Places to stay in Ramsey
A lovely, spacious Victorian house, with modern facilities in a quiet suburb, but close to all local amenities walking distance to the TT course (1.3km), Raad Ny Follian, Northern swimming pool, Mooragh Park. Secure off road parking. Ideal for families or groups walking and cycling based holidays. Spread out, kick off your shoes and relax. If required garage space can be made available for bicycles with prior arrangement. Unlimited broadband and Netflix available.
This is a traditional Victorian house built in 1901, as such it combines large living areas, beautiful corniced ceilings and other Victorian features together with all modern amenities for guests comfort. The house has a large garden on 3 sides of the house and maximises the sunny aspects.
This is a quiet residential suburb of Ramsey, but within a mile of the town and harbour with a footpath to the lovely Mooragh Park and amenities. Ramsey itself has a lovely highstreet with many independent shops and eateries. The house is outside the TT course which means you are able to access other areas of the island during races.
  • A lovely family home, with traditional elements (dining room, fireplace) blended into modern touches (kitchen, living room). The house is located above a park that is a great place for kids to play, and a short walk into the town centre with all its amenities. We were rained in by Storm Dennis and unable to enjoy the garden, but the kids loved playing with the boardgames and books thoughtfully left for wet weather.

  • Amanda is a great host, going above and beyond to ensure our stay was comfortable and that we had everything we needed - up to and including changing the heating schedule for the property to accommodate our early rising. The place is spotlessly clean and the kitchen particularly well stocked - even with an additional measuring jug upon request for our longer stay! Thanks Amanda.

  • Every thing about this house is wonderful! The location is great - peaceful but a short drive to the town centre. Exceptionally clean, and the service is fantastic. Amanda has thought of everything, and communication is brilliant.

  • Amanda's house is beautiful and its pictures doesn't do it justice. It's great for families, fantastic view of the backyard and beyond (also, there's a beautiful view of Mooragh park a few steps outside) with great amenities. You can do a 20min walk from the house to downtown Ramsey and even enjoy a walk down to Mooragh Park. Looking forward to staying here again!

  • Amanda's house is a superb place to stay. It is well equipped and spacious with many modern fittings. It is also will placed to access the Mooragh Park and only a short distance to the centre of Ramsey.

  • This is a beautiful and spacious house, well equipped with everything you could need. Lovely welcoming touches like the amazing apple juice left in the fridge. Would love to go back.

  • We could not have dreamed up a more perfect stay than this. We were mere minutes’ walking distance to the beach, beautiful Mooraugh Park, and downtown Ramsey. Our stay was quiet, peaceful, and restful - just what we wanted! Amanda seems to have thought of everything - snacks and drinks in the fridge; handy, colorful maps of the island; and beautiful, fresh bouquets of flowering plants to welcome us. All eight of us were sad to leave!

  • Great stay! Amanda was a great host and the house was spectacular

Welcome to my home on the beautiful Isle of Man Spacious rooms make it a perfect base to return home to after a day exploring the island or spending time with family You are literally 20 seconds walk to the beach. Yes, I did time it :o) The Isle of Man is a beautiful, quiet and incredibly safe place to spend time. The perfect getaway for walking, mountain biking or enjoying a sunset This is my personal space when I'm back home so it's fully equipped to a high standard
The kitchen is fully equipped with high quality items (I'm a keen home cook and used to run catering business) - fridge-freezer, microwave, new Neff oven, baking equipment, lots of crockery/cutlery/wine glasses. None of this one plate/fork per person nonsense There are plenty of spare towels, extra pillows. I use Airbnb when I travel and hate it when I'm given one towel and pillow....feels like being back at boarding school :o/ There is a washing machine and dryer, NetFlix and high-speed internet are included It's really perfect for longer stays, a true home from home
Ramsey is a beautiful, historic seaside town with clean beaches It is incredibly safe and quiet with easy access to the surrounding countryside You can see some nice things to do in the area on my Instagram @ayrebnb
  • A lovely apartment - very spacious, beautifully furnished and well equipped. Great location, just by the beach for walks and swims. We had a great holiday and hope to return soon.

