  • Cute place deep in the woods! Please be sure to talk to the host about the closed road on the way in to the place. Everything was clean, and it was a great place to bring our puppy. Also let us book with very little notice, which was highly appreciated. Definitely recommend for anyone in this area!

  • Great place for rustic beauty and nature. Ax throwing was a plus and the gas grill was great to cook on. Beds were comfy and shower was hit. Location is remote for a reason!

  • Perfect place for us to recharge after way too many hours in the car driving from Maryland toward Colorado. Peaceful, wooded, scenic, private. Owls hooting and birds singing. And the bed is so very comfy.

  • Terrific hosts in a wonderfully peaceful setting. I needed a quiet place to work, devoid of distractions, so I could develop my company's business plan for the next few years. Mission accomplished! Constance and Mike exceeded expectations -- they were absolutely delightful. The cabin was spotless, and Constance added nice personal touches to make the cabin comfortable and the stay enjoyable. Even though I was there to work, I felt at home right away, enjoyed some lovely conversation, and really hated to leave so soon. I plan to return again next year, but maybe this time just for fun.

  • Beautiful location and super nice hosts.

    Justice2019-09-15T00:00:00Z
  • Great little hidden treasure! We loved sitting around fire listening to the night sounds. Peaceful and away from the rush of town & people but still close enough to things we wanted to do. Constance & Mike were a pleasure to meet & great to help with any of our questions.

The 1938 barn is in the ❤ of Parke County and Covered Bridge Country. You will love the rustic charm of the converted barn that my Great Grandfather built in 1938. Guests are welcome to use the private bar to relax, get a few veggies from the garden, fish my favorite places at the lake or just chill at the camp fire. Enjoy all of the great nature activities around while staying at this unique, secluded country getaway!
This rustic barn apartment is situated a quarter mile off South SR 59 • 1 mile North of Mansfield. This space also offers a private butcher shop that can be arranged for use. We just added a small kitchenette in the apartment equipped with a mini fridge, microwave, and Keurig. There is a full kitchen in the bar area, just note that the bar space is not climate controlled.
We are about 1/2 mile off the road. There are a couple of weekend places on adjoining property. When you sit outside all you will see are fields and woodland. Raccoon Lake, Turkey Run, Lake Waveland and Shades state parks are very close. There is plenty of room for parking boats or trailers on the property
  • What is described not for everyone. Beautiful place that is a bit different than normal! Enjoyed the bar in the barn with pool and darts. Easy drive to all that Parke County has to offer and both Turkey Run and Shades State Parks. Will absolutely stay here again!

    Kyle2020-03-29T00:00:00Z
  • Very lovely barn with a nice wood-burning stove. We were warned that there was no WiFi and poor connection, so it didn’t catch us off-guard. We have Verizon and had trouble finding connection even in town in Rockville. Definitely a nice place to disconnect. The barn is pretty close to Turkey Run which we spent much of our time at. The bed is VERY firm but that wasn’t too bad. We loved hearing the frogs calling during the evening!

    Val2020-03-16T00:00:00Z
  • Nice place. We will return.

  • A great time to relax and enjoy just being out of the craziness of life and very awesome host!

    Lisa2020-02-16T00:00:00Z
  • Great place especially if you are looking to disconnect. Joe was very helpful through out the entire stay and consistently checked in if I needed anything. No amenities were missing. Place was clean and as described. The bar area is great especially if you are visiting with some friends. I would def come back again !

  • Very unique building and a great value for the price. Book it, you won’t be disappointed!

    Andrew2020-01-05T00:00:00Z
  • This is hands-down my favorite Airbnb thus far. The drive to this place is filled with adorable farmland and the place itself is tactfully decorated, cozy, and very clean. It's nice to be secluded from cell-signal- really makes you enjoy the badass bar just above the apartment! Joe is a great host- and quick with communication. The location is perfect for a quick drive to Turkey Run, local antique shops, and a killer bar- just down the road. Will 100% try to book the Barn again in the future.

