“You've probably already heard of Eventide because it's the most highly rated place in Portland, in this case believe the hype. There will most likely be a long wait, so prepare for that before you go, it's worth it. If you're visiting in the off season and visit at unusual hours you may get lucky enough to be seated immediately (it's happened to us a couple of times). You must try the brown butter lobster roll, you won't regret it. They also have a killer late night happy hour if you need a bite after drinking in the Old Port.”

“The Portland Old Port is one of my favorite day trips. Shopping, dining, walking, museums (art museum, kid's museum). This day trip can appeal to all groups. Make sure to also visit Portland Headlight at Fort Williams Park! This day trip is great no matter what time of year it is. Don't forget to try a lobster roll -- my daughter's favorite is at Eventide Oyster Co. ”

“Fantastic, best-in-town, donuts. They have 3 different locations and this on in smack in the middle of the old port. Lines can be long so going early is recommended. My favorite flavors are the dark chocolate sea salt and sweet potato ginger. ”

“Hunt and Alpine Club is my favorite cocktail bar in Portland. It features scandinavian small plates & clever cocktails in a minimalist space with a bar & communal tables. Everything there is expertly prepared and worth trying. Tip: The green chile/parmesan popcorn from the late night menu is delicious.”