  • Kathryn's place has everything you need to feel at home. Its much bigger than the pictures suggest, the kitchen is huge and very well stocked, the beds are super cosy and the whole place feels stylish and really comfortable. I would 100% stay here again if returning to IoM.

  • Very clean, modern and comfortable place to stay when visiting the Isle of Man. Beds were very comfortable. Nice big kitchen and living room. Parking was no trouble. Easy access to all major routes round the island and the nearby beach.

  • Excellent sea-front location, sandy/shallow beach, great living space, comfortable king-sized bed, Netflix, lovely large kitchen, easy parking, short, easy walk to Ramsey town, directly opposite the historical Queen’s pier. We had the perfect family holiday there. Excellent host.

  • We really enjoyed our stay in the flat, the bed in the front room was so comfortable that we asked about the model!

  • The flat was lovely and clean, spacious and very comfy. Please be aware it is a basement flat, but there is still natural light from the lounge and bedroom and you can, just about, see the sea. The kitchen and bathroom were well equipped and the latter had an amazing shower. You are right on the sea front and very close to the town centre and bus and tram stations.

    Ramsey, Isle of Man

Enjoy the best of what the Isle of Man has to offer in our contemporary two bedroom self-catering apartment, located in the heart of Ramsey, a beautiful coastal town in the North of the Island.
Our immaculate modern two bedroom apartment is fully furnished with two sofa’s, flat screen televisions and free wi-fi. The spacious open plan kitchen-diner is well equipped with the essentials such as a kettle and toaster, but also a breakfast bar, coffee machine, washer/dryer, dishwasher etc. In the bathroom you will find a large walk in shower, towels and basic toiletries. The bright and airy bedrooms offer a double size bed and two singles, both with ample storage space.
Ramsey is in the sunniest area of the Isle of Man, with relatively low rainfall. To the north of Ramsey the beaches run continuously to the north tip of the island. On the southern edge of Ramsey, at the edge of the hills, are a network of woods and glens: Ballure Walk, Lhergy Frissel and Elfin Glen. The Millennium Way and other paths and roads lead up to and across the upland heath. Ramsey begins the northern line of the Manx Electric Railway and is the start of the mountain section of the Snaefell Mountain Course used for the annual Isle of Man TT and Manx Grand Prix motorcycle races. A popular vantage point is Ramsey Hairpin (approx. 10 minute walk), another popular spot is Parliament Square in the middle of town (10 minute walk). The Millennium Way footpath ends 1 mi (1.6 km) from the centre of the town on the A3 road at the foot of Sky Hill. Mooragh Park, on the north side of the Sulby river, is a 19th-century park with a large boating lake where boats (canoes, pedaloes etc) are available for hire. It was originally part of a salt marsh but was purchased and developed by the town to encourage visitors. Mooragh Park has a small water park, costa coffee, a BMX club, skate park, tennis courts, basketball area, outdoor exercise equipment, and a children's playground. The Northern Swimming Pool is situated opposite the harbour on the Mooragh Promenade. The Albert Tower was built to commemorate the royal visit of Prince Albert on 20 September 1847. Queen Victoria's Royal Yacht anchored in the bay, when heavy seas made it impossible to enter Douglas Harbour. Recovering from seasickness, Victoria remained on the yacht, leaving Prince Albert to venture ashore. He climbed to the top of the hill, from where he viewed the town of Ramsey and the northern plain. The hill was renamed Albert Mount and a year later the tower's foundation was laid. The tower is made of granite and rises 45 feet (14 m) high. It is a landmark not only for the town of Ramsey, but also for the north of the Isle of Man. There is a public path leading up the hill for people to visit the tower. Another distinctive landmark of the town, only a 2 minute walk away, is the Queen's Pier an iron pier which was built in 1886. The Grove Museum of Victorian Life (Manx National Heritage) is located in the northern suburbs on the A9 (Andreas Road).
  • Great little apartment. Came stocked with all the basics and only a short distance from the Center of Ramsey.

