  • We had such a wonderful time in Red River and Pam’s Place made our stay just perfect! It’s in an awesome location and had everything we needed to really enjoy our family ski vacation. Thanks Pam! We can’t wait to come back!

  • Pams place is a sweet little condo with everything you might need for a nice visit. Well stocked, clean, cozy and lots of extras (fire pit, laundry, deck, kitchen gadgets etc). Nice common area/kitchen. Dryer was out of order temporarily maybe verify with host if you will need, but overall a great spot, thanks for the stay!

  • The perfect cozy place tucked into the mountains. Quick drive to the ski lift and wonderful place to come back to when you need to rest your aching feet! Pam has all the dishes, so no worries about having to bring anything extra. Wonderful value and can’t wait to come back!

  • We had an amazing time at the cabin. It was close to everything in town but enough space to get some quiet time of needed. I definitely would go back again.

    Kiara2020-02-23T00:00:00Z
  • Pam’s place was so cozy and spacious. The vaulted ceiling and skylights and large front window made it feel so open and bright. The view out the living room window is stunning, and I truly enjoyed watching the sun rise and having my morning coffee and quiet time in that space. The large deck is also a nice addition for enjoying some afternoon sunshine. My kids (8 and 4) both enjoyed hanging out on the deck and shoveling the snow and playing with the ice. My kids shared the Queen bed and hubby and I had the king bed. My only complaint was the king mattress was a little too firm for my back (I have back issues). We love bringing our own food and doing big breakfasts, so I was pleased to find the kitchen well equipped. I also enjoyed cooking in Pam’s well seasoned cast iron skillet. It truly felt like home! We look forward to booking our next stay.

  • What you see is what you get, and MORE... but you'll have to experience it to believe it. Views that offer entirely new perspectives, charming touches/hidden gems throughout, and lovely hosts who are always available, yet only as present as you'd like them to be. Thank you for everything Jo and Agnes!! We can't wait to return. *Note to future guests: the fully equipped kitchen includes a small collection of craft coffee machines, but be sure BYOB (Bring Your Own Beans), or you're in for a rude awakening, literally!*

    Sarah2020-03-04T00:00:00Z
  • This home and the surrounding views are stunning! It was perfectly located, with an easy drive to ski resorts and other attractions. It was especially warm and cozy for the winter, but I imagine this place is amazing year round. Agnes and Joaquin are also incredibly kind and provide tons of helpful local tips. Highly recommend!!

    Leah2020-02-22T00:00:00Z
  • Could not imagine a better place to stay for our trip. It was close to the ski resort without being on the mountain, and even closer to the town. Joaquin and Agnes were great hosts; we will be staying here again next time!

Ideal location!! Newly renovated studio apartment just 15 minutes to Taos Ski Valley and 10 minutes to downtown Taos. Loads of entertainment, restaurants, and shops close by in Arroyo Seco, on the way to Taos, and in downtown Taos. Close to Angel Fire and Red River. We allow pets!
Great romantic getaway for couples! An excellent place for people wanting solitude. Also excellent for people who want a quiet setting with lots of entertainment options close by. Unit includes: Essential amenities, wifi, self check-in, laptop work space, iron, hangers, hairdryer, shampoo and conditioner, and body wash.
We are out in the country and as such, enjoy incredible mountain views. We have 3 empty acres on either side of us so the space outside feels very spacious. The adorable little town of Arroyo Seco is just 5 minutes down the road.
  • Great stay. Although the studio is close to the main house and casita, my wife and I felt like privacy was not an issue. The location is amazing for a remote getaway within driving distance of incredible outdoor activities. Great communication from host, place was clean and comfortable. Overall, it was a great stay for great value!

  • We were more than happy with our stay at Robin’s. We accidentally ran into her husband the first night, and he was kind enough to give us some great local places to eat. The studio was perfect and clean, and we enjoyed being able to cook our own meals as well. Perfect location between ski valley and the city of Taos!

    Taylor2020-03-08T00:00:00Z
  • This is a wonderful suit centrally located for skiing at Taos ski valley (20min), food in downtown Arroyo Seco(5min) and downtown Taos(10min). The suit was clean and stylish with plenty of room. • A great place to stay.

    Brian2020-01-06T00:00:00Z
  • We enjoyed our stay at Bear Hugs. The check in process was easy and the staff was beyond friendly. The cabin was clean and included everything we needed for our stay. The walk to Main St. was a short 2 minutes, which was great to be off the main road. Would absolutely stay again!

    Nancy2019-11-10T00:00:00Z
  • I was a bit hesitant about this cabin at first as it is managed by a real-estate company and was a bit expensive. They had quite a few rules up front, which was a little off-putting. (E.g. a $500 fine for having a dog on the premises seemed a little over-the-top) However, the people who helped us check in were very friendly and helpful. We had an issue with our toilet and they sent someone over right away to help fix it. They also allowed us to use our portable propane fire pit in the yard, which was nice! The cabin itself was very cute and clean. It was very close to the downtown area. We enjoyed our stay over all and would come back again!

PLEASE read all information carefully before booking! Enchanted Forest offers stunning vistas along meandering forest trails for hiking and mountain biking. It is a 1.25-mile hike (or bike) to the Little John Yurt (no driving). This is CAMPING (we call it “glamping”), not a hotel room. There is no running water, electricity, room or maid service. A wood stove provides heat. You must provide your own sleeping bag (at least 30º or colder rating recommended), pillow and food.
Little John is 16-foot in diameter and has beds for 4 or 5: 3 twin- and 1 double futon sofa bed. The beds are comfortable but you will need to bring your own bedding, specifically, a sleeping bag or bags.
Enchanted Forest offers rolling terrain that make hiking, trail running or mountain biking a dream for everyone from novice to expert: no fee required. Check our website for a trail map (you will also receive one along with your instructions after you book).
  • The stay was absolutely incredible! There were truly no negatives. We were first time campers and it was a dream! Ellen was so available and helped us navigate some tough situations with no questions asked! If you are thinking about staying in any of the Yurts, do think and just do it! You will not regret it!

