Inviting and well-kept room in a 2 storey townhouse located in a quiet family neighbourhood, near the best ice cream store. My cat, Coco, keeps to himself and seldom appears but is friendly when he looks for attention.
My home reflects everything I love: my family, my cat, food and gardening. You will enjoy the homeliness and indoor garden.
Quiet family neighbourhood. Close to Brum’s Ice Cream (which is good or bad depending on your diet)
  • Nita is a delightful & friendly host that enjoys chatting with her guests if they're open to it. She is a very warm and generous host and person. She made me eggs and bacon for breakfast and my favourite tea every morning and evening. She is also respectful of people's need for quiet time. She is eager to please her guests. Nita is well-known and liked in Pembroke as she runs her own business. The bed was super comfortable and great water pressure. I would definitely stay here again!

  • This was my third week in a row staying at Stacey's. What can I say, but that everything was to the highest standard. From the amenities, to the sleeping arrangements, to the layout of the apartment, the quick responses from her. Living there was an absolute pleasure. It made coming home, from a long day of work, enjoyable. Stacey would be my first choice anytime I would be in the Petawawa region 👍

    Daniel Clermont Marcel2020-04-16T00:00:00Z
  • Stacey’s place is great! It is easy and convenient. The lock box makes everything easy and quick for check-in. The neighbourhood is close to restaurants and a park. Clean cozy bedroom in a big old farm house. 15 minutes to Wilderness Tours. 15 minutes to Pembroke. 30 minutes to Petawawa. 1 hour and 15 minutes to Canadian Tire Centre in Ottawa.
I have a very affectionate 3 legged rescue cat named Willie and a small but mighty kitten named Mona. The door to your room is always closed and the bedding will always be freshly washed, but for anyone with extreme allergies, I thought I should mention this. If you're not allergic, feel free to enjoy some snuggles from Willie (he loves attention) and some play time with Mona.

  • We really enjoyed our stay at the cottage. This was easily one of the best places we’ve found close to Algonquin on AirBnB. We found the accommodation super clean and the property uniquely located. We also enjoyed walking with our dogs around the property and also enjoyed canoeing in the pond. Both my wife and I felt super refreshed after the visit after we returned back home. Highly recommended!

    Aamer2020-05-04T00:00:00Z

Country comfort in your own private area in the heart of the Ottawa Valley. A wonderful nature filled experience on the Bonnechere River, with private beach, night time campfire and luxury indoor comfort. Your glamper is solar & propane powered, very eco friendly! Lots of extras!
Paddle the Bonnechere river in a canoe, or kayaks or a paddle boat for a small rental fee. We raise ducks for eggs, they wonder the property, so if you're bringing a pet please keep on a leash. Maybe you'll be adventurous and try duck eggs for breakfast!
We're a short drive from Eganville & Barry's Bay both offering great little shops, cafes, and good dining. Also a couple of restaurants within 10 minutes
  • Cute place! Great view of the lake !

    Erika2019-10-20T00:00:00Z
  • Beautiful sunsets and sunrises, really enjoyed my stay here. Marilyn was so welcoming and the place was perfect for an escape into the wilderness without having to pitch a tent!

    Alexandra2019-10-19T00:00:00Z
  • Nicely and thoughtfully refurbished camper, I had a very good glamping end to camping season!

    Thomas2019-10-18T00:00:00Z
  • The location is fantastic - I spent the evening sitting on the little dock under the moon, watching her reflection ripple across the river. It was unseasonably cold while I was there and a bit difficult to heat the space but Marilyn was diligent in attempting to find solutions to keep me warm and cozy. The space is a bit low (I am quite tall) so something to consider if you are like me, on the larger, taller side of the human spectrum, but otherwise a lovely place to stay. (And they have geese and ducks with amazing personalities!)

    Shay2019-10-07T00:00:00Z
  • Marilyn’s camper is a little gem nestled long the River. Don’t miss this unique experience.

