bed, complete with luscious organic linens and a pillow-top mattress. Outside, old growth Ponderosa Pine trees nestle the cabin on one side and an open field stretches out on the other side to welcome the sunrise. The hot tub sits on the private back deck just off the living room. Benches and chairs along the deck welcome a quiet moment with morning coffee, or a laughter-filled group. Picnic tables in the lawn make outdoor dining among the old-growth pines easy. A small creek runs along the eastern edge of the property and into the nearby state forests, just a 0.2 mile stroll from the cabin. Large Elk herds and other wildlife frequent the nearby Conboy Lake Wildlife Refuge and other wilderness areas. Get Ready to Bliss-Out<\b> With wet hair from the hot tub and a full heart from exploring a truly magnificent area, you’ll melt right into the mattress (especially with the organic linens and pillow-top). The sound of the crackling fire after a day spent rafting the White Salmon River, hiking around Mt Adams Wilderness, or road biking Washington’s rural mountain expanse makes for a rather blissful experience. Of course, that’s just one of the reasons we love this place. We’d love to hear how it captures you for an excellent mountain escape. Nearby Adventuring Exploring out the back door is our favorite thing about this cabin. Our network of local retired logging roads on state forest lands adjacent to the property can be accessed directly from the back of the Cabin after about about ¼ mile hike through the fields. Meandering under the canopies of massive Ponderosa Pine with access to the Klickitat River can be done with shoes, bikes, or skiis. Imagine snowshoeing out the back yard or rolling your bike tires over endless dirt pathways to come home to a warm fire and hot tub soak. We’ll have a map for you to set off with confidence. Of course, hopping in the car for 20 minutes to be at the base of the 12,280-ft Mt. Adams and the endless trail options throughout the GIfford National Forest and Mt Adams Wilderness is not a bad option either. Road cyclists find this area of Washington and find themselves coming back more and more frequently each year. The roads that weave through and encircle the valley give riders nearly continuous views of the snow-capped volcanoes: drawn by Mt Hood on the declines and pulled by Mount Adams on the inclines. Mountain bikers will find trails within the nearby National Forest areas as well. We’re partial to the whitewater rafting and kayaking on the nearby White Salmon River, Klickitat River or Wind River having moved to the region for these whitewater gems and guided their rapids for many summers. Basically, the adventure options here are truly endless. Local Food Glenwood, your nearby small ranching and timber town has all you could need for your cabin retreat. The General Store, owned by the Yakama Nation contains surprising luxury camping items as well as essential pantry items like wine and cheese. Milkshakes, burgers, or beers on tap at the Glenwood Station may also complement your time in the area nicely. Weather At 2,000 feet elevation, Glenwood’s night time temps tend to drop without cloud cover, even in the summer. Dark skies reveal the Milky Way (while viewed from the hot tub, of course) and the stars light up with almost no light pollution nearby. Other Tips We recommend swinging into the cabin closer to your check-in time and hitting a local trail to enjoy the sunset (or slip right into that hot tub on the porch). In the colder months, you’ll want to turn up the two radiant heaters and start a fire as soon as you arrive. It takes a few hours to fully heat the cabin to that ideal cozy, mountain-cabin temperature. Or arrive late after a big day and plan on spending time under the Pendelton blankets with a good book or your current favorite Netflix binge as that fire fills the cabin with warmth. Children are welcome, but should be under adult supervision when using the stairs as there are gaps between the lower stairs and the railings. Glenwood has very little cell phone service, but the cabin is equipped with high-speed internet. You’ll want to set your navigation to the cabin before arriving in Glenwood.
• What a slice a paradise! With Mt. Adams as your backdrop, the location doesn't disappoint. If you're in search of a quiet getaway equipped with a hot tub, wood stove, and easy access to nature, the Mt. Adams Cabin Retreat is right up your alley. I'll definitely be booking this again!