    Nicholas2019-11-21T00:00:00Z

    Patricia2019-10-26T00:00:00Z

  • Small and cozy cabin. We loved being out in the country. Jean. Left smores to enjoy but the weather wasnt that great for a hot fire but yummy micro smores are yummy. Jean went over the top in hospitality. We enjoyed our quiet two night stay

    Denise2019-10-01T00:00:00Z
  • Great small cabin right next to Turkey Run Park. Remote enough to enjoy the quiet but convenient to parks, and shops in Rockville. Property includes some short trails and a creek and is right next to a covered bridge. Very scenic. And Jean really goes above and beyond, working very hard to make sure you have everything you need.

    David2019-09-23T00:00:00Z
  • Looking for a great place that's super close to the parks and kayak rentals then look no further.

    Walt2019-09-05T00:00:00Z
  • My husband Jeremy & I absolutely loved Jean's Spring House! It was the perfect accommodation for a 3 night stay in the area enjoying Turkey Run! The air b&b had a nice TV with DVD/VHS slots, A/C, a mini fridge, microwave, and a great shower. The place is compact, and we had to sleep on separate beds, but we really didn't mind at all. It was just enough space! The highlight was the picnic table/fire pit just to the side of the Spring House. We absolutely loved making hotdogs & marshmellows over the fire, yet having the luxury of A/C and a nice shower after. Our host Jean was amazing, the whole area lost power for some time on our last day & she was there quickly setting up a generator when we got back so we could have power! Very quick to communicate & it was very easy checking in! Just a note: Make sure to take photos of the check-in before you leave, you may not have reception in the area! Overall, this was one of our favorite air b&b's & vacations we have been on, thank you Jean!

Quaint, quiet and cozy country cottage set in a tranquil park like setting with all the amenities of home. Close to Shades and Turkey Run State Parks. A great place to stay for the Covered Bridge Festival or the races at the GNCC Track. Only 15 minutes to Wabash College and 25 minutes to DePauw University. We live on site. We clean the cottage in accordance with the CDC guidelines to ensure your stay is safe.
The cottage is separate from the main house. You can come and go without disturbing anyone - plenty of privacy. There is an eat-in kitchen and a spacious bathroom supplied with many amenities. The furnishings are comfy and the peace and quiet is delightful. The fridge is stocked with fresh farm eggs to start your day out right, compliments of our hens (No roosters to wake you), as well as coffee, tea and all the fixings. The bedroom has a queen bed and the living area has two comfortable futon couches that each make into a full size bed. A Pack and Play is also available for the little ones. There are two small dogs in the main house and cats on the farm. We do not allow them in the cottage
The cottage is close to the main house and looks out over the surrounding woods. It's a very quiet and tranquil setting with no neighbors, although you may hear coyotes calling at night or see some deer during the day. The surrounding roads are not heavily traveled and it's safe to take a nice long walk and just enjoy the quiet and the countryside.
  • Teri is an excellent host who was very proactive with informative communication. She was flexible with our check-in and allowed us to drop off bags early before heading out to explore. Mimi's place was comfortable and cozy for the three of us (mom, dad, 22 year old daughter) and the location was perfect for exploring Shades and Turkey Run State Parks. We used the well-stocked cooking facilities for breakfast and lunch meals and really enjoyed the farm fresh eggs. We also thought the bluetooth, guitar wall speaker was a great touch and the futon couch was very convenient for relaxing and watching TV. Overall, everything was very well stocked (towels, linens, toiletries, kitchen supplies) and there are thoughtful touches throughout. We highly recommend staying at Mimi's Place!

    Jamie & Lisa2020-03-19T00:00:00Z
  • Teri’s place is great. It’s in the country, so you’re not bothered by a lot of noise. The cottage is quaint and packed with thoughtful amenities. Teri was always quick to respond to inquiries. This is a place I’d definitely book again.