    Hannah2019-10-07T00:00:00Z
  • Beautiful views, nice hike up! Had everything we needed plus some 🙂

    Ashleigh2019-09-29T00:00:00Z
  • This Yurt boasted breathtaking views both of the mountains and trees during the day, and milky way and moon at night! The surrounding trails where amazing for hiking and mountain biking with lots of view points along the way. Well worth the trek in to the yurt! Ellen was super kind in proving us with plenty of water, which in the summer in New Mexico is a must! She also provided lots of thoughtful touches which made this "glamping trip" feel like a resort retreat. Myself, husband and dogs, cant wait to go back!

    Isaac2019-09-01T00:00:00Z
  • Better than having to set up a tent but don't expect luxuries. It's a great outdoors experience with a lot less hassle.

    Barbara2019-08-29T00:00:00Z
  • We enjoyed our stay at Ellen's place. It was private with beautiful view. Nice quick getaway.

    Lauren2019-08-25T00:00:00Z
  • This is a great yurt. The hike out was easy, saw a herd of elk a couple hundred yards away from the yurt. The yurt is great, plenty of water stashed in the yurt lightened our packs and the stove kept the yurt plenty warm. Firewood on site and the outhouse made it easy living. If you are looking for an easy alternative to backpacking in a beautiful location, this yurt is for you.

    Paul2019-07-28T00:00:00Z
  • The yurt is great. The location and the scenery were incredible. We would recommend this trip to anyone looking to really get away!! Hosts have thought of almost everything.

Ideally located you can still enjoy the mountain views, aspens and cottonwood trees, silence, and bright stars. There are plenty of scenic hikes around, vmountain bike roads, cross country spots, fishing & driving distance to natural hot springs. Nearby are opportunities for hiking, fishing, lama trekking, horseback trails. hot air ballooning, and natural hot springs are within driving distance. San Cristobal is a small village and our eco lodge was built at the turn of last century. Aldous Huxley lived and wrote in our cabins and we found water colors from D.H. Lawrence and letters to the publishers from Frieda Lawrence in the attic of one of the cabins. We are surrounded by national forest and a small river flows from the mountains and into part of the village. Taos is only 11 miles away and the Taos Ski Valley and Red River only about 30 minutes away. Taos Ski Valley reminds us of the Swiss/French/Austrian founders' roots blended with the traditions and customs of the local Hispanic and Pueblo Indian cultures. Being the home of extreme skiing, this is just not a resort for experts, with many beginner and intermediate runs. The ski school is one of the nation's best. It also has an excellent children's day care and ski facility, both skiers and snowboarders are welcome. Taos is home to more than twenty sites on the National Register of Historic Places. The Taos Pueblo has been occupied for nearly a millennium and is considered to be the oldest continuously inhabited community in the Unites States. The Taos Pueblo was added as an Unesco World Heritage Site in 1992 as one of the most significant historical cultural landmarks in the world; There are many ways to explore art in Taos. Taos is an old art colony since 1899. Some of the artists' studios have been preserved and may be viewed by visitors. Many of the historic sites are homes and studios of artists, including the Mabel Dodge Luhan House,Eanger Irving Couse House and Studio, Joseph Henry Sharp Studios, the Leon Gaspard House, the Couse/Sharp Historic Site and the Ernest Martin Hennings House. On Ledoux Street, just south of the Taos Plaza, are the Ernest L. Blumenschein House and Harwood House. There are three Art Museums in Taos: Harwood Museum of Art, Taos Art Museum and Millicent Rogers Museum that provide art from the pueblo Native Americans, Taos Society of Artists and modern and contemporary artists of the Taos art colony. The town has numerous art galleries and there are several houses of the Taos Society of Artists.
San Cristobal is an old valley village nestled in the Sangre de Cristo Mountains with around two hundred families. It is about eleven miles from our property to the outskirts of Taos. It is 23miles to Taos ski valley and Red River Ski are 22 miles away. Some of the families in our valley date back several hundred years. San Cristobal is surrounded by national forest and there are several scenic hikes close to our property. The San Cristobal creek runs through the valley and many of the gardens are watered by the ditches, diverted from the mother creek. These are called acequias and the laws surrounding these date back to the Spaniards. D.H. Lawrence ranch where Frieda and D.H. Lawrence lived and are now buried is also located in San Cristobal, five miles from our property. Lama Foundation is a commune and spiritual community, dating from the sixties. It is located on Lama Mountain, 8.3 miles from San Cristobal, about fifteen minutes. Lama Foundation is best known for the book "Be here Now" written by Ram Dass who used to live at Lama Foundation. Visitors are welcome and can partake in the many workshops, summer dinners (donations accepted) Sufi dancing and Sabatth. Thanksgiving dinner is open to the public (donations recommended).
  • Beautiful property nestled outside Taos! Was lovely to be surrounded by the mountains and open space. It was spectacularly quiet and peaceful, with just the sound of the wind and birds when the windows were open. There were also 4 day old baby lambs that were so precious, we really enjoyed getting to walk across the way and see the animals every day as well as pet the two lovely cats and dog! The cabin shares a wall with the Poet's View stay I believe, which we didn't realize but wasn't an issue except for sometimes hearing the people staying there talking a bit loudly. Otherwise, it was a really lovely stay and peaceful property! Would definitely recommend and stay there again in the future.

  • Was the perfect spot for a quiet weekend getaway. Authentic NM vibe, beautiful property and friendly hosts (including their well cared for animals) We really enjoyed soaking in the hot tub under the stars, having coffee and breakfast in the little fenced backyard, and exploring the area.

  • Such a cute place! Sia’s place was so clean and nice. We loved having a wood burning fireplace and seeing their resident alpacas. Easy to find and great location in Taos!

    Andria2020-04-07T00:00:00Z
  • Our fav Airbnb! So fantastic great place when you have kids and they can go right outside and play with the animals and walk around versus having to pack them in the car and take them somewhere constantly. And the new hot tub is amazing to watch the sunset from!!

  • Such a great stay! The property is precious, and very homey. If you are looking for a unique, country feel this is the place. Our cottage was perfect, had everything we needed, and clean! The location is beautiful. The hot tub is great at night for star gazing! The host was great! Wonderful experience!