Digital detox in our charming 100-year-old farmhouse on 21 acres, 10 minutes from the Gifford Pinchot National Forest, near Mt St Helens, Mt Rainier & White Pass. Four+ bedrooms, bath/shower, full kitchen, fire pit, trails & indoor/outdoor games.
Our city kids loved spending their weekends here while growing up. Made from first-growth timber from the turn of the century, the house is walled in restored vintage fir bead board, has built-in cabinetry and architectural details made from poplar. Warm and inviting, you will be charmed by the architectural details and antique furnishings. The four bedrooms will sleep 8 people. In a pinch, the living room sleeper sofa can accommodate another 1-2, and a tiny room upstairs with a day bed that can sleep one. There is a covered shed where additional people can camp out in sleeping bags during the summer. There is a vintage 1940 two-hole outhouse. Take a broom to remove the cobwebs! It's fun to pee outside! If you have a city dog, he or she will LOVE Randle. There are more than 20 acres where your pet can run free, without concern for cars. Please let us know if you plan to have your pet join you. We usually suggesting bringing bedding or a crate for your pet. This is a country house that our family has used for two decades. You are experiencing it the same way we do. Please treat it with care :)
Randle is a small town overlooking the Big Bottom Valley. The nearby Gifford Pinchot forest is a fecund environment where mushroom hunters find chanterelles and matsutake in the fall. During the winter, White Pass is a 40 minute drive to some great skiing and snowboarding. Nearby Cispus Center, Ape Caves and lakes for fishing and boating are an easy drive. At night the skies are studded with stars, and it's a great place to view the Perseid meteor showers in August. There is wildlife in the area. Coyotes can be heard in the distance. Elk walk through the property to the valley below. Deer graze in the meadows around the house. Black bears occasionally visit the area to forage. Bats feed on insects at dusk. Eagles and hawks can be seen hunting in the sky.
• A timeless gem in a serene setting.

Nikki2020-02-24T00:00:00Z
• This listing was one of our best stays yet! We saw countless elk and other serene nature scenes, relaxed by the fire and enjoyed every other details provided by the wonderful hosts. All in all it was a well thought space and we were sad to leave!

• This house is so charming! A great place to get away and relax and enjoy quality time with friends or family. We stayed with a group of friends and our dogs. There were plenty of games for us to play around a table and the property is beautiful to walk and let the dogs and kids play. And the view of the valley below is so beautiful 😍

Dray2020-02-02T00:00:00Z
• Peace and quiet...exactly what we needed. Had a fire outside and enjoyed the stars. Totally worth the time and money

Shanna2020-01-26T00:00:00Z
• We absolutely loved the house and the location. It had just snowed, and the property and views were beautiful. The kitchen had everything we needed to make meals, and there was more than enough space for 8 people to be comfortable. It was easy to get to the National Forest nearby to snowshoe. Terri really went out of the way to make sure that we were ok especially because of the snow, which I really appreciated. I highly recommend to anyone looking for a beautiful place to relax.

Kristen2020-01-19T00:00:00Z
• Incredible historic house, beautiful view, plenty of room for several adults. Great spot.

John2020-01-13T00:00:00Z
• Beautiful setting to watch out over the valley from the porch in good weather and the front windows in stormy weather. You can expect a rustic and tastefully restored farmhouse with all the comforts of home to relax and unwind in. We enjoyed the property, views, time spent with friends, and a day up at White Pass Ski Area. This house accommodated our group of three couples, one single, a toddler and two dogs very well. I think you will enjoy the house, and it’s story, as much as our group did.

• What an incredibly beautiful home! My husband & I stayed here for a weekend away from the city, and it was absolutely perfect for a restful, secluded, & cozy getaway! Liz is such a wonderful host, thoughtful, and communicative! She suggested that we go bundle up & go outside to star gaze as they’re SO bright beautiful, so many starssss! The upstairs loft bedroom is the coziest bedroom we’ve ever seen, so many cozy, cute interior design touches, and the sunshine streaming into the living area in the morning was amazing. Everything about this home is beautiful. We would stay here a million more times if we could! :) Thank you for letting us stay in your beautiful home!