  • Great experience at Mimis!!! They even shoveled the sidewalk multiple times. Thank you. We loved everything from the eggs to the comfortable bed!!

    Amy2020-02-14T00:00:00Z

    Nik2020-01-19T00:00:00Z
  • It was our second time staying at Mimis Country Cottage and everything was great again! Wonderful host, great amenities, close to state parks. I highly recommend staying here.

    Matthew2020-01-12T00:00:00Z
  • I absolutely loved my stay. Teri went above and beyond with her wonderful hospitality. This cottage is such a quaint and tranquil place that everyone will love. She always makes sure that you have all that you need and for some reason if you didn't (which I had everything) she would make sure she got it for you. The interior is so unique and adorable that you will fall in love and ask her where she obtained the decorations. The scenery is beautiful and all nature. Those adorable pups and kittens of hers will make you smile and want to take them home with you. Best experience I have ever had. Teri and her family I think of as my own family now.

  • Lisa’s “Getaway” was just what we needed after a long day of traveling. Tony & Lisa greeted us with a warm welcome and offered to help us unload our things. They showed us where everything was & how to use the hot tub, which was so relaxing. The view from their back patio is very peaceful. Lisa even brought us warm apple pie topped with ice cream after we got settled in! We had the perfect stay.

  • my boyfriend and i could not have enjoyed renting this little gem in the woods, more...you get peaceful seclusin and at the same time, have all the amenities of glamping..woods trails , nature on full display, and some friendly doggies...we highly reccomend it and definately will return in the future...

    Janelle2019-09-08T00:00:00Z
  • Paul’s camper is very nice! Check in was super easy and they even added little touches like snacks, coffee and coals for the grill. They were super fast to respond if I needed something too! They supplied the wood which was very helpful so I didn’t have to find and then buy some. They aren’t joking when they say there’s no service out there, there really is no service to one bar maybe and this includes the surrounding state parks as well. You have to drive about 30 mins to maybe find service. It’s a super nice place to unplug so bring a book of board games for downtime. Overall my stay was super nice, the camper was clean and had AC which is nice on a hot night. They were also welcoming to my dog who came along and their dogs are friendly and will come up to say hi. They are pretty close to Turkey Run and Shades state parks and there are tons of covered bridges as well!

    Sydney2019-09-02T00:00:00Z
  • This was such an amazing get away for my boyfriend and I. It was so quite and peaceful and absolutely what we needed. Paul’s doggies were also so cute and friendly. We had everything we needed and didn’t even have to leave for anything! Fire wood was provided, the bullfrogs at night were soothing and just the property and wild life was great! We most definitely recommend Paul and his camper in the woods.

  • A beautiful inn on a quiet street in a very friendly little town. I was there in April; I understand it's pretty crowded at festival time in October, but I had the run of the place. Two blocks from the courthouse, library, shops and restaurants. Lots of friendly people. Be advised, the local etiquette is to greet everyone you meet, and to exchange waves with anyone who drives by you while you're walking.

  • The Red Brick Inn was a wonderful place to stay. Its location is close to the state parks we wanted to explore such as Turkey Run. And the hosts left thoughtful touches such as breakfast items, snacks, and coffee for us. We really enjoyed out stay.

  • Robert was immediately friendly and welcoming. It's an interesting very old house, which he has painstakingly and professionally modernized into a comfortable and clean place. They provided plenty of breakfast foods for us. We slept soundly in this very quiet neighborhood.

  • Right downtown , great location, clean and beautiful home

  • We had a great stay. The house was lovely and clean. After our long drive we enjoyed the comfy chairs in the tv room. The kitchen was stocked with anything you might need. Drank our coffee on the nice front porch in the morning.

  • Beautifully preserved Victorian home with modern amenities in a quiet, residential neighborhood. We visited the area for one night in an off-season time, and Bob was very accommodating to our family. This is very close to the excellent hiking trails of Turkey Run State Park, and in the heart of Parke County and its covered bridges.