    Bob2019-09-29T00:00:00Z
  • Really lovely experience on the Bonnechere River. We were super cozy and really enjoyed walking in the woods and sitting by the water. Super comfortable bed, wonderful deck, and pretty much everything you'd need for a weekend getaway. While there is solar power, the AC outlets don't work, so you're best off not relying on electronics without batteries and packing a portable battery charger (Marilyn lent us one of hers!). Thoughtful touches, super clean, and ready for a weekend of book-binging and hanging on the water.

    Caitlin2019-09-22T00:00:00Z
  • Superb stay in a beautiful setting.

    Romain2019-09-18T00:00:00Z
  • Marilyn's space is a fantastic spot to unwind and disconnect from the world for a couple of days. Marilyn and Mike met us when we arrived to show us around. They made sure that we had everything we might have needed and that we knew how everything worked. The bed was very comfortable, and the indoor space was a great size for two people and a dog! The outdoor space is nice and private, and you have direct access to a barbecue, a fire pit, the riverfront, as well as a canoe and kayaks. We took the kayaks out onto the water and had a great time. Overall, I would highly recommend staying with Marilyn and Mike, and I will definitely keep their place in mind for future trips!

  • This cabin is the perfect getaway from the hustle and bustle of daily life! Zac and Steph were amazing hosts - they always responded within 5 minutes of us sending them a message, and they went out of their way to make sure we were well taken care of (even bringing us extra dog food when we decided to extend our stay one more night). The cabin is super cozy and exceptionally clean! We had such a great time hiking, star gazing and roasting marshmallows over the fire. We can’t wait to come back in the fall!

  • We stayed at the Algonquin Wolf Cabin and it was so spacious and perfect for us and our dog! Breathtaking views, I literally spent hours staring over Canoe Lake, throwing snow balls and day dreaming. So happy to have found a place like this and I look forward to seeing how the spot looks at different times of year! Can’t wait to be back !

  • We had an absolute blast staying at The Algonquin Wolf Cabin at Zac and Steph's. Fantastic amenities, we didn't see a soul other than Zac and Steph (which is what we wanted). We had fun having camp fires, exploring the woods and playing in the snow (which our pup absolutely loved as well) . Thanks again for such a great experience!

    Cassia2020-01-29T00:00:00Z
  • This place is great. Up high on the escarpment with a fantastic view of Golden Lake. Zac & Steph met us at our vehicle and gave us a tracker ride up to the cabin and made sure we were settled in (they even brushed off our car before we got back to it!). The trails are awesome and there is a lot to see if your a person who likes a challenge. We will definitely be back!

    Dayn2020-01-16T00:00:00Z
  • Zac n Steph have an absolute jewel of a property in the Golden Lake area. My girlfriend and I spent two nights at the Algonquin Cabin with an amazing view of Golden Lake. Upon arrival Zac n Steph were ready to rock and roll with the shuttle up to our cabin they were super friendly and informative about their property. They have around 450 acres to explore with more then enough trails for anyone to hike/snowshoe all day. Communication with Zac n Steph was great! The cabin was warm and cozy in the wintertime! We will definitely be back!!

A big tent with a bed and a wood stove. This yurt has kept people cozy year-round for a decade. Daytrip to Algonquin Park, visit the Opeongo Hills Nordic Ski Club, check out local artisans or the historic Wilno Tavern. Fall asleep to the sound of the wind, wake to the sound of birds. It's self-check-in but text if you need anything. No running water so best for people with some camping know-how.
We've lost track of how many travelers have experienced and loved this yurt. Staying here is a very relaxing experience, ideal for those wanting simple but comfortable accommodations. It's like camping but in a big, round, warm tent with a comfy bed! All communication must be through text during your stay and not through the airbnb app, email or phone call. Communication in advance of your stay, and that is not time sensitive, can happen through the airbnb website or app. Thanks for your cooperation.
There are quiet dirt roads where you can meander past lakes and meadows, just 1km away. Or, Wadsworth Beach is only 2km away. It's a very pretty and relaxing spot. Great for families or outdoor enthusiasts. There is another dwelling on the property where other guests may be staying.
  • Natalie made the stay at the yurt the easiest part of the trip. Was a super host. Private location and as expected.

    Mark2020-02-10T00:00:00Z
  • Natalie's place is the only AirB&B I've stayed at more than once! We love it! We are definitely hoping to return again next year. Highly recommend this yurt for a unique stay about 35 minutes away from Algonquin Park!