Beach and Queens Pier close by. One well behaved dog welcome. Free parking available close to the property.
Guests have their own suite - bedroom, dressing room and en-suite shower room. Breakfast is in the dining room. Ferndale is a bed and breakfast establishment but it’s our home too.
Ferndale is situated in a quiet road just above the town of Ramsey with it's shops, restaurants and cafes. The beach is 10 minutes walk away with access to the Raad Ny Foillan coastal path. From Ferndale you can easily walk into the countryside and woodland, climbing up to Albert Tower, where there are some spectacular views across Ramsey and the north of the island. • Great place to stay, in fact the best if you are going with baby. I went with my 4 months daughter and she has everything you ever need for babies and for families. Best experience of bnb I ever had. Thanks a lot Janice.. will definitely recommend this place to stay. 5 stars for the every thing, great breakfast, very clean place, she advised us for the places to visit, it’s great.

  • I almost don't want to tell you how good this is as it will get so busy we may not be able to book back in. incredible value cleanliness and attention to detail. Jan and lan. welcome you into their stunning home like a friend. You are made to feel so welcome. 5 star all around!!

    Julia2019-06-25T00:00:00Z
  • Jan and her husband were lovely and welcoming, as was Ziggy the dog (very well behaved). The cat also deigned to visit us a couple of times :). The house is gorgeous and they've clearly put a lot of work into it. We had the double room suite, and it was lovely and cosy, with a really comfortable bed and pillows. The little dressing room is great for storing all your stuff, so it doesn't clutter up the bedroom, and the little touches of handcream and shower gel were so nice. The en suite shower room was huge and really bright and sunny. The shower was roomy and there were even shelves to put your shampoo/conditioner on (believe me, this is a rarity). The breakfast was lovely, with plenty of choice, with yogurt, fruit, cereal, porridge, some packaged brioche to easily take out with you, and toast if needed. Jan also offers oat milk if you prefer it. The coffee was excellent too. There was no set time for breakfast, you could just help yourself when you pleased, which meant we could have a bit of a lie in. The location was great. Literally just a few minutes walk up from both Ramsey bus and Electric Railway stations, and just a short walk down from the Mountain road hairpin. I would not hesitate to recommend staying here :)

    Ramsey, Isle of Man

A spacious ground floor flat situated in the heart of Ramsey. Conveniently located for the town centre with its many shops, bars and restaurants, 2 minutes from the beach and a short 5 minute walk from the famous TT Course. Excellent transport links with both bus and train stops in close proximity. Ample on-street parking. The accommodation is suitable for 4 people (+ infant): one king size bedroom and one smaller twin bedroom, modern bathroom, sitting room and breakfasting kitchen.
The apartment is located centrally, across from Ramsey south shore beach and Queens Pier, and a 5 minute walk from all town amenities. Ramsey has a wide selection of restaurants, bars and shops, not to mention family activities, including the swimming pool and 10 pin bowling alley. Mooragh Park is a 15 minute stroll away, and offers boating, mini golf, splash zone water play park and excellent children’s play area. There are also BMX and skate parks. Ramsey has a challenging 18 hole golf course, in close proximity to the apartment. The apartment is well served by public transport, being on the main Douglas to Ramsey bus route, and is a short walk from the Northern Terminus of the electric tram.
  • Excellent place, near the centre of town and with great views of the sea. Highly recommended including for the TT races which pass nearby

  • A spacious, clean apartment convenient to the center of Ramsey. A nice view from the living room. The master bedroom is large. The room with twin beds is a bit tight but beds are comfortable- I never slept better. Ascog Hall is on the bus route; a convenience I took advantage of.