  • This home is perfectly set up for families and is minutes away from Turkey Run State Park. There are lots of things to do just outside in the backyard and plenty of activities inside on rainy days. The house is very clean, cosy, and a place where a whole family can relax and enjoy themselves. The hosts are extremely helpful, accommodating, and responsive. We thoroughly recommend this house.

    Magdalena2020-03-22T00:00:00Z
  • What an amazing placing!! The host was very responsive and the place was outstanding very clean and a touch of home made me feel right at home. With a little snow ground it makes it a great winter vacation spot.

  • VERY VERY NICE! Spacious and well furnished. We enjoyed the pool table and relaxing in this beautiful house. If you come, you will enjoy

    Kevin2019-12-01T00:00:00Z
  • Nice large comfortable areas for playing games, building puzzles. Open concept allows everyone to do their own thing and yet feel together. We celebrated Thanksgiving and had dinner at the Turkey Run State Park. We were very impressed with both the stylish feel and yet at the same time super comfortable. You feel a deep sense of cleanliness through and through. Wide doorways would allow for wheelchairs I am sure. The three different bedroom suites each had a complete bath. The contract with the hostess was friendly and efficient. What is there not to like? Family Friendly.

    Tina2019-11-29T00:00:00Z
  • We had the best weekend at Michael & Jane’s cabin! Everything was perfect for us to spend just bonding, cooking, & relaxing while we made some special crafts for my daughter’s upcoming wedding. Their home had the perfect cozy feel to it that we wanted. We didn’t want to leave and hope to return in the Spring!

    Shannon2019-11-24T00:00:00Z
  • The barn house near Turkey Run was such a great place to gather with family and friends. The open concept, and added activities at the home, lead to easily shared time with those in our party. It is also incredibly close to the state park and all of its outdoor recreation.

  • My wife Kristen and I first found Jean's listing when we were looking for places to stay near Turkey Run for our honeymoon. We first booked the Spring House, but switched to the Hilltop House when Jean let us know that the cabin wouldn't be ready in time. The day before, Jean messaged us to say that she had managed to prepare the Main Cabin and said we could upgrade to that cabin for no additional charge! What a fun surprise! And boy, what a romantic getaway it was! Jean was very thoughtful and left us a wedding card and a bottle of sparkling cider for us to enjoy when we arrived. She also laid a fire with us so all we had to do was grab a lighter and start the flame. She had brought in some extra wood for us, so we had enough fire for our second night to keep us warm. It was both a rustic and luxurious cabin all in one. The main large room with the fireplace and bed gave us a true cabin experience. We enjoyed eating breakfast and drinking coffee on the screened porch at the back of the cabin, soaking in the sunlight and the views of the river/forest out back. And oh goodness, the whirlpool tub was so relaxing after a long day of hiking. We're eager to find an excuse to come back! Jean was such a thoughtful host and made us feel right at home out in the woods.

  • Great place

  • Great place to stay if you want to stay in a house near Turkey Run State Park. We had originally looked at primitive cabins and campsites around the park, but everything was booked in the area. Jean's place is less than 5 minutes from canoe/kayak rental shops, as well as the Turkey Run State Park entrance. We had use of the entire first floor, including a well stocked kitchen. There were 6 of us that stayed, and the space had no issues accommodating all of us. There's also a fire pit outside, which we made great use of both nights of our two night stay. Jean had firewood we could use, but it was wet and difficult to start. She did provide plenty of fire-starting materials, so we were eventually able to get it going. There's a man across the street that sells firewood, and we were able to get more dry wood the next day. When we stayed, Jean had just installed a new toilet in the back room to better accommodate guests. Although this is great and definitely useful, please note it is only a second toilet and sink, and not a second shower. My friends and I would definitely stay here again!

