“Just a short walk down the hill, Lake Boren Park is our neighborhood jewel. Kids climbing toys, tennis courts, small lake and fishing dock; and walking trails. This is one of our favorite places in Newcastle. Check out the booths during September Newcastle Days anuly. d the live music then and during the summer concerts.”

“Another great walking area, this paved walk area has picnic tables, stationary barbecues, playgrounds, and all of it follows the cedar river all the way to where it empties into Lake Washington. It is nestled between the Boeing Plant, and the Renton Municipal airport where EVERY new 737 starts its life. It is a GREAT area for fly fishing, with a uniqueness one can only find right here, I have had numerous fish hooked right as a brand new airplane wing rolls past on the the plane bridge towards the runway. You don't find an area that has a balance of nature and concrete jungle like here.”

“The 7 mile paved trail travels through wetlands and farmland, and offers connectors to the Lake Youngs Trail, a 9 mile, slightly more rugged, unpaved trail. Our property is adjacent to the trail, but not directly accessible to it - from 140th, turn left onto 240th, then the very next left turn, and parking for the trail entrance is right there.”
