Thanks for having us to stay Angela. Angela is a lovely host and her home is lovely. She made us feel welcome and gave us a good brief when we got there so we could come and go independently and get breakfast etc fuss-free! The room is as per the photos. Both the room and bathroom were clean, tidy and stocked with things you would require (tea/coffee, local guides, toiletries, linen, etc). We had a car and it was c. 10 min drive to central Canterbury. We had a lovely stay and would recommend Angela's place.

Our stay was our first Air B&B booking so did not know what to expect. Need not have worried it was quite simply exemplary. Angela made us both very welcome in her lovely home. Room was wonderfully clean and just perfect. Tea, coffee and breakfast were just right. Lots of cereals, juice, yoghurt and toast. As our daughter is at university in Canterbury will most definitely stay again. Thank you so very much.

Our stay at Angela's was great : the accomodation is clean, peaceful and even nicer than expected. The area is quiet and is close enough to the city centre without being in its agitation. We enjoyed meeting such a kind person, she really cares about her guests and is curious and attentive to any need. We wish we had stayed longer to know her more and enjoy such a good place.

Nice welcome by Angela in a quiet area of the town, but still in walking distance to the center. Wifi, bathroom, breakfast: all nice as the chat during the breakfast.

We were made to feel very welcome. The room had everything we needed and Angela provided really helpful information about local facilities. The neighbourhood is absolutely fine. Walking into Canterbury was very straightforward & well lit on our walk back.

Angela made us both very welcome in her lovely home. Our room was very clean and included tea and coffee making facilities /bottle of water etc - an unexpected bonus. Angela was very friendly and accommodating (we are not early risers) and made us a lovely breakfast when we did eventually surface. I liked the flexibility afforded to us (better than a hotel) and felt very much at home during our stay. In short we wanted for nothing and would certainly hope to stay again next year, if not before! Thank You.

Perfect place to spend a couple of nights if you,re travelling on your own. It,s close to Canterbury East estation. The room it is a little bit noisy due to the traffic but it,s clean,with tv, and there is a small fridge!

Friendly service, nice clean house about 5-10 minute walk from the Canterbury City Centre. On a main road so can be a bit noisy but not too much of a problem. Was provided with bath towel, shampoo. There was a good TV (which I didn't use) and good internet connection. Fantastic value for money. Would happily stay again.

Pretty much what it says on the tin. No frills but clean enough private room and for the price there was no complaints on that. I intended to check in during the afternoon as check in was from 2pm but on the day was informed I could not check in till 5pm. This would have been fine if I had been informed a day earlier and would have rearranged plans. Overall simple and good value accommodation

Walking distance to Canterbury centre. Traffic can be a bit noisy during the night as it's on a main road. Good clean place to stay and host is very friendly.

Good value for money and welcoming hosts

This is an excellent( not you average b&b room) place to stay if you are visiting Canterbury: very comfortable, stylish, spacious accommodation; additional facilities for having a spot of supper in the comfort of your own space; and a charming balcony that benefits from the late afternoon sun. Alan and Amanda are also charming hosts - what more could you ask for!

Really nice room! Isolated too from the main house so it feels like a home.

It's not just about the place but rather it's the people that makes the place wonderful. Alan and Amanda was absolutely lovely. The annex itself was more that I had expected, it was a large space and immaculate, the photos don't do it justice. The private entrance was great as we went out for dinner and came back as and when we wished without disturbing. I would definatley recommend it anyone who is looking for an affordable and friendly place to stay. I will be staying again in the future.

We stayed over there weekend at Alan's annex. Alan was super friendly and very flexible with the check-in and check-out dates. The annex is very new, clean and exactly as described on the photos. The sleeping room is very spacious and although it is in waking distance to the town center, it is very quite. We would definitely stay here again and would highly recommend it for a nice stay in Canterbury.

We had a wonderful three day stay in Canterbury, made all the more so because of Alan's well appointed flat. Minutes away from the old town, the Cathedral, and a wide variety of restaurants, we were always happy to know that we were returning to a quiet and comfortable environment at day's end. Throughout the process, our hosts were prompt in communications and extremely helpful with their suggestions. We recommend highly!!