  • Great Place, will definitely come back and recommend this place. Beautiful and Peaceful place to unwind

  • Great stay, definitely would love to come and experience this place in different seasons! An easy drive to Taos, but we loved the seclusion.

  • The view's in April's place are awesome. The little casita is a perfect size for us. Not to big and not to small. Second time around was even better than last year. Saw the most beautiful snow fall. Hope to come back again next year. Thanks April!! P.S. Hat's off to Joe and Dennis for keeping up with the roads.

    Craig2020-02-08T00:00:00Z
  • Great location! Make sure to bring any cooking supplies you would normally use as well as lots of water. Easy check in. Fir casita is plenty of space for two people and our dogs.

  • Absolute hidden treasure!! We loved how quiet it was and that by bringing some groceries in we were able to tuck in for a few days and enjoy the surrounding beauty!

    Stacey2020-01-26T00:00:00Z
  • New Mexican Mountain Hideaway. This cabin is nestled in the mountains about an hour north of Red River, New Mexico amid breathtaking beauty particularly in the winter. Bring an all-wheel-drive vehicle if coming in the winter as it was very helpful in navigating the roads especially after dark if snow had accumulated. The cabin is so warm that I was in shorts and a tank top sitting in the living room by the fireplace. The cabin is a good launch point to destinations within the Enchanted Circle including Red River, Taos, Angel Fire, and Eagles' Nest for skiing, breweries, and shopping.

This is an open and airy end unit townhouse. It's light and comfortable, with beautiful views of the ski slopes and surrounding mountains. It's right on Main Street, walking distance to all the shopping and restaurants. It's a 3 block walk to the Copper lift. The wood fireplace adds warmth to the chilly winter nights. A fully outfitted kitchen makes meal prep easy.
  • Great place! We stayed her with our kids and mother in law, and there was plenty of room. Also the location is right in Red River, so you can walk to everything! Would definitely stay here again.

    Dallas2020-03-13T00:00:00Z
  • Amazing place that I would recommend to everyone. Quick response from Lynn always and so close to everything that we actually walked to a lot! Loved it! Breath taking view of the mountains and the guys could walk to the copper lift to ski!

    Ashlee2020-03-01T00:00:00Z
  • We had a great time staying at this condo. It was very clean and had every amenity we needed. The kitchen is well supplied including coffee, filters and basic spices for cooking. Our group especially enjoyed the wood that was stacked nest to the fireplace. There is a notebook of instructions on how to use the heaters and information about the town and restaurants. This was a great location for our ski trip. There are a lot of stairs so it's not the best place for small children or a handicapped person. We would definitely stay here again.

  • Traveler's Respite was a wonderful venue for our family Christmas this year. We enjoyed Red River so much, and Lynn's place is centrally located, convenient to both the town and the ski area. Being able to park right outside the unit made loading and unloading so convenient, and we our little ones loved the bunk beds!

ATTN: March reservations can be MUDDY. This camper is beautiful, romantic, retro-but-modern. The Taos air is clean, fresh, cool. The camper is set up at a private spot at our home about 12 miles (a 25-min. drive) east of Taos (toward Angel Fire). At 8,600 feet the winter can be strong, but the camper stays warm! The camper only has a TINY, TINY, TINY restroom. [NOTE: IN WINTER MONTHS running water IS UNAVAILABLE due to freezing temps (toilet works). But, the hot tub is available year-round!]
Camper includes full-sized bed, refrigerator, stovetop, microwave, and sink. There is a USB jack for your music and charging your phone. Camper has forced air propane heat. No cell service is available at the site. WiFi is available. Bonus: There is a beautiful hot tub available for your use at our home next door. Available 6AM to 10PM.
Valle Escondido is a beautiful mountain residential area with a golf course and lots of on-site hiking in the Kit Carson National Forest.
  • Great space and location! Randy was great, super quick to respond and happy to help get my car unstuck from the snow. Would love to come back.

  • Cool camper up in the mountains. Randy is a good host with local knowledge

    Jeremy2020-03-01T00:00:00Z
  • Randy’s camper is a wonderful, cozy spot to stay if you’re spending some time in Taos. Randy himself is an exceptional host and goes above and beyond to ensure a comfortable stay while also respecting the guest’s privacy. And on top of all that, his rates can’t be beat!

    Conor2020-02-24T00:00:00Z
  • Randy was such a blessing to us on our trip! He immediately came out and introduced himself, and made sure that we got everything situated. He is loaded with local knowledge, and his recommendations were spot on! Most importantly, Randy and his family are as caring and friendly as they come. I managed to get my heavy truck STUCK stuck on his infamous driveway. He informed me that I now hold the record for being stuck the worst so far (for his sake, don't accept this as a challenge), but they went above and beyond (I feel like this is an understatement) to get me out. I will be forever grateful to his family for helping me out of a literal rough spot, and getting me back to enjoying our vacation. Our trip was amazing, and I have Randy to thank for making that happen. If I could leave more than 5 stars, I would! Go check out Randy's camper, and experience a blessing!

    Bob2020-02-23T00:00:00Z
  • We had a great time hanging in the camper and hot tub. It was cold outside but it stayed nice and toasty inside! Randy was available whenever we needed. Thanks a bunch, Randy!

    Cara2020-02-15T00:00:00Z
  • Hospitality, hospitality, hospitality. Randy went out of his way on more than one occasion to make my stay comfortable and smooth. He’s just a really kind person who seems to like hosting folks and ensuring their stay is great. Enjoying the hot tub as the snow came down at night was magical. A real steal of a place!

    Colin2020-02-13T00:00:00Z

Beautiful open plan space with wide window views. Very well insulated environmentally conscious design. Washer/dryer downstairs. Steam shower with window view to Colorado. High-speed internet fast enough to stream movies in HD.
Situated just off the Enchanted Circle route, we are located five miles north of Taos between the Rio Grande Canyon and the Sangre de Cristo mountains.
  • We felt the pace of life slow down, which is exactly what we needed. House 101 was tranquil with majestic views. We came to find our connection with nature again , assuming it was out on the ski trails and hikes. Being excited to come back to such a spiritual space really filled our souls to the brim!

