“A local favorite institution. Visited by celebrities, high-ranking government and private sector officials, as well as common people. Absolutely nothing fancy about this place, on the contrary it is very bare-minimum. Just great burgers done in a barbecue. I love it and go often for lunch or after work. ”

Beach
“Easily the most scenic of San Juan’s coastlines, the Balneario El Escambrón has three beaches with calm, relaxing waters, a park on its outskirts, and is surrounded by Old San Juan. It’s ideal for laid-back sunbathing; quiet, leisurely soaks; and snorkeling — particularly at Playa 9, where fish gather around concrete boulders. Guided scuba dives are available; check local companies (Scuba Dogs is one) for tour info. ”

Park
“What an amazing Hidden Gem right and beautiful San Juan. Puerto Rico has so many beautiful Parks but I think more tourists need to see. This one for example was so lovely. We saw chickens and iguanas basking in the Sun. The Banyan trees are so lovely providing lots of canopies , and the fort seems to be tucked in the middle of the park . And they were so many cute little areas. It was a great walk through. Wonderful place to have a picnic. Or just enjoy the beauty. ”