This is a beautifully appointed room with a fine en suite bathroom. Alan my host was delightful and couldn't have been more helpful. The house is close to the centre of Canterbury and would make a fantastic base to explore this historic city.. I highly recommend that you stay at Alan's if you want a break in a very nice and bright room - the bed was very comfortbale!

We really enjoyed our stay with Truda and her family. They were incredibly welcoming but we also felt able to come and go as we pleased, and to use the room like our own. They had various tips for places to go and things to see, and it was a great location both in terms of visiting Canterbury itself (only a 15min walk into the centre) and as a setting off point for other parts of Kent. The room was large and comfortable, and the breakfast that Truda provided was excellent and very welcome with a lot of choice! We would highly recommend it to anyone looking for a good base for the area!

Peter was a brilliant host, welcomed my mum and I and made sure we had everything we needed. The room is very spacious with a huge bed which was extremely comfortable! The house is well located and an easy walk into town. Would definitely recommend!

We had a lovely time staying with Truda and her husband. They were very accommodating to us, our train was horrendously delayed and they let us have a much needed lie-in the following day. We were really impressed by the high standard of accommodation and the welcome we received. Breakfast was great and we had a very relaxing stay.

Truda and her husband Peter were totally amazing! They were welcoming and warm but also left us to our own devices. The room is GORGEOUS, it's so clean and the bed is so comfy. There is an en suite bathroom with a lovely shower. Truda has done an amazing job decorating and it really feels more like a luxury B&B rather that someone's home. I couldn't recommend their place more and we can't wait to return.

Truda and Peter offered a very warm welcome at the end of our Pilgrim's Way trip from Winchester to Canterbury - the room was immaculate, the bed huge and very comfortable, en-suite great, decor and colours very nice throughout, good breakfast choice ... just the treat that we'd hoped for to truly relax at the end of the journey.

The place is even better than the description. We felt very welcome. Breakfast was tailored to our taste and really marvellous. We enjoyed roaming the countryside and found delicious food at the local pubs. It's a true secret getaway.

Well, this was a dream stay. Tiny little retreat in the middle of some lovely Kent countryside. The stay had everything you need, ideal kitchen, cosy bed and a lovely outside bistro area. Kate was a great host. She left us some bits from her garden and some puddings that we tucked into. Such a lovely stay and we will be back again soon. Thanks again Kate for such a comfortable retreat.

Staying at the Granary was lovely. Kate was a fantastic host , very welcoming and really made us feel comfortable. It was an ideal getaway for us as it was quiet, we could sit outside in peace and there were public paths for great walks. It was also an ideal spot to use as a base for exploring Canterbury. All in all we had a fantastic time!

I've stayed 3 nights at Edina's house and it's been great! Carlos was very kind since the first moment, I'm sorry I couldn't speak more with him but I had a lot of work to do. The bedroom is quite big, it even has its own tv and microwave! When I reached the house, Carlos had leaved water, coffee and tea in the room just in case I wanted some! The bathroom inside the room is perfect and everything is pretty clean and working fine. Carlos answered very fast to any query I had and offered himself to help me with anything I could need. If you have to go to the east part of Canterbury or the city center, is a good option, I recommend it!

A real find. This was a lovely air bnb. It felt more like a little studio flat, with en suite bathroom, tea and coffee making facilities, microwave, TV, desk and plenty of room to store clothes in large wardrobe and draws. Although connected to the family home, it felt very private. Edina and family were lovely and welcoming. I very much recommend.

Great little flat only a short walk from the town centre. Perfect for a couple coming to visit the city! Flat was tidy and well stocked with the essentials in the fridge. David (James' dad) was very communicative during the whole process and sent very detailed instructions on how to get there and what to do on arrival. Would happily stay in again if ever in the city!

Flat has lots of character and was clean, bright and just how it appears in the pictures. Good location, about 20 mins walk into the centre of town. Lots of nice little touches, kitchen was well stocked with everything you would need. I counted about 7 different types of tea, fresh coffee, cereal, croissants milk in the fridge. James' parents were looking after the place and were great hosts. We were sent very detailed directions so we found the place easily. Highly recommended!

Thanks for a lovely stay at your flat! Very fast communication and lovely clean flat with everything you could need for a short or longer stay in Canterbury. It is a little bit of our the centre of town, but Canterbury is such a small city that it doesn't take you long to get anywhere in the city and there is a beautiful walk into town with great architecture to be seen. Would definitely recommend and stay there again.