  • Amazing- 10/10 for all aspects of the home: style, location, amenities. Will return!

    Brittany2020-02-21T00:00:00Z
  • The hosts Karen and Andrew were very responsive and knowledgeable about the Taos area. We went skiing at Taos Mountain and the home location was very convenient. The views from the site are spectacular....we will be back!

    Catherine2020-02-16T00:00:00Z
  • The views were awesome! Loved the walls of windows and the house was very clean. We didn't realize there was no oven (we must not have read the listing closely) and the fridge/freezer was on the smaller side. This might have been more of an issue if we were staying for longer and had more groceries. Overall, lovely home and we'd definitely stay there again!

The Duck House Cabin is located north of Taos in the valley of Arroyo Hondo and sits right next to our pond and the Rio Hondo. Our home is on the property along with another Airbnb but far enough for privacy. The cabin does not have Wi-fi. We don't have a cleaning fee so the price is set as advertised. We also give our guests a $20 gift certificate to our cafe Orlando's New Mexican cafe.
The Cabin is not set up for full on cooking but has a small fridge, hot tea maker, toaster, microwave, electric skillet, blender, utensils, ice, coffee, tea, creamers, sweeteners. The cabin has an outdoor shower with a biodegradable soap. Towels are provided. The Chemical toilet is next to the parking area about 50 yards away. You can make a camp fire next to the pond, there will be fire starter in the tin bucket. To help keep the cabin affordable for everyone we ask to do the dishes and pile all linen and towels in a sheet. Thank You.
We are located north of Taos down in the valley of Arroyo Hondo. Very quiet with horse and cattle green pastures and lots of deciduous trees. We are 5 minutes to the Black Rock Hot Springs on the Rio Grand River and John Dunn bridge and just down the road is New Buffalo where they filmed parts of "Easy Rider".
  • This place is super cute and nice and quiet. Perfect for a couple to get away.

  • The Duck House was a fun experience. It was close to the places we wished to visit - the Rio Grande Gorge National Monument, the the John Dunne Bridge, and the Black Rock Hot Springs. It was also convenient to getting to Taos. The house is extremely clean, the location and view were very nice. The hosts, Yvette and Orlando were responsive and made sure that it was easy for us to find the house. The day we arrived was quite warm, Yvette made sure that the windows were open so that the house was aired out and ready for us. Thank you.

    Lily Beth2019-09-07T00:00:00Z
  • What a delightful AirBnB! Waking up with the sunrise, coffee on the porch, a nice morning shower al fresco... We were in Taos over Labor Day weekend for a concert and the town was bursting at the seams. It was so nice to be able to escape and come back to the Duck Cabin after a long day. You're out in the countryside here and the peace and quiet is wonderful. Taos is just down the road and Arroyo Seco isn't but a 10 minute drive along a quaint back road. Yvette and Orlando's cabin is perfect; cozy, very clean and quiet. We met Diesel and his little puppy friend our last morning. They just appeared at the door and are both so sweet. Get ready to dole out the belly rubs. You can't go wrong with a stay at the Duck Cabin. Two thumbs up!

  • We had such a great time at the Duck House! The little cabin truly felt like a home away from home, and waking up to that gorgeous sunrise over the mountains is something that truly can not be beat. There is nothing that Orlando and Yvette didn’t think about while creating an amazing place to stay. It was secluded yet still close to Taos and other great hotspots. Also, Orlando’s restaurant is AMAZING!!

    Aidan2019-08-04T00:00:00Z
  • Wonderful stay at the Duck House! Beautiful little house, beautiful views! The sounds of the running water provided excellent sleep. Loved the outside shower... hot water, private and roomy. Hosts very friendly and helpful. Diesel the dog is adorable (we love him). The hosts’ restaurant is a must stop... delicious!! We’re ready to go back to the Duck House for sunrise coffee on the front deck!

    Joe2019-07-30T00:00:00Z
  • The location is great, very little traffic on their road and the sound of the water flowing through the duck pond masks the occasional car that drives by anyway. This place has a really great vibe, peaceful spot to hangout, beautiful spot to wake up to in the morning.

  • Michele's place is as described, a cute little house with a nice yard. We unfortunately cut our vacation short, but would absolutely stay here again when we redo our trip! Sitting out in the courtyard with our dog was relaxing, and the interior of the house was super cute. Michele left helpful instructions for getting around town, as well as some of her favorite places in Taos. Highly recommend!

Our newly-renovated 318 sq. ft. casita-style studio features a kiva fireplace, 10-foot ceilings with traditional viga beams, comfortable bed and beautiful kitchen space. It is adorned with turquoise accents and artwork from local and international artists. Wi-Fi and cable TV allow you to stay connected and enjoy a relaxing evening watching your favorite TV channels. Casita Turquoise is the culmination of a vision we began to develop in the mid-2010s as our careers took us to many special places in the world, including Taos. Casita Turquoise is an homage to our various peregrinations across the globe. The artistic maps above the bed are of cities in which we lived in the U.S., Canada and Haiti, and some of the elements of the décor, such as the bedside rugs, are handwoven products made by skilled artisans of Ethiopia, where our careers took us in 2017. We are so happy to welcome you into this space and share a bit of our journey with you.
Casita Turquoise is located just 2 blocks from the Historic District in a safe and quiet residential neighborhood. It boasts beautifully landscaped grounds with cottonwood and juniper trees. The unit comes with one free parking spot and additional public parking is just one block away.
  • Walking distance to town. This room is about the size of a hotel room but adds the benefit of a stove. Easy access with a keypad lock. I might suggest bringing your own pillow if you prefer a firm pillow. Great for a quick ski trip!

  • Comfortable, cozy, and luxurious! We loved our stay. The perfect place to stay while attending a wedding at El Monte Sagrado.

    Maggie2020-03-08T00:00:00Z
  • Well-located in the heart of downtown Taos, I highly recommend a stay here. It was welcoming, clean, and well-maintained with all the amenities one could hope for (including the most comfortable bed ever) in a cozy, romantic, getaway.

    Karl2020-03-05T00:00:00Z
  • Absolutely lovely little place. Cozy and comfortable.