    Trent2019-08-25T00:00:00Z
  • We had a wonderful time at Hilltop House. The space is cozy and has everything you need, including thoughtful touches like pancake mix and smores ingredients. My dog enjoyed the fenced yard and we loved being so close to Turkey Run. Jean was a wonderful host, highly recommend.

  • Jean is beyond accommodating. She is a wealth of knowledge and loves what she does. I believe she will do anything she can to make your experience at Turkey Run the best ever. The cabin itself has Character that is beyond words. If you look at it through eyes of the 1800's, the era from which it came, it has several stories to share. Jean allows/welcomes dogs and that is Hugh to us as we travel with our Boxers. We will definitely be return guests!

    Peg2019-11-03T00:00:00Z
  • This is a great place to kick back and relax or go hiking on the beautiful property. The cabin itself has everything you need plus nostalgia. Jean is very knowledgeable about the surrounding area and suggesting things to do.

  • This 1828 cabin is rustic, yet very comfortable. We enjoyed our visit to Parke County and exploring all of the covered bridges. Our host was very helpful with restaurant recommendations and other information that helped us in our planning. And the weather was just cool enough to enjoy a fire in the fireplace each night!

    Susan2019-10-10T00:00:00Z
  • Jean is SO knowledgable about the area and the history and was a fantastic host. This was our first exploratory visit to the area, and we were interested in hiking and photography. After visiting the area and talking with Jean, we realize how much there is to do in the area: canoeing, bird watching, horse back riding, swimming, visiting covered bridges, and more. This was a great mostly unplugged nature getaway!

    Leah2019-09-29T00:00:00Z
  • Fun house with great touches. Loved the local Creek, rafts, smorz and fire pit, tiki torches, bubbles, games, and so much more. More space that it looked like online. Great screened porch space, updated main bathroom is fabulous. It was great to get the kids away from screens (no cell or wifi) and have a great weekend together!! Easy to work with host that made room for our guests that were traveling across the US to stay with us. So many tips on activities and so much hospitality.

    Klixi2019-08-04T00:00:00Z
  • We loved Jean's place. Her place is quirky and fun, and very well stocked. We loved relaxing on the patio, feeding the horses, and paddling on the creek. Both Jean and Maria were very attentive. We would recommend this place.

    Matt2019-07-31T00:00:00Z
  • Jean’s guesthouse has such character and the history to go along with it. It was the perfect place to return to after visiting Turkey Run State Park or the many other activities available in Parke County. It also provided enough to do if staying onsite. Jean was very welcoming, responded quickly to any questions, and went above and beyond our expectations to ensure a memorable trip.

    Tracy2019-07-24T00:00:00Z
  • Great location, really peaceful. Very short drive to turkey run and kayaking/tubing site. I didn’t have service here, which is fine with me, but if you want to stay here you might want to plan for that. However, there is WiFi at the top of the hill you can use. And you can make calls on the house phone if you need to. Everything you will need is here, and Jean is very helpful and hospitable!

A 1350 sq ft remodeled cabin with vaulted ceiling on 15 acres with trails off the driveway into Shades State Park which has the oldest trees in Indiana. (Huge tress!). This property is also located next to the the covered bridge capital of the world which has 32 covered bridges in 1 county and 10 minutes to Turkey Run State park.
This property is a photographers dream. The large acreage and proximity to the parks make it an extremely peaceful place as well. The large screened in porch is also a plus during the summer months and it makes for a perfect gathering space in the evenings. There is a 16x16 screened porch, a very large full size kitchen, stone wall wood burning stove, a walk in master shower in a private suite, a bunk room for the kiddos, and pull out sofa bed. Please see our Guidebook on Airbnb or a detailed list of attractions around this property. https://www.airbnb.com/s/guidebooks?refinement_paths[]=/guidebooks/1705426&share_channel=copy

  • The property is beautiful. So quiet and peaceful. It was only a 15 minute drive to the town. The queen bedroom/bath is a little chilly in the winter compared to the rest of the house. One of the full beds is comfy, the other is hard. The wood burning fireplace was awesome! Being "city folks", some directions for the stove would be helpful. Overall, we loved it and would love to visit in the summer or fall!