Everything about out stay was perfect. David made arrangements with us before we arrived so everything went smoothly on arrival! He answered all of our questions quickly and was very helpful. He also provided some items for breakfast which was very kind. The apartment was lovely and you can tell a lot of work has gone into making it nice! The location is easy to get to by car and a 15 min walk to the town centre. Ten out ten!

We had a lovely stay at James's place in Canterbury. Very cosy flat with thoughtful touches like croissants and orange juice! A short walk from town, would definitely recommend. Pinocchio's restaurant was great too!

This is the second time we have stayed at this place, I never stay in the same place twice but had to come back here. Its simply the perfect getaway. Such a great place.

James' flat was very cosy and tastefully decorated. We loved the cosy loft bed conversion, it was very comfortable and equipped with a heater which proved to be useful. The location of the flat is good - easy to find from the motorway, and a 20 minute or so walk into Canterbury city centre but in a quiet secluded neighbourhood. James' dad provided us with all the information we needed, and very kindly provided some breakfast items which were much appreciated. The flat was great for our short stay in Canterbury, thank you!

We spent 3 days in Ruchi's apartment for holiday, the place is perfect, close to the city center, spacious and confortable, with a kitchen ad a bathroom well supplied for all our needs, Ruchi was a fantastic host, avaible for all our requirements. Recommended!

The location is perfect a ten minute walk max from the city centre and very straight forward to get too, the apartment was modern and felt safe. Provides a good base when your exploring for the weekend as well as fantastic value for money. One main bedroom available and one floor mattress for another person.

Richard and Johanna's house is perfect place to travel to Canterbury as it is 5 mins from its city centre. A room is big enough for two people, but three is also possible as they offer additional sofa to sleep.

Our hosts were great and showed understanding when we were unexpectedly held up with traffic. The facilities were clean and location was ideal.

Wonderful place, a lot of privacy in a magnificent rural settings. Interesting people, especially Joke who knows (professionally) how to make people comfy. A bit disappointed that there was no breakfast.

This 500-year-old beautiful home is a little off the beaten track, but well worth the walk or a short cab ride. The rooms were very well kept and Richard and JoAnna were the perfect hosts. It is also a terrific value. I would recommend staying with them without reservation.

I had a superb stay with Debbie & Chris. They were friendly and welcoming, and at the same time discreet. The room was perfect and as described. The tea/coffee facilities were a nice touch, along with Sky TV and reliable broadband. The private bathroom was a real bonus. I'm returning to the area in November and intend staying there again.... If they'll have me!

I stayed just for one night as I was working locally, so it was a brief yet perfect stay. Lovely little room equipped with a comfy sofa bed, Sky TV, tea/coffee and wifi which was all I needed. Bathroom next door with good shower. Debbie and Chris are friendly and welcoming and I instantly felt comfortable in their home. I arrived late but they still showed me to my room and had even left out a little cake for me which was very sweet of them. Quiet, residential area so no disturbances in the night- I had a great sleep. All in all a wonderful stay, I would highly recommend! Thanks Debbie

Debbie's room is very good value! The room was clean, has everything you'll need in it and you've got your own Bathroom. By car it is very easy to drive into Canterbury, which is a lovely city. Chris and Debbie took good care of us and gave us many tips what to do in the area. There is also a huge folder with information about the area and recommended trips, which would have been very useful, if we'd stayed longer than one night.

My girlfriend and I made a round trip through England and stayed two nights at Debbie's and Chris' place. They have a lovely home in a nice and quite neighborhood. The room is clean and cozy and just as on the picture. Debbie and Chris are great hosts and are very kind and helpful. For example when my girlfriend and I wanted to go out for dinner Debbie made us the offer to drive us before we were even able to ask. We really enjoyed our stay with Debbie and Chris and would definitely come back!

I stayed with Jill because I needed a place to stay near the William Harvey hospital for a few days whilst on night shifts. Jill was a very lovely hostess! She welcomed me as if we had known each other for years and ensured my stay was very comfortable. I would definitely recommend staying with her if you need a place in the Wye/ Ashford area!