    Shannon2020-03-01T00:00:00Z
  • Our stay was perfect! The place was the perfect launching pad for both exploring town and skiing at Taos. The ski area is only 30 minutes driving and town is walking distance. We were able to explore the plaza and hit up some museums without driving, which is always an added bonus. The place is super cozy and stylish and the perfect size for 2 people. Loved being able to have a fire!

  • Great location! Super cute cottage!!!

    Sue2020-02-21T00:00:00Z
  • The casita is such a lovely and cozy space. It has so many special touches, including the traditional kiva fireplace, the fully-equipped and colorful kitchen, the beautiful exposed-wood beam ceiling, and the wonderfully comfortable bed. And on top of that, the location truly can’t be beat. I walked & wandered all thru the historic district every day I was there, grabbing coffee down the street, dipping into countless art galleries and finding so much amazing food within a couple blocks. I also snowboarded one day and the resort was an easy and scenic 20 minutes away. Hugo was very friendly with his messages and thorough with his check-in process, as well as with their guestbook, which has some great restaurant tips. I really hope to come back soon!

    Dylan2020-02-18T00:00:00Z
  • The condo is beautifully decorated and makes for a cozy stay for one or two people. Check-in is a breeze with Hugo and Jessica providing detailed information you need to make yourself at home. The location is also great - easy walking distance to a number of restaurants, bars, and galleries. Highly recommend.

  • Quiet beautiful location and inspiring artists loft. The view is gorgeous. We enjoyed the quietness of “just reading” at night! Beautiful hikes out the backyard! It is a 10 -15 minute drive to Taos-but gorgeous scenes along the way!

    Madelaine2020-02-18T00:00:00Z
  • A short trip from Taos to expansive views and peace and quiet! The space was creative with a cozy bed nook. We enjoyed the nearby hiking trails right in the back yard.

  • We had the best stay with our two pups! We visit Red River usually 2/3 times a year. This was a last minute trip and we were lucky enough to find this gem. Red River was having quite the epic snow storm while we were there. We lost power one night for awhile and our lovely hosts brought us more firewood and fire starters to keep us warm. The music playing when we arrived and yummy pound cake was also super sweet! Another thing to mention is that the beds upstairs are SUPER comfortable. You don’t always find that with Airbnb’s. Nice bonus. We look forward to staying here again and being able to enjoy the deck! The view was stunning. Thanks again for everything!!

    Ashley2019-11-30T00:00:00Z
  • We stayed at The Cottage the 5 days leading up to Thanksgiving and had a wonderful time. The place was exactly as described and the river was mere feet from the back door of the cabin. The cabin is just far away from town to feel like you’re in a remote location in the mountains yet close enough to get to town in less than 10 minutes. Our kids were able to play in the snow, sled down the driveway, make s’mores in the fire pit and watch a couple of families of deer roam the property daily. Carlos was an awesome host and made sure we were taken care of the whole time we were there. We would love to go back and stay again, especially during the fall to watch the Aspens change color. What a memorable trip we had!!

  • Awesome view just by the river so peaceful and relaxing

    Xochitl2019-09-21T00:00:00Z
  • Beautiful place right on the river! The gazebo, fire pit and hammock are all awesome touches. We were very impressed and would love to stay again.

  • Great little cottage. Fit our family of five well. Relaxing and lovely spot to unplug. Stocked with plenty of kitchen, outdoor, and bath amenities. One note is the 2 twin beds downstairs are much narrower than a regular twin. Was fine for our teens but would be hard for a large adult. Loved our stay!

    Allison2019-07-05T00:00:00Z

Cabin 6 is our most popular unit. With wood log walls inside it's about 900 sq. ft and sleeps up to 5 people. It's got a full size fridge, gas stove, microwave and a full set of dishes, pots and pans, utensils, etc. There's a wood burning stove plus gas and electric heaters. It has a large foyer/entryway for all your outdoor gear. The patio out back offers unobstructed views to the lake, while the log bench out front is a perfect spot to sit and watch the sunset over Wheeler Peak, NM's tallest.
    Awesome views, quiet setting.
The area is very peaceful and the views are outstanding in every direction! Our side road only leads to a few homes, many of which are not occupied full time. Quiet neighborhood, close to the lake.
  • Absolutely loved staying here. If I am ever back in this area I will be staying here again. Don was so kind & was easy to communicate with. The place was cozy and in a great location.

  • Cabin 6 is a great place to stay. It's roomy, comfortable and clean. We really liked the nice touches, such as soaps, hot chocolate, etc. Don has a carbon monoxide detector in the cabin, which is nice, too. We look forward to staying there again. We enjoyed visiting with Don, also. Super experience.

  • Absolutely love Pepper Sauce Camp!! It was my turn to take care of where we stayed this year on our trip back to Eagles Nest. I wanted and needed more space than we had on our last trip. Cabin 6 at Pepper Sauce Camp was perfect for us. It was spacious and comfy. We had a fantastic view of the lake. The kitchen was big enough for 3 of us to be in at the same time. We loved all the extras and really appreciated how kind and hospitable Don and his wife were.

  • Very Clean, easy access to sky valley and Taos area, there is a great hiking trail just behind the cabin.

    Amir2019-10-27T00:00:00Z
  • The cabin was a fantastic getaway for my family (2 dogs and a husband) and I for the 4th of July. Being up in the ski valley and near the national forest was fantastic because no scary fireworks for the the dogs. Even though the cabin is right off the road, and has 2 close neighbors, it was super quiet and peaceful -- close to lots of trails, away from the town, and had everything we needed (microwave, toaster, coffee pot, oven, stove, room service(!)). I'd definitely recommend it for a quiet summer getaway.

    Katie2019-07-07T00:00:00Z
  • Cabins is really cozy and conveniently located close to the ski valley.

    Gilberto2019-01-06T00:00:00Z
  • Awesome cabin! A bit far from Angel Fire as it's on the other side of the mountain (we did the bike park there). The cabin itself is terrific and we had a blast. The patio gives view to thousands of pine trees and is picturest, we almost thought it was surreal. Will come again!!

  • Lovely little cabin tucked away on a hill in a great location only 1.5 miles from Taos Ski Mountain. If you prefer something more secluded and quiet rather than a hotel or lodge, this is the place for you. I highly recommend.

