“The stunning national park is easily reached by car from Cefalù. The roads are windy, and sometimes steep, but the volume of traffic is very low and the driving experience is great. Plenty of jaw-dropping vistas to stop and take a break. If you want to tick a box, head as far as you can up into the mountains where you'll find one of Sicily's ski resorts! Yes, skiing in Sicily - winter only of course! Incredible scenery all around, and all year round.”

“The Orto Botanico di Palermo (Palermo Botanical Garden) is both a botanical garden and a research and educational institution of the Department of Botany of the University of Palermo. The earliest beginnings of the garden go back to 1779. The garden is open to visitors during the working week from 9.00am to 5.00pm (from April to October to 6.00pm). Weekend hours are from 8.30am to 1.30pm. It's absolutely worth a visit! ”
