“Fort Worden is right in the City of Port Townsend. A wonderful beach, a marine science center, hiking trails, campground, conference center, host to music festivals through Centrum and much more. My favorite place to walk. If you don't have a State Park Pass, you can park for free in front of the large grassy area at the entrance. ”

Indie Movie Theatre
“If you are in the mood for a movie, this is the place. It also has AWESOME popcorn with a variety of toppings available. (You can just go in and buy the popcorn, if you want and there is not a crowd in the lobby.) Lots of interesting special showings on the weekend, including old movies and plays.”

Restaurant
“This is one of our favorite places to eat and drink. Great beers on taps (including local ones), and awesome pub food. Best burgers in town. Great fish and chips. And beautiful view from deck with outside seating. This is a 21-and-over place, so no kids. During the summer, it can get busy and the deck fills up. The servers here work hard and are great, but when they are slammed, food can be a bit slower to come out. (A good reason for a second beer!) There is live music many nights, as well as Open-Mike on Wednesday, and karaoke on Thursdays.”

“Finnriver is the most inspirational farm to table place around. They converted an old dairy farm into a gathering place for all ages and they serve their many ciders and locally sourced food. Food carts vary and there is a woodfired pizza oven. There are games in the field for all ages as well. ”

Pub

“Absolutely awesome place to grab a beer and sit outside, basically on the beach if you want. This is a favorite of locals, especially during the summer season when other places attract lots of out of town visitors. But, don't worry, if someone figures out your not a local, they will still be nice. ”

“Fabulous coffee house located in the Maritime Center compound. You can sit outside and look at the water if the weather is nice or hang out inside where it's cozy. Staff is friendly and the coffee is yummy! ”

Food
“If I had to suggest one thing you should not miss, it would be the Farmer's Market on Saturday. Not only is there lots of locally grown and sourced food, but also some amazingly tasty prepared food to eat right there, from paella, to crab cakes, to brats on a bun. ”

“Great place for a bit more upscale lunch or dinner. The service is always great. Another great place for fish and chips. I usually order the risotto, which is a special of the day, usually with fresh local seafood. They also sell their own spice blends for a great souvenir of your visit to PT>”

“The Ajax Cafe is an old-time favorite place for locals and visitors. The restaurant is down by the water and across the street from The Wooden Boat School in Hadlock. It's famous for its delicious (locally sourced) food and fun hats. Everyone can adorn their heads with lavish, fun or funky hats. They often have live music as well. ”

Italian Restaurant
“Old school, romantic vibe. Classic Italian food with an emphasis on red sauces. Excellent lasagna (although Denis insists that the lasagna he makes is better). Would be a nice place for "date night" for just the two of you. Solid pizza too. ”