Enjoy this private and unique adobe house on 14 acres with its secluded but perfectly situated location 17 miles from Taos Ski Valley and 2.5 miles north of Taos Plaza. You'll have the whole house and all the land to yourself--perfect for a quiet retreat or a romantic getaway. In case your group requires more space, there is an additional 2 person room available through Airbnb (only available to guests that book the Relaxing Taos Adobe Abode.) Please inquire!
The room is just a small part of a 3000 square foot classic old adobe with 30" thick walls. The house was originally built in the early 1900's and features locally milled pine wood floors and counter tops, soft mud plaster with latilla and split cedar ceilings. It sits on 14 acres with incredible unobstructed views of Taos Mountain. It has mature cottonwoods, dozens of (somewhat feral) fruit trees and an acequia (irrigation stream) along its eastern border. The large guest room suite (roughly 350 square feet) features wonderful radiant heat from a Kuma oil stove (winter), a couch, a club chair, 40" HDTV, HULU with Live TV (includes multiple HBO stations, local channels, ESPN channels, NBC Sports, and many other traditional cable channels.) Disney+, Netflix, HBO NOW, Amazon Prime, ESPN+, PBS and many other APPs are also available on a 100Mbs wireless network. The room is also equipped with A/C for the summer months (though the nights in Taos are very cool and the A/C is rarely needed.) The queen sized bed has a feather comforter with duvet, feather pillows, (neck and memory foam pillows are also available as are down alternative comforters and pillows) premium cotton sheets, wool blankets and a mattress pad heater (warm up the sheets before you go to bed!) for extra coziness. There is a small desk with pens, pencils and notepads and a flashlight in case of emergencies. There is an iron inside the wardrobe and an ironing board next to the wardrobe. Lastly, there is an additional 2 person bedroom (king sized bed) that can be booked through AirBnB if you are looking for more space. (The additional room is only available to guests that book this listing--you'll never be sharing the house with strangers.) Enjoy!
The house is located off a paved road but is a 1.5 miles from the nearest grocery stores (Cid's is a wonderful locally owned natural food grocery store similar to Whole Foods) and restaurants. Its about a 45 minute walk into town and a 25 minute drive to Taos Ski Valley. Other places to check out: Coffee: World Cup, The Apothecary Grocery Stores: Cid's Food Market, Taos Market, Smiths Restaurants: Dinner: The Love Apple, Orlandos, Parcht. Lunch/Breakfast: Taos Diner, Gutiz, Manzanita Market, Koko
  • The perfect Northern New Mexico home away from home! Mountain views and mature trees in the backyard. The perfect porch for relaxing and all the amenities of home inside. Chris is incredibly hospitable and an easy communicator. I’ve already booked another stay.

  • My husband and I stayed 3 nights here and we LOVED it! Easily one of the most unique properties we have stayed in. The historic adobe architecture is amazing, super quiet and cozy during cold nights. We cooked a lot of meals there and felt like a queen and king in the epic dining room. The view of the mountains, the incredible stars, and the proximity to town make it an ideal location. Chris is a very thoughtful, detail oriented host. He gave great recommendations and always responded quickly. Don't pass this place up!!

    Alexis2020-02-29T00:00:00Z
  • Chris's place is nothing short of awesome! So quiet and private you feel like you're miles away from everything. But your only a few minutes to town and under a half hour to the mountain! Write. Paint. Hike. Meditate. Telecommute. Bring pooch. This magnificent 8-pointed Star House is in a magical part of northern New Mexico, between the village of Questa &the Colorado border with breathtaking mountain views. Disc. 50% mo 21% wk. Hike Wild Rivers. Explore Rio Grande del Norte National Monument. Your quiet sanctuary: kitchen, bedroom, living room, bathroom, washer/dryer. Private driveway, entrance and patio. Writer on 2nd & 3rd floors. Spectacular sunsets, mountains & night sky.
There's no other home in the world like the Star House. The entire first floor is yours. I live on the 2nd and 3rd floors but I'm a writer and I write quietly so you can have total privacy. (Please note that before I got a month-to-month tenant working on a project in Questa, I had the Star House listed as a vacation rental and had a 5-star rating and rave reviews. She has now gone on to another project and I'm putting the Star House back on AirBnb, but because I had deleted it before, the rave reviews were deleted too and I'm starting all over again. Let me prove to you that I'm an excellent host.) In your apartment there is a living room with a sofa and wing chair for relaxing and watching TV or reading, and a bedroom with an adjoining bathroom which has a walk-in shower (or you may choose the other bathroom which has a tub/shower or, if you stay long term, you may have both bathrooms.) The kitchen has a new refrigerator/freezer (see photos), new gas stove and oven, new counters and cabinets, new sink, new dishes and silverware and a maple table with four new chairs. The Sangre de Cristos Mountains peek in the big kitchen window. The bedroom also has a view of the mountains and the furniture is art deco. Your comfortable bed has a reading lamp on each side. The walk-in closet can not only hold your clothes, it's big enough to store your suitcases. The en suite bathroom features a built-in mahogany cupboard, walls lined with pine and mahogany and a walk-in shower with blue rocks on the floor. (Actually, they're smooth tiles but they look like rocks.) Thank goodness the first floor is partially underground. It's always cool at night in Northern New Mexico but your part of the house is cool all summer, even during hot days. And there's an evaporative cooler in your living room. It's not air conditioning which uses refrigerants. The main difference between air coolers and air conditioners is the first runs air through water, reducing the temperature through evaporative cooling, while the other uses refrigerants to absorb heat, push out cold air and reduce humidity to cool the room. Air coolers are healthier. Each room has electric heat. Outdoors, your private patio has a bistro table and two chairs - and an umbrella if it's not too windy. Nearby is a fenced-in flower garden, where you can pick some flowers to put in your apartment. Your living room window frames that garden and bluebirds love to perch on the fence and flirt with you. There's a sofa as well as a comfy wing chair for reading or you can watch Netflix on the flat screen TV attached to the wall. This is MAGICAL country. The night sky is spectacular! There's no light pollution so you can even see the milky way on clear nights. If you meditate (or even if you don't), there's a hidden path for you to follow to the far back of the property where a quiet oases awaits you. Bring one of our folding chairs and sit under a pine tree. Very private. Bring your laptop if you want to write or email. There's high-speed wifi. If you're tired of telecommuting from home, come to the star house and work. The designer? My late husband, Jacques Duvoisin, who was an architect, designed the house. After we bought the land (because of the VIEWS) he kept doodling with design ideas and discarding them, until one evening when we were in a restaurant having dinner. He took a square paper napkin, put another square napkin at an angle on top and said: Voila! An 8-pointed star house. A small town, High Bridge in Hunterdon County, New Jersey, was my last stop before here. I love both places but this is heaven! Bring your hiking boots: Wild Rivers Recreation Areas, which is part of the Rio Grande del Norte National Monument, is just 10 miles away and has some challenging climbs. Ski at Red River, Angel Fire or Taos Mountain. There's rafting nearby too. The great Sand Dunes National Park is less than an hour and a half from here. If you've never been, it's a MUST SEE! I was dragged there by neighbors who insisted I see it (I thought it would be boring) and it blew my mind! There's no adequate word to describe the views at the Star House. If you belong here, the kick-ass mountains will captivate you and make you want to stay awhile. - If you crave clean, pure air and clean, pure water... - If you love beauty and appreciate the clean lines of an 8-pointed star-shaped house... - If you have a deep connection with nature and want your soul nourished by the brilliance of planets and stars against a dark sky... this is the rental for you. (And your pooch!)
The neighborhood is quiet and the people in the El Rito section of Questa are the best! A beautiful Tibetan Buddhist Temple and stupa are a half mile away to the south where teachings (Buddhist and wholistic) and retreats take place. The Latir Volunteer Fire department is a half mile to the west.