  • This cabin is the real deal. The location is quaint and remote, so feels like a special getaway from the bustle of life. The fireplace is amazing, along with the hot tub. The hosts are fantastic and incredibly welcoming. Would highly recommend to anyone who is looking for a cozy and convenient place to spend some time in nature.

  • This cabin is truly outstanding ! Most of the times AirBnBs look better on the pictures than in real life, but in this case it is the opposite. The cabin was wonderful, and we really enjoyed staying at a quite and peaceful place. Thanks for your hospitality Melissa !

    Christoph2020-01-19T00:00:00Z
  • This place was great! Lis was quick and easy to communicate with. The cabin was so cute, clean, and cozy. It was fun to sit in the hot tub and watch the flooded river rush by. They have everything we needed. A perfect place for our weekend girls trip!

  • If you're looking for privacy, a hot tub, and a beautiful view overlooking Sugar Creek, this is the place for you. Melissa is also a wonderful host, and she and Jason helped to make every aspect of our weekend visit absolutely delightful. Great access to hiking at Turkey Run and Shades.

  • We’ve been wanting to rent a cabin and invite a few friends to bring in the new year. This place was perfect! It’s secluded, there’s a hot tub outdoors, indoor fireplace...the list goes on. Most of all it’s a wonderful gathering place to retreat from the city which is exactly what we did for New Year’s Eve. The 6 of us spent it here welcoming the new year.

    Michelle2020-01-01T00:00:00Z
  • This lovely cabin is a picture perfect escape from everyday life. It’s minutes from some of the best hiking in Indiana and offers a scenic view of Sugar Creek. The Eagles Rise Cabin lived up to its name when we saw 7 or 8 eagles fly along the creek as the sun was setting. The interior of the cabin is carefully curated with charming antiques and comfortable modern furniture to lounge in and enjoy the company of friends or family. The Christmas trees and decorations made it even more perfect for our holiday retreat. The outdoor deck area is spacious and offers great potential for enjoying the scenery when weather permits. The hot tub was inviting in a dreary winter evening. We can’t say enough great things. Our hosts were thoughtful in every way. Highly recommend this getaway.

The Homestead was built in 1829 and I have been working to restore it to its original glory while adding all the modern conveniences. The main level common areas are still under construction but will be complete before the first guests arrive. Pictures will be updated once complete. Exterior areas will be a work in process for awhile yet, planned are a garden area on the main lot as well as a gazebo and recreational areas on the side lot.
  • My wife and myself enjoyed our stay at the Homestead. Tammy has a beautiful historical home in a community she cares deeply about. Her hospitality and knowledge of the area is first rate.

    Thomas2019-10-24T00:00:00Z
  • The Homestead is a lovely home originally built in the early 1800s. Tammy has restored the home and it is gorgeous The guest room and private bath is beautifully decorated with a comfortable bed. The shared living room for gathering to relax after a day spent out in the country has a big screen TV, fireplace, mini-fridge with snacks and a Keurig. There is also a lovely patio with grill and firepit. The breakfast provided was tasty and plentiful. Tammy made us feel right at home and is a great hostess! We would definitely recommend staying here.

