“Bakeries are a BIG part of PR culture...I personally love going to a local bakery for breakfast at least once a week. Fresh bred, coffee and the local delicy: quesitos and croquetas! Must try them and Kasalta is one of the best places to start off!”

“You will arguably find the best Puerto Rican food in this spot. They have various locations so feel free to locate the closest one to you. Their "sister company", Cayo Caribe essentially serves the same menu. Feel free to locate whichever is closest to you. ”

“Plaza del Mercado, or La Placita as it’s more commonly known, is a traditional market during the day. It truly comes to life in the evening though, as the streets fill with people enjoying the many bars and restaurants that surround it. Visit La Placita in the evening (Thursday through Saturday are the busiest nights), and you’ll be treated to live music and dancing in the streets. Grab a bite to eat or a drink, then join in the fun … the festive atmosphere is contageous!”

“Red Flamboyan is the place for authentic Puerto Rican cuisine. We recommend the Pescado del Dia al Estilo del Chef - the fish of the day in a creamy creole sauce. And if they are offering coconut creme brulee for dessert... well, then you've hit the jackpot!”