  • Everything was great with the cabin. Great views since it's right on the river. Close to all the shops and restaurants in town. Our family of six didn't want to leave! We hope to stay again in the summer.

  • Very cozy and perfect location. Will be staying again.

  • Wonderful cabin located directly in front of the river. The cabin was clean and the atmosphere was perfect. We didnt have to walk far for great fishing and simply walked a few feet from the front porch to the river for great fishing! I will be back!

  • Great place, we came to ride the trails and this place was perfect! Plenty of room for three couples. We lived sitting out front and watching the river run by!

  • The area is beautiful and quiet and the cabin was great. Definitely a great place to stay and enjoy a snowy vacation.

  • Wonderful place to stay, reasonably priced, conveniently located, overall a great experience.

    Ashley2018-12-22T00:00:00Z
  • This cabin is great! Right on the river. We have stayed in these cabins before and the updated retaining wall at the river adds better access to get down to the river. We will be back.

  • My husband and his dad has a wonderful time at this cabin. They had recently upgraded the TV cable and they never could get it to work, Laura offered the company’s phone number to trouble shoot but they didn’t feel like it was worth it. Communication was good. Be prepared to pay additional taxes AFTER you have booked the cabin. New Mexico doesn’t collect their own taxes and so after we booked the cabin then there was a request for another $50 dollars for taxes. To me it wasn’t CLEARLY state or even mentioned when communicating with the host. The cabin is right is just steps away from the river. Parking is VERY tight. Overall they had a wonderful stay. Check in/out was easy.

Relax & retreat to our one bedroom, one bathroom, mountain cabin in Northern New Mexico, in the town of Amalia. Our cabin is located on a 3,000 acre private resort that our guests make hike, mountain bike and explore dozens of trails and mountain views throughout their stay. Great for couples, solo adventurers, families (with kids), and pet-friendly. 5 miles to Rio Costilla Park & 45 miles to Taos.
One bedroom adobe-style cabin is located in our casita village, and includes it’s own private driveway, porch, private entry and self check-in. The property contains gate codes and key codes for access, so there is plenty of security. We also have employees onsite to help with any of your needs. There are four other cabins within the vicinity- but not near or right next to each other. You’ll have plenty of privacy and feel secluded. The cabin is decorated with Spanish-style art work and has plenty of windows to lookout and see nature views, exceptional kitchen features, equipped with kitchenware, stove, oven, sink, refrigerator, coffeemaker, heater, bathtub and shower, clean linens, two couches, and a King size bed. There is Cable TV with HBO and additional channels, and wifi for access to internet- everything to make your stay comfortable, and memorable. The land has an open meadow, ski slope hills, Aspens and Cottonwood trees, and great views of the mountains. It is perfect for hiking on one of our many trails, and a quiet and serene place to relax, explore, write, star gaze or go snowmobiling. Take a walk through our vast open meadow and hiking trails right outside your cabin. Pets are allowed, absolutely no smoking inside. Relax with scenic views in your own private mountain resort. However, as the unit is a little on the small side, it is recommended to book a 3-bedroom unit for four people. Here is the listing for the 3 bedroom unit: https://www.airbnb.com/rooms/15869813

  • We had a great time during our 3 night stay at the cabin. The roads leading up to the cabin were well maintained and cleared even though they had received over 16 inches of snow in the days prior to us arriving. I have a 4 wheel drive truck and had no issue making it up the road. Check in was easy at both the gate and our room. The cabin was clean and had everything we needed. As others have suggested, bring your own water. There were plenty of trails and places to explore around the property, one of the trails was just steps away from our cabin. I would recommend this place to anyone who wants to be out in nature and off the grid. We would definitely visit again.

    Ethan2020-02-16T00:00:00Z
  • If you love peace and quiet this is the place for you. Perfect mountain spot for our adventures family.

    Suzanne2020-01-01T00:00:00Z
  • The views in our casita were phenomenal! We were lucky enough to have a snow storm hit during our stay. The property is heavenly and the casita was warm and cozy. I cooked Thanksgiving dinner at the casita and the kitchen is well stocked. I enjoyed walking the property and recommend taking snowshoes and a sled. There were other visitors but I never encountered them on any of my hikes.

    Sheila2019-12-01T00:00:00Z
  • The area is amazing. If you enjoy pure silence and the finest nature has to offer this is definitely your place. It was a nice weekend that I didn't want to end.