    Karen2019-10-18T00:00:00Z
  • I stayed at Tammy’s wonderful B and B during my annual trip to Covered Bridge Festival with my mom. We booked a little last minute (2 weeks in advance- some places book up the year before!) and I was excited to have found something in the heart of covered bridge country for such a reasonable rate. Tammy’s historic 1829 Homestead turned out to be a highlight of our trip! First, it’s just beautiful. I think it’s the nicest Air B and B I’ve ever stayed in. I tend to prioritize value over experience with accommodations, but this place delivered on both. The place was sparkling clean and had many nice touches that complimented the historic nature of the property. The setup was very nice- the two guest rooms each have their own bathrooms in the room for privacy, and there’s also a nice common area for guests stocked with beverages, snacks, and comfy chairs/TV/games. Talking with Tammy about the restoration was a delight and she’s even made a photo book with photos from before and during the process. Tammy runs this place like a true B and B- there was a delicious breakfast in the morning, which thoughtfully accommodated my dietary restrictions. I hope we can stay in the future during Covered Bridge, but I also wouldn’t be surprised if The Homestead becomes the new booked-the-year-before hotspot- it certainly deserves to be.

  • If anyone wants a clean beautiful old home with a lot of character this is the place

    Jim2019-10-14T00:00:00Z
  • Excellent place to stop over for the night. Tammy cooks up a nice breakfast as well. The property has a lot of history.

  • This is a clean, bright, spacious house that will let you relax and enjoy the space. Tammy provides a wonderful breakfast (coffee is excellent) and knows the area if you want tips for exploring. She is a gracious hostess and will make you want to come back.

    Jacquie2019-10-06T00:00:00Z
  • Tammy's place is such an amazing restoration - it's beautiful, clean, and comfortable. Tammy is a great host and knows lots about the area - state parks, wine tasting tours, festivals and more. If I'm in this area again I would certainly want to stay with her.

    Martha2019-09-18T00:00:00Z
  • This was a business trip and Tammy is a gracious and wonderful host. As her guest, you will be treated with kindness and consideration. Her property is located in a quaint town away from the hustle-bustle of the city. I work a lot so the peacefulness worked well for me. A great spot to finish up the day. The building is historical and newly remodeled. The furniture is new and the bed was very comfortable to sleep in. This Airbnb should be your first choice if you are doing anything within 30 miles of it. The drive is beautiful through the countryside. If you enjoy covered bridges Tammy can guide you a few locations in the area. This Airbnb is definitely a hidden gem.

Everything in this house is brand new in 2017. Raccoon Lake is a reservoir managed by the Army Core of Engineers. As a result the water levels tend to fluctuate in the early and later parts of summer. The lake begins to drain around the covered bridge festival (Mid October) and our cove has no water in it after the lake is drained below summer pool. Nevertheless, this area is stunning in the fall and winter time. In the early season, the dock can be under water. We have mooring posts for the boat on shore (also available for rental) when this is the situation. During the summer season, we do minimum 4 day rentals. Contact me directly if you are interested, otherwise, choose from available dates on the airbnb calendar for a 2 night minimum stay! Pontoon Boat Rental Available for $165/day or $695/week. Pontoon is a 21 foot Crestliner. Satellite Wifi is available for $15/day
Raccoon Lake is 8 miles from Rockville, Indiana, home of the annual mushroom festival at the beginning of May, and the covered bridge festival in October. Raccoon Lake State Recreation Area, a 4000 acre park, ensures that a huge portion of the lake is un-built.

  • Our group, which consisted of 7 adults and 5 kids, loved the space over Labor Day Weekend. The house was clean and everything that was mentioned in the listing was easily accessible. Having the boat as an option would be a great amenity for a group looking to go out on the water for the day. The house is tucked back in a typical lake house neighborhood and is a quick drive to several covered bridges, state parks and The beloved Thirty Six Saloon (amazing BBQ and cold drinks!) Would certainly come back to Logan's home if/when we are next in the area!