    Kelly2019-10-20T00:00:00Z
  • Tis was a beautiful, isolated, romantic weeekend away. We chose a great time to go (mid October) as the trees were changing and the weather was getting cooler which made the Yurt that much cosier. Everything was exactaly as described on the site. Everything about our stay was an absolute treat. Beautiful paths and scenery as we explored the recommended nearby trails. Everything we could’ve needed was thought of and made accessible to us. Natalie was extremely welcoming, accommodating, and communicative. Highly reccomend!

    Bailey2019-10-19T00:00:00Z
  • Natalie provided me with a fantastic stay and a warm fire on my way out to Algonquin. The yurt is cosy and offers everything you need for ab overnight stay in the woods

    Andy2019-10-18T00:00:00Z
  • This place is perfect if you want a cosy experience away from the city. We used the yurt as our base and went hiking in Algonquin park every day of our stay. Especially loved the wood stove that heats the yurt and the yurt opens to a big backyard with trees!

  • Val’s cottage at Golden Lake looks tiny from the outside, but the thoughtful layout, fantastic view and unbeatable price make it a great deal. We enjoyed fishing, campfires, stunning sunsets and incredible dark sky conditions for star gazing. She really went above and beyond to make sure that there were activities and s’mores for the kids, and the campfire wood was dry and prepared for us upon arrival. In the middle of a strong wind storm the cottage stayed cozy and warm. The upstairs ‘kids zone’ was a hit with the cousins. Would love to come back when we are back in the neighborhood.

  • The location of the house is just awesome, with the view on the lake, the sunset is just WHOA!!! The house is comfortable, with all the equipments we need, and the bed is really excellent. The communication also with the host was fast and efficient And the final touch, a small bottle of maple sirup to welcome. It’s was perfect thanks for that

  • This is a great place to stay. The cottage is very cozy, decorated nicely, well maintained, clean and inviting. Great view of golden lake right out the back door. We stayed in January got a bit of snow overnight and it was promptly cleaned up the next morning. Val is quick to communicate and has gone the extra mile thinking of common things you may have forgotten to bring on your trip and has a coffee selection and some chocolates kicking around too. Comfortable like home I would recommend this stay.

    Steve2020-01-19T00:00:00Z
  • This cottage has been well maintained and pride in ownership shows. I love the character. Walking out to the back deck you will see nothing but water , breath taking to see all of God beauty at the door step! Cozy, quaint and so many personal touches! Yummy coffee choices, chocolates and all the fixings for your coffee and tea to!

  • Beautiful place, nice people. Very clean and cosy house. Feels like at home. Best recommendation!!! Thank you so much.

    Sergii2020-01-03T00:00:00Z
  • What a great place! It was bigger than I expected-lots of room! We had three couples, a baby and my son spent one night there too and we never felt cramped for space. The beds are super comfy (I have a bad back and I slept great). It’s an older cottage so the kitchen cupboards, wood floors, and doors are a bit rustic and not necessarily on square, but it’s spic and span with lots of nice unexpected touches. There was coffee, cream & sugar and Lindor and Quality street chocolates! Even a whole Toblerone, if it struck your fancy. Yum! There was tasteful Christmas decor touches too, in keeping with the season. The shower pressure was awesome-better than at home. Lots of room to park too. The Bell tv and wifi worked great for the kids, though I just used my own data. I imagine in the summer it’s amazing being right on the beach. We didn’t really cook or eat there, but the kitchen looked well stocked with pans, cups, utensils etc. For us, we just needed a place to sleep while enjoying family Christmas celebrations nearby so it was perfect and extremely affordable! Val responded quickly each time when I had questions too. I’m trying to think of any negatives, but I really can’t think of any. It was a bit warm at night, but we just turned down the heat to what we wanted. It’s a bit of a drive to bigger centres, but we knew that when we booked. Either way we loved it! A straight A place, in my opinion! Now I want to stay there in the summer too:)

  • We were welcomed by Johnny and his dog when we arrived in the later evening and were flashed by the size of the newly and lovely renovated apartment. It is located in the basement with separate entry and has a own kitchen, living/dining room and bathroom. The town is only 10min down the road with many stores and a great tourist information centre. We visited Algonquin Park from here and it is about a 45min drive to get there. We can only recommend this lodging and would definitely book again.