    Ramsey, Isle of Man

Georgian period house with a great sense space, calm and pleasure about it. Next to the beaches, it offers easy access for long walks on the sand. It is quiet and still close to the town center, buses, trains TT/MGP race course etc. Three nights minimum. Within the price range, probably the best B&B on the island. Breakfast included.
Perfect TT location. A few minutes walk from all the action, pubs etc, but also quiet at night time. It is to be noted that the ground floor room has its own toilet and washbasin just adjacent, (photo enclosed) but that the bathtop/shower, also as seen on the photos, is two floors up and is a shared one. This small inconvenience is reflected in the price.
The town of Ramsey, the second largest on the island, is situated in the north which surprisingly has a much milder and sunnier climate than the rest of the area. It has many tourist and leisure attractions, from the ten pin bowling alley, new swimming pool, working fishing harbour, 18 hole golf course and many delightful shops and cafes to browse in. There are numerous walks from Ramsey taking in the wonderful coastline and the glens, which surround the area. The Famous Hairpin bend on the TT course is a short walk as is the buzz of Parliament Square where the bikes make their turn up towards the mountain course. The Manx Electric railway terminus is situated in the centre of the town and from here you can take a coastal ride as far as Laxey, connect with the Snowfell Railway up to the top of the mountain or carry on through spectacular scenery to Douglas the islands capital. A must for all railway enthusiasts! The Wildlife Park is a few minutes drive away and there is always a welcome there from the plethora of engaging wild animals. Of local attractions are Miltown Manor house, built by the same family as Bach House. It has the most beautiful and amazing gardens on the island. Also well worth a visit is the Victorian Grove Manor Museum. A walk into the 19th century, as if time had stood still. Both have nice tearooms. Ramsey is an excellent choice to base your visit to the Isle of Man, be it business or pleasure and is easily accessible to all parts of the island, being a twenty-minute drive over the spectacular mountain road or scenic coast route. The bus service is extensive as are the trains but for cycling or Motor biking there is nowhere better to start your tour. A visit to the Ayres Lighthouse, a gentle stroll round Mooragh Park or a demanding hike through the mountains and glens which are all within easy reach, all go to make Ramsey perfect for your visit to this beautiful and unspoiled island, as can be viewed in this You Tube clip : https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kwxQ9cyen64
  • A beautiful, Georgian home with stunning furniture and artwork - a very regal vibe! Steen and Sophie were just lovely, and full of excellent local tips - their love and passion for this little island was clear. A filling continental breakfast each morning with thoughtful little touches such as delicious baguettes and rhubarb compotes. I would thoroughly recommend their home and their hospitality.

    Nikitha2019-10-17T00:00:00Z
  • Steen and his wife are incredible people nice to meet them! The House, the view, the area are awesome! You got everything you need and more... Thank you for a great breakfast! Loved to walk along the Beach! We would come back! Thank you very much for opening your treasure for everybody!

    Nicola2019-10-05T00:00:00Z
  • A huge thank you to Steen and Sophie, for the wonderful welcome and hospitality shown whilst staying in their beautiful home. Both so friendly and helpful, assisting us greatly in our plans for relocating to the island.

    Dee2019-10-01T00:00:00Z
  • I can’t recommend this beautiful house or it’s wonderful, helpful and accommodating hosts enough. Steen and Sophie made me feel so welcome and at ease. You are given space and freedom in their stunning home, but they are also always around to have a chat or offer advice or tips on things to do in the area. Perfect hosts! The breakfasts were delicious and you can help yourself- you’re not tied down to set times which was very refreshing and relaxed. The house itself was incredible- so chic and full of character, homely and warm. A truly perfect experience- I can’t wait to visit again!

    Emily2019-09-09T00:00:00Z
  • A beautiful house with beautiful people! After a disastrous stay elsewhere, Steen was able to respond to messages almost instantly to arrange our stay at very short notice, and the hospitality was amazing from the moment we arrived to the moment we left. The room itself was stunning, and the amenities, location and hosts were top class. I cannot express how highly I would recommend a stay at Beach House.