• Such a beautiful home! Back from the road, quiet and peaceful. Had a great time!

Jennifer2019-08-25T00:00:00Z
• Lovely home, even better than the pictures. My 5 year old kids absolutely loved the toys and play structure. Only thing I was surprised by was that there wasn’t a microwave or TV. Not a big deal at all for us, but as it was a surprise I thought I would mention it. Thanks again for the great get away!

Beth2019-08-24T00:00:00Z
• If you are looking for a magical family bonding experience, this is the place. It’s smack in the middle of the gorgeous countryside with kid friendly touches throughout. There’s no TV, but that adds to the overall experience. My husband and I would put records on at night and have dance parties with our little one. We spent every day on the swing set out back. And there are lots of gender neutral toys/games to keep us occupied. The joy on our daughter’s face to be spending such “quality” time with her parents was priceless. The home is stylish and well appointed. The beds are quality and comfy. There’s no AC but we were there in the middle of August and found the fans, master AC unit and open windows kept the home comfortably cool. We loved our experience so much we ended up extending our stay. 5 stars!

Jacy2019-08-21T00:00:00Z
• This place was amazing! Our party included several children so the amenities for little ones couldn’t have been better including the toys, play area, and extra high chair/pack n play. Loved how it was close to town yet secluded enough to feel like a true getaway. All the finishes were on point and made us feel right at home.

Jared2019-08-18T00:00:00Z
• The Red A frame was everything we expected and then some! It was clean and welcoming with a great view of Mt. Hood and a wonderful space for my girls (8 and 5) to play inside whether it was reading books on the swing or swinging on the swing set outside!! The beds were super comfortable and the location of the house was an easy two miles to the town of Hood River! We had a very relaxing stay and would love to come back next year

Jamie2019-08-14T00:00:00Z
• The home is a well maintained A-frame with lots of nice touches, near several great wineries, everyone in our group enjoyed it. The instructions were simple and easy to follow.

Scott's place is so thoughtfully designed to be calming, comforting, restoring, and rejuvenating. We loved the comfort of cooking in the beautiful kitchen, the relaxing hot tub with a beautiful view day or night, and the easy access to lots of nearby outdoor activities. We couldn't have been more thrilled with our weekend getaway!

The place is very neat and clean. I would most definitely recommend Scott’s place!

The Hood River toll bridge spans the Columbia River and connects the city with the communities of White Salmon and Bingen located in the state of Washington. Major local industries include orchards and fruit packing, healthcare, timber, software engineering and technology, tourism and recreation (particularly windsurfing, kiteboarding, cycling and mountain biking, hiking and skiing). Hood River is home to four breweries, a growing wine industry and a thriving food scene.
the view is awesome, and the street is very quite with great access to downtown walking distance. Warning: we are on top of the hill from downtown. Walk down steps is easy, walk back is not so easy but a great way to work off that dinner or lunch or beer/wine :)
• Excellent little place to stay near town. Cozy and convenient!

• Highly recommend walking along the trail system by the house! Access to the trailhead is just a couple of blocks away.

• Lana's place is a great base for exploring the mid Gorge area. The bay windows have an amazing view of the river and Oregon hills, great space for cooking and hanging out.

Aaron2019-09-15T00:00:00Z
• It is super clean with gorgeous outdoor views and beautiful kitchen. If you have toddlers who loves to just run around, this is a good safe space. My 2 year old never felt restricted and loved just running around . Has good storage spaces in each rooms.

• We along with our friends had a wonderful stay at this home and enjoyed very much. Stevenson is quaint little town with amazing beauty and scenery. The home is very cozy, the view of the river is amazing and the location is perfect with all amenities very nearby , yet this home is very private, almost like a hidden gem. The host is amazing with very good communication. There is a park within walking distance along the Columbus river. Its very serene and scenic. We will definitely like to come here again!