    Kevin2019-11-11T00:00:00Z
  • "Tell future travelers about what they can expect..." ---Silence. Utter silence. You can expect it to be so silent that you hear your ears ring. :-) The night sky shines brighter than I've ever seen in my life- the stars and Milky Way so clear. ---You can expect solitude. We saw one person the three days we were there. Yes you are in a cluster of a few cabins. But everyone is there for the same reasons- nature, respite and solitude. ---You can expect rejuvenation. Walking the trails and sitting in the nearby meadow were so mentally and spiritually healing. You feel so far from civilization- and you are- so much that the wildlife is not afraid of you. You cohabit the land together. ---You can expect the comforts of home. April and Michael have thought of everything that you could possibly need for your stay. The cabin is chalk-full of all modern amenities; dishwasher, wi-fi, cable TV, to name a few. You can "connect" or "disconnect" from real-life as much as you want when you are in the cabin. Its up to you! (We kept the tv off, but connected to the wi-fi to keep in touch with family while we were there.) The kitchen is full of supplies so you can cook your own meals. They even have coffee grounds for you if you forgot to pack the most important drink of the day! :-) I highly recommend bringing your own food/snacks while you are there so you don't have to drive all over the mountains to get a meal. Taos and some smaller towns are close enough, though, if you need something. ***We highly recommend this place for people who want to get away from it all in the Rocky Mountains, but still enjoy some of the comforts of home.***

    Jessica2019-10-20T00:00:00Z
  • Such a cute place! It's tucked away with lots of land to explore. We were able to bring our two dogs and everyone had a blast. We had some trouble with the gate code to the property at first, but April replied in less than a minute with a solution that worked. Highly recommend!!

    Megan2019-10-05T00:00:00Z
  • This place is wonderful! Haven’t seen any fishermen review it, but it’s a great place as a home base for the Valle Vidal and Rio Costilla. Upon arrival, we couldn’t get in due to a broken front door lock, which apparently kept the cleaning person out too. April quickly got us some help, but ultimately had to move us into a another larger cabin next door and we certainly appreciated it. We had great WiFi, TV service, and a quiet time while we weren’t fishing, which we did every day. I highly recommended this place and hope to come back sometime.

  • We came up for four days during the corona scare and the stock market crash and it was exactly what we were hoping for. It really is a soul healing retreat for anyone looking to get away from it all and get centered. Paul is a wonderful human being as well. A very unique and once and a lifetime experience. Thanks Guys!

    Greg2020-03-14T00:00:00Z
  • This place was EXCEPTIONAL. So many nice little touches made the big picture. Clean, quiet, comfy bed and dining area, beautiful kitchen and bath. And some great little snacks and food for breakfast. Paul met us and recommended some restaurants in town that did not disappoint! My partner and I both received Ayurvedic treatment from Tizia, and I felt I was in India all over again. This hogan is in a quiet area and not to far from Taos. We are very satisfied with the entire stay, and look forward to visiting again soon.

    Casey2020-03-08T00:00:00Z
  • Wow! If you are only looking for a place to lay your head then save this place for someone else. But if you want a truly magical space that wraps you in a warm cocoon then look no further. Tizia has created a special space complete with all sorts of spiritually uplifting elements. Next time we are back in Taos we will be staying here without a doubt.

    Monica2020-02-25T00:00:00Z
  • Absolutely amazing space. We had everything we needed to cook a nice meal in the kitchen...and a beautiful eating area with a view of the mountain range to enjoy as the sun was setting. Falling asleep ... we could look up and see the stars through the skylight situated right above the bed. There were so many special touches throughout...there is a private back patio to enjoy in a safe country setting. We would hands down recommend this to anyone wanting a unique air bnb experience.

    Cynthia2020-02-22T00:00:00Z
  • Architectural details were outstanding. Cozy environment and a perfect retreat to reset. Tizia and Paul were gracious and wonderful hosts.

    Kelley Anne2020-02-17T00:00:00Z
  • This magical little place is mesmerizing beyond belief! I’ll never stay anywhere else near Taos as long as I can help it! The restaurant recommendations were spot on! And the hosts are so friendly and clearly mindful about building a healing and comfortable space.

  • Awesome host, we screwed up the date and Timothy fixed it for us with no issues...we will be back to this place, king size comfy bed, nice large room, sparkling clean, nice view out our window, but what sold us is Timothy's extraordinary hospitality!

    Thomas2019-07-08T00:00:00Z
  • Eagles Nest is a wonderful place to visit and bed down for your nights stay after your done with your days events, whatever they may be. Its location is right in the middle of three different places, Angel Fire, Red River, and Taos. All of which of their own local draw but Eagles Nest lies in between all of them, which makes getting around so much easier for you and your family. Not to mention, that if go for the fishing, Timothy, from Eagles Nest Fly Shack can guide you to all of the local spots. Communication with Timothy was fantastic. We never had long to wait for a reply. Timothy's place was very comfortable and the amenities were plentiful. We look forward to the next time we will visit.

  • My husband and I thoroughly loved this stay. Our host was responsive and informative. She checked in on us to make sure we had everything and to also offer suggestions about dining. The location and view was spectacular. And last but not least, the house was beautiful and very cozy. We could not have asked for more.

    Monica2019-12-09T00:00:00Z
  • Dianes place was clean, super easy to locate not to mention perfectly located near shops, winery, and restaurants. It was the perfect size for me and my girls and with a beautiful view of the mountains from the balcony. We ran into a few issues on our trip that set us arriving at after dark and Diane made sure to still give us a wonderful welcome! She had the heat on and lights on for us! We cooked some of our meals and her kitchen is loaded with everything you could possibly need for cooking/baking. There were plenty of towels and blankets as my girls enjoyed cuddling up on the couch. Diane supplied us with some firewood before our arrival! We would definitely love to return to Red River and hope we are able to stay at her place!

  • This was the fourth time we've stayed at Red River Condo in as many years, and I'm sure we will be back again. We enjoy the kitchen and especially appreciate the washer/dryer as the ski gear can get a little funky after a few days on the hill. The central location is great for restaurants/shops, and I have walked in my ski boots to/from the Copper lift. We really enjoy it here.