    Fox2019-08-31T00:00:00Z
  • A beautiful house in a beautiful setting. Right next to the stunning beach and the lovely little town of Ramsey, Steen and Sophie’s abode provides a great base for getting around the IOM. We didn’t have a car so relied on buses and trains, but with Steen’s advice and our Go Explore travel cards it wasn’t a problem at all. The house itself is beautiful and packed full of lovingly collected art and furniture. Steen and Sophie were very accommodating to dietary requests for breakfast and I only wish we’d had more time to sit down with them to find out more about their interesting lives. Our room and bed was extremely comfortable, it was very quiet and calm and we had a lovely stay!

    Katrina2019-08-26T00:00:00Z
  • This is without doubt one of the best airbnb experiences I have had in a long time. Steen and Sophie are perfect hosts in every way. Perfectly located with truly stunning views and immediate access to the glorious beach below. the property itself is magical with great elegance and charm and luxuriously furnished to highest standard. To anyone travelling to the Isle of Man you will find no better place to rest your head! You do need a car to get around this special island state and see the many delights it has to offer! I will be back!

Jan and Ian are wonderful hosts and nothing is too much trouble. The room we stayed in was exceptional and Jan’s breakfasts are excellent. Jan, we’re taking Ziggy the next time we visit though.

  • Wonderful hospitality at a beautiful home. A lovely space which was very high-spec and comfortable which accommodated our children in the room perfectly. The amazing breakfast spread set us up each day for a full day of sightseeing. Thanks so much :)

  • Stayed here for 3 nights using the 2 bedrooms. Amazing place and perfect hosts. Hosts allow pets to be taken into one of the bedrooms which made our stay perfect. Great breakfasts, choice of full English or salmon and scrambled egg, both beautiful. Thanks Janice and Ian, we will be back.

  • We stayed for three nights and could not recommend this place enough! Lisa is a wonderful host providing great tips of the local area, she recommended a walk to the tower of refuge (something that only happens once a year, which we would not have known) . The flat is a relaxing haven with wonderful views of the mountains. It is warm well furnished clean and cosy (and is exactly like the pictures). We will definitely be returning. Thanks Lisa!

    Sophie2019-08-26T00:00:00Z
  • Lisa offers fantastic accommodation in a quiet spot in the flat, northern part of the Isle of Man, not too far from Ramsey. The flat is at a stunning location, with views onto Snaefell, and we were very well looked after. The free plums, strawberry jam and honey were a nice extra. The flat was clean and well equipped for home cooking. Communication before an during our stay was also excellent. Highly recommended!

  • Lovely comfortable accommodation, wonderful views of Snaefell and the hills. Highly recommended!

  • Lovely place to stay, kind and welcoming hosts. Balcony was wonderful, beautiful garden to look at. Highly recommended

    Louise2019-06-19T00:00:00Z
  • We have stayed in several Airbnb's but this one was in a different league. The property is in a beautiful location and it is very clean and tidy. Lisa is a great host but never intrusive. She is easy to contact and always responds quickly to any message. The Airbnb has all you need for a very comfortable stay. The kitchen has all the appliances that you may need and the bed is also very comfortable. There is a balcony that overlooks the beautiful gardens and a lake with geese and other bird life. The location is in the countryside but Ramsey is easy enough to drive to if you need a supermarket. There is also a friendly local pub near to the Airbnb which serves very good food. We highly recommend this lovely home.