This is a Remodeled Log Cabin Surrounded By 6000 Acres Of Old Growth Forest. It is nestled inside Shades State park and Pine Hills Nature Preserve with Turkey Run State Park only a 10 minute drive away. This property is also located next to the the covered bridge capital of the world!!, which has 32 covered bridges in 1 county and is a 10 minutes to Turkey Run State park.
This property truly is located against one of the most unique backdrops in Indiana. The location is amazing and has been called the darkest place in Indiana, which makes for wonderful stargazing opportunities. It's perfect for camp outs, retreats, weddings or romance. It has been called the most unusual place in Indiana due to the many cliff formations in Pine Hills Nature Preserve. The cabin itself is very cozy and accommodating and filled with locally sourced furniture. The owner has built the log furniture and the stair rails with cedar logs from the property and all the other furniture has been made by local craftsmen from Rockville, IN. The 24x24 patio is literally 5 feet from The Pine Hills Preserve and deer frequent the property daily. The cabin also has a very comfy loft that looks out through the the vaulted ceiling windows and provides a wonderful place kids games or reading or just watching the sun go down. The cabin can sleep 8 comfortably, has wrap around decks with a 24 x 24 patio for large groups and cookouts. It is located 15 minutes from Rockville, Indiana the covered bridge capitol of the country boasting 33 covered bridges! It's 2.5 hours from Chicago and 50 minutes west of Indianapolis.
This space is unique because of it's proximity to all the State Parks. Turkey Run, Shades State park, Pine Hills Nature preserve and Raccoon SRA.
  • This place was amazing and I would definitely come back. It’s so cute and has everything you need. The location is perfect. It was exactly what we needed for a small getaway!

  • A fabulous place for a get-away trip! The house is a perfect blend of rustic log cabin with updated amenities. Would definitely return for another visit. The location feels remote – surrounded by trees, adjacent to the park and nature preserve with many interesting trails to explore right out the door. Yet it’s close enough to Rockville, covered bridges and other activities too. Gabe was great about answering all of our questions before we arrived, and all went smoothly while we were there. The only surprise was extremely limited cell coverage, even with 3 different carriers to choose among in our group. So it’s a place that is particularly great to indulge in disconnecting from phones and internet, and immersing yourself in the stunning nature surrounding the cabin. We thoroughly enjoyed it.

  • Beautiful cabin on a lovely lake. It has the perfect combination of wilderness retreat and privacy without being too far from civilization to enjoy life's conveniences such as grocery runs, cell service, etc.

  • Clean, Super cozy space space with family in mind. Have tons of cooking equipment, extra towels and covers galore. They’ve added little notes with instructions around the house which was helpful

  • This was our 5th trip to this cabin. Never a disappointment. Will be going back for many more trips! Great host!

  • This is an absolutely fabulous home and comfortable place to stay! It is secluded and gives you the feel of a true getaway from busy life. The kitchen is well stocked with every supply you need to prepare meals and enjoy your own cooking. There is plenty of bedding and towels also! The view from the back deck is amazing and if you are up to a little exercise, enjoy a walk down the stairs to the lake view.. There is a very nice outdoor fireplace which we enjoyed so much. Close by is Turkey Run State Park and Sugar Creek kayaking and tubing. We enjoy the outdoors and between the cabin feel of the home and the activities we enjoyed, we had the best mini vacation ever! I can't say enough about how wonderful the whole experience was for us. We plan to come back in the future :) Thank You Logan!!!

  • Cabin is spacious and comfortable with a view of the lake that could not be more perfect. Not high end but not a high end price. Great value!

  • The home was clean and the beds were comfortable with lots of amenities to host large family celebrations. The home is located in a quiet woodsy area, right on the water with very few neighbors. Throughout our stay we were entertained by various wildlife including a raccoon, fox, squirrels and birds. We had a great family vacation and can't wait to plan our return.

  • Wonderful lake house for relaxing and being together with friends. Good space in the home with nice outdoor spaces too. Being in the midst of a heat wave, we did NOT use the fire pit area, but it looks like a great place to spend an evening. Used the rental for a childhood girls get together in conjunction with a class reunion. It was perfect. The lake house is equipped with great kitchen supplies and the bedrooms and baths have an over supply of sheets and towels. The lake views are wonderful and peaceful. Will consider this space to rent again in the future!!!