Jill's welcoming, helpful and interesting - and her home is a short walk both from Wye station and the centre of the village. The ground floor room I stayed in was quiet, comfortable. My stay was a reminder that the Airbnb experience is often so much better when it's provided by real people who enjoy company and providing hospitality, not the 'professional' hosts engaged in commercial letting.

Jill made my short stay very easy i only booked a day before, I arrived late which posed no problem for Jill. The accomadation was comfortable and en-suite a great addition to this great sized room, extremely quiet area, I had a great nights sleep. Jill even offered me a cereal breakfast. Would definitely recommend bargain accomadation.

I had a wonderful time staying here. Jill is an amazing host who was very welcoming. The room is very cozy and has its own bathroom. The home is located next to the park and just a short walk to the local market. I would highly recommend staying here.

If you are using the Tunnel, then Jill's place is an excellent stopover. It is also great if you want to explore the area or pop up to London for the day. Jill is an excellent host.

It was a lovely easy stay. Jill's home is so welcoming and homey. I came in late but she had the lights on and everything set out for me to make myself a cup of tea. Just like coming home. It was very easy to get from the train station to her house even late in the evening. We enjoyed a lovely chat over breakfast as we shared interests from gardening to travelling. Sophie was a fantastic host and left me everything I needed for my stay. I was only there for the weekend but would happily come back another time. The location was perfect for me as my friends were also nearby and was easy to coordinate.

Lovely house - wanted to stay there longer! :) arrived by bike and took some rides to town so location was great for me, also had jogs along the picturesque stream nearby. Mirna was an incredible host and we were lucky enough to be her first guests at her lovely cottage in the Kent countryside. The bnb was very clean and comfortable and the service provided by Mirna and her family was outstanding. I would highly reccommend this airbnb to everyone!

Close to Canterbury city center and in the same time surrounded by forest and fields. As the room is very spacious and bright with comfortable sofas and a table, it's also a nice place to spend some time reading, playing games or take a relaxing bath. I would recommend this place.

What a wonderful place! Sheila and Steve were lovely hosts and hugely helpful. Their place is super comfortable and furnished to a really high standard. It's also situated with a lovely view over the fields for a coffee in the morning. An idyllic little getaway. Would return in a flash!

Sophie is a really kind and attentive person for guests. Moreover, she is a true person. For all these reasons my first experience with airbnb was really great.

Sophie was kind and offered me pizza on arrival she has a check in box if you are late. Her place is very clean and she is often out at church so I had some time to relax in the morning which was great. She got me some amazing coffee and offered other extra very thoughtful "indeed surprises " that were so appreciated and added to the value of the place. I was very happy. Bed by the way is very comfortable this from a post menopausal lady who has very achy joints!! There is a desk and chair and bedside light. The loo across the way is handy as the loo downstairs is a trek that may fully wake you in the night and there are stairs to negotiate as well, which might prove dicey when half asleep though Sophie prefers you to use the downstairs one as I guess the one upstairs is hers and it's compact but nevertheless as I am nearly 60 with this joints issue - I used it. The shower and bath both good - shower had various settings on it and was great more than powerful enough. Alittle more info on Canterbury coukd be included and perhaps some personal recommendations. It's a very short cab journey to cathedral and costs about £6 - there is no landline on site visible and it's worth noting that if you have only a mobile and you don t charge it up - or forget charger - maybe a bit stranded! . Though for longer less rushed stays the bus connections are good. The sound of distant traffic is quiet and did not bother me. At all. Five stars!

I had a great stay at Sophie's house. The bed was comfortable, the room was a good size, the shower was powerful and the whole house has a very homey feel. Sophie herself was very nice, she didn't make me feel awkward or unwelcome. I would definitely recommend her house to a friend, and I'd stay here again in a heartbeat.

Sophie's home is an approximate ten minute ride from the Bus station with a nearby bus stop. Your hostess is a charming lady whose vocation is that of interpreter in erman and Arabic languages her speciality. This calls her away at unpredictable times occasionally requiring guests to provide for themselves at breakfast from a well-stocked fridge. Guests will be required to remove footwear. The light coloured new carpeting is a likely reason. Steep stairs and bathroom facilities make it advisable for the elderly to occupy rooms downstairs.