A Georgian house dating back to 1813 which has been lovingly restored maintaining many original features, has spacious rooms with high ceilings and an air of peace and tranquility. Eclectic decor, mostly in a traditional style, mature gardens.
A warm, comfortable home, a mixture of English eccentric and modern styles, old and new, a relaxing and pleasant harmony throughout the property.
The house is a walking distance from the centre of Ramsey, the second biggest town in the Isle of Man and the biggest in the North of the Isle of Man, used to be a busy and popular sea side resort in Victorian times, prior to the era of commercial aircraft and package holidays. Some of the old sea side resort charm still lingers, althoug these days Ramsey is very quet, sleepy and visited mostly during the summer months by people who like walking or cycling holidays but especially TT motorbike enthusiasts and some business people as well. We are 10 min walking distance from the beach in Ramsey, 10 minutes wlaking from central Ramsey with all its ameniteis and eateries ( there is an Indian, a Chinese, two Italian style restaurants, a French restaurant, several pubs and two Fish n' Chippies. There is a good take away pizza place, two Costa Coffees and several local cafes, three food stroes , ice cream parlour and a string of small local shops sellling gifts.) Mooragh Park is 5 minutes walk, it has a BMX track and an open door tennis court as well as a rugby pitch. There is a swimming pool although it is too busy. On the opposite side of the Sulby river running past Mount Auldyn House there is a small Nature trail, good for walking and running. There are several Victorian places of interest and many places for long walks. The Barrule reservoire is 10 min drive and open for fishing and so is the Sulby reservoire ( approx 20 min drive).Laxey, with its famous Wheel and mining history is a pleasant journey on the electric train ( one of the oldest surviving in the country) away. Ramsey golf course is nly 6-7 min drive and we can provide assistance with booking of tee times, golf clubs and trolleys.
  • An outstanding house with stunning accommodation, wonderful hosts and lovely breakfast. The location is fantastic and it was an absolute pleasure to stay here. We will definitely be back.

    Sarah2019-06-07T00:00:00Z
  • Jenny and Richard were so kind and helpful to us during our stay. Their home is beautiful and a short walk from the town centre. Very clean, helpful information to hand and tasty breakfasts. Would definitely recommend.

  • Jenny and Richard are fabulous host and their home is spectacular. Beautifully presented and impeccably maintained, this is a true 5 star B&B.

    Chris2018-06-03T00:00:00Z
  • We cannot say enough... perfect in all respects and Jenny and Richard are a fantastic couple to get to know, exquisitely not 'run of the mill' XOX We will be returning .... if they'll have us ;-)

  • Very good ambience. Highly rated as a 5 star house, but very family friendly and Jenny and Richards are perfect hosts. My visit to the Isle of Man to the TT was a great experience.

  • Jenny was a very attentive and lovely host. Her home was absolutely immaculate and beautiful- better than staying in a 5 star hotel! The breakfast spread each morning was a lovely addition and great way to start the day, we wouldn't stay anywhere else on the Isle of Man. Perfection :)

Georgian period house with a great sense space, calm and pleasure about it. Very comfortable. Next to the beaches, it offers easy access for long walks on the sand. It is quiet and still close to the town center, buses, trains TT/MGP race courses etc. 3 nights minimum booking. Within the price range, probably the best B&B on the island.
With out over stating things, within the price range, it is probably the most outstanding house on the island, which let rooms. The issue is that it offers much more than just a place to sleep for TT/GMP or a drop by to stay overnight. It is a historic Georgian house with period furniture, with the best views and indeed also the best beaches at its feet ! It is a place to have a calm holiday as well. It is minutes from all the TT/MGP action, but far enough to be able to sleep at night.
A visit to the Ayres Lighthouse, a gentle stroll round Mooragh Park or a demanding hike through the mountains and glens which are all within easy reach, all go to make Ramsey perfect for your visit to this beautiful and unspoiled island, as can be seen on this You Tube link : https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kwxQ9cyen64
  • A beautiful home, fabulous views and exceptionally helpful kind and friendly hosts, a perfect 6 night break.

  • Sophie and Steen's place is beautifully furnished, in a picturesque location. Handy to public transport and a short walk to restaurants and facilities. It is nice quiet place to retire of evening. Great communication.

  • This was one of the greatest experiences I had! It goes directly to my top 5 places I've ever been! And probably the best morning view I ever had! The location couldn't be better and all the decoration it's absolutely beautiful! Great breakfast and amazing hospitality. Couldn't ask for more! I'll absolutely repeat the experience! Nothing to complain at all!

  • Jenny’s is perfect in every way. Great location, really comfortable and warm, welcoming considerate hosts. If you manage to book in you are in for a treat. We stayed for the TT and it was a good location for getting to some good viewing spots too. Enjoy!