  • I had a great weekend away at Christine’s Cabin! It was a winter wonderland! The Cabin was in a great location, there were lots of fun activities, and a cozy fireplace for the end of the day. I would definitely go back and recommend this stay (:

    Meganne2020-03-01T00:00:00Z
  • I've stayed at Christine's cottage twice now. Very pretty little place in a quiet recess, with a good amount of green space around it. It's comfortably furnished, and has a fun collection of movies if one is inclined to turn the on the TV. I love the location the most. It is in one of the more hilly parts of Ontario, and there are a lot of beautiful hikes close by, offering winding, rising and falling paths, and great views. Would love to visit again.

    Ali2019-11-03T00:00:00Z
  • Christine's cabin is a little gem in the middle of nowhere. We were able to disconnect from city life, enjoy the fire and the coziness of the cabin. The cabin holds most of the necessary amenities and utensils needed to feel at home. Thanks for everything

    Julien2019-05-18T00:00:00Z
  • A very pretty cottage, decorated in a very warm, cozy way. There are some nice books and an excellent selection of movies for hanging indoors. The indoor fire stove keeps the living room very warm if required. There was a ton of snow outside, enough to make a sizeable snow-fort. And the barbeque was still working in the cold. The tree house on the property is very pretty and would be an excellent spot for some beers in the summer. The location is absolutely spectacular. Very private, lots of room on all sides so our dogs could roam quite freely without getting on anyone else's property. And there are beautiful hikes all around - we didn't even have the temptation to head into Algonquin Provincial Park, which was the initial idea for us. Would love to visit again, winter or summer!

    Ali2019-02-18T00:00:00Z

Do not bring a lot of stuff with you though because there is no where to hang it, or even store it, but otherwise, the cabin is spectacularly pretty and comfortable to lounge in, with a lovely view. Lots of hot water, efficient kitchen, soft towels, comfy beds, quiet sleeps. Thank You.

Welcome to a private newer apartment attached to the 1911 Old Creamery House in beautiful downtown Eganville. Our home faces highway 60 but the apartment looks out over the Bonnechere river with a good sized lawn. Although close to highway 60 (Bonnechere street) the apartment is a quiet well insulated space with minimal noise from upstairs.
Please be aware that there are 5 steps down to access the apartment. The small kitchen has a small fridge with freezer, microwave, toaster, kettle, hot plate and coffee maker so you can make light meals or snacks. We provide coffee, tea, a small amount of milk and cereals for a light breakfast. For hardier fare we suggest you take advantage of the local restaurants all within a short walking distance. The bed will be made up with sheets and blankets and we'll make up the pull out couch if there are more than 2 people booked. Extra pillows are on the queen bed and extra blankets in the closets. Towels and basic washroom supplies are provided. Parking is free in our shared driveway so you have one side, whichever is vacant when you arrive, additional street parking is available as well. If you are travelling on motorcycle or bicycle let us know ahead of time and we may be able to provide space in the garage to store it out of the weather. There is no smoking or vaping in the building and we ask that when you are smoking outside you move away from the buildings windows and doors and use the designated container for cigarette butts. Pets who are well behaved and friendly are welcome. Please be responsible and clean up after them.
Within a short walk you can access restaurants, banking, grocery store and more. Enjoy coffee at one of the three coffee shops and daily fresh baking from the grocery store. Step into the past at the Bonnechere Museum, McRae Lookout Park or tour the Geoheritage Trail looking for fossils. This is a dog friendly village where you can enjoy a large park (dogs allowed) by crossing the walking bridge over the Bonnechere river, and seasonally there are outdoor concerts (Wednesday and Fridays) in the park and outdoor skating. In the village there is a boat launch and public beach where you can rent kayaks. We are a 10 minute drive to the Bonnechere Caves, Shaw Woods Outdoor Education Centre, public beaches and golfing.
  • Andrew and Deena have a lovely place and are great hosts. Very clean, neat, and inviting apartment by the river that makes it even more special.