Ravi2019-09-02T00:00:00Z
• I booked this room for someone other than myself; however, all reports could not stop raving about Lana and her darling place with an even more stunning view. On my end, Lana was always very prompt with communication and was extremely kind and helpful as I explained the booking (needed a place for an emergency on call / support staff volunteer to stay while I took a group of students backpacking near the Gorge) Lana and her family extended a great deal of generosity and hospitality to Rachel, and she could not stop raving about the place. I look forward to staying as a guest myself soon!

Ashley2019-08-21T00:00:00Z
• The place was very nice, spacious, in a quiet neighborhood, and with a lovely view of the Gorge from the living room and front bedroom.

Vicky2019-08-19T00:00:00Z
• Lana’s place has stunning views! We walked to get coffee at the bottom of the hill & came back to enjoy the view each morning. So beautiful! The location is great for a peaceful getaway but also only a mile from downtown Stevenson & a short drive to Hood River. There are several trains going through the area daily so if you are a light sleeper & want to sleep in, bring earplugs. There is plenty of space for a small family with a nice yard space & patio just for the guests. We would definitely stay at the Catfish again!

Jill2019-08-04T00:00:00Z
• Insanely beautiful view, huge kitchen and living room, comfy beds. Great place to stay

Daniel2019-07-21T00:00:00Z
• Catfish cottage is in a great location with fantastic views. Responsive hosts, clean home, great shower/bath & nice seating outside to read & gaze at the gorge.

• Honestly, I could not have been more pleased with my stay! Other reviewers say the same thing, but the view was out of this world, and even better than the pictures show. I have already told friends and family to rent from Libby if they are in the area! The place is absolutely perfect for a solo traveler (like me) or for a couple. If I find myself back in the area, Libby’s place is the first place I will try to book.

David2020-03-09T00:00:00Z
• Stunning views and pristine little cabin! Stocked with everything you may need, plus maps and hiking guides! Stevenson is adorable

• This place and its breathtaking view were absolutely perfect for my husband and I. We hikes the Falls near Multinoma Falls and had a perfect day. Big Foot Coffee was delicious! We ate at Backwoods Brewery and would HIGHLY recommend it!

Jennifer2020-02-20T00:00:00Z
• The cabin was super cozy and very clean. Craig and Libby were great hosts and even gave me a lift into town to get groceries. It rained for the first few days but that made it even cozier and more relaxing. The view of the Gorge, when you could get a glimpse, was beautiful. Oh and the bed was amazing!

Joy2020-01-25T00:00:00Z
• The view alone is breathtaking...a perfect little cabin to retreat and relax with with mountain views for days! the hosts left such thoughtful personal touches that made our stay extra-ordinary!

• Matt & Micki’s cabin was more than we could have asked for. The pictures don’t do it justice. The cabin itself was very clean and spacious. My husband, 3 year old daughter and I stayed there. It was very kid friendly and safe even with it being a loft. It had great attention to detail. The farm is what does it. The property is absolutely beautiful. We were met by Micki who took us for a tour of the farm. She let me daughter pet the alpaca’s which was really cool. They have two very friendly dogs that were great and a 3 cats. My daughter loved every minute of it. Matt & Micki were great host and very easy to communicate with. Can wait to stay there again.

• HIGHLY recommend this cabin, the pictures don’t do it justice. Beautiful setting, coffee/fruit/snacks/games included, and we so enjoyed being around all the animals. We plan to visit again!

Claire2020-02-24T00:00:00Z
• Matt and Micki’s place was a phenomenal choice for a perfect getaway weekend! From the communication prior to the trip to the ease of checking out this place has everything you need! The queen beds were very comfortable, and the space was beautifully designed. We appreciated the hot tub as well as the fire stove since it got a bit chilly out in the evening. Even the small touches such as the s’mores pack, the pears and the extra towels, these were nothing short of amazing hosts. Also, they recommended a local place called Chips for dinner (must be 21+) for the most delectable brisket that I for one will definitely be back for! Thank you again for a wonderful stay!

Roslyn2020-02-23T00:00:00Z