  • This is a 5-star BnB by any measure. It is an exceptional home restored and loved by its outstandingly hospitable owners. Jenny and Richard are perfect hosts: kind, considerate, informative, helpful in the extreme. Together they have created a very beautiful and luxuriously furnished home and generously wish to share it with you for your stay. We stayed for TT week and found Mount Auldyn House a perfect retreat from the excitement of the racing - an ideal location, an unforgettable place, and a massive thank you both!

  • We all know all those amazing Victorian houses from magazines, aren't we? Well that one is better! MUCH BETTER! With taste and joy house, garden and surroundings just transferring you to a fairytale where YOU are the princess. But house is not only a pretty building - is a place build by people that live in it. You feel like in home, because Jenny and her family is a soul of that place. Soul and heart. That is not a place that I can just recommend. YOU Traveler HAVE TO TRY IT!

    Magdalena2017-06-11T00:00:00Z
  • An amazing and incredible home, with such friendly and helpful hosts. A great location with easy access to public transport. I highly recommend staying, and hope to return in the future.

  • What an incredibly beautiful place to vacation on the Isle of Man to spend. The Mount Auldyn House has fantastic rooms with bath, a garden, living room and kitchen, which may be used at any time. Center and beach are within walking distance. Bus stop at the front of the house. Just awesome! Jenny is a very attentive hostess, always helpful and with many tips for activities. We felt at any time welcome. Thank you for allowing us to spend a week with you in your beautiful home. It was a great pleasure for us!

  • Everything about Jenny's hospitality, herself, her house, her gardens are fab , the idea in the dining room "table of friendship"...

Mount Auldyn House was built 200 years ago and although it still has the charm of its period days, is a truly modern house, full of light, space and comfort. It is situated in the beautiful North of the Isle of Man, a place for business, sport and nature loving!
Comfortable and new accommodation in a refurbished period setting, a perfect combination between countryside and small town charm. A lot of green space and even a river at the bottom,of the property. Very convenient for watching the local motorbike attractions, using the premises as a business trip base or coming as a tourist who likes walking and bird watching.
The most precious asset to the neighbourhood is the fact that so much is only a walking distance away- a nature trail, the local shops, restaurant s, pubs, the hospital and even the church- all within 10 minutes walking distance. This is a safe and friendly neighbourhood, the houses are of mixed standard and style but all very peaceful and quiet.
  • If you want a fantastic place to stay on the Isle of Man with a host who will go the extra mile to ensure your stay is enjoyable - then Mount Auldyn House is the place for you.

  • Imagine the most elegant hotel room you’ve ever been in. Upgrade it. Twice. Now build a house around it. Beautiful home close to everything in Ramsey. Jenny and her husband are gracious and welcoming and did everything to make me feel like a special guest in their home. If this is your first time staying in a bnb, be warned: this is an extremely rare gem and you will have to work hard to find another like this!

    Christopher2018-05-30T00:00:00Z
  • This is a lovely place to stay. Jenny is a great hostess and very welcoming. We had the bedroom with the 4 poster bed. The bed is nice and large - not small like some 4 poster beds. The room was spacious with a large bathroom and beautiful views of the garden and countryside.

    Lesley2017-09-02T00:00:00Z
  • Jenny & Richard are the best. Above and beyond the best I was hoping for. Most accommodating. They know the island very well. They know where everything is and how to get there. Definitely would stay with them again. :D

Ramsey, Isle of Man, United Kingdom

Georgian period house with a great sense space, calm and pleasure about it. Spacious and comfortable French style room with unique views over unspoiled Ramsey bay. Next to the beaches, it offers easy access for long walks on the sand. It is quiet, relaxing and still close to the town center, buses, trains TT/MGP race course etc. 3 nights minimum booking. Within the price range, probably the best B&B on IOM. Breakfast included.
Perfect TT location. A few minutes walk from all the action, pubs etc, but also quiet at night time. For TT - possibility of adding extra mattress in bedroom for a 3rd person. (35 pounds/night - breakfast included.)
A visit to the Ayres Lighthouse, a gentle stroll round Mooragh Park or a demanding hike through the mountains and glens which are all within easy reach, all go to make Ramsey perfect for your visit to this beautiful and unspoiled island, as can be viewed on this You Tube clip : https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kwxQ9cyen64
  • Fabulous location and views straight onto the beach and Queens Pier. Charming and knowledgeable hosts.