  • What a great cozy place, very helpful, and the view was beautiful I am sure it must be breathtaking in the summer

    Mike2020-03-05T00:00:00Z
  • Andrew and Deena's place was so clean with thoughtful touches to make your stay extra comfortable. The space has everything you need and is a great location in Eganville with a beautiful view of the river. They were very quick to respond and I would highly recommend staying at this Airbnb!

  • Beautiful place that had everything we needed. Pizza place down the street, tv and wifi, cute kitchenette and a table. Nice river out back, we would for sure come back and stay. Super nice hospitality!

    Arun2019-10-14T00:00:00Z
  • Andrew and Deena were beyond accommodating; if there are trainings on being a host they should be leading it. Place was even more beautiful in person and very comfortable - even pullout bed was pleasantly very comfortable. I truly wish we could have spent more than a night. Ample parking, nice welcoming touches and great communication.

  • Its a beautifull and breath taking place to sleep, eat and waking up! Also you can use the canoe for a amazing trip. Enjoy it!

    Ruben2019-08-09T00:00:00Z
  • We stayed one night, it was really relaxing. I woke up early in the morning and just sat by myself on the dock watching the sun rise. It was very peaceful. We rented the canoe and went across to the island, that was really nice.

    Eni2019-07-07T00:00:00Z
  • Our stay at Gaisheda's cabin was a lovely one! The property itself was easy to find and was situated right in front of a lake. Some memorable moments: check-in with Pat was great - she was very friendly and offered tips and directions of the area, the cabin was very clean, and late at night you can see the Milky Way.

    Justine2018-09-03T00:00:00Z
  • We had a great stay at Gaisheda's. They were VERY accommodating with our check in time. The cabins themselves were very clean and private. There are no curtains but there is no one around. I would recommend renting both cabins as the shared kitchen would be quite tight between two parties. It is right on the water, which is nice and it is a very quiet lake. Overall we had a great time. Very clean.

    Sarah2018-08-26T00:00:00Z
  • It was really nice at this lake cabin. Not much there, but everything we needed. We should have stayed there longer

    Robin2018-07-26T00:00:00Z
  • Back for the 3rd year and as always we had an amazing weekend. Pat is very nice and hospitable. The place was peaceful and quiet. We had no electricity and fair mobile signal which made it a perfect place for us to unplug and unwind. Why we keep coming back? During the day, we kayak and enjoy the beauty of nature in Gorman Lake. At night, we love to just sit on the dock, gaze at the stars, and listen to loon calls and fish jumping. The 4 hour distance from Toronto was not bad at all as we got to visit the Kawartha Dairy, Eagles Nest Lookout, Burleigh Falls, Petroglyphs Park and Warsaw Caves. Thanks Gaisheda and Pat for sharing such a wonderful place. See you next year!

    Soleil2018-07-23T00:00:00Z
  • A lovely stay in a little cabin by the lake. Close enough to town to grab things you need and far enough away to enjoy the cottagey atmosphere. Gaisheda and Pat were so quick to respond and kind to speak with.

Please message before booking. Short term rental is restricted in Ontario right now, but we will try our best to help out. Modern, open concept, tasteful home. Across the road to a beautiful beach. Entirely renovated from top to bottom. Wonderful place to hang out after a day on the beach/water. Nice view of water and Laurentian Mountains. Enjoy the gas fireplace or have a fire outside on the beach. Satellite internet access is decent, you can stream Netflix on one device!
We are happy to provide tandem kayak or canoe and a row boat, or just ask for anything else you need and we will try our best.
Beautiful beach on Ottawa River, perfect for long walks (the entire shoreline is public property) and swimming to the raft. Shopping and all amenities five minute away.
  • Amazing place to stay if you are looking to get away for a weekend. Lorne is an amazing host, and his place is very stylish and cozy. The location is close to stores, restaurants, and the beach. There is also a full equipped kitchen which was perfect for us as we were planning on staying inside for the most part. I cannot say enough good things about this place, we will for sure visit again and if you are looking for a place to book in the area look no further!

    Maryam2020-04-12T00:00:00Z
