“De Mercadillo in Puntagorda is zeer bekend. Het is een grote boerenmarkt met een erg leuk barretje. Hier kun je tevens tegen een zeer scherpe prijs heerlijk eten en drinken. De markt is geopend op zaterdag en zondag van resp. 15.00 uur t/m 19.00 uur en van 13.00 uur t/m 19.00 uur. Regelmatig worden hier festiviteiten georganiseerd.”

Point of Interest
“AirBnB has made a mistake in calling this Conservas Monte Lucia. This listing is for Mercadillo del Agricultor Puntagorda. This is a weekend farmers market with local fresh produce and hand-made/artisan goods. Open Saturday: 15:00-19:00, Sundays 11:00-15:00 Often with live music and other activities. There is a bar/restaurant open until late.”

“Live music concerts and local celebrations are held here. The food is also good, try the stews, salad and arepas (corn-meal based patties with different fillings, typical in Venezuela and La Palma).”

“A good restaurant with terrace serving Canarian dishes: I recommend fried rabbit with Canarian "wrinkled" potatoes (potatoes cooked in sea salt until the skin wrinkles) and salad from local vegetables”

“Local events are often held here. There is also a bar in the evenings serving good croquetas (fritters) and great hamburgers, steak and salad with local vegetables. The short menu changes seasonally.”

Park
“Small recreational area in the pines. Plenty of parking. Ok to free-camp here, but avoid at the weekends as it gets VERY busy due to the Puntagorda market!”