  • Steen and his wife were very friendly, helpful and welcoming. They gave us a lot of good tips to travel the island. The breakfast in the beautiful kitchen was a great start into every day and the location of the house is outstanding. It's definitely worth a stay. Check in and out were really easy. Thank you again.

    Kristina2019-08-20T00:00:00Z
  • I was very touched by the concern Steen and his wife showed when I was taken ill during my stay. They went over and above the call of duty and made me feel as comfortable as possible. Lovely house, fabulous location and welcoming hosts in a charming part of the island. My room was lovely and clean and the views from the house are outstanding. I would definitely recommend and will definitely visit again!

    Janaki2019-07-29T00:00:00Z
  • Beautiful house, lovely room, convenient location, and wonderful hosts!

    Zach2019-04-21T00:00:00Z
  • As the name suggests a lovely Victorian era house, complete with Georgian style window shutters and a splendid view of the sea. We had an undisturbed, uninterrupted royal stay at the Beach house in Ramsey. Steen and Sophia were wonderful hosts. I being in the same profession as Steen, had some good evening chats. Sophia having visited India had a lot of things to share and talk. Breakfast was very satisfying with a complete hint of French etiquette and style. The tidal cycle engulfs the beach and presents it once everyday. We 'caught the wave 'and the walk on the beach was immaculate, with secretive natural rock cave and a glen flowing right on to the beach on its natural course. The walk into the woods beside the glen was straight out of an Enid Blyton book, making me live the pages in real. I must credit and thank Steen and Sophia for keeping the house in its original grandeur and not letting the essence slip away. I would certainly love to come back to experience and live the unforgettable moments again if destiny permits.

  • I’ve been over to the Isle of Man a number of times. I have a practice of always staying somehwere new but Beach House may have changed that. The house is beautiful and situated close to Ramsey and public transportation. I had a car but probably didn’t need it, I walked into Ramsey at least once a day for meals and groceries. My hosts were wonderful and made me feel right at home. They even made several gluten free dishes on my last night. The views from the back rooms of the house are stunning. You can see south to Maughold Head and north to Point of Ayre, in between is a pier and the Irish Sea. When it’s clear and the sun is right you can see Lake District of the UK in the East. I could have stayed all day just watching the light changing and the tides going in and out. It’s a very relaxing setting. If you are looking for a quiet base to explore the island from you could not do better. I will definitely be back to Beach House.

A south facing bedroom in this period house, with lovely Georgian proportions, big sash windows and high ceiling, a super-king four poster bed with And so to Bed mattress. The room has a spacious built in in wardrobe, TV with Sky channels, free wifi and a lovely new bathroom with a bath tub and shower. The room is peaceful and quiet, facing the back garden of this period two story property in Ramsey, in the atmospheric North of the Isle of Man.
  • Read great reviews about Mt Auldyn House and Jenny’s hospitality when we booked it for the Classic TT race week. Those reviews did not adequately capture the experience of staying there because it exceeded all expectations. I cannot imagine a finer place in the AirBnB network. Jenny and Richard are amazing hosts and their house is as beautiful and elegant as a house could be but still warm, private, and very comfortable. When the airline failed to deliver our luggage with our flight, Jenny retrieved it from the airport 20 miles away for us later that evening. The house is 2 miles at most from the famous Parliment Square turn on the TT course and only a 15 minute drive to the Jurby airfield where the Sunday Fesival of Motorcycling is held. Its a perfect place to stay and travel from to see and experience the Isle of Man. We would stay there again for sure any time we return.
